Poor Living and Working Conditions as the Reason for...
Poor Living and Working Conditions as the Reason for Bolsheviks Seizure of Power in 1917
Around eighty percent of Russia s population were peasants who lived in communities. Living and
working conditions for most peasants were dreadful, famine and starvation were common. People
worked for long hours, their wages were low and rent was high. In factory towns people lived in
overcrowded slums and there were very few sanitary facilities. Poor living and working conditions
existed all the way, while other causes of the Bolshevik seizure of power came in later on. Peasants
wanted change, but they were not getting it. The peasants became furious and more issues got worse
for them. Everything added up ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 1911 Stolypin was assassinated and, in the years 1911 1914, protests and strikes began to increase.
Nicholas II took Russia into the First World War. The First World War had created conditions in
Russia that favoured the revolution. The war worsened Russian conditions, food and fuel shortages in
the town led to protests and strikes, the agricultural system crumbled due to lack of workers, the
railway system began to collapse, it was increasingly difficult to get food and fuel supplies to the city.
Bad leadership in the front and lack of equipment and clothing led to mutinies in the army. The war
speeded up the process of change people had soon had enough with the Tsar and of what they thought
was a pointless war. Most people wanted a short victorious war, but there was a shortage of rifles and
other munitions equipment, military leadership was bad. In cities like Petrograd many strikes and
demonstrations took place. By 1917, the army was no longer supporting the Tsar. He now had no
effective means of suppressing the revolt, so this led to the Tsar s abdication. However this is not the
most important cause for the Bolsheviks seizure of power in 1917 because Lenin persuaded people to
join his party and go against the government by using Marxist views.

From: Gregg Gregson
Date: October 16, 2013
Re: Distribution Analysis and Recommendation Summary
In aligning with senior management s initiative to reduce stock out to 1.5%, alongside implementing a
variable lead time order cycle, Large Bakers will achieve an annual cost savings valued at $194,000.
Background Information
Given Large Bakers Management initiative that the possibility of stock out be reduced to 1.5%, the
following analysis depicts which of the following options Large Bakers should utilize throughout the
company s supply distribution network to ensure efficiency and valued cost savings are achieved.
The two options are as follows:
Regular, 25 car shipments, spaced 14 days ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Recommendation
As the manager of Large Baker s supply chain department, it is recommended by implementing option
2, a variable lead time, buffering against variation in lead time into the company s supply chain
distribution network that Large Bakers will achieve approximately $194,000 annually.
With this alternative Large Bakers will keep a close eye on production level and order the 25 cars at
variable lead time. As a result, efficient production will allow Large Bakers to save on decreased
inventory costs as well as achieve greater efficiency in utilization of key transport times to align with
consumer demand.

Safety Stock Required Determination
Known Research:
Flour usage to meet demand can be taken at an average of 2,000 tonnes every 2 weeks, with a standard
deviation of 300 tonnes.
Variable order cycle lead time from placement to receiving of the order = 4 days.
If an absolutely regular 14 day shipping cycle is followed the railway will cut its rate by $5.00 per
tonne.
Under the variable order cycle the freight rate saving will be only $4.50 per tonne.
Demand Varies:
Level of production required: 98.5%
98.5 corresponds to 2.17 standard deviation
Standard deviation of demand 300 tons
Safety stock required: 2.17 x 300 tons = 651 tonnes
Lead time Varies:
Level of protection required = 98.5%

Standard Definition Algorithm For A Wired Network
Part 1:
Question 1
Standard Definition Algorithm Suggested Use
WEP A wireless protocol that is intended to deliver the privacy comparable to that of a wired network.
RC4 No longer used unless it is for lessons in hacking. Big security flaws and easy to hack.
WPA This protocol offers more data encryption than WEP and also offers user authentication. RC4
with TKIP This is used with older devices. But these may still need an update through firmware so
they will be compliant.
WPA2 This protocol offers CCMP (Counter Cipher Mode with Block Chaining Message
Authentication Code Protocol) as the replacement of TKIP. AES Only used in newer devices.
(Dulaney Easttom, 2014) (How To Geek, n.d.)
Question 2 Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP) is an encryption protocol that is included in the
IEEE 802.11i standard for wireless LAN networks. It helps provide more encryption security than
Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP). TKIP uses its algorithms to protect WEP s security flaws and allows
the users of older devices to upgrade without replacing any hardware. These algorithms are additional
code at the beginning and end to capture and modify WEP. TKIP uses RC4 as its foundation but it also
includes four more algorithms to increase strength: cryptographic message integrity check,
initialization vector sequencing mechanism, per packet key mixing function, and re keying
mechanism. Although, TKIP is used for upgrading security on devices equipped with WEP, it isn t

Unreasonable Searches In Public Schools
A search is an examination of a person, place, or vehicle for contraband or evidence of a crime (Harr,
Hess, Orthmann, Kingsburry, 2015, p. 198). Searches are essentially invasions of someone s privacy
and, therefore, are stringently regulated by the Fourth Amendment. A seizure is a taking by law
enforcement or other government agent of contraband, evidence of a crime, or even a person into
custody (Harr et al., 2015, p. 199). The Fourth Amendment also closely regulates seizures. The Fourth
Amendment prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures and demands that any search or arrest
warrant be founded on probable cause. The increase of educational and social development of students
is the primary goal of public schools. While attempting to accomplish this goal, investigations take

Challenges And Challenges Of A Transition During Change
Trying to motivate and inspire people to make change can be difficult. Many people are stuck in their
comfort zone and don t like making change. There are many factors and obstacles that contribute to
this issue, but being aware of these issues and knowing how to address them from the beginning will
make for a smoother transition. Kotter (2007) explains eight categories that many companies,
organizations, or groups fail at when trying to make and implement changes. In order for your
transition during change to be the most successful, you must address each step along the way or
people will not be on board with you. The eight stages include: establish a sense of urgency, form a
powerful guiding coalition, create a vision, communicate the vision, empower others to act on the
vision, plan for and create short term wins, consolidate improvements and produce more change, and
institutionalize new approaches. If your change is failing, addressing these eight areas will make your
plan more successful. Knowing each step will help leaders from making common mistakes, avoiding
unnecessary roadblocks along the way (Kotter 2007). The first step that causes many people to fail is
not establishing a great sense of urgency. One must show people statistics, the company s position, or
funds, in a dramatic way, in order for people to realize that something must be done quickly. You must
motivate them to believe there is a problem and that change is needed. Many people fail in

felt during the 1870s. This story is a serious representation of how difficult it was to get divorced
during that time. Throughout this short story, a woman by the name of Louise Mallard rejoices at the
news of her husband s death. Due to her disappointment of seeing that her husband had not actually
passed, Mrs. Mallard dies. One might question why she was overjoyed by that upsetting news;
however, she was justified in feeling cheerful. In this story, Mrs. Mallard states numerous times how
she felt free . Having this mindset after hearing her husband had passed one has reason to believe Mrs.

Always Outnumbered, Always Outgunned Essay
In my opinion, a book is always a better choice for entertainment then a movie. Usually, when a book
is adapted into a movie; the movie always seems to omit scenes and details mentioned in the book.
This is the same with Walter Mosley s Always Outnumbered, Always Outgunned; a novel that tells a
story surrounding a man named Socrates Fortlow. However, while the movie version of Always
Outnumbered, Always Outgunned follows the same concept as the book there are substantial
differences in terms of events, details, and chronological order. The first major difference between the
movie and the book is how quickly the movie reveals some of the flaws of the main character Socrates
Fortlow. In fact the movie starts with Socrates appearing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

him to go home. When he won t leave them alone, Darryl and his friends become aggravated, and
Darryl turns around and knifes the boy to death. After realizing the boy is dead, Darryl and his friends
leave and never tell anyone what happened. Later on in the book, Darryl proceeds to tell Socrates that
he is haunted in his dreams by the retarded boy all the time. However, in the movie this same plot has
a very different twist. In the movie, the retarded boy, whose name is Felix, killed by a young boy by
the name of Phillip who threatens to kill anyone who tells. While some of the events are not the same,
a majority of the differences are tiny details. For example, in the book Socrates has a photo of
Theresa, his ex girlfriend, hanging in his kitchen by the window. In the picture, Theresa is wearing a
red dress but in the movie she is in a white dress. The book also tells the reader that Socrates spent
twenty seven years in prison and was released eight years ago; in the movie; he only served eighteen
years and had only been out for ten months. These are just some of the differences between the book
and the movie.

The First Sex Offender Register Law
United States
California enacted the first sex offender register law in 1944. However, sex offender registers in the
United States did not become widespread until the 1990s. The Jacob Wetterling Act 1994 was named
after 11 year old Jacob Wetterling who was abducted and to this day has never been found. The Jacob
Wetterling Act implemented the first nation wide sex offender register. Originally, the concept of a sex
offender register was intended to for use solely by law enforcement; it was not an intention for the sex
offender register to be public. However in 1996, Megan s Law was added to the Wetterling Crimes
Against Children and Sexually Violent Offender Registration Act 1994 and made it a requirement for
the information on sex offender registers to be accessible by the public. Megan s Law was enacted as a
result of a heinous crime where 7 year old Megan Kanka was raped and murdered by her neighbour,
who had two previous convictions for sexually assaulting young girls. In 2006, Congress passed the
Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act. This Act required states to enact stricter registration
requirements, including an increase in the penalty for not registering and more frequent verification of
sex offenders locations. Since 2006 public access to sex offender registers has been accessible on the
Internet in most states. On these websites you can search for an offender by name or location, and find
information such as their photo, convictions, address,

Vernon Tull Character Traits
Vernon Tull is a fairly wealthy countryman who is friends with the Bundrens, often hiring the older
boys to do odd jobs for him. He is characterized as a helpful, kind man. Some characters think Tull is
very benevolent, always offering help to the family and assisting them whenever they are in trouble, or
in a state of distress. The family, however, is not always appreciative, as sometimes the family refuses
to acknowledge their need for succor. Tull knows the family really does need the assistance, and does
not let the family s brusqueness get in the way of his facilitation. Tull is important in the novel
because of Tull s caring nature towards the Bundren children and his revelation of the novel s themes.

When Tull and Cora are talking about the incident at the river, and how Cash almost drowned, Cora
says the log was brought thereby God s will as punishment for Anse s lack of fathering ability. The
reader, through Tull, can see Cora s hypocritical nature, as Cora repeats that God is the only one that
can judge people yet is constantly criticizing the Bundrens throughout the novel (Faulkner). Tull, too,
is hypocritical, because he uses religion to pass judgment on Anse. When Vardaman comes to Tull and
describes a relationship between Addie and a fish, Tull believes this is nonsense, and blames Anse,
like Cora, for being an incompetent father (Faulkner). In addition to Cora s characterization, the reader
is better able to understand Jewel s nature because of Tull s narrations. When Tull follows the family
to the river, potentially to help them cross the dangerous waters, Jewel is furious with the Tull s offer
to help. This shows Jewel s independence as a strong individual, and foreshadows a time later in the
novel where Jewel will again show his independence. This foreshadowing comes to fulfillment when
Jewel absconds in order to avoid the sale of his beloved horse. Nevertheless, Jewel does trade his
horse for a team of mules and eventually returns to continue the journey to Jefferson

What Was The Monroe Doctrine
The Monroe Doctrine was a United States policy of opposing European colonialism in the Americas
beginning in 1823. It stated that further efforts by European nations to take control of any independent
state in North or South America would be viewed as the manifestation of an unfriendly disposition
toward the United States . The Doctrine was issued on December 2, 1823 at a time when nearly all
Latin American colonies of Spain and Portugal had achieved or were at the point of gaining
independence from the Portuguese and Spanish Empires. By the end of the 19th century, Monroe s
declaration was seen as a defining moment in the foreign policy of the United States and one of its
longest standing tenets. It would be invoked by many U.S. statesmen and several U.S. presidents,
including Ulysses S. Grant, Theodore Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, and Ronald Reagan. Roosevelt
gave much thought while in office to the consideration of the Monroe Doctrine of 1823. He added the
Roosevelt Corollary to the Monroe Doctrine in 1904, asserting that the U.S might intervene in the

Just like any other country, there are many things to know about it including: the location and
topography, climate, government, industrial and agricultural, religion, typical food and shelter, and
also their education. Although there are many more, those are the main and more obvious things to

made of a group of islands and is actually eighty five percent mountains. It s total area is about

Persuasive Essay On Foster Care
60 percent of kids who age out of foster care are dead, homeless, or in jail within a year. There needs
to be more focus on the foster care system and child homelessness. Children should not be living on
the streets, they need a home and a loving family so that they can grow up and live a stable,
independent life.
Unfortunately, there will always be kids who get abused and neglected, and there will always be
people who live in poverty, but this issue can be improved. First, we need more educational training
for foster parents, as well as educating the public about the foster care system. There needs to be more
funding for foster care so that children have an opportunity to have an education, and foster parents
have the right resources for their foster children. That is where this charity comes in, The Alliance for
Children s Rights.
Alliance for Children s Rights seeks out to help the impoverished, neglected, and abused children
living in the United States. They help with free legal services, safe homes, and education and training
for foster children and foster parents. According to the Alliance for Children s Rights, there vision is A
world in which all children have safe, permanent families with the support they need to thrive. They
focus on three main areas; free legal services and advocacy for children in foster care, training and
education for those who work in the foster care system, and a system wide reform to change policies
to improve children s lives. The alliance works with a staff of Pro Bono attorneys to advocate for these
children. Pro Bono is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing justice for the disadvantaged.
The Alliance for Children s Rights and Pro Bono work together to promote policy reforms such as
expedite adoptions, secure medical coverage and therapy for children, support children faced with
trauma and disability, and assist young adults in becoming productive and self reliant adults.
In the last year alone this organization has finalized nearly 500 adoptions. According to Pro Bono s

result, they ascertained the frog was not Pete. Everett and Odysseus were both determined towards
their own goals and did not give up. Only instruct me goddess if you will how if possible can I pass

Smoking Facts
Smoking in today s world is much different then what it used to be. The thoughts of smoking have
changed from good to bad. Many people believe that smoking is beneficial for their everyday lives
while others want nothing to do with it. In this paper I will be discussing the: the history of smoking,
the advantages/benefits of smoking, the disadvantages/risks of smoking, the components of cigarettes,
and the regulations regarding the production and sale of cigarettes. Tobacco is a plant that grows
natively in North and South America. It is in the same family as the potato, pepper and the poisonous
nightshade, a very deadly plant (Randall, 1999, p. 1). American Indians used tobacco in many

there are any advantages of smoking. The tobacco plant has more to offer then just a certain death.
Tobacco may provide a different relief or prevention for some diseases in certain individuals. The
most recognized health benefit of smoking is its ability to seemingly improve symptoms of mental
illness, including anxiety and schizophrenia. People with these mental illnesses use smoking as a self
medicating kind of method. Several academic sources confirm that the risk of Parkinson s disease and
Alzheimer s disease is unexpectedly superior in non smokers than in smokers. The University of
Melbourne established that tobacco itself is a strong appetite suppressant and many were using it to
self treat compulsive overeating disorders and obesity. Cigarette smoking has also been linked to a
decrease in risk of certain inflammatory disorders, since nicotine itself appears to be an anti
inflammatory agent (Russo, 2011, p.1). Because of tobacco smoke being anti inflammatory some
beneficial effects come to children who are exposed to secondhand smoke. Sweden observed two

The Tales Of Bath s Tale
The Canterbury Tales provides an array of tales, specifically two tales in which one better provides the
most meaning and delight compared to the other. The Wife of Bath s Prologue and Tale represents the
view and desires of women during that time period. The Pardoner s Prologue and Tale describes the
type of person the Pardoner is along with how money can be evil. In The Canterbury Tales, The
Pardoner s Tale , provides the most moral meaning compared to The Wife of Bath s Tale by stating
that greed can manipulate people into plotting unspeakable actions unto each other. In the prologue of
The Pardoner s Tale , he describes himself and he is also states that he is a preacher who is only after
money. He tells his audience that, By this guade have I wonne, yeer by yeer, A hundred mark, sith I
was pardoner (lines 101 02). A preacher is supposed to have concern for the ones who have committed
sins. The preacer is there to listen to the people and repent them. He on the other does not care about
the sins individuals have committed because he is after their money only. Helping the sinned
individuals does not motivate him: money does. He even goes as far saying he does not care where his
money and other beloved items come from, even if it meant somebody died of starvation. This is

The Effect of Spanish Colonization on California Indians
This paper will discuss the impact Spanish colonization and Mexican control had on the indigenous
Indian population in California between 1769 and 1848. As well as discussing the historical origins,
social organizations, material conditions, and world view of the California Indians prior to 1769, this
paper will explain the impact of New Spain s Mission System on the Alta California Indian population
between 1769 to 1821 and the response of its system by the Indians.
Before the Americans and the Spanish there were many indigenous Indian tribes living and thriving
with structure and culture in California. The Paleo Indians were the first people who entered and

Anthropologist Lowell J. Bean has described the California Indians as non political, ethnic
nationalities. Tribes consisted of triblets , with each triblet including a group of neighboring villages
ranging from hundreds to several thousands individuals. Social classes almost were non existent,
except in the northwest where personal wealth was a common practice.
The history of the California Indians differ from any other ethnic group who came to the Americas in
the last few centuries as immigrants. Indians who came to North America and eventually traveled
south to California lived in a land plenty of natural resources and their material technology reflected
what was necessary to meet their basic needs. They did what was necessary to survive, nothing more,
nothing less. They lived in harmony with their environment with a cultural lifestyle that was more a
reflection of numbers and using the most out of everything. After 1769, things began to change.
Starting in 1500, a new world capitalist system was emerging in Europe. It was a start of a new age, an
age of discovery. Spain was looking for the Northwest Passage, a route linking Europe to Asia through
North America by sea. Every country was profit and trade driven and along with this new age
discovery was a new capitalist system called Mercantilism, which is a system based upon a state to

The Pros And Cons Of Coffee
Coffee is one of the most popular beverages in the world and therefore is a popular commodity. More
than 2.25 billion cups of coffee are consumed every day. Over 90% of coffee is produced in
developing countries, and millions of small producers income comes from growing coffee. Coffee is
produced and exported mostly from South American countries, while mainly industrialized countries
are the ones importing the most coffee. Worldwide, 25 million small producers rely on coffee for a
living, and in Brazil, over 5 million people are employed by the commodity. Brazil is the top country
in exporting coffee and is where almost a third of the whole world s production of coffee is. Coffee is
a more labor intensive work culture than other commodities like sugar cane or cattle because it is not
automated work and requires attention.
It is a major export commodity and was the top agricultural export for 12 countries in 2004. It was the
second most valuable commodity exported by developing countries from 1970 to 2000. World coffee
production predicted for 2017/18 is 159 million bags which is the same as the last year because lower
output in Brazil is offset by higher production in Vietnam, Mexico, and Indonesia and slight increases
in other countries. World exports of green coffee are expected to stay steady with 111 million bags.
Global consumption is estimated to be a record 158 million bags so ending inventories are expected to
decrease to 34 million bags after being higher the previous 5 years. The countries that exported the
highest dollar value worth of coffee during the year 2016 are Brazil, Vietnam, Columbia, Germany,
Switzerland, Italy, and Indonesia. Brazil accounted for 15.9% of total coffee exports, which was 5.2
billion dollars. Brazil s Arabica output is forecast to drop 5.1 million bags to 40.5 million. Coffee trees
in top growing regions in Brazil, Southern Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo, have shown excellent
development and growers have intensified crop management, which are some of the reasons why
Brazil produces so much and exports coffee. There is also a lot of rainfall which has supported
development. Vietnam exported 4.7 billion dollars which was 10.5% of total world exports. Vietnam s

Jean Pierre Corteggiani From The French Institute Of...
Jean Pierre Corteggiani from the French Institute of Oriental Archeology states that the Nile is
therefore life itself to Egypt. He said that the eastern part of the desert of Sahara would be nothing
without the water supplied by the Nile river. Water was life at the time of the ancient Egyptian
civilization. The source of life of this river comes from the mountains of Ethiopia, 2,000 kilometers
from the Delta. However, between the months of June to September when is storm season, the Nile
river overflows becoming a sea converting nearby cities into islands. Therefore, Egyptians tried to
keep a record of the Nile s first signs of overflow by building Nilometers to measure increases in the
water level. It took 10 years to control the annual overflowing. A thought of that time was that gods
spread blessings all over the river, since the banks of this river gave the pass to agriculture. As new
techniques were developed, so the ancient Egyptian civilization production increased as well.
Nonetheless, the Nile river became the natural route for traders. On the golden age of ancient
Egyptians, pharaohs ruled over those lands. Pharaohs were seen as a god. Touching a pharaoh could
have been punished with the death, since they were sacred. Under their commands, gigantic pyramids
were constructed. However, the logic of the edification of those pyramids and their builders are still a
mystery. All that is known is that the construction of the mausoleum required high technical

Symptoms Of Hemophilia

severe side effects, while others do not. Genetic disorders affect people in that they affect sometimes
many people, they can shorten one s life expectancy, and it alters a person s body and possibly their
physical appearance. One genetic disorder that is more common, but still widely unknown, is

hemophilia is excessive bleeding. Bleeding is external and internal. According to the National Heart,
Lung, and Blood Institute of the Institute of Health, Signs of external bleeding may include: bleeding
in the mouth from a cut or bite or from cutting or losing a tooth; nosebleeds for no obvious reason;
heavy bleeding from a minor cut; bleeding from a cut that resumes after stopping for a short time .
They also say, Signs of internal bleeding may include: blood in the urine (from bleeding in the kidneys

bleeding into the large muscles of the body . Another thing this disease does to the body is it causes
bleeding in the joints. This is another form of internal bleeding. Some joints included are the knees
and elbows. The process of bleeding in the joints goes as follows; the joints are tight, but with no pain
or visible signs of bleeding. Then, the joint becomes swollen, hot to the touch, and it is painful to
bend. Bleeding and swelling both continue. Movement in the joint becomes temporarily lost. The pain
can be severe. If this is not treated quickly, then the joint may be damaged. More internal bleeding
includes bleeding in the brain. This is, as imagined, a very serious complication. It can

Milankovitch Mechanisms Of The Pleistocene
The Pleistocene Epoch is usually recorded as the geological time period that commenced ~1.8 million
years ago and lasted until ~11,700 years ago (Zimmermann, 2013). The Pleistocene Epoch
experienced an escalation towards global climatic cooling (Sytsma, 2011), with series of glacial and
interglacial periods in which large areas of the Northern and Southern Hemisphere were under the
cover of thick ice sheets. At first, many scientists thought that there were about 4 major ice ages in this
Epoch. However, as proxy data improved, and scientists were able to use deep ocean δ18O isotope
records to review historic temperatures, they have calculated that there have not just been these 4 ice
ages, but dozens (Battersby, 2010); some records suggests ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From both Figure 2 and Figure 3, it can be seen that the glaciations occur at frequent and predictable
frequencies, often coinciding with the Milankovitch Mechanisms. The periods when global
temperatures began to rise causing interglacials, occurred when the precessions of equinoxes were at a
shallow tilt and the orbit of the Earth around the sun was more circular. The combination of these
factors permitted the summer solstice to have increasing effect on the ice sheets, increasing until a
threshold was reached whereby the ice caps melted during summer. Curiously however, from Figure 4
(below), it can be seen from the analysis of ice cores that at the start of the Pleistocene, from about 1.8
till 0.8 million years (Nisancioglu, 2009), ice volumes seemed to be dominated by 41,000 year
amplitude cycles, mainly in line with orbital Obliquity and Precession. However, in the late
Pleistocene, between approximately 0.8 till 0 million years (Nisancioglu, 2009), the ice volumes were
dominated by large 100,000 year cycles, as well as larger amplitude of these glacial oscillations,
implying that there was a growth in larger ice sheets (Nisancioglu, 2009). The exact reason for the
change in response to Milankovitch Mechanisms is not entirely known to scientists, however, many
predict that as the ice sheets grew from 1.8 0.8 million years, eventually, the summer ice ablation
which came about from insolation changes due to

Human Differences Between Humans And Humans
research into the minds of dogs and humans has brought to light the similarities between the human
and canine brains. Examples include having a theory of mind, sentience, the possession of mirror
neurons, and the ability to generate emotions and respond emotionally. The origin of these similarities
have yet to be explained. One theory states that the similarities could have developed in both humans
and dogs, and then strengthened when dogs were domesticated and perfected their social functions in
order to adapt to a human dominated environment. Another theory is that pack behaviour in dogs is
similar enough to human social behaviour that dogs developed independently from humans, then
became domesticated because their behavior already aligned with that of with early humans. Some
evidence of that is the fact that humans and canines have occupied the same geographical regions for
hundreds of thousands of years. Our best estimate of dogs became domesticated is somewhere
between 14,700 and 36,000 years ago (Liane, Interdisciplinary investigations of the late glacial double
burial from Bonn Oberkassel). This paper will explore why humans and dogs started to live together,
whether humans and dogs developed their social cognitive abilities in together or separately, and when
dogs became cognitively distinct from wolves. For the vast majority of our existence humans have

Due to the financial crisis, FW s assets were devalued and were transferred to its parent company.
Assuming that FW does not have enough resources to pay WFJ for the damages, Samuel (WFJ s

amount that it can claim from the FW or the group. Therefore, the bigger issue is whether WFJ can

How Did John Calvin s Impact On Christianity
John Calvin made an extremely large and powerful impact on Christianity as a whole, and that impact
can still be seen today. Calvin was born in a small town in the country in France, but eventually

most shaping events of the time, the Protestant Reformation. At first, he had studied Protestantism due
to his father being a priest, but he became the possible most important people of the second part of the

there were to be no bishops, that all ministers were equal, that there would be no hierarchy of people

were to be recognized by the church, and that normal people could be elected to help with the church,

Abstract: During this experiment,
Introduction:
A cell organelle is a membrane bound compartment inside all eukaryotic cells that function in a
variety of important cellular processes. Organelles include the nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum, golgi
apparatus, and the mitochondria. It is important to know information about organelles because they
provide understanding of how the body functions everyday. In this experiment, cells are broken up and
the cellular components are separated on the basis of size, mass, and density using a variety of
centrifugation techniques (Lodish). Cell components of different densities, cell fractions, are isolated
and analyzed to find the organelle s function within the cell.
In this experiment, succinate dehydrogenase is an enzyme marker for mitochondria and an important
component for the citric acid cycle. Succinate dehydrogenase can reduce the dye DCIPIP
(dichlorophenol indophenol), and succinate s oxidation to furmate requires an active succinate
dehydrogenase, which is in the inner membrane. In the mitochondria, the citric acid cycle takes place
and the enzyme succinate dehydrogenase lowers the activation energy for the reaction to allow for the
oxidation of succinate to fumarate (easternct.edu).
Differential centrifugation is a process that

We estimate with a 95% certainty that the mean will be included in a 112 sample size. As well,
management requested a sales mean estimate for the No Gulf view category with an allowed standard
error of $15,000. We estimate with 95% certainty that the No Gulf view condominiums will have a
mean with in 32 samples. Finally, management has added two listing, one for a Gulf View at $589,000
and a No Gulf View at $285,000. Using our correlation coefficients, we notice that there is a very
close correlation between listing price and selling price, representedby .998 for Gulf views and .993
No Gulf Views. In addition if we create a ratio of mean listing price to sale price. For example, we use
the sale price and divide it by the list price, 515.8 / $537.08 = .96 and multiply this result by 100 to get
a percentage of 96%.Therefore we calculate that the sale price will be $565,440 for a Gulf View

Eukaryotic Cells
Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic
There are two basic types of cells, prokaryotic cells and eukaryotic cells. The main difference between
eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells is that eukaryotic cells have a nucleus. The nucleus is where cells
store their DNA, which is the genetic material. The nucleus is surrounded by a membrane. Prokaryotic
cells do not have a nucleus. Instead, their DNA floats around inside the cell. Organisms with
prokaryotic cells are called prokaryotes. All prokaryotes are single celled (unicellular) organisms.
Bacteria and Archaea are the only prokaryotes. Organisms with eukaryotic cells are called eukaryotes.
Animals, plants, fungi, and protists are eukaryotes. All multicellular organisms are eukaryotes.
Eukaryotes may also be single celled.

Some eukaryotic species have just a few chromosomes, others have close to 100 or more. These
chromosomes are protected within the nucleus. In addition to a nucleus, eukaryotic cells include other
membrane bound structures called organelles. Organelles allow eukaryotic cells to be more
specialized than prokaryotic cells. Pictured below are the organelles of eukaryotic cells (Figure
below), including the mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum, and Golgi apparatus. These will be
discussed in additional concepts.
Organelles of a eukaryotic cell
Eukaryotic cells contain a nucleus and various other special compartments surrounded by membranes,
called organelles. The nucleus is where the DNA (chromatin) is stored. Organelles give eukaryotic
cells more functions than prokaryotic cells.
Prokaryotic Cells
Prokaryotic cells (Figure below) are usually smaller and simpler than eukaryotic cells. They do not
have a nucleus or other membrane bound organelles. In prokaryotic cells, the DNA, or genetic
material, forms a single large circle that coils up on itself. The DNA is located in the main part of the

Taking a Look at the Formalist Theory
The formalist approach of the four main types of literary criticisms, closely follow the idea of close
reading and emphasis on the text itself. Formalists invest time on the work of the author to determine
the meaning. They focus on structure, imagery, symbols, setting, and themes, completely disregarding
all other types of ideologies. In the text, To Build a Fire, by Jack London, these literary elements flood
the story, allowing it to be seen from a different perspective and giving it a whole new meaning. The
formalist approach will make the reader take into account all the different factors such as: characters,
situational irony, similes, and the use of symbolic vocabulary in relationship to tension and ambiguity.
All of these literary elements are not to be looked at individually, but by being put together it will
accurately describe the reader s experience. London s use of all the various elements such as: imagery,
characters, symbols, setting, and theme allows the reader to believe that there is a different meaning
behind the authors work. These literary elements may have also been used in numerous locations in
his text to allow us to uncover these hidden messages and meanings. As London wrote, To Build a Fire
, he didn t want just a simple story about a man on a journey through the Yukon, but a journey with
twists. He wanted to place a deeper meaning behind some items or objects that he used but didn t
mention in great detail. Formalists tend to pay close

Academic Achievement Of Graduate Education
Many undergraduate nursing programs aim to fulfill many pathways into the nursing career while
inspiring early achievement of graduate education. The undergraduate programs share multiple
commonalities, the differences are visible in the structure of the courses structure and the contents
(Billings Halstead, 2016, p. 135). The first curriculum model of training created in the late nineteenth
and early to mid twentieth centuries was the Diploma programs. At first the program was associated
with hospitals and higher educational institutions, with the goal of training nurses in clinical skills to
deliver patient care in many health care environment over a period of three years. The program mainly
consisted of general education courses in the biological and social sciences which was facilitated
through association with a local college or university. Students were able to transfer their credits to a
baccalaureate degree in nursing to further their education. The continuing progress of undergraduate
program into colleges and universities has cause the decrease in diploma schools and has contributed
to 10% of nursing programs educating students in the United States. The existence of ASN or
associate degree in nursing (ADN) programs were initiated in 1952 by Mildred Montag in reaction to
nursing shortages and to produce nurses in two years to provide care to patients with guidance of
professional nurse in acute care environment (Billings Halstead, 2016, p.135).

Technology And Its Effect On Human Interaction
Albert Einstein once exclaimed, I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. His
brilliance shows in today s era since now, technology predominates ordinary functions and paralyzes
the ability for humans to ponder and generate originality. Not one individual is thus required to
rigorously search for information or create ideas that are not simply available on the world web. This
excessive attachment to the devices that deliver access to such a broad spectrum of information is
evidently destroying human potential to excel within the realms of communication and etc.
Smartphones, in particular, spark significant concern since they are portable electronic devices with
the functionality of numerous gadgets combined. Researchers are concerned about the tendency of
people to merely replace experiences in reality with those of the virtual world within their phones.
This matter holds relevance within today s society since a notable percentage of humans own
smartphones and the activities which they participate in with the device stretches from photography to
games and to mere pastime rituals. Although technology allows innovation and is dire to numerous
practices that benefit humanity; excessive dependence can cripple society in ways that include
communicative disability and mental disorders that can thrive in effect to such an attachment.
Technological breakthroughs have allowed humanity to thrive in methods that prior generations
believed impossible. The

Response To Brittany Hill s Job Process Costing System
In response to Brittany Hill s thread on Job Process Costing Systems, I can easily say that she was
very articulate in her passage. The thread is well detailed and presented in a manner that is not
confusing to the reader. To begin with, it is important that she starts out by highlighting the differences
between the two. For most people, costing systems can mean almost the same but as described by
Cohen Kaimenaki (2011), different situations will allow specific systems to be utilized. This is exactly
what Hill has been able to communicate. It was wise to talk about the two systems separately, with
each having its own paragraph. The importance of this is emphasized through the examples, which
you also managed to bring out in a clear and

Issues Of School Security In The United States
School security School security is an important issue that you have to pay attention on, because we
spend most of the time at school from early in the morning until late afternoon, so we should be aware
of what can happen in our school. According to the national center for education statistics, from July
1, 2012 through June 30, 2013, there were a total of 53 school associated violent deaths in elementary
and secondary schools in the United States. Students have to face all these problems, lots of them were
killed. Bullying can be the leading cause of violence, when the students get bullied, they will want to
fight back and using guns might be one of the way that they can think of. Strengthen gun laws can
help in this problem, because if

Virtual Survivor Of The Holocaust
Museums related to the Holocaust are seen by some to be a necessary evil. How can we comprehend
the catastrophe that is the death of eleven million? However, even if we might not be able to
understand their suffering, we need to understand the history of the Holocaust. For years, Holocaust
museums have relied on art, exhibits, and testimony to convey the story of the Holocaust. Yet as we
progress further into the twenty first century, all the survivors will pass, and the means of conveying
must change. For instance, the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center have plans to put in
place a VR (virtual reality) exhibit that lets you ask questions to a virtual survivor of the Holocaust.
While this innovational use of VR is impressive,

Because I Could Not Stop For Death Housman Analysis
Death is quite scary thought isn t it? After all, it is a subject many people don t like to talk about. We
all fear death in some ways, such as losing a loved one, not knowing if they re still happy and even not
knowing what might come after death. Regardless of how we all feel on such a sad matter, it is truly
inevitable and we must all accept it. If we begin to look at death in a more beautiful way and not so
sinister, we can have a better understanding. In the two poems, Because I Could Not Stop For Death
by Emily Dickinson s and To An Athlete Dying Young by A.E. Housman while the theme differs, they
are much alike in some ways. Emily Dickinson s poem, Because I Could Not Stop For Death gives me
a sense of peace when it comes to death. The theme portrays death as a easy, peaceful ride when one
passes away. The overall metaphor here is comparing death to a carriage ride. She describes death as a
calm person, and she seemed to trust him as he took her through the town to her death, It felt like she
was getting one last ride to say goodbye and let go. The line We slowly drive He knew no haste gives

Housman is very sentimental and really touches me. The theme throughout the poem is clear, that an
athlete well known throughout a seemingly small town passed out. Any one that is a athlete will make
a connection with this poem, because I certainly did. The line And silence no worse than cheers makes
me feel a connection to a person i don t even know, I can imagine the crowd cheering on the person
and how quiet it must be the day he or she dies. Another line from the poem says it withers quicker
than the rose this is metaphor for how the cheerfulness of the town withered away after such a great
loss. The overall theme is very heartbreaking, the complete opposite of how I felt reading Emily
Dickinson s poem. Reading this I really felt like I was a part of the town that lost such a young

Clare Of Assisi Analysis
Good morning Mr Campbell and students. Today I will be talking about Clare of Assisi, analysing
how she was a revolutionary and radical reformer of the Church. Chiara Offreduccio, known now as
Clare of Assisi , was born July 16, 1194. Raised into a wealthy family, Clare was due to marry a
wealthy man when her eyes were drawn to the attention of Francis of Assisi who was preaching the
message of the one true God.Claire started a small group of nuns dedicating themselves to god by
eating no meat, wearing no shoes and living in very poor conditions. This resulted in the formation of
The Poor Clares (sometimes referred to as Poor Ladies).
During the time of Clare of Assisi, the Church was faced with corruption and barbarian attacks. But a
main point of crisis was poverty. During the 13th century there was a growing population of poor
people and the church was unsure about what their responsibilities were. Agatha Clark states that,
Catholic monastic factions felt that poverty was a holy way of life and that feeding the poor worked
against the will of God. Canonists believed that the Church should help the poor because that is what

Gathering followers was her main priority. She relied on St Francis to gather followers from a distance
and she taught the women of Assisi that God is all you need to survive. Attempting to survive on
nothing (no meat, no shoes, no hair and poor living conditions) was a challenge. Clare was living
without extravagant clothes and decent meals and all the other basic essentials of normal living. Clare
believed that God was all you needed to survive. Finally another challenge St Clare faced was severe
illness to which she refused to succumb, finding joy in serving the Lord instead. In the face of all of
the challenges in her lifetime St Clare of Assisi was quoted as saying, They say that we are too poor,
but can a heart which possesses the infinite God be truly called

Fire Prevetion Essay Firefighters have been seting small parts of forests on fire that they can controll
in order to reduce the risk of bigger fires in the future. THis seems resonable, it causes a little harm
however if they do this it can stop more harm from happening. There are some down sides but the
prize outways the price. This is a good thing to do. In order to reduce the risk of wildfires it is
appropeat to burn certain parts of a forest in order to remove some of the flamable materials that can

Reduces hazardous fuels, protecting human communities from extreme fires;

Poor Living and Working Conditions as the Reason for Bolsheviks Seizure of Power in 1917 Around eighty percent of Russia s population were peasants who lived in communities. Living and working conditions for most peasants were dreadful, famine and starvation were common. People worked for long hours, their wages were low and rent was high. In factory towns people lived in overcrowded slums and there were very few sanitary facilities. The war worsened Russian conditions, food and fuel shortages in the town led to protests and strikes, the agricultural system crumbled due to lack of workers, the railway system began to collapse, it was increasingly difficult to get food and fuel supplies to the city. Bad leadership in the front and lack of equipment and clothing led to mutinies in the army. The war speeded up the process of change people had soon had enough with the Tsar and of what they thought was a pointless war. Most people wanted a short victorious war, but there was a shortage of rifles and other munitions equipment, military leadership was bad. In cities like Petrograd many strikes and demonstrations took place. By 1917, the army was no longer supporting the Tsar. He now had no effective means of suppressing the revolt, so this led to the Tsar s abdication. Standard Definition Algorithm For A Wired Network Part 1: Question 1 Standard Definition Algorithm Suggested Use WEP A wireless protocol that is intended to deliver the privacy comparable to that of a wired network. RC4 No longer used unless it is for lessons in hacking. Big security flaws and easy to hack. WPA This protocol offers more data encryption than WEP and also offers user authentication. RC4 with TKIP This is used with older devices. But these may still need an update through firmware so they will be compliant. WPA2 This protocol offers CCMP (Counter Cipher Mode with Block Chaining Message Authentication Code Protocol) as the replacement of TKIP. AES Only used in newer devices. (Dulaney Easttom, 2014) (How To Geek, n.d.) Question 2 Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP) is an encryption protocol that is included in the IEEE 802.11i standard for wireless LAN networks. It helps provide more encryption security than Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP). TKIP uses its algorithms to protect WEP s security flaws and allows the users of older devices to upgrade without replacing any hardware. These algorithms are additional code at the beginning and end to capture and modify WEP. TKIP uses RC4 as its foundation but it also includes four more algorithms to increase strength: cryptographic message integrity check, initialization vector sequencing mechanism, per packet key mixing function, and re keying mechanism. • 9. Challenges And Challenges Of A Transition During Change Trying to motivate and inspire people to make change can be difficult. Many people are stuck in their comfort zone and don t like making change. There are many factors and obstacles that contribute to this issue, but being aware of these issues and knowing how to address them from the beginning will make for a smoother transition. Kotter (2007) explains eight categories that many companies, organizations, or groups fail at when trying to make and implement changes. In order for your transition during change to be the most successful, you must address each step along the way or people will not be on board with you. The eight stages include: establish a sense of urgency, form a powerful guiding coalition, create a vision, communicate the vision, empower others to act on the vision, plan for and create short term wins, consolidate improvements and produce more change, and institutionalize new approaches. If your change is failing, addressing these eight areas will make your plan more successful. Knowing each step will help leaders from making common mistakes, avoiding unnecessary roadblocks along the way (Kotter 2007). The first step that causes many people to fail is not establishing a great sense of urgency. One must show people statistics, the company s position, or funds, in a dramatic way, in order for people to realize that something must be done quickly. You must motivate them to believe there is a problem and that change is needed. Many people fail in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 14. Always Outnumbered, Always Outgunned Essay In my opinion, a book is always a better choice for entertainment then a movie. Usually, when a book is adapted into a movie; the movie always seems to omit scenes and details mentioned in the book. This is the same with Walter Mosley s Always Outnumbered, Always Outgunned; a novel that tells a story surrounding a man named Socrates Fortlow. However, while the movie version of Always Outnumbered, Always Outgunned follows the same concept as the book there are substantial differences in terms of events, details, and chronological order. The first major difference between the movie and the book is how quickly the movie reveals some of the flaws of the main character Socrates Fortlow. In the movie, the retarded boy, whose name is Felix, killed by a young boy by the name of Phillip who threatens to kill anyone who tells. While some of the events are not the same, a majority of the differences are tiny details. For example, in the book Socrates has a photo of Theresa, his ex girlfriend, hanging in his kitchen by the window. In the picture, Theresa is wearing a red dress but in the movie she is in a white dress. The book also tells the reader that Socrates spent twenty seven years in prison and was released eight years ago; in the movie; he only served eighteen years and had only been out for ten months. • 16. The First Sex Offender Register Law United States California enacted the first sex offender register law in 1944. However, sex offender registers in the United States did not become widespread until the 1990s. The Jacob Wetterling Act 1994 was named after 11 year old Jacob Wetterling who was abducted and to this day has never been found. The Jacob Wetterling Act implemented the first nation wide sex offender register. Originally, the concept of a sex offender register was intended to for use solely by law enforcement; it was not an intention for the sex offender register to be public. However in 1996, Megan s Law was added to the Wetterling Crimes Against Children and Sexually Violent Offender Registration Act 1994 and made it a requirement for the information on sex offender registers to be accessible by the public. Megan s Law was enacted as a result of a heinous crime where 7 year old Megan Kanka was raped and murdered by her neighbour, who had two previous convictions for sexually assaulting young girls. In 2006, Congress passed the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act. This Act required states to enact stricter registration requirements, including an increase in the penalty for not registering and more frequent verification of sex offenders locations. Since 2006 public access to sex offender registers has been accessible on the Internet in most states. Some characters think Tull is very benevolent, always offering help to the family and assisting them whenever they are in trouble, or in a state of distress. The family, however, is not always appreciative, as sometimes the family refuses to acknowledge their need for succor. Tull knows the family really does need the assistance, and does not let the family s brusqueness get in the way of his facilitation. Tull is important in the novel because of Tull s caring nature towards the Bundren children and his revelation of the novel s themes. When Tull narrates a section of ... When Tull and Cora are talking about the incident at the river, and how Cash almost drowned, Cora says the log was brought thereby God s will as punishment for Anse s lack of fathering ability. The reader, through Tull, can see Cora s hypocritical nature, as Cora repeats that God is the only one that can judge people yet is constantly criticizing the Bundrens throughout the novel (Faulkner). Tull, too, is hypocritical, because he uses religion to pass judgment on Anse. When Vardaman comes to Tull and describes a relationship between Addie and a fish, Tull believes this is nonsense, and blames Anse, like Cora, for being an incompetent father (Faulkner). In addition to Cora s characterization, the reader is better able to understand Jewel s nature because of Tull s narrations. When Tull follows the family to the river, potentially to help them cross the dangerous waters, Jewel is furious with the Tull s offer to help. This shows Jewel s independence as a strong individual, and foreshadows a time later in the novel where Jewel will again show his independence. This foreshadowing comes to fulfillment when Jewel absconds in order to avoid the sale of his beloved horse. • 18. What Was The Monroe Doctrine The Monroe Doctrine was a United States policy of opposing European colonialism in the Americas beginning in 1823. It stated that further efforts by European nations to take control of any independent state in North or South America would be viewed as the manifestation of an unfriendly disposition toward the United States . The Doctrine was issued on December 2, 1823 at a time when nearly all Latin American colonies of Spain and Portugal had achieved or were at the point of gaining independence from the Portuguese and Spanish Empires. By the end of the 19th century, Monroe s declaration was seen as a defining moment in the foreign policy of the United States and one of its longest standing tenets. It would be invoked by many U.S. statesmen and several U.S. presidents, including Ulysses S. Grant, Theodore Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, and Ronald Reagan. Over 90% of coffee is produced in developing countries, and millions of small producers income comes from growing coffee. Coffee is produced and exported mostly from South American countries, while mainly industrialized countries are the ones importing the most coffee. Worldwide, 25 million small producers rely on coffee for a living, and in Brazil, over 5 million people are employed by the commodity. Brazil is the top country in exporting coffee and is where almost a third of the whole world s production of coffee is. Coffee is a more labor intensive work culture than other commodities like sugar cane or cattle because it is not automated work and requires attention. It is a major export commodity and was the top agricultural export for 12 countries in 2004. It was the second most valuable commodity exported by developing countries from 1970 to 2000. World coffee production predicted for 2017/18 is 159 million bags which is the same as the last year because lower output in Brazil is offset by higher production in Vietnam, Mexico, and Indonesia and slight increases in other countries. World exports of green coffee are expected to stay steady with 111 million bags. Global consumption is estimated to be a record 158 million bags so ending inventories are expected to decrease to 34 million bags after being higher the previous 5 years. • 30. Jean Pierre Corteggiani From The French Institute Of... Jean Pierre Corteggiani from the French Institute of Oriental Archeology states that the Nile is therefore life itself to Egypt. He said that the eastern part of the desert of Sahara would be nothing without the water supplied by the Nile river. Water was life at the time of the ancient Egyptian civilization. The source of life of this river comes from the mountains of Ethiopia, 2,000 kilometers from the Delta. However, between the months of June to September when is storm season, the Nile river overflows becoming a sea converting nearby cities into islands. Therefore, Egyptians tried to keep a record of the Nile s first signs of overflow by building Nilometers to measure increases in the water level. It took 10 years to control the annual overflowing. A thought of that time was that gods spread blessings all over the river, since the banks of this river gave the pass to agriculture. As new techniques were developed, so the ancient Egyptian civilization production increased as well. Nonetheless, the Nile river became the natural route for traders. On the golden age of ancient Egyptians, pharaohs ruled over those lands. Pharaohs were seen as a god. Touching a pharaoh could have been punished with the death, since they were sacred. Milankovitch Mechanisms Of The Pleistocene The Pleistocene Epoch is usually recorded as the geological time period that commenced ~1.8 million years ago and lasted until ~11,700 years ago (Zimmermann, 2013). The Pleistocene Epoch experienced an escalation towards global climatic cooling (Sytsma, 2011), with series of glacial and interglacial periods in which large areas of the Northern and Southern Hemisphere were under the cover of thick ice sheets. At first, many scientists thought that there were about 4 major ice ages in this Epoch. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... From both Figure 2 and Figure 3, it can be seen that the glaciations occur at frequent and predictable frequencies, often coinciding with the Milankovitch Mechanisms. The periods when global temperatures began to rise causing interglacials, occurred when the precessions of equinoxes were at a shallow tilt and the orbit of the Earth around the sun was more circular. The combination of these factors permitted the summer solstice to have increasing effect on the ice sheets, increasing until a threshold was reached whereby the ice caps melted during summer. Curiously however, from Figure 4 (below), it can be seen from the analysis of ice cores that at the start of the Pleistocene, from about 1.8 till 0.8 million years (Nisancioglu, 2009), ice volumes seemed to be dominated by 41,000 year amplitude cycles, mainly in line with orbital Obliquity and Precession. However, in the late Pleistocene, between approximately 0.8 till 0 million years (Nisancioglu, 2009), the ice volumes were dominated by large 100,000 year cycles, as well as larger amplitude of these glacial oscillations, implying that there was a growth in larger ice sheets (Nisancioglu, 2009). Examples include having a theory of mind, sentience, the possession of mirror neurons, and the ability to generate emotions and respond emotionally. The origin of these similarities have yet to be explained. One theory states that the similarities could have developed in both humans and dogs, and then strengthened when dogs were domesticated and perfected their social functions in order to adapt to a human dominated environment. Another theory is that pack behaviour in dogs is similar enough to human social behaviour that dogs developed independently from humans, then became domesticated because their behavior already aligned with that of with early humans. Some evidence of that is the fact that humans and canines have occupied the same geographical regions for hundreds of thousands of years. Our best estimate of dogs became domesticated is somewhere between 14,700 and 36,000 years ago (Liane, Interdisciplinary investigations of the late glacial double burial from Bonn Oberkassel). In Gramaphone and Typewriter Ltd v Stanley [1908], it was held that the business run by the subsidiary was not the holding company s business. In the eyes of the law, FW is a separate entity from its parent company. Therefore, the parent company is not liable for FW s liabilities. However at times, incorporation is used to circumvent the law or hide the true state of affairs from the court.4 Hence, there are exceptions to the doctrine of separate legal entity. • 36. How Did John Calvin s Impact On Christianity John Calvin made an extremely large and powerful impact on Christianity as a whole, and that impact can still be seen today. Calvin was born in a small town in the country in France, but eventually became, and is still regarded as the theologian Martin Luther s successor during one of Christianity s most shaping events of the time, the Protestant Reformation. At first, he had studied Protestantism due to his father being a priest, but he became the possible most important people of the second part of the Reformation. Calvin originally never wanted to become a part of the Reformation, but he had a lasting effect on the years to follow, even despite being persecuted, and threatened with death in the Great Inquisition. He had the goal, like most ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... [3, 2] This officially started the Christian Protestant group and group of churches known as Calvinists and Calvinism. Calvin banned musical instruments from ever entering his churches, even though he liked music, he said that distracted people from the matter in hand. , but singing in congregations was allowed calling it an effective way of spreading the message. [3,1,2] Everything relating to worship came from the Scriptures, a view on the Bible based on the Hebrew Scriptures.[3] In 1541, Calvin created the Ecclesiastical Ordinances, which were things to be viewed the same as one would law. It stated that: there were to be no bishops, that all ministers were equal, that there would be no hierarchy of people and that God is the most powerful, that ministers had to preach, follow and give the sacraments that were to be recognized by the church, and that normal people could be elected to help with the church, and to provide a link between Church and state.[3] Calvin strongly followed God s wishes like drinking no alcoholic beverages, and to say grace before eating a meal, but Calvin wish for evangelical refreshment ... Mapping Organelle Activity By Using Succinate Dehydrogenase Assay Cecilya Barba Lab Partners: Brenda Gutierrez, Marleen Apodaca, Date Conducted: 09/30/14 and 10/07/14 Bio02 Lab 05 Abstract: During this experiment, Introduction: A cell organelle is a membrane bound compartment inside all eukaryotic cells that function in a variety of important cellular processes. Organelles include the nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum, golgi apparatus, and the mitochondria. It is important to know information about organelles because they provide understanding of how the body functions everyday. In this experiment, cells are broken up and the cellular components are separated on the basis of size, mass, and density using a variety of centrifugation techniques (Lodish). Cell components of different densities, cell fractions, are isolated and analyzed to find the organelle s function within the cell. In this experiment, succinate dehydrogenase is an enzyme marker for mitochondria and an important component for the citric acid cycle. Succinate dehydrogenase can reduce the dye DCIPIP (dichlorophenol indophenol), and succinate s oxidation to furmate requires an active succinate dehydrogenase, which is in the inner membrane. In the mitochondria, the citric acid cycle takes place and the enzyme succinate dehydrogenase lowers the activation energy for the reaction to allow for the oxidation of succinate to fumarate (easternct.edu). Differential centrifugation is a process that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Gulf Real Estate Properties Case Gulf Real Estate Properties has gathered information on condominium sales in the gulf coast of Mexico to provide information on the current real estate market. Condominium characteristics are listed along with list price, sale price and days to sell. Condominiums characteristics are classified by Gulf Views and Non Golf Views. We will take the information provided to conduct an analysis that will assist other parties in understanding the real estate market of the Gulf Coast. First, we found that the average (mean) figures for the Gulf View condominiums are: List price $537,080, Sell price $515,800, days to sell 186.65. From these figures and the data provided, we can calculate outliers of the Interquartile range. The Interquartile range is a series of figures taken from data that are clustered to a central figure, the mean (Elizabeth Staple, 2015). The median for the list price is $480,000, the first quartile figure is $331,000 and the third quartile is $666,000. The first and third ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 40. Eukaryotic Cells Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic There are two basic types of cells, prokaryotic cells and eukaryotic cells. The main difference between eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells is that eukaryotic cells have a nucleus. The nucleus is where cells store their DNA, which is the genetic material. The nucleus is surrounded by a membrane. Prokaryotic cells do not have a nucleus. Instead, their DNA floats around inside the cell. Organisms with prokaryotic cells are called prokaryotes. Both prokaryotic and ... • 41. Taking a Look at the Formalist Theory The formalist approach of the four main types of literary criticisms, closely follow the idea of close reading and emphasis on the text itself. Formalists invest time on the work of the author to determine the meaning. They focus on structure, imagery, symbols, setting, and themes, completely disregarding all other types of ideologies. In the text, To Build a Fire, by Jack London, these literary elements flood the story, allowing it to be seen from a different perspective and giving it a whole new meaning. The formalist approach will make the reader take into account all the different factors such as: characters, situational irony, similes, and the use of symbolic vocabulary in relationship to tension and ambiguity. All of these literary elements are not to be looked at individually, but by being put together it will accurately describe the reader s experience. London s use of all the various elements such as: imagery, characters, symbols, setting, and theme allows the reader to believe that there is a different meaning behind the authors work. These literary elements may have also been used in numerous locations in his text to allow us to uncover these hidden messages and meanings. As London wrote, To Build a Fire , he didn t want just a simple story about a man on a journey through the Yukon, but a journey with twists. He wanted to place a deeper meaning behind some items or objects that he used but didn t mention in great detail. Formalists tend to pay close ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The undergraduate programs share multiple commonalities, the differences are visible in the structure of the courses structure and the contents (Billings Halstead, 2016, p. 135). The first curriculum model of training created in the late nineteenth and early to mid twentieth centuries was the Diploma programs. At first the program was associated with hospitals and higher educational institutions, with the goal of training nurses in clinical skills to deliver patient care in many health care environment over a period of three years. The program mainly consisted of general education courses in the biological and social sciences which was facilitated through association with a local college or university. Students were able to transfer their credits to a baccalaureate degree in nursing to further their education. The continuing progress of undergraduate program into colleges and universities has cause the decrease in diploma schools and has contributed to 10% of nursing programs educating students in the United States. The existence of ASN or associate degree in nursing (ADN) programs were initiated in 1952 by Mildred Montag in reaction to nursing shortages and to produce nurses in two years to provide care to patients with guidance of professional nurse in acute care environment (Billings Halstead, 2016, p.135). His brilliance shows in today s era since now, technology predominates ordinary functions and paralyzes the ability for humans to ponder and generate originality. Not one individual is thus required to rigorously search for information or create ideas that are not simply available on the world web. This excessive attachment to the devices that deliver access to such a broad spectrum of information is evidently destroying human potential to excel within the realms of communication and etc. Smartphones, in particular, spark significant concern since they are portable electronic devices with the functionality of numerous gadgets combined. Researchers are concerned about the tendency of people to merely replace experiences in reality with those of the virtual world within their phones. This matter holds relevance within today s society since a notable percentage of humans own smartphones and the activities which they participate in with the device stretches from photography to games and to mere pastime rituals. Although technology allows innovation and is dire to numerous practices that benefit humanity; excessive dependence can cripple society in ways that include communicative disability and mental disorders that can thrive in effect to such an attachment. For most people, costing systems can mean almost the same but as described by Cohen Kaimenaki (2011), different situations will allow specific systems to be utilized. • 48. Because I Could Not Stop For Death Housman Analysis Death is quite scary thought isn t it? After all, it is a subject many people don t like to talk about. We all fear death in some ways, such as losing a loved one, not knowing if they re still happy and even not knowing what might come after death. Regardless of how we all feel on such a sad matter, it is truly inevitable and we must all accept it. If we begin to look at death in a more beautiful way and not so sinister, we can have a better understanding. In the two poems, Because I Could Not Stop For Death by Emily Dickinson s and To An Athlete Dying Young by A.E. Housman while the theme differs, they are much alike in some ways. Emily Dickinson s poem, Because I Could Not Stop For Death gives me a sense of peace when it comes to death. The theme portrays death as a easy, peaceful ride when one passes away. The overall metaphor here is comparing death to a carriage ride. • 49. Clare Of Assisi Analysis Good morning Mr Campbell and students. Today I will be talking about Clare of Assisi, analysing how she was a revolutionary and radical reformer of the Church. Chiara Offreduccio, known now as Clare of Assisi , was born July 16, 1194. Raised into a wealthy family, Clare was due to marry a wealthy man when her eyes were drawn to the attention of Francis of Assisi who was preaching the message of the one true God.Claire started a small group of nuns dedicating themselves to god by eating no meat, wearing no shoes and living in very poor conditions. This resulted in the formation of The Poor Clares (sometimes referred to as Poor Ladies). During the time of Clare of Assisi, the Church was faced with corruption and barbarian attacks. But a main point of crisis was poverty. During the 13th century there was a growing population of poor people and the church was unsure about what their responsibilities were. Agatha Clark states that, Catholic monastic factions felt that poverty was a holy way of life and that feeding the poor worked against the will of God. Canonists believed that the Church should help the poor because that is what Jesus ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Gathering followers was her main priority.
