Importance Of Internship At Central Park And Theater Project
I interned at Gorgeous Entertainment, Inc. from October to December. The company produces special
events represented by Japan Day @ Central Park and theater projects represented by Tony nominated
Pacific Overtures. The small size of the office and the large scale of the projects provided me
opportunities to practice a greater variety of jobs. During my internship, my main tasks were related to
their latest theater project, Prince of Broadway and their upcoming special event, Japan Day @
Central Park. There were also many other administrative tasks.
For Prince of Broadway, I mainly worked for media clipping. I clipped various articles about this
musical revue featuring the acclaimed Broadway musical director, Harold Prince. For online ... Show

To post an advertisement for some stores, I paid cash provided by the company. After each
distribution, I took notes about information like the number distributed at each location, and then I
shared it on Google Sheets. These tasks were repeated after the company decided to extend the
deadline for submissions.
I also made a digital call for artists to be distributed to schools. I edited the Word file from last year to
update it to the version of this year. I basically paraphrased the sentences, changed the dates names,
and replaced the images of the official poster and prize winning works.
I was also assigned a research task for the upcoming Japan Day event. I researched about some
Japanese group of artists and summarized their activities in U.S. and Japan as biographies. They are to
be used for the board of directors to discuss them as candidates to perform at Japan Day.
There was one job involving translation. The company regularly publishes a press release about the
upcoming Japan Day @ Central Park 2018 in both English and Japanese. I translated the Japanese
version into English. It was about the announcement of the special jury of the art contest.
On a regular basis, I managed the files of the art contest submissions. I downloaded the image files
submitted on WuFoo and saved them with an entry number and name. I also uploaded them on the
company s Dropbox account.
I also did media clipping for online call for artists of Japan Day. As I

How Iso Is A System Of International Standards
Key Term and Why You Are Interested in It
ISO is a system of international standards that is serving and supporting many facets of the industry
today. Starting in the manufacturing arena to add standardization to units and measurements as
products move from one country to another in different stages of production, ISO ensures that
dimensions are the same no matter what country the product is manufactured in. This key concept
interested me because I work under ISO 9001:2008 standards daily. Our processes, patient care, and
performance improvements measured by the ISO standards have become ingrained in my organization
s culture.
Explanation of the Key Term
ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is the world s largest developer ... Show more

The newest standards are ISO 26000, which standardizes social responsibility, and ISO/IEC 27001,
which is a developed management system to standardize information security (ISO, n.d.). The most
well known and best selling standard of the ISO governing body is ISO 9000, which was developed in
1987 (ISO, n.d.). ISO 9000 is for quality management standards. Quality management includes
standards that help the organization identify processes that can be developed and employ constant
performance improvement. ISO 9000 has been utilized by many national and international companies
to constantly improve performance and processes, but ISO 9000 usually involves a manufacturing
company.
Major Article Summary
ISO, known for developing standards for many disciplines of business, also developed standards for
healthcare; in 1996, a hospital in Louisiana was the first American hospital to adopt ISO 9001 (Bird,
2001). Prior to this inception by the Louisiana hospital, the reviewed article, published on October
10th, 2001 and titled ISO 9000 guidelines for the health care sector, revealed that a group of
healthcare officials dubbed the International Workshop Agreement (IWA) developed the first quality
management system for healthcare titled Quality Management Systems Guidelines for Process
Improvements, which used many standards and processes from the well known ISO 9000 standards
(Bird, 2001). The guidelines developed by the IWA

Social Forces in to Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
Everyone in the world has their own identity; have you ever thought about what your identity is?
Identity plays a big role in the world especially in America where not all identities are good. People
might identify a wealthy person as snotty rich or a poor person as defective or maybe someone calls a
man a woman when they re really a man. Or maybe you call someone a terrorist just because they are
middle eastern. The list goes on and on and thats why social forces influence identities and can
become dangerous. Gender, race, and social class are all forms of social forces. Race is everywhere in
the world. But people need to understand that race isn t color. Anyone can have color; people can be a
Hispanic and have very dark skin and still be referred to as a black person. Race is culture and culture
is everywhere. It disgusting how we can t get along with each other and we re in the 21st century. In
the race forum at John Hersey High school (Janu, Bruce) it was said that there s still a lot of racism
going on in the world to this date. He gave the example of many lynchings in Texas. In the book To
Kill A Mockingbird Scouts dad is called a nigger lover (Lee Chapter 9) and the only reason he is
called a nigger lover is because he is a lawyer and he helps anyone out when they are in trouble.
Another example in the To Any Would Be Terrorists (Nye n.p) article says that when the word terrorist
is said, people automatically think its referring to the middle east or

Mental State Of A Social Environment
The Child that Lives from Within
The social sciences often question if psychopathic behaviour is innate or a product of a social
environment. In the movie Psycho by Alfred Hitchcock, Norman Bates downfall proposes how crucial
a healthy childhood is to the mental state of a developing child. Contrary to nature focused beliefs, not
all human behaviour comes from an individual s genetic makeup, but rather through experiences that
become ingrained in the mind like scripture (Cooke 25). Theories proposed by Sigmund Freud and
other research comparing the relation between psychopathy and environment can help to rationalize
the reasons behind Norman Bates unsuccessful childhood, the impact of his parent child relationship
on his self perception, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Beginning as a child, Norman kills his mother and her partner out of jealousy. In light of Freudian
theory, the Oedipus complex, Norman emulates the mythological king Oedipus...a young boy who is
sexually attracted to his mother, and as a result desires to kill his father in order to possess the mother
( Hitchcock Psychoanalysis , pars. 10). Norman s deep infatuation makes him unable to discern where
to put his sexual feelings towards her. Freud suggests that normal children are able to relocate their
intimate emotions onto different people and things (Ponce, pars. 4). Although, Norman experiences
hysterical amnesia which is the repression of infantile sexuality (Ponce, pars. 4). In this case,
biological determinism, an explanation that psychotic behaviour is an innate deficit, does not relate to
Norman after it is clear that his repressed childhood memories reflect his adult behaviour.
Additionally, the way his behaviour changes once he takes on the role of his mother shows the
challenges of their past bond. Norman plays his mother up to be cruel and capable of murder. Peter
Murris findings propose that Norman s negative representation of his mother and behaviour are
symptoms related to low levels of parental care (5). Familial factors explain why children struggle
with psychological problems, demonstrated in the context Norman emulates his mother. As a result,
Norman s life from infancy to adulthood is filled with

Description Of A Relational Database
NoSQL is the generalized term to describe a relational database that uses no form of SQL language
querying and consists of several data models to define it. My topic of this research paper is the
Document Store data model. I will be covering the introduction of the model and its mechanics, how
and when the model emerged, its strengths and weaknesses, and it s real world applications.
Introduction and How it Works
Document Store or Document oriented database is a data model within the NoSQL family, made for
storing, retrieving, and managing document based information. The concept revolves around
documents containing large amounts of data. A variety of documents are accepted, from there they are
encapsulated into an internal format, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Both use the Document database concept, but differ in it s process and tools. Julie Lerman explains in
her article What the Heck Are Document Databases that Raven DB was written for the Microsoft
.NET Framework and growing in popularity.
Model Emergence
In the 1970s, relational databases were introduced with data schemas simple and straightforward,
conceiving objects as sets of relationships. as mentioned in the Document Database webpage an article
object might be related to category (an object), a tag (another object), and a comment (another object)
.
These relationships between different types of data were defined in a database schema, the relational
database could be queried with a standard Structured Query Language (SQL). These SQL based
databases require a fixed amount of tables, a fixed amount of columns in each table, with each column
represent a fixed data type (integer, string, etc). Consequently fields of data stored in each column
must comply with the structure of the database and its tables. whatever data you want to store must be
known to create an appropriate database schema, this is the concept behind relational databases.
NoSQL was created to remedy the architecture of relational databases, to make the schema more
dynamic and ever expanding. With the emergence of cloud computing, unstructured data such as
social media posts in need of storage, and Agile development practice, The Document

The Dolphin Communication Project
According to the site Dolphin Communication Project, dolphins (2016) produce many signals in
different modes, which can include: vocal signals, non vocal auditory signals, visual signals and tactile
signals. Dolphins use mostly vocal signs and they produce two kinds of vocal signs: pure tones and
pulsed sounds. Pure tones can take the form of whistles, chirps, screams, and other continuous sounds.
Scientists refer to these as frequently modulated sounds , which means that the pitch of the sound
changes with time. Also, scientists have leaned that dolphins are able to reproduce manmade whistle
structures with precise accuracy. Dolphins produce whistles at social situations, they produce different
whistles in different situations, and scientists

The Turning Point For A Woman In The 1900 s The Awakening
Although The Awakening may be seen as a tragic love story to some, it is truly a novel that displays
the turning point for a woman s role in the 1900 s. The main character, Edna Pontellier, is the epitome
of the new working woman. The story centers around Edna s discovery of her beliefs which are found
through a series of awakenings and contrasted with the social norms of the time. Through the story
Edna becomes more and more uneasy about not being able to do and have what she really wants. This
can be shown from the beginning when she lets her children play by themselves and doesn t miss her
husband when he is away from home. Edna tried to be a good mother by becoming friends with an old
fashioned woman, Madame Adèle Ratignolle, who devoted her life to her husband and children.
However, when Edna was not around Madame Adèle Ratignolle, she forgot how to be like Adèle
Ratignolle and instead busied herself with what was considered to be her childish ways . She would
try to make herself as happy as possible; she was not her happiest with her husband and kids. When
Edna discovered her passion for art, she embraced it and neglected her family even more so than
before. Whether coerced or through self realizations, there were many awakenings in the book. The
first was that Edna was not the traditional mother like Adèle, the second was that she enjoyed doing
things for herself instead of for her children and husband. This second awakening is shown when Edna
takes time to talk

Action Research Project for Reading
PHASE 3, PART 1
A) Restatement of problem The problem stated in the Action Research Project was that 66% of third
grade students lack the ability to draw conclusions and make inferences to answer comprehension
questions correctly. This was evident by the state reading test scores, specifically the inference test
given by their teacher. This indicated a need for increased student achievement in making inferences
and drawing conclusions. Third grade students were not proficient at making inferences to gain a
deeper understanding of the texts read and thus answer open ended questions correctly. Therefore,
they did not get all the inference based comprehension questions correct based on the end of grade test

had happened in the story. The students used the Inferencing Rubric (Appendix C, p. 12) to guide
them as they write a narrative. The rubric was had five columns and each column had the criteria to
earn one to four points, totaling twenty points. This rubric was used to show the students what the
expectations were before they began writing their paper. The rubric was also used by the teacher to
score their final paper. Scores were tallied up and fifteen through twenty points would be passing
scores. The students were required to take an Inferencing Post Test (Appendix D, p. 13) after they had
been taught the lessons in the action research project. This is the same test they took before the
implementation. It was administered during consists of several reading passages and multiple choice
answers. There were fiction, non fiction, and poetry selections the students read and then answered
questions based on inferences created from the passages. Students answered the circled questions.
These results were compared to the scores gathered prior to the implementation. The End of Grade

The Positives Of Colonialism
World Issues: Personal Opinion Essay
The Positives of Colonialism:
Colonialism has been portrayed as leaving negative impacts on countries, however many do not take
into consideration the positives effects of colonization. The people of Africa established a mainstream
religion to follow (Christianity), including new laws and a new political system. Countries bonded
with one another and signed agreements to prevent conflict between countries. It has benefited many
people that were illiterate; schools and education were given importance by the British, whether it was
education in India or Africa all of them were given universal education. Colonization has brought
many benefits to countries like Africa, Pakistan and India. Each country was given the opportunity to
shape themselves, to be able to stand up on their own with British aid. Colonialism moulded the
countries to what they are, and in return the British requested much less than the countries it
supported. With the help of the British, countries managed to stabilize their justice systems, boost their
economy, and introduce a new religion. People misunderstood the British because of the power they
had and assumed that if they were to take over their land, they would lose all control over their
country. However contradicting their common beliefs, countries remained to have control over their
colonies and Britain continued to do its job as a provider. The power Britain encompassed provided
countries with safety and

Juan Domingo Perón Essay
Juan Domingo Perón Juan Domingo Perón, born in 1895 in Lobos, Argentina, was the President of
Argentina on two occasions separated by eighteen years. He first came to power by the election of
February 28,1946. He ruled for almost ten years until he was pressured to resign by the Argentine
military and in September of 1955 he left the country. He spent almost the next twenty years in exile
but never lost touch with the Argentine people and especially the Argentine labor movement. In 1973,
after eighteen years of exile, Perón returned to Argentina and was elected president again with his

These labor forces developed such tremendous loyalty to Juan Perón as a result of his special brand of
politics which provided that the economic solvency of the working class was the biggest priority of
the government. Organized labor in Argentina before the golpe of 1943 was in a state of constant
change and motion. Beginning with the golpe de estado that overthrew president Hipolito Yrigoyen in
September of 1930, the political climate of Argentina was a turmoiltuous backdrop for the labor
movement. The formation of the Conferatción General del Trabajo [CGT] took place in the same year.
The CGT was a conglomerate of the largest labor unions in the country, like railroad workers unions,
construction workers unions and textile workers unions. This marked the beginning of a new type of
unionization. The unions that formed between 1930 and 1943 were not only larger and more directed
at labor than trades, but they were willing to cooperate with the government. They were bread and
butter unions, now less interested in being in opposition to the state because they had gotten into
industries that required more cooperation with the government like railroads for example. (Barager,
1968) The unions started to establish some general trends in their practices in terms of labor
management relations. The basic foundations for these relations were collective bargaining and trade
union social insurance, which Perón later adapted for his own use. The social

EFFECT OF EXERCISE TRAINING ON NEUROMUSCULAR JUNCTION MOLECULAR
PATHWAYS:
The benefits of physical exercise for humans are known for many years and physical training can
interfere positively in the up regulation and protein expression of several molecules and growth
factors. Firstly, the physical exercise can alter the expression of Glial cell line derived neurotropic

Wehrwein, Roskelley Spitsbergen (2011) showed that 4 weeks of walking exercise on a treadmill

What [is scene] in the cemetery are the last vestiges of a great American tragedy (Roberts xi). This
cemetery is one massive grave, were the remains of nearly 13,000 Union prisoners of war who died of
disease and starvation between February 1864 and May 1865. This is Andersonville.
No person who comes to Andersonville can leave without profound soul searching. Moral, ethical and
factual questions come to mind. How could something as horrible as this happen? Who was
responsible? Have the guilty been punished (Roberts xii)? History books forget Andersonville, the
American people want to forget Andersonville, and the government denies Andersonville, yet when an
event is that horrific no one can forget or deny it. As much as America wants to forget what happened
at Andersonville, they will never be able to, for the ghosts of Andersonville are all around.
When something this awful happens, there is a need to find a villain. There is the need to place the
blame on the person whom society feels is responsible for the heinous acts. [Society] must be assured
that the terrible events that happened at Andersonville were the work of one lone madman, who was

Now it makes sense that in order to get a pack of paper, thousands of trees become an everyday use of
humans, and some don t take into account the hurt its causing mother earth for one sheet of paper.
Along with paper plantations, there are also timber and fiber plantations. Mahogany is found
throughout the whole rainforest, and as we all know it is also a very, very nice and expensive piece of
furniture. But no one seems to consider the fact where the lumber comes from. The same trees brought
down and logged are used for its beautiful lumber that today is being used to provide even the fanciest
house with very expensive furniture; therefore being a major cause of deforestation for the same claim
humans have for such beautiful lumber. Lastly, after cattle have soiled the grounds of the area where it
roamed, this land gets turned into fields after fields of cultivation. first a rainforest area is logged for
its valuable lumber, then burned for cattle grazing, and as the land becomes exhausted, plowed up for

Difference Between Mind And Body
When asked whether there is a difference between mind and body, most people (e.g. most non
philosophers) will likely answer with an immediate yes. This is due to the fact that we have the
inherent belief that our mental processes differ from that of the physical. This idea just seems right.
However, if we truly believe that the mind has a nonphysical existence then how can we reconcile the
relationship between mind and body an interaction between the nonphysical and the physical?
Furthermore, if we concede that the laws of physics, which only acknowledge the existence of
physical processes, are currently the most accurate descriptors of the world in which we live, how can
we continue to maintain this idea of a nonphysical existence of the mind in a world solely influenced
by physical causes? Therefore, in order to define the mind , we must first consider these two
conflicting ideas and distinguish the characteristics and capabilities of the mind and how they differ
from those of the body. In this paper I will argue that the mind is separate from the body and not
merely defined as a series of physical states.
Our first option in defining the mind is to solely rely on the physical laws of nature. However, these
physical laws only account for the physical states of the universe. Therefore, this option argues that
our mind states are identical with physical states and when we speak of the mind we are merely stating
a particular description of the physical world and

Egyptian Religion
Egypt was a very powerful empire lasting more than 3000 years, which is divided into 8 or 9 periods,
sometimes called kingdoms. But what made their empire, so powerful, what made it last more than 3
millennia. Egyptologist believes that it was due to Egypt s strong bond with their gods and goddesses
and their mythological beliefs. The gods and goddesses and the myths were the foundations of Egypt s
cultural structure. The Egyptian gods were vital in the religion and culture of Egypt. The gods were
the explanation for life, death, basically everything about on earth and in our universe. The most
popular gods were Ra, Osiris, Isis, Horus, Seth, and Anubis. Ra was the god of the sun and creation.
He was often depicted as a hawk headed man with a sun disk; he may also be depicted as a scarab
beetle. Osiris is the god of life, death, and the afterlife. Osiris has the appearance of a mummified
Pharaoh; he wore an Atef crown with feathers on the sides, and held a crook and flail, the tools of a
Pharaoh. He had green skin, with meaning rebirth to the Egyptians. Isis was the wife of Osiris, and the
mother of Horus. She was also the goddess of magic, marriage, and healing. She is depicted as a
queen with a sun disk. Horus was the son of Osiris and Isis. Horus is the Egyptian god of the sky. He

The Dark Side Of The Perfectly Manicured American Lawn
One way that authors attempt to get their readers to think about the environment is by drawing
attention to the fact that people harm it. For example, in The Dark Side of the Perfectly Manicured
American Lawn: Is It Giving You Cancer? the author talks about the common herbicide 2,4 D and
writes, At first, its impact on humans seems mild skin and eye irritation, nausea, vomiting, dizziness,
stiffness in the arms and legs, (Jenkins, 2016). In the event that these symptoms aren t off putting
enough, the author then claims that 2,4 D can actually cause cancer in humans because it stimulates
extremely rapid cell growth (Jenkins, 2016). I don t know about you, but I think that trading your

Gene Stratton Porter uses this technique in her book, Moths of the Limberlost. Instead of talking about
chemicals and pesticides and the dangers of using then, Stratton Porter gets us to think about the
environment by promoting it. Then the Winter Swamp had all the lacy exquisite beauty of such
locations when snow and frost draped, while from May until October it was practically tropical jungle,
she writes (Citation here). Not only does she focus on the land and plants, but she also talks about the
animals that live in this swamp, primarily moths, calling them, fragile night wanderers and
moonflowers of June s darkness (Citation here). The Limberlost Swamp sounds like a beautiful place
that you would want to visit, right? Of course, the hidden implication is that you can t, or at least not
unless humans change the way we treat the environment.
An additional technique used by authors to motivate readers to treat the environment well is using
fictional works to get their message across. A well known example of this is The Lorax by Dr. Seuss.
When you read this story as a kid, you may not realize that the story intentionally mirrors our world
today, but eventually you realize that it isn t just about truffalump trees being cut down; it s about real
ones: pine trees and oaks and sycamores, to name a few. The humming fish mentioned in the story
may not exist in real life, but we are harming actual fish by polluting our rivers with dangerous

From Sandwich Shop to Subway
Subway Report
Subway was founded in 1965 by Fred DeLuca and Peter Buck. The duo opened their first sandwich
shop when DeLuca was only seventeen years old. DeLuca s childhood dream was to become a
prominent doctor. Therefore, he needed to find a way to pay for his medical career. On the other hand,
Peter Buck was a family friend who offered DeLuca the possibility to become business partners. Their
first store was opened in Bridgeport, Connecticut. It was called, Pete s Super Submarines. They sold
over three hundred sandwiches on the opening day. The price range for each sandwich was between
forty nine to sixty nine cents. Although they struggled for couple of years they were optimistic. Their
goal at that time was to open over thirty stores in the next ten years. The pair wanted to create a
success image. Later, Fred learned that good customer service, quality food and low prices were
important to stay in business for a long time.
In 1968, the little submarine shop changed their name to the trademark Subway. They made seven
thousand dollars only on that year. However, the duo was too ambitious to settle with that. It was in
1974, and after sixteen stores in Wallingford, Connecticut that Subway grew into a franchise. In this
way, becoming the first franchise in the United States. The mindset of DeLuca and Buck was to allow
the now chain brand, to expand countrywide. But at this point they fell half way short on their original
goal ten years ago. This

Dmitri Mendeleev Research Paper
Ben Jensen Mr. Houston Chemistry 14 May 2014 Dmitri Mendeleev It is the function of science to

And this refers in equal measure to the relations of man social and political and to the entire universe

both his work as a chemist and his opinion about the importance of scientific research and education.

Organic Farming Chapter Summary
This chapter was about the struggle of living with locally grown food and cloth diapers. Colin Beavan
got in touch with some foodies and asked what they did for eating environmentally conscience. And
Colin and his wife found other activities to do during their normal TV time, like preparing ingredients
for their meals and spending time with their friends. Colin even went as far as to visit the farm that he
gets his milk from just to see if the farmer s ideals lined up with his.
This chapter brought up a good point about the antibiotics regulations for organic farming. As
someone who was once a member of 4 H if you are planning on raising market animals the healthier
the animal is the better. So when the USDA set the no antibiotics standard for market animals to be
considered organic is unrealistic because in order to have a shot at raising healthy animals they need to
get shots to keep them from getting sick. And this doesn t just apply to 4 H, it applies to commercial
farms too and that s why some of them treat their animals so badly. Commercial farms try to follow
the USDA rules but aren t making enough money to keep their animals healthy so when they get sick
the animals are hurriedly pushed to get well without the use of vet care, because that s money that they
could use to buy more animals instead of trying to care for the ones they have. This doesn t condone
the methods the commercial farms use but it is easier to care for the animals better when you are a 4 H
er and raising 1 3 animals per year as opposed to a factory farm raising 60 70 animals per year.

How Did Socrates Corrupt Youth
Socrates was a wise philosophical man that was in search of the truth about wisdom. However, his
answers of true wisdom and his opinions lead Socrates to be brought up on charges. Many viewed him
as a corrupting influence on other people accused him of forcing his ideas upon others. Socrates was
charged with two charges, the first one was impiety and the second one was the corrupting of the
youth. Socrates responded to these charges by denying the fact that his wisdom and philosophical
activities had caused no harm to the society he lives in. Socrates defense against the charge that he
does not believe in the gods is honest and sufficient. Socrates states that the accusers are in the wrong

Socrates questions Meletus, one of the men that accused him of corrupting the youth. During this trial,
he says that Meletus only pretends to care and be serious of things he has never cared about before.
Socrates asks him, do you not regard it as most important how the youth will be the best possible? (24
d), and Meletus does not respond at first but then says that the judges and the laws are what shapes the
youth to make them better. Socrates defends himself by saying that the only reason they brought him
to trial is because they did not like Socrates ignorance and find him irritating. Socrates was the only
one who cared about teaching the youth because he understood that they were important and they
were the future. For it would be a great happiness for the young if one alone corrupts them, while the
others benefit them. But in fact, Meletus, you have sufficiently displayed that you never yet gave any
thought to the young. And you are making your own lack of care plainly apparent, since you have
cared nothing about the things for which you bring me in here. (25

Review Of Sire s Arguments For Other Worldviews
Sire provides a concise introduction for anyone who either misunderstands, or has no concept of a
worldview; but some may disagree on what he may have added or left out. If an atheist were to pick
up this book, he or she may feel as though Sire spent more time on the Christian worldview than
giving legitimate arguments for other worldviews. Is there a way to read Sire s book, as a non
Christian, and agree with his statements, or is this book only for Christian students (who will mostly
agree since they already hold his presuppositions)? The Christian may be satisfied with his answers,
but if his goal is to educate on other worldviews; this book may get dismissed as uneven when
presenting arguments for different worldviews. Another issue

Forensic Science Vs Criminal Justice Essay
When a college student must decide what he/she wants to do for a career, this can be the most difficult
decision the student will ever have to make about his/her life, because it is forever. The student has
now decided that is down to two choices: forensic science or criminal justice.
Forensic science is the application of sciences such as physics, chemistry, biology, computer science
and engineering to matters of law. Forensic science can help investigators understand how blood
spatter patterns occur (physics), learn the composition and source of evidence such as drugs and trace
materials (chemistry) or determine the identity of an unknown suspect (biology) ( Forensic Sciences )

The Criminal Justice System ). In both state and federal criminal justice systems, there are five
different components that make up the criminal justice process, law enforcement, prosecution, defense

Cultural Differences Between Surena And Nortena
To any outsider, Surena and Nortena girls seem to be one and the same. Without an understanding of
the minute and significant differences between each distinct group of girls, it is easy to group them
together, for the sake of simplicity. Indeed, many polling organization underestimate the differences
between different sects of latina girls and often come up confused on why their predictions were

When Nortenas and Surenas are viewed through the lens of only mexican girls, the differences
between the two groups seem insurmountable. However, when Nortena and Surena girls are compared
with other ethnic groups, such as caucasian and asian girls, their differences seem smaller. This isn t to
undermine the differences of each group, rather the girls have no choice. The world that many

The Eastern Cottontail (Sylvilagus floridanus) is a mammal that lives throughout the eastern parts of
Texas, according to The Mammals of Texas. The Desert Cottontail (Sylvilagus audubonii) is also a
rabbit native to Texas. The Desert Cottontail lives in the uplands of Texas on the western half of the
state, says The Mammals of Texas. Of the two, the Eastern Cottontail is the most common. A close
relative of these cottontails is the New England Cottontail. The Desert Cottontail and the Eastern
Cottontail have both evolved from the New England Cottontail to survive in their environments.

more social than the Eastern Cottontail. The Eastern Cottontail likes to be near town and farming

The Eastern Cottontail breeds all year long. The Desert Cottontails have no record of breeding in
January, July or October, be do breed during every other month of the year. To make up for this, the
Desert Cottontail matures into adulthood faster than the Eastern Cottontail. The Desert Cottontail
reaches adulthood in 3 months and is ready to breed sooner than the Eastern Cottontail. The Eastern
Cottontail lives three years or less and the Desert Cottontail is only known to live up to two years.
In conclusion, the Desert Cottontail and the Eastern Cottontail are more different than they seem.
They tend to be paired together because of their appearance, and if you look up pictures it is difficult
to differentiate between the two, but there are quite some differences. The fact is, that even the

Real Courage Research Paper
Courage is a highly debated topic in modern day society. Phrases such as, Was that really courage? or
I could have done that, prevent us from seeing true courage. Courage is not always a heroic win of a
battle, or even the fight against terrible diseases. Courage is the willingness to stand up for what is
right, and to get back up, even when things go wrong. Courage is, and always will be, one of the great
gifts of the Holy Spirit, and can be shown be ordinary people in their everyday lives. Some people are
chosen to be saints because of their great courage. While many see Saint Francis of Assisi as a sweet
guy who walked around singing, and smelling the roses, they are wrong. When he was young he went
to war eagerly, and later in his life he endured imprisonment and illness.
Saint Maximilian Kolbe lived in Poland during WWII. He was sent to a death camp by the Nazis.
When ten men in his cell were chosen to be executed, Maximilian offered to take the place of a man
who had a wife and two children. The Nazis were more than happy to oblige. Mother Teresa Calcutta

The Risk Of An Ectopic Pregnancy
infections are pain, red vaginal bleeding, diarrhoea, fever and feeling unwell. Pelvic infections are
treated with antibiotics however severe cases are treated with surgery. Having a miscarriage is also a
biological implication because the risk of having a miscarriage with PGD or IVF is the same risk for
someone who conceived their child naturally, however there is a lot more for the PGD mother to lose
compared to the naturally conceived mother, for example PGD costs a lot of money where as natural
conception doesn t. The risk of an ectopic pregnancy is a biological implication because it can lead to
a miscarriage. Ectopic pregnancy is when the fertilised egg stays in the fallopian tube, and in rare
cases can attach to one of the mother s ovaries, another organ in the abdomen, the cornua of the uterus
or the cervix. With ectopic pregnancy emergency treatment is required, and the chances of the baby
surviving are very low. Symptoms of ectopic pregnancy include; light bleeding, nausea and vomiting
with pain, pain in the lower abdomen, sharp cramps, dizziness, and if the fallopian tube ruptures then
the pain and bleeding could possibly be severe enough to cause fainting.
The social implications to PGD include financing the cost of PGD, discrimination against people
carrying specific genetic diseases or disorder which makes them have disabilities, taxpayers and
ministry of health funding the treatment, and the success rate of PGD and IVF.

Disadvantages of Biofuel Production
According to this article written by David Pimentel, Alison Marklein, Megan A. Toth, Marissa N.
Karpoff, Gillian S. Paul, Robert McCormack, Joanna Kyriazis, and Tim Krueger, the production of
biofuels is not only energetically wasteful in most circumstances, but it is also causing food shortages
throughout the world. By creating biofuels throughout United States, we are not only using up
valuable farmlands, but we are actually becoming more dependent upon foreign oil.
Throughout this article several statistics are given to show how energetically unfavorable the
production of biofuels really is. Not only does the production of biofuels require huge amounts of
resources like water, cropland, and chemical fertilizers, but in many cases it also consumes more net
energy in fossil fuels than it produces in alternative energy resources. Some examples of biofuel
production throughout the world include biomass resources, corn ethanol, grass and cellulosic ethanol,
soybean biodiesel, and algae for oil production.
Renewable biomass resources on planet Earth amount to nearly 92 quads or 19% of the global energy
use per year. One quad is equal to 1 quadrillion or 1015 BTU s. To place this into perspective, a little
over 1,000 BTU s are in a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The majority of these biomass resources
come from wood harvested from forests throughout the world. Included in this biomass calculation is
the total forest biomass production that yields 38 quads or 8% of the

Orange Damnation Of The Vietnam s Orange Damnation
Vietnam s Orange Damnation In recent history, there has been an abundance of chemical warfare that
caused harm to society, nature, and immeasurable damage post war. To be more specific, the Vietnam
war was one of the most noticeable conflicts that was destructive to both parties involved through
chemical warfare, not only to the soldiers but also the environment. During the 1960s through to
current day, the chemical pollution of the many mangrove forests near local villages led to health
problems for the local Vietnamese people and the American soldiers. Located in Vietnam, mangrove
forest was one of the main sources of vegetation for enemy soldiers during the war. To decrease
enemy morale, the chemical herbicide, known as Agent Orange, was made by the U.S. to poison their
crops and starve the enemy troops. The highly potent Agent Orange created many unintended
problems for the locals as well as the troops because of the catastrophic damages to the landscape and
continues to affect the locals to this day. For example, polluted crops and farm lands, Bio
accumulation of Agent orange, and chronic medical problems. During the Vietnam war, the American
government used several dangerous herbicides, the most controversial was known as Agent Orange
due to its harsh impact the environment. According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, Agent Orange was

The Messiah Of God
Christology is a synthesized word that is made up of the following: Christos and Logos, which
translates into, Christ and Talk or talking; for example, talking about Christ. Christology is a
continuous dissertation on Jesus as the Messiah of God.
However there is an operational and functional aspect and it would include faith, discipline, and
worship; Christology is methodical contemplation on the mystery of the person of Jesus Christ as
views in the divine plan of redemption to humankind. Therefore, it reflects the person, being and the
task and trials of Jesus; and who has been declared by his followers as the Christ of God. Hence, Jesus
Christ s presence is the onset of all Christological thinking.

It should be noted; early Christians were also of Jewish ancestry. There are several qualifiers that must
be observed. First, their experience with the Jesus Christ event was historically pre conditioned. And
secondly, it had to take place in that cultural location, to have proclaimed Him as Christ, Lord, Son of
God, Son of Man. This would also mean He is the one who realizes the hope of Israel and of
humanity, yet seen from the eschatological standpoint of the 1st century Judaism grounded in Hebrew
Scriptures. To see God s saving act active through Christ event in our time, we must repeatedly ask,
the fundamental question: Mk 8:27 29: Who do people say I am; and what do you say that I am?
Author Jurgen Moltmann presents a particular perspective on these above mentioned questions and
angles which are likely drawn from his personal influences. Much of his religious outlook was shaped
by his experience in his early years. The Crucified God was published in German in 1972 when Jurgen
Moltmann was a forty six year old professor of theology at the University of Tübingen. Moltmann
began writing this manuscript directly after World War II; he was no more than twenty years old. It is
critical to note that Moltmann was a prisoner of war. Raised as a secularist, this is to say someone who
believed that religious considerations should be excluded from civil affairs or public education.

Raymond Carver it portrayed self actualization to seek or need something and having the affirmation
of it. The movie Birdman (2014) touches this but mainly with the issues of seeking relevance and the
need to have their own self image. In this essay, I claim that Birdman (2014) gives an image on how

My Personal Opinion On The Game
I ve had the pleasure of enjoying about five or six hours of MP thus far, (I ve lost count.) including an
entirely sleepless night I took to stay up and continue playing to beat the campaign at hand. Below, I
ve written a release day review to assist you in deciding whether you would enjoy this game or not.
First of all, make no mistake, Battlefield Hardline isn t simply a reboot of BF4. Though every BF
game is similar to the others, Battlefield Hardline appears to be the freshest attempt at BF since the
release of BC. In my personal opinion, I m stoked that this game is a bit different, because if I desire a
military based FPS, the community surrounding BF4 continues to actively thrive!
I quickly observed that loading times appear to be longer than usual for the majority of FPS games.
However, I ve only played 5 hours of MP, which doesn t include beta). So, keep that in mind, because
though I wanted to note this fact, I don t want to create the impression that I don t know how the game
will ultimately play on your system when it s cooled down or that I m knowledgeable about the
progression system.
Reasons Why You Should Play the Campaign
Visceral has made a concerted effort to create an immersive campaign. In fact, it s my favorite BF
campaign, only second to BC2, obviously! I m entirely cognizant that it being my favored campaign
isn t really enough of a reason for you to gauge you re interest, but I want to further convey my
enjoyment I

The Princess Bride Analysis
In the film, The Princess Bride, the director Rob Reiner introduced many themes into the plot. A
significant theme in the film, The Princess Bride, is Intelligence . Had intelligence not have been a
contributing factor to the plot, there would be a completely different outcome at the end. Deception,
outwitting, outsmarting, all contribute to how the story ends. An excellent example of this is when
Westley and Vizzini had a battle of wit to win the princess, as Vizzini had kidnapped her. The shots
used were mostly close ups, as the two of them had no real power over the other. Westley was the one
leading the challenge. This involved Vizzini choosing which wine goblet had the iodine powder. Of
course, Westley had developed an immunity to iodine powder, so he had put iodine powder in both
goblets. Vizzini, thinking he was smart, continuously questioned which goblet it could be in, making it
look like he was stalling. He eventually picked one, drunk it, and thought he had won. He had not.
After Vizzini collapsed to the ground, Westley escorted Buttercup away and shared some of his tales
to her. These experiences he had experienced caused this Man in black to be almost terrifying to
Buttercup, as she had not known yet that he was in fact, Westley. Buttercup explains to him about her
lost love, and Westley simply mocks her. You mock my pain! She tells him, upset by his lack of
caring. He just replies, Life is pain, Highness. Anyone who says different is selling something. He
says this with ease as he knows exactly her pain. Westley s speech pattern was very proper, and he was
quite knowledgeable in his many experiences. He knew about the terrors of the fire swamp, and
seemed to know lots of useful information to help him and Buttercup get away. He had experienced
many other situations that helped contribute to his vast knowledge. Having a high level of intelligence
also contributes to your authority over people. When Westley was climbing the mountain to get to
Inigo, a low shot was used showing that currently, Inigo had power. Another example, Prince
Humperdinck, being royal, had quite a bit of authority

  • 2. Importance Of Internship At Central Park And Theater Project I interned at Gorgeous Entertainment, Inc. from October to December. The company produces special events represented by Japan Day @ Central Park and theater projects represented by Tony nominated Pacific Overtures. The small size of the office and the large scale of the projects provided me opportunities to practice a greater variety of jobs. During my internship, my main tasks were related to their latest theater project, Prince of Broadway and their upcoming special event, Japan Day @ Central Park. There were also many other administrative tasks. For Prince of Broadway, I mainly worked for media clipping. I clipped various articles about this musical revue featuring the acclaimed Broadway musical director, Harold Prince. For online ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To post an advertisement for some stores, I paid cash provided by the company. After each distribution, I took notes about information like the number distributed at each location, and then I shared it on Google Sheets. These tasks were repeated after the company decided to extend the deadline for submissions. I also made a digital call for artists to be distributed to schools. I edited the Word file from last year to update it to the version of this year. I basically paraphrased the sentences, changed the dates names, and replaced the images of the official poster and prize winning works. I was also assigned a research task for the upcoming Japan Day event. I researched about some Japanese group of artists and summarized their activities in U.S. and Japan as biographies. They are to be used for the board of directors to discuss them as candidates to perform at Japan Day. There was one job involving translation. The company regularly publishes a press release about the upcoming Japan Day @ Central Park 2018 in both English and Japanese. I translated the Japanese version into English. It was about the announcement of the special jury of the art contest. On a regular basis, I managed the files of the art contest submissions. I downloaded the image files submitted on WuFoo and saved them with an entry number and name. I also uploaded them on the company s Dropbox account. I also did media clipping for online call for artists of Japan Day. As I ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. How Iso Is A System Of International Standards Key Term and Why You Are Interested in It ISO is a system of international standards that is serving and supporting many facets of the industry today. Starting in the manufacturing arena to add standardization to units and measurements as products move from one country to another in different stages of production, ISO ensures that dimensions are the same no matter what country the product is manufactured in. This key concept interested me because I work under ISO 9001:2008 standards daily. Our processes, patient care, and performance improvements measured by the ISO standards have become ingrained in my organization s culture. Explanation of the Key Term ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is the world s largest developer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The newest standards are ISO 26000, which standardizes social responsibility, and ISO/IEC 27001, which is a developed management system to standardize information security (ISO, n.d.). The most well known and best selling standard of the ISO governing body is ISO 9000, which was developed in 1987 (ISO, n.d.). ISO 9000 is for quality management standards. Quality management includes standards that help the organization identify processes that can be developed and employ constant performance improvement. ISO 9000 has been utilized by many national and international companies to constantly improve performance and processes, but ISO 9000 usually involves a manufacturing company. Major Article Summary ISO, known for developing standards for many disciplines of business, also developed standards for healthcare; in 1996, a hospital in Louisiana was the first American hospital to adopt ISO 9001 (Bird, 2001). Prior to this inception by the Louisiana hospital, the reviewed article, published on October 10th, 2001 and titled ISO 9000 guidelines for the health care sector, revealed that a group of healthcare officials dubbed the International Workshop Agreement (IWA) developed the first quality management system for healthcare titled Quality Management Systems Guidelines for Process Improvements, which used many standards and processes from the well known ISO 9000 standards (Bird, 2001). • 4. Social Forces in to Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee Everyone in the world has their own identity; have you ever thought about what your identity is? Identity plays a big role in the world especially in America where not all identities are good. People might identify a wealthy person as snotty rich or a poor person as defective or maybe someone calls a man a woman when they re really a man. Or maybe you call someone a terrorist just because they are middle eastern. The list goes on and on and thats why social forces influence identities and can become dangerous. Gender, race, and social class are all forms of social forces. Race is everywhere in the world. But people need to understand that race isn t color. Anyone can have color; people can be a Hispanic and have very dark skin and still be referred to as a black person. Race is culture and culture is everywhere. It disgusting how we can t get along with each other and we re in the 21st century. In the race forum at John Hersey High school (Janu, Bruce) it was said that there s still a lot of racism going on in the world to this date. He gave the example of many lynchings in Texas. In the book To Kill A Mockingbird Scouts dad is called a nigger lover (Lee Chapter 9) and the only reason he is called a nigger lover is because he is a lawyer and he helps anyone out when they are in trouble. Another example in the To Any Would Be Terrorists (Nye n.p) article says that when the word terrorist is said, people automatically think its referring to the middle east or ... In the movie Psycho by Alfred Hitchcock, Norman Bates downfall proposes how crucial a healthy childhood is to the mental state of a developing child. Contrary to nature focused beliefs, not all human behaviour comes from an individual s genetic makeup, but rather through experiences that become ingrained in the mind like scripture (Cooke 25). Theories proposed by Sigmund Freud and other research comparing the relation between psychopathy and environment can help to rationalize the reasons behind Norman Bates unsuccessful childhood, the impact of his parent child relationship on his self perception, ... In light of Freudian theory, the Oedipus complex, Norman emulates the mythological king Oedipus...a young boy who is sexually attracted to his mother, and as a result desires to kill his father in order to possess the mother ( Hitchcock Psychoanalysis , pars. 10). Norman s deep infatuation makes him unable to discern where to put his sexual feelings towards her. Freud suggests that normal children are able to relocate their intimate emotions onto different people and things (Ponce, pars. 4). Although, Norman experiences hysterical amnesia which is the repression of infantile sexuality (Ponce, pars. 4). In this case, biological determinism, an explanation that psychotic behaviour is an innate deficit, does not relate to Norman after it is clear that his repressed childhood memories reflect his adult behaviour. Additionally, the way his behaviour changes once he takes on the role of his mother shows the challenges of their past bond. Norman plays his mother up to be cruel and capable of murder. Peter Murris findings propose that Norman s negative representation of his mother and behaviour are symptoms related to low levels of parental care (5). Familial factors explain why children struggle with psychological problems, demonstrated in the context Norman emulates his mother. My topic of this research paper is the Document Store data model. Introduction and How it Works Document Store or Document oriented database is a data model within the NoSQL family, made for storing, retrieving, and managing document based information. Model Emergence In the 1970s, relational databases were introduced with data schemas simple and straightforward, conceiving objects as sets of relationships. as mentioned in the Document Database webpage an article object might be related to category (an object), a tag (another object), and a comment (another object) . These relationships between different types of data were defined in a database schema, the relational database could be queried with a standard Structured Query Language (SQL). These SQL based databases require a fixed amount of tables, a fixed amount of columns in each table, with each column represent a fixed data type (integer, string, etc). Consequently fields of data stored in each column must comply with the structure of the database and its tables. whatever data you want to store must be known to create an appropriate database schema, this is the concept behind relational databases. NoSQL was created to remedy the architecture of relational databases, to make the schema more dynamic and ever expanding. • 8. The Turning Point For A Woman In The 1900 s The Awakening Although The Awakening may be seen as a tragic love story to some, it is truly a novel that displays the turning point for a woman s role in the 1900 s. The main character, Edna Pontellier, is the epitome of the new working woman. The story centers around Edna s discovery of her beliefs which are found through a series of awakenings and contrasted with the social norms of the time. Through the story Edna becomes more and more uneasy about not being able to do and have what she really wants. This can be shown from the beginning when she lets her children play by themselves and doesn t miss her husband when he is away from home. Edna tried to be a good mother by becoming friends with an old fashioned woman, Madame Adèle Ratignolle, who devoted her life to her husband and children. However, when Edna was not around Madame Adèle Ratignolle, she forgot how to be like Adèle Ratignolle and instead busied herself with what was considered to be her childish ways . She would try to make herself as happy as possible; she was not her happiest with her husband and kids. When Edna discovered her passion for art, she embraced it and neglected her family even more so than before. Whether coerced or through self realizations, there were many awakenings in the book. The first was that Edna was not the traditional mother like Adèle, the second was that she enjoyed doing things for herself instead of for her children and husband. This second awakening is shown when Edna takes time to talk ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Colonization has brought many benefits to countries like Africa, Pakistan and India. Each country was given the opportunity to shape themselves, to be able to stand up on their own with British aid. Colonialism moulded the countries to what they are, and in return the British requested much less than the countries it supported. With the help of the British, countries managed to stabilize their justice systems, boost their economy, and introduce a new religion. • 15. Difference Between Mind And Body When asked whether there is a difference between mind and body, most people (e.g. most non philosophers) will likely answer with an immediate yes. This is due to the fact that we have the inherent belief that our mental processes differ from that of the physical. This idea just seems right. However, if we truly believe that the mind has a nonphysical existence then how can we reconcile the relationship between mind and body an interaction between the nonphysical and the physical? Furthermore, if we concede that the laws of physics, which only acknowledge the existence of physical processes, are currently the most accurate descriptors of the world in which we live, how can we continue to maintain this idea of a nonphysical existence of the mind in a world solely influenced by physical causes? Therefore, in order to define the mind , we must first consider these two conflicting ideas and distinguish the characteristics and capabilities of the mind and how they differ from those of the body. In this paper I will argue that the mind is separate from the body and not merely defined as a series of physical states. Our first option in defining the mind is to solely rely on the physical laws of nature. However, these physical laws only account for the physical states of the universe. Therefore, this option argues that our mind states are identical with physical states and when we speak of the mind we are merely stating a particular description of the physical world and ... This chapter brought up a good point about the antibiotics regulations for organic farming. As someone who was once a member of 4 H if you are planning on raising market animals the healthier the animal is the better. So when the USDA set the no antibiotics standard for market animals to be considered organic is unrealistic because in order to have a shot at raising healthy animals they need to get shots to keep them from getting sick. And this doesn t just apply to 4 H, it applies to commercial farms too and that s why some of them treat their animals so badly. Commercial farms try to follow the USDA rules but aren t making enough money to keep their animals healthy so when they get sick the animals are hurriedly pushed to get well without the use of vet care, because that s money that they could use to buy more animals instead of trying to care for the ones they have. This doesn t condone the methods the commercial farms use but it is easier to care for the animals better when you are a 4 H er and raising 1 3 animals per year as opposed to a factory farm raising 60 70 animals per year. ... • 31. Real Courage Research Paper Courage is a highly debated topic in modern day society. Phrases such as, Was that really courage? or I could have done that, prevent us from seeing true courage. Courage is not always a heroic win of a battle, or even the fight against terrible diseases. Courage is the willingness to stand up for what is right, and to get back up, even when things go wrong. Courage is, and always will be, one of the great gifts of the Holy Spirit, and can be shown be ordinary people in their everyday lives. Some people are chosen to be saints because of their great courage. While many see Saint Francis of Assisi as a sweet guy who walked around singing, and smelling the roses, they are wrong. When he was young he went to war eagerly, and later in his life he endured imprisonment and illness. Saint Maximilian Kolbe lived in Poland during WWII. He was sent to a death camp by the Nazis. When ten men in his cell were chosen to be executed, Maximilian offered to take the place of a man who had a wife and two children. The Nazis were more than happy to oblige. • 33. Disadvantages of Biofuel Production According to this article written by David Pimentel, Alison Marklein, Megan A. Toth, Marissa N. Karpoff, Gillian S. Paul, Robert McCormack, Joanna Kyriazis, and Tim Krueger, the production of biofuels is not only energetically wasteful in most circumstances, but it is also causing food shortages throughout the world. By creating biofuels throughout United States, we are not only using up valuable farmlands, but we are actually becoming more dependent upon foreign oil. Throughout this article several statistics are given to show how energetically unfavorable the production of biofuels really is. Not only does the production of biofuels require huge amounts of resources like water, cropland, and chemical fertilizers, but in many cases it also consumes more net energy in fossil fuels than it produces in alternative energy resources. Some examples of biofuel production throughout the world include biomass resources, corn ethanol, grass and cellulosic ethanol, soybean biodiesel, and algae for oil production. Renewable biomass resources on planet Earth amount to nearly 92 quads or 19% of the global energy use per year. One quad is equal to 1 quadrillion or 1015 BTU s. To place this into perspective, a little over 1,000 BTU s are in a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. My Personal Opinion On The Game I ve had the pleasure of enjoying about five or six hours of MP thus far, (I ve lost count.) including an entirely sleepless night I took to stay up and continue playing to beat the campaign at hand. Below, I ve written a release day review to assist you in deciding whether you would enjoy this game or not. First of all, make no mistake, Battlefield Hardline isn t simply a reboot of BF4. Though every BF game is similar to the others, Battlefield Hardline appears to be the freshest attempt at BF since the release of BC. In my personal opinion, I m stoked that this game is a bit different, because if I desire a military based FPS, the community surrounding BF4 continues to actively thrive! I quickly observed that loading times appear to be longer than usual for the majority of FPS games. However, I ve only played 5 hours of MP, which doesn t include beta). • 40. The Princess Bride Analysis In the film, The Princess Bride, the director Rob Reiner introduced many themes into the plot. A significant theme in the film, The Princess Bride, is Intelligence . Had intelligence not have been a contributing factor to the plot, there would be a completely different outcome at the end. Deception, outwitting, outsmarting, all contribute to how the story ends. An excellent example of this is when Westley and Vizzini had a battle of wit to win the princess, as Vizzini had kidnapped her. The shots used were mostly close ups, as the two of them had no real power over the other. Westley was the one leading the challenge. This involved Vizzini choosing which wine goblet had the iodine powder. Of course, Westley had developed an immunity to iodine powder, so he had put iodine powder in both goblets. Vizzini, thinking he was smart, continuously questioned which goblet it could be in, making it look like he was stalling. He eventually picked one, drunk it, and thought he had won. He had not. After Vizzini collapsed to the ground, Westley escorted Buttercup away and shared some of his tales to her. These experiences he had experienced caused this Man in black to be almost terrifying to Buttercup, as she had not known yet that he was in fact, Westley. Buttercup explains to him about her lost love, and Westley simply mocks her. You mock my pain! She tells him, upset by his lack of caring. He just replies, Life is pain, Highness. Anyone who says different is selling something. He says this with ease as he knows exactly her pain. Westley s speech pattern was very proper, and he was quite knowledgeable in his many experiences. He knew about the terrors of the fire swamp, and seemed to know lots of useful information to help him and Buttercup get away. He had experienced many other situations that helped contribute to his vast knowledge. Having a high level of intelligence also contributes to your authority over people. When Westley was climbing the mountain to get to Inigo, a low shot was used showing that currently, Inigo had power. Another example, Prince Humperdinck, being royal, had quite a bit of authority ...
