SOCIAL HALL GYMNASIUM
• To obtain max. benefits from social hall gymnasium, this facility is ordinary used for a variety of social
activities, such as folk, square and social dancing, banquets and roller skating, in addition to
basketball, and other forms of athletics.
• The size of social hall gymnasium should be atleast 90 by 100 ft. min. ht. 22 ft.
• This will be well permit a basketball court of 50 by 84 ft. seating approximately 325 spectators.
• There should be no windows.
MULTIPURPOSE HALL
The multipurpose hall should be designed to accommodate such activities as general
meeting, social recreation, active table games, dancing, dramatics, orchestra practice,
concerts and banquets.
The area of this room should be approximately 2,000 to 3,000 ft.
It should be rectangular in shape.
Its min. width 40ft.
The min. ceiling ht. should be atleast 16ft.
DRESSING AND LOCKER ROOM
• A room for the purpose of changing clothes is
necessary and should be in close proximity to the
social hall gymnasium
STORAGE AREA
• One of the most common error in any type of
buildings is the lack of sufficient storage space for
the equipments, maintenance and custodial
purposes.
ART AND CRAFT ROOM
A separate art and craft room are desirable however if this is not possible,
then atleast one club room should be equipped for crafts.
Ample storage cabinets, closets or lockers should be included for the safe
storage of craft materials
CUSTODIAL STORAGE ROOM
A supply closets equipped with the slop sink and space for mops,
pails, brooms and cleaning supplies should be centrally located on
each floor level.
LOUNGE AND LOBBY
• The lobby of the building is the space just inside the entrance.
• The lounge should open off lobby, and is possible should be close to the central office and to the multipurpose
room and/or social hall gymnasium.
• The lounge and lobby are often combined into one room when they combined it is suggested the size of lobby and
lounge be about 600 to 800 sq. ft. with attractive lighting.
GAMES ROOM
The game room approximately 30 by 64 ft. in size is designed for a
variety of games, including billiards and table tennis.
In planning this room sufficient storage space should be provided
for various items of game equipment and supplies to be used.

• A special room can be
provided and equipped
as a dark room.

DIRECTOR’S OFFICE
• An office of approximately 120 sq.
ft. in size with sufficient window
space to provide max. supervision
of the lobby, lounge and social hall
gymnasium.
• In it atleast three wall should have
window.
REST ROOM
• Rest room facilities should be designed to serve both indoor and outdoor areas. Provision should be made for direct
access from exterior of the building at a point adjacent to such activities area.
• Rest room should include multipurpose hall unit, combining automatic towel and soap dispensers, mirror and shelf and
a combination paper-towel dispensers and waste receptacle.
• These units should be recessed in the wall in rest room.
kITCHEN
Need has a free floor at least 54ft. In wide.
The kitchen should be located near the gymnasium, banquet hall.
Adequate storage space, cabinets, electrical outlets, such appliances like refrigerator, dishwasher, exhaust fans etc.
EQUIPMENT STORAGE ROOM
Provision made for storing apparatus and equipment. There should be an opening 6ft. Wide with louvered flush door b/w
the gymnasium and halls.
This will permit passage most bulky equipment. The min. size of the room approx. 250sq. Ft.
MAINTENANCE STORAGE ROOM
• The maintenance storage room varies in size depending upon the adjacent outdoor space and the size of the building.
• The room ordinary located on the ground floor, adjacent to the outdoor areas.

ABOUT GYMKHANA CLUB
• It has always been felt that town planning does not get completed by just giving plots. Being aware of
its social responsibilities, HUDA has also planned various services to be brought in its planned sectors
like community center, parks, health care facilities and recreational facilities. Such type of facilities
have been created both localized for the sectors and integrated at the town level activities.
• For the town level activities, HUDA has already commissioned an Open Air Theater, well planned and
properly landscaped Town Park with musical fountains spreading over 30 acres of land, a Sports
Complex etc.
• The Huda Gymkhana Club, Faridabad has been built on 3.5 acres plot at the institutional area in
sector 15-A, Faridabad
FACILITIES
Following facilities are available for
use in the Club:-
 Air-conditioned, multi-cuisine
Restaurant with a sitting capacity of
about 150 persons.
Bar with sitting capacity of about 60
persons.

These facilities shall be
modified from time to time.
Sport (or sports) is all forms of usually competitive physical
activity which, through casual or organised participation, aim to
use, maintain or improve physical ability and skills while providing
entertainment to participants
Life at our club is an exhilarating journey of delight and joy.
And this is true for all those involved here; the members,
guests, staff and trainers.
Adding value to our members’ experience by way of
interesting activities, events and workshops touching every
members’ lives. The spacious and luxurious environment that
enables everyone to relax and unwind.
CORPORATE MEMBER means a Limited
Company or Autonomous body or Corporation
or such other Institution or Public body (to be
termed as Corporate body) as may be admitted
as such, to membership of the Club
PERMANENT MEMBERS:
• (A)HUDA Plot/Flat Holders :
• The HUDA plot/flat Holders shall consist
at least 50% of the Permanent Members.
• one time entrance fee in ` 50,000/-
which shall be non refundable.
Non HUDA Plot/Flat Holders :
The one time entrance fee of the non HUDA plot/flat
holders shall be ` 1,50,000/- (non refundable)
TEMPORARY MEMBERS / Officers :
Class-I Officers of HUDA and all of the
departments, Corporation and Boards of
Government of Haryana/ Central Govt.
posted at Faridabad shall be entitled to
become Temporary Members of the Club
during the period they are posted at
Faridabad.
DEFINITION OF MEMBERS :
Only such Members as are or shall from time to time
become Members of the Clubs and who shall sign and
lodge with the General Secretary, a declaration in the
form prescribed, shall be deemed to be Members of
the Club.

  • 1. RESIDENTIAL WELFARE ASSOCIATION OFFICE CUM CLUB HOUSE SUBMITTED BY NAME-NEERU AND APRAJEETA B,ARCH-4TH SEM,2ND YEAR R.T.I.A.D ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
  • 2. WHAT IS WELFARE? Health, happiness, prosperity, and well-being in general. • Welfare work plans or work to better thesocial or economic conditions of various underprivileged groups. • financial and other assistance given to people is need welfare services. WHAT IS ASSOCIATION? A formal organization of people or groups of people
  • 3. SOME IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CLUB HOUSE • Reception • Restaurant/kitchen • Art and Crafts shop rooms • Library • Gymnasium • Swimming pool • Multipurpose room • Games room • Store room • Office(administration) • Office (staff) • Meeting room • Rest room • Lounge and lobby • Equipment storage room • Maintenance storage room • Wash rooms • Social/common hall • Bar • Photography room • Open games court • Locker room • Guard room • Electrical room • Water supply service room • Open areas/ attractive landscaping
  • 4. SOCIAL HALL GYMNASIUM • To obtain max. benefits from social hall gymnasium, this facility is ordinary used for a variety of social activities, such as folk, square and social dancing, banquets and roller skating, in addition to basketball, and other forms of athletics. • The size of social hall gymnasium should be atleast 90 by 100 ft. min. ht. 22 ft. • This will be well permit a basketball court of 50 by 84 ft. seating approximately 325 spectators. • There should be no windows. MULTIPURPOSE HALL The multipurpose hall should be designed to accommodate such activities as general meeting, social recreation, active table games, dancing, dramatics, orchestra practice, concerts and banquets. The area of this room should be approximately 2,000 to 3,000 ft. It should be rectangular in shape. Its min. width 40ft. The min. ceiling ht. should be atleast 16ft.
  • 5. DRESSING AND LOCKER ROOM • A room for the purpose of changing clothes is necessary and should be in close proximity to the social hall gymnasium STORAGE AREA • One of the most common error in any type of buildings is the lack of sufficient storage space for the equipments, maintenance and custodial purposes. ART AND CRAFT ROOM A separate art and craft room are desirable however if this is not possible, then atleast one club room should be equipped for crafts. Ample storage cabinets, closets or lockers should be included for the safe storage of craft materials CUSTODIAL STORAGE ROOM A supply closets equipped with the slop sink and space for mops, pails, brooms and cleaning supplies should be centrally located on each floor level.
  • 6. LOUNGE AND LOBBY • The lobby of the building is the space just inside the entrance. • The lounge should open off lobby, and is possible should be close to the central office and to the multipurpose room and/or social hall gymnasium. • The lounge and lobby are often combined into one room when they combined it is suggested the size of lobby and lounge be about 600 to 800 sq. ft. with attractive lighting. GAMES ROOM The game room approximately 30 by 64 ft. in size is designed for a variety of games, including billiards and table tennis. In planning this room sufficient storage space should be provided for various items of game equipment and supplies to be used. PHOTOGRAPHY ROOM • A special room can be provided and equipped as a dark room. Ventilation should be provided through the use of light proof ventilators DIRECTOR’S OFFICE • An office of approximately 120 sq. ft. in size with sufficient window space to provide max. supervision of the lobby, lounge and social hall gymnasium. • In it atleast three wall should have window.
  • 7. REST ROOM • Rest room facilities should be designed to serve both indoor and outdoor areas. Provision should be made for direct access from exterior of the building at a point adjacent to such activities area. • Rest room should include multipurpose hall unit, combining automatic towel and soap dispensers, mirror and shelf and a combination paper-towel dispensers and waste receptacle. • These units should be recessed in the wall in rest room. kITCHEN Need has a free floor at least 54ft. In wide. The kitchen should be located near the gymnasium, banquet hall. Adequate storage space, cabinets, electrical outlets, such appliances like refrigerator, dishwasher, exhaust fans etc. EQUIPMENT STORAGE ROOM Provision made for storing apparatus and equipment. There should be an opening 6ft. Wide with louvered flush door b/w the gymnasium and halls. This will permit passage most bulky equipment. The min. size of the room approx. 250sq. Ft.
  • 8. MAINTENANCE STORAGE ROOM • The maintenance storage room varies in size depending upon the adjacent outdoor space and the size of the building. • The room ordinary located on the ground floor, adjacent to the outdoor areas.

  • 12. ABOUT GYMKHANA CLUB • It has always been felt that town planning does not get completed by just giving plots. Being aware of its social responsibilities, HUDA has also planned various services to be brought in its planned sectors like community center, parks, health care facilities and recreational facilities. Such type of facilities have been created both localized for the sectors and integrated at the town level activities. • For the town level activities, HUDA has already commissioned an Open Air Theater, well planned and properly landscaped Town Park with musical fountains spreading over 30 acres of land, a Sports Complex etc. • The Huda Gymkhana Club, Faridabad has been built on 3.5 acres plot at the institutional area in sector 15-A, Faridabad
  • 13. FACILITIES Following facilities are available for use in the Club:-  Air-conditioned, multi-cuisine Restaurant with a sitting capacity of about 150 persons. Bar with sitting capacity of about 60 persons. Swimming Pool Squash Board Billiard Table Tennis Card Room Flexi Tennis Court Other Indoor Facilities Health Club  Skating Ring These facilities shall be modified from time to time. Sport (or sports) is all forms of usually competitive physical activity which, through casual or organised participation, aim to use, maintain or improve physical ability and skills while providing entertainment to participants Life at our club is an exhilarating journey of delight and joy. And this is true for all those involved here; the members, guests, staff and trainers. Adding value to our members’ experience by way of interesting activities, events and workshops touching every members’ lives. The spacious and luxurious environment that enables everyone to relax and unwind.
  • 14. CORPORATE MEMBER means a Limited Company or Autonomous body or Corporation or such other Institution or Public body (to be termed as Corporate body) as may be admitted as such, to membership of the Club PERMANENT MEMBERS: • (A)HUDA Plot/Flat Holders : • The HUDA plot/flat Holders shall consist at least 50% of the Permanent Members. • one time entrance fee in ` 50,000/- which shall be non refundable. Non HUDA Plot/Flat Holders : The one time entrance fee of the non HUDA plot/flat holders shall be ` 1,50,000/- (non refundable) TEMPORARY MEMBERS / Officers : Class-I Officers of HUDA and all of the departments, Corporation and Boards of Government of Haryana/ Central Govt. posted at Faridabad shall be entitled to become Temporary Members of the Club during the period they are posted at Faridabad. DEFINITION OF MEMBERS : Only such Members as are or shall from time to time become Members of the Clubs and who shall sign and lodge with the General Secretary, a declaration in the form prescribed, shall be deemed to be Members of the Club. REGISTER AND CLASSIFICATION OF MEMBERS The Society/Club shall keep an up to date register of all types of Members.
