The vision was for a user-generated, more interactive model of the internet.
This evolution is referred to as Web 2.0.
What is Web 2.0? Web 2.0 involves the user.
In the Web 2.0 model, the general user contributes to the content.
The Internet becomes more of a  conversation  in which the public can create, update, organize, share, and critique the content on-line.
