Good Way To Start A Compare And Contrast
Essay
Writing an essay on the topic "Good Way To Start A Compare And Contrast Essay" can be a
challenging task, as it requires a thoughtful approach to effectively introduce and set the tone for
the comparative analysis that follows. The difficulty lies in crafting an engaging and compelling
opening that captures the reader's attention while clearly signaling the intent of the essay.
One must carefully consider the subject matter, identifying key points of comparison and
contrast, and strategize on how best to present them in the introduction. It involves a delicate
balance between providing enough context to make the essay accessible and maintaining an
element of intrigue that encourages readers to delve further into the comparative exploration.
Moreover, the challenge is heightened by the need to avoid clichГ©s or generic openings that
may not sufficiently differentiate the essay from others on similar topics. Crafting a unique and
original start that reflects the specific nuances of the subjects being compared can be time-
consuming and demanding.
Additionally, there's the aspect of ensuring a smooth transition from the introduction to the body
of the essay. The introductory paragraphs should seamlessly lead into the main arguments and
comparisons, providing a roadmap for the reader without giving away too much.
In conclusion, tackling an essay on the topic of starting a compare and contrast essay is a task
that demands careful consideration of content, creativity, and structure. It involves the challenge
of creating an introduction that not only piques the reader's interest but also sets the stage for a
comprehensive exploration of the subjects in question.
For those seeking assistance with such essays or similar academic tasks, it's worth noting that

Essay On Girls Golf
The 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil offered golf as a competitive
sport for the first time since the 1904 Summer Olympics in St. Louis, Missouri. Both
men and women were allowed to compete.
As golf continues to make advances in the world, Steilacoom High School follows in
pursuit. While boys golf has had an established team at Steilacoom for the last
decade, the same cannot be said for girls golf. However, the new school year brings
new change, and with that, a newly established girls golf team.
Prior to the 2015 2016 school year, Steilacoom had a small girls golf team
comprised of six or more girls. As those girls graduated, they left an unmotivated and
uninspired group in their wake. When the 2015 2016 school year came around, there
were not enough girls willing to try out to even form a team. Sophomore Ari Oranga

Freshman Isabella Byers is leading the way. She said, I have big goals for both
myself and my team this year. Byers picked up the sport from her dad about 5 years
ago and has not looked back. She added, Golf has always come naturally to me. I
really understand it and enjoy it.
Despite a surge of interest in girls golf, many students are still hesitant to try out.
Sophomore Olivia Woo said, I don t know enough about golf. Even if i wanted to
try out, I probably wouldn t, since the only experience I have is Wii Golf. Most girls
had similar responses. Their lack of knowledge about golf keeps them from pursuing
the sport.
Another reason many high school girls are shying away is the fact that girls golf is
not a big, established team. Unlike the camaraderie in soccer or volleyball, the girls
golf team is quiet and relatively unknown. Sophomore Yun Yung Jeonge said, I feel
like the team aspect is not there. It is more of an individual sport. I don t know much
about it, but it doesn t sound much

Domestic Violence In Greenville County
Greenville County is growing faster than any other communities in South Carolina
and with over 22% of the population estimated to be over the age of 65 by 2017 and
nearly twice as many births as deaths in the county, Greenville County can expect to
encounter additional health challenges from its rapidly increasing and aging
population. Deaths from heart disease and cancer make nearly half of total deaths in
the county and affect men and women almost equally. From comparative data, it
appears that Greenville County is healthier on average than the state of South
Carolina or the nation as a whole, but the prevalence of obesity and the corresponding
health conditions indicate that there is room for a great deal of improvement in health.

In 2012, there were 3,024 domestic simple assaults reported, 846 domestic
aggravated assaults, 183 victims of domestic sexual violence, and 8 domestic
homicides in Greenville County alone (The Rule of Thumb: A Five Year Overview
of Domestic Violence in South Carolina, 2014). Domestic violence can happen to
anyone, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, income, or other
factors, but most cases are never even reported. Domestic violence victims face high
rates of depression, sleep disturbances, anxiety, and emotional distress and costs more
than $37 billion a year in law enforcement, legal work, and medical and mental health
treatment. Greenville County currently has several organizations that are trying to
help combat these statistics. Safe Harbor provides free and confidential information
and help to victims of domestic violence. Their services include emergency shelter,
legal assistance, a 24 hour crisis line, support groups, and community education. The
organization, Women Reaching Out, also provides shelter for women in crisis, as
well as counseling, work/study programs, life skills classes, and job training to help
women become self sufficient. Compass of Carolina is a nonprofit counseling center

Essay On What Did Jackson Do For The Common Man
Presidents like Jackson represent a long line of politicians asserting their policies
benefit the average american. Were the interests of the common man truly
represented under Jackson? Why or why not? Include examples. What did Jackson
do for the common man? Jackson s journey prior to becoming president, and during
the time served by President Adams, included him becoming favorable to the new
members elected to congress in 1826, as well as the Vice President Calhoun and as
well as the Albany Regency in New York and two editors who worked in the west to
mobilize the opposition of Henry Clay and his American System which included and
advocated government encouragement of protective tariffs and federally funded
improvements. Jackson focused on tariffs as the topic was the main concern of the
Northerners with the exception of the southerners. Jackson focused on obtaining
votes from the southerners who did not have any experience with tariffs. Although he
was for higher tariffs he explained to them that he did not oppose the tariffs as long

grew up in the backwoods, he served in the military, and even his lack of education
was used to compare Jackson to the common folk; he was very wealthy with a
substantial fortune in land and slaves. Jackson also was in support of removing the
indians from the Gulf states and this is what his campaign focused on. He won the
majority vote in the south by not discussing his opinions on banks, tariffs, and
improvements. The south was interested in the government backing in the removal of

Nicotinell Advertisement Analysis
Smoking is one of the most controversial topics in the world, the cigarette while
being popular has many negative side effects to people s health. Many companies
have made different ads to make people stop smoking, let s take a look at an
advertisement made by Nicotinell to combat smoking and help smokers quit.
From the first look at the advertisement you see an old woman probably between 70
and 80 years old, leaning over to try to light her cigarette. Her hair is a cloudy white
that is lifeless and dull as a piece of string, while her skin has lost all of its glean and
shine. Her skin is riddled with wrinkles and blotches, the blotches are black which
could be necrosis and may give a sign of what the old lady lungs could be like inside
her. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Below the cake there is white bold capitalized letters saying Smoking causes
premature aging which explains what may have happened to the lady. Then in
bottom right corner there is a blue box advertising the product, in the box there are
some words reading Helps you stop smoking . The target audience of this
advertisement are any individuals 18 and above years of age of any gender who
smoke, but more specifically the ad is geared towards women that smoke because
they showed a woman who is 42 but looks like she is 70. In today s age many
women want to retain their beauty for as long as they can. The author chose this
picture specifically for his ad because it illustrates what people today don t want and
that is that they don t want to grow older faster. The author s purpose of the ad is to
persuade anyone who sees the ad to quit smoking and warn people about the dangers
of smoking. The author shows their product alongside the picture because they want
the audience to quit and think that only their product can help them quit. Aside from
the clear picture that we can see from the ad if you think rhetorically you can see that
the author is using ethos, pathos to subliminally persuade you to follow the
A case study of spinal cord injury

A Case of Spinal Cord Injury
1.Describe the functional anatomy of the spinal cord using the following terms:
white matter, gray matter, tracts, roots and spinal nerves. The spinal cord consists of
a superficial White matter and a deep Gray matter. The white matter consists of
myelinated axons, which form nerve tracts and the Gray matter consists of neuron cell
bodies, dendrites and axons. The white matter in each half of the spinal cord is
organized into ventral, dorsal and lateral columns. Each column is subdivided into
tracts also called pathways. A collection of axon inside the CNS is called a tract but
outside the CNS it is called a nerve. Spinal nerves arise ... Show more content on

Quadriplegia is paralysis to some degree in all four limbs. In this type of paralysis,
the abdominal and chest muscles can also be affected, resulting in difficulty
breathing, coughing, or clearing the chest. 5.Define the terms dermatome and
myotome and explain how each relates to SCI. Spinal nerves have motor fibers and
sensory fibers. The motor fibers innervate certain muscles, while the sensory fibers
innervate certain areas of skin. A skin area innervated by the sensory fibers of a
single nerve root is known as a dermatome. A group of muscles primarily innervated
by the motor fibers of a single nerve root is known as a myotome. Myotomes are
necessary for proper motor functioning; making it possible to bend the knee,
straighten the elbow, flex fingers, and manipulate other muscle groups. Nerve fibers
allowing for the sensation of touch or feeling pain to a corresponding sensory
sector of the skin are dermatomes. These nerves originate from the spine and
therefore can be useful in spinal injuries to evaluate the level of deficit. Pain, lack
of sensation, or abnormal functioning of dermatomes can help pinpoint spinal nerve
damage. Each myotome (muscle) and dermatome (region of skin) of the body is
supplied by a particular level or section of the spinal cord and by its corresponding
spinal nerve. There are eight cervical nerves, twelve thoracic nerves, five

The Legacy Of The Clinton Foundation
Groucho Marx once said that Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it
everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedies
(Brainyquote.) As much as it is painful to admit to, Marx has summed up the
problem in American politics accurately. People know there is a problem.
However, they do not know how to fix it properly. That, in turn, leads us to letting
the higher up officials take care of it, and not all of them are good people. Just
look at what happened in Haiti, for example. The Haitians had a problem and they
asked for help, but we sent them the wrong people to do so. Now some may try to
argue, but the truth is: though the Clinton Foundation has put up a facade as Haiti
s number one supporter, it has, in reality, added more destruction on top of their
crisis. What Happened In 2010, a gigantic earthquake reaching a 7.0 range shook
Haiti. Now Haiti may not have been a huge area, but it was overpopulated... which
[as a result] was a factor in the large number of people killed and left several more
left homeless and injured (Wilentz). Of course, this sort of tragedy did not go
unknown throughout the world and several different cooperations from different
countries fled to Haiti; offering to lend a helping hand. One group, who broadcast
themselves to be the main helpers to this case was the Clinton Foundation. At sight of
this, the Haitians were initially relieved. They believed that things were finally
starting to look up.

My Reflection
Dobson s (2004) book relates to my own personal life episode of receiving
spankings during my childhood. The personal life episode of receiving a spanking
that comes to mind is when I was about six years old. It was a Saturday evening and
my mom, brother, sister, and I were coming home from spending the day at my
grandmother s house. My mother stopped in Florence, SC at the Burger Kingto get all
of us something to eat on the way home. I remember my mother asking each of us
what we wanted to eat. I remember my brother and sister saying that they wanted a
cheeseburger and fries, while my response was I want a hamburgerwith cheese. My
mother went to the drive thru and placed the order of four cheeseburger and four
fries. I remember yelling at the top of my lungs that I do not eat cheeseburgers; I
only eat hamburger with cheese. My mother told me to stop yelling and tried to
explain to me that a cheeseburger was the same thing as a hamburger with cheese.
I proceeded to yell some more and telling her that I was not going to eat the
cheeseburger, because that was not what I wanted and that she should of order
what I wanted. When my mother gave me my food I took it and throw the burger
down on the floorboard of the car and told her to order me what I wanted and that
she could eat this cheeseburger because I was not eating it. My mother told me to
pick up the burger and that I was going to eat it and that if I did not stop acting the
way I was then I was going to get a spanking.

Analyzing Woodrow Wilson s Fourteen Points
The Fourteen Points was a set of principles intended to peaceably resolve World
War One. They were first presented by Woodrow Wilson on January 8, 1918 to the
United States Congress. The leaders of the Allied countries were skeptical that
Wilson s points were too idealistic. This draws the need to evaluate if the points
were truly idealistic, or if the Allied leaders were simply too cynical. The points may
be divided into three sections, one concerning international diplomacy, one regarding
the evacuation of occupied territories, and a final section concerning the League of
Nations. Some of the points presented were too idealistic, while other points were
completely reasonable. The section concerning the evacuation of occupied territories,
Arsenic Contamination
Arsenic is an invisible killer that many people may be drinking as I write this
article. It was such a problem for the United States, that in 2001, the US
Environmental Protection Agency had to lower the maximum level of arsenic
allowed in drinking water from 50 micrograms per liter (ug/L) to 10 micrograms per
liter (ug/Liter) (Ryker, 2001). Despite this change in policy, this issue of arsenic
contamination continues, and is even more widespread in many more places outside
of the United States. Unlike the U.S., underdeveloped countries like India, Cambodia,
and Bangladesh cannot rely on the usual testing s more developed countries are
accustomed to. For example, a study in Bangladesh (2009) showed 13% (1,883) of
their findings (14,492 samples) had an arsenic concentration that exceeded 50 ug
/Liters (Rodrigues et al, 2016). The old maximum stated by EPA back in 2001.

covers the calmness. The brown colour is the colour of confidence or a stabilizing
colour. It means well being and preserving. The colours are created to show us the
different mind or physical state the two individuals are in. The man is depressed
and tired. The woman is on top of the man. She acts preserving and keeps the man
on his feet. The bright colours can be seen in the house and trees behind them. On
the right we see a house in clear red and the trees is almost a sort of unnatural

diagonal lines we can spot from the roof. The vertical lines are seen in the stitching
of the man clothes. We can also see the vertical lines in the woman and the man

What Is The Role Of Fashion In The 1970 s
The turbulent 1960s in American helped to facilitate a cultural shift away from the
conformity of the 1950s and prior decades. Major events included the assignations
of President Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King; the passing of
major civil rights legislation; the ongoing Vietnam War and associated protests; and
America putting a man on the moon. The cultural shift that was happening during
this decade will be explored through the lifestyle topics of fads, religion and food.
Nearly every aspect of this revolutionary decade, from the civil rights movement to
the space race, was reflected in the popular fads of the day (Rothman). Fashion in
women s clothing was presented in extremes during this period of exploration: the

bishops from 116 countries produced 16 documents to change the way the faith

History And Evolution Of The Game
Football History and Evolution Aspects of the game can be traced back to the
early second and third century BC in China. Military manuals at the time describe
an exercise called Tsu Chu, in which players used a leather ball filled with feathers
and hair. The aim of the game was to get the ball into a small net fixed on to
bamboo canes while attempting the opposing team from doing the same to their
net. Variations of the game are also documented in Egyptian and Greek society
(History Channel, 2013) The main rules that make you modern day football we
established in England 1854, the standard dimensions of the ball we later agreed
in 1863 and finally the duration of the game was set in 1866.(FIFA). The first
football competition in the word, the FA cup was established in 1872 and
involved 50 teams. The first international game of football was played between
England and Scotland in 1872. The game spread fairly rapidly across the world
from then on with FIFA being established in 1904 with 7 founding member
countries. The first world cup was held in 1930. By 2007 there were 207 member
countries part of FIFA representing almost every country in the world. (FIFA, 2016)
The use of technology on the refereeing of the game has been minute as it is feared
it would not be 100% reliable and slow down the game. However recently goal line
technology has been introduced to make sure the ball has crossed the line before a
goal can be awarded. On the playing side of the game new technology

In patients with symptomatic chronic HF who do not tolerate ACE inhibitors,
angiotensin II type I receptor blockers (ARBs) can be used as an alternative to
improve morbidity and mortality. However, the higher rate of hypotension, renal
dysfunction, and hyperkalaemia with such a combination therapy warrants close
monitoring of these parameters. As patients with end stage heart failure frequently
show signs of fluid retention or have a history of such, inhibitors of the renin
angiotensin system should be co administered with diuretics most commonly loop
diuretics, which usually leads to rapid symptomatic improvement of dyspnea and
exercise tolerance while lacking significant effects on survival. In addition to standard
treatment with ACE inhibitors and diuretics, patients with symptomatic stable
systolic heart failure should be treated with b adrenergic receptor blockers unless
there are contraindications. Additionally aldosterone receptor antagonists are
recommended in addition to ACE inhibitors, b adrenergic receptor blockers, and
diuretics, unless contraindicated.
Examples Of Cultural Relativist
Introduction
This journal chosen is Cultural Relativist and Feminist Critiques of International
Human Rights Friends or Foes? By Oonagh Reitman (1997) discuss about the
similarities between two critiques of international human rights, Cultural Relativist
and Feminist. The journal highlights comparing the Cultural Relativist and Feminist
of Human Rights. In further, we can see these critiques, the Cultural Relativist and the
Feminist have come to oppose each other world of women s international rights.
In the cultural relativist critique, the critique is made of the claim that human rights
are universal, that human rights are those held simply by virtue of being human and
whose substance, form and interpretation are not subject to variations in culture. But,
in the cultural relativist reject this claim, because cultural relativist claim that the

Arizona State University Research Paper
The Challenges of My University Life I was very excited to study academic skills
at Arizona State University, being an international student. There must be some
problems to face and through many different cases that I gradually found the way.
When I have been America, I just think United States was similar to my country.
However, it was not easy to learn academic knowledge at the university in USA.
Therefore, I would provide three of my problems I have faced, and how I dealt with
them. The first time in my university life was in dormitory, as we know, it was
extremely hard to talk with native students fluently. Thus, I just used to play
computer games to hide our embarrassments. In somedays, my room mates saw I
was playing computer games. Very coincidentally, they also like playing games very
much. We started to talk with each other and we became friendlier. I also talk with
his friends in skype, and it made my speaking improve fast. Then I knew my
roommate like to dance, and I learned more information from him. For him, I
searched on the internet about dancing videos. The breaking dance made me crazy, I
found my love I thought. Hence, if international students wanted to find a good
relationship with foreign people. We should find their interests and share with our
interests to let them know more about yourself.... Show more content on

a short time. In my country, I can do anything I want because I know the
environment in my country. Nevertheless, in United States, I even did not know
the surroundings there. So I was very confused what should I do in my spare time.
In my opinion, we can let local people introduce a good places to travel. I can also

Auschwitz Concentration Camp
Auschwitz was a death and labor concentration camp during World war II. It was
founded in April, 1940 by Hitler and the SS, and located in Poland. The camp was
extremely violent, murderous, and an evil place. It was the home to the murder of
1.5 million Jews. Sadly it had the most deaths of any concentration camp ever. It
was first being used to hold Polish political prisoners, people who spoke out against
Hitler after the Germans took over Poland starting World War II. The whole area
consisted of three total camps over the period from its founding to liberation in
1945 near the end of WWII. It consisted of Auschwitz I, (The original prisoner
holding camp,) Auschwitz II, (a labor/extermination camp founded in 1941,) and
Auschwitz III, (a labor camp to staff a chemical factory known as IG Farben.) It also
contained 36 other sub camps. The camp was liberated by the advancing Russian
forces on January 27th, 1945. The Russians expected a huge fight, knowing it was the
worst concentration camp, but to their surprise, the Nazis had evacuated the camp.
They took as many prisoners as they could on death marches to other holding camps.

They saw 600 corpses rotting, and 7,500 barely surviving prisoners either starving,

ever have to bear what these Russian soldiers saw and had to deal with. Since the
camp was so large, it took four divisions to liberate the entire area. These divisions
included the 322nd Rifle Division, 100th Rifle Division, 286th Rifle Division, and
107th Motor Rifle Division of the Russian Army, also know as the Red Army.
Because the Russians were focusing their press on the betrayal of Hitler s alliance

Analysis Of Beuys s The Pursuit Of A Social Art
Beuys work revolved around an interaction with his audience in the pursuit of a
social art. Beuys defined social sculpture as how we mould and shape the world in
which we live. This is not too dissimilar from Lefebvre nations of social space. It is
within this context which he makes his famous claim, everyone is an artist. Here he
envisioned an art form, in which society could be regarded as one great work of art,
(an interpretation of the Wagnerian Gesamtkunstwerk) to which each person can
contribute creatively. He viewed the art he made as being a stimulant for the
transformation of the idea of sculpture. They should provoke thoughts about what
sculpture can be and how the concept of sculpting can be extended to the invisible...

It was during the 1960s that Beuys theoretical thought about the social, cultural
and political function of art manifested in to a physical work. Perhaps one of his
most seminal works, 7000 oaks, exemplified his belief that art could take on a
form which was defined as both interdisciplinary and participatory. Beuys placed a
pile of stones in the town Kassel, Germany. From above one could see that this pile
of stones created an arrow, which pointed toward a single oak tree. He stated that the
stones should not be moved unless an oak tree was planted in the new location of the
stone, over the course of several years 7,000 oak trees were then planted by people of
the town. R
This notion of a social, participatory art form can also be seen in the writing of
Nicolas Bourriaud, who wrote why wouldn t the meaning of a work have as much to
do with the use one makes of it as with the artists intentions for it. With both social
sculpture and architecture, as with physical architecture, a dialogue exists between
use and structure. To a certain degree structure determines use and yet use also effects
structure. Use is both constructive and destructive, it manipulates and transforms
object to its needs. Contemplation the way in which art would traditionally be
experienced, is neither constructive or

math. EAI immerses students directly in problems that are delivered in a
combination of multimedia and hands on contexts (Bottge et al. 2007). EAI contains
three main parts, probing questions by the teachers to guide student understanding,
students working together in small groups to discuss and find solutions to problems,
and explicit instruction on skills and concepts by the teachers as the students need

the other group received instruction using the teachers typical methods. A pre test was
administered to both groups to gain a baseline of math experience and knowledge.
The math instruction using the EAI method used a video anchor to enhance
instruction. The use of technology in EAI provides students with learning disabilities
access to a wide range of math tasks that previously were unattainable due to learning
deficits (Maccini Strickland, 2010). The video gave students a visual representation
of the types of math problems they were working
Similarities Between Egypt And Babylon
The Kingdoms of Egypt and Babylon are arguably two of the most recognized and
taught about kingdoms of the ancient world. Although, both kingdoms played major
roles in biblical times and are written about extensively in the bible, this paper does
not use the bible as part of the research process, simply due to the fact that outside of
the religionof Christianity, the bible is thought of as an historical book filled with
fables and mythology. The research reflected in this paper shows the similarities of
the Egyptians and Babylonians in religious practices, social strata, and economies.
The economies of both Egypt and Babylonare similar in that both kingdoms sit on
the bank of a mighty river. There are also a great many similarities in religion, both
kingdoms built temples, worshiped mythical gods, and offered sacrifices to the gods.
The social structure of Egypt and Babylon are nearly identical, being comprised of a

Advanced Cutting Materials Ceramic cutting tools have been around for over 100
years. The most common materials used prior to this were iron and steel. These
metals are effective in cutting but have limitations that ceramics do not. There are
many different types of materials used in the production of ceramic based cutting
tools. The production of ceramics have seen various advancements since its birth,
and continues to be more dependable as new technologies are applied to lower cost
and boost efficiency in development. Advanced cutting ceramics is a $30 million
(US) industry per the Department of Energy and has seen increased growth in the last
10 years. Alumina (гЂ–AlгЂ—_2 O_3) and Silicon Nitride (гЂ–SiгЂ—_3 N_4) are
most commonly found in a ceramic cutting material. Their attributes differ for their
own specific purpose, but they all have the same core characteristics. They all
demonstrate elevated hardness, strength, and thermal conductivity. Thermal
conductivity is one of the main advantages in using ceramics over other materials.
Ceramics can withstand temperatures over 4000℉ in its operation, while Carbide
can only reach 1600℉. Cutting materials at this heat allows for the material being
cut to be softened, allowing for a smoother, easier pass. These high temperatures are
unattainable for carbide tools because they exceed its melting point. Ideal machining
temperatures (e.g., 2200В°F for nickel alloys) can be accommodated by
Deborah Tannen There Is No Unmarked Woman
There is something subtle about attitudes toward women, something that many
people act in accordance to but are only subconsciously aware of. It is the constant
judgment that women face, and it is also something Deborah Tannen noticed while
sitting in an ordinary meeting one day. During that meeting, she found herself
noticing only the females of the room, not the men. Tannen then realized that it was
because The men s styles were unmarked (Tannen 389). While there are standard
hairstyles and clothing for men, there are none for women. Everything that a woman
wears is a reflection of who she is. In her piece titled There Is No Unmarked Woman,
she writes about her experience and concludes that women cannot escape judgment

In this piece, Tannen is sad and disappointed that women are still treated differently
than men are. According to Tannen, there is nothing a woman can resort to if she
does not want to be judged. That is, no woman is unmarked . For example, she
states that There is no woman s hair style that can be called standard, that says
nothing about her. The range of women s hair styles is staggering, but a woman
whose hair has no particular style is perceived as not caring about how she looks...

writing about this, Tannen comes to a startling conclusion. She finds that, even today,

Comparison Of Macbeth And Lady Macbeth
Contrast Comparison of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth
While analyzing the two main characters in Shakespeare s tragic play Macbeth,
critics have often argued about their true nature and inner coherence. Despite the
effort made, very rarely are the characters presented as their true self, without the
inclusion of psychoanalytical theories and other studies. Consequently, this essay s
primary goal is to analyze and discuss the main characteristics of the Macbeth couple
and how they relate with each other by using nothing but a careful reading of the
thoughts and actions of each of the characters and no external influence or studies
whatsoever.
The first thing that the Macbeth couple share is the malicious influence exerted on
them by the Weird Sisters. On the one hand, Macbeth is directly faced with the
witches, who tell him of his new title of Thane of Cawdor (a fact that the audience
already knows from what King Duncan said to the nobles after hearing the bleeding
captain s report) and more importantly, of his future kingship, with Banquo being

murderous thoughts that he supposes will allow him the Crown. In light of these

How Media Has Impacted Growing Up With A Measuring
Body Image
In this advertisement it shows a little girl measuring herself with a measuring tape.
By looking at this image, it already outlines that we as society relay on having the
perfect ideal women body, which is being thin and skinny. Society also implies that
valuing body image and perfection is significant that children at a very young age
are already influenced negatively growing up with a corrupted mindset. The little
girl in the photo is already measuring her waistline with a measuring tape at such a
young age. She is already feeling like she must be skinny to fit into society and is
conscious of her size, teaching her that she must look a certain way. The issue is that
in society the media has advertisements, commercials and magazines that portray
standards such as women being thin, tall and skinny. This according to the Western
countries is having the perfect body image. The media shows such unrealistic images
to consumers such as these young girls to try to appear like these ideals that are set
for them from society that potentially be harmful and unhealthy which could lead to
death because of starvation leading to possible long term health disorders such as
anorexia, bulimia nervosaand nervosa. My opinion on this issue is those who are
suffering with low self esteem shouldn t do such horrific acts like starvation or
dieting just to be accepted in society because they feel too fat or they do not meet
the societal standard of being perfect. Girls should relay on the ideal

Examples Of Sarcasm In Medea
Medea the Queen of Sarcasm
In the story Medea written by Euripides there were considerably several sarcastic
lines, especially the one stated by Medea that pronounce that she was foolish in
turning down Jason s ideal of a better life for his family. They way she ask questions
on why she was undoubtedly wrong suggests she is even more of a mastermind then
what she appears to be. Medea expressed those statements of her being selfish and
absurd, by pretending to be in Jason s shoes as well as seeing all the advantages she
has and will receive. Even though it was ultimately a long apology Jason accepted
with great apprehension of her contradictions to his ideas. In this passage Jason was
quite ignorant of not knowing Medea was being sarcastic

Synthesis and Reactivity of tert butyl Chloride via an Sn1 Reaction

Introduction/Background
Substitution reactions are important chemical processes that contribute to the
production of new compounds. Simplistically, these reactions take place through a
series of steps in which one functional group is replaced by another (March). There
are two types of nucleophilic substitution reactions, first order and second order, but
this experiment only involves the Sn1 first order reactions. Sn1 reactions are
considered unimolecular meaning that only one molecule is involved in the rate
determining step, the slowest step of the reaction which determines the overall speed
of the reaction. In contrast, Sn2 reactions are considered bimolecular, and complete
the substitution reaction in one step. The main components of these reactions are the
nucleophile and the leaving group; a nucleophile replaces the leaving group by
donating its electrons to form a new bond to the carbon (Weldegirma). For this
experiment, the nucleophiles and leaving groups of the Sn1 reactions are alkyl
halides and alcohols respectively. When a hydrogen atom is replaced by halogen in
an alkane, the resulting compound is referred to as a alkyl halide. There are certain
factors that affect both Sn1 and Sn2 reactions which include the structure of the
substrate, and the concentration and reactivity of the nucleophile (Sn2 only). If a

During the times of of the Post Romantic Era, ballet generalized sexes by casting
according to gender, sexualized the women body by enforcing male dominance in the
choreography and storytelling, and idolized the ballerina as being unattainable,
exotic, and dependent on others. When modernity arose, the practice of
individualism, community, and independency took place in artist and choreographers
in modern dance. Artists like Ruth St Denis and Josephine Baker challenged the
norms of the Post Romantic Era by creating a name for themselves through their

She took the modernity era and made the most of it for herself and her career. As
an artist, singer, dancer, and mother Baker is known as the Figure of Modernity .
She moved from the United States to France to start her career wearing revealing,
sparkling, dazzling costumes, with loads of makeup, and had a voice that wanted
to be heard. In one of her famous moments, she sings Haiti in the movie ZOU ZOU
in 1934. In this piece, she is portrayed as an exotic caged bird singing away and
wearing very limited clothing. Her amazing vocal chords sing about her desires
for love and her urges she feels. With this never being appropriate to the public,
Josephine Baker was shunned by some, like the Talented Tenth, but mostly adored
by all others. With her corky, dorky faces and outrageous performances, she really
caught the attention of audiences in Europe craving more and more of her. Baker
s self propelled success was based on the timely manner it occurred in. With the
rise of modernity, individuality, women, and modern dance, Baker was able to
become a star in the arts. Another reason she became a legend so quickly was her
ability to make people smile, laugh, and be excited about her differences; like
hairstyles, outfits, performances. In a documentary on Baker, Jean Claude Baker,
one of her adopted sons, states, Josephine Baker became the embodiment, the
personification of the funny, madness, rebellion after the war (Josephine Baker:
1926 Banana Skirt). Her practices of sexuality on stage really drew in the male
audiences, as well as the females who desired to be like her. Modern dance gave
Josephine Baker a voice on and off the stage, provided the timing and location of her
debut after the war.
Not only did modernity and modern dance provide the means to express personal
opinions and desires, it also allowed politics and dance to merge and work together.

Grade Inflation Is The Biggest Issue
Is Grade Inflation Truly The Biggest Issue? Grade inflation, the belief that students
are receiving grades that they haven t worked for and therefore don t deserve. But
what s so wrong about grade inflation? When learning about this subject we also open
the doors to learning about the multitude of other problems plaguing our educational
system that could use our attention much more than gradeinflation does. Through
gradeinflation we re able to understand problems often forgotten about and looked
over. When researching into the topic of grade inflation one begins to see a
multitude of problems arise that have been previously ignored and have been left
to continue wreaking havoc on the educational system. Mark Oppenheimer shares
a similar points of view in his article where he discussed his opinion, that grade
inflation is one of the much lesser issues and that we need to be focusing on other
things.(other things, just quote his article). His ideas are countered by the ideas of
people such as Rojstaczer who argue that grade inflation is becoming an out of
control issue that needs to be fixed (add in quotes from the book and article) In the
past colleges like Princeton and Wellesley have tried to adopt policies to help curb
grade inflation. Even though it lowered the percentages of high grades, effectively
lowering the amount of grade inflation, it came with the cost of unforeseen
consequences that affected the students and staff. In his article Rojstaczer

supplements are excellent for the most active joints such as the knee.
7.Gradual increase in pain
Arthritis pain increases suddenly but develops slowly as scientists reported. Patients
are then advised to take caution in case of any pain that occurs in any joint. This
helps to curb the arthritis as early as possible hence making it easy to handle. When
the arthritis takes control of the joint, the patient is able to report gradual increase in
pain at the knee joint, Specialist recommend instant joint pain treatment using very
effective painkillers that relief the pain.
8.Gradual muscle pull around the keel joint
It occurs while one is resting whereby you fill sharp pain run down the muscle .This
happens during the cold season whereby the doctor recommends noxicare
supplements to be taken in advance.

Essay on The Mariachi and Special Occasions
Mariachi is a lot more than just a band playing; it s a tradition that has been in
Mexico for almost two centuries and is enriched with a huge history and deep
meaning to for the Mexican culture. Mariachi music started in the nineteen century
as a way for the common people of Mexico to find a way to express their ideas and
feelings in which their ideas later become lyrics and their feelings become music.
Mariachimusic as we know it today results from the confluence of several different
influences. It originated in the Mexican state of Jalisco, in the town of Cocula, in
the 19th century. It was a way in which people were able to say what they were
feeling in a new and unique way. From the music and lyrics to the dress attire and...

Mariachi music has another side to it as well; it could be used as a way to express
ones love to someone. It participates in the rite of courtship with the serenata or
serenade. The serenta is a way of communication between a young man and a woman
who are being kept apart. In such case, the mariachi is strategically placed on the
street beneath a window as the music echoes through the streets.
As far as the lyrics of mariachi go, most are meant for entertainment and should not
really be taken too serious. It more on the humorous side and are not meant to be
taken seriously. Mariachi songs usually speak about machismo, love, betrayal, death,
politics, revolutionary heroes and even animals. The lyrics really do not matter it is
more of the music itself and the way all the different instruments and elements come
together to create such different but interesting and beautiful sound.
The music and lyrics are a good way of helping to distinguish Mariachi music;
however another way is through the attire. What the Mariachi performers wear is a
huge part of the entire genre. The charro suit is what brings everything together and
without it you do not get the feel of the Mariachi. The iconic charro suit
Why Is Hamlet Insane In Hamlet
The famous play by Shakespeare is Hamlet. The story fixates on Hamlet (Branagh), a
thirty year old prince of Denmark amid the twelfth century, who is grieving the
passing of his darling father Brian Blessed and the inauspicious (and, as per custom,
uncouth) wedding of his mom, Gertrude Julie Christie, to his uncle, Claudius Derek
Jacobi. Hamletsees his mom s sudden re marriage as a treachery of her union with
his dad, yet more regrettable news is yet to come. A nebulous vision, showing up
fit as a fiddle of Hamlet dad, frequents Elsinore Palace, and when Hamlet stands up
to the ghost, it cases to be the genuine soul of the late king. When Hamlet lost his
father he begin to act insane. So there was two views some of them said that hamlet
is insane by taking the ghost as an evidence, and the other opinion said he is sane.
the spirit claims: (1) The ghost says he s Hamlet s dad (it sure looks like the guy); (2)
The apparition likewise says that he was killed by his brother, who is Hamlet s uncle

There is some evidence from the play it self and critics opinions on the reality of
that ghost. In the first scene of the ghost he appears to two soldiers Marcellus, and
Barnardo, also to Hamlet friend Horatio, who is clever and credible person. The
ghost appears to hamlet many times also, these actualities eliminate what it said that
the ghost is made up from hamlet imagination, because they said he is insane. Here
is one of the critics opinion on Hamlet sanity. There need he no doubt, then, that
Hamlet s madness was really feigned. He saw much to be gained by it, and to this
end he did many things that the persons of the drama must construe as madness. His
avowed intention was to throw them off the track. To understand the madness as real
is to make of the play a mad house tragedy that could have no meaning for the very
Problems with the Japanese Whaling Industry
The Japanese whaling industry has thrived and flourished since its origin. The
Japanese have depended on whales such as the blue, fin, sei, and humpback whales.
The issue at hand is that the demand for whale products and byproducts is so large
that the numbers of these types of whales has declined to near extinction levels.
Without any care to the harm being done, the Japanese whalingindustry has not
shown any sign of remorse towards this actions little has been done by the
international community s to put an end to the elimination of these large and
peaceful creatures. There have been small groups of anti whaling conservation. The
groups have had many victories along the way by using their non traditional methods
and sometimes generating violent tension between them and the whaling ships while
in international waters.
Summary
This topic has generated research and observation in order to understand both sides
of the whaling industry in Japan. First must take a look to the history and
background of the topic. The oldest Japanese book in existence, called the Kojiki,
chronicled that the Emperor Jimmu, the first emperor of Japan, ate whale meat
(History of Japanese Whaling, 2013). Due to over 1,000 years of whaling in Japan, It
has not been an easy task for the Japanese people to ease up on this addiction to whale
products. For centuries this industry has remained strong until recently attacks by
conservation groups. The international community has created the
Ffa Creed Research Paper
I believe in the future of agriculture, with a faith born not of words but of deeds.....
E.M. Tiffany wrote the original FFA (Future Farmers of America) creed and it was
revised at the 38th and 63rd FFA National Convention, but it was adopted to the FFA
at the third national convention. There are 649,355 current members that know this
creed, but that number does not include the alumni (https://www.ffa.org/about/who
we are/our membership). FFA is just only one amazing thing you can do with
agriculture. We will be taking a look at the problems, causes, and the solutions so
that more people can know the FFA creed and can discover something that they didn
t know about them and/or the agriculture experience. Some of the problems are the
lack of knowledge, the decline of agriculture, and the lack of younger generations not
wanting anything to do with agriculture. Most people in the cities like Indianapolis,
for example don t think they can do anything with agriculture because there is not a

Now, for a hydroponics there are three ways you could do it; water culture, multi
flow, and ebb and flow. Water culture is a low cost and easy one and all you need is a
styrofoam platform, water, and plants; Multi flow is a medium cost and is kinda
hard to build and all it relies on is gravity flood plant trays with water and nutrients, a
timer, float switch to control water levels, and plants; and finally Ebb and flow and
that s an easy system too and all it takes a plant tray, tubing, water pump, nutrients,
water, and plants. Yet, for all of these you need a container or a fish tank to put them
Johnnie Walker Essay
Johnnie walker is one of the most well known and highest selling scotch whisky
brand and is enjoyed in more than 180 countries worldwide. It also represents the
idea of personal progress and achievements. The business was founded in 1820 by
John Walker and since then he never looked back. He would grow from a grocer s
own scotch whisky and progressed to becoming a global icon. Today, his brand and
the consumers are following the same forward looking perspective. The following are

Johnnie Walkers took inspirations from Woody Guthrie, the American singer
songwriter, to highlight and showcase the country s progressive values. The message
was timely and clearly focused on the anti immigrant campaign. This version of the
song was unveiled to the audience on the night before the elections. It clearly aimed
towards Trump s anti immigrant campaign. They have made the ad dramatic by
showing multicolored visuals of Americans and the tag line which could blend with
the occasion: Keep Walking America. Apparently, the ad was shot over two week

The Relationship Between Bisexuality And Its Effects On...
Bisexuality is described as having romantic or sexual attraction to both males and
females. This means that a bisexual woman can be attracted to either a man or a
woman and have a meaningful relationship with either gender. Bisexuality can be
transitional but it can also be a stable sexual orientation no different from lesbianism.
With transitional bisexualitywomen typically experience attraction towards men and
women but soon identify with either heterosexuality or lesbianism. Their
bisexuality is merely a way for them to find out who they are and what they like.
Stable bisexuality means that this is not a stage and it will not simply disappear
with age. It is a sexuality with just as much stability as lesbianism, their attraction
towards men and women will remain constant. Both types of bisexuality exist and
are experienced by real women. Stable bisexuality is the more common type and
most women who identify with it do not adopt a different sexuality with age. Simply
because a bisexual woman may marry a man does not make her heterosexual and
just because she may marry a woman does not make her a lesbian. Her sexuality
remains the same because her attraction to both genders does not change.
When concerning bisexuality and friendships there is a stigma that you cannot be a
bisexual woman and be friends with a heterosexual woman because you will be
attracted to them sexually. Typically when looking at friendships people tend to
choose friends who are similar to themselves
The Myth Of Albert Einstein
With a name synonymous to genius, Albert Einstein is undoubtedly one of the
most influential men in modern physics and philosophy of science. Who exactly is
Albert Einstein? Born in the German Empire in 1879, Albert Einstein was not
thought initially by his peers to be anything special. There is a lot of myth
surrounding Einstein s schooling with statements like Einstein failed math or
Einstein did bad in school , but these were simply myths and not much more.
Einstein did extremely well in school and did amazing in mathematics specifically
(having mastered calculus on his own at age 15). The issue was that Einstein had a
tendency to skip class and go off on his own doing personal research and discovery.
It was in this erratic method of his that caused colleagues and employers to avoid
his company and led to the developed opinion that Einstein was not destined for a
life of research and discovery. Although Einstein seeked out a position in the
sciences, nobody would take him on as an assistant nor a colleague which
ultimately led to him becoming a worker at the Swiss patent office. The prospect of
Einstein ever entering into the academic stream looked grim. He had derailed his
education and reputation. He was disregarded in the scientific community for his
poor work ethic and failure to comply with traditional scientific method. However, in
1905 at the age of 26, Einstein went on to publish four papers that changed his
academic merit entirely. March saw Einstein s
The Hartford Jurisdiction Of The Unemployment Problem
The problem I would like to solve or at best make better is the unemployment rate in
Connecticut and the amount of money, extentions, and the process to recieve
unemployment benifits in the juristiction of Connecticut over all but would want to
focus on the county of Hartford. The unemployment percentage in CT is 6.4 which is
more then the countries percentage of 5.9 but Hartford county is 11.4 and at the top
for highest unemployment in the state. This is one of the most serious, frusterating
and uncalled for economicchallenges in the past decade. Unemployment is a major
cost to the economy in individuals, the state and the overall country; In this paper I
will be addressing the Hartford jurisdiction of the unemployment problem. Federal...

The priority should be to get people back to work not just more unemployed
benefits, these benefits are just putting a Band Aid on a huge problem that needs
to be addressed and should have been address in 2008 when we were as a state not
only the Hartford district at its peak of unemployment. Throwing more money at
the problem will not fix the job situation and it will do nothing to encourage
entrepreneurs to create more jobs or help people find jobs to feed their families. It
says on the website for Connecticut department of labor that you have to engage in
an active search for work and make appropriate employer contacts in light of the
labor market, and your skills and capabilities, well how is this being recorded, how
do you know these people are actively look and putting in effort to get back in the
work force? Over 4 million Americans have been jobless for over 27 weeks or more
and with 136,500 being our own Connecticut resisdents if you are fully unemployed,
or partially unemployed and working part time you can accept unemployment
benifits, I can see why people are staying unemployed if they are getting free money
from the state chances are they aren t going to make that much working part time or
even minimune wage full time; and when those benifits run out benefits are 14 20

Examples Of Innocence In To Kill A Mockingbird
The first step in corrupting a society is the destruction of innocence. A definition for
innocence is the obliviousness and ignorance of racism and stereotypical living, and
overall hatred from humanity, as a society. In this case, it also applies to not
obtaining the knowledge of how the town of Maycomb works; and the feelings and
thought of people living in it. In To Kill a Mockingbirdby Harper Lee innocenceis
shown in many situations and characters throughout the book. One of the characters
representing the innocence, and the upholding of the story is Dill. He is very
oblivious to the whole town of Maycomb and how it operates. He is also oblivious to
the overall bad things going on in the world surrounding him, at the time. Dills
innocence,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
That old Mr. Gilmer doin him thataway, talking so hateful to him ... It was the way
he said it made me sick, plain sick. ... The way that man called him boy all the time
an sneered at him, an looked around at the jury every time he answered... It ain t
right, somehow it ain t right to do em that way. Hasn t anybody got any business
talkin like that it just makes me sick. (155 165). This quote once again not only
shows that due to Dill s innocence he sees paat other people s opinions and the
stereotypes of society. Overall showing the basic ignorance Dill has towards
society and the way they treat people different from themselves. In the end Dill
begins to become aware of his overall surrounding and how things function in the
real world, although coming to this realization he overall denies fully
comprehending the subject, and tries to find a way to deny the people of
Maycomb an ability to have an opinion on him. This is shown when it says I think I
ll be a clown when I get grown (133). This obviously shows Dill overall realization
of judgement and stereotyping, at least in the town of Maycomb. He uses his
innocence and imagination to find a way out of it, and overall make him immune to
the hate and prejudice throughout
Vanilla, Baking Soda, And Cinnamon Affect The Rate Of
Introduction: The question being investigated in this report is, How does vanilla,
baking soda, and cinnamon affect the rate of fermentation in a 5% sucrose solution?
The hypothesis is, vanilla and cinnamon will increase the rate of fermentation while
baking soda will either decrease the rate of fermentation or stay the same. The bread
goes through a process called alcoholic fermentation, in which pyruvic acid is
converted into Carbon Dioxideand alcohol. As pyruvic acids go through alcoholic
fermentation, the alcohol produced evaporates and the Carbon Dioxide is found in
the little bubbles on the top of bread after it is baked. Alcoholic fermentation will be
performed with yeast, which is what makes bread rise, in this experiment. The yeast...

Based on the data, cinnamon, vanilla, and the control group all had the same height
of bubbles at 1 cm. This shows that the cinnamon and vanilla did not increase or
decrease the rate of fermentation. This could be because the sugar in cinnamon and
vanilla are not glucose or sucrose, which means that these two ingredients could not
go through fermentation. Baking Soda spiked up at 1.75 cm because it releases
Carbon Dioxide in the presence of acids (sugar). This increased the bubbles because
the bubbles are made of Carbon Dioxide. Baking Soda
The Impact Of Telemedicine On Health, A Systematic...
Introduction
To evaluate and study the impact of telemedicine in health, a systematic literature
review was conducted. An electronic research through the University of Maryland
library was done the articles selected dated from 2000 to 2014. A total of 12 articles
was reviewed that dealt with clinical outcomes, efficacy, patient and provider
satisfaction. Telemedicineas an emerging field can greatly improve the outcomes of
healthcare thus resulting in decrease the delivery cost of healthcare. While the results
of the studies are inconclusive on some of the areas, there are some strong supports
for patient satisfaction. The literature reviews cost effectiveness, provider satisfaction,
patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Several managed care organizations were represented. All of the organizations
interviewed indicated that there is a market demand for complementary and
alternative medicine such as Telemedicine. The study showed that while cost and
clinical efficacy were important, both of these were less important than market
demand. This unexpected result show that consumer demands are actually more
important in shaping the demand for telemedicine and should be used to pursue
development of telemedicine among healthcare providers that will essentially lead to
better reimbursement from health insurance companies (Whitten and Kuwahara,
2003). Whitten and Kuwara states that payers must answer both patients need and
suppliers concerns of telemedicine cost Methods and Organization of the Report.
Qualitative reports on 12 peer reviewed articles were researched through the
University of Maryland to get information on the cost effectiveness, clinical
efficacy, individual and provider satisfaction. The 12 articles printed dates ranged
from 200 and 2014. The articles represented articles that have been published on the
topic of telemedicine subject in various areas. The review articles began with
searching the database looking for articles on telemedicine and found a possible 100
articles on the topic and were narrowed down to just a few dozen that fit the
standards the matter was searching for.

Toys R Us Case Study
Chapter 5: Summary, Recommendations, and Conclusions
Summary
This paper researched the fact that the Toys R Us Company was displaying a
weakness in financial related issues due to the lack of proper strategic planning. This
made the company susceptible to many threats in the industry s competitive
environment. The research has shown that its main competitors Walmart, Target, and
Amazon are functioning successfully in the industry while Toys R Us heads for
bankruptcy. This research emphasizes the fact that Toys R Us has not taken steps to
strategize its operations properly which resulted in a loss of money and opportunities

Mr. Brandon, CEO of Toys R Us, Inc. stated There is simply no reason to go
somewhere else our focus is kids and families every day of the year unlike some of
our competitors who only play (pun intended) a few weeks a year (2017). Another
innovative way the company has gained competitive advantage recently is by
introducing Play Labs nationwide. Play Labs is a free reality app which include
AR games and play experiences that children can play on their smartphone or
tablet devices while they are in the stores shopping. Toys R Us is now more than
just a place to shop, they have created experiences which brings there stores to life
with their interactive games that the kids highly enjoy playing (Toys R Us Inc,
2017). There are different ways how Toys R Us can reach profitability by obtaining
customers year round. The company can do this by opening new product lines. They
can focus on obtaining products that are high in demand by their competitor. They
can use their already established company popularity to obtain strong supplier
relationships for the additional products. This will supply the company with another
source of income. The next 3 years for the company should take place as soon as
possible. Toys R Us should continue with innovative solutions to gain a competitive
advantage. Toys R Us should start selling new products immediately to gain more of

Ski Lift Short Story
Over and over I went going up the same ski lift just to reach one spot in the terrain
park that mattered the most to you. I sat eager in the ski lift over and over all day
long, admiring many people doing tricks off the rails, acting like it was nothing,
and just continuing on their day. Seeing this just made me more discouraged than I
already was. Nicole just sat there, staring at the mountain coaster below us acting
like she doesn t have a care in world, meanwhile, she was filled with aggravation.
Over and over we went up and down this mountain all day through the terrain
waiting for the rails, and every time we reached them our skis would slip out from
under us leaving us on the hard wet snow. When my brother Brendan came through
and did everything so easily, it made me want to go back to our... Show more content

Argumentative Essay About My Family
Most families are happy and get along, well my family is way different than that.
My family doesn t get along with the other, we try to get along but they just seem not
to like us at all and all of this because of one fight that my uncle started with my dad.
In this fight included my dad, oldest brother, cousins, aunts and, uncles.
There was day when one of my uncles was having a party and of course invited us
to the party but my dad didn t want to go so i decided to go with one of my uncles
his name is Millo. When we had gotten there everyone was there including one of my
family s from california before this all happened i had so much love for that family
they were so kind to me. It was about six in the afternoon and they kept calling my
dad to come but he didn t want to go to the party until one of my uncles convinced
him. When he got to the party he was with my older brother and my uncle Jesus.
One hour had passed and my uncle took my dad far away from us because he had
to talk to him but we all knew something else was gonna happen that uncle had an
incident about two years ago and lost some of his memory one of my cousins
Edwin said since that day he acts like a child and want to start a fight for no reason
well that s what happened to my dad he wanted to fight my dad for no reason. Back
to my story when he went in to try and punch my dad my brother came in and
pushed my uncle to the floor. Then my brother left and so did my uncle and one of
my other uncles went towards
Mean Girls Race Analysis
One of the most powerful scenes, to me, was when Violet talks to Nobody. Many
of the things that she is going through both at school and at home are commonplace
to most girls in middle school and starting puberty. She s facing the mean girls, but
also the boy who s making racist faces at her. Presumably, this means he s doing
something with his eyes, and this immediately made me think of the jerks in middle
school that I remembered also doing this. I really liked this storyline because I feel
like, especially in entertainment and media, the issue of raceis literally black and
white, but there are many other minorities that underrepresented and mistreated. It
was interesting watching Violet essentially talk to herself, as represented by
Nobody, about how she felt about these things and to realize that while it may not
be the best situation, at least she has her brother to rely on. Another interesting
thing about their focus on race is that, of the six person cast, only one cast member
is white and not of Asian descent, and he plays the Canute, who is trying to destroy
diversity. Since it is in many ways a children s show, at the very least kid friendly, I
don t know if this casting choice was intentional to convey a message about white
male patriarchy, but it... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a kid friendly show, I could indulge in the silliness of the story line and some of
the jokes, but it had a strong enough message that I felt I left the theater with
something to think about and debate. It was relatable and really made me think
about when I was Bruce and Violet and didn t feel like I fit in. I really wish that this
was something that my parents could have taken me to when I was younger. This is
a show that I would recommend to anyone who wants to laugh but also be able to
reflect on the world around
Buddhist People View Life And The World
Whether it was the beliefs, or how their people carried themselves that attracted
you to the religion you currently believe in, something caught your attention and in
turn you got curious. People worldwide always want something to believe in, and a
sense of purpose which they have a tendency to find in one of the collections of
religion. Then the religion isn t just a believe but rather a way of life. The religion
that we are going to be exploring and know the way of their life is Buddhism. Now
whether you think of the Bodhi tree, the chubby man statue or the lotus flower when
you hear about the religion of Buddhism just know that there is so much more to this
religion then these symbols. In this essay I m going to be discussing the many... Show

Pretty much whatever you give you get in return. Another element they put strong
faith in is the thought of rebirth, which karma has a good part in. Buddhist has a
chance to be reborn into six areas. These six areas are separated into two groups one
that is looked favorably upon and one that is seem as unfortunate. The three fortunate
realms are demigods, gods (Devas), and men; while the other unfortunate ones are
animals, ghost and hell. The one realm of being born again as a human man offers
them many more opportunity to get more spiritual chances and a rarity that should
not ever be taken for granted. Next, we are going to learn about the suffering cause
and solution of the Buddhist religion. They have an essential teaching of Buddhism
called the Four Noble Truths; they are the truth of dukkha (suffering), the truth of
the cause of dukkha, the truth of the end of dukkha, and lastly the truth of the path
that leads to dukkha. They don t view this suffering as a pessimistic look but rather
a realistic look of how life is and how it plays out. They view this doctrine as a help
in order to plan with this hardship they go through and live on. Buddhist believe that
the suffering they deal with is sometimes escapable and is because of being
materialistic, craving immortality, having hatred and anger towards people etc. In
contrast they have a Noble Eightfold Path which they believe leads to the solving or
end of dukkha. The Noble

Long shifts and late nights are common when working as a nurse. There is also the
pressure of demanding patients and exposure to illness. This can add mental stress

that a difference has been made, a life has been changed. I could very well save
someone s life even. To go home everyday and know, whether they lived or die,
whether they are still sick or not, I helped someone. I made someone s day or life

Both men and women were allowed to compete. As golf continues to make advances in the world, Steilacoom High School follows in pursuit. While boys golf has had an established team at Steilacoom for the last decade, the same cannot be said for girls golf. However, the new school year brings new change, and with that, a newly established girls golf team. Prior to the 2015 2016 school year, Steilacoom had a small girls golf team comprised of six or more girls. As those girls graduated, they left an unmotivated and uninspired group in their wake. When the 2015 2016 school year came around, there were not enough girls willing to try out to even form a team. Sophomore Ari Oranga said, Every morning on the ... Byers picked up the sport from her dad about 5 years ago and has not looked back. She added, Golf has always come naturally to me. I really understand it and enjoy it. Despite a surge of interest in girls golf, many students are still hesitant to try out. Sophomore Olivia Woo said, I don t know enough about golf. Even if i wanted to try out, I probably wouldn t, since the only experience I have is Wii Golf. Most girls had similar responses. Their lack of knowledge about golf keeps them from pursuing the sport. Another reason many high school girls are shying away is the fact that girls golf is not a big, established team. Unlike the camaraderie in soccer or volleyball, the girls golf team is quiet and relatively unknown. Sophomore Yun Yung Jeonge said, I feel like the team aspect is not there. It is more of an individual sport. I don t know much about it, but it doesn t sound much

Deaths from heart disease and cancer make nearly half of total deaths in the county and affect men and women almost equally. Quadriplegia is paralysis to some degree in all four limbs. Spinal nerves have motor fibers and sensory fibers. The motor fibers innervate certain muscles, while the sensory fibers innervate certain areas of skin. A skin area innervated by the sensory fibers of a single nerve root is known as a dermatome. A group of muscles primarily innervated by the motor fibers of a single nerve root is known as a myotome. Myotomes are necessary for proper motor functioning; making it possible to bend the knee, straighten the elbow, flex fingers, and manipulate other muscle groups. Nerve fibers allowing for the sensation of touch or feeling pain to a corresponding sensory sector of the skin are dermatomes. These nerves originate from the spine and therefore can be useful in spinal injuries to evaluate the level of deficit. Pain, lack of sensation, or abnormal functioning of dermatomes can help pinpoint spinal nerve damage. Each myotome (muscle) and dermatome (region of skin) of the body is supplied by a particular level or section of the spinal cord and by its corresponding spinal nerve. • 9. The Legacy Of The Clinton Foundation Groucho Marx once said that Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedies (Brainyquote.) As much as it is painful to admit to, Marx has summed up the problem in American politics accurately. People know there is a problem. However, they do not know how to fix it properly. That, in turn, leads us to letting the higher up officials take care of it, and not all of them are good people. Just look at what happened in Haiti, for example. The Haitians had a problem and they asked for help, but we sent them the wrong people to do so. Now some may try to argue, but the truth is: though the Clinton Foundation has put up a facade as Haiti s number one supporter, it has, in reality, added more destruction on top of their crisis. What Happened In 2010, a gigantic earthquake reaching a 7.0 range shook Haiti. Now Haiti may not have been a huge area, but it was overpopulated... which [as a result] was a factor in the large number of people killed and left several more left homeless and injured (Wilentz). Of course, this sort of tragedy did not go unknown throughout the world and several different cooperations from different countries fled to Haiti; offering to lend a helping hand. One group, who broadcast themselves to be the main helpers to this case was the Clinton Foundation. At sight of this, the Haitians were initially relieved. They believed that things were finally starting to look up.

The personal life episode of receiving a spanking that comes to mind is when I was about six years old. It was a Saturday evening and my mom, brother, sister, and I were coming home from spending the day at my grandmother s house. My mother stopped in Florence, SC at the Burger Kingto get all of us something to eat on the way home. I remember my mother asking each of us what we wanted to eat. I remember my brother and sister saying that they wanted a cheeseburger and fries, while my response was I want a hamburgerwith cheese. My mother went to the drive thru and placed the order of four cheeseburger and four fries. I remember yelling at the top of my lungs that I do not eat cheeseburgers; I only eat hamburger with cheese. My mother told me to stop yelling and tried to explain to me that a cheeseburger was the same thing as a hamburger with cheese. I proceeded to yell some more and telling her that I was not going to eat the cheeseburger, because that was not what I wanted and that she should of order what I wanted. When my mother gave me my food I took it and throw the burger down on the floorboard of the car and told her to order me what I wanted and that she could eat this cheeseburger because I was not eating it. My mother told me to pick up the burger and that I was going to eat it and that if I did not stop acting the way I was then I was going to get a spanking.

I had to learn Magento by myself. Back then the old Magento forum was really slim with shady answers and I started answering questions with challenges similar to what I had to make it easier for others. Years later Magento.StackExchange came along and I shifted my focus there, mostly because the forum was more spam than useful information. I had some free time at that point to answer questions. For a lot of them, I didn t know the answer but they were interesting enough to make me dig further. That helped me learn a lot as well. They were first presented by Woodrow Wilson on January 8, 1918 to the United States Congress. The leaders of the Allied countries were skeptical that Wilson s points were too idealistic. This draws the need to evaluate if the points were truly idealistic, or if the Allied leaders were simply too cynical. The points may be divided into three sections, one concerning international diplomacy, one regarding the evacuation of occupied territories, and a final section concerning the League of Nations. Some of the points presented were too idealistic, while other points were completely reasonable. The section concerning the evacuation of occupied territories,
  • 16. Arsenic Contamination Arsenic is an invisible killer that many people may be drinking as I write this article. It was such a problem for the United States, that in 2001, the US Environmental Protection Agency had to lower the maximum level of arsenic allowed in drinking water from 50 micrograms per liter (ug/L) to 10 micrograms per liter (ug/Liter) (Ryker, 2001). Despite this change in policy, this issue of arsenic contamination continues, and is even more widespread in many more places outside of the United States. Unlike the U.S., underdeveloped countries like India, Cambodia, and Bangladesh cannot rely on the usual testing s more developed countries are accustomed to. For example, a study in Bangladesh (2009) showed 13% (1,883) of their findings (14,492 samples) had an arsenic concentration that exceeded 50 ug /Liters (Rodrigues et al, 2016). These tests showed that there was a relation between arsenic and lower neurodevelopment, with Pabna having higher levels than Sirajdikhan (Rodrigues et al,

The woman is most likely his daughter. The couple stands in front of a house styled by the Carpenter Gothic era. The sun is shining but the couple don t look like they appreciate the weather or something else . They both look very stretched in their faces. The man has a long head and his mouth is like a parenthesis on the wrong side. The woman on the other hand doesn t look straight at us but instead look to the right. She avoids us and therefore it becomes hard to figure out her thoughts. But judging by her facial expression she is sad and appears limp. II Analysis: The first... HF is considered to be a chronic condition with periods of worsening symptoms that may require medical attention. It may present acutely within just 24 hours in the form of pulmonary edema or even cardiogenic shock. To diagnose HF, three criteria need to be present: including shortness of breath at rest or during exertion and/or fatigue, signs of fluid retention such as pulmonary congestion and/or ankle swelling, and objective evidence of a decrease in myocardial performance at rest which is demonstrated using echocardiography.(1) HF is currently one of the fastest growing problems ... In patients with symptomatic chronic HF who do not tolerate ACE inhibitors, angiotensin II type I receptor blockers (ARBs) can be used as an alternative to improve morbidity and mortality. However, the higher rate of hypotension, renal dysfunction, and hyperkalaemia with such a combination therapy warrants close monitoring of these parameters. As patients with end stage heart failure frequently show signs of fluid retention or have a history of such, inhibitors of the renin angiotensin system should be co administered with diuretics most commonly loop diuretics, which usually leads to rapid symptomatic improvement of dyspnea and exercise tolerance while lacking significant effects on survival. In addition to standard treatment with ACE inhibitors and diuretics, patients with symptomatic stable systolic heart failure should be treated with b adrenergic receptor blockers unless there are contraindications. Additionally aldosterone receptor antagonists are recommended in addition to ACE inhibitors, b adrenergic receptor blockers, and diuretics, unless contraindicated.

There must be some problems to face and through many different cases that I gradually found the way. When I have been America, I just think United States was similar to my country. However, it was not easy to learn academic knowledge at the university in USA. Therefore, I would provide three of my problems I have faced, and how I dealt with them. The first time in my university life was in dormitory, as we know, it was extremely hard to talk with native students fluently. Thus, I just used to play computer games to hide our embarrassments. In somedays, my room mates saw I was playing computer games. Very coincidentally, they also like playing games very much. We started to talk with each other and we became friendlier. I also talk with his friends in skype, and it made my speaking improve fast. Then I knew my roommate like to dance, and I learned more information from him. The camp was extremely violent, murderous, and an evil place. It was the home to the murder of 1.5 million Jews. Sadly it had the most deaths of any concentration camp ever. It was first being used to hold Polish political prisoners, people who spoke out against Hitler after the Germans took over Poland starting World War II. The whole area consisted of three total camps over the period from its founding to liberation in 1945 near the end of WWII. It consisted of Auschwitz I, (The original prisoner holding camp,) Auschwitz II, (a labor/extermination camp founded in 1941,) and Auschwitz III, (a labor camp to staff a chemical factory known as IG Farben.) It also contained 36 other sub camps. The camp was liberated by the advancing Russian forces on January 27th, 1945. • 24. Analysis Of Beuys s The Pursuit Of A Social Art Beuys work revolved around an interaction with his audience in the pursuit of a social art. Beuys defined social sculpture as how we mould and shape the world in which we live. This is not too dissimilar from Lefebvre nations of social space. It is within this context which he makes his famous claim, everyone is an artist. Here he envisioned an art form, in which society could be regarded as one great work of art, (an interpretation of the Wagnerian Gesamtkunstwerk) to which each person can contribute creatively. He viewed the art he made as being a stimulant for the transformation of the idea of sculpture. It was during the 1960s that Beuys theoretical thought about the social, cultural and political function of art manifested in to a physical work. Perhaps one of his most seminal works, 7000 oaks, exemplified his belief that art could take on a form which was defined as both interdisciplinary and participatory. Beuys placed a pile of stones in the town Kassel, Germany. From above one could see that this pile of stones created an arrow, which pointed toward a single oak tree. He stated that the stones should not be moved unless an oak tree was planted in the new location of the stone, over the course of several years 7,000 oak trees were then planted by people of the town. R This notion of a social, participatory art form can also be seen in the writing of Nicolas Bourriaud, who wrote why wouldn t the meaning of a work have as much to do with the use one makes of it as with the artists intentions for it. With both social sculpture and architecture, as with physical architecture, a dialogue exists between use and structure. To a certain degree structure determines use and yet use also effects structure. Use is both constructive and destructive, it manipulates and transforms object to its needs. Contemplation the way in which art would traditionally be experienced, is neither constructive or

EAI immerses students directly in problems that are delivered in a combination of multimedia and hands on contexts (Bottge et al. 2007). EAI contains three main parts, probing questions by the teachers to guide student understanding, students working together in small groups to discuss and find solutions to problems, and explicit instruction on skills and concepts by the teachers as the students need them. How Ceramic Cutting Tools Have Been Around For Over 100 Years David Golding Term Paper Mech 4320 Dr. Lewis Advanced Cutting Materials Ceramic cutting tools have been around for over 100 years. The most common materials used prior to this were iron and steel. These metals are effective in cutting but have limitations that ceramics do not. There are many different types of materials used in the production of ceramic based cutting tools. The production of ceramics have seen various advancements since its birth, and continues to be more dependable as new technologies are applied to lower cost and boost efficiency in development. Advanced cutting ceramics is a $30 million (US) industry per the Department of Energy and has seen increased growth in the last 10 years. Alumina (гЂ–AlгЂ—_2 O_3) and Silicon Nitride (гЂ–SiгЂ—_3 N_4) are most commonly found in a ceramic cutting material. Their attributes differ for their own specific purpose, but they all have the same core characteristics. They all demonstrate elevated hardness, strength, and thermal conductivity. Thermal conductivity is one of the main advantages in using ceramics over other materials. Ceramics can withstand temperatures over 4000℉ in its operation, while Carbide can only reach 1600℉. Cutting materials at this heat allows for the material being cut to be softened, allowing for a smoother, easier pass. These high temperatures are unattainable for carbide tools because they exceed its melting point. Ideal machining temperatures (e.g., 2200В°F for nickel alloys) can be accommodated by

Comparison Of Macbeth And Lady Macbeth Contrast Comparison of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth While analyzing the two main characters in Shakespeare s tragic play Macbeth, critics have often argued about their true nature and inner coherence. Despite the effort made, very rarely are the characters presented as their true self, without the inclusion of psychoanalytical theories and other studies. Consequently, this essay s primary goal is to analyze and discuss the main characteristics of the Macbeth couple and how they relate with each other by using nothing but a careful reading of the thoughts and actions of each of the characters and no external influence or studies whatsoever. The first thing that the Macbeth couple share is the malicious influence exerted on them by the Weird Sisters. On the one hand, Macbeth is directly faced with the witches, who tell him of his new title of Thane of Cawdor (a fact that the audience already knows from what King Duncan said to the nobles after hearing the bleeding captain s report) and more importantly, of his future kingship, with Banquo being Lesser than Macbeth, and greater. /[Getting] kings, though thou be none (Macbeth I. iii. 66 68). Reactivity Of Tert-Butyl Chloride Lab Report Courtney Copeland Alexis Madrazo TA: Katrinah Tirado October 10, 2017 Synthesis and Reactivity of tert butyl Chloride via an Sn1 Reaction Copeland 1 Introduction/Background Substitution reactions are important chemical processes that contribute to the production of new compounds. Simplistically, these reactions take place through a series of steps in which one functional group is replaced by another (March). There are two types of nucleophilic substitution reactions, first order and second order, but this experiment only involves the Sn1 first order reactions. Sn1 reactions are considered unimolecular meaning that only one molecule is involved in the rate determining step, the slowest step of the reaction which determines the overall speed of the reaction. In contrast, Sn2 reactions are considered bimolecular, and complete the substitution reaction in one step. The main components of these reactions are the nucleophile and the leaving group; a nucleophile replaces the leaving group by donating its electrons to form a new bond to the carbon (Weldegirma). For this experiment, the nucleophiles and leaving groups of the Sn1 reactions are alkyl halides and alcohols respectively. When a hydrogen atom is replaced by halogen in an alkane, the resulting compound is referred to as a alkyl halide. There are certain factors that affect both Sn1 and Sn2 reactions which include the structure of the substrate, and the concentration and reactivity of the nucleophile (Sn2 only). If a

When modernity arose, the practice of individualism, community, and independency took place in artist and choreographers in modern dance. As an artist, singer, dancer, and mother Baker is known as the Figure of Modernity . She moved from the United States to France to start her career wearing revealing, sparkling, dazzling costumes, with loads of makeup, and had a voice that wanted to be heard. In one of her famous moments, she sings Haiti in the movie ZOU ZOU in 1934. In this piece, she is portrayed as an exotic caged bird singing away and wearing very limited clothing. Her amazing vocal chords sing about her desires for love and her urges she feels. With this never being appropriate to the public, Josephine Baker was shunned by some, like the Talented Tenth, but mostly adored by all others. With her corky, dorky faces and outrageous performances, she really caught the attention of audiences in Europe craving more and more of her. Baker s self propelled success was based on the timely manner it occurred in. With the rise of modernity, individuality, women, and modern dance, Baker was able to become a star in the arts. Another reason she became a legend so quickly was her ability to make people smile, laugh, and be excited about her differences; like hairstyles, outfits, performances. In a documentary on Baker, Jean Claude Baker, one of her adopted sons, states, Josephine Baker became the embodiment, the personification of the funny, madness, rebellion after the war (Josephine Baker: 1926 Banana Skirt). Her practices of sexuality on stage really drew in the male audiences, as well as the females who desired to be like her. Modern dance gave Josephine Baker a voice on and off the stage, provided the timing and location of her debut after the war. Not only did modernity and modern dance provide the means to express personal opinions and desires, it also allowed politics and dance to merge and work together. Most modern dancers were

Grade inflation, the belief that students are receiving grades that they haven t worked for and therefore don t deserve. But what s so wrong about grade inflation? When learning about this subject we also open the doors to learning about the multitude of other problems plaguing our educational system that could use our attention much more than gradeinflation does. Through gradeinflation we re able to understand problems often forgotten about and looked over. When researching into the topic of grade inflation one begins to see a multitude of problems arise that have been previously ignored and have been left to continue wreaking havoc on the educational system. Mark Oppenheimer shares a similar points of view in his article where he discussed his opinion, that grade inflation is one of the much lesser issues and that we need to be focusing on other things.(other things, just quote his article). His ideas are countered by the ideas of people such as Rojstaczer who argue that grade inflation is becoming an out of control issue that needs to be fixed (add in quotes from the book and article) In the past colleges like Princeton and Wellesley have tried to adopt policies to help curb grade inflation. Even though it lowered the percentages of high grades, effectively lowering the amount of grade inflation, it came with the cost of unforeseen consequences that affected the students and staff. • 43. The Relationship Between Bisexuality And Its Effects On... Bisexuality is described as having romantic or sexual attraction to both males and females. This means that a bisexual woman can be attracted to either a man or a woman and have a meaningful relationship with either gender. Bisexuality can be transitional but it can also be a stable sexual orientation no different from lesbianism. With transitional bisexualitywomen typically experience attraction towards men and women but soon identify with either heterosexuality or lesbianism. Their bisexuality is merely a way for them to find out who they are and what they like. Stable bisexuality means that this is not a stage and it will not simply disappear with age. It is a sexuality with just as much stability as lesbianism, their attraction towards men and women will remain constant. Both types of bisexuality exist and are experienced by real women. Stable bisexuality is the more common type and most women who identify with it do not adopt a different sexuality with age. Simply because a bisexual woman may marry a man does not make her heterosexual and just because she may marry a woman does not make her a lesbian. Her sexuality remains the same because her attraction to both genders does not change. When concerning bisexuality and friendships there is a stigma that you cannot be a bisexual woman and be friends with a heterosexual woman because you will be attracted to them sexually. Typically when looking at friendships people tend to choose friends who are similar to themselves

There is a lot of myth surrounding Einstein s schooling with statements like Einstein failed math or Einstein did bad in school , but these were simply myths and not much more. Einstein did extremely well in school and did amazing in mathematics specifically (having mastered calculus on his own at age 15). The issue was that Einstein had a tendency to skip class and go off on his own doing personal research and discovery. It was in this erratic method of his that caused colleagues and employers to avoid his company and led to the developed opinion that Einstein was not destined for a life of research and discovery. Although Einstein seeked out a position in the sciences, nobody would take him on as an assistant nor a colleague which ultimately led to him becoming a worker at the Swiss patent office. The prospect of Einstein ever entering into the academic stream looked grim. He had derailed his education and reputation. He was disregarded in the scientific community for his poor work ethic and failure to comply with traditional scientific method. However, in 1905 at the age of 26, Einstein went on to publish four papers that changed his academic merit entirely. March saw Einstein s

The hypothesis is, vanilla and cinnamon will increase the rate of fermentation while baking soda will either decrease the rate of fermentation or stay the same. The bread goes through a process called alcoholic fermentation, in which pyruvic acid is converted into Carbon Dioxideand alcohol. This could be because the sugar in cinnamon and vanilla are not glucose or sucrose, which means that these two ingredients could not go through fermentation. Baking Soda spiked up at 1.75 cm because it releases Carbon Dioxide in the presence of acids (sugar). This increased the bubbles because the bubbles are made of Carbon Dioxide. Baking Soda

Many of the things that she is going through both at school and at home are commonplace to most girls in middle school and starting puberty. She s facing the mean girls, but also the boy who s making racist faces at her. Presumably, this means he s doing something with his eyes, and this immediately made me think of the jerks in middle school that I remembered also doing this. I really liked this storyline because I feel like, especially in entertainment and media, the issue of raceis literally black and white, but there are many other minorities that underrepresented and mistreated. It was interesting watching Violet essentially talk to herself, as represented by Nobody, about how she felt about these things and to realize that while it may not be the best situation, at least she has her brother to rely on. Another interesting thing about their focus on race is that, of the six person cast, only one cast member is white and not of Asian descent, and he plays the Canute, who is trying to destroy diversity.
