1. 250 Word Essay
Crafting a 250-word essay may seem deceptively simple due to its brevity, but the challenge lies
in effectively conveying a coherent and meaningful message within such constraints. The limited
word count demands conciseness and precision, forcing the writer to carefully choose each word
to maximize impact. It becomes a delicate balance between providing sufficient information and
maintaining clarity.
In this compact format, every sentence carries significant weight, and there is no room for
unnecessary elaboration. The writer must distill their thoughts to their essence, presenting a
compelling argument or idea without the luxury of extensive elaboration. This process demands
a heightened awareness of the chosen topic and a keen ability to prioritize key points.
Additionally, the strict word limit poses challenges in developing a nuanced and well-rounded
discussion. With only 250 words, delving into complexities and providing a thorough analysis
can be an arduous task. The brevity of the essay format may leave readers craving more depth
and exploration.
Despite these difficulties, mastering the art of the 250-word essay hones valuable writing skills.
It fosters clarity, precision, and the ability to communicate effectively within constraints—a
valuable skill in various academic and professional settings.

2. Hope In George Orwell s 1984
In Greek mythology, there was a woman named Pandora who had in her possession
a box filled with all the evils in this world. She did not know what was in the box,
but was told not to ever open it. Unfortunately, her curiosity got the better of her and
she opened the box. Death and many of the other evils escaped into the world, but
one of the feelings remained in the box. This was hope. Hope is the one sentiment that
people cling onto when nothing else is left. All throughout history hope has been a
major theme in life and in literature. Authors can use the idea of hope to lure readers
into a false sense of security, and then crush that hope and end the brief feeling that
everything is going to be alright. However, that hope can never completely... Show

He is constantly tortured, abused, and questioned. O Brien uses electric shocks to
get Winston to answer questions the way he wants them to be answered, and
gradually gets Winston to believe in the answers. However, during one of the
sessions, when O Brien states that the proles are like animals and will never
overthrow the Party, Winston denies him. He says, In the end they will beat you... I
know that you will fail. There is something in the universe... that you will not
overcome... the spirit of Man (Orwell 269 270). Even after an interminable amount
of torture, Winston still believes that there is some hope left. O Brien believes that
the Party will be able to maintain control forever, which is theoretically possible, but
statistically unlikely. Forever is a very long time, and nothing lasts forever.
Eventually something will subtly change, and the proles will find what they need to
rebel against the Party. Winston says I know that you will fail , because if the proles
are not forced to use Newspeak, then their thoughts cannot be controlled. The way the
Party controls its members is through mental conditioning, but the proles are not
subjected to this. They are much purer than any members of the Party, because their
minds are still intact. Once a mind is damaged in the way that the minds of the Party
members have been, there is no going back. Eventually this
3. Political And Cultural Beliefs In Ancient Egypt
Kings or Pharaohs ruled ancient Egypt between 3100 B.C. and 332 B.C. The
Egyptians believed that each ruler was the powerful god Horus, son of the sun god
RE in a human body, they thought that the king controlled everything I ancient
Egypt, including the sun and the Nile river. He controlled the temples the army the
economy and trade. He oversaw all government officials. the king owned most of the
land in Egypt. Egypt has operated under several constitutions, both as a monarchy and
after 1952 as a republic. The first and most liberal of these was the 1923 constitution
which was promulgated just after Britain declared Egypt s independence. That
document laid the political and cultural groundwork for modern Egypt declaring it an
independent sovereign Islamic state with Arabic as its language. The ancient
Egyptiansbelieved in many different gods and goddesses each controlling a
different part of everyday life. The god khepri appeared as a dung beetle each day
and slowly rolled the sun across the sky. Because gods could interfere in people s
lives the ancient Egyptians prayed to them and gave them gifts to keep them happy.
Egyptian religious beliefs and practices were closely integrated into Egyptian society
of the historical period. Although there were probably many survivals from
prehistory these may be relatively unimportant for understanding later times because
the transformation that established the Egyptian state created a new context for
religion. Ancient Egyptians

Chemical Reaction and the PH Scale Chemical reactions are the heart of chemistry.
People have always known that they exist. The Ancient Greeks were the firsts to

measure the acidity of solutions. Scientists have come up with the pH scale for
determining the concentration of acid in a solution so we can distinguish between

Whether it s a lifted truck running a hemi or a suped up WRX, your dream car
embodies what you desire, the life you d like to live, and the kind of person you d
like to be. Your real car embodies what you have, the life you live, and the kind of
person you are.
The search for your dream car entails spending months combing over different
makes and models of car, seeing which has the most horsepower, the fastest, the best
for mudding or the best for racing. Pondering what it would be like to own such a
masterpiece of vehicular perfection.
The time spent imagining what your friends would think if you were to pull up to
school in a Rolls Royce, stepping out like a lavish Bill Gates. The flock of people
crowding around the new wheels just to catch a glimpse.
Instead, people walk briskly past your car to distance themselves from the smell of
burning oil and the squeaking the tranny makes anytime you shift to park.
But back to the dream car, the embodiment of fancy, adorning a leather interior,
unnecessary interior lights, top of the line dash clusters and head unit gadgets.
You look down and see your car is outfitted with an interior resembling a 1640 s
tavern. Seats stuffed with a frightening combination of feathers and hay, interior
lights so dim you can t see the pedals in the dark and worst of all, the dash. The
tachometer, idling dangerously close to 3, spikes randomly if you go over 45. As
we move over, we meet the fuel gage, hovering ever so close to the dreaded E.
Does your car know what a full tank of gas is like or only what $5 gets you? But
hey, I m sure that s enough to get to school, right? Next we find the temperature
gage, where even in park the daring arrow continues to inch it s way closer and
closer to H. Then we glance over to the ominous but impending doom of the dash
lights. You know what light that is, but if you don t look maybe it will go away. A
strange box with the word CHECK inside. It could be anything from a faulty light, to
a blown head gasket, but that s not important cause you re not fixing it regardless.
Last but not least, we reach the coup de gras of your dash, the odometer. Dust covers
the numbers, protecting your eyes from the abomination that is the mileage.
7. The Contributions Of The Endowment Effect Essay
The endowment effect has been a heavily studied subject since the 1980 s when it
was first described by Richard Thaler. This effect describes the phenomena where the
buying and selling prices of an object have major differences. The sellers tend to
overvalue their object, requesting higher prices than a buyer would be willing to pay.
The buyers, on the other hand, demonstrate a much lower maximum price. This
discrepancy between buying and selling prices, dependent upon the perspective of the
person, is called the endowment effect. This effect has been connected to many
different cognitive mechanisms, but up until this point has not been studied from the
perspective of cognitive aging. The research in this paper will attempt to describe the
endowment effect, relevant research, potential cognitive mechanisms, and hypotheses
relevant to age.
Theoretical Framework A major theory linked to the endowment effect is Tversky
and Kahneman s (1979) prospect theory. This theory provided new insight into the
decision making process, and went further than previous theory, the utility theory,
to explain how decisions are made. Tversky and Kahneman describe prospect theory
as a decision between gains and losses, or prospect and gambles as it is referred to in
their 1979 paper. With every choice we make there are probabilities of losing and
probabilities of gaining. In terms of gaining, prospect theory states that people are risk
averse. This means that when there are certain options of

for freshwater for humans consumption increased as well Americans learn quickly
that this theory was incorrect. The change of heart on this method was highlighted

the conditions of the Hudson River in New York had deteriorated so poorly

Hudson River did not require any chemical testing to confirm the volume of pollution
that it was blatantly obvious by the form debris on the bottom as well as with
materials floating in the water. Unfortunately this was not a remote situation but was

poison dart frogs were not as colorful as they are today; rather dull and lifeless in

12. Violent Behavior Theories
A behavior of violence may be best defined as the conduct that causes harm or
threatens to cause harm to other people. The kind of harm that results from violent
behavior may either be physical or emotional. Violent behavior ranges from verbal
abuse to destruction of physical property. In the case of physical property, the victim
of the violent behavior suffers destruction of personal property. There are various
characteristics that characterize individuals with violent behavior. Some of these
characteristics include irritability, restlessness, and impulsiveness among others. In
most cases, violent behavior is usually intentional in the sense that an individual
makes a choice to engage in violence. Although understanding the causes of violent
behavior is a very complex subject, there are various theoretical frameworks that
have been developed and those that help explaining violent behavior. The
sociological theories help in explaining the process through which an individual
becomes a serial killer. Though they approach the same subject from different
perspectives; these theories have areas of convergence as well as divergence.... Show

Strain theory is one of the sociological theories related to violent behavior.
Proponents of strain theory assert that violent behavior is as a result of lack of
failure in fulfillment of personal aspirations. In everyday life, individual set goals
that they wish to attain at a certain time. The achievement of goals calls for some
struggle and commitment. However, when individuals put a lot of strain in order to
achieve their goals and fail, they get disappointed. According to strain theorists, when
individuals do not achieve their target in acquiring wealth and power, which are
disproportionately distributed in the society, they opt to engage in violence in order
to acquire them (Agnew,
13. Creative Talent And Risk Of Pixar
Former CTO and current President of Pixar, Edwin Catmull, describes in his article
How Pixar Fosters Collective Creativity of 2008 the numerous aspects used at the
pioneer of computer animation for structuring and operating a creative organization.
He bases his outline on the key assumption that finding and supporting smart people
is much more important to Pixar than good individual ideas (Catmull, 2008). The
principles and practices for managing creative talent and risk are proven successful
and were transferred to the revived Disney Animation Studio after the merger in 2006.
Pixar sees its creativity supporting structure as a competitive advantage based on
the fact that all nine released films were huge commercial successes and scored
with critics (Catmull, 2008). Additionally, Pixar never hat to buy scripts or movie
ideas from external sources. After the article was written, Pixar released fived
more films. All of them were again commercial successes, but critics consistently
received Cars 2 of 2011 as Pixar s First Bad Movie (Tyler, 2011). After 2008 and
after the adaption of Pixar s organizational structure Disney Animation Studios
released seven new films, they showed an enormous increase in critical ratings and
an overall decent financial success (Kays, 2013).
After the bad reviews of Cars 2 and criticism about Pixar recently focusing too much
on established franchises, Catmull announced that the studio plans to significantly
scale back its production of sequels
14. The Three Realms
To fully comprehend the reality of the three realms we as individuals and
worshippers need to understand what each realm holds. Developing the authority
we have over each realm and the responsibility we hold is key to ultimately grass our
purpose as worshippers. The definition of a worship leader is worship from heaven,
lead in the early realm. So having leadership skills is an essential for leading people
into the manifest presence of God. We hold high authority. Though some of us don t
take that authority to good use or never take it at all. Our worship is not to be a
show or performance its to draw people into a face to face encounter with God, to
draw the crowd into the midst of holy heavenly presence. We ask for his presence
instead of taking authority he s given us... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
No matter where we are or what we are doing we have can carry the heavenly
atmosphere with us. The second realm is the place of the fallen. Here Satan rules.
The battle in this realm is to fight for the atmosphere and the airways. We as
worshippers are to fight for the atmosphere. We are to establish air supremacy. The
third realm is God s realm. This is where Gods throne lies. The purpose of worship
in this realm is delight. As worshippers when we delight in the Lord there is no
room for enemies resistance. We are to observe what scripture tells us on this
realms to become more aware of what we are to do. The thing that stood out to me
the most is the saying our vertical praise has a horizontal. Praising God is setting the
mark for an assignment to take place. Imagination and creativity comes from the Lord
so we should honor him in all he has given us. Yes, we have a enormous assignment
and countless amounts of responsibility. The Lord is not weighing us down with
these things instead using them to cause us to soar in the high heavens and bring
others with us. Our experiences start new opportunities. Worship is for the heart and

16. Eukaryotic Cell Functions
All eukaryotic cells have microtubules, which are hollow rods assembled from a
globular protein called tubulin. Microtubules grow in length by adding tubulin
dimers. Those dimers can also be disassembled, which would allow the tubulin to
build microtubules elsewhere in the cell. The two opposite ends of of a microtubule
are actually pretty unique. One end can can accumulate or release tubulin dimers at a
much higher rate which allows it to grow or shrink during cellular activities
(Campbell, pg.114). The microtubules and the motor proteins of a cell are closely
related, which is why I must introduce some of there functions. Cell motility
generally requires interaction if the cytoskeletonwith motor proteins. They work

Now we are presented with microtubules again and this time I shall describe to you
why this is part of the correct choice. As microtubules structure actually serves as
tracks, which organelles that are equipped with motor proteins can use to move.
That seems like one of the two functions we were looking for that contribute to
movement within a cell. Microtubules are often handled with the task of guiding
vesicles from the ER to the Golgi apparatus (Campbell, pg. 114). The next part of
choice B is motor proteins, which are often compared to as feet or how the cell
walks to their destination. They use the tracks provided by the cytoskeleton. The
motor protein kind work with the cytoskeleton and the plasma membrane molecules,
which allow whole cells to move along fibers on the exterior portion of the cell
(Campbell, pg.113). Choice B is correct.
Choice C. I don t want to repeat myself and sound repetitive so I tried to give a
detailed response to choice A as to why actin filaments is incorrect. Actin filaments
is more of a structural component of the cell aiding it in bearing tension (Campbell,
pg. 114) Motor proteins I tried to give a detailed description in choice B as to why it
is correct. Motor proteins work with various parts of the cell to allow whole portions
of a cell to move along fibers outside the cell (Campbell, pg.113). Choice C is

came to Ithaca, primarily since he needs to keep his identity a secret, familiarize
himself with the situation on Ithaca and formulate a plan to execute the suitors. He
perceives that he has arrived in a mist shrouded and unknown land. And thus
secondarily, he needs to present a feasible reason for being alone and stranded with
copious amounts of treasure for safety reasons as well as to allay suspicion in relation
to his identity. Athenaaffects how he tells his lie because he can see and listen to her.

Hence, this absence of kleos portrays Odysseus as calculating, merciless and
dishonorable. This would warn the shepherd not to try to steal from Odysseus as
Orsilokhos attempted because Odysseus does not care for glory and will slaughter
him in any way he can whether or not it damages his reputation. The images
evoked from Troy, all I had fought and bled for , serve to somewhat justify his
murder of Orsilokhos and show some appreciation for honest work, when it serves
him, and could function to make the shepherd feel less fear towards a murderous
foreigner. Mostly, this information gives the shepherd a distinct warning not to
attempt to harm or steal from him because not only is he a hardened warrior who
survived a ten year war at Troy, but he has already murdered royalty, dishonorably, in
his own homeland for trying to take his hard earned possessions. Obviously, he would
have no qualms about killing a shepherd in a different country for attempting the
same.
Odysseus also mentions that he was not subservient to Idomeneus at Troy. He even
led a command of men not under Idomeneus, which would be skirting on treason.
Though it was not admirable to disregard duty, it allowed Odysseus a unit of men
who would presumably die for him and could potentially be used to overthrow
Idomeneus

political transformation process begun to unfold, there is increment of audiences
who turn to Al Jazeera as their first news choice (Jamal, 2009 Radsch, 2007). In
2008, Boyd Barrett and Xie claimed that Al Jazeera has an estimation of 50 million
audiences worldwide from its various channels such as the original international
service, a news channel broadcasting 24 hours in Arab language; Al Jazeera Sports
1 and 2; a children s channel; a documentary channel, and Al Jazeera Mobasher, a
live political and public interest channel similar to C SPAN or BBC that broadcasts
conferences in real time without editing or commentary. Moreover, Al Jazeera has
soon open up a vast array of medium for news such as online press, social media, and
citizen journalismon Internet which emerged as an alternative to mainstream press
(Radsch, 2007; Hafez, 2008: 333; Nötzold, 2009: 4). Not to forget its first privately
own satellite TV. Thus, this has eventually intensified the competition among news
producers whereby the journalists aim to tailor a better coverage especially on
satellite stations to attract audiences who have short attention span (Radsch, 2007: 7).
For instance, the Egyptian government launched Nile News after seeing the

April 11, 2012
Over the past twenty five years, Starbucks has been leading the coffee revolution and
turned a dying industry upside down by mainstreaming their stores and creating a
public fascination. From the beginning of Starbucks stores through 2006, they have
opened stores all over the U.S. and will be taking it overseas. Starbucks is leading the
coffee revolution and has expanded their reach all over the world. With this much
growth, it is easy for the company to lose their edge by forgetting the reasons they
have become so large from the beginning. In this analysis, I am going to go over an
economic assessment, marketing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Everywhere you look you are bombarded with cups, coasters, spoons and anything
else related to coffee. The customer service is dropping and this is ultimately
bringing down their profits and is not due to the availability of growth.
Starbucks is still only supplying less than 5 percent of the coffee market. With this
low of a number there is still much more growth that can take place within the
industry. This number allows for many more stores to be added to their list of future
prospects. Weber states that competitiveness is related to company effectiveness,
which is determined by whether the company satisfies the needs of stakeholders
(groups affected by business practices). Important stakeholders include stockholders,
who want a return on their investment; customers, who want a high quality product or
service; and employees, who desire interesting work and reasonable compensation for
their services. The community, which wants the company to contribute to activities
and projects and minimize pollution of the environment, is also an important
stakeholder. Companies that do not meet stakeholders needs are unlikely to have a
competitive advantage over other firms in their industry. The economy is still
moving ahead strong and the possibility of their becoming a recession are starting to
become a bit more possible. The finances of the company are very strong and one of
the leaders within the industry in
24. Who Is Smarter To Practice Social Specialist
There are two vital keys for all pioneers. One of them is the wellspring of specialist
that they practice over the colleagues. It is smarter to practice social specialist instead
of the positional expert on the grounds that in many occurrences, Pioneers frequently
do not have the specialist that typically accompanies a position (Parker, 2009).
Individuals react better when influenced by the pioneer rather than when they get
bearings to do an assignment. The second key is a relentless concentrate on the group
s targets. As a pioneer, it is anything but difficult to meander from the key targets of
the collaboration particularly determined by the individual objectives of more
compelling and convincing individuals from the group. The powerful

Pearl Harbor
Death, destruction, and mercilessness do little justice in describing the horrible
events that took place on December 7th, 1941. What Pearl Harbor fails to accurately
depict is the complexity of the situation. The actual causes of the attack and also the
long term effects that the attack on Pearl Harbor had on the world are some aspects
one doesn t see. Was the bombing of Pearl Harbor a success? Who benefited the most
in the end? Scholars have long pondered these questions and with descriptions of the
preceding events, the actual attack, and post attack events, one can form his/her own
conclusion. The path to problems between Japan and America started many years

Because their country lacks natural resources and had an embargo placed on them,
the Japanese government decided to overpower and occupy the areas in Southeast
Asia that had lots of resources (Infamy). Top Japanese officials felt that war with
the United States was inevitable, but with a large American fleet in the Pacific
stationed at Pearl Harbor on the island of Oahu, war was going to be difficult if
Japan was on the defensive. It would have been to Japan s advantage if they were
the ones to pick the time and place of battle, as they went on to do. Admiral Isoroku
Yamamoto came up with the idea of annihilating the entire American pacific fleet
in one single blow (Essential Pearl Harbor). Beginning in the early months of
1941, Japanese aircraft carrier pilots began training for a Top Secret mission
involving an air raid on a fleet of ships using tactics that met two major criteria. The
attack was to use a huge amount of naval aviation forces, and it was to achieve
complete surprise on its enemy. Japanese leaders felt that if the attack met that
criterion, Japan would dominate the Pacific Ocean and have control over all of the
Far East. As the training continued, the plan became more and more detailed. In the
latter part of February 1940, Adm. Isoroku Yamamoto gave Comdr. Minoru Genda,
26. Greek Wine Case Study
How did the development of the large states and Empires promote wine as a drink of
choice?
a.Around 870 BCE, a grand party was thrown to display the wealth of a king,
Ashurnasirpal, for a new capital in Nimrud in the Mesopotamia region. During this
time, the king showed off exactly just how rich the new empire was by making
available 10,000 jars of beer, and 10,000 skins of wine, and at that time wine was 10
times as expensive as beer. Not only was skins imported, but some were made from
his own vines, thus starting the craze of wine in that area.
2.What role did Greek geography play in its economic development and trade?

a.The Greek area were ideal for viticulture, and soon enough every farmer was
cultivating grapevines and olives. Farmers made up to 20 times more than growing
grain, so wine became the main export. Wine became status of wealth, and the
classes were arranged by their vineyard holdings. The larger the holding the higher
class of citizen they were.
4.What was Plato s view of democracy? How did Plato s symposium differ from
others?
a. Plato believes that too much power is held by ordinary people like a father with
his children. Plato also believed that the wine pourers represent the power of
democracy, and they have encouraged people to drink too much freedom, aka wine.
Plato s symposium had the aspects of good and bad human behaviors, with the good
outweighing the bad. For most symposiums it was an outlet of all kinds, sexual,
intellectual, social, basically just a way of dealing with any issue

27. Hepatitis C Virus ( Hcv )
Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is a small (~55 to 65 nm), spherical enveloped virus that can
cause major illness. Hepatitis C was discovered after the intense investigations
between 1982 and 1988 in Chiron corporation. Michael Houghton discovered the non
A and non B hepatitis by using the molecular approach. Hepatitis Caffects liver
caused by the hepatitis virus; the virus can cause acute and chronic hepatitis
infection ranging from a mild illness to severity, lifelong illness. Mostly patients
are affected with acute infection; however, chronic hepatitis is caused by liver
cirrhosis a severe scarring which can lead to liver failure. HCV affects more than
185 million people worldwide. The rate of chronic hepatitis is affected by race,
gender, and viral immune response. Depending on the certain region, hepatitis C
infections can be concentrated in certain populations or in general populations. The
HCV have high genetic diversity which is characterized by regional variation which
makes treating the infection more challenging. Hepatitis patients are often prescribed
ribavirin and interferon; but current research is developing new therapeutic drugs
which will be less toxic and can be targeted to each genotype. This review will
provide the historical, and scientific aspects of hepatitis C virus.
The Discovery of Hepatitis C: Michael Houghton through the molecular biology
approach identified the cause non A and non B hepatitis. Before 1989, the

Pilot Deviation, is defined as the actions that result in a deviation from Federal law.
Pilot Deviation Reports are used to document other incidents and violations of the
Federal Aviation Regulations and create unsafe situations. There are many types of
Pilot Deviation situations, some of those include: Operation of an aircraft in a
reckless or careless manner (91.13), aircraft flying below 500 AGL, TFR intrusions,
wrongly operating an aircraft in special use airspace, and prohibited night flight
operations. Depending on the severity of the violation, you may be penalized from
Administrative or Enforcement Action, a 709 ride requirement, or even death. It is
important to know what the deviation is and how to avoid it. Most of the pilot
deviations occur in the air (77%), the rest is unauthorized pilot deviations on the
ground (23%). Out of the in air deviations the majority of the situations is altitude

29. Diversity And The Impact On Individual Behavior Essay
Diversity and the Impact on Individual Behavior The closest definition to individual
behavior is personality which is the totality of an individual s behavioral and
emotional characteristics. Personality embraces a person s moods, attitudes,
opinions, motivations, and style of thinking, perceiving, speaking and acting. It is
part of what makes each individual distinct (Answers, 2007). Diversity within
organizations can positively or negatively impact individual behavior. Diversity
includes all the ways in which individuals differ including race, gender, age, disability,
religion, sexual orientation and child/elder care responsibilities (Census bureau,
2007). Organizations can create opportunities to draw upon people with different...

McDonald s took 13 months to figure out that Hindus in India do not eat beef and

Saudi Arabia in pig skin to dramatize the presentation. Pigs are an insult to Muslims,
so the proposal was never opened (Lopez Campillo, n.d., para. 10). Knowing what is
important to an ethnic group causes employees from that group to feel more

Gender
In 1950 about one in three women participated in the labor force. By 1998, nearly
three of every five women of working age were in the labor force (Heatherfield,
n.d., para. 4). In 2008, the U.S. Department of labor estimates that women will
make up 48% of the workforce (Heatherfield, n.d., para. 6). As the number of
women in the workforce rises so do the numbers of women who hold higher titles
such as Chairman, CEO, Vice Chairman, President, Chief Operating Officer, Senior
Vice President, and Executive Vice President. This number has increased from 7.3%
in 2000 to 9.9% in 2002 (Diversity statistics, 2006). Women are advancing in the
workplace both in volume and in numbers of higher positions, but are still not paid
equally to men. For every dollar earned by men, Caucasian women earn 59 cents,
30. The Beatitudes Research Paper
Within living in a Christian faith, it is mandatory for all Christians to follow and
respect the acts that Jesus taught us. The Beatitudes are the eight statements of
blessedness spoken by Jesus at the beginning of the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew
5:3 12), each beginning with Blessed are.
1.Blessed are the poor in spirit; theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
2.Blessed are the gentle; they shall have the earth for their heritage.
3.Blessed are those who mourn; they shall be comforted.
4.Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for what is right; they shall be satisfied.
5.Blessed are the merciful; they shall have mercy shown to them.
6.Blessed are the pure in heart; they shall see God.
7.Blessed are the peacemakers; they shall be called children of God.
8.Blessed are those who are persecuted in the cause of right; theirs is the kingdom of
heaven.

Jesus Christ gave us the eight Beatitudes in the Reading on the Mount, recorded for
all future generations in the Gospel of Matthew, the first Book of the New Testament

32. Robin Hood Research Paper
Socrates once said, The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on
fighting the old, but on building the new. Robin Hood changed a lot from
beginning to end. He started off being different, but in the end, he was the same as
anyone else. People had affected his ways of doing things, and how he was as a
person. Robin Hoodchanged over time by realizing what he has done, he changed
because of the decisions he made, and he changed after the hate between him and
King Henry dissolved.
Robin Hood changed a lot over time. He started off as an outlaw, and almost
everyone was his enemy. And so he came to dwell in the greenwood that was to be
his home for many a year to come, never to see the happy days with the lads and
lasses of sweet Locksley Town; for he was outlawed not only because he had killed
a man, but also because he had poached upon the King s deer (Pyle 21; ch 1). But in
the end, he was no longer an outlaw, he was part of royalty. Thus rode the King into
Nottingham Town on that bright afternoon in the early fall season; and none rejoiced
more than Robin Hood and his merry men to see him come royally unto his own
(907; ch 21). Everyone knew who he was, even before he became royal. Time

Robin Hood made decisions that were not so good, but he also made some good

strode along merrily, singing as he went; and so blithe was he and such a stout
beggar (692; ch 17). He tricked a beggar into switching clothes with him, so no one
would know who he was. I am right glad too see thee, Will, and thou wilt add great
honor and credit to my band of merry fellows (327; ch 9). He added many more
people to his band, including Allan a Dale. Robin Hood made good and bad

34. The On The Door, My Wife And I
Knock on our Door Speaking of a right at the door , my wife and I, like most other
people on in this country, had a knock on our door by some Jehovah s Witnesses.
They had their material at the ready and started in, as they often do, asking us
about paradise earth . I invited them into our home. At the end of the discussion,
we arranged a time for them to come back for a follow up visit. When they did, my
wife and I were prepared with coffee (yes, they do drink coffee) and snacks. I also
had some time to brush up on my study in this area. The husband, now retired, had
served as the overseer at the Watchtower Headquarters in New York City for
decades as a proofreader of their Watchtower material. I knew I was in for a fierce
debate. As the late Dr. Walter Martin once said, Jehovah s Witnesses will turn most
Christians into a theological pretzel. The couple we entered into discussions were
no ordinary J.W. s. They made the average J.W. visit feel like a picnic. In our get
together, he brought up the year 1914; a very significant year for J.W. s. I think, to
his shock, I agreed that 1914 was a very significant prophetic year. What started as a
meeting, turned into an 8 month discussion, sometimes with laughter, other times
pretty intense. And no, we did not join the Jehovah s Witnesses, but we did part as
friends. We didn t save them; only God can do that. But we planted seeds and perhaps
more importantly, showed them that Christians can be loving yet bold, knowledgeable

Missoula Montana. At this particular meeting there were only two participants, the
chair person and one group member. The chair person is a Caucasian, mid life,
female the one group member is a Caucasian, senior, female. At Perkins the group
was allowed access to the back of the restaurant which was empty and consisted of
several tables and chairs. Once the meeting started the atmosphere was very casual
and laid back. The chair person was genuinely interested in why I was there. We
talked briefly then explained to the one group member in attendance why I was
there. The group member was excited to have a different face in the crowd. The
conversations flowed naturally and my presence did not seem to affect the group.
I arrived at Perkins about one hour before the scheduled meeting time, I did not
want to be late and walk into the meeting and disturb the members. Once the
chairperson arrived I felt a little relived, I was in the right place and she was
expecting me. We talked briefly and then went to the back of the restaurant. I was
surprised once the meeting started that only one member was in attendance. Along
with surprising me it also eased my nerves as I was an outsider. However once the
meeting started I realized the group member was just as nervous having me there as
I was being there. The feelings of nervousness did not stop the member from opening
up and sharing. Not sure I learned this
39. Historical Analysis of the Movie, Citizen Kane Essay
Historical Analysis, Citizen Kane: Camera Movement Citizen Kane, directed by
Orson Welles, was an exemplary and ground breaking work. In narrative structure
and film style, Welles challenged classical Hollywood conventions and opened a
path for experimentation in the later 1940s. Gregg Toland s deep focus
cinematography and Welles use of low key lighting are often discussed aspects of
the movie. True, these were areas of innovation, but when watching the movie in
class I was particularly struck by the use of camera movement, or mobile framing
as described in Film Art. In this historical analysis, I will take a detailed look at how
Welles and Toland use camera movement to develop and challenge the Hollywood
style. By referring... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Murnau, in The Last Laugh uses camera movement subjectively when the doorman
is drunk and hears the sound of the trumpet. This is unique, and shows how some
filmmakers used the technique for more experimental ends (just as Lang would
use sound in his film M). But in America, in a film like Wings, the spectacular
camera movement in the French nightclub happens only once, and it just
establishes a space before the action begins. With the coming of sound, in movies
like Applause, camera movement became clumsy and difficult. Mamoulian still
tried it to make his film look more fluid, but it often was distracting. In Citizen
Kane, Welles and Toland blend camera movement with the drama of the scenes,
and use it more spectacularly. They extend the device in two directions, and in
doing so they challenge Classical Hollyood s convention of Invisible Style. A
good example is the introduction to El Rancho, where Susan Alexander works as a
singer. The camera begins on a sign outside the restaurant and then climbs upward
to the roof. Then it glides forward, through another sign, and approaches a skylight.
When it reaches the skylight, Welles uses an invisible dissolve to cut to a high
angle long shot of the interior of El Rancho. This camera movement calls attention
to itself as a spectacle. Not only is it unusual to begin a scene by climbing up a
building and floating across its roof, the cut through the glass window (skylight) is
obviously impossible. Welles uses the

Sole Proprietorship
Description
Simplest and oldest business form to establish
Does not require legal expertise or fees when forming
Most popular type of business organization comprising
Excellent option for business that only have a small number of employees (Stevick,
G.E., 2006).
Two Advantages
1.The owner has complete control over the business, and has all decision making
power.
2.Owner retains all profits made by the organization.
Two Disadvantages
1.Unlimited and unshared responsibility means there can be concerns related the
payment of debts and legal action being taken against the owner.
2.If the sole proprietor cannot pay his or her business debts or expenditures, he or
she is still required to pay for them, as there is no distinction between personal assets
and liabilities and business assets and liabilities.
Liability
Owner has unlimited and unshared responsibility for business
Income taxes
The business owner s personal taxes and business taxes are taxed as a single unit
with the business owner only to having to file a 1040 tax form along with a Schedule
C ( Profit or Loss from Business Profession ) (Stevick, G.E., 2006).
Continuity of the organization
Expansion of a sole proprietorship can be difficult, as the monetary resources to
support such a move come from the owner s personal assets. Additionally, if the
expansion moves into another state, there are additional taxation and compliance
regulations to consider.

reminder. The event that destroyed the small island of Galveston, the Galveston
Hurricane, had many social, political, and economic impacts that made this storm
life changing. The Galveston Hurricane of 1900 improved Texas for the better and
helped Galveston grow stronger as a city. The society of Galveston suffered greatly
after the hurricane in both good and bad ways. The people of Galveston lost almost
everything they had; everything was nearly ruined. As stated by Ida Smith Austin,
Mov. 6, 1900, during the storm planks and debris were thrown around in the air and
water flooded homes. Many survivors of the storm lost almost everything they had,

Helping those who need help is something that people should do. Giving their time
to helping a cause that can better the world is worth it. Helping the people, overall
will help the world. Service can come in all sorts of forms and shapes. Service can
be: doing volunteer work at a local non profit organization, watching your friend s
children if s/he has an emergency, and even giving some back an item to someone
that they dropped (McMillen). Time is something that everybody in the world can
run out of eventually, but it is important that before it runs out we make good use of
it. Helping, by offering your service can put your valuable time in good use. There
shouldn t only be one person helping, everyone that can time, should help. If there...

My group for this project started out slow, but now we are working together. No
matter the age, building relationships with people is crucial (Zimmer). Ever since
working on this project, I was able to feel more connected to my classmates. By
working with them every day, I was able to create more friendships. Working alone,
this could have taken longer. Finding the organization and then getting in contact
with them. Then coming with ideas by yourself to see how you can help them is
hard. The help we should provide should help their organization spread and grow.
Working alone this might not have been possible. Working as a group, this is
possible. After discussing about the service organization, we thought of creating a
twitter and spreading awareness through the use of social media. Social media is
big and even our service organization has a twitter, so we could get in touch with
them and see how we can help. By using twitter, we can get in touch with people
who can help us either by retweeting or even telling others. By them retweeting
other people can see the dangers of gun violence and maybe they will decide to
help us fight for this cause. Another good idea we thought of was to do a pamphlet
and hand it out to people so they could see the horrible things a gun can do. By
handing these pamphlets out to people on

this is where great work is lost. Short stories are concise and straight to the point.
For example, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty by James Thurber. This short classic,
was first published in The New Yorkerin 1939 and later on became a feature film.
Ultimately, can a short storybe successfully transformed into a film?
Walter Mitty is an elderly man who spends much of his time with his overlooking
wife meanwhile envisioning himself in different scenarios. Many of his scenarios
include becoming a pilot, soldier, and surgeon. As the story became well known,

The fight with reality and identity are clearly shown. Both Mittys have relatively
normal and typical lives. In the movie, Walter Mitty in is search for the 25th negative
film strip that is missing. The 25th film, signifies the missing piece in his life. The
part of his life in which he daydreams. All the sporadic thoughts he has in his head are
telling him to do something that makes his life more interesting, worth meaning. In
the short story, it is never fully fulfilled in reality because his thought and wife limit
him, but in the movie, the missing film pieces pushes him.
Performing great and rather life risking and dangerous tasks that have adrenaline
written all over them was what Walter Mitty was all about. There was a beautiful
quote that was brought up more than once during the movie: To see the world,
things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, to draw closer, to find each other
and to feel. That is the purpose of life. Either stories, whether on paper or on the
movie screen, showed that their lives where so mysterious and secretive and that was
not taken away from them by the end, as Thurber said inscrutable to the
44. The Impressionistic Style Of Monet
Monet is a master of the impressionist advancement that rose during the nineteenth
century. His elegant style and vigilant brush strokes tested the structure and set up
guidelines of contemporary workmanship. Unmistakably, in any case, his work was
subject to much examination and criticism from his partners. No ifs ands or buts,
Monet s style, as depicted in his delineation titled Water Lillies, was not a sudden
jump forward; rather, it was a transformative strategy of reliable progression.
Nevertheless, it is basic to research to what degree Monet changed his style every
through hello business.
Body
It is fundamental in our understanding of Monet to purposely look at which some
portion of impressionism he kept and which strict principles from set up
craftsmanship he rejected using. It is in like ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Commenting on John Rewald s prelude that When a skilled worker grasps his work,
certain optical conditions acquaint themselves with him by which he is bound. Not
everything is possible at all conditions, Millard fought that Monet essentially yielded
certain parts of each style and showed the masterpiece with the objective that it held
the positive qualities of both. Firstly, the start that not everything is possible
fundamentally infers that it is hard to join both legitimacy and clear brush strokes of
impressionism into a lone piece of workmanship. Since honest to goodness scenes are
stacked with correct purposes of enthusiasm, keeping up that genuineness would not
be conceivable. This is the right test that Monet was gone up against with.
Furthermore, Monet did not simply pick a style and tail everything through his
calling as Bouguereau did with set up craftsmanship; rather, he found a work around.
His test styles influenced future painting styles, for instance, Cubism as
45. Steel Industry Essay examples
1. Using the information contained in the case, conduct a five forces analysis of the
U.S. Steel industry. What conclusion can you draw from this?
Degree of Rivalry: Mini mills were being used by the foreign competition which
mean they were able to produce steel at less expensive rates passing that on ot their
customers.
Barriers to entry: Starting in the 1970 s since there were no trade barriers companies
overseas were able to manufacture and sell steel for a much lower price here in the
United States therefore affecting companies domestically.
Supplier power: Once steel became needed again suppliers were able to multiply
what they charged consumers and were able to produce large qantities at a time in
order to stay up with demand. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The level of the competition does vary thuogh because mini mills are able to produce
steel less expensively yet they are not able to produce in large quantities as the bigger
established steel companies. Each company needs to look at how they can improve
within themselves, the economy and against the competition.
3. Given the nature of competition in the U.S. steel industry, what must a steel maker
focus on in order to be proftable?
The U.S. steel industry would have to focus on technology. It should also focus on
the larger global scale in order to stay up with competition domestically and
internationally. If this does not happen then the United States will not be able to stay
ahead of the competition and many companies will once again go bankrupt.
4. How is the competitive strategy of the steel industry currently being affected by the
seven macro environmental forces?
It is currently being affected economically, technologically and legally. With the
economy being as low as it has and going through a recession many industries have
not been able to stay open. They have needed to cut back on expenses such as
supplies and employee costs. With new laws constantly passing they need to make
sure they are up to date with minimum wage and tax laws. It all factors in to whether
or not a business can stay open and make a profit at the same time.

46. Analysis Of The Film Rain Man
Rain Man
The media portrays different exceptionalities within different movies. Cinema seems
to be one of, if not the most, viewed media resources today and has the largest
influence on how different exceptionalities are viewed. Autism spectrum disorder is
one of the main exceptionality portrayed in the movie industry. Rain Man established
a new standard for the realistic representation of autism. This breakthrough
Hollywood film is based on the real life story of Raymond Babbitt, played by Dustin
Hoffman. Hoffman s performance enabled his character to assert his presence with
the intensity which helped humanize not only his self centered brother Charlie,
played by Tom Cruise but also the audience. This allowed us to better understand
how individuals with autism perceive the world. This success of this file enabled
the use of this film as an assessment for measuring how succeeding depictions of
autism have changed or remained the same. There are two major aspects of the film
that may not have seemed troubling in 1988 when the film premiered but would be
found upsetting today as our knowledge of the spectrum disorder has gained strides.
In the film, Raymond is portrayed as an autistic savant ( one who combines certain
deficiencies in social interaction, language and sensory processing with extraordinary
abilities in math and memory ), which created an incorrect stereotype that all
individuals with autism are savant when, in fact, only around 10%
47. Self-Esteem And Self Esteemcy
Build their self esteem, self determination and efficacy
From the different challenges identified, it was established that adolescent girls were
often confronted with many identity conflicts and low self esteem. It was during the
adolescent stage that many girls experience new societal expectations and
responsibilities, which often resulted in identity confusion or internal conflict that
needed to be resolved during adolescence. Consequently, the best ways of engaging
girls were to first build their self esteem, self determination, self efficacy and
confidence. According to Powell (2004), by being supportive and giving tasks and
challenges that raise self esteem, adolescent girls may be able to have success in
school and develop self motivation. Powell (2004) stressed the need for supportive
environments and the need to allow adolescents to develop their own unique
identities. According to Erickson (1968), adolescents were often at the fifth
psychosocial stage of human development. This stage was called Identity versus
Identity Confusion. According to Erickson, if adolescents were not allowed to
explore their new roles and follow a future positive path, they may remain confused
about their identity. Resolving conflicts during adolescence, according to Erickson,
assists adolescents to become who they would be, unique individual, progressing
further into higher developmental stages. Erickson noted that for adolescents to
become autonomous, their self concept and self esteem

All other shoe makers ( Nike, Reebok, Adidas, Fila, Saucony) moved their plants
overseas where labor is cheaper. With 10 percent of the market and revenues of
$1.2 billion New Balance is committed to hiring US workers and keeping its five
US factories going by using technology tight team work, fast delivery and close
communication to keep costs near the level of the cheap Asian factories that make
all its competitors shoes . Although it too has factories in Asia and Mexico, New
Balance has continued expanding its US workforce. But in the 1990s the Federal
Trace Commission (FTC) which regulates advertising clamped down on New
Balance saying the Made in USA label cannot be used unless all or virtually all (98
percent) of the components and labor are of US origin. New Balance shoes contain
rubber ( 25 percent of shoe) not of US origin because rubber is not grown in the
United States. When New Balance complained that its shoes were the only ones
still 100 percent assembled in the United State by the US workers out of all US
parts except for rubber, which is impossible to source in the United States the FTC
backed down, ruling that Made in the USA meant at least 75 percent US parts and
labor. But labor unions, consumer groups and 150 members of congress attacked the
ruling saying it made the label deceptive because it should mean 100 percent US
content. Darlene
