My Millionaire Mentor Video Analysis
Money can make a man move, in the sense that a man is fascinated by money which opens up
different opportunities and becomes the ultimate source for majority of people for survival. Not that it
is not true, without any doubt majority of people are attracted to money and it becomes a necessity
when the needs of an individual are not met. In today s world, with exceedingly high standards of
living most people would like to have a job that is stress free, money that comes easily, without having
to struggle, or at the least have a piece of mind that there is always money available for them. To solve
this issue and not to face any problem with cash in hand they look for options which can make them
rich, live a better and stress free life and when needed take a break and plan for vacation.
A social media website, a webpage that is titled My Millionaire Mentor, a privately owned company
relayed a 40 min video that explains how to transform into a millionaire within a short period of time

ways to prove when they are making a decision. Life of every individual is very precious; thereby,
careful thinking and observation is a necessity while making a decision and not accusing innocents

them to differentiate science from pseudoscience which could help them think broadly in different
directions and not just be biased on their own opinions, assumptions and judgement. Similarly, online

Odds Against Tomorrow Character Analysis
As each day passes, the events that we encounter enters through each and everyone of our minds and
becomes an assimilation of experiences. Over a long period of time one s past experiences come to
affect how they see newer ones. As each and every experience fills our minds, it creates an expectation
or order in which our judgment causes us to assume or create reason for the future to become a certain
way. This process can be viewed as perspective, perspective influences your actions, emotions, it can
be a complete rulebook for the way a person becomes and acts. In the book Odds Against Tomorrow,
by Nathaniel Rich as we explore the world through the eyes of one character, Mitchelle, we began to
notice a possibly very eccentric perspective on life and chance. Throughout the book we notice other
characters and their views on the same events. This then relays back to previous experiences or life
events that these characters have undergone. Overall through the reading we can notice a theme of
multiple or different perspectives, that fact of which perspectives are right or where these perspectives
come from is determined by the reader. One can simply conclude that because of the past experiences
or events that an individual has encountered throughout their life this then becomes a major deciding
factor in their new perceptive. This perspective can change, as the events that we experience come to
change as well. For example an overflow of optimism may be encountered after one

3. Explain the role of polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMNs) in acute inflammation. How do they
emigrate to the site of injury or infection, and what do they do when they get there?
PMNs or neutrophils as they are more commonly known as are the first responders to the scene when
it comes to inflammation/infection since they are highly mobile and more common in the blood stream
which allows them to react quickly unlike other leukocytes. Their jobs are to search and destroy any

Stargirl Analysis Essay
Stargirl was another fantastic book Jerry Spinelli. He added interesting characters, such as, Leo the
quiet and shy one, Stargirl unique and fun one, Dori Dilson Stargirl only friend, Archie the wise and
elderly one, Kevin Leo s friend that likes the stoplight, and Hillari Kimble the popular bratty one. This

Women In Arthurian Mythology
Arthurian legends may seem to only depict knights in shining armor saving damsels in distress or
powerful kings with queens sitting idly by their sides, but upon closer inspection, those women were
not as delicate as initially portrayed. In fact, there were many influential women who played critical
roles in the men s decisions. Significant ones included the Lady of the Lake, the moon goddess,
Morgan Le Fay, the all powerful fairy, and Guinevere, the mere mortal that everybody envied because
of her beauty. All three were beautiful enchantresses characterized by being shrouded in mystery,
refusing to reveal the true intentions behind their deliberate actions. Yet behind each, there were
complex backgrounds of where they came from and how they came to be.
The Lady of the Lake was a hooded figure so shrouded by mystery, her name is not even known to
this day. Some speculated names were Nimue, Vivien, or even Morgan Le Fay. She was said to be a

In Cunneware, it meant female wisdom and in Welsh it meant white enchantress. Guinevere was the
daughter of King Leodegrance but was sent off to get married to King Arthur. Her love for Arthur was
said to have everything but passion which was why she took up a lover who was also Arthur s best
friend and best knight, Lancelot. This affair lasted for many years, but not without suspicion from
others, until Arthur stopped turning a blind and reluctantly sentenced her to being burned at the stake.
In the nick of time, Lancelot saved her from a horrible death and leaves her to lock herself in the
Tower of London where she wore the nun s veil and where she was supposedly buried. Guinevere was
a symbol of sovereignty. All who wanted to take power had abducted her before their reign and had
become rulers while all that lost her lost their power. For example, this happened to Arthur, Lancelot,
and Mordred. This is one of the reasons why many people blamed Arthur s downfall on

Narrow Crib Review
The Oeuf Sparrow Crib has a painted finish and is in a modern style. It comes in a low height to offer
parents and caregiver s ease of accessing baby. This particular crib is made in Europe and follows
strict environmental standards. In the tradition of European cribs, the Oeuf Sparrow is constructed of
slim side rails to give the crib a light, airy European feel. The mattress has 3 heights to allow the crib
to grow with the child. It has a conversion kit that can be purchased to allow the crib to last up to age
5. The crib meets or exceeds all Australian, Canadian, and European as well as U.S. safety standards.
It is also eco friendly with finishes being made using non toxic and water based, free of VOC health
hazards materials.

It also receives high marks for ease of assembly, which is important to anyone purchasing large baby
furniture. Anyone looking for a crib that caters to a need to save space will notice that this is a definite
feature of the Oeuf Sparrow crib. Beauty and sturdiness are not the only qualities users remark about
they also express pleasure in how functional the crib design is for those attending to the needs of a
baby or toddler. The Oeuf Sparrow crib is not for someone on a budget or for those who like heavy
crib designs. This is definitely a crib for those who like modern furniture or desire something that is
light and classy looking. It definitely falls into the higher priced category of cribs but is something a
person expects when shopping for a quality product designed to last for several years of constant use.
There is no smell to the crib when first assembled as has been stated in other crib reviews just a wood
smell that goes away after a week.

Social Simulation Applies Computational Methods Essay
Social simulation applies computational methods to study issues in the social sciences, such as
sociology, political science, economics, anthropology, geography, archeology and linguistics
(Takahashi et al., 2007). There are a number of benefits in assessing social impacts by simulation,
including: (1) a robust tool to support governments, industries and communities to prepare and plan
for the future, manage risks and harness opportunities (Greiner et al., 2014); (2) allows the creation of
artificial societies, systems where basic social structures and group behaviors emerge from the
interaction between individual agents, in artificial environments, based on limited information and
computational ability (Zimbres and Oliviera, 2009); (3) allows the study of the effect of different
combinations of social, technical and natural characteristics of systems at various time scales (Raptis
et al., 2013); (4) can be utilized to predict the effect of a variety of social factors on the emergence and
evolution of social norms (Chen et al., 2012); (5) models can identify the complexity through
modeling the interaction of autonomous factors and deducing the rules for such a systems (Galland et
al., 2014); (6) methods can effectively analyze the non linear qualities of dynamic human interaction
among the individuals in a community (Dabbaghian et al., 2010); (7) are effectively a simplification of
the real world (Harvey et al., 2011); and (8) social impacts represent a learning strategy

Jewish Population of Victorian England Essay
The Jewish Population of Victorian England
HISTORY
The Jews had their roots in Eastern Europe but were also scattered in western European countries such
as England. The Jewish population has been historically scapegoated since the time of the medieval
Church. Stereotypes have been formed of the people practicing this religion for hundreds of years in
England and elsewhere on the Continent. The timeline shows the progression of the population in
England and the strides they have made over a century.

Another stereotype labels the Jews as always being the middle man in shady business (86). Even in
novels of the time period, Jews were being persecuted due to their religion and their disreputable
dealings with money. A prominent author Dickens most notably renderstwo Jewish characters who are
as different as they are alike. They are seen as servile and possess exaggerated characteristics of one
practicing the Jewish religion.
WHY MONEY LENDERS?
The Jewish man has been portrayed as the money lender for hundreds of years. This stereotype dates
back to the Middle Ages and is related to the old church. During the middle ages, the medieval Church
regulated guilds and dominant positions in guilds belonged to Christians. Since the Jewish community
was not tolerated, they had to change their trade. The Church allowed the Jews to be money lenders
but not other professions where they may be competition for Christians. Being a money lender was an
ideal job for the Jewish man because if he was persecuted in his community, he could leave and find
employment elsewhere. Money lending did not require one to be rooted in one area.

The Great Barrier Reef Has Lived Off Of The Southern Coast...
For over 25 million years, the Great Barrier Reef has lived off of the northeastern coast of Australia.
The first human civilizations started around 5,000 years ago and industrialization of humans about 200
years ago (History of Humans, 2016). The human race s timeline is just a small fraction in comparison
to the reefs, but somehow humanity has managed completely derail mother nature in an
incomprehensible amount of ways. Healthwise, the Great Barrier Reef is in the worst shape of its life
and which just so happens to match ever so nicely with the rapid pandemic of global warming that has
increased over the past couple of decades. The rise in air temperature is gradually increasing the ocean
s temperature as well which is causing colossal damage to Great Barrier Reef and reefs across the
globe. If we do not take action immediately in reducing our planet s rising temperature and ever
increasing CO2, it will soon be too late to save this natural wonder as well as the countless organism
that call it home.
Besides being a spectacle to look at, coral reefs are also one of the most diverse ecosystems on the
planet. In addition to ⅓ of all fish (not just species) spend at least a portion of their lives on a reef,
they are also home to mollusks, sponges, turtles, and a plethora of different species of coral (Basic
Facts, 2014). Coral reefs also can protect coastlines from wave erosion and also help support
fisherman that depend on the reef as their livelihood. Contrary to the

Speech On Emotional Support Animals
The National Service Animal Registry defines an emotional support animal as, a person s pet that has
been prescribed by a person s licensed therapist, psychologist, or psychiatrist, they state that The
animal is part of the treatment program for this person and is designed to bring comfort and minimize
the negative symptoms of the person s emotional/psychological disability, (All About). Emotional
support animals have a huge list of responsibilities they can take on and learn to help their owner.
These animals require minimal training and their jobs are specifically tailored to what their owner
needs to maintain their mental health. Still these animals have less rights than service animals. Still,
they have laws protecting them and their owners. My brother and I each have our own emotional
support animals that provide us with their multiple skills that help keep us mentally safe.
Emotional support animals can take on a multitude of jobs that may include reminding the handler to
take medicine, providing safety checks or room searches, or turning on lights for persons with Post
Traumatic Stress Disorder, interrupting self mutilation by persons with dissociative identity disorders,
and keeping disoriented individuals from danger, (Brennan). These animals are often considered pets
but are actually so much more than that, emotional support animals have a very important role in
protecting the mental health of their owners and keep them safe. Not only do these animals protect
people s mental health but they also give people a purpose. Taking care of one of these dogs or other
animals gives people something to take care of and focus on. Knowing that there is another living
thing that relies on them can be very grounding and keep people connected to something outside of
themselves.
Emotional support animals have way less rights than service animals. Emotional support animals are
still often considered just pets making them not allowed in most public places with their owner,
despite their importance. This is not to say that they are given no rights, there are still laws protecting
them and ensuring that people can keep access to their emotional support animals. One of the main
rights given to people with these

authors go into meticulous detail outlining the various systems and make references to many

This classification is important to make, as despite the fact that Cortés was present and an active
participant in the encounter, this does not guarantee an honest account of the events. It is important to
keep in mind, that in writing the letters, Cortés had a personal and political agenda and sought to
justify and legitimise his actions. In reading the two texts, there are inconsistencies in the manner that
Cortés and Moctezuma met and greeted one another and in the nature of the conversations that took
place between them. The most notable being the absence of Malintzin or Doña Marina from Cortes
account. The absence of Doña Marina from Cortés accounts are particularly interesting to me given
her occupation as Cortés mediator and translator throughout the conquest. However, given the fact that
Cortés way trying to undermine his rival Diego Velazquez, it is probable that he wanted to portray
himself in the best light, and claim sole responsibility for his success. While Cortés fails to mention
Marina, she is referenced several times in SahagĂșn s codex. In the illustrations done by native artists,
she is depicted several times. In one of the images, she is standing between Cortés and Moctezuma,
elaborately dressed and clearly a central figure of communication and negotiation between the two
parties. It is interesting that given the little references made to her in the written texts, her appearance
in the illustrations clearly indicate that the Nahuas recognised her role and importance to the

Snow s Three Stages
Snow, one of Earth s most beautiful, and ugliest, creations, is a wintertime topic that brings with it

However, once it becomes black, mushy and hard, we get tired of seeing it, hoping the sun melts it all

The Differences Between Beowulf And Faustus
There are two stories which one can analyze and put into comparison, that being the stories of the
mighty Beowulf and that of the arrogant Doctor Faustus. In Beowulf a story is told from the view of a
warrior becoming a hero and displaying amazing feats. While in Christopher Marlowe Doctor Faustus
, he is recognized as an ambitious self centered individual with an eager sensation to learn more
knowledge of the Arts. He decided to takes his learning a step further and ultimately becomes his main
wrongdoing for his entire life. By reviewing the text of both tales, there are a set of both similarities
and differences able to be made between Beowulf and Faustus. In the story, Beowulf , he is faced with
multiple monsters that have endangered the lives of nearby villages. Beowulf being the vigilant strong
warrior is brave enough to face these monstrosities in combat. His extraordinary strength allows him
to take on such feats and come out victorious as a champion. Beowulf is presented with a warrior like
virtues that make him a preeminent figure in the perspective of the people of Hrothgar, because of his
actions he s seen with the traits of a noble warrior, which consist of bravery, generosity, and heroism.
These trait are very popular and have shown to be unique when it comes to being a great leader. While
in, Christopher Marlowe, Doctor Faustus , a significant difference that is shown between the two is
that Doctor Faustus is not perceived as a warrior or a nefarious

Analysis Of The Book Alice s Adventures Essay
Alice s Adventures
AnnaMarie Bethune
Northeast Alabama Community College
Enraged from the recent conversation with her aunt and uncle, Alice storms out the door. Headed to
her usual spot beneath the old Willow near the edge of the forest, she runs full speed down the hill,
hopefully relieving some of her anger. As she stops at the edge of the forest, book in hand, now sitting,
she can t help but notice her veins flooding with adrenaline. She s so mad she can t sit still.
Alice jumps up and begins walking through the woods, at a rather fast pace, she suddenly stops at the
sound of an odd noise. Frozen, she slowly turns to see that there s a rather small cat staring up at her.
As she bends down to pet it, she sees another one, and another, until there are more than thirty cats
surrounding her. Unnerved, Alice sets off at a sprint, hurdling over the rotten log fallen across her
path. Finally, she s outrun them. Alice stops as she comes to a clearing almost tripping over
something. Searching for what she has stumbled into, she sees a glimpse of royal blue covered in thick
layers of weeds and vines. Hastily pulling the vines from their tangled chaos, Alice finally reveals an

The Portrayal Of Beauty In The Media
Harm of Beauty The portrayal of beauty is shaped in such a way that it caused harm to those men and
women who idealize the way the media has portrayed beauty. There are tremendous influences of the
media that causes an individual harm. Beauty comes with hazards because of the society nowadays
and the role it plays of how women view themselves. Also, there are many disadvantages when people
follow up with the way media portrays beauty. In today s society the concept of beauty causes both
psychological and physical pain to men and women. To begin with, the pictures of models in the

psychological effects occur to individuals that are unconfident about their appearance. For example,
they can be uncertain about their weight, shape or structure. In the article, Beauty is the Beast the

associated with PTSD, posttraumatic stress disorder, and how PTSD can develop into long term
psychiatric and even physical medical conditions. Neglect of a child can affect them later in life and
affect their learning, social, mobile and regular everyday functions and activities. Music also shows
the reader how early childhood experiences can impact attachment between mother and child. In

The most damaging form of trauma is interpersonal trauma which is far more likely than other
traumas, such as car accidents, to give rise to posttraumatic symptoms (Van der Kolk, 1989). Maybe
the worst form of interpersonal trauma is that inflicted by a child s carers. When a carer turns abuser,
then the world feels unsafe and unpredictable. Serious abuse often leads to fear, helplessness, shame...
(Music 206)
Music shows how early trauma and neglect can impair a child s education, social activities and life.
Children need constant parental monitoring in order to thrive. Without constant redirection, nurturing
and advice especially in vulnerable communities like impoverished homes and poor neighborhoods
external negative influences can neglect can set in triggering PTSD like symptoms. In short, without
parental monitoring, children do not learn the necessities in order to live life to the fullest. Music
explains PTSD to include intrusive thoughts and flashbacks. Interpersonal trauma refers to injuries
and neglect that can be sustained within families. Children are negatively impacted by neglect because
if the parent is unable to meet the child s basic and psychological needs, then not only is the child at
risk, but the parent is demonstrating irresponsible behavior. This, in turn, becomes the normalcy for
these children and they bring these irresponsible behaviors into adulthood and the

to create, develop and sustain differentiated brand names .
The importance and eminence of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) across the business world
started to increase during 1998 2007. Role conflicts often arise when competing demands like
business goals and social goals are in question. The increase in the sense of social
responsibility, stakeholder pressures and concerns for the environment has heightened the focus of
businesses on CSR. A business that fulfils its CSR sufficiently can expect an improvement in its
financial performance, enhanced brand reputation, a reduction in its operating costs, long term
sustainability, a boost in staff commitment, innovation and production, better risk management, good
relations with its stakeholders and development of closer links with customers. However,in today s
world CSR is not being dealt with serious and proper attention hindering the success of
businesses.Business ethics concern the study of proper trading policies and practices regarding
potentially controversial issues. They are guided by law and are based on a certain scheme that
businesses should follow in order to gain public approval and be successful.CSR embraces
responsibility for the behaviour of companies and motivates them to have a positive contribution and

Adversity In Titus Andronicus
In both Titus Andronicus and Richard II the protagonist must face adversity and prove to their
respective enemies that they have not been defeated. Titus is put in a position where he made a deal
that was broken and Richard has been robbed of his title as king from Bolingbroke. Both characters
use their metaphors when speaking to prove to everyone that they are still powerful when their pride
has been stolen from them.
In Act III Scene I, Titus Andronicus cuts off his hand because he made a deal to exchange his hand for
his sons Quintus and Martius who were framed for the murder of Bassianus (III. 1. 266 287). Aaron in
a later scene states, I trained thy brethren to that guileful hole where the dead corpse of Bassianus lay,
(V. 1. 106 107). A messenger then enters with the heads of Quintus and Martius because the deal was
abandoned. This causes Titus to make a speech about how this action will make him stronger and not
break him. Titus begins by describing his tears after he receives the heads of his sons. He says I have
not another tear to shed, (III. 1. 266) and that he hopes his eyes will make his enemies blind with
tributary tears, (III. 1. 269). Tears typically represent defeat and self pity so Titus refuses to cry. He
has lost many sons and Lavinia is physically broken so his family has experienced a large amount of
pain. The tears that Titus speaks of will blind his enemies as a tribute. This tribute is to all of Titus s
children that have suffered and he

The Country Of Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico is an island that is impacted by not having enough land for cultivation. The Three
thousand four hundred and ninety two square miles of this island is about seventy five percent hills or
mountains (Worldmark Encyclopedia of the States b). With the large amount of land consisting of hill
or mountains, Puerto Rico has limited amounts of natural resources. While under Spanish colonial
rule, the island was largely neglected because of its limited mineral resources. Following the Spanish
American war in 1898, the U.S. took over control of the island. The U.S. found itself in control of an
island that produced small scale amounts of sugar and coffee. The U.S would then expand the
sugarcane operations and establish markets to use as a viable trade resource.
I will be discussing how the country of Puerto Rico s impact of resource scarcity, issues with
boundary delineation, separatism and sovereignty issues, poverty, migration, legacies of colonialism
and imperialism, global climate change and its impact. The once poor nation of Puerto Rico now
seems to be a stepping stone for trading in the Caribbean. With its location in the Caribbean, Puerto
Rico is a major asset for shipping lanes. One of the main reasons the U.S. wanted to take over this
land. Its geographical location is important in helping to move resources around the world, as well as
keeping an eye on Cuba. The economic system of

How Does Nathaniel Hawthorne Use Forgiveness In The...
Forgiveness: Necessity or Courtesy? Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Scarlet Letter, shows how
forgiveness is important both to society and the individual. Whether a spiritual part of life, or just an
act of courtesy, forgiveness plays a huge role in the lives of both Hester and Dimmesdale. Hester
doesn t hold any hard feelings towards her town, even after being shunned and humiliated by her
friends and neighbors. She was a self ordained Sister of Mercy; (126) meaning she was continued to
be kind to others without showing irritation or hatred. Instead she helps those who need it, and made a
good reputation for herself. Who is so kind to the poor, so helpful to the sick, so comfortable to the
afflicted (127). Soon, her scarlet letter became the same thing as a cross would be to a nun. She had
come to peace with her situation, and forgave her townspeople for how they treated her. She had every
right to be bitter, but she made peace through forgiveness and became selfless instead. ... Show more

He believed that he is an accursed thing (113) after what he has done, even though no one, other than
Hester, knows about it. His own lack of forgiveness causes him more suffering than anyone else could
inflict on him. In his mind he believes himself to be unfit for his office and he struggles with whether
or not he should tell everyone the truth. He even tries to set it up by calling himself out but his adoring
congregation seem to admire him all the more. He cannot forgive himself, inflicting not only mental
anguish but physical pain as well. It regresses his beliefs, similar to the old Roman church, with its
self flagellation and other types of penance. He even has nightmares of people finding out and looking
down on him for his hidden sin. There is no peace for Dimmesdale as there is no one to forgive his
crime, as it eats away at him from the inside

Hawthorne s Young Goodman Brown
In the short story Young Goodman Brown by Nathaniel Hawthorne, the reader is left with unanswered
questions about what actually happened to Goodman Brown the night he took an unforgettable
journey into the woods. Therefore, questions form about dream or real life occurrences, and it lingers
over the minds of the readers after this ominous, short story ends. Experience versus imagination in
the short story Young Goodman Brown are questionable because Hawthorne allows the reader to
interpret their own imaginations with evidence to conspire if Brown only had a dream, or if it was all
reality proving that evil lives within everyone.

Everyone on Earth is a sinner, but not everyone is completely evil. However, Faith, both his wife and

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Pcr
Polymerase Chain Reaction
The enzymatic or the molecular xeroxing process in which a particular region of DNA is replicated
several times to yield thousands of copies of a specific sequence is termed as Polymerase chain
reaction (PCR). The process of PCR employs a sophisticated and precise pattern of heating and
cooling of samples in a thermal cycler, over 30 cycles.
Each cycle generates a copy of the target DNA sequence for each molecule incorporating the target
sequence. Oligonucleotide primers define the boundaries of the amplified product which are
complementary to the 3 ends of the target sequence.
Since its invention in 1983 by Kary Mullis; PCR has radically changed our approach to molecular
biology. It brought forward a new perspective in the field of medical sciences and genetics. ... Show

It is a simple technique to understand and use, and it produces results rapidly (Vogel et al., 2012). It is
highly sensitive, with the potential to produce millions to billions of copies of a specific product for
sequencing, cloning, and analysis. This is true of qPCR as well, but qPCR has the advantage of
quantification of the synthesized product. Thus, it can be used to analyze alterations of gene
expression levels in tumors, microbes, or other disease states.
However, PCR also has limitations. Because it is highly sensitive, any form of contamination of the
sample by even trace amounts of DNA can produce misleading results (Vogel et al., 2012; Smith and
Osborn, 2009). In addition, to design primers for PCR, some prior sequence data are needed.
Therefore, PCR can be used only to identify the presence or absence of a known pathogen or gene.
Another limitation is that the primers used for PCR can anneal nonspecifically to sequences that are
similar, but not completely identical, to target DNA. Moreover, incorrect nucleotides can be
incorporated into the PCR sequence by the DNA polymerase, albeit at a very low

How Did Bob Harris Influence The Big Government
Harris was recognized by his followers as a courageous person who had the power to shape the

nurture personal initiatives and ensure positive progress of the economy. ( Citation) On the contrary,
his critics associated him with being dictatorial, ailing healthcare and education systems, increase in
poverty levels amongst the marginalized groups in Ontario, issues of police brutality on a Native

Chaplains care and provide for the members of the Joint Task Force. But what exactly does that mean?
It means simply that we are always going to take your needs seriously and we will do what we can
within our limits to provide for you. This means there will be times when we have to refer you to
someone else. Every chaplain knows they have limits to what they can and cannot do. When presented
with an issue, we listen and then try to determine if we can help you or if there are other resources
available that may be better suited to assist you. You may present a problem to a chaplain and he or

complexity of the issues may need to be addressed at the Joint Stress Mitigation and Restoration
Team. We are going to get you to the right resource in order to best meet your needs. I hope you never

When the camera was on the immigrant workers; it tended to show many workers at a time. The

In the poem Traveling through the Dark by William E. Stafford, there is a individual that had been
peacefully traveling alongside a mountainside road, and he spots a dead female deer that had been
recently killed. Upon closer inspection of the deer, it appeared that she was pregnant with a fawn that
was never to be born. This gave the speaker a sense of hesitation, while he attempted to come up with
a plan that would address the carcass lying in the middle of the road. The sheer rush of adrenaline that
the speaker had faced, as the wilderness watched his every move. The wilderness in this story, had

Right off the bat, we can tell that this poem is based on the free verse type of poetry, as it doesn t have
any particular rhyming scheme. It only occasionally contained half rhymes, such as the words road
and dead . Stafford was known for not having a rhyme scheme in his poems, although occasionally in
a few of his poems, he would like to include it. Seeing as though there was no regular rhyme scheme,
we are also able to tell that the poem does in fact have a irregular meter, meaning there is little to no
rhyme between the lines. Now we venture off into diction, which stands for the choice of words while
writing to convey a typical mood. While reading the poem, we can see the speaker trying to paint a
picture of a gloomy night. He demonstrates this by saying: traveling through the dark , that road is
narrow; to swerve might make more dead and finally, then pushed her over the edge into the river.
Stafford wanted to make us feel the same stress the speaker was in at the time, by painting this picture,
so we the readers can envision what is actually happening. If we move on to imagery, we can see that
when the speaker states that the doe was large in the belly, inferring that there is a unborn fawn in the
deer. This was an example of fine imagery, to which the speaker wanted to demonstrate a vivid idea

Othello s Influence On The World Of Opera
Verdi s Othello has had a profound influence on the world of opera, and considered by many critics to
be his best work. Othello has been performed throughout the world, debuting in over 25 countries
within the first fifty years of its creation (Stanford). It has been performed all over the globe by world
renowned operettists, in theatres such as the Lincoln Center in New York, the Sydney Opera House in
Sydney, and the Bolshoi in Russia. Othello is about a general who is led to believe his wife is cheating
on him, when in reality she is not, and deceived by Iago, a man he trusted. Othello has two love duets
between the same characters, but with very different moods and relationships, which are portrayed
through the dialogue, the stage actions, and most importantly the musical strategies employed.
The opera Othello was written by Verdi, one of the most prominent opera writers in the late 1800 s. He
was born in 1813 in northern Italy, however, most of his work took place in Milan, Italy. This is
where, on February 5th of 1887, Othello was first performed, at the Teatro alla Scala (Stanford). Verdi
s opera Othello is based off of Shakespeare s play Othello, which was written in 1622. Verdi based
many of his operas off of Shakespeare s plays, such as his opera

Macbeth, first performed in 1847, and his opera Falstaff, based on the play The Merry Wives of

Analysis Of Beethoven s 9th Symphony
For the second and final concert report, I listened to the performance of Beethoven s 9th symphony, as
played by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Beethoven lived in Germany during the late 16th and
early 17th centuries, and was an influential figure in the transition between the Classical and Romantic
eras in western music. The performance requires a large number of instruments, with woodwinds,
brass, percussion, strings, and even a choir during the 4th movement. The first movement of
Beethoven s 9th is quick, driving forward and at times giving the feeling of rushed urgency, while
maintaining a composed majesty beneath the surface. This is reflected in the original tempo marking
of allegro ma non troppo, un poco maestoso, meaning literally quickly but not too fast, a little majestic
. The movement begins with a the strings playing intervals over a quiet string tremolo, reminiscent of
an orchestra tuning themselves before a performance. This crescendos to a loud and bombastic
introduction of the first movement s main theme and the introduction of the brass section. The first
movement also makes heavy use of dynamic contrast, with large crescendos that swell in time with the
music and diminuendos that quickly reign in the impressive power of the full symphony orchestra.
The first movement also follows a traditional sonata form, with the main theme having variations
throughout the roughly 18 minutes of play time. Personally, I found the ending of the first movement

The Two X Linked Inheritence
X Linked Inheritence
The topic which is assogned to me is X linked inhertance that is a pattern of inheritance in which the
spread of traits differentiate according to the sex of the individual because the genes which are present
on the X chromosome have no counterparts on the Y chromosome. The inheritance pattern can be
recessive or dominant. The trait firm by a gene on the X chromosome is always expressed in
males.Because we know that males only d have one X chrmosome whichever the disease related to it
will express itself in the individual. Transmission from father to son does not occur. There are two
Kinds of X linked inheritance are X linked dominant inheritance and X linked recessive inheritance.
1 X Linked Recessive Inheritance
Now lets us we some breif explanation of X linked recessive inheritance. it is a mode of inheritance in
which a mutation in a gene on the X chromosome causes the phenotype to be articulated in males
(who are necessarily hemizygous for the gene mutation because they have only one X chromosome)
and in females who are homozygous for the gene mutation (i.e., they have a duplicate of the gene
mutation on both of their two X chromosomes).
X linked inheritance can be expressed as the means that the gene causing the trait or the disorder is
present on the X chromosome. Females have two X chromosomes while males have one X and one Y
chromosome. Carrier females who contain simply one replica of the mutation do not typically state the
phenotype though

Superman And Me Sherman Alexiie Analysis
The expectations that others place on us help us form our own expectation of ourselves, we can also

is the capital of the Aztec empire built on the shores of Lake Texcoco. Aztecs were believed to be
nomads who came from the Toltec tribe. They wandered into the valley of Mexico around 1325 and
started to form villages. They dug canals, drained lakes and converted them into fertile fields. They
also built the beautiful city of Tenochtitlan. The Aztecs were known for human sacrifice, which was
associated to religious rituals. They believed that their gods sacrificed their own lives to sustain the
earth. In return, human blood must be sacrificed to the sun, moon, earth, and vegetation gods to
provide them nourishment to keep the nature and cosmos in balance (Benton DiYanni, pg. 325 326).
The Aztecs arose as the leading force in central Mexico taking the region s city states under their
power by the 15th century. They developed a sophisticated political, social, commercial and religious
organization. However, the Spaniards, led by the Spanish conquistador Hernan Cortes defeated and
conquered the Aztecs in 1521.
The Aztecs highly regarded songs and poetry. During their festivals, they held poetry contests and
presentations that included musicians, acrobats, and players. Music and dance were also important
parts of their rituals and ceremonies. Nezahualcoyotl was one of their famous poets. His poetry
depicted the culture and values of the Aztecs. One example was his poem called

Terry Barrett Analysis
A famous American photographer, Ansel Adams once said, Photography, [is] a powerful medium of
expression and communications, offers an infinite variety of perception, interpretation and execution.
Indeed, this statement is true and explains what photography is all about. In addition, there is evidence
to prove of understanding a photographer s photos, in the Principles for Interpreting Photographs by
Terry Barret. Through Barrett s research, if people interpret photos then everyone will understand the
true meaning of it by asking and answering questions. Also, Barrett said that photography can be
persuasive and omnipresent form of communication and persuasion in popular visual culture ,
likewise, a photo can represent a true story, by

Essay Dichotomy in Seamus Heaney’s Poetry
Dichotomy in Seamus Heaney s Poetry
How much does an artist s life affect the art they produce? One s art certainly can be an expression of
one s surroundings and in this manner the surroundings are woven like a thread into their body of
work. Seamus Heaney, born and raised in Northern Ireland, has grown up with many strong influences
in his life that are visible in his poetry. As Robert Buttel claims in his article on Seamus Heaney the
imprint of this poet s origins is indelibly fixed in his work (180). Living in the bogland as Heaney has
described Northern Ireland left an imprint on his poems, as he often depicts the lush green countryside
and pastoral scenes of his youth. However, he also acknowledges his modern society. ... Show more

All of these dualities in his poetry, his art, can be linked to his biography. The tense social and political
atmosphere he was raised in, the local verses and scholarly education he received, the emotional
fluctuations caused by IRA bombings and peace protests all contribute to the splitness in his poetry.
This poignant dichotomy is seen explicitly in two poems in Seamus Heaney s Field Work. One poem,
The Strand at Lough Beg is written for Heaney s cousin Colum McCartney (ambushed and shot in a
sectarian killing) and is rich with pastoral scenery, dark tones, and religious imagery (Vendler 60).
Another poem, A Postcard from North Antrim is about his friend the social worker Sean Armstrong
(shot by a pointblank teatime bullet ) (Vendler 60). These two elegies, both with a strong presence of
Heaney s personal voice, are imbued with a sort of ambiguity as Heaney struggles with the death of
two people who were both very close to him. In both poems, Heaney tries to converse with and
question the dead in an attempt to rationalize, or at least display his sentiments on the untimely deaths
(Parker 159). It is interesting to watch Heaney oscillate in imagery, tone and diction as he progresses
through both poems. This wavering can be seen as a result of Heaney s background.
Seamus Heaney was born in Mossbawn, 13 April 1939, the place of the family farm in County Derry,
Northern Ireland, nearly 30 miles

  • 3. Odds Against Tomorrow Character Analysis As each day passes, the events that we encounter enters through each and everyone of our minds and becomes an assimilation of experiences. Over a long period of time one s past experiences come to affect how they see newer ones. As each and every experience fills our minds, it creates an expectation or order in which our judgment causes us to assume or create reason for the future to become a certain way. This process can be viewed as perspective, perspective influences your actions, emotions, it can be a complete rulebook for the way a person becomes and acts. In the book Odds Against Tomorrow, by Nathaniel Rich as we explore the world through the eyes of one character, Mitchelle, we began to notice a possibly very eccentric perspective on life and chance. Throughout the book we notice other characters and their views on the same events. This then relays back to previous experiences or life events that these characters have undergone. Overall through the reading we can notice a theme of multiple or different perspectives, that fact of which perspectives are right or where these perspectives come from is determined by the reader. One can simply conclude that because of the past experiences or events that an individual has encountered throughout their life this then becomes a major deciding factor in their new perceptive. This perspective can change, as the events that we experience come to change as well. For example an overflow of optimism may be encountered after one ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Women In Arthurian Mythology Arthurian legends may seem to only depict knights in shining armor saving damsels in distress or powerful kings with queens sitting idly by their sides, but upon closer inspection, those women were not as delicate as initially portrayed. In fact, there were many influential women who played critical roles in the men s decisions. Significant ones included the Lady of the Lake, the moon goddess, Morgan Le Fay, the all powerful fairy, and Guinevere, the mere mortal that everybody envied because of her beauty. All three were beautiful enchantresses characterized by being shrouded in mystery, refusing to reveal the true intentions behind their deliberate actions. This stereotype dates back to the Middle Ages and is related to the old church. During the middle ages, the medieval Church regulated guilds and dominant positions in guilds belonged to Christians. Since the Jewish community was not tolerated, they had to change their trade. The Church allowed the Jews to be money lenders but not other professions where they may be competition for Christians. Being a money lender was an ideal job for the Jewish man because if he was persecuted in his community, he could leave and find employment elsewhere. In Act III Scene I, Titus Andronicus cuts off his hand because he made a deal to exchange his hand for his sons Quintus and Martius who were framed for the murder of Bassianus (III. 1. 266 287). Hawthorne s Young Goodman Brown In the short story Young Goodman Brown by Nathaniel Hawthorne, the reader is left with unanswered questions about what actually happened to Goodman Brown the night he took an unforgettable journey into the woods. Therefore, questions form about dream or real life occurrences, and it lingers over the minds of the readers after this ominous, short story ends. Experience versus imagination in the short story Young Goodman Brown are questionable because Hawthorne allows the reader to interpret their own imaginations with evidence to conspire if Brown only had a dream, or if it was all reality proving that evil lives within everyone. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Pcr Polymerase Chain Reaction The enzymatic or the molecular xeroxing process in which a particular region of DNA is replicated several times to yield thousands of copies of a specific sequence is termed as Polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The process of PCR employs a sophisticated and precise pattern of heating and cooling of samples in a thermal cycler, over 30 cycles. Each cycle generates a copy of the target DNA sequence for each molecule incorporating the target sequence. Oligonucleotide primers define the boundaries of the amplified product which are complementary to the 3 ends of the target sequence. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is a simple technique to understand and use, and it produces results rapidly (Vogel et al., 2012). It is highly sensitive, with the potential to produce millions to billions of copies of a specific product for sequencing, cloning, and analysis. This is true of qPCR as well, but qPCR has the advantage of quantification of the synthesized product. Thus, it can be used to analyze alterations of gene expression levels in tumors, microbes, or other disease states. However, PCR also has limitations. Because it is highly sensitive, any form of contamination of the sample by even trace amounts of DNA can produce misleading results (Vogel et al., 2012; Smith and Osborn, 2009). In addition, to design primers for PCR, some prior sequence data are needed. Therefore, PCR can be used only to identify the presence or absence of a known pathogen or gene. Another limitation is that the primers used for PCR can anneal nonspecifically to sequences that are similar, but not completely identical, to target DNA. Moreover, incorrect nucleotides can be incorporated into the PCR sequence by the DNA polymerase, albeit at a very low ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Right off the bat, we can tell that this poem is based on the free verse type of poetry, as it doesn t have any particular rhyming scheme. It only occasionally contained half rhymes, such as the words road and dead . Stafford was known for not having a rhyme scheme in his poems, although occasionally in a few of his poems, he would like to include it. Seeing as though there was no regular rhyme scheme, we are also able to tell that the poem does in fact have a irregular meter, meaning there is little to no rhyme between the lines. Now we venture off into diction, which stands for the choice of words while writing to convey a typical mood. While reading the poem, we can see the speaker trying to paint a picture of a gloomy night. He demonstrates this by saying: traveling through the dark , that road is narrow; to swerve might make more dead and finally, then pushed her over the edge into the river. Stafford wanted to make us feel the same stress the speaker was in at the time, by painting this picture, so we the readers can envision what is actually happening. • 37. Othello s Influence On The World Of Opera Verdi s Othello has had a profound influence on the world of opera, and considered by many critics to be his best work. Othello has been performed throughout the world, debuting in over 25 countries within the first fifty years of its creation (Stanford). It has been performed all over the globe by world renowned operettists, in theatres such as the Lincoln Center in New York, the Sydney Opera House in Sydney, and the Bolshoi in Russia. Othello is about a general who is led to believe his wife is cheating on him, when in reality she is not, and deceived by Iago, a man he trusted. Othello has two love duets between the same characters, but with very different moods and relationships, which are portrayed through the dialogue, the stage actions, and most importantly the musical strategies employed. The opera Othello was written by Verdi, one of the most prominent opera writers in the late 1800 s. He was born in 1813 in northern Italy, however, most of his work took place in Milan, Italy. This is where, on February 5th of 1887, Othello was first performed, at the Teatro alla Scala (Stanford). Verdi s opera Othello is based off of Shakespeare s play Othello, which was written in 1622. Beethoven lived in Germany during the late 16th and early 17th centuries, and was an influential figure in the transition between the Classical and Romantic eras in western music. The performance requires a large number of instruments, with woodwinds, brass, percussion, strings, and even a choir during the 4th movement. The first movement of Beethoven s 9th is quick, driving forward and at times giving the feeling of rushed urgency, while maintaining a composed majesty beneath the surface. This is reflected in the original tempo marking of allegro ma non troppo, un poco maestoso, meaning literally quickly but not too fast, a little majestic . The movement begins with a the strings playing intervals over a quiet string tremolo, reminiscent of an orchestra tuning themselves before a performance. This crescendos to a loud and bombastic introduction of the first movement s main theme and the introduction of the brass section. The first movement also makes heavy use of dynamic contrast, with large crescendos that swell in time with the music and diminuendos that quickly reign in the impressive power of the full symphony orchestra. The first movement also follows a traditional sonata form, with the main theme having variations throughout the roughly 18 minutes of play time. The inheritance pattern can be recessive or dominant. The trait firm by a gene on the X chromosome is always expressed in males.Because we know that males only d have one X chrmosome whichever the disease related to it will express itself in the individual. Transmission from father to son does not occur. There are two Kinds of X linked inheritance are X linked dominant inheritance and X linked recessive inheritance. 1 X Linked Recessive Inheritance Now lets us we some breif explanation of X linked recessive inheritance. it is a mode of inheritance in which a mutation in a gene on the X chromosome causes the phenotype to be articulated in males (who are necessarily hemizygous for the gene mutation because they have only one X chromosome) and in females who are homozygous for the gene mutation (i.e., they have a duplicate of the gene mutation on both of their two X chromosomes). X linked inheritance can be expressed as the means that the gene causing the trait or the disorder is present on the X chromosome. Females have two X chromosomes while males have one X and one Y chromosome. Carrier females who contain simply one replica of the mutation do not typically state the phenotype though ... Aztecs were believed to be nomads who came from the Toltec tribe. They wandered into the valley of Mexico around 1325 and started to form villages. They dug canals, drained lakes and converted them into fertile fields. They also built the beautiful city of Tenochtitlan. The Aztecs were known for human sacrifice, which was associated to religious rituals. They believed that their gods sacrificed their own lives to sustain the earth. In return, human blood must be sacrificed to the sun, moon, earth, and vegetation gods to provide them nourishment to keep the nature and cosmos in balance (Benton DiYanni, pg. 325 326). One s art certainly can be an expression of one s surroundings and in this manner the surroundings are woven like a thread into their body of work. Seamus Heaney, born and raised in Northern Ireland, has grown up with many strong influences in his life that are visible in his poetry. As Robert Buttel claims in his article on Seamus Heaney the imprint of this poet s origins is indelibly fixed in his work (180). Living in the bogland as Heaney has described Northern Ireland left an imprint on his poems, as he often depicts the lush green countryside and pastoral scenes of his youth. However, he also acknowledges his modern society. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... All of these dualities in his poetry, his art, can be linked to his biography. The tense social and political atmosphere he was raised in, the local verses and scholarly education he received, the emotional fluctuations caused by IRA bombings and peace protests all contribute to the splitness in his poetry. This poignant dichotomy is seen explicitly in two poems in Seamus Heaney s Field Work. One poem, The Strand at Lough Beg is written for Heaney s cousin Colum McCartney (ambushed and shot in a sectarian killing) and is rich with pastoral scenery, dark tones, and religious imagery (Vendler 60). Another poem, A Postcard from North Antrim is about his friend the social worker Sean Armstrong (shot by a pointblank teatime bullet ) (Vendler 60). These two elegies, both with a strong presence of Heaney s personal voice, are imbued with a sort of ambiguity as Heaney struggles with the death of two people who were both very close to him. In both poems, Heaney tries to converse with and question the dead in an attempt to rationalize, or at least display his sentiments on the untimely deaths (Parker 159). It is interesting to watch Heaney oscillate in imagery, tone and diction as he progresses through both poems. This wavering can be seen as a result of Heaney s background.
