Management Style Essay
Introduction
Today s paper is about management styles. I will discuss things; such as what management is and
what are the good and poor qualities of managers. In addition; do these conditions change based on
the social environment, work environment or home environment? Last, I will discuss the results of my
management quiz. This part of the discussion will focus on whether or not I agree or disagree with
those results.
What do you define as management?
Management equals having the ability to lead, plan, organize, control, make decisions, and direct
others in achieving an organization s goals and their mission. Managers perform many ... Show more

Do the qualities change based on different situations? It is my belief that these qualities do not change.
Leadership roles are all around us, not just in a work environment (SkillsYouNeed, 2015). They can be
applied to any situation where you are required to take the lead, professionally, socially and at home in
family settings (SkillsYouNeed, 2015). I do not feel that you can just dismiss these qualities whenever
you wish. However, I feel that you need to be able to adapt to whatever environment you find
yourself.
Do you agree with the results of your management quiz? I agree with the outcome of the exam. Taking
the test was an excellent experiment! It allowed me to see whether or not I would make a good
manager. According to the results, a managerial position would be in line with my personality. The test
result indicated that I had the ability to manage and govern myself. It lets me know; I have the
capacity to control and supervise others. As stated before if one can not govern one s self, it makes no
sense attempting to direct others. According to the exam; when it comes to managing my team s work
it states It sounds like you are getting your staff on the same page about goals and plans to achieve
them, delegating well, and ensuring results match what you are looking for (Management Center,
2015).
Conclusion
Today, I discussed management styles. I also explained things; such as what management is and what

The American Dream in Steinbeck s Of Mice and Men Essay
The American Dream in Steinbeck s Of Mice and Men
Of Mice and Men is a story set during the 1930 s America, this was a time when the great depression
had hit the world. This novel was written by John Steinbeck who had based most of his work in the
story location. The main aspect of this story evolves around the American dream, and how it is
perceived by the characters. The American dream is an expression for everything great in life; it is
based on a dream that has a future with happiness. The term American Dream shows the positive parts
of America, it meant hope; happiness and security were truly possible.
During colonial time there were two main parts of America, the east and west that ... Show more

This was the start of the Great Depression that would affect the whole world during the 1930s.
However the dream survived for individuals. Thousands made their way west to California to escape
from their farmlands in the mid West. George and Lennie dreamt of their little house and a couple of
acres . The growing popularity of cinema was the last American Dream for many.
Eventually the poor farmers could not maintain their land so they moved westwards towards
California. These people were known as migrant workers as they were constantly migrating around
the country to follow the harvest. These people lived in fear and poverty in which they had no family
or friends to trust. Of Mice and Men is a story of how two migrant workers lives are inspired by hope.
In this essay I will compare the American dream to the reality in which the migrant workers are
subjected to. In this story there are many aspects that we have to take into consideration which
includes the many themes portrayed by Steinbeck and the reality in which they suffer. The series of
events is set around four days and in this time a lot happens so every part of the story is vital. I will
work chronologically through out the story so I can see how the plot develops. I will focus my essay
on how the main characters dream is influenced by their reality.

Corporal Punishment and the Effects of Its Usage
Corporal Punishment and the effects of its usage Corporal punishment is the ability to make physical
contact as a form of punishment for reprimanding ones behavior. Corporal punishment versus positive
reinforcement while they both serve their purpose corporal punishment is known to be more effective.
The most common form of disciplining has always been either a spanking, corporal punishment has
been dated all the way back to biblical times. Now the corporal punishment that occurred during
biblical and slavery times might not be for the greater good, however the individuals who owned
slaves thought it to help one complete their job quicker and better. If one slave didn t do something
properly or escaped corporal punishment was enforced which resulted in receiving a beating from a
long strap; this is form of corporal punishment is actual abuse, yet it deterred other slaves from
committing the same actions as others. As a result corporal punishment has been around for years and
serves its purpose for every aspect in life. Throughout my book I ll be explaining the effectiveness of
corporal punishment versus positive reinforcement. The effectiveness of corporal punishment is
something that is much more than whooping a child for wrongful doing, but it s a deterrence
mechanism within households and even schools. As a result of corporal punishment it can have a
positive and negative effect it is something that works different on all individuals, positive

Analyzing Webster s Definition Of A Vacation
Taking time to escape reality is indeed necessary for finding serenity within yourself. Homosapiens
often do this by removing themselves from their normal setting and going to an unfamiliar area. This
is referred to as a getaway, recreation, or a sojourn. These three terms essentially all mean the familiar
term vacation. Webster s definition of vacation is simple:
1: an extended period of recreation, especially one spent away from home or in traveling.
A definition such as this one is quite broad and can imply that there are many scenarios which can be
classified as a vacation. Read further for enlightenment.
How to Identify Vacations
To even be considered a vacation, the period of time spent away from home setting must be, at least,
one weekend. Weekend getaways allow just enough time for the mind and ... Show more content on

This is usually done by families with infuriating small children that whine about being hungry or
having to use the restroom for the fifth time in approximately one hour. The most common road trips
would be driving through all fifty states, visiting each national park, driving from coast to coast or
along one coast. To cope with the amount of driving required for this type of vacation, families will
often stay at a hotel for the night after a day s worth of driving. If done by a group of friends with no
responsibility of youngsters, driving non stop throughout the night is typically done by switching
drivers every three hours or so.
These are only a few ways to undergo vacations. As said earlier, the definition of vacation is vaguely
stated and can implies that there are many scenarios in which it can be classified. Whether you call it a
getaway, recreation or a sojourn, take a vacation. Go as many places as possible. One can always
make money. One can t always make memories. An anonymous person inspirationally said We travel

Course Project Introduction The goal of this document is to come up with a proposal for the company
IP PBX system. In this proposal I will introduce several different Voice over IP vendors, each fully
qualified to becoming our company s new IP PBX system. Only one of the vendors will be selected
based on the criteria laid out by the Chief Information Officer. The vendors I will be evaluating are
Avaya, Genesys, Interactive Intelligence, Mitel, and Siemens. As I mentioned earlier, each one of
these vendors are fully qualified to becoming our company s new IP PBX system but only one ...

This includes email, chat, voice mail, IVR, outbound dial, CTI integration, URL browsing, and CRM
support. Genesys scores very high marks on email, chat, voice mail, IVR, and URL browsing. IVR or
interactive voice response is a system that interacts with callers to gather information and to route
calls to specific employees or agents. The Genesys reports that their IVR system can improve
customer experience by reducing live agent calls by 80%, increase automation rate by 10% with 1.5
million saved annually, and decrease agent talk time by 40% with their intelligent IVR system. The
Genesys IVR system comparable to the Mitel and Siemens IVR systems, which also scored high
marks as well however Genesys edges out the other two in the other categories. Computer telephony
integration is feature that is also very important for the IP PBX system to support. CTI allows
employees or agents to use their computer to initiate and manage calls. It also allows the computer to
direct calls to the right department. The Genesys SoundBite CTI Connect platform has several features
to help call center agent be productive at the workplace. Some of these features include screen pops,
intelligent call routing, and dynamic call pacing into the contact

Theme Of Betrayal In Jane Eyre
In the novel, Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Brontë there were many incidents that had affected the overall
plot of the book. Sometimes an author adds certain events or ideas to help accentuate the plot. In this
novel there is a recurring theme of betrayal. The one that seems to be affected by the curse of betrayal
the most is the main character, Jane Eyre, herself. Her first encounter with betrayal came about when
she was still just a child. And as she grew older and experienced the world new ways unlike before,
she could never escape the curse of betrayal. Jane s first encounter with betrayal was when she was
still a child and her Uncle Reed brought her along to live with him and his family in Gateshead, after
Jane s parents had passed away. Jane s Uncle Reed had promised to raise her as if she were one of his
own children. However, this only lasted until Uncle Reed passed away. After Jane s uncle had passed,
Jane s aunt and her three children had mistreated her and in some cases physically abused. On one
particular day she was minding her own business whilst reading Bewick s History of British Birds, her
obnoxious cousin John Reed was looking for Jane. Once he finds her, he treats her as if she was
inferior to him, he wants his cousin to refer to him as Master Reed. This already not being indicative
of raising Jane as one of their own, her cousin John continues to undermine her even more and takes
the book from her and ends up throwing it at her causing her to get a cut by

Essay On Virtual Laboratory
Laboratory experience especially in engineering is a key factor to give technical education to the
students. In the fast development of IT, virtual laboratory become an option in engineering field. The
importance of laboratory experience in engineering education has long been recognized. The fact is, is
virtual laboratory a good substitute to replace traditional laboratory or still have some weak point that
need to be reconsidered in order to replace it? In this topic, I will discuss about the merit and demerits
of the use of virtual laboratory in engineering.

As we all know, with the development of ICT, engineering education through ODL is never a dream
and Virtual Laboratory is also one of the ODL tool. It makes no difference for students to either
conduct the experiment in a campus or doing it in their home. It is very convenient as student do not
need to go to physical laboratories to do the experiment. They can conduct it at anywhere and anytime
whenever they want.
As we all know, during the process of conducting an experiment, safety is the main concern. With the
use of virtual laboratory, there is no safe concerns as compared to real laboratory. It is very useful
especially when it comes to experiments that may cause harm to human body.
Virtual laboratory also provide educational benefits. One of it is virtual laboratory let students to learn
methodology, pedagogy and user friendly. In normal laboratory class, some student did not really able
to understand some concepts that teach in the lab. However, studies have found that instead of using
the real lab, it is easier for the students to learn difficult and complex concepts through the virtual
laboratory. Studies also found that students are more active in learning in a virtual laboratory rather
than in a real lab class. This is because virtual laboratory provides a user friendly environment and
easy to understand the concepts. Experiments can be repeated many times and there are no
inconveniences in failing the

The Secession Crisis Of 1860-1861
Between 1846 and 1861, many events had impacts on the United States that lead up to the secession
crisis of 1860 1861. Slavery had great impacts on the country, such as the economic effect of the
South overestimating its importance due to the prevalence of slave grown cotton. Westward expansion
had the social effect of the citizens of territories wanting statehood to get into arguments and civil
wars due to popular sovereignty. States rights had the political effect of the southern states believing
that since they agreed to become part of the United States, they could just as easily leave the country.
Without a doubt, the social, economic, and political effects of slavery, westward expansion, and states
rights lead to the secession crisis of 1860 1861, with the political effects being seen the greatest.
Slavery had major economic and social effects that lead up to the secession crisis of 1860 1861.
Slavery had the largest effect on the secession crisis, as compared to westward expansion and states
rights. Slavery had the largest effect on the secession crisis because economically, it made the South
overestimate its importance. With large number of slaves working on plantations, the plantations could
produce a lot of goods to send to the North. One major export from the South to the North was cotton.
Since the North was heavily reliant on Southern cotton, the South believed that if they would secede
they would cripple the North s economy, making the North more likely to

Hills Like White Elephant Figurative Language
Ernest Hemingway, the author of Hills like White Elephants will leave his readers guessing due to his
vague information put into his short story, ¨Hills like White Elephants¨. The understanding of
figurative language, sensory details, and the use inferencing skills are needed to interpret what the
author is trying to get across. If the short story is analyzed carefully the reader will understand that the
couple in the story are deciding whether or not to have an abortion. Although abortion is never
blatantly said it is shown through prolific figurative language. Symbolism, simile, and conflict are all
prominent examples of figurative language throughout Hemingway s Hills like White Elephant .
Symbolism is one of the biggest examples ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Traditionally, a white elephant is a useless possession that is more times than not, unwanted. In today s
world we see white elephant gift exchanges where people will exchange unwanted gifts to one
another, usually popular among work colleagues or family gatherings. In Hills like White Elephants
the white elephant is the baby that Jig is unexpectedly carrying. Even though the couple is in love
neither the man nor the girl can decide what to do with the child the are expecting. The baby would
indeed be a gift, but it would also be a burden, this can be discovered when the man states that We ll
be fine afterward. Just like we were before (Hemingway 476). The man obviously believes that if they
decide to keep the baby then it will prevent them from doing things they want to continue doing, and
that is clear because he continues to badger Jig about the situation they are in that it made Jig beg the
man to stop, she pleads, Would you please please please please please please please stop talking?
(478). By this it is clear that Jig is truly concerned about the situation that affects her life and just
wants to stop talking about everything. It is clear that the american man does not want to have the
baby, the man has therefore treated Jig s pregnancy like a burden or an illness (Rankin 236).
Throughout the short story the man has obviously been for the abortion and does not

Ancient Chinese Ink Techniques In The 21st Century
Ancient Chinese Ink Techniques in the 21st Century.
As the paint brush dips into the paint and watching the brush the brush form perfect lines, knowing
that the art that is being created is what one is expressing. Art and design has been influencing our
lives since the dawn of the ages. Art has been created on cave walls, has been formed in architecture,
and continues to grow and expand. Art is very beautiful, but also is a matter of expression. Art can
mean many things such as love, concern, anger, desire, and politics. Two Chinese born ink artists by
the name of Zhang Daqain, and Hua Tunan have become well known traditional Chinese ink artists.
More known for his landscape designs, Zhang Daqain has incorporated splashes and pops of color in
these traditional looking drawings. Through the decades, other artists have learned traditional ink
drawings but have also developed other artistic ways to express who they are. For example, one artist,
Hua Tunan, is a young artist who has experimented with graffiti and in his favor, was a success. Both
artists are advocates for nature being their primary subjects. From mountainous ranges to flowers, to
detailed portraits of animals, these paintings bring awareness to people about the beauty on our planet.
One of Zhang s work from Art of Asian Landscapes contains bold colors just like in Hua Tunan s art
like his ink splattered tiger. Zhang Daqain and Hua tunan are both amazing artists that have created

Furthermore, gullies started appearing in bigger quantities due to soil erosion, and this is best
described by one downpour in November 1668 [that] opened a gully in the churchyard of Christ
Church parish that carried 1,500 coffins and their contents out to sea (McNeill 28). Moreover, not only
are these marshes bad for plantations, it was also an ideal situation for mosquitoes. To make the
situation even worse, the birds that were the main predators to the mosquitoes have now exited the
ecosystem. Despite this, Barbados was largely free of malarial mosquitoes, but other islands weren t
so lucky. When the Europeans made their transatlantic voyages, in addition to trading slaves and
commodities, yellow fever and malaria managed to sneak their way onto the slave ships. Due to the
sheer quantity of slaves needed to run a sugarmill, these slave ships were often crowded beyond
capacity and its cramped and damp hulls provided a haven for mosquitoes infected with numerous
diseases. And these unfortunate islands became hubs for spreading malaria and yellow fever. Perhaps
the best way to illustrate the deadliness of these diseases is to bring up the Haitian Revolution in St.

their French rival. When the army arrived, the planters and whites in general welcomed them, and so

I am Jake Savino, but I have not always known that. I have not truly discovered my identity, who I am
as a person, or what I was put on this planet to do, until recent years. I live a life guided by morality,
driven by passion, and inspired by my loved ones.
My passion is to work in bioethics for a specialty hospital. I gained an emotional connection to the
healthcare field at a very young age, but did not quite know how to make this into my future. It is still
very much a learning process for me; one that I reflect on every minute of every day. I have become
drawn to the dichotomies of the world, specifically in healthcare. I tend to think about things in a very

happen if one does not know what options of care are available. Those are the types of atrocities that
are happening today. Very few people are looking out for the common man and people die every day,
needlessly, as a result.
Another person, also very near and dear to my heart, has helped develop my values into my sought

an organization called Countryside Association for People with Disabilities. People like David are
turned down from healthcare all the time because our health system renders them as functioning adults
when, in fact, they are not capable of living on their own at all. If such wonderful parents had not
adopted David, the state would not provide care for him past age twenty four, other than providing
income for disability. David cannot manage himself. The fact that there are people in the world
struggling with similar issues, and nobody to advocate for them worries me.
I believe that everyone deserves the right to the best care available without the basis of income,
employment, or social standing. I believe cutting edge approaches need to be offered to

It is quite unfortunate that most companies management only deals with the administrative, marketing
and sales, and the production part of the company business, but felt the IT operations should be left
solely to the IT personnel. In the long run, according to this chapter, the information security aspect of
the company will suffer and remain underdeveloped because of lack of attention. However, if there is
any security breach or attack, the top management will be the first point of contact. The top
management will be held accountable and responsible for not adhering to the business practices.
This chapter emphasizes on the need for management to assign responsibilities and also to make sure
that adequate funds are available for the kick off of security programs and its implementation.
Management role and support cannot be overemphasized when it comes to the issue of security
management.
This chapter also addresses the way decisions on security issue should be channeled. This chapter
advised that security program should be driven in a top down approach. In this case, the top
management will drive, , support and give directions for the security program, which will then be
passed over to the middle management staff and then to member staffs.
Also, this chapter illustrates how the control measure should be designed to make sure that access are

Economic Policies Implemented During President Reagan s...
Reaganomics refers to economic policies implemented during President Reagan s administration from
1981 1989. The main ideology of Reaganomics was conservation which promoted that government is
the problem, not solution . That means, society and market would function better with limited
government power and regulations. Accordingly, Social wealth was distributed by unrestricted market,
and profits that capitalists earned would trickle down to the bottom of society. In this way, people
were in charge of improving their lives instead of relying on the aid of government. In order to recover
from the economic crisis occurred between 1981and1982, the major Reaganomics objectives was to
reduce government intervention in business and social aids. The policies were specified as marginal
tax cut, tightening money supply, reducing social welfare programs and regulations. Generally,
Reaganomics that impact citizens the most would be tax cut, reducing welfares and regulations.
First of all, the marginal tax cut was one of the most significant policy in the governing of President
Reagan. Starting from 1981, government reduced individual tax (the top tax rate was reduced from
70% to 50 %) and Windfall profit tax. As the Tax reform act of 1986 published, the tax rate of
wealthiest Americans was decline to 28 % and corporation tax was decreased to 34%. In addition, as
marginal tax rate for wealthy people decreasing, personal exemption amount increased from $1,080 to
$2,000. That means,

They also chose to write the article in a passive voice so words such as I, you, or we but rather he, she,
or their were not included. Which is true to how nurses have to document helping build the trust of the
intended audience. The sentences are fairly long with about 20 words per sentence. Using the Flesch
Kincaid Reading Age equation I can deduce the reading level is a collegian level. This is appropriate
because again this is intended for nurses who have to complete at least an associate s degree. Looking
at the reading level I m surprised I was able to read it fairly painlessly though every once and while it
was difficult due to passive voice. The article isn t completely made of their own information. It was
well researched using various references. The article very rarely directly quotes its sources it normally
paraphrases the information then adds a superscript with the number corresponding to the citation. The
article didn t use APA or MLA formatting instead it uses CMS which is odd for a nursing article. CMS
is normally used in history and fields of humanities so it sort of makes sense though nursing normally
falls under science leaning more articles to be APA. The journal this article was published in

Angels in America Essay
Angels in America
Everyone has his or her own personal faults in life. Some are looked down upon more for their issues
than others are. Homosexual relationships are considered sacrilegious and unethical, so much that we
scrutinize persons having those relations. We as a society should not look down upon individuals
whose sexual preference is different from our own.
The 80 s were a time of economic growth and global power. It is also the setting for Tony Kushner s

Joe is married to Harper, a woman who is addicted to Valium. He is like Roy Cohn in that he is a well
respected person whose career would be affected if it came out that he was gay. Joe s situation is
different from Roy s because he is a married man that is on an adventurous path towards love. He is
experimenting with his sexuality, not really sure of what path to take. When Joe tells his mother,
Hannah, she is furious and does not believe him. Her Mormon son is a homosexual, a hard concept for
her to understand. He is scared to reveal his secret life to society for the fear of resentment. This is true
in society that we criticize those who are in a homosexual relationship. Mathew Sheppard is an
obvious example. He was a teenager murdered because he was gay in a society that does not accept
such behavior. Whose at fault for his murder, his killers or society?

Paul Janeczko s Narrative Style
Narrative and expository are writing styles used to present ideas to a reader. Narrative uses story
elements while expository focuses on central ideas and supporting details. The Dark Game by Paul
Janeczko and The Code Book by Simon Singh both explore aspects of espionage and the importance
of code, but their organization, tone, and style are quite different.
In The Dark Game, Janeczko presents factual information in a story like way that is entertaining to the
reader. The text is written in a narrative style with vivid descriptions and conversational elements. The
details and events are depicted in chronological order. Janeczko uses show instead of tell to display
information and is focused on the stories of spies in different times. By telling

T Pentyl Chloride Lab Report Essay
Synthesis of t Pentyl Chloride Introduction: Using SN1 reaction mechanism with hydrochloric acid, t
Pentyl alcohol was converted to t Pentyl chloride in an acid catalyzed reaction. The reaction took
place in a separatory funnel designed to separate immiscible liquids. The crude product was extracted
by transferring a solute from one solvent to another. The process of washing the solutions by phase
transfer was used in order to remove impurities from the main solvent layer. Finally, the crude product
was dried with anhydrous Calcium chloride and purified once more by simple distillation technique.

Once inverted, built up gas was released by turning the stopcock to its opened and closed positions.
This was repeated for about four times in one minute intervals. Then the layers were allowed to settle
until a separation between liquids could be observed. Due to the low density of the product, the top
layer was to be extracted. The bottom layer was carefully and slowly extracted out of the separatory
funnel. The crude product was washed by taking the reaction product in the separatory funnel and
adding 23 mL of deionized H2O. The mixture was shaken and allowed to settle until layers were
observable. The top layer was the desired product and approximately 25 mL of aqueous layer was
extracted from the separatory funnel. Next, 25 mL of 5% NaHCO3 was added to the separatory funnel
in order to neutralize the acid. This mixture was swirled, plugged with the stopper and inverted. Built

layers were observable. The bottom layer that contained salt, base and water was extracted from the
separatory funnel. The crude product was washed again as mentioned previously. The wet, crude
product was placed into the 50 mL Erlenmeyer flask. Small amounts of CaCl2 were added to dry the
solution. The flask was sealed and the mixture was swirled and left to settle. Once

Research On The Learning Of An Educational Setup Essay
1.0 Introduction
New Zealand social researchers Carl Davidson and Martin Tolich (1999) point out that research fulfils
three roles exploring, describing and explaining (as cited in Mutch, 2005, p. 16). Research helps to
add more qualitative information to an existing body of knowledge or helps to decipher a problem
existing in an educational setup. Sometimes, research tends to bring into light certain issues that
required attention. Baumfield and Butterworth (2005) suggest that engagement in research by teachers
has a positive impact on the learning of the pupils in their classrooms (as cited in Menter, Elliot,
Hulme, Lewin, Lowden, 2011, p. 14).
Having taught General Science to primary and middle school students (ages 9 11) and Chemistry to
secondary section students (ages 13 15), I have observed a change in the students approach towards
the study of Science. As the students progressed to higher grades, they started losing their interest in
science. Applying scientific concepts in practical scenarios became a challenging process and yet,
many continued to study science simply due to the pressure of choosing a career in the field of
medicine or engineering.
2.0 Aim of my research
As a science teacher, lesson planning involves setting specific learning objectives and predicting the
expected outcomes. On learning a scientific concept, the students are taught to build up on the concept
and eventually look at the final scientific theory that resonates with their

officers are equipped to handle very dangerous situations on a regular basis. Every time you think
about an S.W.A.T team you think of a heavily armed, highly trained officers responding in a very
aggressive matter. Tactical based teams are always offensive minded. They want to neutralize the
situation as quickly and efficiently as possible. When people see a swat team or tactical team on the

they aren t the ones causing the unfair treatment in our society. I wonder why individuals go against
their own people when it s the ones who are in charge of decision making who we should be angry

Payday Loans Advantages
A payday loan is an option if you find yourself in need of quick cash. However, it should not be your
first option. Payday loans can be costly. They have to be paid back in full when you get your next
paycheck. Your credit will suffer if you do not pay the loan back on time.
Many people have trouble getting out of debt because of payday loans. That is why it is essential for
you to explore all of the alternatives before getting a payday loan.
Alternatives To Payday Loans
Consumer Credit Counseling

You will not have to worry about paying any interest as long as you pay the balance off in full by the
payment due date. You can also get a cash advance on your credit card.
Overdraft Protection
Most banks today offer overdraft protection with their checking accounts. If you overdraw your
account, then the funds will automatically be transferred from the credit card or savings account to
your checking account. Banks will usually charge a small fee for this transfer. However, this fee is
usually less than the amount that you will have to pay in interest on a payday loan.
Borrow From Your Retirement Fund
If you have a 401K or IRA plan, then you can borrow funds from it. There are no penalties for this if
you pay the funds back by the due date. On the other hand, you may have to pay additional fees and
income tax if you do pay the money back by the due date.
Blue Trust Loans
A blue trust loan is a type of installment loan. It is a great alternative to a payday loan because you
have more time to pay it back. The interest rates are also a lot lower on blue trust loans. In order to
qualify for a blue trust loan, you must be at least 18 years old and have a checking account. Your
income must also meet or exceed the lender s requirements.

Brisket Persuasive Speech
With all other foods, there s a right way and a wrong way. With brisket, there s only my way.
Psychotherapist and top brisket maker Phyllis Cohen. Those are some good words to sum up brisket,
because everyone thinks the way do it is the way. In my family smoking is a tradition, we ve been
doing it for about 5 years me and my dad but we do have a little history in it. We use a great blend of
savory spice to make the brisket have the best flavor it can possibly have. But the most important start
to the whole process is selecting the right brisket. A good brisket should have a nice fat cap in the top,
and should have a very good marble to the meat. If not your brisket will be as dry as a shoes leather.
After selecting the most prime brisket it s time to get down to my favorite part. It s prep time, this is
even more key than selecting the brisket. What you need to do now is take the fat cap that is about ½
inch thick and cut that down to roughly ¼ to and ⅛ inch. But this is all dependent on your liking and
what you think. Now that you have trimmed up the fat cap you need to move on the the deckle. The
deckle is a thick layer of fat that runs between the point and the flat. This will not render with a little
trimming up, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Attachment Of Monkeys
Attachment is defined in the book as a close emotional bond between two people, they focus on the
bonds between parents and children, as well as, bonds between intimate couples. There are numerous
theories on why children become attached to their parents. For instance, Freud believed that the
attachment was attributed to the oral satisfaction of being fed. However, Harry Harlow conducted an
experiment with monkeys that showed the infant monkeys sought out a clothed mother over a wire
mother which indicated that their attachment was driven from security and comfort more than just
being fed since both fed the monkeys. Erikson seemed to agree with Harlow since his first phase
includes comfort from parents being essential in building trust.

U-Boat Tactics in World War II
In September of 2012, Germany s last surviving U Boat captain who helped sink dozens of U.S. and
British ships has been honoured by the modern military in his homeland seven decades after he was
twice decorated by Hitler for bravery. It may seem grim to honor a person who referred to American
shooting season as his hobby during the war, but it is important to recognize the contributions of U
Boat commanders like Reinhard Hardegen. German submarines had been an engineering vision since
1465, and preliminary German submarines were being manufactured as early as 1850 with Sebastian
Wilhelm Valentin Bauer s Brandtaucher design. The Brandtaucher was much improved upon during
the Industrial Age, which represented the peak of Kaiserdom in Germany. With its financial coffers
relatively full, the Kaiser was able to fund designs such as those by Vogel in 1870 and Howaldt in
1891. However, Gustav Zede designed the Forelle (named after the much beloved German trout fish)
and it was the first truly successful German submarine and was launched in 1903. From these early
submarines evolved one of the world s most evocative killing machines, the U Boats. Leading up to
the development of the U Boat were a series of military escalations, culminating in the start of the
Great War. Throughout modern German history, military technologies like the U Boat have been
integral to strategic planning. Even when decisions regarding U Boat development and deployment
seemed senseless, as it

Camila Essay
The 1984 Argentine melodrama film, Camila, directed and co written by María Luisa Bemberg is
based on the true story of Camila O Gorman. The film is centred on the life of its main protagonist,
Camila, who is from a wealthy and well respected family which supports the dictatorship of Juan
Manuel de Rosas. In particular, the film captures Camila s affair with Father Ladislao Gutiérrez and
what is distinctively interesting is that regardless of his oath to the cloth, Father Ladislao is unable to
resist Camila s advances. As such, both are forced to elope and live under false pretences. Yet, this
sacrilegious union is not without consequences as both Camila and Ladislao are sentenced, imprisoned
and executed on Rosas order. In this regard, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Interestingly, Bemberg juxtaposes entrapment with resistance to patriarchy. Therefore, we can posit
that Camila s choice to pursue Ladislao goes against the patriarchal system in more ways than one. On
one hand, she disobeys and refuses the choice her paternal father has made for her, that is Ignacio, as
her mate and on the other hand, Camila s choice of mate depicts the failure of Rosas dictatorship as he
is unable to truly propagate and enforce his ideologies but more importantly it underlines an insolence
to the patriarchal values on which the government and all other social institutions including the family
and church are built. The physical entrapment of Camila and La Perichona in the film highlights the
function of the patriarchal system that has suppressed females expression of love in Argentina during
the reign of Rosas. However, the issue of female entrapment leads to resistance. Camila s entrapment
with her passion has led her to act against values of the patriarchal system so as to satisfy her desires,
whereas the physical entrapment is an indication that she has rebelled against the system, as such her
privileges has been restricted. Thus, in the event that Camila had not challenged the patriarchal system
then she would not have faced imprisonment and her life would have been

Taking a Look at the Spiritual Warfare
the Spiritual warfare
Spiritual warfare is not a theory. Spiritual warfare is not a rote. Spiritual warfare is not just to simply
unknown. No. Spiritual warfare is a daily practice of those who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and
Savior.
Ephesians 6: 12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the
powers of this dark world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
The enemy we face is not a man but a demon with all his minions. Who is actually the devil and his
friends? They are a third of the angels with the boss named Lucifer who has been a rebellion in
heaven, therefore they were expelled from Heaven and wander in this world while waiting for the
punishment of hell fire.
People would not want to believe, like it or not will be involved in spiritual warfare. You can not say, I

there is always a battle in everyday life. Since you became a follower of Christ, the devil will make

Parental Intrusion in Youth Sports Essay
Running Head: PARENTAL INTRUSION IN YOUTH SPORTS

PARENTAL INTRUSION Parental intrusion in youth sports is nothing new. There will always be
adults who act inappropriately or disrupt the league. A lot of the problems lie with adults who use
youth sports to gratify their own egos, adults who can t deal with the emotional ups and downs of
youth sports and there are even those who see the time and money spent on their child as an

However, when we talk about youth sports, our main concern is with providing players with a
positive, character building experience. Winning is not the only acceptable outcome for youth players,
and coaches need to understand this principle. With a winning philosophy young athletes may lose out
on opportunities to develop their skills, to enjoy participation, and to grow socially and emotionally.
Well informed coaches realize that success is not equivalent to winning games, and failure is not the
same as losing. (Enhancing Coach Parent Relationships in Youth Sports, 15)
Sadly, dealing with unreasonable, loud, obnoxious parents can be the most challenging part of
coaching. Many coaches just want to make a difference in young lives instead of having to deal with
the extra baggage of a high strung parent. If a parent does not like what you are doing as a coach, then
there is no reason that parent can t become a coach. One of the most difficult problems in coaching
youth sports is dealing with an irate parent, but this problem can be diminished by holding parent
meetings before and during the season. (Put Em In Coach, 33)
So when it comes to specifically handling those situations where parents become unruly, whether it is
to the kids, coaches, or to the other parents,

among Americans on basic values and ethics (Kardos and Allen 1993). Ironically, American beliefs
and values were not allowed a chance to play out in the political maneuvering that led to the passage
of the
ACA of 2010 (see Chapter 13).
The growth of medical science and technology (discussed in Chapter 5) has also played a key role in
shaping the US health care delivery system. Stevens (1971) points out that the technological
revolution has been primarily responsible for bringing medicine into the public domain. Advancement
of technology has influenced other factors, as well, such as medical education, growth of institutions,
and urban development. Hence, American medicine did not emerge as a professional entity until the
beginning of the 20th century, with the progress in biomedical science. Since then, the
US health care delivery system has been a growth enterprise. Debates over issues such as methods of

Deconstruction In The Story Of An Hour By Kate Chopin
Going over literary texts isn t like reading other contents we have. We, as analysists ought to know
about each word that has sense or significance, on the grounds that this type of content isn t there just
to give us a delight in analyzing it, it gives us more insight. The insight we receive, we can discover it
straightforwardly or by implication in the text. If the insight isn t obvious in the text you must uncover
it. It s sort of like a profound breaking down to uncover it. One of the hypothesis that we can utilize is
deconstruction. I will be using the deconstruction approach for The Story of an Hour by Kate Chopin.
The Story of an Hour is a common story that could happen in everyday life, however has further
importance to investigate. The story tells us about the illegal bliss of a spouse, Louise Mallard, for her
new autonomy since she received the news that her other half, Brently, kicked the bucket. The story
starts when Louise got the news that her significant other passed away from a train accident. At that
point she went to her room, began to sob, and in that room she envisions numerous things about the
bitterness and distress until the satisfaction and delight overcome her. In any case, her happiness was
at its peak when her significant other got back home, and it turned out to be a lie. Specialists arrive
and articulate that Louise passed on of a heart attack expedited by bliss.
Now deconstruction was discovered by Jacques Derrida. Deconstruction is a

What insights did you gain from your reading? Grace is divine favor. Wisdom helps discern correction
from offense.
During prayer, what did you give God thanks for?
I thanked him for my family that is always there for me, and even the family that isn t there for me.
We tend to take family for granted sometimes.
During prayers, what did you ask God for? I asked him for more patience with family that has
wronged me and to help me truly forgive them.
During prayers, what did you hear from God? I heard that If I cant forgive then how do I expect to be
forgiven.
Name: Elijah Young
What do you think God would have you do concerning the Scripture passage you read? I think he
wants me to pray for wisdom, but when you ask for wisdom he gives you chances to use it which can
be difficult at times.

  • 2. Management Style Essays Management Style Essay Joyce Davis HCS/325 3/23/2015 Management Style Essay Introduction Today s paper is about management styles. I will discuss things; such as what management is and what are the good and poor qualities of managers. In addition; do these conditions change based on the social environment, work environment or home environment? Last, I will discuss the results of my management quiz. This part of the discussion will focus on whether or not I agree or disagree with those results. What do you define as management? Management equals having the ability to lead, plan, organize, control, make decisions, and direct others in achieving an organization s goals and their mission. Managers perform many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Do the qualities change based on different situations? It is my belief that these qualities do not change. Leadership roles are all around us, not just in a work environment (SkillsYouNeed, 2015). They can be applied to any situation where you are required to take the lead, professionally, socially and at home in family settings (SkillsYouNeed, 2015). I do not feel that you can just dismiss these qualities whenever you wish. However, I feel that you need to be able to adapt to whatever environment you find yourself. Do you agree with the results of your management quiz? I agree with the outcome of the exam. Taking the test was an excellent experiment! It allowed me to see whether or not I would make a good manager. According to the results, a managerial position would be in line with my personality. The test result indicated that I had the ability to manage and govern myself. It lets me know; I have the capacity to control and supervise others. As stated before if one can not govern one s self, it makes no sense attempting to direct others. According to the exam; when it comes to managing my team s work it states It sounds like you are getting your staff on the same page about goals and plans to achieve them, delegating well, and ensuring results match what you are looking for (Management Center, 2015). Conclusion Today, I discussed management styles. I also explained things; such as what management is and what are the good and poor

This novel was written by John Steinbeck who had based most of his work in the story location. The main aspect of this story evolves around the American dream, and how it is perceived by the characters. The American dream is an expression for everything great in life; it is based on a dream that has a future with happiness. This was the start of the Great Depression that would affect the whole world during the 1930s. However the dream survived for individuals. Thousands made their way west to California to escape from their farmlands in the mid West. George and Lennie dreamt of their little house and a couple of acres . The growing popularity of cinema was the last American Dream for many. Eventually the poor farmers could not maintain their land so they moved westwards towards California. These people were known as migrant workers as they were constantly migrating around the country to follow the harvest. These people lived in fear and poverty in which they had no family or friends to trust. Of Mice and Men is a story of how two migrant workers lives are inspired by hope. In this essay I will compare the American dream to the reality in which the migrant workers are subjected to. In this story there are many aspects that we have to take into consideration which includes the many themes portrayed by Steinbeck and the reality in which they suffer. The series of events is set around four days and in this time a lot happens so every part of the story is vital. I will work chronologically through out the story so I can see how the plot develops. I will focus my essay on how the main characters dream is influenced by their reality. We are firstly introduced to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The most common form of disciplining has always been either a spanking, corporal punishment has been dated all the way back to biblical times. Now the corporal punishment that occurred during biblical and slavery times might not be for the greater good, however the individuals who owned slaves thought it to help one complete their job quicker and better. If one slave didn t do something properly or escaped corporal punishment was enforced which resulted in receiving a beating from a long strap; this is form of corporal punishment is actual abuse, yet it deterred other slaves from committing the same actions as others. Homosapiens often do this by removing themselves from their normal setting and going to an unfamiliar area. This is referred to as a getaway, recreation, or a sojourn. These three terms essentially all mean the familiar term vacation. • 8. Theme Of Betrayal In Jane Eyre In the novel, Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Brontë there were many incidents that had affected the overall plot of the book. Sometimes an author adds certain events or ideas to help accentuate the plot. In this novel there is a recurring theme of betrayal. The one that seems to be affected by the curse of betrayal the most is the main character, Jane Eyre, herself. Her first encounter with betrayal came about when she was still just a child. And as she grew older and experienced the world new ways unlike before, she could never escape the curse of betrayal. Jane s first encounter with betrayal was when she was still a child and her Uncle Reed brought her along to live with him and his family in Gateshead, after Jane s parents had passed away. Jane s Uncle Reed had promised to raise her as if she were one of his own children. However, this only lasted until Uncle Reed passed away. After Jane s uncle had passed, Jane s aunt and her three children had mistreated her and in some cases physically abused. On one particular day she was minding her own business whilst reading Bewick s History of British Birds, her obnoxious cousin John Reed was looking for Jane. Once he finds her, he treats her as if she was inferior to him, he wants his cousin to refer to him as Master Reed. Slavery had great impacts on the country, such as the economic effect of the South overestimating its importance due to the prevalence of slave grown cotton. Westward expansion had the social effect of the citizens of territories wanting statehood to get into arguments and civil wars due to popular sovereignty. States rights had the political effect of the southern states believing that since they agreed to become part of the United States, they could just as easily leave the country. Without a doubt, the social, economic, and political effects of slavery, westward expansion, and states rights lead to the secession crisis of 1860 1861, with the political effects being seen the greatest. Slavery had major economic and social effects that lead up to the secession crisis of 1860 1861. Slavery had the largest effect on the secession crisis, as compared to westward expansion and states rights. With large number of slaves working on plantations, the plantations could produce a lot of goods to send to the North. One major export from the South to the North was cotton. In today s world we see white elephant gift exchanges where people will exchange unwanted gifts to one another, usually popular among work colleagues or family gatherings. In Hills like White Elephants the white elephant is the baby that Jig is unexpectedly carrying. Even though the couple is in love neither the man nor the girl can decide what to do with the child the are expecting. The baby would indeed be a gift, but it would also be a burden, this can be discovered when the man states that We ll be fine afterward. Just like we were before (Hemingway 476). The man obviously believes that if they decide to keep the baby then it will prevent them from doing things they want to continue doing, and that is clear because he continues to badger Jig about the situation they are in that it made Jig beg the man to stop, she pleads, Would you please please please please please please please stop talking? (478). By this it is clear that Jig is truly concerned about the situation that affects her life and just wants to stop talking about everything. It is clear that the american man does not want to have the baby, the man has therefore treated Jig s pregnancy like a burden or an illness (Rankin 236). As the paint brush dips into the paint and watching the brush the brush form perfect lines, knowing that the art that is being created is what one is expressing. Art and design has been influencing our lives since the dawn of the ages. Art has been created on cave walls, has been formed in architecture, and continues to grow and expand. Art is very beautiful, but also is a matter of expression. Art can mean many things such as love, concern, anger, desire, and politics. Two Chinese born ink artists by the name of Zhang Daqain, and Hua Tunan have become well known traditional Chinese ink artists. More known for his landscape designs, Zhang Daqain has incorporated splashes and pops of color in these traditional looking drawings. Through the decades, other artists have learned traditional ink drawings but have also developed other artistic ways to express who they are. For example, one artist, Hua Tunan, is a young artist who has experimented with graffiti and in his favor, was a success. Both artists are advocates for nature being their primary subjects. From mountainous ranges to flowers, to detailed portraits of animals, these paintings bring awareness to people about the beauty on our planet. Moreover, not only are these marshes bad for plantations, it was also an ideal situation for mosquitoes. To make the situation even worse, the birds that were the main predators to the mosquitoes have now exited the ecosystem. Despite this, Barbados was largely free of malarial mosquitoes, but other islands weren t so lucky. When the Europeans made their transatlantic voyages, in addition to trading slaves and commodities, yellow fever and malaria managed to sneak their way onto the slave ships. Due to the sheer quantity of slaves needed to run a sugarmill, these slave ships were often crowded beyond capacity and its cramped and damp hulls provided a haven for mosquitoes infected with numerous diseases. And these unfortunate islands became hubs for spreading malaria and yellow fever. The main ideology of Reaganomics was conservation which promoted that government is the problem, not solution . That means, society and market would function better with limited government power and regulations. Accordingly, Social wealth was distributed by unrestricted market, and profits that capitalists earned would trickle down to the bottom of society. In this way, people were in charge of improving their lives instead of relying on the aid of government. In order to recover from the economic crisis occurred between 1981and1982, the major Reaganomics objectives was to reduce government intervention in business and social aids. The policies were specified as marginal tax cut, tightening money supply, reducing social welfare programs and regulations. Generally, Reaganomics that impact citizens the most would be tax cut, reducing welfares and regulations. First of all, the marginal tax cut was one of the most significant policy in the governing of President Reagan. Starting from 1981, government reduced individual tax (the top tax rate was reduced from 70% to 50 %) and Windfall profit tax. Research On The Learning Of An Educational Setup Essay 1.0 Introduction New Zealand social researchers Carl Davidson and Martin Tolich (1999) point out that research fulfils three roles exploring, describing and explaining (as cited in Mutch, 2005, p. 16). Research helps to add more qualitative information to an existing body of knowledge or helps to decipher a problem existing in an educational setup. Sometimes, research tends to bring into light certain issues that required attention. Baumfield and Butterworth (2005) suggest that engagement in research by teachers has a positive impact on the learning of the pupils in their classrooms (as cited in Menter, Elliot, Hulme, Lewin, Lowden, 2011, p. 14). Having taught General Science to primary and middle school students (ages 9 11) and Chemistry to secondary section students (ages 13 15), I have observed a change in the students approach towards the study of Science. U-Boat Tactics in World War II In September of 2012, Germany s last surviving U Boat captain who helped sink dozens of U.S. and British ships has been honoured by the modern military in his homeland seven decades after he was twice decorated by Hitler for bravery. It may seem grim to honor a person who referred to American shooting season as his hobby during the war, but it is important to recognize the contributions of U Boat commanders like Reinhard Hardegen. German submarines had been an engineering vision since 1465, and preliminary German submarines were being manufactured as early as 1850 with Sebastian Wilhelm Valentin Bauer s Brandtaucher design. The Brandtaucher was much improved upon during the Industrial Age, which represented the peak of Kaiserdom in Germany. With its financial coffers relatively full, the Kaiser was able to fund designs such as those by Vogel in 1870 and Howaldt in 1891. However, Gustav Zede designed the Forelle (named after the much beloved German trout fish) and it was the first truly successful German submarine and was launched in 1903. Therefore, we can posit that Camila s choice to pursue Ladislao goes against the patriarchal system in more ways than one. On one hand, she disobeys and refuses the choice her paternal father has made for her, that is Ignacio, as her mate and on the other hand, Camila s choice of mate depicts the failure of Rosas dictatorship as he is unable to truly propagate and enforce his ideologies but more importantly it underlines an insolence to the patriarchal values on which the government and all other social institutions including the family and church are built. The physical entrapment of Camila and La Perichona in the film highlights the function of the patriarchal system that has suppressed females expression of love in Argentina during the reign of Rosas. However, the issue of female entrapment leads to resistance. Camila s entrapment with her passion has led her to act against values of the patriarchal system so as to satisfy her desires, whereas the physical entrapment is an indication that she has rebelled against the system, as such her privileges has been restricted. No. Spiritual warfare is a daily practice of those who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Ephesians 6: 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, when we talk about youth sports, our main concern is with providing players with a positive, character building experience. Winning is not the only acceptable outcome for youth players, and coaches need to understand this principle. With a winning philosophy young athletes may lose out on opportunities to develop their skills, to enjoy participation, and to grow socially and emotionally. Well informed coaches realize that success is not equivalent to winning games, and failure is not the same as losing. (Enhancing Coach Parent Relationships in Youth Sports, 15) Sadly, dealing with unreasonable, loud, obnoxious parents can be the most challenging part of coaching. If a parent does not like what you are doing as a coach, then there is no reason that parent can t become a coach. One of the most difficult problems in coaching youth sports is dealing with an irate parent, but this problem can be diminished by holding parent meetings before and during the season. (Put Em In Coach, 33) So when it comes to specifically handling those situations where parents become unruly, whether it is to the kids, coaches, or to the other parents, ...
