ABSTRACT In this paper , the problem of identification of masses or tumors in the Magnetic Resonance
Image (MRI) of Brain . Here a novel method of Power Law Transformation is introduced on the Brain Image.
The gamma value for the Brain Image is fixed as 1.5 and thresholding is done. Thus the resulting binary image
clearly separates any kind of tumors or a mass present in the brain images, and makes the identification
process easier. By exhaustive experimentations it is found that the proposed algorithm is performs well than
the literature. The experimentations is done with the Virtual Skeleton Database (VSD) which is a brain tumor
image dataset obtained from Challenge on Multimodal Brain Tumor Segmentation with are the outcomes of
BRATS2012 and BRATS2013. It is reported that the tumor in the brain is identified correctly in majority of
cases and the efficiency of the proposed algorithm is 90% in case of normal images and 82.51% in case of
multimodal images.

Upon looking back at my honors experience at Elgin Community College, I vividly remember the first honors
class that I attended, American Government, or POS 150. I remember being extremely nervous to attend this
class. At this point in my ECC career, I still doubted myself when it came to my academics and what I was
capable of. I kept thinking that I was going to fail my honors class and ruin my honors experience. What I
soon came to realize was that this class was going to be something completely different than the traditional
classes that I had taken before. The setting of this class was mostly discussion, lecture, and reflection. We had

Pollutants are impacting aquatic organisms disposed by daily human activities and natural occurrences. An

significant damage, e.g. death. However lower levels of these harmful substances can be stored in an organism
and increase as it continues and follows up the food chain, a process called biomagnification or
bioaccumulation, having the greatest effect on the top predator of that food chain. A common result of the
pollutants can lead to stress, changing of the immune system, inhibit lysozyme activity, damage gills,
metabolism, and growth. Other factors include an excessive amount of nutrients in the environment. Nitrogen
can make its way into aquatic ecosystems when there is an increase in nitrous oxide in the air, allowing
eutrophication. Algae and bacteria feed off the nitrogen, so a high number of these organisms appear and use
oxygen around them as the feed, causing hypoxic zones, or dead zones. Acidification, an increase in the
ecosystem s pH acidity from acid rain, which occurs from an increase in CO2 from air pollution. Aquatic
organisms have a range of tolerance, and water with high acidic pH will lead the organism out of the range of
tolerance, resulting in stress of the organism, and eventually death. Further studies are being pursuited to see

ABSTRACT In the present study, we investigate laterality effects on motor learning based on motor imagery
workout in childhood. Four children groups that were mentally and physically right hand performed reaching
movement via upper and non upper hand with speed and accuracy as possible. Before and after training
session the movement time has recorded and analyzed. Results showed that mental and physical practices
through similar learning processes (similar exponentially learning curves), have positive effect on both hand
performance. But in comparison with mental imagery, motion time in post test session became significant for
both hands after physical practice. More importantly, in comparison with motor imagery with non upper hand,
mental imagery with upper hand leads to wider progress in motor speed. This kind of advances did not show
up in control group. Findings of this study show priority of upper hand in motor learning via mental workout.

The current immigration crisis in the US is years of mishandling and gone bad. Many of the current
immigrants here were originally here. This mentality has led to a huge increase in numbers of illegal
immigrants. For example, it is believed that the current number of illegal immigrants is around 10 to 20
million if not more. Another problem is that the Obama administration has dropped the number of cases of
deportation. Why isn t Obama dropping the deportation cased. This means tons of money is spent on border
security, but the immigrants who make it through are likely to stay here and use up resources such as money,
