The Importance Of Respect
Respect can be displayed in numerous ways which may be verbal or none verbal dependent upon the
individual. My aim is to demonstrate a clear outline of respect touching upon subjects such as, human
rights, and values. Respect can be as straightforward as manors such as please and thank you ,
although many may not always display this. Respect is dignity for every individual, mutual
acknowledgment from one individual to another portraying thoughtfulness and equality. (Nhina le,
2016). Respect has changed outstandingly over the years which effects the way we live today. Morally
It is of significance to include others without preconceptions or exceptions no matter of differences
such as ethnicity or beliefs. (Joyce Catlett and Robert w firestone 2009) respect and human rights
interlink, as in 1998 the humans right act came into power which is built up of 30 articles e.g. right to
life which states that nobody including the government can try to end your life (ref article) these rights
are about respect and belong to everyone.
VALUEs
Values are personal attributes of importance which we are passionate about, gained through life and
experiences. Values certainly influence the opinions we have and the choices we make, as these are
personal thoughts and felling of what we care about. (Hayden, 2006)
Values affect the way we choose to live our life furthermore the way we act towards others and their
life.(REF) As we develop as individuals many factors such as age, wisdom and life experiences are
likely to have an impacted value s now held in comparison to ones held in younger life, as growth,
knowledge and life experience act towards shaping us as individuals and the way we may view things.
Values are not factual nevertheless there are no right or wrong values as these are personal to each and
every individual. (x2ref)
changes were made, which has a huge influence throughout the world.
RESPECT many may say respect should be earned, but in certain instances, this is not always
possible, for ex; when
holding the door for someone who is walking behind you is effortless human respect, that is morally
expected to be given and reciprocated. showing respect for someone does not necessarily mean you

Disadvantages Of Sexual Harassment
Think about having to be forced or coerced to demeaning and misappropriate conduct day in and out
because you fear losing your job or being demoted to a less desirable position. Focus on how many
victims of sexual harassment underwent calling out sick so that they would not have to be manipulated
into doing acts that were degrading and immoral with someone they believed they could trust, like
their supervisor. Moreover, walking into an atmosphere where work is not fun, but stressful and causes
you much anguish and dissatisfaction, only because you are having to undergo much discomfort and
shameful acts. Further, think about the thought of walking into your office everyday in anxiety and
fear because you need your job and want your job. However, but you did not ask for the unwelcome
sexual gestures, inappropriate touching, pressure to perform certain unlawful duties or be given
stipulations such as do as you are told and instructed or be terminated. All the more, this is what many
of the past case victims were accustomed to and subjected to each day while in the workplace.
Consequently, this is what many victims of sexual harassment endure each day because they are too
afraid to stand up and say anything to anyone because of fear of not being believed, afraid of losing
their jobs, or generally because they were not sure what could be done.
Even before sexual harassment and retaliation become widely known terms it was very much present
and prevalent in many organizations.

REMARKS/ ANALYSIS
In the 1st part of the experiment, Magnetics fields of Magnets with different orientations were
observed. For its first subpart A. Like poles of bar Magnets, the magnetic fields are attracted to their
opposite poles, thus it is shown that the magnets repel each other. For the next subpart B. Unlike poles
of bar Magnets. The magnetic field lines of the North pole is attracted to the South pole. This is why
in the figure, it can be seen that the two magnets are seeking each other. For subpart C. Two U
magnets with their unlike poles facing each other, it can be observed that the magnetic field lines are
thicker because the poles of a U magnet are closer to each other than a bar magnet. For the last subpart

It is usually represented by a combination of loops that leave the N pole and enter the S pole. These
loops are called the magnetic flux. When a charge moves in an electric field, it will experience an
electrostatic force given by an equation F=qE. Also, when a charge enters a magnetic field B, a
magnetic force is exerted. F=qv*B. If the charge moves in a wire, with length L, the force can be
represented as F=ILBsin(theta). In the experiment, we were able to study the nature of the magnetic
fields around the poles of magnets which helps me understand more about the concept of magnetic
fields. We also determined the magnitude of magnetic force on a current carrying wire. We found out
that these variables are directly proportional to each other. Lastly, we also study the nature of the
relationships between magnetic force and magnetic field, current, length and orientation of current
carrying wires. After the experiment, we were able to fully grasp the theories, concepts and principles
relating to magnetism. As an application of the experiment, magnets in medicinal area is used and
somehow very effective. It is used without any medicines. It can stimulate the nerves in the body to
increase the circulation of blood. Doctors frequently use this to cure ailments such as gout, arthritis

Careers in Lodging and Food and Beverage Industries
The hospitality industry is a very lucrative and rewarding career choice. Choosing a career in this field
is not for the faint at heart. A career in this industry requires an individual that is ambitious, self
motivated, and has a charismatic personality. However, the hard work comes with many personal and
financial rewards. Hospitality covers all careers that can come underneath the lodging, restaurants,
event planning, theme parks, transportation, and tourism. However, this paper will go in depth
explaining the role of general management, growth of employment, and human ... Show more content

They must provide owners with a reasonable return on investment, keep guest satisfied and returning,
and keep employees happy. This may seem easy, but because there are so many interpersonal
transactions and because hotels are open every day, all day, the complexities of operating become
challenge that the general manager must face and overcome. The GM not only focuses on leading and
operating the hotel departments but also on aspects of the infrastructure, from room atmosphere to
security (Walker, 2013).
If a restaurant is inside of a hotel, then the food and beverage division is overseen by the general
manager of the hotel. In this scenario the person that runs the food and beverage division is referred to
as the director of food and beverage. In this case, the director reports to the general manager of the
hotel. However, if there is a free standing restaurant, bar, or lounge; there is a general manager who is
responsible for the entire operations of that establishment. If the restaurant, bar, or lounge is a
freestanding establishment, the owner will sometimes double as the general manager and do the job on
their own without hiring someone. Sometimes owners will hire an individual to fill the job as General
Manager, especially if they have invested in a restaurant and do not have any experience in how to run
it properly.

Jay-Z s From The Frying Pan Into The Fire
Hip hop is a culture created by people who felt that some aspects of the culture of capitalism did not
fit them. Hip hop was able to give them a form of expression, a means of earning and a better
representation for themselves. In Jay Z s essay One Eye Open , Jay Z shares his account, as a pioneer
of the genre itself, of how hip hop started to gain its popularity and standing back when he was a
young child and how it provides the people means to support their needs. In her essay From the Frying
Pan into the Fire , Arlie Russell Hochschild shares what does it take to create a culture, she focused on
how the capitalist economic system became a culture itself instead of supporting one. Although hip
hop may have started out as an opposition to some of the values of capitalism, a lot of aspects of the
hip hop culture thrive from the capitalist economy, it just follows a different set of rules.
Even though many might think that hip hop is a form of art and that capitalism is an economic system,
that is not all that they are, they can also be identified as cultural systems. A culture is created when
groups of people start to have unique social patterns, like their own food, cloth, language and what
not. Another way a culture is created is through rituals and an ideology that a group of people start
following. The culture of capitalism was created through the anxieties to which it poses itself as a
necessary answer (Hochschild 145). For this reason, what used to be just an

Revolt Of 1381 Summary
This account of the Peasants Revolt of 1381 by Jean Froissart, a medieval author and historian, is
clearly quite biased in favor of the ruling class, but is nevertheless a valuable contemporary report of
the causes of the uprising. Froissart focuses his attention on John Ball, an influential preacher who
helped incite the rebellion. According to Froissart s account, Ball preached against the economic
system of the time, railing against the luxurious clothes, houses, and food enjoyed by feudal lords at
the expense of the peasants labor. John Ball rooted his argument against this system in the Bible,
insisting that since all men were born from the same father and mother (Adam and Eve), all were thus
equal in the eyes of god. Though Froissart ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hilton stresses that these economies were self sufficient and durable, resilient even to the devastation
of war. The self contained and secure nature of the economies in these peasant communities leads
Hilton to conclude that they would have been perfectly capable of functioning without the intervention
of the higher classes. Moreover, Hilton proposes that the peasants may have been conscious of this.
Especially in light of the frequent rebellions, he suggests that medieval peasants were acutely aware
that their way of life had existed for far longer than the lords who exhorted rent and other payments
from them. Hilton also doesn t fail to mention that many of these lords only attained their lands
through conquest. From such a viewpoint, feudal lords seem less like even handed governors, and
more like an imposing mafia. As a Marxist, Hilton may be guilty of overstating the flawless workings
of the peasants alleged proto socialism; however, his explanation for the peasants frustrations is well
reasoned, and surely provides a more accurate view of the peasants thoughts than the works of most
medieval historians. It is therefore a beneficial source for my

Pursuing A Life At College
At the average age of eighteen, every student must decide what their future will entail. Some students
will choose to skip college to dive into ministry, military training, or work. Many students, however,
do decide to pursue a life at college. In the United States alone, there are approximately 5,300
different colleges/universities from which a student can choose. This substantial number of colleges
often leaves a student overwhelmed, confused, and stressed over finding their perfect college. As I
have researched, I have narrowed my perfect college choices down to two very different options,
Baylor University and Lee University. Baylor University was founded in 1844 by Reverend William
Milton Tryon and District Judge R.E.B. Baylor in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
564 of these students are international (3%). This is significantly larger than Lee University who has
4,575 with 251 international students (5%). Not only is there a drastic size difference, but also a
drastic cost difference. Baylor charges a total of $56,776 a year. This large total can be divided up into
six categories: tuition $36,360, various fees $4,038, room and board $11,140, books and supplies
$1,276, transportation $1,174, and personal expenses $2,788. Lee is 48% cheaper coming in at a total
of $27,500. This cost can be divided into four categories: tuition $14,280, room and board $7,520,
books and supplies $1,200, and personal expenses $4,500. Accompanying the 16,787 students at
Baylor are 119 majors and 77 minors. Lee, on the other hand, has 105 majors and 52 minors. Although
both universities have similar options, Baylor has more of the basic college majors and minors. Lee,
however, has more specialized courses. For example, Lee offers four different options for Discipleship
Ministry major. Both Baylor and Lee are Christian universities who practice pursuing after Christ in
their college activities. Lee has chapel twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) with students being
required to attend 70% of the chapels per a semester. Most of Lee s chapels are simply worship led by
both students and well known artists, but they do often have speakers as well. Baylor has chapel twice
a week (Mondays and Wednesdays) and require students to attend

Narrative Essay On Normandy s Men

16. I didn t understand what this list of numbers and letters meant at first but I do now. They are in
reference to a sea of graves, so white they swallow all colors of life. The green of the grass, of tree,
colors of the flower, are covered by a blanket of sacrifice. That is the American Cemetery in
Normandy, lists of numbers and letters that reference fathers, brothers, husbands, and loved ones. Men
that will never come home again, because they gave it all to protect a dream, a dream many never saw.
During a week in France with a school group, we dedicated a day to the men of Normandy. It was a
very wet day; the sky was overcast and freezing. We choose our first beach to be that of Point D Huc.
When we first arrived, the scene looked like a wild garden. As we started to walk down a set trail, I
started to notice that one plant in particular had grown completely out of control, barbed wire. It was
everywhere, erupting from the undergrowth. We struggles free of the wire, moving to the cliff front of
the beach. The first thing I really noticed was how the terrain didn t match with what we had ... Show

While we were pulling up to the beach, our attention was turned to the hills along the seashore. The
hills circle the beach, closing us in, as though it was a green barrier, keeping us isolated from the
population on the other side. As we arrived on the beach, erupting from the sand, was a huge steel
sculpture. There were five separate steel pieces that flashed against the sky like swords. These swords
stood for those who could not, they stood for my grandfather who had fought on the beaches and had
watched his friends get gunned down next to him. The water was so calm that it was hard to imagine
what it could have been like for him, watching tanks roll through the waves and constant chatter of
gunfire and bitter silence of the

Nissan UK is able to use inflation in the prices of their goods, this is because they are then able to
make sure that they are taking advantage of this type of opportunity their organisation, this is going to

From the economic review for January 2012 has a graph that shows the output of the three major
economic sectors: manufacturing, construction and services. The graph shows the recession in 2008 to
2011 and how it recovers.
The graph shows that the manufacturing was a lot higher more higher in Q1 in 2008 compared to the
start of 2009. This shows that businesses were not manufacturing a lot of products and the way in
which the manufacturing decreased within a year. This also reflects the manufacturing that Nissan UK
did from 2008 to 2009 by making it go low because there wasn t a huge demand for products. This
also shows that the recession had just begun and was getting a lot worse in 2009. This must have had
an impact on Nissan by making their employees lose their jobs because there was less labour activity.
In Q3 of 2009, the graph shows that there was progress being made in the economy by showing
recovery. The graph shows this in the way there is a progress and this would have also impacted on

Tacitus Intentions In Agricola
Claim: (Con element) Although Tacitus defines his intentions in writing Agricola as honoring his
father in law and giving testimony to the past and present, (assertion) his purpose is actually to push
future generations away from past societal errors, (warranting element) and this is important for
readers to uncover.
Con Evidence: Tacitus clearly defined his intentions within Agricola, to honor his father in law, and to
write about the past and present. In the preface of his writing he states ... a record of our former
servitude and a testimony to our present blessings. For the time being, this book, intended to honour
Agricola, my father in law, will be commended, or at least excused, as a tribute of dutiful affection. (3)

He expresses his book s purpose clearly, and portrays his book as a way to honor not just his father in
law Agricola, but the past and present also. He wishes to bring attention to the greatness of Agricola,
and the progress of Roman society in terms of freedom. The preface alone, proves the purpose behind
Tacitus s book, as he gives tribute to Agricola and Rome. Assertion Evidence: Tacitus s book,
Agricola, was written with the intention of leading the future generations away from the faults of the
past. In the preface of his book, Tacitus writes, We should have lost our memories as well as our
voices, were it as easy to forget as to be silent. (2) Tacitus writes of forgetting the past, and in turn
furthering society from the wrongdoings of the previous generations. Assertion Explanation: Despite
his written intentions, Tacitus s purpose in writing Agricola, is clearly that he wished to inspire further
generations and guide them away from past collective flaws. The preface alone communicates the idea
of moving on from the past generations, and growing from the mistakes that took place. By writing of
the trials and errors which once occurred, Tacitus is hoping to inspire the succeeding generations to

This tank is called a Medium T20 Tank which you probably read in the title, but if you didn t you just

T20 Medium Tank was envisioned as a possible successor to the famous M4 Sherman Medium Tank

The production amount of this T20 Tank was only a total of 4 tanks built of this type tank, which is
not a lot of tanks, but it cost a lot of money.

The T20 Tank is originally made in the United States and the manufacturer is the U.S Ordnance
Department. This T20 Tank is made in the year of 1944, which means that the tank is 72 years old.
The government makes replica s of the T20 Tank. The only thing about the tank is, is that it cannot

was at the rear of the hull and the main armament was sat within a 360 degree traversing turret.
The tank ammunition was 75mm, 30 caliber, and a 50 caliber. The 50 caliber could penetrate through

Private And Privacy In The Medical Code Of Ethics
Exposing patient private and sensitive information can cause harm to the patient as well as his/her
relatives. This is the reason medical professionals are compelled by the law especially the HIPAA
privacy rule to ensure that patient personal information is kept private and confidential. Exposing
patient private and sensitive information is one of the unethical behaviors in the medical profession. In
medical profession, the code of ethics ensures that medical practitioners remain professional
(American Nurses Association 21). This ensures high quality service delivery as well as ensuring that
the patients are protected from any possible harm by the actions of the medics. Privacy is one of the
key issues in medical profession. The behavior of medical practitioners leaking patient information is
unethical and thus can harm the patient. Patient information has to be kept private and thus the medics
are compelled to ensure confidentially. However, there are various circumstance in which the
information can be shared. In medical profession, confidentially is paramount and thus patients ought
to be assured of their privacy. Some illnesses such as HIV/AIDS can make the patient traumatized and
thus such information has to remain confidential between the medical practitioner and the patient
(Kuo et al 25). The code of ethics on patient privacy and confidentiality have been supported by
Kantian ethics theory on individual morality. Any behavior leading to exposure of patient

Stress And Its Effects On Children
Humans are not the only species to undergo stress; it has been used as a survival tactic across all
lineages of organisms. One necessity of stress is when it produces the instinct of fight or flight, that
enables individuals to overcome a threatening situation or to run like the wind. In an advanced society,
stress has become self produced and normalized into society, whereas people are always looking for
efficiency in the fastest way possible. However, not many individuals realize children undergo stress
at the hands of others that produce severe biological and psychological effects, as well as long term
deficiencies. Considering, America is the wealthiest industrialized economy, society needs to be aware
of stress related issued in children so that we can tackle the problem to save current and potential
victims. Stress in children is complex to detect, considering their still developing and adapting to the
surrounding environment. Unfortunately, there are cases when a child is subjected to traumatic
situations and never receive therapeutic treatment, thereby resulting in some children remaining

The, best known as IRAs for its acronym in English (Individual Retirement Accounts), individual
retirement accounts are a good option to consider when planning for retirement, since these are
savings accounts with attractive tax advantages. These accounts are recommended if your employer
does not offer any retirement plan like a 401 (k), or if you want to have an additional plan to save
more for your retirement.
IRAs can be opened at any bank or brokerage firm, either in person or online. The opening process is
very simple and only requires to have on hand your social security number and beneficiaries, as well
as your basic personal information.

Child s Real Time Referential Processing Development
Introduction Language processing has been a largely studied area of research over the past _ years.
More recently, studies have looked into real time referential processing abilities in children in order to
understand how processing works as well as what contributes to levels of efficiency. Some factors that
effect proficiency of this ability includes exposure to infant directed speech, onset of exposure to first
language, socioeconomic status, as well as various individual differences such as language
impairments and/or deafness. This paper strives to collect supporting ideas of what factors contribute
to a child s real time referential processing development. Exposure to Language In some cultures,

The findings support that experiencing language fosters development of vocabulary through positively
influenced processing efficiency. It has also been seen that children from higher socioeconomic status
families show greater interaction and exposure to language which leads to larger vocabularies as well
as efficient real time processing (Fernald, A., Marchman, V. A., Weisleder, A., 2013). Ultimately,
children who are more exposed to speech are able to interpret words, create mental lexicon
representations leading them to be able to familiarize with words quicker and with better accuracy
during speech in real time. This ability later shows rapid growth in vocabulary. (Weisleder et al., 2013)
The looking while listening test is a good resource, however in some cases this test cannot be used.
Such reasons arise in the assessment of deaf children that heavily rely on ASL signs as their primary
tool for communication. Spoken language learning processes require visual and auditory modalities
where as comprehension and processing of sign language requires visual attention to real world
referents as well as attention to visual linguistic signs (Lieberman et al., 2015). Lieberman et al.
(2015) at the University of California looked at real time processing in ASL signs and finds evidence
to support that when deaf children are exposed to ASL from birth, they are developing sub lexical
features within their

Understand The Difference Between Engine And A 6 Cylinder...
Choosing Between A 4 Cylinder And A 6 Cylinder Engine
When purchasing a vehicle, new or used the type of engine is just as important as any other feature.
Understanding the difference between the different engine types and sizes will help you to make an
informed decision when choosing a vehicle.
What Is The Difference?
A 4 cylinder engine contains 4 pistons while a 6 cylinder contains 6, driving the power of your engine.
So the easy answer would be more cylinders equals more power. Most small cars, light trucks, and
even some small SUV s contain 4 cylinder engines. 4 cylinder engines are typically inline engines (the
4 cylinders are in a straight line as opposed to a v shape like most 6 cylinder engines), making them
smaller and lighter weight.

Goldman And Sachs Case Summary
The problem to be investigated is looking into shades of gray when it comes to ethical behavior. For
years, companies have been operating within the law yet displayed very questionable behavior.
Companies like Goldman and Sachs utilizing questionable trading techniques in order to gain a
financial profit while leaving behind companies in the dust and eliminating hundreds if not thousands
of jobs in the process. Ethics is more than doing what s right or wrong. It s a way of life and how we
can have an effect on others.

Federalists vs. Democratic Republicans
The United States of America was founded on a Constitution that was supposed to preserve our
freedoms and certain liberties. All Americans at that time wanted to keep America a free an
independent nation with rights for its people. However there was two different groups, the Federalists
lead by Alexander Hamilton and the Democratic Republicans led by Thomas Jefferson, which thought
this could be achieved in very different ways. Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton were very
different in their methods to try and develop America as a nation. The two were very much alike
because they both were avid Americans, and wanted to see the nation succeed. Both men were very

The Federalist party, including Hamilton, supported the British more than the French. Federalists
wanted to stay neutral in the French Revolution. Someone who was polar opposite of Alexander
Hamilton in their views was Thomas Jefferson, a member of the Democratic Republican Party.
Jefferson was in favor of a smaller central government with more power to the states. He perceived
that it was unconstitutional to have the federal government to have so much influence on daily life.
Jefferson thought that agriculture should be the backbone of the economy. He also did not support the
idea of a central bank, Jefferson thought that the U.S. should pay off all of its debt and stay out of
business affairs. Those who labor in the earth are the chosen people of god.....for substantial and
genuine virtue (Document D). Thomas thought that America should be the voice of ALL of the people
so he wanted the common people to be able to have more of an influence in the government. Jefferson
did not trust the wealthy people in government and thought that the more down to earth farmers and
commoners would keep them in check. A very prominent difference in Hamilton and Jefferson was
their views on the constitution. Powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution,

Whenever a good rainfall comes in, one thing that troubles councilmember Oscar Galvan s mind are
the dugouts at Todd Park being flooded once again. Reaching levels high enough to cover the 20 year

Galvan said renovations are past due . With local baseball and softball teams now conditioning,
Galvan worries how teams will be accommodated once the spring season starts. When the water level

dungeon. I think what the city needs to do, is knock down these dugouts and bury the ground. Put a
cement slab from the entrance of where the dugout begins to the other end, put up a chain link fence,
something we can lock to keep out the homeless, set up aluminum benches and get rid of the dugouts
because there isn t a drain system for them, Galvan said. As an advocate for nice parks in the
community, Galvan said he values how much people utilize the parks and thinks the recreation here, is
something to be proud of. If you ever come here sometimes on the weekends, this park is full, Galvan
said. People come here for birthday parties, with big jumpers and have cook outs. Blythe is a beautiful
place with nice people, but our parks have been neglected over the years. Favorable to the bathroom

improvement project. The dugouts are a concern for me. I just don t think they re healthy anymore,

`` Beautiful Monsters `` By Eric Puchner
Will a perfect world ever exist? The ideology behind the creation of a utopia is so that its inhabitants
will be content, and have an equal understanding of one another. However, in the attempt to create this
dreamlike utopia, it becomes susceptible to becoming a dystopia because individuality is destroyed in
the hopes of creating unity. This futuristic, imagined universe in which oppressive societies are
controlled and make it seem like a perfect world, but what do these dystopian worlds show us? In his
text Beautiful Monsters, Eric Puchner depicts a world where adults are cast out of society. A world
where children live forever and control society. It s the conflict of the Perennials and the Senescent
that shows Puncher s political argument. Puchner s argument is people often classify people and reject
them from society through the false values that have been implemented in their society. While in Neil
Gaiman s and Bryan Talbot s comic strip, From Homogenous to Honey, they depict the world where a
masked assailant completely erases the homosexual narrative of history. By destroying these
narratives, he is carrying out his agenda, and creating a dystopian society where everyone s narrative
is the same. Gaiman and Talbot s argument speaks on if society were to strip away all homosexual
cultural influences. They bring the conclusion of individuality being attacked leading to a lack of
independent thinking, this, in turn, causes individuals to lose themselves. This

Sir Francis Bacon And William Shakespeare
1 There are a variety of theories that suggest that Sir Francis Bacon was, in fact, William Shakespeare.
Supporters of these claims refer to Shakespeare s writing style, lack of education, and reportedly
hidden messages within his texts as some of the evidence that indicates that Bacon was the real author
of the many plays and poems attributed to Shakespeare. However, these assertions do not conclusively
substantiate the Bacon theory and only attempt to discredit the real William Shakespeare. Therefore,
Sir Francis Bacon did not write as William Shakespeare. The first theory of Sir Francis Bacon being
the true author of Shakespeare came from the author Delia Bacon no relation. Delia Bacon was a
failed novelist and school teacher. In the late 1850 s, she made the general public aware of the Bacon
theory through both an essay and book on the subject. Bacon claimed that a comparison of Sir Francis
Bacon s writings with those of Shakespeare proved that Bacon was the true author, as she contended
the writing styles were the same. As a result, she did start the Baconian movement, which many
people believe to be true. Her book, The Philosophy of the Plays of Shakspere Unfolded, was written
in 1857, and the preface of the book was written by Nathanial Hawthorne. Hawthorne s preface never
gives support or validation to Bacon s findings. He ends his preface with the following statement, It is
for the public to say whether my countrywoman has proved her theory. In

Diffusion Of Displacement Essay
Empirical evidence regarding displacement and diffusion of benefits
A number of reviews and studies of displacement studies have been conducted since 1990. The first
critical examination of displacement was produced by Cornish and Clarke in 1987, and the result
showed that overall research stated that displacement is not inevitable, which is not compatible with
the traditional criminology predictions (Cornish and Clarke, 1987). In 1990, Barr and Pease examined
more research and found out that the evidence witch supported displacement hypothesis was little.
They suggested that it is difficult to distinguish displacement from natural offender behavior.
Moreover, they also suggested that some forms of displacement could be beneficial, i.e., less harmful
crime types (Barr and Pease, 1990). This is the similar idea of benign displacement.
Eck made a systematic review of the 33 empirical research and studies on displacement and suggested
that there is more reason to expect no displacement than a great deal ... Show more content on

They examined 102 evaluations of situationally focused crime prevention projects and evaluated 574
observations by using certain search strategy, inclusion and coding strategies, and quantitative
analytical approach, including the gross effect (GE), net effect (NE), the total net effect (TNE), and
the weighted displacement quotient (WDQ) (Bowers and Johnson, 2003; Clarke and Eck, 2005). They
found that the possibility of diffusion of benefits (27%) was even a little bit greater than the possibility
of displacement (26%). This provided the consistent support for the argument that crime did not
simply relocate because of the situational intervention, however, its opposite, the diffusion of benefit
was more likely to happen. Moreover, even though displacement could happen in some situation,
crimes tended to be less than before, so the initiatives were surely

face with dirt... (51). Instead of being the princess of the court, she is willing to put herself to the level
of forest people in order to protect her cousin. In the short story by Callaghan, Alice shows
unconditional love by buying George gifts including the watch he had always wanted. Although, their
relationship is shaky George admits that he wants to stay now. Yet, Alice still wants to give him more:
Then with all her heart she began to yearn for something more to give him [...] if she could only give
him everything in the world and leave herself nothing. (6). After all the pain she has felt by George

Alice show their love by their affection and need to care for the other character. Celia leaves the court
and her father for Rosalind and Alice pleases George by with the watch. Even if the situations are

  • 3. The Importance Of Respect Respect can be displayed in numerous ways which may be verbal or none verbal dependent upon the individual. My aim is to demonstrate a clear outline of respect touching upon subjects such as, human rights, and values. Respect can be as straightforward as manors such as please and thank you , although many may not always display this. Respect is dignity for every individual, mutual acknowledgment from one individual to another portraying thoughtfulness and equality. (Nhina le, 2016). Respect has changed outstandingly over the years which effects the way we live today. Morally It is of significance to include others without preconceptions or exceptions no matter of differences such as ethnicity or beliefs. (Joyce Catlett and Robert w firestone 2009) respect and human rights interlink, as in 1998 the humans right act came into power which is built up of 30 articles e.g. right to life which states that nobody including the government can try to end your life (ref article) these rights are about respect and belong to everyone. VALUEs Values are personal attributes of importance which we are passionate about, gained through life and experiences. Values certainly influence the opinions we have and the choices we make, as these are personal thoughts and felling of what we care about. (Hayden, 2006) Values affect the way we choose to live our life furthermore the way we act towards others and their life.(REF) As we develop as individuals many factors such as age, wisdom and life experiences are likely to have an impacted value s now held in comparison to ones held in younger life, as growth, knowledge and life experience act towards shaping us as individuals and the way we may view things. Values are not factual nevertheless there are no right or wrong values as these are personal to each and every individual. (x2ref) changes were made, which has a huge influence throughout the world. RESPECT many may say respect should be earned, but in certain instances, this is not always possible, for ex; when holding the door for someone who is walking behind you is effortless human respect, that is morally expected to be given and reciprocated. showing respect for someone does not necessarily mean you have to ... Disadvantages Of Sexual Harassment Think about having to be forced or coerced to demeaning and misappropriate conduct day in and out because you fear losing your job or being demoted to a less desirable position. Focus on how many victims of sexual harassment underwent calling out sick so that they would not have to be manipulated into doing acts that were degrading and immoral with someone they believed they could trust, like their supervisor. Moreover, walking into an atmosphere where work is not fun, but stressful and causes you much anguish and dissatisfaction, only because you are having to undergo much discomfort and shameful acts. Further, think about the thought of walking into your office everyday in anxiety and fear because you need your job and want your job. However, but you did not ask for the unwelcome sexual gestures, inappropriate touching, pressure to perform certain unlawful duties or be given stipulations such as do as you are told and instructed or be terminated. All the more, this is what many of the past case victims were accustomed to and subjected to each day while in the workplace. Consequently, this is what many victims of sexual harassment endure each day because they are too afraid to stand up and say anything to anyone because of fear of not being believed, afraid of losing their jobs, or generally because they were not sure what could be done. Even before sexual harassment and retaliation become widely known terms it was very much present and prevalent in many organizations. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The magnetic field lines of the North pole is attracted to the South pole. This is why in the figure, it can be seen that the two magnets are seeking each other. For subpart C. These loops are called the magnetic flux. When a charge moves in an electric field, it will experience an electrostatic force given by an equation F=qE. Also, when a charge enters a magnetic field B, a magnetic force is exerted. F=qv*B. If the charge moves in a wire, with length L, the force can be represented as F=ILBsin(theta). In the experiment, we were able to study the nature of the magnetic fields around the poles of magnets which helps me understand more about the concept of magnetic fields. We also determined the magnitude of magnetic force on a current carrying wire. We found out that these variables are directly proportional to each other. Lastly, we also study the nature of the relationships between magnetic force and magnetic field, current, length and orientation of current carrying wires. After the experiment, we were able to fully grasp the theories, concepts and principles relating to magnetism. As an application of the experiment, magnets in medicinal area is used and somehow very effective. It is used without any medicines. This may seem easy, but because there are so many interpersonal transactions and because hotels are open every day, all day, the complexities of operating become challenge that the general manager must face and overcome. The GM not only focuses on leading and operating the hotel departments but also on aspects of the infrastructure, from room atmosphere to security (Walker, 2013). If a restaurant is inside of a hotel, then the food and beverage division is overseen by the general manager of the hotel. In this scenario the person that runs the food and beverage division is referred to as the director of food and beverage. In this case, the director reports to the general manager of the hotel. Hip hop was able to give them a form of expression, a means of earning and a better representation for themselves. In Jay Z s essay One Eye Open , Jay Z shares his account, as a pioneer of the genre itself, of how hip hop started to gain its popularity and standing back when he was a young child and how it provides the people means to support their needs. In her essay From the Frying Pan into the Fire , Arlie Russell Hochschild shares what does it take to create a culture, she focused on how the capitalist economic system became a culture itself instead of supporting one. Although hip hop may have started out as an opposition to some of the values of capitalism, a lot of aspects of the hip hop culture thrive from the capitalist economy, it just follows a different set of rules. Even though many might think that hip hop is a form of art and that capitalism is an economic system, that is not all that they are, they can also be identified as cultural systems. A culture is created when groups of people start to have unique social patterns, like their own food, cloth, language and what not. Another way a culture is created is through rituals and an ideology that a group of people start following. The culture of capitalism was created through the anxieties to which it poses itself as a necessary answer (Hochschild 145). For this reason, what used to be just an ... • 8. Revolt Of 1381 Summary This account of the Peasants Revolt of 1381 by Jean Froissart, a medieval author and historian, is clearly quite biased in favor of the ruling class, but is nevertheless a valuable contemporary report of the causes of the uprising. Froissart focuses his attention on John Ball, an influential preacher who helped incite the rebellion. According to Froissart s account, Ball preached against the economic system of the time, railing against the luxurious clothes, houses, and food enjoyed by feudal lords at the expense of the peasants labor. John Ball rooted his argument against this system in the Bible, insisting that since all men were born from the same father and mother (Adam and Eve), all were thus equal in the eyes of god. The self contained and secure nature of the economies in these peasant communities leads Hilton to conclude that they would have been perfectly capable of functioning without the intervention of the higher classes. Moreover, Hilton proposes that the peasants may have been conscious of this. Especially in light of the frequent rebellions, he suggests that medieval peasants were acutely aware that their way of life had existed for far longer than the lords who exhorted rent and other payments from them. Hilton also doesn t fail to mention that many of these lords only attained their lands through conquest. From such a viewpoint, feudal lords seem less like even handed governors, and more like an imposing mafia. As a Marxist, Hilton may be guilty of overstating the flawless workings of the peasants alleged proto socialism; however, his explanation for the peasants frustrations is well reasoned, and surely provides a more accurate view of the peasants thoughts than the works of most medieval historians. It has also been seen that children from higher socioeconomic status families show greater interaction and exposure to language which leads to larger vocabularies as well as efficient real time processing (Fernald, A., Marchman, V. A., Weisleder, A., 2013). Ultimately, children who are more exposed to speech are able to interpret words, create mental lexicon representations leading them to be able to familiarize with words quicker and with better accuracy during speech in real time. This ability later shows rapid growth in vocabulary. (Weisleder et al., 2013) The looking while listening test is a good resource, however in some cases this test cannot be used. Such reasons arise in the assessment of deaf children that heavily rely on ASL signs as their primary tool for communication. Spoken language learning processes require visual and auditory modalities where as comprehension and processing of sign language requires visual attention to real world referents as well as attention to visual linguistic signs (Lieberman et al., 2015). • 29. Sir Francis Bacon And William Shakespeare 1 There are a variety of theories that suggest that Sir Francis Bacon was, in fact, William Shakespeare. Supporters of these claims refer to Shakespeare s writing style, lack of education, and reportedly hidden messages within his texts as some of the evidence that indicates that Bacon was the real author of the many plays and poems attributed to Shakespeare. However, these assertions do not conclusively substantiate the Bacon theory and only attempt to discredit the real William Shakespeare. Therefore, Sir Francis Bacon did not write as William Shakespeare. The first theory of Sir Francis Bacon being the true author of Shakespeare came from the author Delia Bacon no relation. Delia Bacon was a failed novelist and school teacher. In the late 1850 s, she made the general public aware of the Bacon theory through both an essay and book on the subject. Bacon claimed that a comparison of Sir Francis Bacon s writings with those of Shakespeare proved that Bacon was the true author, as she contended the writing styles were the same. As a result, she did start the Baconian movement, which many people believe to be true. Her book, The Philosophy of the Plays of Shakspere Unfolded, was written in 1857, and the preface of the book was written by Nathanial Hawthorne. The first critical examination of displacement was produced by Cornish and Clarke in 1987, and the result showed that overall research stated that displacement is not inevitable, which is not compatible with the traditional criminology predictions (Cornish and Clarke, 1987). In 1990, Barr and Pease examined more research and found out that the evidence witch supported displacement hypothesis was little. They suggested that it is difficult to distinguish displacement from natural offender behavior. Moreover, they also suggested that some forms of displacement could be beneficial, i.e., less harmful crime types (Barr and Pease, 1990). This is the similar idea of benign displacement.
