the ground. The advancement of sonic boom reduction could lead to the advancement in the way
we travel around the world with amazing speeds. Speeds up to mach 3.3 at 88,000ft (That s
nearly 17 miles!) can be achieved in an SR 71 Blackbird, that keep in mind, it was made and
introduced in 1966. 50 years later, we have the ability to transport people vast distances and at

A Review of Sandra Harding s Science and Social Inequality
In Science and Social Inequality, Sandra Harding argues that both the philosophy and practices of
modern Western science ultimately function to advance global social inequalities. Drawing on
feminist, postcolonialist, multicultural, and antiracist critiques of Western science, Harding supports
this argument and exposes the ways in which modern Western science engenders social injustices
particularly within the contexts of militarism, environmental destruction, and Western expansion.
Through the nuanced and multilayered review and analysis of these critiques, Harding proposes
ways to re conceptualize the sciences and formulates a persuasive case for the emergence of
feminist, practice focused philosophies of science.
Science and Social Inequality is divided into two sections; this paper will examine the structural
organization of Harding s text with particular attention to how the initial section supports her
proposed reconceptualization of the sciences on a global scale. My aim is to review themes and

techniques are presented by using existing techniques such as Singular value decomposition,
wavelet difference reduction (WDR) and Adaptive wavelet difference reduction (ASWDR). The
SVD has been taken as a standard technique to hybrid with WDR and ASWDR. Firstly SVD is
combined with WDR (SVD WDR) and after that it is combined with its advance version that is
ASWDR (SVD ASWDR) in order to achieve better image quality and higher compression rate.
These two techniques are implemented or tested on several images and results are compared in
terms of PSNR, MSE and CR.
IndexTerms Compression rate (CR), Peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR), Mean square error (MSE),
Joint photographic expert group (JPEG2000), Singular value decomposition (SVD), Wavelet

Tim Beckman Violations In Sports
Tim Beckman, the head coach of The Fighting Illini collegiate football was fired for allegations
of mismanaging the health of student players on Friday, Aug. 28. Athletic director Mike Thomas
