The document discusses fuel, its classification, and ways to conserve it. It defines fuel as a substance that produces useful energy through chemical or nuclear reactions. Fuels are classified as primary (found in nature) or secondary (processed from primary). Fossil fuels like oil, coal and natural gas are discussed as primary but non-renewable fuels. Methods to conserve fuel in vehicles and homes include driving and cooking efficiently, using public transport, and maintaining appliances. The importance of conserving non-renewable fossil fuels is highlighted.

Hi , I am Ruby. I would like to share a ppt on ऊर्जा संरक्षण /Energy Conservation. "Let's NURTURE THE NATURE, SO THAT WE CAN HAVE A BETTER FUTURE". Hope these slide will help you to know better about EnergyConservation.
Primary fuels – Fuels which occur naturally such as coal, crude petroleum and natural gas. Coal and crude petroleum, formed from organic matter many millions of years ago, are referred to as fossil fuels.
Secondary fuels – Fuels which are derived from naturally occurring ones by a treatment process such as coke, gasoline, coal gas etc.
A ppt on Alternative Fuels.
I hope this ppt would be useful for u all.
It describes the different types of alternative fuels which can be used in today's era
for saving the excessive consumption of conventional fuels.
Alternative fuels are also known as Non-Conventional fuels or Green Fuels.

Characterization and the Kinetics of drying at the drying oven and with micro...Open Access Research Paper
The objective of this work is to contribute to valorization de Nephelium lappaceum by the characterization of kinetics of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum. The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.
UNDERSTANDING WHAT GREEN WASHING IS!.pdfJulietMogola
Many companies today use green washing to lure the public into thinking they are conserving the environment but in real sense they are doing more harm. There have been such several cases from very big companies here in Kenya and also globally. This ranges from various sectors from manufacturing and goes to consumer products. Educating people on greenwashing will enable people to make better choices based on their analysis and not on what they see on marketing sites.

Diabetes is a rapidly and serious health problem in Pakistan. This chronic condition is associated with serious long-term complications, including higher risk of heart disease and stroke. Aggressive treatment of hypertension and hyperlipideamia can result in a substantial reduction in cardiovascular events in patients with diabetes 1. Consequently pharmacist-led diabetes cardiovascular risk (DCVR) clinics have been established in both primary and secondary care sites in NHS Lothian during the past five years. An audit of the pharmaceutical care delivery at the clinics was conducted in order to evaluate practice and to standardize the pharmacists’ documentation of outcomes. Pharmaceutical care issues (PCI) and patient details were collected both prospectively and retrospectively from three DCVR clinics. The PCI`s were categorized according to a triangularised system consisting of multiple categories. These were ‘checks’, ‘changes’ (‘change in drug therapy process’ and ‘change in drug therapy’), ‘drug therapy problems’ and ‘quality assurance descriptors’ (‘timer perspective’ and ‘degree of change’). A verified medication assessment tool (MAT) for patients with chronic cardiovascular disease was applied to the patients from one of the clinics. The tool was used to quantify PCI`s and pharmacist actions that were centered on implementing or enforcing clinical guideline standards. A database was developed to be used as an assessment tool and to standardize the documentation of achievement of outcomes. Feedback on the audit of the pharmaceutical care delivery and the database was received from the DCVR clinic pharmacist at a focus group meeting.

4. What is Fuel ?
A substance that produces useful energy
when it undergoes a chemical or nuclear
reaction. Fuel such as coal , wood, oil or
gas provides energy when burned.
9. FOSSIL FUELS
Fossil fuels are fuels formed by
natural processes such as
anaerobic decomposition of
buried dead organisms. Fossil
fuels take so long to form so
they are considered as non-
renewable. ex.- oil , natural gas
etc.
10. known as non-
conventional or advanced fuels, are
any materials or substances that can
be used as fuels, other than
conventional fuels like; fossil
fuels(petroleum, coal and natural
gas. ex.- biodiesel, bioalcohol ,
methanol, propane etc.
14. WHY TO CONSERVE FOSSIL FUELS ?
Coal, oil and natural gas are fossil fuels.
They have been in existence for millions of
years. Many people use these fuels as an
energy source. However, fossil fuels are
non-renewable ; if these resources are
depleted , they will never be available
again. It is therefore important to
conserve fossil fuels, using alternative
sources of energy when possible.
15. HOW TO CONSERVE FUEL IN A VEHICLE
1.Drive less
2. Accelerate with care and minimize the use of
brakes.
3. Turn off your vehicle in slow traffic and at
traffic signals.
4. Use AC sparingly.
5. Encourage car pooling.
6. Use electric powered car.
7. Use public transport systems.
8. Check your air filter.
9. Check your tire pressure.
10. Back off the bling.
11. Clean out the trunk and eliminate unnecessary
weight.
19. 1. Use metal pans such as stainless steel for
cooking and maintain shiny outer surfaces
on pans.
HOW TO CONSERVE
FUEL IN HOME
20. 2. Use a pan that is wide enough to
cover the flame.
3. Once a dish comes to a boil reduce
the flame so that it is just enough to
maintain boiling.
21. 4. Keep the pan closed whenever possible.
5. Make sure the flame is colourless or
blue.
22. 6. Use a pressure cooker.
7. Use a thermal cooking bag.
23. 8. Understand your heating system
and its controls.
9. Use the sun.
10. Investigate switching to a different
energy supplier.
11. Buy energy- efficient appliances.
25. SAVE FUEL SAVE MONEY
We believe the days of cheap fuel
are over. We could all get
economical cars, ride bicycles to
work from home to reduce the fuel
expense. But if necessary we would
be driving in such a way as to save
fuel.
26. HELP STOP FUEL WASTE
1. Use less hot water.
2. Turn off radiators to prevent over
heating.
3. Don’t demand heat 24 hours a day.
4. Keep windows opened as far as
possible.
