This document discusses friability testing of different types of tablets. Friability testing determines the physical strength of tablets by measuring weight loss after mechanical stress. Tests were conducted on enteric coated, uncoated, film coated, and double layer tablets. The enteric coated, film coated, and double layer tablets all had friability levels below 0.8% and were accepted. However, the uncoated tablets had a friability level of 2.82% and were rejected as this exceeded the acceptance level of below 0.8% according to British Pharmacopoeia specifications.
