My project is going to be called Not All Those That Wander Are Lost
Main area of activity:
I will be mostly working in film because I love filming, everything down to planning where to go to
film to then editing all my footage and seeing my final product at the end, feeling accomplished.
Rationale: 100 words approx.
Throughout the year, I have acquired more skills and a clear understanding of how to use
software’s such as Photoshop or Premiere Pro to produce a music video, which was my favourite
part of the year. I learnt how to properly plan everything from what locations, script, time, angles,
music, absolutely everything and something which helped me a lot as well is the fact that I went
onto YouTube to look at tips and tricks to do with both of those software’s so that I could enhance
my pervious knowledge and utilize it, to fabricate the best version of my ideas, which is what I plan
to do this time with my film trailer. When I created my last video it was only around 2 minutes and
30 seconds long, which makes this one different because I plan to make this video in between 2
and 4 minutes long. Additionally, I figured out how my phone camera works and how to use it to
my best ability and there is still room for improvement, but this means that I am going into this
project with much more knowledge and a clear perception of what I am going to compose.
Project Concept: 200 words approx.
So, the main concept for my project is to make my audience feel consumed by the music and
graphics, for them to then encounter pure emotions from what they see on their screen because
that is how exactly I like to feel when I see a film trailer. The reason why I want to create an action
themed trailer is because they are my favourite type of movies and I am immediately inspired from
what I have seen, and I come up with varied visions of what I could do which is what exactly I want
to happen for me to succeed. Moreover, the research that I will need to conduct is having a look at
trailers which differ from each other on YouTube such as Fast and Furious, Transformers and
Skyscraper to see what is already out there, so infringement does not become a problem and to
also be influenced by the way editors have distinctively edited their videos and bring those
expertise’s forward with me. Last but not least, this will help me with my project because i can
review what I have seen and decide how that will fit into my development or not, to get up to high
standards.
How will the project be evaluated and reviewed: 50 words approx.
I plan to fil out reflection forms regularly, so that when it comes down to evaluating my production, I
have forms which tell me how I worked through the project and what I did in order to complete it.
Additionally, by analysing myself and the new skills I have learnt or things I have done differently in
this project, will allow me to understand more and take more of an understanding forward with me
to my future career.
