- 1. Tell me in no more than20 words, what is your FMP idea? A marketingpackagebased arounda superhero film concept. The film is abouta magical sorceress who mustdefend earth from otherworldly threats. Why have youdecided to makeit? I decided to makethis for my FMP as I wouldlike to work in the graphic designindustry. I thought thatcreating advertsfor a conceptwould be ideal to gain experience andpresent my skills in this area. What aboutyourproject makesit importantto you? The film concept makesthis importanttome. I have always enjoyed and been inspired by the work thatgoes into the superherofilm genre and look forward tocreating a marketingpackage basedaroundmy ownoriginal conceptand character. Outline someof the initial influences onyour idea/work and somepotential research targets (remember, research isn’t justa paper-based activity) Mysticalcharacters in Marvelcomics and films suchas ‘Scarlet Witch’ and ‘Dr. Strange’ and the promotionandmerchandisefor thesecharacters are somemain influences for my ideas. As an audience member I love the colourschemes for the marketingand find the characters very entertaining. For research, I will be lookingonline at marketing packagesfor different conceptsin the superhero genre and compare similarities anddifferences. I will look at how characters like mine are presentedin film and on advertisements. I also have comic booksof my own thatI will look at to gather inspiration for my project. What effect do youwant to haveon your audience when they see yourproject? I would hopemy project would entertainand captivate anaudience. Any merchandiseI create shouldbe marketableand makethe audience want to purchase, the postersshoulddraw the audience in and makethem want to see the promotedfilm. Describe the tone/mood/styleofyourproject [which productiontechniques/characteristicsare youemploying?] My productswill have a mystic/magical toneand style. There will be dark colourscontrastingwith brighter colours showing the characters powers. I will be creating the pieces for this project using Adobe software such asPhotoshopandIllustrator.
