Graphic Design Production
• Advantages of working in this medium
– Visually pleasing
– Easy to use
– Very quick
– It should be able to capture the focus of the viewer however this one
didn’t.
– It makes sharing information easy
• Disadvantages of working in this medium
– Could give of a bad vibe
– Gives to little information
– The expectations of the piece were much higher than what I expected.
– It seems very cluttered
– For the writing it was difficult to even find an alright place to put the
information.
Graphic Design Production
The similarities between these
pieces are that they look old and
the differences are that one is a
cartoon and one is a real picture
for an ad at the time.
The strengths are that it
looks colourful and old
however it also has a lot of
simplicity to it making it
easier to focus on some areas
more than others. It’s
weaknesses are that it is
slightly jagged because I tried
to use the rubber to make
the edges smoother and I
would change this by using
the wand to edit out the
colour. All that I used to
create this piece is copy and
paste and colouring and
some very shady rubbing out.
Radio Production
• Advantages of working in this medium
– You get a more down to Earth human feel to it
– It is easy to listen to it if you have it in the right
format.
• Disadvantages of working in this medium
– Difficult to use the premier software when you
haven’t used it before.
– Can lose files if not saved correctly my version got
corrupted easily and we needed to do all the steps
in premier again.
Radio Production

There are only a few similarities such as we had the intro for M.I and
had the idea of using M.I intro. It is different in the way that it is a
visual ad not a radio ad and it is a promotional partner ad.
Radio Production
• The strengths: gives more information
• Usually get them on radio or on Spotify so it is
easy for them to circulate.
• The weaknesses : Some people just don’t pay any
attention to the radio
• It could be confusing if no info is given and so
some people will guess and end up getting the
wrong product name to the company.
• Changes I would make: don’t do it on premier
• Software used: Premier it is confusing AF.
Video Game Experiments
Video Game Production
• Advantages of working in this medium
• Being able to see the product and it is easier to
edit, it also if done well could have a nice
aesthetic feel to it.
• Disadvantages of working in this medium
• Harder to use and turns out as if it is not very
sleek it is also difficult to make things look
lively in this format.
Video Game Production
The similarities between the two are
the layout and the animation however
the main dissimilarities are that
instead of barrels there are Pepsi logos
and instead of saving the woman at
the top I made it into a coke can and it
is like a pipe which the character
travels to the next stage.
The strengths of this piece is the ending where
the can is kind of like a pipe which the character
travels through the other strength is the
animation, however the weaknesses are only the
moving of the Pepsi logos. I would try and fix this
by turning the Pepsi logo each time it moves.
All we used is Photoshop and it’s animation
software
Comparison• Which product do you believe advertises the product the best?
Why?
• I think the poster type advert was the best at getting the point
across because it actually shows you a message and has something
to promote it. I found this to be easier than the others because I
have used Photoshop before for art projects and stuff like that
however I was completely confused when it came up to using
premier and I didn’t save it into the right format and so I had to
redo it again because it also became corrupted somehow.
• Which of your products is the most professional? Why?
• Either the poster or the Radio ad because I put a bit more thought
into the others and for the advergame I only used ideas from old
retro games, the radio ad was harder to edit however it was easier
to create as in the speech and the sound effects were easy to find
however when it came to putting it all together it was very difficult
to edit however I believe it was our best piece as a group and the
poster was just easy with a few minor step backs such as where
should I out the information and is the editing good enough
however coming up with the idea was easy and the editing became
easier in time.
