Reflection About Faith
You may be going through something and aren t quite sure how you ll get through it but I am here to
tell you there is a way, it s called faith. Hebrews 11:1 says Now faith is the substance of things hoped
for, the evidence of things not seen. Battles will come in this life and you may feel like you are going
to fail or that your life is going to end. Speaking from experience there are things that I would not
have dealt with well if it wasn t for having faith that God would take care of it all. Here in this essay, I
am going to share some of my experiences and battles that have come my way. It was 2014, I was
twelve years old and on my way to the James Cancer Center at OSU hospital not for me but my dad.
He was going into surgery that morning for a brain tumor they had found. See this was the third time
he had brain surgery but the first time I was in my mother s womb and the second time I was only
five. This time was different for me though, I understood a lot more about what was going on.
We walked into the hospital and man is OSU large, I have no idea how we found our way around but
we made it to the waiting area where we had come to find my mom and many people from our church.
You could just feel the love when you walked in there, God truly had blessed us greatly with a
wonderful church family. While sitting and waiting you start to think too much and
begin getting bad thoughts, what if they mess up the surgery? What if my dad doesn t make it or is no

Montana Army Aviation started in the early 1950 s with only a handful of pilots and mechanics that
returned to Montana from active service that still wanted to serve their country from their home state
with the Montana Army National Guard. Equipped with only a few OH 23 Raven helicopters and a
small hangar, the Montana Army National Guard Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF) was born.
The units assigned at that time only had limited capabilities but it soon grew into an outstanding
organization full of professional Soldiers willing to give their time to make sure the state and country
had operational aircraft ready for any mission assigned for national or state emergencies.
Montana was reorganized into an Attack Helicopter Battalion (AHB) in 1988 with AH 1S Cobras, UH
1 Iroquois and OH 58 Kiowa Scouts. With the new Battalion, D Company was formed comprised of
the Maintenance Platoon, Back Shops Platoon, Quality Control Section, Technical Supply Section and
Production Control Section. Maintenance efforts of D Company were able to support the aircraft for
the multiple Gunnery Ranges that they participated in. Some of the ranges that they occupied was in
Yakima, WA, Hill AFB, UT and the local ranges at Limestone Hills near Townsend, MT.

Death of a Salesman vs. Fifth Business, Feminist Perspective

Comparative Essay
Fifth Business by Roberson Davies and Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller
Throughout most of history woman have faced an imbalance within their social class opposed to the
male gender. They have had fewer rights and much fewer career opportunities, the stereotype that a
women s place is in the home is due to the most socially accepted and common career of wifehood
and motherhood. Through the comparison of Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller and Fifth Business
by Robertson Davies the contrasts between both works are explored from the feminist perspective.

Dempster the ropes left substantial scares within Dunstan as he matured, thus forming issues with
commitment and intimacy. Dunstan s mother because of her household tasks within the era of his
childhood left her with the devotion mainly to her husband and later to Mrs. Dempster. In relation to
Death of a Salesman Linda and Willy s son Happy developed similar characteristics because he was
hidden in the shadow of his brother Biff, Willy s favored son. For the reasons of his rejection and

Linda protests to Willy her concern towards Happy s manner towards woman He s to rough with the

for attention as he uses woman as sexual objects. Because Linda s attention was fixated among the
male dominate within the household, that of which being Willy, she failed to give Happy an equal

The Male Gaze Essay
In this essay, I will develop a critical analysis of contemporary mainstream film and I will argue that
attitudes and behaviour within this industry are adapting, albeit slowly, to respond to developing
attitudes within society. To assert this theory, I will focus specifically upon the identity of the gaze and
discuss how this has been applied, previously and currently, in action and science fiction films;
expanding upon Laura Mulvey s argument in Visual Pleasure and Narrative Cinema (1975), regarding
voyeurism and the application of the male gaze .
The gaze is a term that describes how we engage with visual media. Mulvey posits that there are three
types of cinematic gaze to be considered in mainstream film; that of the characters, that of the camera
and that of the audience. She explores the idea that the gaze is always male; a theory ... Show more

During a fight scene, Deadpool attempts to deconstruct his own genre and addresses gender
stereotypes when he makes satirical reference to feminism, asking his female rival if it is sexist to hit
her or if it is more sexist not to hit her. This question is quickly and efficiently answered when Angel
Dust responds with violence, overpowering Deadpool and hitting him with such force that it drives
him out of the frame. Feminist discussion of the male gaze identifies the effect that it has upon how
women perceive themselves and allow themselves to be perceived by men and other women. In this
film, the female gaze is used to achieve that same affect but with a much more positive outcome.
Neale states that men and women do not assume roles in gendered isolation, but often play the role
they believe women and men would like them to play and I think that this statement becomes accurate
when you analyse the role of women in this particular

In terms of filling my obligations I completed all but one. I believe we as a chorus performed well,

Symbolism In The Divine Comedy
Every arrangement of words seems to be an understatement when mentioning the success and
influence of Dante s epic poem The Divine Comedy. An allegory is a story, poem, or picture that can
be interpreted to reveal a hidden meaning, typically a moral or political one (Oxford Dictionary). The
Divine Comedy has provided inspiration for a large body of Western Art. Originally published in the
14th century, his medieval poem written in the vernacular language of the people has been the material
for countless numbers of new editions containing illustrations. Each artist finds their own clever way
to express the messages in The Divine Comedy. The amount of art dedicated to this epic poem is just
as impressive as the poem itself.
Inferno appears to be the most popular of the three books, especially in the visual arts. Dante s is a
visual imagination (T.S. Elliot). Extremely detailed, the book describes Hell in the most powerful
visual terms. In the Inferno, Dante and the poet Virgil go to Hell where they witness the many
punishments for those who disobeyed God during their lives. Each layer of Hell, described in thirty
three cantos and one introductory canto, is unique and fitting for the soul and the specific sin that was
committed. (Web Gallery of Art, 2017)
The most accurate representation of the structure of Dante s Hell, Sandro Botticelli is responsible for
The Map of Hell, which depicts the nine circles of Hell. Described as a cave, the Map of Hell on paper
is in the shape of a funnel with layers. Each layer is a level of Hell described by Dante. The levels get
smaller and smaller until, at the bottom of the cave or funnel one sees a satanic like beast at the bottom
or core. Starting with Limbo and ending with Treachery, each layer is drawn out in magnifying detail.
Sandro Botticelli was an Italian painter of the early Renaissance, the Florentine was alive from around
1445 to 1510 (Florence Inferno, 2017). The man responsible for The Birth of Venus, a masterpiece
that is referred to in both historical context and in pop culture, he was a very decadent and detailed
artist. His illustrations for The Divine Comedy were extremely devoted to the text and very precise.
They seem to reflect the recognizable

Olaudah Equiano, or Gustavus Vassa, documenting the hardships of slavery throughout his lifetime.
Equiano writes one of the best primary sources from a slave s perspective and master s perspective

Indies to North America was really like. Olaudah Equiano shares his heart wrenching journey through
the brutality of slavery experienced at such young age to him mastering economics and being able to

Just when the reader had thought it couldn t get worse for the troubled boy, he aches, we were soon
deprived of even the small comfort of weeping together. Even after he shares with us that he has been
thrown in a sack and basically deprived of his basic human rights, this was a new rock bottom for
Equiano. No love, no shelter, no family. It s the horrible details Equiano writes about that gives the
reader mental images of him being torn from his family and village and sold into slavery with his
sister in North America and West Indies. It isn t until later on where Equiano and his sister reconnect.
Equiano weeps of deep emotion as he and his sister reunite, and persuades the reader how terrible the
masters were for tearing them apart. When these people knew we were brother and sister they
indulged us together; and the man, to whom I supposed we belonged, lay with us, he in the middle,
while she and I held one another by the hands across his breast all night; and thus for a while we
forgot our misfortunes in the joy of being together: but even this small comfort was soon to have an
end; for scarcely had the fatal morning appeared, when she was again torn from me for ever! The
context of this piece and descriptive, heart wrenching words Equiano uses appeals to the pathos side
of his story. This emotional plea helps the reader grasp what it must have felt like to be reunited and
torn, yet again from a beloved. It is the same

Use Of Setting In Edgar Allen Poe s The Tell-Tale Heart
Analysis of Setting in Tell Tale Heart Edgar Allen Poe uses the literary device setting , to create a dark
tone in his story, The Tell Tale Heart . The story uses about 5 settings: 3 of them are used often, like
Mood and Atmosphere, the Time of Day, and Elapsed Time, while the other two are not common, like
Locale and Population. They help the story a lot by making it spooky. Mood and Atmosphere in this
story uses lighting the most. Evidence of this is when the Madman has his lamp covered in black, so
that he can see what he is doing, but the Old Man cannot. The Old Man s room in the story is pitch
black at night, making it scary when The Madman enters. Also, the Madman hides near Deathwatches,
a beetle that represents death. Time

My Work Experience In High School Community
I sprinted into school and up four flights of stairs, and returned to the announcer s booth. When I
arrived, I was exhausted and disheveled, and worst of all the game had already begun. I turned the
microphone on and caught my breath. The silence that filled the stands was overtaken by the laughter
that filled the crowd as my co announcer and I cracked corny jokes and encouraged everyone to cheer
for the powder puff football game. As my voice hung over our entire high school community, I
understood why I am comfortable announcing this spirit event before homecoming, performing
backflips on the field and leading karaoke during the football games. I am proud to create an
atmosphere of fun that unifies our community. With kids from 47 zip codes attending Summit Country

Ionotropic Receptors Research Paper
Ionotropic receptors is a binding site that opens when an ion attaches to the binding site. The
ionotropic receptor is also a direct method to the ion channels. Ionotropic receptors has a channel
where molecules move in and out of the ion channel. The ions that goes into the ion channel are made
out of sodium which cause the membrane to become small.
Metabotropic receptors is receptor that is a part of the binding site of a neurotransmitter. Metabotropic
is indirect and complex method to the ion channels. Metabotropic receptor process is also different
from the inotropic receptor. When the ion channel is open the molecule move to the ion channel then
molecule attaches to the metabotropic receptor and the ion channel closes.

Powerade Case Study
Powerade is a sports energy drink manufactured by Coca Cola. It has been around since 1988 and was
intended to compete with Gatorade in the sports drink industry. After being introduced, it successfully
became the official sports drink for the Olympics of that year. Their product line consists of only
beverages and lacks complementary goods like protein bars or energizing snacks. Their two specific
products is the Powerade ION4 and Powerade ZERO. ZERO is a healthy alternative for consumers in
which the product has zero calories in the beverage. It is not typically recommended for intense heavy
training. Instead they have the ION4 as a substitute for those who train hard. Despite the differences,
both products include the electrolytes needed to replace the ones lost to respiration and sweating
during workouts. In terms of this product s current lifecycle, many arguments could definitely be
made for its status. Since there is only two major giants or manufacturers in the sports drink industry, I
would consider Powerade to be in a late maturity stage of their product life cycle. It is obviously
behind Gatorade in terms of sales. I would argue late maturity because of the product s longevity on
the market. They have lowered their costs over the years and in return this means lowered profits, but
this strategy allows them to compete. Gatorade is the premium on the market and their sales are still
up. According to Business Insider, I reviewed graphs of the market share of both

The Pros And Cons Of The Moon Landing
For the last forty years people have been arguing whether if the Moon landings were real. The Moon
landings occurred during the late 1960 s and into the early 1970 s. During this time the United States
and the Soviet Union were in a competition known as the Space Race. The main objective during the
Space Race was for one country to put a man on the Moon. The competition was getting intense, and
both countries began expanding their space programs. During the Space Race and the Apollo missions
NASA created over 400,000 jobs making it impossible for all of the workers to keep the events a
secret if it were fake (Riley). The technology between the two countries was also top of the line at that
time. The Soviet Union could track down the United States every move, so therefore if the moon
landings were fake; the Soviet Union would clearly know (Allen). With the technological
advancements and the jobs created throughout the process of the Apollo missions, it s obvious that
NASA did not fake the Moon landings. Conspiracy theorists believe that the evidence of the flag
waving in space, the lighting from the pictures, and the strange shadows from the pictures create it
obvious that the Moon landings were all a hoax. Conspiracy theorists claim these areas for the Moon
landing being fake, and in the end they believe that the moon landings were done in a T.V. studio to
give the affect that the Moon landings were in fact real. The flag waving is the largest claim that

The Crisis By Thomas Paine Summary
The Crisis Close Reading Analysis Thomas Paine wrote The Crisis to explain that Britain controlling
the colonies. His purpose had called tens of thousands of men to arms against Great Britain. The
colonies were forced to quarter troops and had unreasonable taxes placed upon them. Pain s reasoning
was justified because of how Britain was controlling the colonies. To begin, Paine wrote The Crisis in
a very organized fashion by using facts. He calls the Summer Soldier lazy and that they only act in
their own interest. He declares the fault of the war to be on the colonies for not making proper use of
last winter and they couldn t while being an independent state but they want to fix their mistake. Paine
used some good examples, first he used Joan of Arc who was able to raise and lead an army of her
countrymen to fight. He used this example to try and get the people to fight. Paine also used an
example of a man who stood at a tavern and said Well! Give me peace in my day . The man wanted
his kid to go and fight so he could be at peace. Paine used these these examples in a very effective way
because it persuaded tens of thousands to stand up against Britain. ... Show more content on

Public Eye on Sexual Offenders Essay example
Public Eye on Sexual Offenders In preparing for this essay it has been identified that sexual offenders
are not a homogenous group of individuals and that this is an umbrella term used to describe a range
of behaviours ranging from acts of voyeurism and exhibitionism, to more serious acts of pedophilia
and rape. For the purpose of this essay I have chosen to focus on the more serious forms of sex
offending which in my opinion, are the cause of much of the current attention. In order to understand
why sexual offenders attract so much attention I will begin by considering today s society and the
emergence of post modernist values and the preoccupation with risk. I shall then go on to consider ...

It was during the period of modernity which stems back to the 18th century, that notions of tradition,
feudalism and superstition began to be replaced by reasoning, science and exploration. There was a
move away from harsh penal conditions and a move towards reforming individuals. It was during this
period of modernity that there existed societal consensus and a general air of optimism which
generated high levels of trust and respect for people in authority. During the mid 1980s post
modernism emerged as an area of academic study, and it is this which currently describes today s
developed world. Attempts have been made to chart the shift from modernism to post modernism,
however this is largely attributed to the work of Ulrich Beck and what he describes as the emergence
of a risk society (Beck 1986). Beck argued that the public are constantly being confronted with
socially created risks which endanger survival (Beck 1986, p32). He saw one of these being
globalisation, whereby communication is now effortless, thus increasing the risk of messages being
distorted and information saturated which hence has the potential to perturb (Beck, 1986). Another
was the creation of moral panics, first introduced by Stanley Cohen in his book Folk Devils and Moral
Panics in 1972. He identified a

Human Resource Management Of An Organization Essay
Graschl (2011) commented on the essential piece of information that Human Resource Management
of an organization is one of the integral part of the organization that helps in maximizing the
performance of the employees for meeting the objectives of the organization. In this contemporary
world, the importance of hotel and hospitality industry is increasing in a rapid rate and hence
managing the people within the hotels and restaurants is now a major concern. This is because, it is
generally seen that the hospitality industries that deals with the welfare and satisfaction of the
customers, do not give much care and importance to the employees. As mentioned by Lean Darder,
Villar Garca
a Pla Barber (2011) the employees therefore are not at all treated well that leads to the less
employee retention and dissatisfaction. The hotel industry in New Zealand is in a consistent growth
over years and hence it is essential for the hotels to look after the interest of the employees. The HR
practices should be present that includes both the appraisals and employee engagement that is
essential for each and every hotel industry.
In this research work, the researcher deals with the identification of the contemporary issue of Human
resource management along with the discussion on the employee engagement process as the
contemporary issue. In addition to this, the management of the identification of the issues that includes

This study was a seminal replication on attention blink similar to the one done by Raymond et al, in a
rapid serial visual presentation (RSVP) task. This study predicted that there would be a higher
accuracy for identifying the first target, T1 and lower accuracy for the second target, T2 depending on
the lag, given that T1 was accurately reported. 193 students participated in the experiment. This
experiment was a part of the course requirement. There was a stream of 19 letters, each lasting for 100
ms. The target letters, T1 and/or T2, to be identified were either a J or a K or both from the stream of
19 letters presented. In this study, a total of 60 trials were conducted for each participant. For T1, there
were 30 J and 30 K targets. T2 comprised of 24 J, 24 K and 12 null targets. The participants were
asked to decide whether they saw the letters J, K, both or neither following the RSVP stream. They
were asked to do so by using a button click mechanism. At the end of all the trials, the participants
were presented with a summary of their performance report. It was observed that the percentage of T1
reported does not vary significantly as a function of lag. Also, the percentage of T2 reported varied as
a function of lag. At greater lag positions, it was seen that the percentage of T2 reported goes above
that of T1.

Salmon River was an extremely productive tributary into the late 19th century. Unfortunately, a
variety of factors led to the degradation of the water and subsequently the Atlantic Salmon population
collapsed. These factors included deforestation, over fishing, and dam construction. (dec.ny)

(Falconer and Mackay, 1996). Additionally, (Youngson et al 2003) explains that in the management of
hatcheries, managers must make decisions based on population structure and genetic insight. This
research would provide novel information that could inform better decision making in terms of the
effectiveness and efficiency of the hatchery.
The Atlantic Salmon is an appropriate fish to study because of it s importance globally. It is a
commonly eaten fish, and is very prevalently produced used in aquaculture techniques. In addition to
that, it s a fish that has seen a dramatic population decline globally. There are major conservation
efforts concerning it, specifically on the coast of Maine. It is an anadromous fish, and typically spends
2 3 years in freshwater, then spends about 2 3 years in the ocean and then returns to it s native river to
spawn. This makes it very vulnerable to the conditions it may face in both environments.
The general approach of this study will follow similar methodology to the approach used in Ward
2006. The Genetic diversity within the populations will be examined based on samples locus
genotypes and the genome diversity can be examined for fits to Hardy Weinberg expectations. The
genetic differentiation between the samples will be quantified using the FST statistic from Wright,

CAR ACCIDENTS
Texting while driving has become a recent issue in today s society. Many teens, as well as adults, has
formed a habit of using their cell phones while driving and this tend to cause car accidents. This
canbgfgrtte be a distraction and the probabilities of causing a car wreck are higher. The government
has noticed an increase in this so they passed a law making it illegal to be on your phone while
driving. The National Safety Council estimates, 38,300 people were killed and 4.4 million injured on
U.S roads in 2015.
The United States is on track to have its deadliest traffic year since 2007 , the National Safety Council
says with nearly 19,000 people killed as a result of motor vehicle accidents between January and June.
There are multiple reasons why there is car accidents in today s society. The issue is that there are so
many people dying every day in the United States because they are going over the speed limit and
texting while driving. 11% of drivers ages 18 to 20 who were involved in an automobile accident and

The Implementation Gap Between Theory And Practice Of...
Overview of Topic:
Sustainability is somewhat of a contentious issue within heritage planning. It is widely used, but not
always well understood. This essay proposal uses this term to mean balancing the needs of current
society with the preservation of current resources to improve cultural vitality, social equality,
environmental responsibility and economic vitality (Letourneau, 2016). Each of these pillars contains
several aspects, such as innovation and ecological balance, which contribute to the overall success of a
community. Heritage must be protected in a holistic and multidisciplinary way, which engages the
community and transfers to policy, practice and implementation.
Research Question:
How has the implementation gap between theory and practice of heritage planning contribute to the
goal of sustainability?
Overview of Research Design:
The research will follow the structure of four organisational sections: a review of relevant literature,
an overview of applicable government policies, a case study and an analysis of theoretical and
historical approaches. Theory and historical approaches will be explored through a review of relevant
literature to identify how heritage planning has contributed to sustainability goals. The review
combined with an overview of applicable policy and a related case study will compose the basis of the
paper.
This research is significant due to the differing approaches of theory and practice. Theoretical
approaches often through

would have expected? Why or why not? I chose three jobs of COO (Chief Operating Officer), HRIS
(Human Resource Information Systems) Manager, and Customer Service Representative, and I
studied these three jobs salary in Boston MA. COO is paid the highest, its median annual salary is
$455,864. Then is HRIS Manager with a median annual salary of $113,583. Customer Service
Representative gets the lowest payment, $35,250 as a median annual salary. This rank is exact what I

does the pay for jobs advertised either at your company or elsewhere differ from the pay levels on

annual salaries for COO, HRIS Manager, and Customer Service Representative are $135,006,
$82,025, and $34,795. The numbers are quite different from the ones at Boston. I consider this
difference due to the geographic reason. The living cost at Boston is much higher than most other
cities in the US, so the salary will be higher. However, we can see there is little difference in the salary
of Customer Service Representative, this is because most of them get hourly payment, and the lowest
hourly payment is much similar in most cities under the state

Spanish Conquest Of Aztecs Essay
Conquest of the Aztecs
The Aztecs were thriving prior to the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors in 1519. Their economy was
booming and the population of their capital city, Tenochtitlan, was rising steadily. With the population
of the Aztec empire peaking to nearly five million, how did one of the world s greatest empires
crumble by 1521, a mere two years? By a massively over powered Spanish conquest? The following
reasons attributed and caused the demise of what was one of the most dominant Mesoamerican
colonies.
When the Spanish arrived in Mesoamerica, their technology was far superior to that of the native
people. Their guns, cannons and even horses where alien to both the Aztecs and their neighbouring
tribes. This technology made the Aztecs respect, and even worship the Spanish conquistadors as gods
and idols. The Aztecs didn t know how to combat these new technologies, leaving them vulnerable.

Mortal Women In The Odyssey
The Odyssey a classic mythological poem composed by Homer. The Odyssey constructs a view of
men, women, the divine, and the mortal. The men portrayed in the Odyssey tend to be dominant,
heroic, and powerful. However, the women are given mixed character roles for example some are
portrayed as submissive and meek where as others are divine and determined. Through the Odyssey
we are exposed to many different views of women of both the divine and of the mortal. Yet, although
we have the divine women and the mortal we are still projected with the idea of the men being in
charge, and two hierarchy s one within the divine and the other within the mortal. Athena is a divine
goddess who is always disguised as a man. Penelope is the loyal wife of Odysseus. ... Show more

These women are the cleaners for Penelope. Throughout the Odyssey they are not mentioned much;
however, once Odysseus returns home then the maids are a key character in the Odyssey. In book 22:
Slaughter in the Hall the maids are put to death by being hung due to the fact that they were sluts and
they lay with the suitors, thus they were not loyal. Since the maids were disloyal to the household and
Odysseus sentenced them to death. The maids were given a vulnerable, unimpressive and shameful
death. They would be hung like doves or larks in springés triggered in a thicket, where the birds think
to rest a cruel nesting, So now in turn each women thrust her head into a noose and swung, yanked
high in the air, to perish there most piteously. Their feet danced for a little, but not long. (Book XXII
page 424 line 520) Through this quote we find a helpless, unherioc, and embarrassing death. The
maids to do not have a choice of life or death like the suitors do. As upsetting as this quote is, it still
gives a touch of femininity by using the claim dancing around . Homer did not have to state dancing
around he could have stating that they swayed from side to side, but rather he states that they danced.

Stereotypes Of Women In The Short Happy Life Of Francis...
There are countless times that women have been shown or portrayed in a negative light, whether it be
in books, movies, or anything media related. This can basically be summed up by the word stereotype
which has been used many times in the past years. Sadly, women have a set of stereotypes that many
people believe, that really portrays them in a negative way. Ernest Hemingway portrays a certain set
of stereotypes of women as well, through many of his stories including The Short Happy Life of
Francis Macomber and The Cat in the Rain . Hemingway portrays women as being unfit to face the
realities of the real world. He suggests this by showing women as overly emotional, self absorbed, and
unable to make competent decisions whether it be under pressure, or just in general.
Women in Hemingway s stories are portrayed to be heavily sensitive and emotional, and unable to
deal with the realities of life. They do not seem to understand how life is not necessarily always going
to be a picture perfect world. In The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber , Margot Macomber is
shown as a very emotional women in many circumstances, as if she is not able to deal with obstacles
that life will throw at her. One instance of this is when the two men are having a discussion about
killing the lion. At one point, she is making jokes and seeming perfectly fine, then the next thing she
starts to cry. Her husband, Francis, and Wilson even acknowledge this as well. They describe how they

8%. The following formula is used to calculate the risk weighted capital ratio:
Risk weighted capital ratio = Qualifying capital . Total risk weighted assets
The numerator of the ratio is qualifying capital, which includes Tier 1 capital such as paid up ordinary

Support Inclusion Education Cons
There are pros and cons to inclusion education. Those who support inclusion education point to the
benefits which result from putting students with disabilities into general classrooms with other
children who do not have a disability. To begin, integrating students with disabilities into the
classroom forces some teachers to leave their comfort zones and learn new techniques to become
better instructors. Another big benefit for students of all levels of ability is the increase in social areas
such as peer modeling. Children from both aspects of the discussion learn social norms from their
peers exhibiting acceptable academic and social behaviors. Relationship building as well as allowing
children to understand diversity are also great pros.

Relationship Between Student And Teacher In Samuel...
The essay Look at Your Fish by Samuel Scudder, portrayed how the relationship between student and
teacher can significantly be something great and help a student in their field of learning. The
personality of his teacher helped him to keep learning and be successful in his field, thus allowed me
to connect my experiences with past teachers and how similar the messages we gained through our
teachers are alike and made us progressive. Scudder s professor presented him with a difficult
assignment which required him to only examine a fish using only his eyes. He came back to his
professor many times, believing he found new discoveries when really his professor crushed his hopes
and repeatedly told him to look upon it again. After some time pondering over the fish, the influence

The Characteristics Of An Entrepreneur
Our world is going through an entrepreneurial revolution. A lot of research has been carried in an
attempt to define entrepreneurship while more and more people are being encouraged to become
entrepreneurs. The following study based on the stream of literature and researches on
entrepreneurship focuses on the concept of the entrepreneur and explore his background, his
characteristics and the factors that influences entrepreneurship.
The Entrepreneur: A definition
Gartner (1990), while reviewing the theories of entrepreneurship notes that it is a complex concept
with not even an agreed definition of its scope. Although attempts have been made as early as the
eighteenth century to identify the role of the entrepreneur, opinions are still as diverse as they were.
On one hand there are stereotypical characteristics of entrepreneurs like they are born leaders,
optimists, charismatic, extremely self confident and they inspire people. On the other hand, anyone
who works for himself or owns a business calls himself an entrepreneur. There have also been several
debates to differentiate entrepreneurs from small business owners and managers (Schumpeter 1934).

The Main Assumptions Of Family Social Exchange Theory
Family Social Exchange theory is the idea that social change and stability represent a process of cost
and benefit between the two parties or individuals: how much effort is put into the relationship versus
how much effort our companion is contributing. This theory proposes that in order to understand one
another and the choices made by them, we must understand what that individuals finds to be
motivating or rewarding.
Main Assumptions As there are many assumptions on social exchange, one of the assumptions to
know is that people are motivated by self interest. Meaning that we seek things or relationships that
are beneficial to ourselves. Like weighing the cost and rewards of a relationship or product that is
bought for a purpose. Thus, we, as human being finds more pleasurable to engage in a relationship or
interactions that will be more beneficial and rewarding, while avoiding the least cost or punishment.
When people choose to help others, they do so because of personal gain they expect to obtain from
doing so. An example could be that someone might feel that their job takes advantage of them and
therefore, that person decides to quit the job and look for another job if they think that they could get a
better job for the same about of effort. An example of this explanations is that my co worker, who
worked with me at Taco Bell decides to quit her job at Taco Bell because she felt that there was just
too much work and the customers are mean. Instead she found another job

Disaster Recovery For A Business
Disaster recovery for a business goes further than backing up some tapes or disks and storing them in
an off site storage facility. Disaster recovery also involves making the business whole again, from
retrieving the data backups after the disaster to restoring the data on the system, and opening the doors
for business again with minimal loss of time, money, and reputation. This paper discusses the
implications of a non existent or inadequate plan for disaster recovery, with a particular focus on
repercussions for small to medium size businesses (SMBs). Traditional disaster recovery plans are
discussed in terms of physical space required, costs of equipment needed as the business grows, and
the time for recovery needed when a disaster occurs. The paper reviews the option of using the Cloud
for disaster recovery. Specifically, the advantages of increased speed for data recovery, reduced
equipment expenses, increased security, and scalability are discussed, along with any challenges to be
faced when choosing the Cloud for disaster recovery. Disaster Recovery in the Cloud Why plan for
something that may never happen? Many companies ask this question when the topic of disaster
recovery is mentioned. However, in this age of security breaches from outside the company or errors
committed by untrained employees within the company, it is not really a question of if a disaster will
occur, but rather of when. In addition to human actions disrupting business, natural

  • 3. Reflection About Faith You may be going through something and aren t quite sure how you ll get through it but I am here to tell you there is a way, it s called faith. Hebrews 11:1 says Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Battles will come in this life and you may feel like you are going to fail or that your life is going to end. Speaking from experience there are things that I would not have dealt with well if it wasn t for having faith that God would take care of it all. Here in this essay, I am going to share some of my experiences and battles that have come my way. It was 2014, I was twelve years old and on my way to the James Cancer Center at OSU hospital not for me but my dad. He was going into surgery that morning for a brain tumor they had found. See this was the third time he had brain surgery but the first time I was in my mother s womb and the second time I was only five. This time was different for me though, I understood a lot more about what was going on. We walked into the hospital and man is OSU large, I have no idea how we found our way around but we made it to the waiting area where we had come to find my mom and many people from our church. You could just feel the love when you walked in there, God truly had blessed us greatly with a wonderful church family. While sitting and waiting you start to think too much and begin getting bad thoughts, what if they mess up the surgery? What if my dad doesn t make it or is no longer his ... Montana Army Aviation started in the early 1950 s with only a handful of pilots and mechanics that returned to Montana from active service that still wanted to serve their country from their home state with the Montana Army National Guard. Equipped with only a few OH 23 Raven helicopters and a small hangar, the Montana Army National Guard Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF) was born. The units assigned at that time only had limited capabilities but it soon grew into an outstanding organization full of professional Soldiers willing to give their time to make sure the state and country had operational aircraft ready for any mission assigned for national or state emergencies. Death of a Salesman vs. Fifth Business, Feminist Perspective Independent Study Unit ENG4U1 Ms. Martin Bianca Mastroianni Comparative Essay Fifth Business by Roberson Davies and Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller Throughout most of history woman have faced an imbalance within their social class opposed to the male gender. They have had fewer rights and much fewer career opportunities, the stereotype that a women s place is in the home is due to the most socially accepted and common career of wifehood and motherhood. Through the comparison of Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller and Fifth Business by Robertson Davies the contrasts between both works are explored from the feminist perspective. Dempster the ropes left substantial scares within Dunstan as he matured, thus forming issues with commitment and intimacy. Dunstan s mother because of her household tasks within the era of his childhood left her with the devotion mainly to her husband and later to Mrs. Dempster. In relation to Death of a Salesman Linda and Willy s son Happy developed similar characteristics because he was hidden in the shadow of his brother Biff, Willy s favored son. For the reasons of his rejection and neglect his trust, commitment, and intimacy were affected in regards to his relationships with woman. Linda protests to Willy her concern towards Happy s manner towards woman He s to rough with the girls, Willy. All the mothers are afraid of him! (Act 1) as well Happy justifies later in the text You know how honest I am, but it s like this girl, see. I hate myself for it. Because I don t want the girl, and, still, I take it and I love it! (Act 1). These excerpts from the script highlight Happy s desperation for attention as he uses woman as sexual objects. Because Linda s attention was fixated among the male dominate within the household, that of which being Willy, she failed to give Happy an equal amount of care such as the type that Willy expresses for Biff. Linda in this scenario is depicted as weak because she fails to argue or change Willy s priorities of consideration between his sons and instead of taking the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. The Male Gaze Essay In this essay, I will develop a critical analysis of contemporary mainstream film and I will argue that attitudes and behaviour within this industry are adapting, albeit slowly, to respond to developing attitudes within society. To assert this theory, I will focus specifically upon the identity of the gaze and discuss how this has been applied, previously and currently, in action and science fiction films; expanding upon Laura Mulvey s argument in Visual Pleasure and Narrative Cinema (1975), regarding voyeurism and the application of the male gaze . The gaze is a term that describes how we engage with visual media. Mulvey posits that there are three types of cinematic gaze to be considered in mainstream film; that of the characters, that of the camera and that of the audience. She explores the idea that the gaze is always male; a theory ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... During a fight scene, Deadpool attempts to deconstruct his own genre and addresses gender stereotypes when he makes satirical reference to feminism, asking his female rival if it is sexist to hit her or if it is more sexist not to hit her. This question is quickly and efficiently answered when Angel Dust responds with violence, overpowering Deadpool and hitting him with such force that it drives him out of the frame. Feminist discussion of the male gaze identifies the effect that it has upon how women perceive themselves and allow themselves to be perceived by men and other women. In this film, the female gaze is used to achieve that same affect but with a much more positive outcome. Neale states that men and women do not assume roles in gendered isolation, but often play the role they believe women and men would like them to play and I think that this statement becomes accurate when you analyse the role of women in this particular ... • 8. Symbolism In The Divine Comedy Every arrangement of words seems to be an understatement when mentioning the success and influence of Dante s epic poem The Divine Comedy. An allegory is a story, poem, or picture that can be interpreted to reveal a hidden meaning, typically a moral or political one (Oxford Dictionary). The Divine Comedy has provided inspiration for a large body of Western Art. Originally published in the 14th century, his medieval poem written in the vernacular language of the people has been the material for countless numbers of new editions containing illustrations. Each artist finds their own clever way to express the messages in The Divine Comedy. The amount of art dedicated to this epic poem is just as impressive as the poem itself. Inferno appears to be the most popular of the three books, especially in the visual arts. Dante s is a visual imagination (T.S. Elliot). Extremely detailed, the book describes Hell in the most powerful visual terms. In the Inferno, Dante and the poet Virgil go to Hell where they witness the many punishments for those who disobeyed God during their lives. Each layer of Hell, described in thirty three cantos and one introductory canto, is unique and fitting for the soul and the specific sin that was committed. (Web Gallery of Art, 2017) The most accurate representation of the structure of Dante s Hell, Sandro Botticelli is responsible for The Map of Hell, which depicts the nine circles of Hell. Described as a cave, the Map of Hell on paper is in the shape of a funnel with layers. Each layer is a level of Hell described by Dante. The levels get smaller and smaller until, at the bottom of the cave or funnel one sees a satanic like beast at the bottom or core. Starting with Limbo and ending with Treachery, each layer is drawn out in magnifying detail. Sandro Botticelli was an Italian painter of the early Renaissance, the Florentine was alive from around 1445 to 1510 (Florence Inferno, 2017). The man responsible for The Birth of Venus, a masterpiece that is referred to in both historical context and in pop culture, he was a very decadent and detailed artist. His illustrations for The Divine Comedy were extremely devoted to the text and very precise. They seem to reflect the recognizable ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Narrative Of Olaudah Equiano The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano, is a personal autobiography of himself, Olaudah Equiano, or Gustavus Vassa, documenting the hardships of slavery throughout his lifetime. Equiano writes one of the best primary sources from a slave s perspective and master s perspective during slavery. Equiano does not hold back on the horrors of what traveling as a slave from West Indies to North America was really like. Olaudah Equiano shares his heart wrenching journey through the brutality of slavery experienced at such young age to him mastering economics and being able to free himself from slavery. Just when the reader had thought it couldn t get worse for the troubled boy, he aches, we were soon deprived of even the small comfort of weeping together. Even after he shares with us that he has been thrown in a sack and basically deprived of his basic human rights, this was a new rock bottom for Equiano. No love, no shelter, no family. It s the horrible details Equiano writes about that gives the reader mental images of him being torn from his family and village and sold into slavery with his sister in North America and West Indies. It isn t until later on where Equiano and his sister reconnect. Equiano weeps of deep emotion as he and his sister reunite, and persuades the reader how terrible the masters were for tearing them apart. When these people knew we were brother and sister they indulged us together; and the man, to whom I supposed we belonged, lay with us, he in the middle, while she and I held one another by the hands across his breast all night; and thus for a while we forgot our misfortunes in the joy of being together: but even this small comfort was soon to have an end; for scarcely had the fatal morning appeared, when she was again torn from me for ever! The context of this piece and descriptive, heart wrenching words Equiano uses appeals to the pathos side of his story. This emotional plea helps the reader grasp what it must have felt like to be reunited and torn, yet again from a beloved. It is the same ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

When I arrived, I was exhausted and disheveled, and worst of all the game had already begun. I turned the microphone on and caught my breath. The silence that filled the stands was overtaken by the laughter that filled the crowd as my co announcer and I cracked corny jokes and encouraged everyone to cheer for the powder puff football game. As my voice hung over our entire high school community, I understood why I am comfortable announcing this spirit event before homecoming, performing backflips on the field and leading karaoke during the football games. I am proud to create an atmosphere of fun that unifies our community. With kids from 47 zip codes attending Summit Country Day, it can be difficult to realize commonalities, so I value my role in bringing everyone together. 2. • 14. Powerade Case Study Powerade is a sports energy drink manufactured by Coca Cola. It has been around since 1988 and was intended to compete with Gatorade in the sports drink industry. After being introduced, it successfully became the official sports drink for the Olympics of that year. Their product line consists of only beverages and lacks complementary goods like protein bars or energizing snacks. Their two specific products is the Powerade ION4 and Powerade ZERO. ZERO is a healthy alternative for consumers in which the product has zero calories in the beverage. It is not typically recommended for intense heavy training. Instead they have the ION4 as a substitute for those who train hard. Despite the differences, both products include the electrolytes needed to replace the ones lost to respiration and sweating during workouts. In terms of this product s current lifecycle, many arguments could definitely be made for its status. Since there is only two major giants or manufacturers in the sports drink industry, I would consider Powerade to be in a late maturity stage of their product life cycle. It is obviously behind Gatorade in terms of sales. I would argue late maturity because of the product s longevity on the market. They have lowered their costs over the years and in return this means lowered profits, but this strategy allows them to compete. Gatorade is the premium on the market and their sales are still up. According to Business Insider, I reviewed graphs of the market share of both ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 15. The Pros And Cons Of The Moon Landing For the last forty years people have been arguing whether if the Moon landings were real. The Moon landings occurred during the late 1960 s and into the early 1970 s. During this time the United States and the Soviet Union were in a competition known as the Space Race. The main objective during the Space Race was for one country to put a man on the Moon. The competition was getting intense, and both countries began expanding their space programs. During the Space Race and the Apollo missions NASA created over 400,000 jobs making it impossible for all of the workers to keep the events a secret if it were fake (Riley). The technology between the two countries was also top of the line at that time. The Soviet Union could track down the United States every move, so therefore if the moon landings were fake; the Soviet Union would clearly know (Allen). With the technological advancements and the jobs created throughout the process of the Apollo missions, it s obvious that NASA did not fake the Moon landings. Conspiracy theorists believe that the evidence of the flag waving in space, the lighting from the pictures, and the strange shadows from the pictures create it obvious that the Moon landings were all a hoax. Conspiracy theorists claim these areas for the Moon landing being fake, and in the end they believe that the moon landings were done in a T.V. studio to give the affect that the Moon landings were in fact real. His purpose had called tens of thousands of men to arms against Great Britain. The colonies were forced to quarter troops and had unreasonable taxes placed upon them. Pain s reasoning was justified because of how Britain was controlling the colonies. To begin, Paine wrote The Crisis in a very organized fashion by using facts. He calls the Summer Soldier lazy and that they only act in their own interest. He declares the fault of the war to be on the colonies for not making proper use of last winter and they couldn t while being an independent state but they want to fix their mistake. Paine used some good examples, first he used Joan of Arc who was able to raise and lead an army of her countrymen to fight. He used this example to try and get the people to fight. Paine also used an example of a man who stood at a tavern and said Well! Give me peace in my day . The man wanted his kid to go and fight so he could be at peace. Public Eye on Sexual Offenders Essay example Public Eye on Sexual Offenders In preparing for this essay it has been identified that sexual offenders are not a homogenous group of individuals and that this is an umbrella term used to describe a range of behaviours ranging from acts of voyeurism and exhibitionism, to more serious acts of pedophilia and rape. For the purpose of this essay I have chosen to focus on the more serious forms of sex offending which in my opinion, are the cause of much of the current attention. In order to understand why sexual offenders attract so much attention I will begin by considering today s society and the emergence of post modernist values and the preoccupation with risk. It was during the period of modernity which stems back to the 18th century, that notions of tradition, feudalism and superstition began to be replaced by reasoning, science and exploration. There was a move away from harsh penal conditions and a move towards reforming individuals. It was during this period of modernity that there existed societal consensus and a general air of optimism which generated high levels of trust and respect for people in authority. During the mid 1980s post modernism emerged as an area of academic study, and it is this which currently describes today s developed world. Attempts have been made to chart the shift from modernism to post modernism, however this is largely attributed to the work of Ulrich Beck and what he describes as the emergence of a risk society (Beck 1986). Beck argued that the public are constantly being confronted with socially created risks which endanger survival (Beck 1986, p32). He saw one of these being globalisation, whereby communication is now effortless, thus increasing the risk of messages being distorted and information saturated which hence has the potential to perturb (Beck, 1986). This study predicted that there would be a higher accuracy for identifying the first target, T1 and lower accuracy for the second target, T2 depending on the lag, given that T1 was accurately reported. 193 students participated in the experiment. This experiment was a part of the course requirement. There was a stream of 19 letters, each lasting for 100 ms. The target letters, T1 and/or T2, to be identified were either a J or a K or both from the stream of 19 letters presented. In this study, a total of 60 trials were conducted for each participant. For T1, there were 30 J and 30 K targets. T2 comprised of 24 J, 24 K and 12 null targets. The participants were asked to decide whether they saw the letters J, K, both or neither following the RSVP stream. They were asked to do so by using a button click mechanism. At the end of all the trials, the participants were presented with a summary of their performance report. It was observed that the percentage of T1 reported does not vary significantly as a function of lag. Also, the percentage of T2 reported varied as a function of lag. At greater lag positions, it was seen that the percentage of T2 reported goes above that of T1. It is widely used, but not always well understood. This essay proposal uses this term to mean balancing the needs of current society with the preservation of current resources to improve cultural vitality, social equality, environmental responsibility and economic vitality (Letourneau, 2016). Each of these pillars contains several aspects, such as innovation and ecological balance, which contribute to the overall success of a community. Heritage must be protected in a holistic and multidisciplinary way, which engages the community and transfers to policy, practice and implementation. Research Question: How has the implementation gap between theory and practice of heritage planning contribute to the goal of sustainability? Overview of Research Design: The research will follow the structure of four organisational sections: a review of relevant literature, an overview of applicable government policies, a case study and an analysis of theoretical and historical approaches. Theory and historical approaches will be explored through a review of relevant literature to identify how heritage planning has contributed to sustainability goals. • 31. Stereotypes Of Women In The Short Happy Life Of Francis... There are countless times that women have been shown or portrayed in a negative light, whether it be in books, movies, or anything media related. This can basically be summed up by the word stereotype which has been used many times in the past years. Sadly, women have a set of stereotypes that many people believe, that really portrays them in a negative way. Ernest Hemingway portrays a certain set of stereotypes of women as well, through many of his stories including The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber and The Cat in the Rain . Hemingway portrays women as being unfit to face the realities of the real world. He suggests this by showing women as overly emotional, self absorbed, and unable to make competent decisions whether it be under pressure, or just in general. Women in Hemingway s stories are portrayed to be heavily sensitive and emotional, and unable to deal with the realities of life. They do not seem to understand how life is not necessarily always going to be a picture perfect world. In The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber , Margot Macomber is shown as a very emotional women in many circumstances, as if she is not able to deal with obstacles that life will throw at her. One instance of this is when the two men are having a discussion about killing the lion. At one point, she is making jokes and seeming perfectly fine, then the next thing she starts to cry. • 38. Katelyn Vanvoorst Analysis Katelyn VanVoorst is a fairy tale loving, musically talented, fear seeking human being currently residing in Sioux Falls, SD. Of course, this is not where she wants to live forever. She is one of those girls with big dreams to live in big cities, New York City, and LA. Very big citites with incredibly large population (and pollution levels. But hey, to each her own). She prefers hot weather, so LA would be key. This makes sense as she loves summer for it s hot weather and endless oppertunities. Other things that could bring her endless oppertunities; Doctoring. Specifically the OB/GYN section of hospitals. She finds that being a baby doctor brings joy to people, and is the happiest part of the hospital. Also she thinks it is the happiest ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. Relationship Between Student And Teacher In Samuel... The essay Look at Your Fish by Samuel Scudder, portrayed how the relationship between student and teacher can significantly be something great and help a student in their field of learning. The personality of his teacher helped him to keep learning and be successful in his field, thus allowed me to connect my experiences with past teachers and how similar the messages we gained through our teachers are alike and made us progressive. Scudder s professor presented him with a difficult assignment which required him to only examine a fish using only his eyes. He came back to his professor many times, believing he found new discoveries when really his professor crushed his hopes and repeatedly told him to look upon it again. After some time pondering over the fish, the influence has extended to the details of every subsequent study (Scudder 497). The lesson and teacher affected Scudder s study so much that the lesson he learned leaked into everything else he studied in his field. The lesson of always looking for more details than you think exist and reading more of what s in between the lines of music, or a fish. I relatively saw this happening for me with my first music teacher, when I was starting music, he kept me on one specific practice book, as much as I didn t like it and could play through it. Each time I perform any difficult etude of the book he pointed out details I never played correctly or understood. This led me to learn music passionately and bring out as ... • 40. The Characteristics Of An Entrepreneur Our world is going through an entrepreneurial revolution. A lot of research has been carried in an attempt to define entrepreneurship while more and more people are being encouraged to become entrepreneurs. The following study based on the stream of literature and researches on entrepreneurship focuses on the concept of the entrepreneur and explore his background, his characteristics and the factors that influences entrepreneurship. The Entrepreneur: A definition Gartner (1990), while reviewing the theories of entrepreneurship notes that it is a complex concept with not even an agreed definition of its scope. Although attempts have been made as early as the eighteenth century to identify the role of the entrepreneur, opinions are still as diverse as they were. On one hand there are stereotypical characteristics of entrepreneurs like they are born leaders, optimists, charismatic, extremely self confident and they inspire people. On the other hand, anyone who works for himself or owns a business calls himself an entrepreneur. There have also been several debates to differentiate entrepreneurs from small business owners and managers (Schumpeter 1934). The word means different things to different people. The word entrepreneur appeared in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 42. The Main Assumptions Of Family Social Exchange Theory Family Social Exchange theory is the idea that social change and stability represent a process of cost and benefit between the two parties or individuals: how much effort is put into the relationship versus how much effort our companion is contributing. This theory proposes that in order to understand one another and the choices made by them, we must understand what that individuals finds to be motivating or rewarding. Main Assumptions As there are many assumptions on social exchange, one of the assumptions to know is that people are motivated by self interest. Meaning that we seek things or relationships that are beneficial to ourselves. Like weighing the cost and rewards of a relationship or product that is bought for a purpose. Thus, we, as human being finds more pleasurable to engage in a relationship or interactions that will be more beneficial and rewarding, while avoiding the least cost or punishment. When people choose to help others, they do so because of personal gain they expect to obtain from doing so. An example could be that someone might feel that their job takes advantage of them and therefore, that person decides to quit the job and look for another job if they think that they could get a better job for the same about of effort. An example of this explanations is that my co worker, who worked with me at Taco Bell decides to quit her job at Taco Bell because she felt that there was just too much work and the customers are mean. • 43. Disaster Recovery For A Business Disaster recovery for a business goes further than backing up some tapes or disks and storing them in an off site storage facility. Disaster recovery also involves making the business whole again, from retrieving the data backups after the disaster to restoring the data on the system, and opening the doors for business again with minimal loss of time, money, and reputation. This paper discusses the implications of a non existent or inadequate plan for disaster recovery, with a particular focus on repercussions for small to medium size businesses (SMBs). Traditional disaster recovery plans are discussed in terms of physical space required, costs of equipment needed as the business grows, and the time for recovery needed when a disaster occurs. The paper reviews the option of using the Cloud for disaster recovery. Specifically, the advantages of increased speed for data recovery, reduced equipment expenses, increased security, and scalability are discussed, along with any challenges to be faced when choosing the Cloud for disaster recovery. Disaster Recovery in the Cloud Why plan for something that may never happen? Many companies ask this question when the topic of disaster recovery is mentioned. However, in this age of security breaches from outside the company or errors committed by untrained employees within the company, it is not really a question of if a disaster will occur, but rather of when. In addition to human actions disrupting business, natural ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
