objectively.
All the students of the group of
institutions come together
under the preview of the
agency
INTERNAL EVALUATION
Determines the quality of
all aspects of education of
individual at school level.
Provides a base for
remedial teaching to the
identified students.
Advantages of external evaluation
• evaluators can look at the project with a free style
• more likely to be impartial
• creates trust in the system by ensuring the
standards are maintained
• increased commitment of participants for the
success of program
Disadvantages of external evaluation
• External evaluators do not always understand
implementation issues and may create evaluation
plans that are not realistic.
• expensive
• evaluators do not necessarily have
background knowledge
• it may difficult to ascertain the
competence of the external evaluator
Advantages of internal evaluation
• Examination based on mere rote memory of the
student can be avoided.
• minimize the over anxiety and nervousness
• motivation to active participation in both
curricular and co curricular activities
• help in identifying the strength and
weakness of the student and to impart remedial
instructions.
Disadvantages of internal evaluation
• cannot replace external examinations
• requires a lot of time to undertake the activities
• increased work load of evaluators
• may be biased

INTERNAL EVALUATION Evaluation carried out by someone from the actual project team.The evaluation is the continuous appraisal of students progress.

Provides a base for remedial teaching to the identified students.

Advantages of internal evaluation • Examination based on mere rote memory of the student can be avoided. • minimize the over anxiety and nervousness • motivation to active participation in both curricular and co curricular activities • help in identifying the strength and weakness of the student and to impart remedial instructions.
