Alfie Bradbury
 For the main product I decided to create a music video for
the song One Day by an artist called Asaf Avidan, but
rather than the original I chose to do the Wankelmut
Remix due to it being of a faster pace and a song that I
enjoy listening to individually. The message behind the
song as well as my music video is based around two
separate themes, the first and most obvious of which
being a ‘day in the life’ documentary style video and the
latter being about looking into the future and ‘one day’
reaching a specific goal. The goal that I have chosen to
represent in my video is quite personal to me as the
Cathedral at the end of the video is the location that I will
be graduating from university when I am older so I’ve gone
with the idea that ‘one day’ I’ll be there personally.
 For my digipak I have chosen to do a 6-panel digipak, with
one of said panels being where the disk would go if it was
created. For each of the different panels of my digipak I
have decided to background each of them with a different
screenshot from the music video which I have created for
the song.
 For the title of the album/ digipak I have decided to take
the name of the song I chose to do my video on and add
E.P. to the end (which stands for Extended Play) in order to
allow myself to have one of the panels as a track list very
similar to real media digipaks have rather than having the
digipak as a single.
 In order to keep the focus of the digipak on my chosen
song I have used one of the panels to portray the lyrics of
the song, but only two of the verses as the lyrics are
repeated largely throughout the song itself.
 For the theme of this task I have decided to focus on
a tour which different artists do in order to advertise
their recently released albums. On my poster I have
given an overall title which includes the names of
both the artists who converged to create the song I
chose along with large emphasis on the actual title of
my chosen song by saying ‘Debuting the smash hit;
One day / Reckoning Song’. To show that it is a
poster for a tour I have chosen to include fake tour
dates and social media emblems to tell the viewer
that in order to find out more information they can
go to those websites.
 In order to gain attention I have decided to take up a
large portion of the poster with a screenshot which I
took from my music video of the cathedral in Lincoln.
 I have chosen to relate my 2 ancillary tasks (The
poster and Digipak) with the main music video by the
use of screen shots from the video as the
backgrounds for each of the digipak panels and for
the main picture on my poster. The reason why I
chose to do this was to make sure that the three
tasks were easily relatable and that an audience
would be able to tell that they are related before they
even read what is written on each task.
 One of the most obvious and effective ways in which I
have made the three tasks relate is by emphasising
largely on the artists and the title of the song in my
main products in both of my ancillary tasks.
 For the digipak and poster I have decided to
advertise the song as part of an Extended Play or
‘E.P.’ in order to help turn the song I have chosen
into an actual album featuring other songs
created by the artist Asaf Avidan. With poster, I
have decided to create a ‘tour’ poster which
advertises a tour for the newly released album
‘One Day / Reckoning Song E.P.’ which is the title
of both the song I chose for my music video and
the digipak which I created for the song.
 Another aspect in which I have related the poster
and digipak together is through the use of social
media emblems (Twitter, Sound cloud &
Facebook) which imply that you can find out
more information about the artist and the song
by going to these websites.

A2 Media Evaluation (Q2)

  • 3.  For the main product I decided to create a music video for the song One Day by an artist called Asaf Avidan, but rather than the original I chose to do the Wankelmut Remix due to it being of a faster pace and a song that I enjoy listening to individually. The message behind the song as well as my music video is based around two separate themes, the first and most obvious of which being a ‘day in the life’ documentary style video and the latter being about looking into the future and ‘one day’ reaching a specific goal. The goal that I have chosen to represent in my video is quite personal to me as the Cathedral at the end of the video is the location that I will be graduating from university when I am older so I’ve gone with the idea that ‘one day’ I’ll be there personally.
  • 4.  For my digipak I have chosen to do a 6-panel digipak, with one of said panels being where the disk would go if it was created. For each of the different panels of my digipak I have decided to background each of them with a different screenshot from the music video which I have created for the song.  For the title of the album/ digipak I have decided to take the name of the song I chose to do my video on and add E.P. to the end (which stands for Extended Play) in order to allow myself to have one of the panels as a track list very similar to real media digipaks have rather than having the digipak as a single.  In order to keep the focus of the digipak on my chosen song I have used one of the panels to portray the lyrics of the song, but only two of the verses as the lyrics are repeated largely throughout the song itself.
  • 5.  For the theme of this task I have decided to focus on a tour which different artists do in order to advertise their recently released albums. On my poster I have given an overall title which includes the names of both the artists who converged to create the song I chose along with large emphasis on the actual title of my chosen song by saying ‘Debuting the smash hit; One day / Reckoning Song’. To show that it is a poster for a tour I have chosen to include fake tour dates and social media emblems to tell the viewer that in order to find out more information they can go to those websites.  In order to gain attention I have decided to take up a large portion of the poster with a screenshot which I took from my music video of the cathedral in Lincoln.
  • 6.  I have chosen to relate my 2 ancillary tasks (The poster and Digipak) with the main music video by the use of screen shots from the video as the backgrounds for each of the digipak panels and for the main picture on my poster. The reason why I chose to do this was to make sure that the three tasks were easily relatable and that an audience would be able to tell that they are related before they even read what is written on each task.  One of the most obvious and effective ways in which I have made the three tasks relate is by emphasising largely on the artists and the title of the song in my main products in both of my ancillary tasks.
  • 7.  For the digipak and poster I have decided to advertise the song as part of an Extended Play or ‘E.P.’ in order to help turn the song I have chosen into an actual album featuring other songs created by the artist Asaf Avidan. With poster, I have decided to create a ‘tour’ poster which advertises a tour for the newly released album ‘One Day / Reckoning Song E.P.’ which is the title of both the song I chose for my music video and the digipak which I created for the song.  Another aspect in which I have related the poster and digipak together is through the use of social media emblems (Twitter, Sound cloud & Facebook) which imply that you can find out more information about the artist and the song by going to these websites.
