ABSTRACT- Three decades data (1984 – 2015) was used to study the effect of surface water temperature, pH, dissolved
oxygen, nitrate, phosphate and silicate on chlorophyll a concentration in three water bodies meant for fish culture (locally
known as Bheries) in East Kolkata Wetlands. The data revealed significant spatio-temporal variations (p < 0.01). The
increasing trend of temperature, nitrate and phosphate reflects the effect of intense urbanization at local level. The
pronounced variation of dissolved oxygen and chlorophyll a (decreasing trend) may be attributed to increased load of
sewage in the selected water bodies, which has posed an adverse impact on the phytoplankton standing stock as revealed
through decreasing chlorophyll a trend.

This document summarizes a study that analyzed physicochemical parameters of sewage water used for irrigation in Bauchi, Nigeria. Samples were collected from 6 sites along a drainage channel and tested for temperature, pH, electrical conductivity, hardness, alkalinity, nitrate-nitrogen and phosphate-phosphorus. The results from the study sites were generally within standards for irrigation water but nitrate-nitrogen and electrical conductivity exceeded limits at some sites, indicating higher pollution levels compared to the control site. The study concluded that sewage water supplies more nitrogen than required for crops and periodic monitoring is needed to prevent risks to soils and vegetables from irrigation with sewage water.
This document summarizes a study on the relationship between chlorophyll a concentration and various hydrological parameters like temperature, salinity, pH, transparency, nutrients etc. in and around the Indian Sundarbans. Significant positive correlations were found between chlorophyll a and salinity, pH and transparency, indicating that higher salinity, slightly alkaline conditions and water transparency favor phytoplankton growth. Negative correlations with nutrients like nitrate and phosphate suggest phytoplankton uptake of these nutrients. An insignificant relationship with silicate may be due to lower diatom abundance compared to flagellates in the study area. The findings confirm phytoplankton dependence on various environmental factors.

CHARACTERIZATION OF LEACHATE FROM MUNCIPAL LANDFILL AND ITS EFFECT ON SURROUN...Dr. Naveen BP
Percolating water passing through waste becomes contaminated and will have dissolved soluble organic and inorganic compounds as well as suspended particles. Also the pore fluid of the waste is often released and mixes with this water. The entire contaminated fluid is called leachate. There are many factors that affect leachate production like annual precipitation, runoff, infiltration, evaporation, transpiration, and freezing, mean ambient temperature, waste composition, waste density, initial moisture content, and depth of the waste fill. The production of leachate reduces when a landfill is closed. The decomposition of waste in presence of water can be separated into two different phases of degradation viz., initial aerobic and subsequent anaerobic. Generally, the leachate undergoes natural chemical changes over time that reduces its toxicity. Some of the soluble contaminants enrich the water table, or the saturated zone. Some of remaining molecules naturally adsorbed to the clay liner particles. The paper discusses the characteristics of leachate generated from municipal solid waste landfill and its effect on surrounding water bodies near Mavallipura landfill area in Bangalore. Two samples of water from the nearby pond and well were collected from downstream of Mavallipura landfill site. Physico-chemical characterization of leachate has shown that the leachate contains high concentrations of organic and inorganic constituents beyond the permissible limits. While the heavy metals concentration was in traces as the waste is dumped in the landfill is mainly domestic in nature. The pH of the leachate is marginally alkaline as the pH is 7.4. The results also showed that the highest metal concentration that exists in the leachate was Iron which is about of 11.16 ppm. BOD5 and COD of the leachate are 1500 mg/l and 10400 mg/l, respectively. The leachate characteristics indicate favorable growth of algae in natural water contaminated with leachate with the alkaline condition and with the presence of magnesium as nutrient, which has been confirmed in the nearby surface pond. Knowledge of leachate quality will be useful in planning and providing remedial measures to protect surface and ground water quality in the area.
Identification of possible migration of contaminants in groundwater at a land...Alexander Decker
This document summarizes a study on identifying possible groundwater contamination at a landfill site in Barka, Oman. Borehole drilling, soil sampling, and groundwater sampling and analysis were conducted. Results showed elevated levels of contaminants like TDS, sodium, calcium, magnesium, chloride, and coliform bacteria in groundwater below the landfill compared to background levels, indicating contamination from leachate and liquid waste disposal. A pump test also found decreasing contaminant concentrations with pumping time, suggesting contaminant migration from the landfill area.
The document analyzes samples taken over one year from the raw wastewater and effluent of waste stabilization ponds in Elzaraby, Egypt that treat municipal wastewater. The results show that wastewater temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and biochemical oxygen demand generally increased along the ponds series and were highest in summer due to higher temperatures and photosynthesis rates. Total suspended solids and turbidity decreased along the ponds, with higher overall removal efficiencies in summer. The average annual removal efficiency for total suspended solids was 70% and for biochemical oxygen demand was between 73-88% depending on the season.
The challenges of river water quality management are so enormous, due to the unpredictive modes of contamination. Monitoring different sources of pollutant load contribution to the river basin is also quite tasking, resulting to laborious and expensive process which sometimes lead to analytical errors. This study deals with the assessment of the physico– chemicaland bacteriological parameters of water samples from River Amba during the period of August 2017 to January 2018 and developing regression models. Water quality Parameters such as Temperature, Turbidity (NTU), Suspended solids (mg/l), Colour, Total solids, Total dissolved solids, Electrical conductivity (μs/cm), pH, Hardness, Chemical Oxygen Demand, Dissolved Oxygen (DO), and Total Coliform were obtained and compared with water quality standards. The results of the water quality analysis of the study in comparison with drinking water quality standard issued byWorld Health Organization(WHO) and National Agency for Food and Drug Administration Control (NAFDAC) revealed that most of the water quality parameters were not adequate to pronounce the water potable. Hence adequate water treatment processes should be employed to make the water fit for consumption and other domestic uses. Statistical analysis was done, in which the systematic correlation and regressionanalysis showed a significant linear relationship between different pairs of water quality parameters. The highest correlation coefficient between different pairs of parameters obtained is (r = 0.999), resulting from the correlation between TS and SS. Multiple regression analysis was also carried out and regression equations were developed. It was observed that the parameters studied had a positive correlation with each other.

INFLUENCE OF LEACHATE MIGRATION ON GROUND WATER QUALITY Dr. Naveen BP
In this paper, the concept of leachate pollution index, a tool for quantifying the leachate pollution potential and water quality index for surrounding water bodies of Mavallipura landfill site in Bangalore has been applied. It has been found that the leachate generated from the Mavallipura landfill site has high contamination potential to the surrounding water bodies. The results revealed that quality of ground water resources in Mavallipura landfill is deteriorating largely, as a result of the poor practice of solid waste management. Hence, an effective remedial plan needs to be prepared for the sustainable water quality maintenance of the area.
This study analyzed water quality at 5 sites that drain the University of Houston-Clear Lake campus. Water samples were tested for various physical and chemical parameters including conductivity, nitrogen levels, dissolved oxygen, pH, and total dissolved solids. Statistically significant differences were found for conductivity, nitrite, nitrate, dissolved oxygen, pH and TDS between the sites. Ammonia levels exceeded state standards at all sites. High rainfall prior to sampling likely affected the results. Overall, the water quality meets standards for wildlife except for ammonia levels, though more testing is needed after rain events.
This document summarizes a study that assessed groundwater quality in Nellikkuzhy Panchayat, Kerala, India. 11 physicochemical parameters were used to calculate a Water Quality Index (WQI) for groundwater samples collected during the monsoon and summer seasons. The WQI ranged from 50.47-63.18 during monsoon and 33.74-64.69 during summer, indicating the water quality was good at all locations according to the classification system. While some parameters like pH and electrical conductivity exceeded guidelines at some locations, overall the groundwater was determined to be suitable for drinking and irrigation based on WQI.

The document analyzes water quality data from the Euphrates River (Shatt Al-Hillah) in Iraq collected over 2010-2011.
It assessed water quality for both civilian (drinking water) and agricultural (irrigation water) uses. Water quality parameters like pH, turbidity, salts and minerals were measured monthly at 4 stations and compared to Iraqi, WHO and EPA standards.
For drinking water, most parameters met Iraqi and WHO standards except for sulfates and total dissolved solids (TDS) which exceeded limits. For irrigation water, salinity levels showed problems for some classifications while sodium and chloride hazards were mild-moderate. The study aims to evaluate Euphrates water suitability for different uses
This document summarizes a study on the effect of increasing sewage waste on microbe populations in the River Yamuna in India. Water quality parameters like BOD, ammonia, chlorides and sulphates indicated high levels of organic pollution, especially at sites downstream from urban and industrial areas. Populations of coliform bacteria and algae like Ulothrix, which thrive in polluted conditions, were highest where pollution loads were also highest. In contrast, populations of microbes like Paramecium, Difflugia and Cyclops declined significantly with increasing pollution, especially during summer months when pollution concentrations were highest due to lower water levels. The results suggest heavy pollution is negatively impacting the river's ecological balance.
This document discusses various methods for sampling water. It begins by explaining that sampling must account for environmental heterogeneity and can involve static or dynamic systems. It then outlines five main sampling methods: systematic, random, judgmental, stratified, and haphazard. For each method, it provides an example of how it would be implemented for water sampling. It also discusses types of samples, equipment for surface and groundwater sampling, and considerations for continuous monitoring. The key points are that sampling must address spatial and temporal variability and that different methods have advantages for different sampling needs and environments.

A white spirit spill at a factory site located in a residential area of south eastern Australia led to contamination of shallow groundwater that fed into a nearby river. The contaminated groundwater contained toluene, ethyl benzene, and xylene and n-alkanes in the C6-C36 fraction range. A funnel and gate permeable reactive barrier was designed and built, based on preliminary pilot scale tests using peat as the medium for the gate and the work conducted is presented as a case study. The technical effectiveness of the funnel and gate, over the 10 month operating period in which data was collected, indicates that peat represents an effective material for use in the gate component of funnel and gate remedial systems. The application of the funnel and gate technology represented a substantial saving to the client and was effective in preventing ongoing pollution of the nearby river. The construction of the funnel and gate system also incurred the minimum disturbance to the public access areas between the facility and the river.
Unsteady state series CSTR modeling of removal of ammonia nitrogen from domes...IJECEIAES
This document describes modeling the removal of ammonia nitrogen from domestic wastewater treated in an unsaturated vertical flow constructed wetland (VFCW) using an unsteady state series continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) model. The model is based on a mass balance for ammonium and nitrate/nitrite concentrations using one to three CSTRs. The model parameters are estimated to minimize errors between model outputs and measured inlet and outlet concentrations. Various model configurations are evaluated based on the coefficient of determination, including the number of CSTRs, whether reactions occur in multiple CSTRs, using equal or different reaction rates, and discretizing reaction rates.
This document discusses corrosion in drinking water distribution systems and methods for corrosion control. It describes how corrosion occurs via electrochemical reactions between pipe material and water constituents. Common corrosion control strategies include pH adjustment and adding compounds like carbonates and phosphates to form a protective scale layer. Effective corrosion control requires maintaining water quality during distribution and high organic removal during treatment. The objective of this project is to study calcium carbonate behavior in distribution systems and how to alter water parameters to form a protective calcium carbonate film on pipes through computer modeling and simulation.
This document summarizes a study on improving wastewater quality from septic tank systems using a simple secondary treatment method. The study involved building models of a septic tank and aeration tank to test. Samples were taken before and after each tank to analyze constituents. Results showed that adding an aeration tank improved wastewater quality levels by 25-30% for biological properties and 20-23% for physical properties compared to only using a septic tank. Specifically, adding the simple aeration tank enhanced wastewater treatment in an affordable way.
Study on Quality of Soil: Part-II. Simultaneous Determination of Cu, Pb, Cd, ...BRNSS Publication Hub
The analytical procedure has been developed for simultaneous determination of the toxic trace metals Cu, Pb, Cd, and Znin soil samples from Bhusawal, employing electrochemical techniques, namely square wave voltammetry, differential pulse polarographic, and anodic stripping voltammetry (DP-ASV) techniques at hanging mercury drop electrode. The soil samples were collected from Bhusawal area, at five points, in March 2016. The metals were made free from any interference, and the applicability of the method has been proved by the analysis of soil samples from polluted and non-polluted area. Accuracy is verified by employing atomic absorption spectrometry. Simultaneous determination by the polarographic and voltammetric method for studied four metals and calculation of concentration level of each metal in the collected samples from the selected area was studied. The results and conclusions were discussed.

This thesis investigates the relationship between ultrasonic pulse velocity and compressive strength of concrete. An experimental program was conducted that involved testing 626 concrete cube and prism samples. The samples were tested to measure ultrasonic pulse velocity and compressive strength under different curing conditions and mix variables. Statistical analysis was performed on the test results to develop an equation relating compressive strength to ultrasonic pulse velocity. The analysis determined that surface ultrasonic pulse velocity testing provided a better relationship than direct testing. An exponential equation was proposed based on the test data to predict compressive strength from ultrasonic pulse velocity readings.

A review of the effect of basalt fibre lengths and proportions on the mechani...eSAT Journals
Abstract
During the past few decades, the concrete construction field has seen a growing interest in the advantages that fibre reinforcement has to offer. Between the different types of fibres available, basalt fibre is considered a promising new material to use. It has extremely good strength characteristics and thermal resistance, high resistance to an alkaline environment, and is cheap product, making it an excellent material to reinforce concrete. In view of the significance of basalt fibres for concrete, and because different lengths and proportions of basalt fibres have an effect on the mechanical properties of concrete, it is proposed to review the effect of using different basalt fibre lengths and content on the mechanical properties of concrete. The mechanical properties of concrete reviewed are compressive strength, tensile strength, flexural strength, permeability, workability, and unit weight. This paper has for the first time reviewed the current literature related to the effect of using basalt fibres of different proportions on the mechanical properties of concrete, provided future researchers with the information and facts needed to compare their work, and identified the best basalt fibre length and content combination that demonstrates an improvement in the mechanical properties of concrete. From reviewing the literature, it was found that most authors agreed that the mechanical properties of concrete improved significantly when using basalt fibres with a length between 12mm and 24mm, and content between 0.1% - 0.5% by total volume. In this context, the length and content of basalt fibres in concrete becomes an important parameter for the mechanical properties of concrete.

Abstract Chapter 1deals with Introduction to treated domestic waste water utilized in concrete preparation where there is a scarcity of fresh water. Chapter 2 discusses physical properties of Materials and chemical properties of treated domestic waste water. Experimental program is presented in Chapter 4 mix proportion for M20 and M40 grade concrete are presented in this chapter. Number of specimens to be cast for different curing regimes is also presented in this chapter. Chapter 3 elaborate average compressive strength results of M20 grade concrete cast by using Tap water as mixing and curing water for Mix M1 & treated domestic waste water as mixing and curing water for Mix M2 Similarly average compressive strength results of M40 grade concrete cast by using Tap water as mixing and curing water for Mix M3 & treated domestic waste water as mixing and curing water for Mix M4. Discussion of results covers, M20 grade concrete at the age of 7days the average compressive strength for all the 2 mixes is nearly same. At the age of 14days marginal increase in compressive strength is observed in case of mix M1 but in case of mix M2 compressive strength remains same as that of 7days.And at 28days curing age decrease in compressive strength was observed .This decrease in compressive strength may be due the use of treated domestic waste water for mixing and curing. Case Study- RAW MILL GRINDING ROLLER 13Rahul Mundra
This document discusses how analytical ferrography helped diagnose a bearing failure in a grinding roller at Shree Cement's Ras plant. Abnormal large bearing wear particles were detected in the roller's oil samples as early as May 2016. Further ferrography analysis in July 2016 showed a rise in ferrous concentration and larger particle sizes, indicating problems with the bearing. The roller bearing was inspected and found to have pitting and metallic shining. Considering the ferrography results and available maintenance window, the roller was replaced, preventing further equipment damage and production losses. Regular oil analysis through ferrography successfully provided early warning of this bearing failure.

1. The document presents research on using glass powder as a partial replacement for natural sand in high strength concrete. Glass powder was used to replace sand at 0-30% by weight.
2. Concrete mixtures were tested for compressive strength, split tensile strength, and flexural strength at 7 and 28 days. Results showed increases in strength when sand was replaced with 10-20% glass powder.
3. Load-deflection testing was also conducted on reinforced concrete beams with 0-30% sand replacement. Beams with 10% replacement exhibited the highest flexural strength and stiffness. In summary, partially replacing sand with glass powder in concrete can improve strength properties.
An Experimental Study on Compressive Strength of Fiber Reinforced High Streng...IJERD Editor
This study experimentally investigated the compressive strength of high-strength concrete containing recycled coarse aggregates and glass fibers. Cubes of M50 grade concrete were produced with varying replacements of recycled coarse aggregates (ranging from 0-100%) and glass fiber contents (ranging from 0-2%). The compressive strengths were tested at 7 and 28 days. The results showed that compressive strength decreased with increasing recycled aggregate content but increased up to 1.5% glass fiber content, providing an 11.7% strength increase over concrete without fibers. The study concluded that 50% recycled aggregate replacement and 1.5% glass fibers provided optimal high-strength concrete.
The document summarizes a study that was conducted to determine sources of water pollution in Appiakrom community, Ghana. The study examined a dam, pond, and two boreholes used by the community. Laboratory analysis of water samples found that the dam, which supplies water to the district, had been polluted by anthropogenic activities. The rusty nature of one borehole was attributed to underground parent materials. The pond interfaced with the dam, and pollution could flow between the two sources. The authors recommend blocking channels between the pond and dam, and practicing zero-fertilizer farming near the dam to reduce pollution.
Impact of Locating Boreholes Near Septic Tanks Pit Latrines on Drinking Water...ijtsrd
Water is one of the most indispensible elements of life. One of the major uses of water by man is for drinking, hence drinking water quality has become a major concern in this regard because poor quality water can cause outbreak of major epidemics and death. In this study, impact of locating boreholes near septic tanks pit latrines on drinking water quality in Uyo metropolis, Akwa Ibom State was investigated. The water samples were collected from thirty 30 locations and categorized into i water from boreholes near W near and ii far from septic tanks pit latrines W far . Some physicochemical parameters analyzed were temperature, pH, electrical conductivity, turbidity, dissolved oxygen DO , biochemical oxygen demand BOD5 , salinity i.e. sulphate, carbonate, nitrate, phosphate and chloride ions , total hardness TH , total dissolved solids TDS , total suspended solids TSS and total alkalinity. Pairwise comparison between quality of W near and W far revealed that only BOD 5, TH and TDS had significant mean difference MD at 5 level of probability while their comparison with World Health Organization permissible limit P WHO showed higher significant MD. All the values of parameters were within P WHO, except that of temperature and pH. Based on the results, the water chemistry is tolerable and may not cause any critical damage to the water distribution system as well as utility components. However, treatment is still suggested and boreholes should be drilled some reasonable distances far away from septic tanks pit latrine to guarantee safe drinking water. Water is the primary need for all vital life processes. Water itself is an environment, which support large number of organisms. However, it is highly affected due to increased population, industrialization and unplanned urbanization that makes pure water scanty to human beings. Day by day, water bodies are being highly contaminated and are becoming biological deserts. At the same time, the quality of standing water is becoming more and more unfit for humankind due to unwise use, negligence and mismanagement. The quality of life is linked with the quality of environment, hence biological components of fresh water depend solely on better physico-chemical conditions, and therefore, analysis of physic-chemical parameters of water is essential. The present study was conducted at two different stations in the Rangawali Dam, from tribal area. Samples were collected between June 2007 and May 2009 on a monthly basis and evaluated quantitatively. The study carried out for two years included following physicochemical parameters of the water samples. The regional climate at the site of study is distinctly marked in to three seasons, namely Monsoon (June to September) winter (October to January) and summer (February to May). The physico-chemical parameters like Rain Fall , Atmospheric temp, Water temp, pH, Dissolved Oxygen, Dissolved carbon dioxide, Calcium, Magnesium Chlorides and Sulphates were studied on seasonal basis, since the climatic changes seem to influence the ecological factors, and physicochemical parameters.

Simultaneous Quantitation of Manganese (II) and Iron (III) In An Industrial E...IOSRJAC
In the present study, a successful attempt has been made to develop a simple method for the simultaneous determination of manganese (II) and iron (III) in an industrial effluent using differential pulse polarography (DPP) technique. Quantification of manganese (II) and iron (III) was done in Triethanolamine and KOH as a supporting electrolyte. The polarogram recorded for the industrial effluent in triethanolamine and KOH showed two peaks at -0.3V and -0.82V vs. saturated calomel electrode which were confirmed to be of manganese (II) and iron (III) respectively by the method of standard addition. The linear working range for manganese (II) and iron (III) both was 1.408 µg/mL to 4.977 µg/mL. The proposed method was found to be simple, precise, and accurate and can be successfully applied for the analysis and simultaneous determination of manganese (II) and iron (III) in industrial effluents.
Assessment of the Water Quality of Lake Sidi Boughaba (Ramsar Site 1980) Keni...IJRTEMJOURNAL
Sidi Boughaba Lake, part of a wetland complex of Morocco (Ramsar site in 1980) is located on
the Atlantic coast of northwestern Morocco, oriented NNE - SSW and located in an interdunal depression. The
existence of this body of water is due to the fact that the topographic surface is at a lower cost than that of the
piezometric surface of the coastal water table, rainwater and runoff water. The objective of this study is to
determine the physical and chemical characteristics of the waters of this lake. Thus, several water samples were
taken monthly in the period 2016-2017. Parameters such as: temperature, pH, electrical conductivity (EC),
chloride (Cl-
), turbidity (NTU), calcium (Ca2+) and magnesium (Mg2+). The results obtained show that the
distribution of the analyzed elements in Lake waters is quite variable between seasons, as well as between
stations. However, the analysis showed that the studied waters are very mineralized, with an EC between 7 g/l
and 14.8 g/l. This mineralization is essentially evaporitic and is controlled by various processes, such as
evaporation and marine influence by aerosol.

Effect of zeolite types ltx and lta on physicochemical parameters of drinking...eSAT Journals
Abstract In this study, the effect of zeolite types LTX and LTA, assisted by laser light transmission experiment on the physico-chemical parameters of drinking water samples have been investigated. Water samples were collected from rivers, streams, and wells from Central and Volta regions of Ghana, and zeolite masses of 0.2 and 0.5 g were added to 100 ml portions of the samples in turn. Laser light intensities transmitted through the samples before and after zeolite addition were measured and recorded. The results obtained showed raw water turbidity of 33.8 NTU and treated water turbidity of 3.0 NTU (WHO recommends the limit of 5 NTU for drinking water); transmitted light intensity for the raw and treated water samples of 0.3122 AU and 0.3345 AU, respectively. Our results also showed that water turbidity highly correlates the transmitted light intensity, and water conductivity depends on dissolved metal concentrations and temperature. Key Words: Zeolite LTX, Zeolite LTA, turbidity, light transmission, colour

BROAD UNEXPOSED SKILLS OF TRANSGENDER ENTREPRENEURSIAEME Publication
Since ages gender difference is always a debatable theme whether caused by nature, evolution or environment. The birth of a transgender is dreadful not only for the child but also for their parents. The pain of living in the wrong physique and treated as second class victimized citizen is outrageous and fully harboured with vicious baseless negative scruples. For so long, social exclusion had perpetuated inequality and deprivation experiencing ingrained malign stigma and besieged victims of crime or violence across their life spans. They are pushed into the murky way of life with a source of eternal disgust, bereft sexual potency and perennial fear. Although they are highly visible but very little is known about them. The common public needs to comprehend the ravaged arrogance on these insensitive souls and assist in integrating them into the mainstream by offering equal opportunity, treat with humanity and respect their dignity. Entrepreneurship in the current age is endorsing the gender fairness movement. Unstable careers and economic inadequacy had inclined one of the gender variant people called Transgender to become entrepreneurs. These tiny budding entrepreneurs resulted in economic transition by means of employment, free from the clutches of stereotype jobs, raised standard of living and handful of financial empowerment. Besides all these inhibitions, they were able to witness a platform for skill set development that ignited them to enter into entrepreneurial domain. This paper epitomizes skill sets involved in trans-entrepreneurs of Thoothukudi Municipal Corporation of Tamil Nadu State and is a groundbreaking determination to sightsee various skills incorporated and the impact on entrepreneurship.

Living in 21st century in itself reminds all of us the necessity of police and its administration. As more and more we are entering into the modern society and culture, the more we require the services of the so called ‘Khaki Worthy’ men i.e., the police personnel. Whether we talk of Indian police or the other nation’s police, they all have the same recognition as they have in India. But as already mentioned, their services and requirements are different after the like 26th November, 2008 incidents, where they without saving their own lives has sacrificed themselves without any hitch and without caring about their respective family members and wards. In other words, they are like our heroes and mentors who can guide us from the darkness of fear, militancy, corruption and other dark sides of life and so on. Now the question arises, if Gandhi would have been alive today, what would have been his reaction/opinion to the police and its functioning? Would he have some thing different in his mind now what he had been in his mind before the partition or would he be going to start some Satyagraha in the form of some improvement in the functioning of the police administration? Really these questions or rather night mares can come to any one’s mind, when there is too much confusion is prevailing in our minds, when there is too much corruption in the society and when the polices working is also in the questioning because of one or the other case throughout the India. It is matter of great concern that we have to thing over our administration and our practical approach because the police personals are also like us, they are part and parcel of our society and among one of us, so why we all are pin pointing towards them.

ROLE OF SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN RURAL DEVELOPMENT OF INDIA - PROBLEMS AND ...IAEME Publication
The majority of the population in India lives in villages. The village is the back bone of the country. Village or rural industries play an important role in the national economy, particularly in the rural development. Developing the rural economy is one of the key indicators towards a country’s success. Whether it be the need to look after the welfare of the farmers or invest in rural infrastructure, Governments have to ensure that rural development isn’t compromised. The economic development of our country largely depends on the progress of rural areas and the standard of living of rural masses. Village or rural industries play an important role in the national economy, particularly in the rural development. Rural entrepreneurship is based on stimulating local entrepreneurial talent and the subsequent growth of indigenous enterprises. It recognizes opportunity in the rural areas and accelerates a unique blend of resources either inside or outside of agriculture. Rural entrepreneurship brings an economic value to the rural sector by creating new methods of production, new markets, new products and generate employment opportunities thereby ensuring continuous rural development. Social Entrepreneurship has the direct and primary objective of serving the society along with the earning profits. So, social entrepreneurship is different from the economic entrepreneurship as its basic objective is not to earn profits but for providing innovative solutions to meet the society needs which are not taken care by majority of the entrepreneurs as they are in the business for profit making as a sole objective. So, the Social Entrepreneurs have the huge growth potential particularly in the developing countries like India where we have huge societal disparities in terms of the financial positions of the population. Still 22 percent of the Indian population is below the poverty line and also there is disparity among the rural & urban population in terms of families living under BPL. 25.7 percent of the rural population & 13.7 percent of the urban population is under BPL which clearly shows the disparity of the poor people in the rural and urban areas. The need to develop social entrepreneurship in agriculture is dictated by a large number of social problems. Such problems include low living standards, unemployment, and social tension. The reasons that led to the emergence of the practice of social entrepreneurship are the above factors. The research problem lays upon disclosing the importance of role of social entrepreneurship in rural development of India. The paper the tendencies of social entrepreneurship in India, to present successful examples of such business for providing recommendations how to improve situation in rural areas in terms of social entrepreneurship development. Indian government has made some steps towards development of social enterprises, social entrepreneurship, and social in- novation, but a lot remains to be improved.
OPTIMAL RECONFIGURATION OF POWER DISTRIBUTION RADIAL NETWORK USING HYBRID MET...IAEME Publication
Distribution system is a critical link between the electric power distributor and the consumers. Most of the distribution networks commonly used by the electric utility is the radial distribution network. However in this type of network, it has technical issues such as enormous power losses which affect the quality of the supply. Nowadays, the introduction of Distributed Generation (DG) units in the system help improve and support the voltage profile of the network as well as the performance of the system components through power loss mitigation. In this study network reconfiguration was done using two meta-heuristic algorithms Particle Swarm Optimization and Gravitational Search Algorithm (PSO-GSA) to enhance power quality and voltage profile in the system when simultaneously applied with the DG units. Backward/Forward Sweep Method was used in the load flow analysis and simulated using the MATLAB program. Five cases were considered in the Reconfiguration based on the contribution of DG units. The proposed method was tested using IEEE 33 bus system. Based on the results, there was a voltage profile improvement in the system from 0.9038 p.u. to 0.9594 p.u.. The integration of DG in the network also reduced power losses from 210.98 kW to 69.3963 kW. Simulated results are drawn to show the performance of each case.
