Production Process Evaluation
Research
• Strengths:
– In my research PowerPoint the existing product was very detailed and that
might have helped me to decide how I would like to create my interview. I
collected some questions from a few interviews that I have watched on
YouTube.
– The audience profile helped me to decide which target audience my
project would appeal to. Doing this slide, I could think more about my
audience age, gender, psychographic and social status. With this I could
see what exactly who my audience would be and make my product appeal
to this specific audience.
– The research PowerPoint helped me to produce the interview questions
and it helped me to decide what exactly my interview would be about.
• Weaknesses:
– It doesn’t give lots of detail about my product, it just gave me some ideas
about what I wanted to include in my final project. Next time I will try to
give more detail in the research PowerPoint to help me more.
– I could have given more information on some existing products by saying
what effects they used in their interview. I would make sure that I’m
getting information that will be useful to my product.
Planning
• Strengths:
– The planning PowerPoint helped me to decide what I wanted to create
in this project; firstly, I had to create the mind map with 3 different
ideas that would help me to decide what my product would be. In my
final idea, I tried to give lots of details to make it clear to me how
create the interview.
– The pre-production helped me to choose the sound effects and the
music that I would like to include in my interview.
• Weaknesses:
– Some sound effects I didn’t use in my final product; I thought that the
interview didn’t need the countdown clock and I only used Rihanna’s
famous hits. The alarm sound effect I used only in my product
experiment, as part of my morning routine recording.
Time Management
• I managed my time well, I have done my product in time and I
completed it on time. If I had more time to do it, I might have
added more effects on my final product.
• If I had more time to produce it, I would also have improved some
slides in PowerPoint, by giving more details. I also think that I spent
too much time recording the interview, because I had to be with my
friend to do the interview. It was quite easy to fit in my time with
my friend because she had free time when we recorded, but I had
to record the interview twice because the first one was too short
and I wanted it to be 3 minutes long.
• I used my schedule to help me to manage my time and it worked
well because I finished my product in time and I could send it.
Technical Qualities
• Similarities:
– This interview is similar to my product because of the way that
the interviewer asked the 73 questions for Selena Gomez, in my
interview the celebrity has to answer 30 questions.
– Both are interviewing famous celebrities.
• Differences:
– The existing product is a video where the interviewer asks a few
questions quickly and the celebrity has to answer it in a short
way.
– Both are short, but mine is shorter than the existing product.
The existing product is 7 minutes long, my product is 3 minutes.
– My product has sound in the background, the existing product
just has the interviewer and interviewee talking and walking
around Selena’s house.

Aural Qualities
• I think my interview was creative and it sounds good. I liked the
music on the background, I used instrumental versions of Rihanna’s
songs (Work and Wild Thoughts). I would improve the editing part,
because the interviewer has made some mistakes and these could
have been cut out to make it sound better.
• Strengths:
– The interview is 3 minutes which is good because I didn’t want it to be too
long.
– It is not boring like some interviews that sometimes go on too long. My
interview is shorter than 5 minutes.
• Weaknesses:
– In some audio files there are a few mistakes, next time I would cut them
out or record it again.
– I didn’t use any sound effects in my final product, I only used instrumental
versions of Rihanna’s songs.
Audience Appeal
• Yes, my product appeals to my target audience by having an
informal language that might catches the audience’s attention
because the interview is quite relaxing and entertaining for all
that might be interested in listening this interview to know a
little bit more about the celebrity (Rihanna). The interview is
short so the audience might find it fun instead of getting
bored if it was longer.
• The interview might catch a more female audience than male
because I think the women have more interest in listening to
this interview because of the famous singer Rihanna. The
interview is for all, men can also listen to the interview if they
have interest or they might like the singer.
Peer
Feedback
Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– I like the questions that were asked as you get to
find out information about Rihanna. I really liked
the music in the background as I fit well with the
audio.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– I think that there were some parts to the audio
where you could of cut more as there are some
mistakes.
Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– I liked the fact there wasn’t any stuttering with
both people.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Make sure that if something does go wrong, that
you make sure to notice it and re do any parts that
could be even better.
Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– The questions were interesting and amusing. The
listeners would have enjoyed this interview.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– The interviewer could have asked questions which
reflected on the interviewees answers.
Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
– I strongly agree that I should have made some
improvements or re recorded some parts of my interview
to make it sound better.
– The sound in the background was a good idea to make it fit
in the interview and to make sure that it is clear so the
audience can hear the interview.
• What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
– I disagree that the interview questions could have flowed
more because I wanted the questions to be short and
punchy.
– If I spent a lot of time recording I might not finish the
project in time and I would miss the deadline, so I couldn’t
spend lots of time re recoding it.
Peer Feedback Summary
• I would have improved the recording part
because it took a lot of time and I had to record it
twice because the first one wasn’t as long as I
wanted. To improve this, I added more questions
on the script. Next time I would make sure that I
re record some parts of the interview that have a
few mistakes.
• Next time I will try to find some effects that can
make the interview a little bit more interesting
and amusing. To do that I would research sound
effects to use in the interview and download and
edit it.
