Essay Questions For Macbeth
Crafting an essay on the topic of "Essay Questions for Macbeth" can be a challenging endeavor,
requiring a delicate balance of literary analysis, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of the
play. Macbeth, a complex and multi-faceted tragedy by William Shakespeare, demands a
nuanced exploration of its characters, themes, and the intricacies of its plot.
One of the difficulties lies in navigating the vast array of potential essay questions. Macbeth is a
rich source of themes such as ambition, power, guilt, and the consequences of unchecked
ambition. Selecting the right question involves careful consideration of personal interpretation,
ensuring that the chosen topic allows for a thorough exploration of the chosen theme or aspect of
the play.
Furthermore, delving into the characters of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth requires a keen
understanding of their psychological evolution throughout the play. Analyzing the motivations
behind their actions, the impact of external influences, and the consequences of their choices
adds another layer of complexity to the essay.
The ability to seamlessly integrate textual evidence to support arguments is crucial. This task
demands a close reading of the play, identifying relevant quotes and passages that not only
illustrate key points but also demonstrate a profound comprehension of Shakespeare's language
and style.
In addition to the technical challenges, the essay writer must engage in critical thinking to offer
unique insights and perspectives. Striking a balance between personal interpretation and
adherence to scholarly conventions is essential to produce a compelling and well-reasoned essay.
However, for those who find themselves grappling with the intricacies of Macbeth or who simply
seek assistance in essay writing, there are resources available. Similar essays, expertly crafted and
tailored to specific requirements, can be obtained from services like HelpWriting.net. These

Chase Bank Career Path
Organizational Structure and Your Career Path An organization that I admire and
would like to work for in the future is Chase Bank. The most admirable quality of this
financial institution has to be its leadership during the financial crises of 2008.
Through great task delegation and resource management, this company was able to
circumvent detrimental events which could have led to bankruptcy. Since, I am
interested in working for a financial institution such as Chase Bankand I am following
the educational steps that reflect this desire, it would only be appropriate that in the
future a joining of interests from Chase Bank and myself would take place. With
further education in finance, I see myself developing a strong foundation of

However, it would be a mistake in the current banking industry to partake in
expressive leadership, which takes into account as a high priority the employee s
emotional wellbeing (Prodanciuc, 2012). This kind of leadership is not nearly as
crucial in current circumstances so far underlined. In order to solve compliance
issues what is needed is an instrumental leadership style which engages in strict task
delegation. This is why I would be an instrumental leader (Prodanciuc, 2012). Not
only would job clarity be of utmost importance, but goals would be reached in a
timely manner.
Measuring Risk at Financial Institutions The idea of risk is used in many fields
and industries. There has been large efforts made towards the understanding of
risk. Since, risk varies so much depending on the field of study, the need for
learning about it is warranted. As can be imagined, the importance of risk in a
market economy is crucial. In the 1990s, JP Morgan made the Value at Risk (VaR)
a central component of its work efforts (Cecilia Nicoleta, Anne Marie, Carmen
Maria, 2011). After that time, VaR has become embraced by the Governing Bodies
overseeing the world bank. In essence, VaR measures the probability of loss or
gains related to capital stock. Furthermore, the understanding of the chance of loss
or gain can be extended over the economic life of a project (Cecilia Nicoleta et al.,

tennis paper
There are several different aspects of playing and improving your tennis game.
Different strokes, rules, boundaries and many other aspects make up the game of
tennis. Over the next few pages, I will do my best to explain the forehand and
backhand stroke, the serve and volley, the rules of tennis, and without a doubt the
grandslam.
The forehand stroke is the most popular in tennis. Stand facing the net, knees slightly
bent, weight evenly distributed and forward on the balls of your feet. The racket is
held in front of your body, elbows in close and parallel to the ground. The racket is
supported with your free hand. From the turn position, the racket goes back until it is

Volleys hit in front of your body use very little effort and most of the time are
winners. Prepare quickly with a compact back swing. Flex your body and knees to
get down to the shot and stay there through the stroke. Move the racquet head
smoothly to lift the ball over the net. Let your racquet continue naturally in the
direction of the ball. The whole point of the volley is to move your opponent from
front to back court. In turn, you will have a better chance of placing the ball as far
away from your opponent as possible. There are a few basic rules to playing the
game of tennis. Though rules can change a little with singles and doubles match
ups, the rules are for the most part fairly general. The Court shall be a rectangle 78
feet (23.77m.) long and 27 feet (8.23m.) wide. When a combined doubles (see Rule
34) and singles Court with a doubles net is used for singles, the net must be
supported to a height of 3 feet 6 inches (1.07m.) by means of two posts, called
quot;singles sticks quot;, which shall be not more than 3 inches (7.5cm.) square or
3 inches (7.5cm.) in diameter. The centers of the singles sticks shall be 3 feet
(.914m.) outside the singles Court on each side. For the Doubles Game, the court
shall be 36 feet (10.97m.) in width, i.e. 41/2 feet (1.37m.) wider on each side than
the Court for the Singles Game, and those portions of the singles side lines which lie
between the two service lines shall be called the service side lines. In other respects,

A Person s Environment Is The Same Opportunity At The
End...
Every person struggle is different. Some have worked sweat and tears for their
achievements while others have had things just handed to them and do not really
know the struggle of hard work. Some people work as hard as they can and at the
end of the day, they still cannot seem to succeed, as they would like to. They can
work hard, live a good legal life, and yet still cannot make ends meet at the end of the
day. The film Trading places, and the Not everybody in America has the same
opportunity to be successful because one person s environment may be much
rougher than another person environment. A person s environment is a key factor
in their success. A person born into poverty is going to have a much harder time to
get ahead than a person that is born into a wealthy family or environment. It is as if
they are already in a negative situation before they even have a chance to begin life.
A person born into poverty doesn t have that extra time to do homework at home
because they might have to be home taking care of other siblings while guardians are
at work. Sometimes they might not even be at home babysitting; they might have to
get a job themselves because the money situation is so tight at home. While a person
born to a wealthier family has that extra time to study, that person has the extra time
to participate in extracurricular activities that might be a key to success. They do not
have to worry about little things, which allow them to concentrate all of their time,
Customer Relationship Management ( Crm ) At Harrah s
Company
Harrah s Company has taken the Hospitably Industry to a whole new level.
Companies want to get more information about their customers behavior and build a
lifetime relationship. After a long research, Customer Relationship Management
(CRM) at Harrah s came to consist of two elements to implement marketing tools and
programs across all Harrah s properties; Database Marketing(DBM) and the Total
Gold Program.
Harrah s established Database Marketing in 1997. Under this program customer
will get a Gold Card to be used while making any transaction at any Harrah s
properties. The question rose, is the marketing program successful? After analyzing
the exhibits at the end of the study case, I concluded that the program was
successful. From Exhibit 1 it seems clearly that the profits nearly double from year
97 to 99. From Exhibit 2b, it seems that 50% of the new customer that were giving
the card came back in the next three months. From exhibit 2c, the loyalty customer
visiting the casino more frequently after receiving offers. Also, from exhibit 2d, the
loyal customers spend more hours and spend more money after receiving offers.
Using CRM in the gaming industry as marketing tool can account for strength and
weakness. Some of the strengths under the data collection through the programs are:
customization of customer service, Coding Customers, Targeting Customers, sharing
customer information within the organization, improving cost management and
increase profitability. One
Metis Struggle for Self Identification Essay
Metis Struggle for Self Identification
One of the most contentious issues in Canada s history is that of the Metis. Some
people feel this unique group of people does not deserve any sort of recognition,
whereas others believe their unique history and culture is something to be recognized
and cherished. The history of the Metis people is filled with struggle; not only
struggles against other powers, but also a struggle for self identification. Despite
strong opposition, the Metis people of Canada have matured as a political force and
have taken great strides towards being recognized as a unique people. The word
Metis is a French word that means: mixed race . Today it is often used for anyone
who has European Indian ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The most sought after reason for the envy was because of the jobs they were
offered. If they were able to read and write, they were in huge demand at one of the
trading companies. Some would follow in their fathers footsteps and become
trappers and traders, a few Metis would even become chiefs of Indian tribes ,
because of their knowledge of the white man. The circumstances that existed at this
time encouraged the Metis people to begin to formulate their own identity. In the
early parts of the 17th century, France created the Voyageur system . Voyageurs were
labourers who would transport trade goods between First Nations peoples and the
French trading posts . They functioned under very strict French and Church law.
Eventually, several European and Metis individuals and groups began to trade
without the French state s approval. These traders were called couriers de bois and
were vilified by both France and the Church . Since the couriers de bois acted as
free agents, France, and later England, could not profit from transactions made by
the couriers. To counteract the loss in potential revenue, strict measures were
created to prevent the couriers de bois from doing any business. These strict
measures were called the conge system, this was a licensing system where by not
more than seventy five traders would go to the west each year . Many traders were
arrested, and often, were saved only because of strong ties
The Parthenon Sculptures Should Be Returned to Greece
The Greeks finished building an exquisite temple to their beloved goddess, Athena in
the year 432 BCE. (Sayre 60). The name of this enriched, unique temple was the
Parthenon. The Parthenon took the Greeks approximately fifteen years to complete
and as Pericles stated, it was built to give gratitude to their goddess Athena for the
salvation of their city, Athensand all of Greece in the Persian Wars (Sayre 60). It was
also a symbol of their power and superiority among other cultures. It was something
the Greeks took great pride in and recognized it to a great extent. The Parthenonwas
built on the highest point of the city of Athens to look over the precious Greek city.
On the exterior walls of the Parthenon there was beautiful artwork that... Show more

Therefore, I strongly believe that these exquisite sculptures need to return to where
they were originally built, in Greece. As I mentioned, this is an extremely
controversial topic that has raised a lot of difference in opinions. Furthermore, I must
admit that those arguing for the sculptures to remain in Britain do make some
interesting points that plenty of people have taken into consideration. One of their
arguments is that the sculptures were already in a damaged and fragile condition, and
leaving them in Greece would have destroyed them completely ( The Parthenon
Marbles: Refuting the Arguments , par 6). In the YouTube video, Parthenon Marbles
Debate , one of Tristam Hunt s arguments is if the Greeks are able to acquire their
historic artwork, this may cause other countries to demand their historic artifacts as
well, not just from the British Museum, but from museums all over the world as
well. I can see the counter arguments that this controversy issue involves. However,
regardless of whether they were in a horrible condition, the Greeks were never
consulted, nor did they have a say regarding the selling of this artwork to Elgin. Now,
when it comes to everyone claiming and demanding they receive their ancient
artwork, like historian Hunt said; this is true. It can happen, but I don t believe that
any other artifacts have the amount of significance that these sculptures do. The

Multi Agency Working
Partnership working is important because it does improve the services, direct
outcome and preventions in health and social care. Jointly working guarantee
individuals obtaining the most excellent care according to their exact needs at all
time, supporting them to maintain their independent and if possible avoid hospital
admission or lengthy care. In this essay, the writer will examine the collaboration
of multi agency working. She will also discuss partnership working/multi

within mental health services are essential, though it has challenges. Commitment is
part of the barriers or challenges within multi agency work in mental health services
that disturbed working relationships. It is necessary for Individuals to be prepared to

of commitment was habitually acknowledged as a challenge to multi agency working

Patient-Centered Nurses
I had to ask myself the same question when I was summarizing the recommendations.
After reading the three articles, I understood that the AACN, Carnegie and IOM
recognized the importance of nurses to further their education in order to achieve
patient centered care, practice safety, and provide quality of care with better patients
outcomes. I realized that there was an overlap between the reports and the need to
address more complex issues in nursing.
In fact, the AACN first came out in 1965 to advocate for nurses to at least complete
their baccalaureate degree before entering practice in order to fulfill their role in
health promotion and disease prevention, case management, and managed care
settings (AACN, 2000). After that, the Carnegie
The Role Of Native Americans In Colonial America
During the early colonial period in America, new American settlers did not get along
well with the Natives. The Native people gave the American people many problems
when they came to settle in the New World. Most of these problems included the
Natives capturing Americans and keeping them as hostages during the wars.
Depending on the reasons why these Americans were captured and who captured
them, depended on what kind of experience these Americans would have during their
captivity. The Americans experiences would also depend on what gender they were
and that would determine how they were treated and what role they would play in the
tribe. During the early colonial time, there were two important American settlers
named Mary Rowlandson and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After her capture, she was used as a slave for a chief named Weetamoo. While she
was a slave for Weetamoo, she had many horrible experiences with him and his
tribe. These experiences were due to her gender role as a woman. The natives
treated woman with little to no respect, usually denying them food and shelter, like
in Mary Rowlandson s case. Because Mary had all these bad experiences with the
Natives, she began to call them savages and tell how awful they treated her all
because she was a woman. Like Mary Rowlandson, James Smith was captured
during a war between the Natives and Americans. James Smith was a part of a
wagon trail building team along with three hundred plus men. The wagon trails
him and the other men were building, were used for them to travel to their
American tribes during the wars to trade and have shelter. While James was going
through the trails to check on some of the group members, he was captured by
Natives. Like Mary Rowlandson again, he was one of the only ones on the trail
building team to survive as a hostage. James Smith was very lucky to be spared,
because Natives thought that white men should be sacrificed and die when they are
captured. James s life was only spared because he made it back to their tribe without
lagging behind. This meant a great amount to the Natives, therefore, they made James
into their own and initiated him into their tribe with what he thought was cruel
The Role Of the Castrati in the Baroque Era
The Role Of the Castrati in the Baroque Era
When it comes to music history, the Castrati are one of the most important and
debated topics. The Castrati were men (in Italian opera) that had been castrated
during puberty to stop a flow of hormones, causing them to have the voice of a
soprano woman, but the vocal power of an older, full grown man. A general estimate
said that four thousand boys a year were castrated in Italy. Some Castrati tried to
make it in church choirs (which often gave them almost nothing of monetary value),
most chose the opera route. They reigned supreme when they got onstage, being the
obvious star of the show. They were the master performers that drew the crowd in
with their amazing voices. During the Baroque ... Show more content on

Even though he was a soprano, he also had an amazingly clear lower register,
where a tenor would most likely be comfortable. Farinelli showed off all the
sweetness of his voice wherever he traveled and was rewarded with roars of
applause. During this period of time, he did no wrong. He was famous beyond
belief, a formidable performer, and had honors upon honors. One of his most
famous performances involved him having a duet with a trumpet that turned into a
duel. Porpora, who was his teacher, spoke about the event: During the run of an
opera there was a struggle every night between Farinelli and a famous player on the
trumpet [...] After severally swelling a note in which each manifested the power of
his lungs and tried to rival the other in brilliancy and force, they had both a swell and
shake together, by thirds, which was continued so long [...] that both seemed
exhausted; and, in fact, the trumpeter, wholly spent, gave it up, thinking, however,
his antagonist as much tired as himself [...]; when Farinelli, with a smile on his
countenance, showing that he had only been sporting with him all that time, broke
out all at once in the same breath, with fresh vigor, and not only swelled and shook
the note, but ran the most rapid and difficult divisions and was at last silenced only
by the acclamations of the audience. From this period may be dated the superiority
which he ever maintained over all his contemporaries.

My Summer Vacation At Toronto
Two summers ago in 2014 I took my annual summer vacation to Toronto. I spent
two months with my aunt, uncle, and cousins. Around that time everyone had the
World Cup fever, rooting for their country or other countries. For much of the
beginning of my stay I sequestered myself in my room surrounded only by my
electronic companions. By mid July I adapted to a daily routine of afternoon wake
up, brunch, and returning back to my room to scroll through Instagram and check
my Snapchat. Occasionally I would participate in the family ritual of lounging lazily
in the evening in the family room watching the latest Big Brother episode after the
adults long day of work. On one of those days in about the last week of June my

They plotted a wicked scheme to have fun. They decided to take turns popping in

course stayed up later than I should have, so they weren t fully to blame. I groggily
got ready and lumbered with my suitcase down the steps. The little ones finished

trip to Niagara would differ from my other two trips because it had a spontaneous
aspect. The sun shined timidly through the windows as my little cousins finished
up getting ready. We finally got loaded in the car by mid morning on a early
August Saturday. The drive lasted two hours. However, with two energetic little
people in addition to traveling on an endless highway it felt like an eternity. I can t
even remember how many times the phrases Are we there yet? and Can we have
candy? escaped Navaeha and Nylah s mouth. By the thirty minute mark, I looked
up to the welkin and begged God for mercy. About an hour into the trip, we pulled
into a parking lot for bathroom breaks and snack distributions. I stepped out to grab
some fresh air and next to me I saw a grand peach tree hovering over my side of the
car. I thought to myself how the peaches probably tasted really good And my appetite
suddenly whetted. I grabbed the fruit
What Did Thomas Paine Contribute To America
Opening:
Thomas Paine contributed significantly to the development of the United States of
America. He helped in many ways such as the book common sense, which was a huge
one, pamphlets, and his argument about corrupt monarchy. Without him america
would probably not be the same today as it is now.
Book of Common Sense:
One reason is, When he wrote Common Sense it was when the Britain and American
were arguing about america winning the war. The British had betrayed america and
now many people were in the middle of either side. But for some they were on
britain side in the war. Thomas paine had wrote Common Sense to persuade people
who were on the side of british to come over to the side of america and fight for
them. The book had sold
Eminent Domain Should Be Used For The Good Of
Mankind Essay
Imagine getting a visitor at your front door, and the visitor offers you a very
generous amount of money for them to take you property for public use. For some
people it is the property they grew up on, and for others it is the property that has
been passed down through family generations. That is what happens when private
propertyowners experience eminent domain. Eminent domain can be a wonderful
thing for big companies and powerful leaders. On the other hand, people lose their
homes, or perhaps their farmland. Those who offer eminent domain often have big
plans that can benefit a community, but the huge loss here is people losing their
homes. Most companies will only enforce eminent domain if they have no other
choice. Other companies do it purely for themselves. Eminent domain should be
used for the good of mankind, because it has the power to put some good places in
this world if done correctly. Doing some research on eminent domain I came across
the April 2010 issue of the Yale Law Journal. One of the notes in that issue mentioned
the history of eminent domain, and it was called Eminent domain due process by
Zachary Hudson. Hudson talks about how after eminent domain was founded; it was
argued that it the power of eminent domain was or was not in the Constitution.
Hudson says that Congress did not pass a statute authorizing the use of eminent
domain more generally until 1867 when it did so to aid in the development of
national cemeteries following the civil war
Should Competitive Dance Be Considered A Sport Essay
On average, an hour of dance can burn about 300 calories as opposed to an hour of
cricket, which only burns 270 calories (CalorieLab). However, despite both this and
countless other facts, competitive dance is still not considered to be a sport. Dancers
train for hours upon hour through sweat, blood, and tears just as many athletes do.
Similar to any other sport, competitive dancerequires its participants to go head to
head against each other in intense competitions. Even though a large number of
people don t see it as one, competitive dance should be considered a sport as it
follows the definition of one.

small bed as he waited for sleep to take over. He thought about the occurrence and the
information about the beastmen. He always thought that there was more to the world
than what they had here in the village. Now that the path appeared in front of him, he

The majority in cases from Texas and Georgia said that the decision to end a
pregnancy during the first three months belongs to the woman and her doctor. Not
the government. Too many the debate over the concerns of abortion begin with Roe

socio ethical issue with both sides continuously fighting each other over its legality.
After research I believe that women should have the choice when it comes to
surrendering their bodies to hindrance of pregnancy.
In the US around, fifty one percent of pregnancies are unintended. With thirty one
percent of those being unwanted. This statistic comes from the CDC. It is an
unfortunate thing that, that many pregnancies go unwanted, but within those
unwanted pregnancies rape does play a role. Five percent of rape victims do occur
an unwanted. In the United States there are options and one of those options is of
course giving your child away for adoption, but women should have more options.
Women should have the option to have abortion and other pro life choices. They
should have the right to choose the options they want. There are numerous things that
could assist them. There s medical, financial disadvantages that come along with
having a child dealing with a pro nine months and very large social stigmas that affect
their lives.
According to the Colorado Department of Health and impairment unexpected
pregnancies have a higher risk of birth defects and can cause long term development
issues. These include low birth rate, child abuse, postpartum depression, lower
education
Characteristics Of Ila
Another young and one of the most important diasporic characters in the text is Ila.
Ila appears in the text as perpetually locked in the present although a materially
elite, cosmopolitan who, is not able to transcend the shadow lines even on a
circumambulate tour of the world. In a way both the narrator and Ila can be seen
as diasporic. Since, both of them are dislocated from their native land, to the other
side of the globe but in separate respects. While, for Ila the different countries she
has travelled to and their memories are equally insignificant, the narrator is capable
of traveling through the agency of his imagination in the allegorical sense. As the
narrator is of the view that a place does not merely exist, that it has to be... Show

Malathi notes in Nation as identity in Amitav Ghosh s The Shadow Lines that
Benedict Anderson has provided a penetrating remark on the nation. He says, The
nation is an imagined political community. It is imagined because the members of
even the smallest nation will never know most of their fellow members meet them
or even hear of them, yet in the minds of each lives the image of their communion.
(Malathi, 303) The formation of a nation state is a bipartite procedure involving
from one point of view a blending together in spite of apparent dissimilarities
among those situated inside the territory and a creation of alienness on those
located outside the border. Tha mma s feeble, aged Jethamoshai ,who was the sole
reason for Tha mma a visit to Dhaka provides an illuminating remark on the the
absurdity and illogicality of borders and boundaries that form a nation. He says,
Once you start moving you never stop. That s what I told my sons when they took
the trains. I said: I don t believe in this India Shindia. It s all very well, you re going
away now, but suppose when you get there they decide to drawanother line
somewhere? What will you do then? Where will you move to? (SL 211) The simple
question brings to fore the problem of identity faced by any displaced person and the
sheer nonsensicality in the efforts of drawing borders and dividing
Lessons from Montessori
Test 2 Question 1. Presentations are offered to children so that they can perform
activities. How do you differentiate between activities and presentations?
Presentations are: 1. Introducing the educational materials to the child, so that the
child can perform and work with them in a purposeful manner while, It is said that the
Activity of the child will become purposeful only when or if the materials used is for
the purpose it has been created. 2. Presentations in Montessori has two forms, it can

teaching children how to do things properly. 3. In Montessori, Activities may be

adults are activities to get work done. 5. Activities done by the children are to get
fun, feel his/her independence and confidence and most especially is in order to
learn. 6. Activities are shown giving the child only the essential framework required
for understanding, the bare minimum. By giving the bare minimum we create the
opportunity for children to be at liberty to explore, hypothesis and think creatively. 7.
Ihn Montessori, the activity children undertake strengthen their ability to make
choices and act upon their own judgments and decisions. The activity also
strengthens the child s ability to act for themselves and through the successful
completion of activities self chosen and self corrected they develop a powerful love
of learning and of life itself.
Super Bowl Stereotypes
One of the reasons I connect to the Super Bowl is that I approach my shows like an
athlete (BeyoncГ©, 2016). On Sunday, February 7th, 2016 the NFL Super Bowl
50 was hosted where the Panthers played against the Broncos. The halftime show
was headlined by Coldplay, with special guest performers Beyonce and Bruno
Mars. Beyonce took over the stage and with her performance the female singer was
trying to make a serious political statement. At the halftime show, BeyoncГ© sang
her most recent song called Formation , and it captured everyone s attention with
her performance and was called out racist. Also the music video made a political
issue that is now being charged. BeyoncГ© is being criticized for her Super Bowl
halftime performance. The New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani said, I think it was
outrageous ( February 8th, 2016). Everyone has different opinions and reactions to
BeyoncГ© s performance but being judge is part of being famous. The female

Beethoven Personality
Basically, Beethoven s personality is unacceptable to others opinions or criticism
with regard to his works. Before success of third version of the opera, he obtained
plenty criticisms regarding his previous two versions of the opera. On the other
hand, his friends advised him to revise for success since his misconception of the
operagenre. After the premiere of the first version of the opera, the revision was
suggested by Beethoven s friends who had remained in Vienna during the occupation
of French armies in Vienna. On December 1805, the tenor Josef August Rockel left
the comments regarding a small committee to discuss the Beethoven s opera in the
Lichnowsky palace. The small committee included only two singers for all high voice
and all low voice. Furthermore, the princess played piano for the orchestra part and
Clement played violin for the instrumental part. Then, Breuning combined the three
acts of the first version into two acts. Throughout fusion process, Beethoven suddenly
took his score with wrath and he shouted that it would rather destroy it than dishonour

Essay On Multiculturalism In Canada
Finally I will discuss how Canada is a multicultural nation, and how this shapes
how we look at race, racism and ethnicity. To add, after looking at where I was
raised and my personal experience with working in the factory environment helps me
realize how culturally diverse Canada is. Therefore, I will discuss multiculturalism
and how this term is important for us to learn if we want to understand race, racism
and ethnicity. As we know, Canadais known to be the most multicultural nation in the
world today, as well, Canada is known to bring in millions of immigrants every year.

understand how immigrants are categorized and segregated in the blue collar job

Human Trafficking in Oklahoma
Individuals all over the world are at risk of being abducted and sold into some form
of human trafficking or forced prostitution. Worldwide, human trafficking is the
second largest form of organized crime. This is especially true in Oklahoma.
Interstate Highways Forty, Thirty five, and Forty four all three run through Oklahoma
, stretching from coast to coast, and from Mexico to Canada. These highways make
Oklahoma an ideal crossroads for human trafficking. Because of these highways, new
cases of this epidemic emerge in Oklahoma every day. For example, in June of
2015, five residents of Oklahoma City were indicted by a federal grand jury for
operating an escort service, providing underage females to men in exchange for
money (Justice News). Everyone is at risk of becoming a victim of human
trafficking, especially females. I am particularly concerned about this ever
increasing trend for the safety of my wife and other members of my family. There
are steps, however, that we as Oklahomans can take to protect ourselves, and those
we care about to reduce this despicable crime. The first step we must take is to
increase public awareness of the problem. Like so many other problems, people
assume that such a tragedy could never happen to them. Second, Oklahoma State
Legislature must increase the penalty upon conviction of human trafficking. Finally,
Oklahoma Legislature must prohibit gentleman s clubs statewide. The society we
live in views females as

The Debate over the Plausibility of Irreducible Complexity...
Irreducible Complexity
What is irreducible complexity? Michael Behe, the inventor of the term irreducible
complexity, said it is a single system which is composed of several interacting parts
that contribute to the basic function, and where the removal of any one of the parts
causes the system to effectively cease functioning. (Darwin s Black Box p39 in the
2006 edition) In English, irreducible complexity is a debate by proponents of
intelligent design that specific organic systems are too complex to have evolved from
simpler ancestors. It argues that natural selection can not explain irreducible
complexity. Irreducible complexity is used to describe a trait of intricate systems
where they need all their parts to function properly. ... Show more content on

Mendelian genetics was developed initially by Mendel. Through his pea plants
experiments. he developed 3 principles of inheritance: the first being inheritance
involves the passing of discrete units of inheritance, or genes, from parents to
offspring, Second, during reproduction, the inherited factors (now called alleles) that
determine traits are separated into reproductive cells by a process called meiosis and
randomly reunite during fertilization. And third, genes located on different
chromosomes will be inherited independently of each other. There are also neo
Darwinists. Evolutionists and neo Darwinists think very similarly, except for one
thing: neo Darwinists believe that for macroevolution to occur there would have to be
added information to the genetic code. They think that this can happen by mutation.
As a critical thinker, I do see a point or two from both sides of the arguments. I can
see certain things do happened through mutations and natural selections, however,
those mutations and natural selections can t possibly cross the species line. How can
one argue that through millions and millions of years, humans have evolved from
reptiles, or other less complex being? It has been proven through various cultures,
religions, etc that humans have souls, whereas animals, especially those less complex
ones don t? How can the souls be added through natural

Honor in No One Writes to the Colonel and Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Garcia
Marquez
Every culture in the world has its own unique set of values that they adhere to in
life. The most important value to people is their honor. Honor is a very important
factor in a person life that they will stop at nothing to make sure it is not lost. This
endless pursuit of keeping honor can causes both positive and negative effects to a
society. The reason honor is a main driving force in a person s life is for the simple
fact that it determines how the society views that person s integrity, honesty and
truthfulness to himself and family.
In the two novellas No One Writes to the Colonel and Chronicle of a Death Foretold,
Garcia Marquez ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Colonel and his wife consequently starve in order to maintain the honor given
by the rooster. They conceal this humiliation of poverty by giving a false illusion of
who they are to their neighbors. The Colonel believes that starvation is necessary as
long as they are honorable to the liberal party and their son. The wife of the Colonel
states I [place] stones on to boil so the neighbors wouldn t know that we often go
with out food for days (159). The Colonel s wife feels humiliated that they have to
live in poverty to maintain honor. In a moment of doubt the Colonel s wife states to
the Colonel you can t eat dignity (160). Then the author uses a brief interruption in
the setting to show incorrectness in the wife s comment. Garcia uses the interruption
of lighting to show that what the wife said was wrong and that lying and maintaining
their honor is the most important thing to do.
This same idea that maintaining honor can cause a person to live a life of lies is
seen in the novella Chronicle of a Death Foretold. The whole town covers up and
lies about being involved and having any information about Santiago Nasar s death.
They do this because they want to honor the Vicario family by making the murder
look justifiable and a strict matter of family honor. The narrator states that, affairs of
honor are sacred monopolies, giving access only to those who are part of it
Example Of Superhero In Beowulf
Imagine a superhero, believed to be the bravest and greatest role model. Everyone
looks up to that superhero and wants to be like him. Some would say that the
superhero is the model person for how society should act. But then, one day people
found out the superhero was a fraud; he was not actually a good role model and was
all for show. In the poem, Beowulf, translated by Seamus Heaney, Beowulf is a
character who is the same fraud as the metaphorical superhero. It is seen through
his brash decisions that he values glory and personal achievement, and lets his ego
dictate the decisions he makes, and how he lives his life. While Beowulf seems
like the model Anglo Saxon, he is in fact driven by his ego and pursuit of glory.
Because of this he breaks comitatus and is the opposite of the ultimate Anglo
Saxon. Beowulf is the opposite of the ultimate Anglo Saxon because he goes
against comitatus and ignores his king. When Beowulf returns to Geatland,
Hygelac tells him that his decision to leave troubled him, Your undertaking / cast
my spirt down, I dreaded the outcome / of your expedition and I pleaded with you
/ long and hard to leave the killer be (1992 1995). Hygelac explains that he didn t
want Beowulf to go and fight Grendel in the first place. It can be inferred that
Beowulf went anyway because he wanted the reward and wanted recognition. If
Beowulf was the model warrior he would have obeyed Hygelac. The Anglo Saxons
put a very heavy value on comitatus and loyalty, so for Beowulf to disregard it,
shows that he is the opposite of the ultimate Anglo Saxon. When Beowulf finds out
about Grendel it says, He announced his plan: / to sail the swan s road and search
out that king, / the famous prince who needed defenders. (199 201). Beowulf hears
about Grendel and immediately decides that he will go and help. Comitatus makes
a warrior loyal to his king, not the prince of a different nation. By going over,
Beowulf shows that he cares more about a foreign leader than his own king.
Famous , is used to describe the prince. It can be inferred that Beowulf learned he
was famous and only went because he was hoping for a reward. Beowulf breaks
comitatus and has his loyalties crossed and broken, in the pursuit of glory

Kipling s Feelings About The Government
Kipling in his writing shows several hints about how he feels about the
government; the first obvious notice is this, The politics of Loaferdom that sees
things from the underside where the lath and plaster is not smoothed off. He s
hinting at the connotation that there are imperfections within the system that some
can see. Kiplings narrative not only shows a personal opinion, but also what some
people would contradict him with. Take Peachey and Dravot for instance, who one
not only said in a connotative way that he believes in is King, I greatly fear that my
King is dead, and if I want a crown I must go and hunt it for myself. This character

Trudging back to what the opinion is on different classes, later in the story the
main character addresses the different people that come into the newspaper
building, every dissolute ruffian that ever tramped the Grand Trunk Road makes it
his business to ask for employment as a proof reader. He does not believe people

Comparing Song Of Songs And Sappho s Love Poems
Both the Song of Songs and Sappho s love poems stem from the core concept of the
overall intimacy and indescribable nature of love. Both reach to describe love by
comparing to the beauty of nature and the underlying feelings presented by nature;
however, the two differ in their specific context of love. The Songof Songs covers
what would be today called the honeymoon phase where the loveis sweet, perfect and
what the world envisions, whereas Sappho takes the melancholic side of love,
focused on entrapment, and overall heartbreak. These differences create completely
different stories of love, one of life long happiness, and one of chasing love. The
Song of Songs develops a theme of love with its use of naturalistic comparisons.

Allusions to the environment are also present in Sappho s love poems, in fact,
using many of the same comparisons used in the Song of Songs, seemingly for the
same purpose; to paint a picture of love. Under the surface though, Sappho is
painting a beautiful picture of love to win over the help of Aphrodite to help
satisfy her need for a fulfilling love, as is a common theme in her poems. Present in
both Song of Songs and Sappho s love poems, is the comparison of the rushing
feeling of love to a stream of water, a protective, but fruitful apple tree, all placed
within a pleasant garden. The stream in the Song of Songs is a spring shut up (132),
representing a love that wishes to flow/be consummated, but ultimately cannot
because of societal limitations, whereas
The History Of Prehistory And History
According to the British historian E.H. Carr, The line of demarcation between
prehistoric and historical times crossed when people cease to live only in the present,
and become consciously interested both in their past and in their future. History
begins with the handing down of tradition . So prehistoryis the event that happened
during the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age. During the prehistoric era, a number
of inventions and discoveries arise. Therefore, during the Iron Age, the prehistory
gradually ended. After this era, everything that happened during prehistory is now
considered to be a history. Therefore, in order to preserve prehistory, it will be
recorded as a history. So now, the history contains the archeological materials and
fossils that existed during prehistoric era.
Both prehistory and history have a stringline difference because they are somehow
alike in their purpose and significance to the society. Prehistory that later became a
history provides us with details of how people lived to survive during those early
ages when there is no technological developments ... Show more content on

The Parable Of The Sower By Octavia Butler
The Parable of the Sower, written by Octavia Butler, is considered a science fiction
novel, classified as dystopian. This novel depicts a post apocalyptic world where the
United States has fallen into tremendous poverty. Crime, such as murder, rape, and
theft, run rampant to the point where no one is considered safe. The society in this
novelis completely destroyed. The foundation has crumbled socially, politically, and
economically. The citizens are left to fend for themselves in, what is now, a
ruthless nation with just a hint of civilized communities. Our sensible and above all,
brave protagonist, Lauren Olamina, is the heart of the story. She is one of the few
characters who can be identified through several viewpoints. Lauren s persona,
beliefs, as well as her actions allow her to be classified through four different lenses
such as classism, deism, fundamentalism, and, more accurately, humanism.
Classism is a prejudice where stereotypes, intolerance, and judgments are placed
upon people due to their rank in a class system. When you think about it, classism
is much like racism. However, instead of race being the issue, the socioeconomic
class is the primary target of abhorrence and bias. Lauren, being our protagonist and
heroine, is very much capable of exemplifying the ideology of classism. In the
beginning of the novel we are introduced to Lauren as a teenager who is growing up
in a gated, or walled, community outside of Los Angeles. Her community is literally
Rehabilitation Programs
Rehabilitation: Does it Work?
The idea that more effort should be made to reform offenders is a theme that that
been persistent throughout the history of American corrections. Rehabilitative ideals
have helped lead the way in the renovation of the correctional system.
Implementations of intermediate sentencing, parole, probation, and a separate
juvenile justice system were all part of the process. While the rehabilitation process
seems like the perfect plan to transform the incarcerated, can prisoners truly be
rehabilitated, or should punishment merely be retributive in nature? Looking at
Robert Matinson s theories in What Works? Questions and Answers About Prison
Reform while comparing it to other scholars with help to answer this ... Show more

First, there is discussion over theoretical issues most importantly, the assumptions and
propositions behind rehabilitation. Second, there remains considerable controversy
over program oriented matters surrounding the ways in which rehabilitation is
designed, implemented, and evaluated (Welch, 2011). Although it is a subject that
has caused much debate, many feel that rehabilitation should be available to all those
who are in need of it. Rehabilitation of prisoners should be a matter of high
importance in the sentencing when it comes to imprisonment. Prisons which are
established to keep the prisoners during the sentencing period should have an
appropriate mechanism to rehabilitate them with an effective system. Experts have
even argued that offenders can actually change for the better and become a
contributing member of society in a positive way.
With that being said, the rehabilitation processes has been tested for effectiveness on
many levels. One of the most dominant methods used for this testing the process is
the examination of program evaluation reports. Many of the reports showed that it
was not the program that was flawed; it was actually the evaluation research. Indeed,
buried deep in Martinson s (1974) article was his exposure of the regrettable fact that
many researchers had failed to follow rigorous scientific procedures while evaluating
these programs (Welch, 2011). The three outcomes include the program being seen as
Letter of Interest for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority
Dear Ladies of the Gamma Theta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority,
Incorporated: I am seeking membership into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority,
Incorporated because I want to grow and contribute my time and talent to an
illustrious, originating organization. I aspire to be a part of a sisterhood where I
can express myself, and have my skills nourished by prospering African American
women. This summer I was involved in a traumatic car accident and survived,
tragically two of my dearest friends did not. On the car third spin I squeezed my
eyes shut, and braced myself for a collision. Suddenly, the car jolted forward and
flipped. At that very moment I realized that I am here for a greater purpose, and
vowed to take the necessary steps to fulfill that purpose. God is not finished with
me yet, and I do not want to sit on my Lord. Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority,
Incorporated purpose is to be of service to all mankind dealing with critical issues
in communities domestically and internationally. What I have grown to understand
an envision a woman of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated to be, I accredit
largely to the ladies of the Gamma Theta chapter. This has the result of attending
many of the chapter s events during my time at Hampton thus far. One of my
favorite events was a screening of a documentary Girls Rising. I learned to
appreciate every opportunity to learn and gain knowledge because in some parts of
the world girls are restricted from receiving an education. A
Bruce Dawe Analysis
How often do we feel frustrated at how people are treated?
How many times do we feel stressed and stretched by the insane demands of the
modern world (and what it expects of us).Ladies and gentlemen these questions can
be confronted through the poetry of mid 19th century Australian Bruce Dawe as the
concepts he explores sare universal relating to a wide audience throughout all time
hence appealing to our contemporary audience today. Dawe s poems Enter so much
without as knocking and Homecoming explores the ideas of the bustle and stress of
modern life, the intrusion of media which fragments our social relations the
emotional trauma of family and the senseless nature of war through the
dehumanization of soldiers.I am professor Jessica Galazzo of literature at the
University of Canberra and I today present to you, the national library because i
firmly believe that Dawe has made a powerful impact and strong connection to a
contemporary audience.
Dawe s poem Enter without so much as knocking confronts us with bustles and
stresses of modern day life many aspects of which, which corrupts our childhood
innocence acknowledging Dawes powerful link to a contemporary audience. The
turmoil of the persona during their birth and upbringing in the opening stanzas
demonstrates the use of simple sentences which reflects the innocence of the child
before the stresses of his life begin to take over. In beginning of the poem the use of

Tokophobia Definition
What is tokophobia, and why is it a fear that I overcame? Tokophobia is known as
the fear of childbirth, and it was a fear that I overcame. Throughout pregnancy, many
women decided to research anything, and everything that could happen to you, or the
baby. Further along. into my pregnancy, I realized that I was starting to fear childbirth
. While I was pregnant fear overcame my body because, I was scared of the risk of
dying, the fear of something going wrong with me or the baby, and then how bad the
recovery would be. I had several fears throughout my pregnancy, but a tremendous
fear was the risk of losing my life. From the beginning until the end, this thought
was always in the back of my head. Another thing is you always see something
happen in movies, or on a show, you really do not know what to expect of
childbirth until it actually happens to you. However, my nerves started to calm
down, and I did realize that many women survive childbirth; and that I could top.
Once I did start to think positive thoughts it helped a lot. For me, it was after
having my son that I think I overcame the fear of dying, and if I ever had a second
child, I do not think I would worry so much about that.... Show more content on

For instance, you always have that fear in the back of your mind that there could
be something wrong with the baby. Of course, you never want that to happen, but
it was a huge fear of mine. Again, you do the research, and you hear the stories of
something being wrong with a baby. But for me, something before birth happened,
I was pregnant with twins, and I did lose a baby early in my pregnancy. After that,
the doctors reassured me because of that the other baby was perfectly healthy.
Another thing, I did was to stop looking on the internet, and to talk to my doctors if
I felt as if I had other questions. One last thing that helped me is when I saw my baby
and he was perfect in every
Canadian Politics In Western Canada
Introduction: Canadian politics has always been defined by the federal government s
interactions with the various regions and provinces within Canada. Over time,
Canadian politics has evolved to be focused on three individual issues: the federal
government s attempt to keep Quebec within the federation, the economic, political,
and cultural dominance of Ontario, and, from a Western Canadian point of view, the
subordination of the West. The popularity of the latter notion has become
increasingly prominent within the Western provinces over the previous decades, due
to the government s focus on the former two issues. And, for many Western
Canadians, their relationship with the federal government has largely been defined
around Ottawa s refusal... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Prior to 2011, the two wealthiest provinces in Canada were Alberta and
Saskatchewan, with British Columbia and Manitoba still wealthier than most of
Canada. And, much of this growth is fueled by oil revenue. As a result of this, much
of the equalization program is paid for through the contributions from the Western
provinces, with Alberta paying the highest per capita contribution in the country. In
comparison, central Canada has become reliant on these equalization payments, with
Quebec, the single largest beneficiary both in the calendar year as well as all time,
receiving 8.552 billion dollars in 2010. And, while Ontario had once been the largest
contributor to the program, in 2010 they became reliant on equalization funds from

Review Of The Wrath Of Jupiter
The Wrath Of Jupiter
It started out, a normal day. I was going to the fields, like usual. My wife, Fabiana,
wanted to say good bye. Unlike most Roman marriages, we truly loved each other.
Every day I left for work she would be right there saying good bye. So far she hasn t
missed a single day. I see you are already heading out , she said. Well I want to earn
some extra money this BC , I replied. I know , she said a little upset, but I know
that you re just trying to help this family. The baby is on the way and you re right
on one thing, we need extra money. I knew she d understand. I sometimes thought
that me and Fabiana were a little peculiar because of the things we did. We were the
only ones that married for love ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was about half way through the day and we had already gotten half of the fields. I
still had half the day to go but when I d get home I d get one of the best meals I d
ever have when I ever I d get home. I started to notice that it was getting darker. I
looked up and I saw that the sky was 1 spontaneously darker and filled with clouds.
That s when somebody yelled at the top of their lungs, JUPITER IS ABOUT TO
STRIKE!!!!!!!!!!!! IT LOOKS LIKE IT S GOING TO HIT THE SPRING!!!
EVERYBODY RUUUUUUUN!!!!!!! That s when chaos broke loose. Everybody
was running to their homes, so they could get to cover, especially in the fields. But
I wasn t worried about getting to cover, I was worried about Fabiana. She was at
the spring and if she didn t get to cover, I don t know what I ll do. I was running to
the spring as fast as I could. I started to think that if I lost her, I wouldn t only lose
her, I d loose my new baby too. I wasn t going to lose her. I wasn t going to lose
everything. I had ran for a while until I finally saw the spring. There she was,
standing there. I yelled her name a couple of times until I caught her attention. She
started running towards me and I ran to her. We were so far away from each other,
but I just knew that we would make...BOOOOOOOM!!!!! The ground shook as I
flew to the ground. I woke up
The Key Of A Well Oiled Team
The key to a well oiled team is a mix of diverse personalities. No matter the type of
organization, it is essential each person who belongs to it blends well and does their
part to better themselves as a whole. There are a million types of teams, from
football to dog racing and everything inbetween. My dogteam consists of four
fantastic dogs, each of which have their own spunky personalities. Boss, a man of
wisdom, is the eldest of all the others. Monster, is a vicious licker and will cuddle
people to death. Cinno (Ch EEN Oh) is the wild child, the one who is always
wreaking havoc. Last but not least, D.O.G (Dee Oh Gee), the youngest and most
hardheaded dog on the team. Every team needs someone to lead them and show
them the way, typically it is the oldest or the one with the most experience, which
is why Boss is my leader. He is at the front of my line, teaching the younger dogs
and providing them with a good example to learn by. At home, he is a joyful dog
and loves to be pet, but when Boss is at races, there is no fooling around. He is
there to race and finish the job. Boss is so focused on the race when I am
harnessing him. He does not make eye contact with me, he stares at the sled. I
imagine he is envisioning himself crossing the finish line in first place. When I try
to fire him up by petting him, he simply wraps his leg around mine and holds me
there. Boss s name suits him perfectly. He acts like he is the boss of the team.
During hook up, it is easiest to attach

No Peace for the Middle East
Since its inception the State of Israel has been at war with the Arab countries
surrounding it. Dating back to biblical times when the Israelites left Egypt after two
hundred years of bondage there, they began forty years of wandering the desert in
which they encountered many enemy tribes such as their sworn enemies, the
Amalekites. Thousands of years later, the Arabsand Israelis are still fighting. The
State of Israel began with the War for Israeli Independence in 1948. Israel has kept
on fighting ever since. Over the lengthy span of time in which Israel has been at war
with the Arabs, the people of Israel and the Palestinians have developed a deeply
rooted hatred for one another. Terrorism has been... Show more content on

In December of 1988 Yasir Arafat recognized the right of The State of Israel to exist
(Friedman XIV). Not long after, talks of peace between the Palestinian Liberation
Organization (PLO) and The State of Israel ensued. In September of 1993 the
Arab Israeli conflict took a sudden twist. Yitzhak Rabin (Prime Minister of Israel at
the time) and Yasir Arafat (leader of the PLO) flew to Washington D.C. for the
signing of an historic peace accord in conjunction with President William Jefferson
Clinton. This was just the beginning of Israeli Arab peace talks for years to come.
In July of 1994 Rabin signed a treaty with King Hussein of Jordan. This treaty
declared peace between the two countries as well as set the foundation for economic
collaboration (Encarta Middle East?. Peace talks are still going on now between the
Arabs and Israelis.
Aside from political peace, there are a few organizations which promote Arab Israeli
melding within the younger generations. There is one program that takes children of
both cultures to Massachusetts to practice classical music. Through art, music, sports,
and other hobbies, children of the two cultures are coming together and attempting to
form a common bond (Israeli Embassy Pamphlet 7). All of these various methods of
peace have been made possible by the technological advances of the past century.

Confucianism, Daoism, and Legalism
In ancient China, many different rulers tried to unify and rule the country using a
variety of methods Confucianism, Daoism, and Legalism to name a few. Each
philosophy had its own set of rules of how people should act both in public and
privately. The overall goal of each philosophy was to set a standard of acceptable
living that would ensure harmony and success for the society. However, each was
different and thus had different results. The best way for the people of Chinato
succeed in a harmonious, respectable society occurred when both Confucianismand
Legalism were combined.
Confucianism resulted from a Chinese philosopher named Kongfuzi (551 479

If there is dissent and it is not dealt with using corrective measures, then the
government, and thereby society, will fall apart. One such example of this can be
found in the Han Feizi document. It says, The law alone leads to political order. If
laws are adjusted to the time, there is good government. If government fits the age,
there will be great accomplishment. Therefore, when the people are naГЇve, if you
regulate them with fame, there will be good government; when everybody in the
world is intelligent, if you discipline them with penalties, they will obey. While
time is moving on, if laws do not shift accordingly, there will be misrule; while
abilities are divers, if prohibitions are not changed, the state will be
dismembered...Indeed, if the state is orderly, the people are safe; if affairs are
confused, the country falls into peril...Yet everybody s likes and dislikes should be
regulated by the superior.
It is no surprise that the philosophy of legalism did not last long. Once the emperor
died, people began to dissent and voice their opinions of being treated in such a
manner. The next emperor, Emperor Gaozu of the Early Han Dynasty, determined
that by combining Confucianism and Legalism would ensure a more accepted and
obeyed political system. By allowing the people to follow certain rules that
prescribed their status obligations while altering the laws created by Legalism, the
society ran more smoothly for

Analysis Of Sandra Cisneros s Woman Hollering Creek
Women in a typical Hispanic culture usually desire an image they want or expect
based on the media. For example, when it comes to relationships the media portrays
the ideal image of a marriage and then women have an expectation, as in the short
story Woman Hollering Creek , by Sandra Cisneros. Cleofilas, the Protagonist, moves
from her known household in Mexicoto Seguin, Texas to get married to Juan Pedro.
Her hometown in Mexico is very similar to where she is now in Seguin. Cleofilas
meet two people in the neighborhood, Dolores and Soledad, who depended on their
husbands for everything so when they lost their husbands it had a major impact on
them. On the other hand, Cleofilas also meet two other women that are completely
different from Dolores and Soledad because Felice and Graciela do not have to
depend on men for anything. In addition, Felice and Graciela have a huge impact
in Cleofilas life because they are able to help her escape her miserable marriage.
Cleofilas bases her whole life on a Mexican romantic telenovela, but instead her
whole marriage is a catastrophe because her husbandabuses her. In Cleofilas new
town there is a creek called WomanHollering Creek that runs from her new
hometown to the city. The creek has a symbolic meaning for all the women that she
meet throughout her journey of realisation because her whole life is based on it
being like a telenovela, but at the end it all changes. Cleofilas realises her life would
not be like a telenovela and
Nora Sakari
Nora Sakari case analysis
1. Why have the negotiations so far failed to result in an agreement? Is the formation
of the JV between Nora and Sakari the best option for both companies to achieve
their respective objectives?
Ans. Part 1: Negotiations to date between Nora and Sakari have failed mainly due
to a mutual ignorance of one another s cultural norms. One of the key reasons for
failed to result in an agreement is that there is huge gap between what Nora and
Sakari can sacrifice to successfully negotiate the contract with each other. Following
are some example proving how far they are from the real contract.
Sakari proposed an equity split in the Joint Venture(JV) Company of 49 percent for
Sakari and 51 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And Nora alone cannot provide this without Joint Venture with either Sakari or any
other digital switching technology provider.
To materialize the negotiation with the Sakari, we (Nora) will accept the Sakari s
proposal about the technology and salaries and perks of the Finnish expertise.
Beside this, we will propose different place either in Asia or in Europe for future
conflict resolution. Not only this but also a third country will be chosen as a venue
for the possible future conflict. Beside this, 40 to 60 percent of equity ownership
will be proposed to ensure the relative control of the both parties in JV Company.
Some of the reasons why I will prioritized the negotiation with Sakari if I were
Zainal is that Sakari is one of the globally popular companies in terms of creating
joint ventures and to successfully enter the new markets through JV. Sakari was the
leading telecom company in Europe and had experience using high technology to
enable small country to have a fast growing economy. Nora was looking to do the
same thing in Malaysia if given a piece of the contract. Malaysia had adopted the
British system and Sakari, unlike other corporations could make the components
customized. (Lander, L. amp; Clark C.) Furthermore Sakari has technology called
SK33 which can be use with
A Ball Of Twine Analysis
A ball of twine. A packet of gum. A spelling medal. These are just some of the
many things Boo Radley left Jem and Scout in the hole in the tree. Before Nathan
Radley put cement in the tree, the best part of Jem and Scout s day was finding
one of these treasures in the tree. If I were able to give gifts to Jem and Scout
through the tree, I would give them gifts that would encourage them to follow their
dreams and make them happy. Throughout the book so far, we have learned that
Jem has a passion for football. If I were able to give him a gift through the tree
hole, I would give him a football. Hopefully, this would encourage him to keep
playing football. For Scout, I would give her a baton. Scout was very excited when
Jem bought the baton

  • 1. Essay Questions For Macbeth Crafting an essay on the topic of "Essay Questions for Macbeth" can be a challenging endeavor, requiring a delicate balance of literary analysis, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of the play. Macbeth, a complex and multi-faceted tragedy by William Shakespeare, demands a nuanced exploration of its characters, themes, and the intricacies of its plot. One of the difficulties lies in navigating the vast array of potential essay questions. Macbeth is a rich source of themes such as ambition, power, guilt, and the consequences of unchecked ambition. Selecting the right question involves careful consideration of personal interpretation, ensuring that the chosen topic allows for a thorough exploration of the chosen theme or aspect of the play. Furthermore, delving into the characters of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth requires a keen understanding of their psychological evolution throughout the play. Analyzing the motivations behind their actions, the impact of external influences, and the consequences of their choices adds another layer of complexity to the essay. The ability to seamlessly integrate textual evidence to support arguments is crucial. This task demands a close reading of the play, identifying relevant quotes and passages that not only illustrate key points but also demonstrate a profound comprehension of Shakespeare's language and style. • 2. Chase Bank Career Path Organizational Structure and Your Career Path An organization that I admire and would like to work for in the future is Chase Bank. The most admirable quality of this financial institution has to be its leadership during the financial crises of 2008. Through great task delegation and resource management, this company was able to circumvent detrimental events which could have led to bankruptcy. Since, I am interested in working for a financial institution such as Chase Bankand I am following the educational steps that reflect this desire, it would only be appropriate that in the future a joining of interests from Chase Bank and myself would take place. With further education in finance, I see myself developing a strong foundation of knowledge... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, it would be a mistake in the current banking industry to partake in expressive leadership, which takes into account as a high priority the employee s emotional wellbeing (Prodanciuc, 2012). This kind of leadership is not nearly as crucial in current circumstances so far underlined. In order to solve compliance issues what is needed is an instrumental leadership style which engages in strict task delegation. This is why I would be an instrumental leader (Prodanciuc, 2012). Not only would job clarity be of utmost importance, but goals would be reached in a timely manner. Measuring Risk at Financial Institutions The idea of risk is used in many fields and industries. There has been large efforts made towards the understanding of risk. Since, risk varies so much depending on the field of study, the need for learning about it is warranted. As can be imagined, the importance of risk in a market economy is crucial. In the 1990s, JP Morgan made the Value at Risk (VaR) a central component of its work efforts (Cecilia Nicoleta, Anne Marie, Carmen Maria, 2011). After that time, VaR has become embraced by the Governing Bodies overseeing the world bank. In essence, VaR measures the probability of loss or gains related to capital stock. Furthermore, the understanding of the chance of loss or gain can be extended over the economic life of a project (Cecilia Nicoleta et al.,

  • 5. tennis paper There are several different aspects of playing and improving your tennis game. Different strokes, rules, boundaries and many other aspects make up the game of tennis. Over the next few pages, I will do my best to explain the forehand and backhand stroke, the serve and volley, the rules of tennis, and without a doubt the grandslam. The forehand stroke is the most popular in tennis. Stand facing the net, knees slightly bent, weight evenly distributed and forward on the balls of your feet. The racket is held in front of your body, elbows in close and parallel to the ground. The racket is supported with your free hand. From the turn position, the racket goes back until it is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Volleys hit in front of your body use very little effort and most of the time are winners. Prepare quickly with a compact back swing. Flex your body and knees to get down to the shot and stay there through the stroke. Move the racquet head smoothly to lift the ball over the net. Let your racquet continue naturally in the direction of the ball. The whole point of the volley is to move your opponent from front to back court. In turn, you will have a better chance of placing the ball as far away from your opponent as possible. There are a few basic rules to playing the game of tennis. Though rules can change a little with singles and doubles match ups, the rules are for the most part fairly general. The Court shall be a rectangle 78 feet (23.77m.) long and 27 feet (8.23m.) wide. When a combined doubles (see Rule 34) and singles Court with a doubles net is used for singles, the net must be supported to a height of 3 feet 6 inches (1.07m.) by means of two posts, called quot;singles sticks quot;, which shall be not more than 3 inches (7.5cm.) square or 3 inches (7.5cm.) in diameter. The centers of the singles sticks shall be 3 feet (.914m.) outside the singles Court on each side. For the Doubles Game, the court shall be 36 feet (10.97m.) in width, i.e. 41/2 feet (1.37m.) wider on each side than the Court for the Singles Game, and those portions of the singles side lines which lie between the two service lines shall be called the service side lines. • 6. A Person s Environment Is The Same Opportunity At The End... Every person struggle is different. Some have worked sweat and tears for their achievements while others have had things just handed to them and do not really know the struggle of hard work. Some people work as hard as they can and at the end of the day, they still cannot seem to succeed, as they would like to. They can work hard, live a good legal life, and yet still cannot make ends meet at the end of the day. The film Trading places, and the Not everybody in America has the same opportunity to be successful because one person s environment may be much rougher than another person environment. A person s environment is a key factor in their success. A person born into poverty is going to have a much harder time to get ahead than a person that is born into a wealthy family or environment. It is as if they are already in a negative situation before they even have a chance to begin life. A person born into poverty doesn t have that extra time to do homework at home because they might have to be home taking care of other siblings while guardians are at work. Sometimes they might not even be at home babysitting; they might have to get a job themselves because the money situation is so tight at home. While a person born to a wealthier family has that extra time to study, that person has the extra time to participate in extracurricular activities that might be a key to success. They do not have to worry about little things, which allow them to concentrate all of their time,
  • 7. Customer Relationship Management ( Crm ) At Harrah s Company Harrah s Company has taken the Hospitably Industry to a whole new level. Companies want to get more information about their customers behavior and build a lifetime relationship. After a long research, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) at Harrah s came to consist of two elements to implement marketing tools and programs across all Harrah s properties; Database Marketing(DBM) and the Total Gold Program. Harrah s established Database Marketing in 1997. Under this program customer will get a Gold Card to be used while making any transaction at any Harrah s properties. The question rose, is the marketing program successful? After analyzing the exhibits at the end of the study case, I concluded that the program was successful. From Exhibit 1 it seems clearly that the profits nearly double from year 97 to 99. From Exhibit 2b, it seems that 50% of the new customer that were giving the card came back in the next three months. From exhibit 2c, the loyalty customer visiting the casino more frequently after receiving offers. Also, from exhibit 2d, the loyal customers spend more hours and spend more money after receiving offers. Using CRM in the gaming industry as marketing tool can account for strength and weakness. Some of the strengths under the data collection through the programs are: customization of customer service, Coding Customers, Targeting Customers, sharing customer information within the organization, improving cost management and increase profitability. • 8. Metis Struggle for Self Identification Essay Metis Struggle for Self Identification One of the most contentious issues in Canada s history is that of the Metis. Some people feel this unique group of people does not deserve any sort of recognition, whereas others believe their unique history and culture is something to be recognized and cherished. The history of the Metis people is filled with struggle; not only struggles against other powers, but also a struggle for self identification. Despite strong opposition, the Metis people of Canada have matured as a political force and have taken great strides towards being recognized as a unique people. The most sought after reason for the envy was because of the jobs they were offered. If they were able to read and write, they were in huge demand at one of the trading companies. Some would follow in their fathers footsteps and become trappers and traders, a few Metis would even become chiefs of Indian tribes , because of their knowledge of the white man. The circumstances that existed at this time encouraged the Metis people to begin to formulate their own identity. In the early parts of the 17th century, France created the Voyageur system . Voyageurs were labourers who would transport trade goods between First Nations peoples and the French trading posts . They functioned under very strict French and Church law. Eventually, several European and Metis individuals and groups began to trade without the French state s approval. These traders were called couriers de bois and were vilified by both France and the Church . Since the couriers de bois acted as free agents, France, and later England, could not profit from transactions made by the couriers. To counteract the loss in potential revenue, strict measures were created to prevent the couriers de bois from doing any business. These strict measures were called the conge system, this was a licensing system where by not more than seventy five traders would go to the west each year . Many traders were arrested, and often, were saved only because of strong ties
  • 9. The Parthenon Sculptures Should Be Returned to Greece The Greeks finished building an exquisite temple to their beloved goddess, Athena in the year 432 BCE. (Sayre 60). The name of this enriched, unique temple was the Parthenon. The Parthenon took the Greeks approximately fifteen years to complete and as Pericles stated, it was built to give gratitude to their goddess Athena for the salvation of their city, Athensand all of Greece in the Persian Wars (Sayre 60). It was also a symbol of their power and superiority among other cultures. It was something the Greeks took great pride in and recognized it to a great extent. The Parthenonwas built on the highest point of the city of Athens to look over the precious Greek city. On the exterior walls of the Parthenon there was beautiful artwork that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore, I strongly believe that these exquisite sculptures need to return to where they were originally built, in Greece. As I mentioned, this is an extremely controversial topic that has raised a lot of difference in opinions. Furthermore, I must admit that those arguing for the sculptures to remain in Britain do make some interesting points that plenty of people have taken into consideration. One of their arguments is that the sculptures were already in a damaged and fragile condition, and leaving them in Greece would have destroyed them completely ( The Parthenon Marbles: Refuting the Arguments , par 6). In the YouTube video, Parthenon Marbles Debate , one of Tristam Hunt s arguments is if the Greeks are able to acquire their historic artwork, this may cause other countries to demand their historic artifacts as well, not just from the British Museum, but from museums all over the world as well. I can see the counter arguments that this controversy issue involves. However, regardless of whether they were in a horrible condition, the Greeks were never consulted, nor did they have a say regarding the selling of this artwork to Elgin. Now, when it comes to everyone claiming and demanding they receive their ancient artwork, like historian Hunt said; this is true. It can happen, but I don t believe that any other artifacts have the amount of significance that these sculptures do. The Greeks worked their hearts

After reading the three articles, I understood that the AACN, Carnegie and IOM recognized the importance of nurses to further their education in order to achieve patient centered care, practice safety, and provide quality of care with better patients outcomes. I realized that there was an overlap between the reports and the need to address more complex issues in nursing. In fact, the AACN first came out in 1965 to advocate for nurses to at least complete their baccalaureate degree before entering practice in order to fulfill their role in health promotion and disease prevention, case management, and managed care settings (AACN, 2000). The Native people gave the American people many problems when they came to settle in the New World. Most of these problems included the Natives capturing Americans and keeping them as hostages during the wars. Depending on the reasons why these Americans were captured and who captured them, depended on what kind of experience these Americans would have during their captivity. The Americans experiences would also depend on what gender they were and that would determine how they were treated and what role they would play in the tribe. After her capture, she was used as a slave for a chief named Weetamoo. While she was a slave for Weetamoo, she had many horrible experiences with him and his tribe. These experiences were due to her gender role as a woman. The natives treated woman with little to no respect, usually denying them food and shelter, like in Mary Rowlandson s case. Because Mary had all these bad experiences with the Natives, she began to call them savages and tell how awful they treated her all because she was a woman. Like Mary Rowlandson, James Smith was captured during a war between the Natives and Americans. James Smith was a part of a wagon trail building team along with three hundred plus men. The wagon trails him and the other men were building, were used for them to travel to their American tribes during the wars to trade and have shelter. While James was going through the trails to check on some of the group members, he was captured by Natives. Like Mary Rowlandson again, he was one of the only ones on the trail building team to survive as a hostage. James Smith was very lucky to be spared, because Natives thought that white men should be sacrificed and die when they are captured. James s life was only spared because he made it back to their tribe without lagging behind. This meant a great amount to the Natives, therefore, they made James into their own and initiated him into their tribe with what he thought was cruel

Farinelli showed off all the sweetness of his voice wherever he traveled and was rewarded with roars of applause. During this period of time, he did no wrong. He was famous beyond belief, a formidable performer, and had honors upon honors. One of his most famous performances involved him having a duet with a trumpet that turned into a duel. Porpora, who was his teacher, spoke about the event: During the run of an opera there was a struggle every night between Farinelli and a famous player on the trumpet [...] After severally swelling a note in which each manifested the power of his lungs and tried to rival the other in brilliancy and force, they had both a swell and shake together, by thirds, which was continued so long [...] that both seemed exhausted; and, in fact, the trumpeter, wholly spent, gave it up, thinking, however, his antagonist as much tired as himself [...]; when Farinelli, with a smile on his countenance, showing that he had only been sporting with him all that time, broke out all at once in the same breath, with fresh vigor, and not only swelled and shook the note, but ran the most rapid and difficult divisions and was at last silenced only by the acclamations of the audience. Eminent Domain Should Be Used For The Good Of Mankind Essay Imagine getting a visitor at your front door, and the visitor offers you a very generous amount of money for them to take you property for public use. For some people it is the property they grew up on, and for others it is the property that has been passed down through family generations. That is what happens when private propertyowners experience eminent domain. Eminent domain can be a wonderful thing for big companies and powerful leaders. On the other hand, people lose their homes, or perhaps their farmland. Those who offer eminent domain often have big plans that can benefit a community, but the huge loss here is people losing their homes. Most companies will only enforce eminent domain if they have no other choice. Other companies do it purely for themselves. Eminent domain should be used for the good of mankind, because it has the power to put some good places in this world if done correctly. Doing some research on eminent domain I came across the April 2010 issue of the Yale Law Journal. One of the notes in that issue mentioned the history of eminent domain, and it was called Eminent domain due process by Zachary Hudson. Hudson talks about how after eminent domain was founded; it was argued that it the power of eminent domain was or was not in the Constitution. Hudson says that Congress did not pass a statute authorizing the use of eminent domain more generally until 1867 when it did so to aid in the development of national cemeteries following the civil war

In the two novellas No One Writes to the Colonel and Chronicle of a Death Foretold, Garcia Marquez ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Colonel and his wife consequently starve in order to maintain the honor given by the rooster. They conceal this humiliation of poverty by giving a false illusion of who they are to their neighbors. The Colonel believes that starvation is necessary as long as they are honorable to the liberal party and their son. The wife of the Colonel states I [place] stones on to boil so the neighbors wouldn t know that we often go with out food for days (159). The Colonel s wife feels humiliated that they have to live in poverty to maintain honor. In a moment of doubt the Colonel s wife states to the Colonel you can t eat dignity (160). Then the author uses a brief interruption in the setting to show incorrectness in the wife s comment. Garcia uses the interruption of lighting to show that what the wife said was wrong and that lying and maintaining their honor is the most important thing to do. This same idea that maintaining honor can cause a person to live a life of lies is seen in the novella Chronicle of a Death Foretold. The whole town covers up and lies about being involved and having any information about Santiago Nasar s death. They do this because they want to honor the Vicario family by making the murder look justifiable and a strict matter of family honor. The narrator states that, affairs of honor are sacred monopolies, giving access only to those who are part of it
  • 33. Example Of Superhero In Beowulf Imagine a superhero, believed to be the bravest and greatest role model. Everyone looks up to that superhero and wants to be like him. Some would say that the superhero is the model person for how society should act. But then, one day people found out the superhero was a fraud; he was not actually a good role model and was all for show. In the poem, Beowulf, translated by Seamus Heaney, Beowulf is a character who is the same fraud as the metaphorical superhero. It is seen through his brash decisions that he values glory and personal achievement, and lets his ego dictate the decisions he makes, and how he lives his life. While Beowulf seems like the model Anglo Saxon, he is in fact driven by his ego and pursuit of glory. Because of this he breaks comitatus and is the opposite of the ultimate Anglo Saxon. Beowulf is the opposite of the ultimate Anglo Saxon because he goes against comitatus and ignores his king. When Beowulf returns to Geatland, Hygelac tells him that his decision to leave troubled him, Your undertaking / cast my spirt down, I dreaded the outcome / of your expedition and I pleaded with you / long and hard to leave the killer be (1992 1995). Hygelac explains that he didn t want Beowulf to go and fight Grendel in the first place. It can be inferred that Beowulf went anyway because he wanted the reward and wanted recognition. If Beowulf was the model warrior he would have obeyed Hygelac. The Anglo Saxons put a very heavy value on comitatus and loyalty, so for Beowulf to disregard it, shows that he is the opposite of the ultimate Anglo Saxon. When Beowulf finds out about Grendel it says, He announced his plan: / to sail the swan s road and search out that king, / the famous prince who needed defenders. (199 201). Beowulf hears about Grendel and immediately decides that he will go and help. Comitatus makes a warrior loyal to his king, not the prince of a different nation. By going over, Beowulf shows that he cares more about a foreign leader than his own king. Famous , is used to describe the prince. It can be inferred that Beowulf learned he was famous and only went because he was hoping for a reward. Beowulf breaks comitatus and has his loyalties crossed and broken, in the pursuit of glory

The Songof Songs covers what would be today called the honeymoon phase where the loveis sweet, perfect and what the world envisions, whereas Sappho takes the melancholic side of love, focused on entrapment, and overall heartbreak. • 39. The History Of Prehistory And History According to the British historian E.H. Carr, The line of demarcation between prehistoric and historical times crossed when people cease to live only in the present, and become consciously interested both in their past and in their future. History begins with the handing down of tradition . So prehistoryis the event that happened during the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age. During the prehistoric era, a number of inventions and discoveries arise. Therefore, during the Iron Age, the prehistory gradually ended. After this era, everything that happened during prehistory is now considered to be a history. Therefore, in order to preserve prehistory, it will be recorded as a history. So now, the history contains the archeological materials and fossils that existed during prehistoric era. This novel depicts a post apocalyptic world where the United States has fallen into tremendous poverty. Crime, such as murder, rape, and theft, run rampant to the point where no one is considered safe. The society in this novelis completely destroyed. The foundation has crumbled socially, politically, and economically. The citizens are left to fend for themselves in, what is now, a ruthless nation with just a hint of civilized communities. Our sensible and above all, brave protagonist, Lauren Olamina, is the heart of the story. She is one of the few characters who can be identified through several viewpoints. Lauren s persona, beliefs, as well as her actions allow her to be classified through four different lenses such as classism, deism, fundamentalism, and, more accurately, humanism. Classism is a prejudice where stereotypes, intolerance, and judgments are placed upon people due to their rank in a class system. When you think about it, classism is much like racism. However, instead of race being the issue, the socioeconomic class is the primary target of abhorrence and bias. Lauren, being our protagonist and heroine, is very much capable of exemplifying the ideology of classism. In the beginning of the novel we are introduced to Lauren as a teenager who is growing up in a gated, or walled, community outside of Los Angeles. Her community is literally
  • 41. Rehabilitation Programs Rehabilitation: Does it Work? The idea that more effort should be made to reform offenders is a theme that that been persistent throughout the history of American corrections. Rehabilitative ideals have helped lead the way in the renovation of the correctional system. Implementations of intermediate sentencing, parole, probation, and a separate juvenile justice system were all part of the process. While the rehabilitation process seems like the perfect plan to transform the incarcerated, can prisoners truly be rehabilitated, or should punishment merely be retributive in nature? Looking at Robert Matinson s theories in What Works? Questions and Answers About Prison Reform while comparing it to other scholars with help to answer this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... First, there is discussion over theoretical issues most importantly, the assumptions and propositions behind rehabilitation. Second, there remains considerable controversy over program oriented matters surrounding the ways in which rehabilitation is designed, implemented, and evaluated (Welch, 2011). Although it is a subject that has caused much debate, many feel that rehabilitation should be available to all those who are in need of it. Rehabilitation of prisoners should be a matter of high importance in the sentencing when it comes to imprisonment. Prisons which are established to keep the prisoners during the sentencing period should have an appropriate mechanism to rehabilitate them with an effective system. Experts have even argued that offenders can actually change for the better and become a contributing member of society in a positive way. With that being said, the rehabilitation processes has been tested for effectiveness on many levels. One of the most dominant methods used for this testing the process is the examination of program evaluation reports. Many of the reports showed that it was not the program that was flawed; it was actually the evaluation research. Indeed, buried deep in Martinson s (1974) article was his exposure of the regrettable fact that many researchers had failed to follow rigorous scientific procedures while evaluating these programs (Welch, 2011). The three outcomes include the program being seen as
