1.1INTRODUCTION
Peri urban is a term often used in literature texts concerning town planning and urban
growth, yet there is a need to properly define the term and what constitutes its
existence. In certain texts, peri urban areas (PUA) are identified by their proximity to
the city and as such PUAs are also known as the urban fringe, hinterlands and
transition areas. Such proximity is caused by the physical expansion of a city s
physical boundary into adjoining regions. Physical expansions in such manner could
stem from urban growth, economic growth and relocation of industries.(Lacquinta
and Drescher 2000)
Peri urbanisation may become the dominant 21st century challenge for regional
and city planning and design. The peri urban is a zone of social and economic
change and restructuring, a zone of intensive and sometimes even chaotic
development. It is not just an in between or edge space at the urban fringe; rather it
is a new kind of hot spot multi functional landscape for urban renewal and
development (Kjell Nilsson et al 2014) and according to OECD (1979:) the impacts
of economic growth and physical expansion of the urban area are not

The Rolls Royce is a large aero engine manufacturer company that implemented
various operational strategies to improve and meet their market demands. However, it
was some time after the acquisition of Allison Engine Company (total new market for
the company USA) that forced the company to search for new internal management
operational approach. The overall motive was to obtain a new structure which would
allow the company to focus more on manufacturing engines and less on internal
management operations and decision making. In effort to meet the market demands,
the company sought an operation system more adequate to the type of organization.
Henceforth, the Rolls Royce Company embraced the ERP system. Yusuf, et al.
(2004), stated that the ERP aims to integrate business processes [such as
manufacturing, finance, procurement and distribution] through the support of an
integrated computer information system [connected by interfaces] (Yusuf, el al 2004,
pp 252). Another initiative of the organization was to have external outsourcing
company; EDS Company to assist in the implementation of the new system. The main

is able to change his presence. He is the god of the underworld, god of the afterlife,
god of transition, resurrection, and regeneration. After death Egyptians believed that
their soul will be judge in front of the Ambush and Osiris. Where they will weight
their soul against a feather and depending on the weight the gods were able to come

Many people today receive mail in various of ways. Today, many people receive mail
by phone or computer, but most of us get our mail by letter/card and people believe
that the mail is a piece of paper in an envelope that s harmless and safe to handle

The Christian Martyr By Gabriel Von Max
For my observation essay, I chose the piece The Christian Martyr by Gabriel von
Max, which is on display at the Frye Art Museum, it is oil on paper, painted in 1867.
I find this piece illustrates multiple principles of design the ones standing out most
clearly to me being balance, implied line, and emphasis through repetition. Hue,
saturation, and value play into most of these principles as well. A strong sense of
balance is created by the elements of the piece, namely the horizonsplitting the
painting nearly in half with a lightgray on top, and a dark brown on the bottom.
Value plays a an important role here, as the lower value of the brown causes the
piece to feel heavier while the higher value of the gray has the reverse effect,
making it feel much lighter. The fact that the gray fills comparatively more space in
the piece creates a visually striking balance. As the gradient progresses from very
light gray to a darker gray, as it nears the horizon line, it contributes to the sense of

Johann Sebastian Bach and Franz Liszt were both renowned for their keyboard
proficiency and talent for composing. Bach was born in Germany and influenced by
the Baroque period when music was centered on religion. Liszt was Hungarian born

Most of life s moments have little import. Each day often screams no more of
significance than the day preceding. There are a few moments throughout life that
manage to contain, within themselves, the power to change the course of one s life,
but more often than not, the moments we give importance to are fairly trivial events,
changing or altering nothing more than any other day. We find that those more
common moments are created by culture, cultivated in a society that believes that
