Special Considerations for Branch Office Deployments
Microsoft has identified a number of special considerations for deploying Active Directory in
branch office environments. The characteristics of a branch office environment include:
В• A large number of physical locations that need to contain replicas of Active Directory data. В• A
small number of users per location. В• A hub and spoke network topology where many branch
offices rely on connectivity to a centralized hub site for communications to other parts of the
organization. В• Slow network connectivity between the branch office locations and the hub site.
Because of the ramifications of these requirements, Microsoft has developed additional content
focused on deploying Active Directory in branch office environments. The Active Directory Branch
Office Planning Guide is available on line at http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/techinfo
/planning/activedirectory/branchoffice/default.asp. This content is designed to be used together
with the Best Practice Active Directory Design for Managing Windows Networks guide as needed.

College Retirement Benefits
As college quickly approaches, the financial decisions I constitute today will affect me for the rest
of my life. As a young adult with minimal financial experience, one uneducated decision could
establish a precedence of financial insecurity for the majority of my young life. Consequently,
planning a budget and savings plan will immensely benefit my future spending and saving habits.
Another decision is how to independently manage my personal income and my spouse s student
loans. Lastly, contemplating the later years of my life propagates the necessity of a retirement plan
and investing.
Ten years from now, I will sustain a stable career as a physical education teacher and an assistant
college softball coach earning approximately $50,000 a year. I will have graduated from college
approximately six years prior and plan to have my college debt paid off. I m constructing the
presumption that I will be in a stable relationship, living with my significant other, and
contemplating marriage. After my spouse and I have been married for two years, I plan to assist
them with their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, a large university such as the University of Alabama costs around $40,000 for
someone who lives out of state. Private schools may cost even more, severely restricting payment

graduating. You will have enabled yourself to become financially secure long before your peers
and coworkers are. Therefore, you can go on vacation, pay for the car you want, and potentially
buy the house you ve always wanted by saving the money you would have been paying off your
student loans with. Lastly, paying your way through college teaches you to be financially and
personally responsible. It allowed you to learn to balance your time and finances at a young age,

Fifth Business by Robertson Davies
Boy Staunton, the antagonist in the novel Fifth Business by Robertson Davies, is a very successful
business man. Boy Staunton is motivated by self distraction in life which he believes will rid
himself of remorseful feelings. Although it may appear that he is living the dream, the guilt from
traumatizing childhood events slowly torture and eventually destroy him. Boy s decision to commit
suicideis greatly influenced by Mary Dempster, Leola Cruikshank and Dunstan Ramsay because
they are constant reminders of his mistakes and failures. At the age of ten, Boy Staunton and his
best friend Dunstan Ramsay, began to fight after a day of sledding. Boy accidentally hit a
pregnant woman, named Mary Dempster, when Dunstan dodged his snowball and caused the
woman to go into premature labour with her son, Paul. Dunny dealt with the guilt by supporting
Mrs. Dempster whereas Boy ignored the whole situation completely. When Dunny brought up
the snowball incident years later to Boy and Paul, Boy realizes that he is responsible and now
has to deal with this guilt. When Paul said, You have no recollection of Mrs. Dempster? Boy
responded with, None at all. Why should I? (Davies, 267) this quotation truly emphasizes how
dismissive Boy is about the incident. Boy is motivated by self distraction so he does not let his
faults linger and get in the way of his success. As a child, his parents contributed to his success by
building up his confidence so events like this would not destroy

The View Of The Leaning Process
The leaning process is very complex but my philosophy of learning is founded on a relationship of
credibility, knowledge and, escalation of mental grows. Some of the greatest minds are true
fundamental to my statement such as Socrates the Greek philosopher and the main source of
Western thought; The English physicist and mathematician Isaac Newton, most famous for his law
of gravitation, was instrumental in the scientific revolution of the 17th century; Italian scientist and
scholar Galileo made pioneering observations that laid the foundation for modern physicsand
astronomy and ; Albert Einstein was a German born physicist who developed the general theory of
relativity, among other feats. He is considered the most influential physicist of the 20th century.
These scientists are the inspiration to my philosophy.
The importance of credibility
The knowledge base of a person can be corrupted by an outside influential(s) that could hinder the
knowledge material transmittable to other(s). This knowledge could be influence negativity
without notice by the transmitter or facilitator some examples are; any kind status, fallacious
knowledge, religion, political agenda, even sexual orientation. Knowledge that is infected by any
negative influences is neither valid nor reliable. Therefore, credibility it is violated. Socrates the
pioneer of seeking knowledge he used to go to the streets and just talked to people just to learn
something new. Socrates asked a methodical series

The Catcher In The Rye By JD. Salinger
Do you think that the catcher in the rye is still relevant to teens nowadays? I dont give a damn,
except that I get bored sometimes when people tell me to act my age.Sometimes I act a lot older
than I am I really do but people never notice it. People never notice anything. In the novel The
Catcher in the Rye written by JD Salinger the main character Holden Caulfield feels isolated and
also has a lot of trouble interacting with people such as adults and even teens that are his age due
to the terrible death of one of his brothers that was caused by leukemia. We believe that the
catcher in the rye is still relevant to teens nowadays because lots of teens suffer of many things
such as family loss, bullying, and depression that would cause suicidal thoughts. Last but not least,
Holden also had the problem of not wanting to become an adult he just wanted to stay as a teen
forever which also affected him on not being able to really interact with adults.... Show more

for one person who he actually didn t really judge or talk bad about which was his little sister
Phoebe, throughout the novel Holden actually tells us how much he appreciates and loves his little
sister Phoebe. There s one point in the novel where he s having a conversation with her and she
points out to him about having problems with not liking anything that revolves around him. For
example on page 169 of the book Phoebe says Holden you don t like anything that s happening!
Which shows us how Holden really didn t get much involved with anything around him. After she

Vimy Ridge Essay
In January of 1917, the 50th battalion headed north to Artios, France, the location of Vimy Ridge.
Vimy ridge was a very important battle for the allies as holding the location would give them a
great vantage point that overlooked the vast network of trenches on either side and No Man s
Land. It was even more important to the CEF and Canada, as it was the first time they received
worldwide recognition, they were no longer seen as an afterthought of Britain. It was crucial that
the allies win this battle. The next months were spent preparing and going over strategy. During this
time, Colonel E.G. Mason was transferred to another battalion and replaced Lieutenant Colonel

during the battle of Vimy Ridge where Henry was finally recognized for his contribution to the
war. On April 14th, 1917 he was rewarded the Military Medal for his help in capturing the
pimple. His official award citation says that, Norwest showed great bravery, skill and initiative
in sniping the enemy after the capture of the Pimple. By his activity he saved a great number of
our men s lives. He was very deserving of this honor, as in this battle he achieved the sniping
record for his battalion. During his three months at the Vimy Ridge he was credited with 59
kills. Due to his humble nature he only ever claimed a kill when he was with his spotter so it is
very likely that he had even more. The battle of Vimy Ridge is one the most famous battles of
World War one as it was very important for Canada in defining the identity. It was also very

Effects Of The Media On Society
Chapter 3: Effects of the Media Though war contributed to changes in society, the media was the
driving factor behind changes including the fixation with beauty among women. Magazines had the
ability to perpetuate the already emerging ideals. The idea of self improvement became a very
popular topic in the 1920s seen across all women s magazines, contributing to the progression from
the middle class women to the New Woman. This New Woman was one of beauty and fun with
admiration and lasting popularity as stated in International Women s News magazine, promoting
fragrances that made such claims. The emergence of products and methods to attain the arising
beauty standards fared well in combination with advertisingthat enforced fears and vanity
associated with such.
Change in Beauty Standards: Topic sentence? Products such as reducing belts and slimming baths
were advertised to reduce body weight. With more leisure time after production and integration of
automated machines (is this supporting opposition?) books and magazines were in every
household. The best seller diet book written by Dr. Lulu Hunt Peter, Diet and Health, the Key to
Calories, was popularized as the body image of women was brought to the forefront of their minds.
This idea known as scientific homemaking was used by advertisers to convince women of how they
should feel, and thus change their consumerism habits. Advertising of the 20s had shifted from
portraying delicate ladies to the fun New

The Problem Of Induction, Inductive Reasoning, And Weather
The problem of induction, inductive reasoning, and weather or not nature is uniform, are questions
that have been raised by many a great philosopher. Induction, and Inductive reasoning is when you
make observations of past events and occurrences and base your knowledge on those observations.
From these observations you make generalizations, the problem with inductive reasoningand the
problem with induction is that, your observations generalize and assume, sometimes too much,
sometimes on a very limited number of observations which is not necessarily enough to assume
that you are in fact right in knowing about a certain thing. Imagine all the swans you had ever
seen or heard about were white, and you had never seen or heard of a black swan before. You
would then assume and think that there were only such a thing as white swans, and rightly so, but
does this mean there is no such thing as a black swan? No, it just means there has not ever been a
black swan that you have seen or heard of, but because of inductive reasoning, and your own
observations you could make a false claim. The claim that there are only white swans. Inductive
reasoning also assumes that because a sequence of events has happened in the past they will again
in the future, this is called the uniformity of nature, The sun is an example of this, it rises every
day and sets every night, and it has done so since the beginning of time. Therefore, due to the sun
rising and setting in the past, due to inductive

Leadership is one of the most important aspects of running organizations as it contributes the
overall strength, wellbeing, and success of an organization. Without leadership and management,
assurance of standards and regulations of care would falter. Lack of an authority presence could
lead to some nurses or other healthcare team members providing inconsistent care, as well as a lack
of organization and direction within the units of the hospital. In the hospital, nurse leaders and
managers play a vital role as they help successfully run units, guide nurses in successful practice,
empower others to strive to reach goals, while also maintaining strict standards and acting
accordingly by serving out appropriate repercussions and consequences... Show more content on

Effective nurse leaders within a CAS demonstrate the ability to be flexible, adaptable, and creative
affording leaders to become competent in innovation and creating dynamic changes within the
system (Weberg). The article, Addressing LeadershipGap in Healthcare , also identifies 16 qualities
of effective leaders. These qualities range from building relationships by knowing how to build and
maintain working relationship with co workers and external parties, leading employees , change
management with the use of strategies to illicit effective change, self awareness , and
resourcefulness ( Addressing Leadership Gap in Healthcare , 2011). The 16 qualities outlined
permit leaders to establish a style of leadership that better addresses CAS, the external environment,
and developing interconnectedness within the system, all of which allow for a better, stronger
organization.
There are many different leadership models from which leaders can base their leadership on,
however, there are only a certain few which are able to answer to healthcare CAS, one of which is
complexity leadership. The complexity leadership model provides a framework for healthcare
leaders based on collaboration, complex systems thinking, and innovation mindsets.
Collaboration is one component of nursing leadership in healthcare CAS. Collaboration involves

Human Age Estimation from Facial Images Using Artificial...
Introduction
Face Images convey a significant amount of knowledge including information about identity,
emotional state, ethnic origin, gender, age, and head orientation of a person shown in face image.
This type of information plays a significant role during face to face communication between
humans [1]. Above prospects of facial images can be used in emerging branch of Human
Computer Interaction (HCI). Human age has following characteristics: Aging is uncontrollable

Photo indexing: Automatic indexing of photos is possible based on the age of a person. Missing
individuals: reliable prediction of one s appearance across ages has direct relevance in finding
missing individuals. Age based access control: developing systems which provide age specific
access to an individual at sites like security offices, military areas, social networking, etc. Other
common places: Age estimation system can be helpful at various locations like hospitals, police
stations, banks, government offices, educational institutes, sport events, etc.
Related Work
Various image processing researches related to face have been of keen interest since a long time.
From past decade, though the study related with respect to aging pattern and age estimation has
become important, it is still very challenging. Mostly age estimation is done using shape patterns of
face or using facial texture information such as wrinkles.
Existing methods for facial age estimation typically consists of 2 main steps: image representation
and age prediction [3]. The general models used for representing images are Active Shape Model
(ASM) [4], Active Appearance Model (AAM) [5], Craniofacial Growth Model [6], Aging Pattern
Subspace [2], Manifold Learning [7] whereas for age estimationmulticlass classification problem or

O Brother Where Art Thou In Homer s The Odyssey
There are many reasons to believe that O Brother, Where Art Thou is a movie based upon the
events that took place during Homer s The Odyssey. The Odyssey is a story about Odysseus and
his adventure home after the Trojan War. O Brother, Where Art Thou was about the journey of
Ulysses and his two partners escaping from prison. Both Odysseusand Ulysses were trying to reach
home so they could see their families again. The blind man on the railroad tracks toward the
beginning represented the blind prophet Teiresias. Both prophets give bad news. Odysseus is told
it will take him many years to reach home. Ulysses is told he will not reach the treasure he seeks.

Religion represents the Lotus Eaters. Pete and Delmar were drawn in from the baptism at the
river and became extremely religious afterward. This is much like the Lotus Eaters drawing in
Odysseus men. Baby Face George Nelson and his obsession with killing cows represents Odysseus
men killing Helios cattle. The women singing on the river and drawing the men toward them are
just like the Sirens in the Odyssey. Big Dan, the man who tells Ulysses and Delmar that he is a
pastor is representing the cyclops. Big Dan is a giant man who wears an eye patch so he really only
has one usable eye. Big Dan is angered just like the cyclops and he goes on a rampage. He kills the
toad that is believed to be Pete. This killing represents the cyclops killing some of Odysseus
men. Ulysses, Pete, and Delmar all dress up as the KKK to escape Big Dan just like Odysseus and
his men hide under the sheep to escape the cyclops. Ulysses and Odysseus also have personal
similarities. Ulysses wife tells the children that Ulysses was hit by a train just like Odysseus was
supposedly killed in war. When it comes time

The Disappearance Do Not Write Here Have you ever heard of the Mafia? Do you know what they

Jimmy Hoffa s disappearance is still yet to be discovered as you are about to learn background.
Hoffa was born to a poor coal miner in 1913. Born in 1913 to a poor coal miner in Brazil, Indiana,
Jimmy Hoffa proved a natural leader in his youth. (History.com) This quote is helpful because it
states what Hoffa grew up with. Hoffa had started a labor strike at the age of 20 years. At the age
of 20, he helped organize a labor strike in Detroit, and remained an advocate for downtrodden
workers for the rest of his life. (History.com) This quote ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hoffa had been on the phone with his wife the night he disappeared. On this day 40 years ago,
former Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa called his wife, Josephine, from a pay phone in
Bloomfield Township to say he had been stood up at an afternoon meeting with two mobsters.
(usatoday.com) This quote digs right into the passage. One theory states that the Mafia killed Hoffa.
The main one presented to a grand jury was that the Mafia killed to prevent him from disclosing
mob infiltration of the Teamsters, including its tapping into the union s pension fund to finance
its rackets. (usatoday.com) This quote proves that Hoffa was important because people were
involved with the grand jury! Investigators believe that no one will be blamed for Hoffa s death.
The list of people who have reliable information is really short. You could probably count them
on one hand with a couple fingers left over. I think it s extremely unlikely that there will be any
new developments in the case. (usatoday.com) This quote leaves you on a cliff hanger. In
conclusion, it is not proved that the Mafia killed Hoffa. Investigators are still searching. Have you
learned more than what was known at the beginning of this passage? Since reading this passage,
you know that more has been stated and learned. In conclusion, Hoffa has not yet been found for
40 years. People still search for him to this day. Throughout all of this,

beginnings in Nabta Playa to today s influential Black innovators, this museum provides realistic
recreations of both the plights and triumphs of African Americans through their And Still We
Rise exhibit. Following the initial summaries of pre colonial African history, the cruel realities
of the African Slave Trade was represented by a pair of shackles and a yoke, both used to prevent
escape by captives. Next to the artifacts was a life like setting of a slave roped to a tree, forcing
one to think about brutal realities of slavery. Further in the exhibit,

In this study, we aim to study the association between environmental exposures to lead in children,
living in the vicinity of the lead and zinc smelters in TorreГіn, Mexico, and heart rate variability.
Methods
Study participants
The data used in this analysis was collected as part of the Cuida tu Corazon ( Take care of your
heart ; C2C) study, which was carried out primarily to evaluate the association between heavy
metals and measures of cardiovascular and renal function in older children who are living in
Torreon, Mexico, in the vicinity of the Met Mex PeГ±oles lead and zinc smelters. We used a
census developed by the Health Department of the State of Coahuila to identify children aged 12
15 who had with at least one measurement of blood lead level prior to the who aged 12 to 15 years
at the time of the study (2009 2010), which was 6,254. We stratified this group bby quintiles of
earlier blood lead levels and randomly selected children individuals from each 5 blood lead levels
strata to achieve a representative sample of lead exposures with a final study size of target sample
of 512 participants.
Sample size and power calculation
The sample size was calculated so that study hadwill have a greater than 90% power to detect an
increase in outcome (log heart rate variability measures) of 15% of their standard deviation or
greater for each doubling of blood lead exposure levels. This was based on blood lead levels in the

Taking a Look at Soil Depletion
With the constant overuse of the soil negative effects started to appear regarding the soil and the
soil s fertility. As farmers introduce the chemical fertilizers to their crops they seldom know that
they are decreasing the soil s fertility level and in return increasing the acidic levels, this is due to
the fact that chemical fertilizers cause the soilto turn acidic (Missouri Botanical Garden). Plants
grow best in neutral soils so when the soil turns acidic due to the implementation of chemical
fertilizers farmers add more chemical fertilizers to help the next yield of crops grow thinking
that the soil needs more nutrients and N P K when in reality all it needs is a little time off to try
to recuperate itself naturally. Sadly, sometimes in the end the soil is no longer able to grow
anything. The great amounts of fertilizers that are being used result in the soil turning into a
desert; literally, this process is desertification. Desertification is just that, the process in which a
healthy fertile soil turns into a dry infertile desert and once the soil reaches this state it is very
difficult to restore it back to the healthy soil it used to be but it is not impossible. A great role
model that helped proved this statement was the great Aldo Leopold. Leopold was a scientist that
after experiencing a sudden change of thoughts; after looking inside a wolf s eye, wrote about the
importance of being one

Resistance to Change in Organizations
BOTH ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS RESIST CHANGE. WHAT CAN BE DONE TO
OVERCOME THIS RESISTANCE?
It s not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most
responsive to change. ~ Charles Darwin Organizational changes are changes that are made in the
overall framework of a company, such as restructuring in departments, changes in policies, or
changes in culture. It directly affects all departments, from the entry level employee to management.
Any business in today s fast moving environment that is looking for the pace of change to slow is
likely to be sorely disappointed. In fact, businesses should embrace change. Change is important for
any organization because, without change, businesses would ... Show more content on

Aside from individual resistance, organizations as a whole also resist changes. Some organizations
are so designed that they resist new ideas. The major reasons for this type of resistance are : threat
to power; upper management considers change a threat to their power, authority and position. They
fear that new policies imposed for instance by the government, may result in them losing their
status. Also implementations such as participative decision making and self managed work teams
affect their purpose.
Additionally, companies resist change in their organizational structure. Especially bureaucratic
structures where jobs are narrowly defined and flow of information is stressed to from top to
bottom. This is usually because change in one part of these structures cant happen without causing
disruption in all levels.
Other popular reasons to resist change are resource constraints and sunk costs. If employees do
accept change, organizations must have the resources to accommodate the new changes. For
example if training agents are hired, the company needs to have sufficient financial resources to
pay them and also pay their employees. If they are not equipped with enough resources, they will
resist change. Also, it creates a problem for top management because a lot of capital would have
already been invested in fixed assets and training for employees for their current jobs.

The Adaptation Of The Leopard Gecko
The Evolution of the Leopard Gecko One of the adaptations the the Leopard gecko has is its
defence mechanisms. The Leopard gecko is able to cut portions of its tail off in order to distract
predators while they make their getaway. If a predator catches it by its tail the gecko can release
the part that is captured. And while the tail is disconnected it wiggles around for a few minutes
as another way to distract the predator. Its tail will grow back in a month or so, but the tail will
not look the same as it did before. The Leopard gecko have 100 teeth which they replace every 3 to
4 months. The teeth are obviously used to eat their food which consists of crickets, roaches,
grasshoppers, waxworms, mealworms, super worms, other insects.

Frankenstein Summer And Winter Setting Analysis
Brimming with depictions of desolate land and the stunning beauty of the mighty Alps, the setting
in Frankenstein by Mary Shelley irrefutably plays a significant role in the novel. Through analyzing
the function of the country, one can better understand the characters and the themes Shelley
presents to her audience. Contrary to popular belief, the country, in this work, does not merely
represent a place of peace and contentment. Instead, vivid descriptions of nature, which are only
found in the country setting, exemplify feelings and foreshadow events that occur within the novel.
There is a very stark contrast between the seasons in Shelley s novel. The transition between
summer and winter reveals important insight on Victor Frankensteins

Back To School Research Paper
Back to School: Decorating your Dorm Room Decorating your dorm room can be a challenge.
Not only are they tiny, but the existing color scheme and layout can be rather boring. Creating a
comfortable space takes some creativity, but your hard work will definitely pay off. In the end,
your decorated dorm room will make you feel at home and can make you more productive at the
same time. Here are some ideas and tips to help get you started with your back to school, dorm
decorating project. Wall Murals or Tapestries One of the best ways to liven up your dorm room
walls is with wall tapestries or murals. This is a way to make your room look bigger and will allow

However, there are some creative ways you can create a headboard for the existing bed. With a
few standard items, like cardboard and fabric, you can create a temporary headboard that will
help make your dorm room feel more luxurious and homey. In reality, designs like this one take
very little artistic ability and are easy and quick to complete. Soften the Floors Most dorms have
wooden or concrete floors. This is great because they don t stain and it is pretty easy to clean
them. However, these floors are also cold and unwelcoming. To soften them up some, think
about investing in an area rug. These rugs come in a variety of shapes, sizes and designs, which
make them a perfect option for the small floors that are associated with a dorm room. You can
even go the extra mile and coordinate them with all the other fantastic things you are adding to
your room. Choose Bold Colors If your dorm doesn t already have a desk and chair, you should
consider going with a bold color choice. Since dorms are normally pretty plain, having a great color
desk or chair can help liven up the room some. You can also add pops of color to the room by
throwing some brightly colored pillows on your

Review Of Google s Writing And Seo Blog
Review and SEO blog post Over the past several years, Google has made multiple changes to the
way we see search results. However, these changes are not always made so clear and could have
a major effect on companies or individuals looking to optimize your SEO efforts. When Google
decides to update its algorithms, these changes can vary in how major the updates are but each
one of them has the chance to crush your SEO optimization. In 2009, during their Searchology
conference, Google introduced one of their newest ideas which was rich snippets. Rich snippets are
additional details about regarding specific pages in the search results. Ever wonder why people
started seeing reviews for their products directly in the SERP? Well this is the exact reason why. A
review is simply a person s evaluation of something. For Google, this can apply to several things
including a business s specific domain or a certain product of theirs. Google displays two separate
forms of reviews when it comes to rich snippets. The two different types of reviews in Google s
search results pages are critics reviews and review snippets. Review snippets are generally an
average of all of the combined rating scores from reviewers. This allows you to gauge how your
product or business is viewed within a larger audience range. Not only will Google show you text
to go along with the review, but it will also be represented on a numerical scale such as 1 5 or 1 10.
Review snippets are available for local

Chivalry Compared To Today
Chivalry was designated for knights as a moral code or law for them to abide by, but sadly has
been slowly being brushed under the rug by their following generations. Growing up I was taught
certain aspects of a new hybrid of the Code of Chivalry such as courtesy, honor, humbleness,
respect, and proper manners. Chivalrysince medieval times has slowly dissipated into almost
nothing compared to today. Now I am not suggesting that these traits have been lost indefinitely but
they have certainly minimized. Parents are not teaching their children to be polite or use proper
manners. Those traits are something I would like to thank my father for instilling in myself. I hold
courtesy, honor, humbleness, respect, and proper manners highly because many people respect that.
So how exactly did these values change me? These imperative values changed and... Show more

When you fall in love for the first time you think you are high in the sky (and no, not in that

by my side. Finally, someone understood my bad jokes and weird sense of humor. It was the best

We have met for six years, he was in the same school as me and he later confesses to me 3

were together for two years as an official couple.
Unfortunately, it didn t last long. He had a friend who spent a lot of time with him, and I guess
that little by little he started to get feelings for her, he did the right thing and told me about it
before he could cheat on me. We end up on good terms and till this day we talk to each other as
good friends because either way our relationship at that point (last few months) felt empty and it

Analysis Of Magnetic Resonance Imaging ( Mri ) Based Three...
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) based three dimensional reconstruction has been used
successfully to evaluate the female pelvic floor muscles and tissues in women with and without
pelvic floor dysfunction [1, 2]. Furthermore, MR based 3D reconstructed models have been used to
generate finite element and element free computational models suitable for simulating vaginal child
birth [3, 4], offering insight into risk factors for childbirth related pelvic floorinjury. The Finite
Element Method has also been used to evaluate anterior vaginal wall support, and the mechanisms
underlying cystocele formation [5]. Precise segmentation of pelvic magnetic resonance images
(MRI) is an important step in building the three dimensional (3D) reconstructed structural models
suitable for computational analysis. Segmentation consists of outlining each organ or tissue of
interest from the underlying grayscale images on each slice in the dataset.
The 3D reconstructed models are currently generated from manually segmented label maps, which
currently require multiple hours of tedious manual segmentation to produce each reconstructed 3D
model. This manual segmentation bottleneck limits the number of computational models that can
be reliably produced in a timely manner, thereby limiting the number of study subjects available for
the kind of statistical comparisons that can potentially lead to clinically meaningful insight. In
addition, the structures of the female pelvic floor are very complex

My Career Path For A Teacher
On October 21, 2015 my cooperating teacher mocked me in front of my class. You see I was the
student teacher in a second grade classroom at Charles Olbon Elementary School. After class I
went home, locked myself in my bedroom and I started pondering my future and my career path.
I thought I would not be a good teacher, why did I choose this career path? I choose this path
because my friends and family saw me a teacher, but I guess they do not know the real me. In 2003
at the age of ten years old I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. My father saw me down at the
kitchen table and strongly advised me to go into an easy profession. He instructed me to become
a teacher, therefore I mindlessly agreed to his requests. Then when I entered college, I did not
enjoy the teaching classes and I told my friends, family, and fellow teachers. However everyone
told me the similar line: you will make a great teacher, you re just nervous cause you re almost
graduating, just stick it out and get your degree. I listened to others while ignoring my inner voice
and passion. Now fast forward to October 23 25th I ended up skipping student teaching to go into
the city for Robert McKees Story and Storynomics seminarclass. I consider myself a happy go
lucky person who is a positive thinker and dreamer however on this particular day when my mom
dropped me off at the bus station I was in a depressed state of mind. The night before I stayed in
my bed didn t eat dinner, and I just cried

buyers] give positive satisfaction ratings for their Keurig Brewer (GMCR, Annual Report, 2009,
p.10). This rating of consumer satisfaction shows that GMCR s focus on convenience and
consistency in their marketing is very effective. GMCR has achieved this success by initially
marketing its Keurig office brewers to business and hotel targets. Since then, GMCR has created at
home and travel Keurig brewers at lower prices along with a new vending program that allows them
to target commercial and manufacturing environments (GMCR, Annual Report, 2009). With its
transition into the growth stage, GMCR has promoted its products primarily by expanding into new
retail stores such as Walmart, Target, Macy s, and Bed Bath Beyond; holding massive sampling
events; and expanding its television advertising to include QVC, ABC, CBS, NBC, and the Food
Network (GMCR, Annual Report, 2009). This intensive distribution will provide GMCR with the
ability to reach new segments while supplying the huge demand accompanying the growth stage.

of perfect equality. An example of such the Lorenz curve is presented in Figure A 1. In Figure A

Point B shows that the share of the total income going to the bottom 80% of the households

The Charge of the Light Brigade and Attack Essay
The Charge of the Light Brigade and Attack The Charge of the light Brigade by Alfred Lord
Tennyson and Attack by Siegfried Sassoon are two very dissimilar poems. Both of them are on
the same topic of war but have many contrasts in how they treat the subject matter, war. The main
difference between these two poems is the audience that they were written for. Tennyson, as poet
laureate, was written for public reading, but Sassoon s work which showed more emotion and
feeling, was therefore more of a private poem. The poems tone and mood are very different.

While time ticks blank on their busy wrists. The language in the two poems is different. The
poets use different literary terms. Tennyson begins his poem by using anaphora in the opening
lines, Half a league, half a league, half a league onward. Anaphora is the repetition of certain
words or words to obtain a rhythmic pattern. In this historic war, the men charged at the enemy
guns on horseback, so this repetition in Tennyson s opening lines could be associated with the
sound of galloping horses. Tennyson uses this again when he writes, Cannon to the right of
them, Cannon to the left of them, Cannon in front of them. Tennyson also uses rhetorical
questions in his poem, for example, Was there a man dismay d? and When can their glory fade?
These are questions to which no answer is required, and add dramatic effect to the poem. Then
he uses the phrase, The Valley of Death, to describe the valley in which the charge took place.
This phrase is taken from the Bible ( Psalm 23). In other translations of the Bible ( The Good
News Bible), it is translated as, the deepest darkness . Tennyson uses it with dramatic effect as if
the men were ordered to go into the deepest darkness to charge down the cannons. During the
Victorian period of history the Bible would have been important to the Victorian people and so the
poem appealed to their cultural knowledge. Tennyson also uses other terms to

Disruption Of Gender Roles In Macbeth
In Shakespeare s play, Macbeth, Lady Macbeth s portrayal begins with the dominant elements of her
ambitious and successful plotting of Duncan s demise from the throne and the effective rhetorical
manipulation of her husband to be more like a man. This disruption of gender roles presented in
Macbethis demonstrated through Lady Macbeth s place as the dominant role in their marriage;
because on many occasions, she rules her husband and dictates his actions through coercion. This
shows that genderis out of its traditional order, and by Shakespeare associating her with
traditionally male imagery, he is showing that masculinity is linked to power and ambition in
society.
Because she is portrayed as the more dominant individual in their marriage,

Concerns are often raised about the appropriateness of human specimens in a class environment.
However, staff at the UCL Pathology Collection have found that children are not so much
frightened or disturbed by the specimens in the collections, rather they are intrigued and wish to
understand more about health issues and specimen collecting in the past. In this sense, pathology
collections can be a key way of presenting health concerns through object study, away from a
dependence on photography and diagrams in text books. Children in particular have been shown to
respond well to learning through object handling. Specimens and objects relating to the history of
medicine have been identified as having an almost unique ability to profoundly impact upon

Anyways, another character that completes the essence of the story is Inspector Javert, the stalker .
He spent most of his life wandering everywhere just to capture Jean Valjean. He s so pathetic that

How Slavery In Africa Changed Over Time Essay
Africa was once a thriving and wonderful continent filled with luxurious and wealthy kingdoms,
but that had all changed when a new and appalling type of slavery was introduced. Around the
18th century, Africa became an ideal place for Europeans to trade and buy slaves from. The slave
trade in Africa seemed to be manageable and somewhat peaceful before the Europeans brought in a
new type of slavery. When the Europeans bought slaves from Africans, they kept them as slaves

Buckets were placed in these compartments for bathroom uses and other necessary uses (). Slaves
that were placed far from these buckets had difficulty in reaching them because of the number of
other slaves around them (Falconbridge, 1788). This situation would cause slaves to release
themselves where they were and would cause several health issues and diseases to arise
(Falconbridge, 1788). Later on in his account, Falconbridge describes the upkeep of the slaves
on the voyages. The slaves were usually fed twice a day, but on most other ships they were only
fed once (Falconbridge, 1788). Their food would be severed in small buckets and slaves would
be placed in groups of ten for each bucket (Falconbridge, 1788). Upon the Negroes refusing to

resistance of the obligations of eating, slaves were extremely punished for disobeying and these
punishments were severely cruel and inhumane. Slaves were forced to obey the slave owners no

Viruses, Antibiotics, And Antibiotics Essay
Diseases are humans enemies. There are million kinds of diseases among the world. Some of them
were created by ever changing human activities; some of them cause infections by microorganisms,
such as viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites. Those tiny things are truly annoying to us when we
suffer sickness. They could even be fatal to us. If we want to cure ourselves effectively we will
have to kill them and inhibit their growth using the drugs called antibiotics . Antibiotics are great
against these infections, but they are not perfect. Pathogenic bacteriagradually evolve to survive in
different environments just like the ways all creatures do. Though we can kill most of them after
using antibiotics. A little group of them still live and become resistant to the antibiotics aimed at
killing them. They multiply their population and create stronger bacteria in order to keep on
infecting us. The bacteria s ability of fighting with antibiotics is named as antibiotic resistance.
Antibiotic resistance does not evolve frequently. However, due to the rapid social development,
more and more bizarre diseases are appearing around us. The diversity in the standards and
perceptions of living has brought us bunch of consequences, including the illogical treatments
toward illness and pharmaceutical production. Many people don t know how to use drugs correctly
or refuse to do so; some industry owners know how to properly manage their production lines but

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Vesicles
Vesicles are spherical aggregates composed by amphiphilic compounds where the lipid bilayer
surrounds an aqueous void volume, which can be loaded with almost any variety of water soluble
marker molecules. Therefore, the vesicles may contain both lipophilic and water soluble
substances. Phospholipids form vesicles being also the fundamental matrix of natural membranes
and represent the environment in which many proteins and enzymes display their activity [1, 2].
Moreover, phospholipids present advantages over synthetic materials including lack of toxicity,
biodegradability and biocompatibility. Consequently, vesicles are utilized as versatile carriers in the

analytical features of the AuNP synthesis (irradiation time, HAuCl4 concentration), these AuNP
were immobilized onto vesicles structures composed by the phospholipid DOPC (1,2 Dioleoyl sn

Sean: Hey newbie! He calls me that when he is either drunk or wants to get me mad. Well, tonight
he was a bit tipsy from the words he spoke.
Nate: Sean, can t wait to get out there on the field and make my country proud. I replied ignoring
his newbie taunts.
Sean: You still a kid in the game. I will advise you not to jump in front of a bullet because of this
your zeal. He said laughing as we packed our bags into the waiting room which we nicknamed Hell
passport office.
As we hopped into the waiting military trucks to the cheers of the other soldiers, I felt a sought of
fulfilment. Sean led us in a military styled version Psalm 23. We all recited it with more vigour
and enthusiasm. As we journeyed further into the war zone, gunshot sounds, RPG s and grenades
rented the air. I already had cold feet, and deep down in my mind, I wished it ... Show more content

I couldn t really feel my arms due to all the gun handling and shootings. We retired to sleep while
the other batch took over at the war front. Sean and his friends entertained us with stories from
their past war experiences before we all fell asleep. The early morning whistling from our troop
commander woke us up from our slumber. Sean and I quickly rinsed our face as we headed out
with the others to receive the instruction for the day. That day, we were to attack the hideouts of
the terrorist in the main city. Sean and I were assigned to the same team which at least made me
happy. We boarded the bus that was to take us to the town as we waved goodbye to the other troop

Analysis Of Love The Way You Lie
Love The Way You Lie, is a song sung by Eminem featuring Rihanna. Eminem, born as Marshall
Bruce Mathers, is an American rap musician from Missouri. Eminem had a rough life, being
raised only by his mother and constantly moving schools. He would always be beaten up and
did not have great marks, however he was always good at English and would even study the
dictionary. He took his knowledge of words and brought them into his passion of hip hop, which
then started his career in rap. As his career was taking off, he got into bad habits, personal
struggles and addictions. In 2010, he managed to kick his addictions and bad habits, and make the
album, Recovery. In this album, he rapped about his struggles in order to help others, Love The
Way You Lie was one of the songs in this album. Eminem

Eminem with his ex wife, Kim Mathers and Rihanna with her ex, Chris Brown. The meaning of the
song is that a couple constantly argue and physically hurt one another, but always go back to each
other as they are still in love. Though Eminem s and Rihanna s past, it makes the meaning much
more powerful.
This song is full of multiple literary devices such as hyperboles, metaphors, and imagery. The
hyperboles in the song emphasize strong feelings such as love, hate, and pain. For example, Just
[going to] stand there and watch me burn (Rihanna, 1), is emphasizing that she is in extreme
amounts of pain and all that her significant other is doing, is watching her suffer. You ever love
somebody so much you can barely breathe when [you are] with [them] (Eminem, 33), emphasizes
and how he is so in love with

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Parent Staff Communication
The main weakness of this study is the fact that the study is exploratory. There was no control
group to compare scores of the PROMIS or PSS NICU. This study just shows how scores went up
with length of NICU stay. However, this does provide another instrument that can be used to assess
parent health. Parent Staff Communication Wigert, Delienmark, Bry (2013) explored the strengths
and weaknesses of staff communication in the NICU. They gave 270 parents a 16 question survey
with answers using a Likert scale. A common statement from most parents was that they had
received information from nurses and doctors and when they did the information was easy to
understand. Some parents felt the staff did not understand their situation. There was a significant
difference at the .05 level between parent communication with nurses versus doctors (Wigert, Blom,
Bry, 2013). There was also some poor information giving between nurses, showing a lack of
communication between nurses. Doctors and nurses were continuously seen as professional. This
study had a decent size sample and a consistent survey for all parents to take. There was a look at
communication between hospital staff regarding patients. As well as, a comparison between
doctors and nurses. This gave this study some unique factors not seen in other studies. When
looking at doctor versus nurse communication and communication between hospital staff seeing
what parents felt while at the hospital with their child. Doing a

Effects of Meditation on the Brain
Mindful Meditation and the Brain
Some view meditation as new age, hippie nonsense because it is not a social norm to sit in silence
and dig beneath the surface of the mind. Others liken it to tuning an instrument before playing it. I
subscribe to the latter; nonetheless, meditation is an ancient practice that can be traced back 2,500
years. However, neuroscientists are just now beginning to measure the effects that it has on the brain
. While there are many types of meditation, they all have the same function; reaching an internal
state of consciousness in which one is attending to a specific focal point. The content of this paper
will be predominantly about mindful meditation and how it positively affects the brain. The process

All meditators performed better than the control in their ability to detect stimuli indicating that both
groups developed a heightened attention as a result of their practice. Results also showed that
mindful meditators were significantly better at detecting unexpected stimuli, compared to the
concentration group (Valentine, 1999).
Another study was done during a three month silent retreat to see if mindful meditation can
increase the ability to identify both stimuli in rapid succession, essentially reducing the trend
known as attentional blink (Slagter, 2007) As cited by Slagter, attentional blink refers to an
inability to perceive a second target in rapid sequential visual presentation of stimuli, if a first target
was detected within a brief window of time, (500 milliseconds) preceding the second target
(Shapiro, 1997). Research indicated that meditators showed less of an attentional blink response
than non meditators after the three month retreat. Electroencephalography (EEG) signals revealed
that the individuals that performed the best on the attentional blink task also exhibited the least
amount of brain activity at the start of the first stimulus. This implies that those individuals were
able to allocate their attentional resources evenly which is in co ordinance with their hypothesis
that mindful meditation reduces attentional blink.

  • 5. Fifth Business by Robertson Davies Boy Staunton, the antagonist in the novel Fifth Business by Robertson Davies, is a very successful business man. Boy Staunton is motivated by self distraction in life which he believes will rid himself of remorseful feelings. Although it may appear that he is living the dream, the guilt from traumatizing childhood events slowly torture and eventually destroy him. Boy s decision to commit suicideis greatly influenced by Mary Dempster, Leola Cruikshank and Dunstan Ramsay because they are constant reminders of his mistakes and failures. At the age of ten, Boy Staunton and his best friend Dunstan Ramsay, began to fight after a day of sledding. Boy accidentally hit a pregnant woman, named Mary Dempster, when Dunstan dodged his snowball and caused the woman to go into premature labour with her son, Paul. Dunny dealt with the guilt by supporting Mrs. Dempster whereas Boy ignored the whole situation completely. When Dunny brought up the snowball incident years later to Boy and Paul, Boy realizes that he is responsible and now has to deal with this guilt. When Paul said, You have no recollection of Mrs. Dempster? Boy responded with, None at all. Why should I? (Davies, 267) this quotation truly emphasizes how dismissive Boy is about the incident. Boy is motivated by self distraction so he does not let his faults linger and get in the way of his success. Effects Of The Media On Society Chapter 3: Effects of the Media Though war contributed to changes in society, the media was the driving factor behind changes including the fixation with beauty among women. Magazines had the ability to perpetuate the already emerging ideals. • 11. The Problem Of Induction, Inductive Reasoning, And Weather The problem of induction, inductive reasoning, and weather or not nature is uniform, are questions that have been raised by many a great philosopher. Induction, and Inductive reasoning is when you make observations of past events and occurrences and base your knowledge on those observations. From these observations you make generalizations, the problem with inductive reasoningand the problem with induction is that, your observations generalize and assume, sometimes too much, sometimes on a very limited number of observations which is not necessarily enough to assume that you are in fact right in knowing about a certain thing. Imagine all the swans you had ever seen or heard about were white, and you had never seen or heard of a black swan before. You would then assume and think that there were only such a thing as white swans, and rightly so, but does this mean there is no such thing as a black swan? No, it just means there has not ever been a black swan that you have seen or heard of, but because of inductive reasoning, and your own observations you could make a false claim. The claim that there are only white swans. Inductive reasoning also assumes that because a sequence of events has happened in the past they will again in the future, this is called the uniformity of nature, The sun is an example of this, it rises every day and sets every night, and it has done so since the beginning of time. Therefore, due to the sun rising and setting in the past, due to inductive ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As farmers introduce the chemical fertilizers to their crops they seldom know that they are decreasing the soil s fertility level and in return increasing the acidic levels, this is due to the fact that chemical fertilizers cause the soilto turn acidic (Missouri Botanical Garden). Plants grow best in neutral soils so when the soil turns acidic due to the implementation of chemical fertilizers farmers add more chemical fertilizers to help the next yield of crops grow thinking that the soil needs more nutrients and N P K when in reality all it needs is a little time off to try to recuperate itself naturally. Sadly, sometimes in the end the soil is no longer able to grow anything. The great amounts of fertilizers that are being used result in the soil turning into a desert; literally, this process is desertification. Desertification is just that, the process in which a healthy fertile soil turns into a dry infertile desert and once the soil reaches this state it is very difficult to restore it back to the healthy soil it used to be but it is not impossible. Aside from individual resistance, organizations as a whole also resist changes. Some organizations are so designed that they resist new ideas. The major reasons for this type of resistance are : threat to power; upper management considers change a threat to their power, authority and position. They fear that new policies imposed for instance by the government, may result in them losing their status. Also implementations such as participative decision making and self managed work teams affect their purpose. Additionally, companies resist change in their organizational structure. Especially bureaucratic structures where jobs are narrowly defined and flow of information is stressed to from top to bottom. This is usually because change in one part of these structures cant happen without causing disruption in all levels. Other popular reasons to resist change are resource constraints and sunk costs. If employees do accept change, organizations must have the resources to accommodate the new changes. For example if training agents are hired, the company needs to have sufficient financial resources to pay them and also pay their employees. If they are not equipped with enough resources, they will resist change. Also, it creates a problem for top management because a lot of capital would have already been invested in fixed assets and training for employees for their current jobs. ... Survival In Auschwitz, a memoir by Primo Levi, who has also personally lived the tremendous revolution of the attack towards Jewish people, he writes about the disasters occurring during this occasion, the way dehumanization had taken people s identity, and a plan to cope with the situation. A disastrous journey took place around 1943. A vast of Jewish people were captured by the Germans and with absolutely no knowledge they were being taken to a place of no hope. Behind ... • 30. Analysis Of Magnetic Resonance Imaging ( Mri ) Based Three... Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) based three dimensional reconstruction has been used successfully to evaluate the female pelvic floor muscles and tissues in women with and without pelvic floor dysfunction [1, 2]. Furthermore, MR based 3D reconstructed models have been used to generate finite element and element free computational models suitable for simulating vaginal child birth [3, 4], offering insight into risk factors for childbirth related pelvic floorinjury. The Finite Element Method has also been used to evaluate anterior vaginal wall support, and the mechanisms underlying cystocele formation [5]. Precise segmentation of pelvic magnetic resonance images (MRI) is an important step in building the three dimensional (3D) reconstructed structural models suitable for computational analysis. Segmentation consists of outlining each organ or tissue of interest from the underlying grayscale images on each slice in the dataset. The 3D reconstructed models are currently generated from manually segmented label maps, which currently require multiple hours of tedious manual segmentation to produce each reconstructed 3D model. This manual segmentation bottleneck limits the number of computational models that can be reliably produced in a timely manner, thereby limiting the number of study subjects available for the kind of statistical comparisons that can potentially lead to clinically meaningful insight. In addition, the structures of the female pelvic floor are very complex ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. My Career Path For A Teacher On October 21, 2015 my cooperating teacher mocked me in front of my class. You see I was the student teacher in a second grade classroom at Charles Olbon Elementary School. After class I went home, locked myself in my bedroom and I started pondering my future and my career path. I thought I would not be a good teacher, why did I choose this career path? I choose this path because my friends and family saw me a teacher, but I guess they do not know the real me. In 2003 at the age of ten years old I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. My father saw me down at the kitchen table and strongly advised me to go into an easy profession. He instructed me to become a teacher, therefore I mindlessly agreed to his requests. Then when I entered college, I did not enjoy the teaching classes and I told my friends, family, and fellow teachers. However everyone told me the similar line: you will make a great teacher, you re just nervous cause you re almost graduating, just stick it out and get your degree. I listened to others while ignoring my inner voice and passion. Now fast forward to October 23 25th I ended up skipping student teaching to go into the city for Robert McKees Story and Storynomics seminarclass. I consider myself a happy go lucky person who is a positive thinker and dreamer however on this particular day when my mom dropped me off at the bus station I was in a depressed state of mind. Since then, GMCR has created at home and travel Keurig brewers at lower prices along with a new vending program that allows them to target commercial and manufacturing environments (GMCR, Annual Report, 2009). With its transition into the growth stage, GMCR has promoted its products primarily by expanding into new retail stores such as Walmart, Target, Macy s, and Bed Bath Beyond; holding massive sampling events; and expanding its television advertising to include QVC, ABC, CBS, NBC, and the Food Network (GMCR, Annual Report, 2009). Both of them are on the same topic of war but have many contrasts in how they treat the subject matter, war. The main difference between these two poems is the audience that they were written for. Tennyson, as poet laureate, was written for public reading, but Sassoon s work which showed more emotion and feeling, was therefore more of a private poem. The poems tone and mood are very different. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While time ticks blank on their busy wrists. The language in the two poems is different. The poets use different literary terms. Tennyson begins his poem by using anaphora in the opening lines, Half a league, half a league, half a league onward. Anaphora is the repetition of certain words or words to obtain a rhythmic pattern. In this historic war, the men charged at the enemy guns on horseback, so this repetition in Tennyson s opening lines could be associated with the sound of galloping horses. Tennyson uses this again when he writes, Cannon to the right of them, Cannon to the left of them, Cannon in front of them. Tennyson also uses rhetorical questions in his poem, for example, Was there a man dismay d? and When can their glory fade? These are questions to which no answer is required, and add dramatic effect to the poem. Then he uses the phrase, The Valley of Death, to describe the valley in which the charge took place. This phrase is taken from the Bible ( Psalm 23). In other translations of the Bible ( The Good News Bible), it is translated as, the deepest darkness . Tennyson uses it with dramatic effect as if the men were ordered to go into the deepest darkness to charge down the cannons. During the Victorian period of history the Bible would have been important to the Victorian people and so the poem appealed to their cultural knowledge. Tennyson also uses other terms to ... Disruption Of Gender Roles In Macbeth In Shakespeare s play, Macbeth, Lady Macbeth s portrayal begins with the dominant elements of her ambitious and successful plotting of Duncan s demise from the throne and the effective rhetorical manipulation of her husband to be more like a man. Some of them were created by ever changing human activities; some of them cause infections by microorganisms, such as viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites. Those tiny things are truly annoying to us when we suffer sickness. They could even be fatal to us. If we want to cure ourselves effectively we will have to kill them and inhibit their growth using the drugs called antibiotics . Antibiotics are great against these infections, but they are not perfect. Pathogenic bacteriagradually evolve to survive in different environments just like the ways all creatures do. Though we can kill most of them after using antibiotics. A little group of them still live and become resistant to the antibiotics aimed at killing them. They multiply their population and create stronger bacteria in order to keep on infecting us. The bacteria s ability of fighting with antibiotics is named as antibiotic resistance. Another study was done during a three month silent retreat to see if mindful meditation can increase the ability to identify both stimuli in rapid succession, essentially reducing the trend known as attentional blink (Slagter, 2007) As cited by Slagter, attentional blink refers to an inability to perceive a second target in rapid sequential visual presentation of stimuli, if a first target was detected within a brief window of time, (500 milliseconds) preceding the second target (Shapiro, 1997). Research indicated that meditators showed less of an attentional blink response than non meditators after the three month retreat. Electroencephalography (EEG) signals revealed that the individuals that performed the best on the attentional blink task also exhibited the least amount of brain activity at the start of the first stimulus. This implies that those individuals were able to allocate their attentional resources evenly which is in co ordinance with their hypothesis that mindful meditation reduces attentional blink. ...
