The Role Of Lenore In The Raven
The Raven, by Edgar Allan Poe, tells about a talking raven s mysterious visit to a distraught man.
The raven visits the distraught man that has lost his beloved, Lenore. The man seems to get more
distraught throughout the story as the raven continues to answer all his questions with Nevermore
. In the video, my role was the mysterious raven. The main reason for my role is to create a
mystery. The mysteries that are created by this role are the man tries to find the origin of a noise
that happens to be the ravenand the mystery of why the raven is there. Without the raven the poem
would have never been a mystery and the man also would have never died to be with Lenore. The
man s pain would still be there. This project helped me fully understand

Are Colleges Worth The Cost Of College
Attending college after high school is a choice everybody has to make. However, colleges can be
very expensive to attend. The decision to go to college hangs mostly on one question: Is college
worth the cost? Many people evaluate the cost of college by equating it to things such as family
tradition and whether or not they need it for their career. To some people, collegeis a stumbling
block, but to others, it is the key to their future. To begin, college has many benefits, despite the
cost. College teaches students more than book smarts, but also teaches life skills. Liberal Arts
graduates can be seen prominently in leadership positions in areas such as politics and culture
(Source B). In this aspect, college holds a key to a prosperous

Compare And Contrast Lincoln s Second Inaugural Address
Lincoln s presidency is typically characterized by the abolition of slavery. While important, it often
overshadows other objectives he had for the country. After Lincoln issued The Emancipation
Proclamation, he had new plans for America. Lincoln weaved rhetorical strategies into his second
inaugural address to promote his vision for the future of the nation. As Civil War was nearing an
end, Lincoln s goal was to create a unified nation of peace. He hoped the Union and Confederacy
could put aside their differences and hatreds and reestablish harmony.
The differences between the North and South were extreme. Lincoln s goal was to show that the
Union and Confederacy had similarities that could foster peace between them. First he contrasted
the two, saying the North aimed to save the Union, while the south aimed to destroy it. He also
contrasted their belief of slavery on a federal level. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He compared the religious backgrounds of both sides, saying they prayed to the same god, and
read the same bible. Lincoln intended this to pacify either side, since religion was common
ground between them. This religious allusion promoted Lincoln s vision, since the Union and
Confederacy could use religious similarity as a foundation for peace. It also helped connect
them, since many people bond over shared religious beliefs. Lincoln also used biblical references
to give an explanation of why peace was possible. By the will of the Almighty, the Civil War was
a necessary woe to compensate for the offense of slavery. The conflict over slavery was the cause
of the war and the cause of the nation s internal chaos. However, The Emancipation Proclamation
ended the offense and ended the initial conflict. Lincoln believed this meant the United States
could reunify. His reasoning promoted his peaceful vision of the future, since slavery had ended,
war was no longer the will of the

Forest Deforestation Essay
Forest plays an essential role for local livelihood practices and considered as an important source
of national revenue as well. However, in developing countries such as Indonesia, forest degradation
has become at an alarming rate as a result of the over exploitation, unsustainable practices, forest
fires, and non eco friendly development projects in the forested areas like forestconversion into
mining and monoculture plantation. Massive deforestation naturally results in biodiversitylosses and
in many places leads to soil erosion, siltation and damage of the forests hydrological functions,
thus worsening food security and compromising forests future economic and environmental
attributes [1] and it has been reported that Indonesia lost more than 6 million hectares of natural
forest between 2000 and 2012 [2]. Not only rich in biological resources (10% of the world s
remaining flowering plants species, 12% of mammal species, 16% of reptile species, 25% of fish
species and 17% of bird species), these forests are also home to tens of millions of Indonesian
citizens. Many, if not most of these citizens are indigenous people with culturally rich and diverse
customs and traditions [3].
Forest ecosystems provide homes and sources of livelihood for a majority of the indigenous peoples
of Indonesia. Indigenous peoples make significant contributions to the conservation and sustainable
management of forest ecosystems, nevertheless, rapid and growing deforestation rates in Indonesia

Essay on language development
Most young children develop language rapidly, moving from crying and cooing in infancy to using
hundreds of words and understanding their meanings by the time they are ready to enter
kindergarten. Language development is a major accomplishment and is one of the most rewarding
experiences for anyone to share with a child. Children learn to speak and understand words by being
around adults and peers who communicate with them and encourage their efforts to talk.
As I observed Olivia, a typically developing 5 year old girl, I referred to the Symbolic Play Scale
Check List (Westby, 1980). This check list helped me to recognize the different stages of
appropriate language development during play for her age group. The list is based on play and ...

Her pronunciation and fluency was very clear compared to a few other children in her class. Once
the city was done, Olivia let everyone know it was clean up time by singing the famous clean up
time song.
This is typical of a child of Olivia s age group. According to the checklist on Play, at stage level X,
a child should be able to plan a sequence of pretend events. Organizes what she needs both objects
and other children (Westby, 1980). Also, according to the checklist on language, a child should use
relational terms (then, when, first, next, last, while, before, after)(Westby, 1980).
It was now time to move on to another activity. She has quite the imagination. Olivia, with the
help of her classmates, set the scene that she was a princess with long hair just like a recent book
the class read. Her classmates were her hairdressers, and make up artists. She would pretend her
salon was a very big and pink castle. Olivia would tell the others how to braid her hair and put
make up on her. She told them quot;do my hair first then my make up, and I want to wear only
pink eyeshadow, and pink lipstick. quot; Olivia is extremely creative with her imagination, which
is also apart of the check list. Highly imaginative, sets the scene without realistic props (Westby,
1980). Also, Olivia communicated with her peers in full conversations. I was very amazed at the
appropriate level in which

Desmond Tutu s Impact On Society
Desmond Tutu brings hope for goodness, reconciliation, and honesty to humanity. He is a defining
example for an Architect of Hope. In the last 85 years and counting, this man has been through the
struggle time after time. He has lived through sickness, harassment, and a sickening form of racism
in the apartheid period South Africa. Through these difficult times, he stuck to his beliefs and
remained a peaceful man. As a result, Desmond Tutus impact on society has and will continue to
inspire good hearted people to take action on their beliefs.
Desmond Tutu was born on October 7, 1931, in Klerksdorp, South Africa. (Encyclopedia Brittanica

When he first saw him, Trevor paid great respect to Tutu and his mother. Despite being a small act,
it made a big difference in Tutu s outlook towards white people. In an interview with Sir David
frost in 2013, Desmond Tutu says that he still has never forgotten that moment, and has credited
Trevor s influence for many of his accomplishments. (The Early Influence of Father Trevor
Huddleston Archbishop Desmond Tutu)
At a young age, Desmond Tutu got tuberculosis, a serious, life threatening sickness. Treatment
would be painful, but luckily doctors detected it early so he had a plan for recovery. All throughout
this near death experience, Tutu found comfort in God, and gained a tremendous support from
Trevor Huddleston, the priest who inspired him initially. After a grueling time in the hospital,
Desmond Tutu was released from the hospital at 16 (Crompton 14 16). While many may call this an
unlucky mishap, Desmond Tutu came out of the experience grateful, and appreciating life much
more than had he not gone through pain. Desmond Tutu s experience with pain is hopeful and
inspiring in the fact that it actually changed himself for the better. It resonated with me personally
because I always thought that pain was a bad thing and that it should be avoided at all costs. But

Descriptive Adjectives In The Monkey s Paw And The House...
Descriptive Adjectives in The Monkey s Paw, and The House of the Scorpion.
The author, Erik Pevernagie, once said, When ideas evaporate, when shapes fade and forms lose
their integrity, our imagination can create an outlandish setting and convert everything into a hazy,
misty Turner landscape. ( Back garden of a dream ) .
Many writers often use specific words and details to help bring the reader into the story. By
using these words the writer helps develop a setting, and it brings the reader into, and be able to
experience it as if they were there. In the story The Monkey s Paw by W.W Jacobs, and the novel,
The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer, the author uses descriptive adjectives to help
develop the setting. First, the author uses descriptive adjectives in The Monkey s Paw, to
develop setting in the story. This helps the reader see and feel the setting as if they were really
there. In addition, the quote, Without, the night was cold and wet, but in the small Laburnum
Villa the blinds were drawn and the fire burned brightly. The quote helps to set the stage of the
story, while also bringing a warm, and inviting kind of mood. Saying that the fire burned
brightly brings a comforting feeling to the reader like they are with the characters in the story.
Next, another example of Descriptive adjectives would be, A cold wind rushed up the staircase,
and a long loud wail of disappointment and misery from his wife gave him the courage to run
down to her side, and then to the gate beyond. The streetlamp flickering opposite shone on a
quiet and deserted road. This quote brings an unsettling but relieved state of mind. The father just
wished away his undead son, and the tension in the story is released. Saying the street lamp was
flickering on a quiet and deserted road brings the reader into the story as if they were staring off
into the street with the characters. Lastly, descriptive adjectives is in the quote, He sat until he was
chilled with the cold, glancing occasionally at the figure of the old woman in the window. The
candle end, which had burned below the rim of the china candlestick, was throwing pulsating
shadows on the ceiling and walls, until, with a flicker larger than the rest,

Lucynell Cratet s Interactions With The Outsiders Short Story
In his interactions with the Lucynell Craters, Tom Shiftlet has a chance to achieve Grace. He
has been wandering and has no friends, and has found in this household a chance to work hard,
watch a beautiful sunset every night, and live a quiet life. This opportunity is hinted at when he
first approaches the two women sitting on the porch and turns his back to them to face the
sunset: He swung both his whole and his short arm up slowly so that they indicated an expanse
of sky and his figure formed a crooked cross. That crooked cross embodied in his figure
represents his chance at salvation. As he drives toward Mobile, having missed his chance, he prays,
Oh Lord! Break forth and wash the slime from this earth!

Siftlet s head like a group of buzzards in the top of a tree. As he gets the idea to take the car and
abandon her daughter, his smile stretched like a weary snake waking up by a fire. The snake
simile suggests the devil, as opposed to his chance at salvation. He will choose to listen to this
devil as he abandons Lucynell at The Hot Spot.
As in many of Flannery O Connor s stories, weather is an important indicator of characters moods
and important moments. As Tom Shiftlet drives off with the younger Lucynell Crater in the car,
supposedly to go on a honeymoon, The early afternoon was clear and open and surrounded by
pale blue sky; he still has a chance to redeem himself. But after he abandons her at The Hot Spot,
he has lost his chance at salvation; this moment is enforced by the weather: Deep in the sky a
storm was preparing very slowly and without thunder as if it meant to drain every drop of air
from the earth before it broke. After the hitchhiking boy has thrown himself out the passenger
door, all is really lost for Tom Shiftlet, and there was a guffawing peal of thunder from behind and
fantastic raindrops, like tin can tops, crashed over the rear of Mr. Shiftlet s car.
The intensity of the weather is increased by its personification throughout the

Essay on U.S. Intervention
Should the United States enter into military intervention in foreign countries for humanitarian
reason? Why? Why not? Under what conditions should the U.S. intervene if at all? History has
been shown to repeat itself, and if we don t learn from it, we are doomed to repeat it. We have
watched many genocides happen within the last decade, some of which the U.S. has intervened,
and in some cases where they have not. The United Statesshould not intervene in foreign countries
for humanitarian reasons because the U.S. may lack investing the amount of troops and resources

soldiers were killed. The U.S won the battle, but lost the war. Sure the U.S helped feed millions
of people for a certain period of time, but overall the intervention turned out to be unsuccessful
because once they left, starvation would soon hit Somalia once again. The Somali leader and the
main instigator of starvation was not arrested, many innocent people were killed and when the
U.S withdrew its troops, 18 soldiers lives were lost in vain because their mission was not
accomplished with their deaths. The U.S has military all over the world, and is stretched to the
limit and the Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich is in agreement that these peace operations are
stretching our military [to] the verge of the breaking point. (John Hillen 125). In Patrick J.
Buchanan s article The United States Should Not Intervene in Regional Conflicts , he states that
Europeans are fully capable of defending themselves (118). They should form their own
intervention power instead of the U.S sending its troops from overseas. He agrees that our military
is stretched thin due to America s overseas defense commitment, to the point that the United States
would be unable to defend itself against a concerted attack by its enemies. (118). The United States
should have its troops on its own soil, defending and securing it, and John Hillen agrees with this
when he says that the United States must realize that a failure to be

Hegemonic Masculinity In Dude You Re A Fag
When it comes to gender studies, the term of hegemonic masculinity is generally used to describe a
theory of male dominance in society and culture. By exploring gender roles and its interplay with
race and class, hegemonic masculinity seeks to explain how men have historically maintained a
position of dominance in society, and why such dominance has been successfully maintained.
Hegemonic masculinityhas been historically maintained around the world, in different cultures, in a
wide variety of ways. Historically, for example, denying women legal rights, or more brutal
methods such as domestic violence or female circumcision and rape, were all tools that were part of
maintaining this particular hegemony. It is important to note that hegemonic... Show more content

A common trend on college campuses is the use of performance enhancing drugs for both
academic and athletic motives. Most college students know of someone who abuses one of these
drugs with the most common being cognition enhancers like Adderall and Ritalin. (Greely 2008)
These medications are only available legally by prescription, therefore students are illegally
dealing to each other for the buying and selling of these drugs. Their purpose for using is to have
an advantage over their peers, despite these dealings being crimes in the United States.

(Ragan 2013) With Adderall being the most common drug misused, its purpose is not only too get
high or lose weight, but to gain academic advantages with help in concentrating and studying. As
the demands in schooling increase, there is a prevalent increase in the need for cognition enhancers
to gain an advantage in the academic setting. Cognition enhancers used by healthy students is
mainly focused in the academic side of college campuses. However, they are also abused in other
competitive settings such as athletics. Athletes use drugs like Adderall to battle their fatigue when
playing in games and during practices. This illegal act can lead to athletes being suspended, losing
scholarships, and being fined. Many times, in masculine sports, the use of performance enhancing
drugs can be more expected in male athletes. These athletes rely on their athletic performance as a
sense of identity and feel more pressured to accomplish their athletic goals. Nonmedical use of
Adderall was seen highest in wrestling and lacrosse which are masculine sports that have high
expectations. Females had no particular sport associated with the use of Adderall. This shows a link
between higher contact sports and the nonmedical use of Adderall. (Veliz 2015) Athletes don t just
use cognition enhancers on the field, but many student athletes take the medications after games or

There have been many financial corruptions and scandals though out history and in 1869 one such

The American people believed that the U.S. Government would make good on their credit by

Jay Gould was a leading American railroad developer and Jim Fisk was an American stockbroker

The Influence Of American Values
Despite the fact that I am unabashedly myself and unintentionally vocal about most, if not all, of

A Study On Genetic Diseases
In the late 1900s, scientists were able to describe a rare congenital genetic disease called 1p36
for the first time. Later, in 2001, a girl named Sonia was born; two weeks after her birth, she had
heart failure and her parents had to take her to the hospital due to low vital signs. That was the
first time doctors noticed that there was something wrong with her. A couple of days later, they
realized that not only her heart wasn t functioning properly, but she had low muscle tone, and
seizures. All of these symptoms gave doctors enough reasons to believe that it was a syndrome.
Today, Sonia lives and I m proud to say that she is my cousin. Learningabout genetic diseases
during my undergraduate journey, I was able to relate her story and until this day I m still
fascinated by the absolute profoundness and complexities of medicine. Thus, I have resolved to
dedicate my lifetime to become a doctor not only for my own professional and personal evolution,
but also to guide and mentor others.
Throughout my life, I had the opportunity to live fulfilling experiences that helped me confirm
my desire to be a doctor. I was fortunate to participate as a volunteer, at Nicklaus Children s
Hospital working in the emergency room, where I saw and experienced different cases as simple
as a flu, and as difficult as intensive care cases, such as heart transplant. There is one particular day
which stayed permanent in my mind. It was one of those that are full of doubts concerning your

Gas Station Research Paper
We ve all experienced this before, and for future drivers it is bound to happen. Before driving home
after a long day at work, you head to the nearest gas station to find the prices at a hefty $3.59 per
gallon. You shrug since the cost last week was a few cents higher, and proceed to fill up your car.
With your gasolinecapacity at its limit, you drive around the corner only to have your jaw drop
when you realize that this gas station s price is thirty cents cheaper than what you just paid for.
Then, talking to the empty seat beside you, you ask, Why do gas stations in the same area charge
different amounts per gallon?
The first economic principle that gas companies have applied is the costs versus benefits principle.
Each company obtains

New York Historical Events
History
A big part that people do not consider when they come to New York is about its early history, its
disasters, and its historical events. In New York the first people living there were the native
americans. There were two tribes the Iroquois and the Oneida. First, the Iroquois were a group of
tribes the Mohawk, Oneida, Cayuga, and the Seneca. Later, the Tuscarora joined the group of the 5.
They had different names depending on what kind of people they were. The French called them the
Iroquois, the name they have today. These group of people originally named their group the
Haudenosaunee, meaning the people of the longhouse. The British called them the 5 nations
because at the time of when the British saw them their first time the 6th tribe wasn t part of it.
They lived in houses that were called longhouses and sometimes these talks structures could be
100ft. tall of the ground. Lastly, the 3 sisters were the 3 crops grown together the corn, bean, and

One of them are the Twin towers. Terrorists crashed airplane on the Twin towers of the World
Trade Center. What might surprise you is that the people who crashed the plane did it on
purpose. Thousands of people were killed in this harsh attack. Another historical event is when
New York became a state. On July 26 1778, New York became 11th U.S. state. New York city
was then the nation s capital from 1785 until 1790. Lastly, another historical event to not forget is
Ellis Island. The island opened for the reason of the government to take care of the immigration
and make sure immigrants did not bring diseases and make sure that immigrants could support
themselves in America. The first immigrant to arrive was 15 year old Annie Moore with her 2
brothers. She had come to reunite with her parents already there. On the island there were medical

Overview
Product Strategies
Introduce new product every 3 months
Product variation is important to create more choices for consumers and to encourage repeat
purchase for its regular and loyal customers. It s unlikely for customers to buy the same product
twice specially if its a bag, pouch or wallet related product, they would look for a different design.
Product launch is a great strategy to create break the internet and update people on the activities of

The company gain additional promotion from the designer and artist engagement with the product
that will strengthen its customer relationship and also indirectly creating a community for the brand.
Price Strategies
Cost Based Pricing
The price of the bags are based on cost of goods sold and marketing conditions on setting the
price. This cost strategy will be used for the sport s series bag of M Series. On the current
market, selected brands offer shoe compartments and this products are priced higher than regular
bags. So, the company will price the bag with its cost of goods sold and marketing factors such as
the price of the competitors and the product value of the bag.
Psychological Pricing
Since the company s target market is students with low savings level. Student lifstyle bags will
be priced at Php 999 instead of Php 1,000, to create less in consumer s mind. Students perceived
prices exceeding the amount of Php 1,000 as expensive. So, the company will position the item
price in such a way that it will not be too expensive for its primary market but still profitable for
the company.
Bundle Pricing
Related products like wallets or pouch and bags will be combined and sold at a bundle price.
Pouches and wallets will be sold at 3 for 250 to reduced the item price and create a discount and
encourage more quantity to be sold.

Broken Spears the Spanish Defeat of the Aztec Empire
The Broken Spears is a book written by Miguel Leon Portilla that gives accounts of the fall of the
Aztec Empire to the Spanish in the early 16th century. The book is much different from others
written about the defeat of the empire because it was written from the vantage point of the Aztecs
rather then the Spanish. Portilla describes in depth many different reasons why the Spanish were
successful in the defeat of such a strong Empire. Portilla starts out by giving a thorough
background of the culture and religious beliefs. The reader can draw many theories on how this
carried over to the Aztecs way of thinking and fighting. In addition to the religion and culture,
Portilla shows the technology advantages the Spanish had over the... Show more content on

He immediately sent gifts of ancient treasures and gold to the Spanish. The Spanish especially
took a liking to the gold that was brought to them, and would later take much more on their
conquest. When the messengers returned, they reported to Motechuhzoma all that the Spanish
had. From their appearance, to the food they ate, to their impressive weapons. At this point a
good leader would have realized the threat to his land, and would start to prepare for an attack or
defense. Motechuhzoma s response was not that at all. He sent for magicians and warlock s in
the hope that they could harm the Spaniards (32). This clearly shows that the king is not in
control, but rather confused and scared. At this point it seems obvious that this was a threat. The
messenger reported back to the king and spoke of the power of the Spanish, along with all of the
weapons. Even after hearing all that, Motechuhzoma refused to rule out the idea that they where
gods. He sent prisoners from war to be sacrificed before the Spanish because he believed these
gods would want to drink their blood (33). Obviously this disgusted the Spanish, but more
importantly it built a case for Motechuhzoma to believe these people weren t gods. If he believed
in his religion that the gods wanted human sacrifice, and these strangers were disgusted by it, it
should have been clear that they weren t gods. Motechuhzoma had clearly showed his

Reading Comprehension And The Key Pillars Of Reading...
Reading comprehension is the ability to read the text, process what you just read and then be
able to understand what you read well enough to explain it to a fellow peer clearly and precisely.
Reading comprehension is a link in the chain that is the five pillars of reading instruction. The
first pillar being phonemes, second is phonics, third and fourth is fluency and vocabulary and
finally the fifth is comprehension. It s the caboose of the pillars you might say. While all of the
pillars are vital to the ability to read I ve witnessed many children able to read efficiently and
fluently, but not able to explain what they just read. Those children did not suffer from ADHD,
and if some of them struggled with comprehension it makes you assume that kids with diagnosed
ADHD will most likely have an even harder time. According to Kaprea Johnson, The ability to read
and comprehend is a major milestone in a child s life and has long standing effects throughout the
lifespan (Johnson, 2013, p. 98). With that being said, the importance of readingcomprehension is
pretty clear. In the experiment to test whether or not ADHD has any affect on reading
comprehension Johnson (2013) included 129 elementary students ranging from third through sixth
grade. The students were analyzed through some comprehension tests that measured their ability to
read and then understand what it was that they were reading. Then the variables such as
hyperactivity, conduct problems and peer problems were

My Field Experience At Bushwick United Head Start Program
For my field experience, I had the opportunity to observe a four year old pre kindergarten
classroom on November 5th and 12th at Bushwick United Head Start program. The school is
located at 136 Stanhope street, Brooklyn, N.Y. Majority of the families the school serve are
Hispanics, and as a result, the student body entails mostly ELL students. There are approximately
130 students enrolled in the program, and out of that 130, about 10% speaks English. The school
uses an additive model of English Language to support both the student s home language and foster
and support English language acquisition. The classrooms are staffed with teachers who speak the
children s home language, who can apply some use of the home language within the classroom and
providing hands on experiences for students. Additionally, to support students with disability, the
school also partnered with United Community Services (UCS), a program that offers speech
therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy to students. The school uses the evidence based
Creative Curriculum. The Creative Curriculum is aligned with Head Start Performance Standards,
NAEYC guidelines and the NY State Prekindergarten Common Core Standards. The classroom I
observed consists of seventeen students, eight of which girls and nine are boys. Of the seventeen
students, nine receive services from UCS, and five of which understood and speak English, though

The Influence Of Voting In The United States Of America
The United States of America is one of the few countries that give its citizens a unique opportunity
and that is to vote. Many other countries give its citizens the right to vote, however America is
different due to the fact that its citizens vote for everything, from their local government to their
president. With power this great, it gives more reason to become and informed voter. Each state has
congressional districts that are made by the population. Each district has around 711,000 people.
Each district gets one representative in the House of Representatives. For example, Portland
Connecticut is part of the 1st congressional district in Connecticut. Their representative is John
Larson. The 1st congressional district of Connecticut spans over multiple counties including
multiple major cities, and example would be East and West Hartford, Hartford being the capital of
Connecticut. Other cities include Middletown and Manchester, all which are highly populated and
the towns have large impacts on Connecticut s economy.
John Larson
John Larson was born July 22, 1948 in Hartford, Connecticut. He went to Central Connecticut
State University. In 1999 he was elected into office as a representative for Connecticut s 1st
congressional district. In his position there is an election every 2 years. John Larson works in the
House of Representative, which is part of the legislative branch. Their job includes passing laws
and originating and spending bills. Larson has been constantly winning re election. During his
election periods he gets the majority of the votes when he is up against 2 3 competitors. Looking at
voting past he has been winning every reelection by at least around 60%. An important fact to note
is that Larson is a democrat.
The 1st congressional district
Undoubtedly, the 1st congressional district of Connecticut leans towards a democratic government.
This is based off of the fact that John Larson has been winning reelection since 1999 along with
the fact that he has won the majority of the votes for each reelection. Even before John Larson the
past few representatives have been democrats, for example Barbra B. Kennelly and William R.
Cotter have all been democrats. In fact, this district has been voting

American composer, Wayne Peterson, won the Pulitzer Prize in music in 1992. In addition to
winning the Pulitzer Prize, Peterson has been honored with fellowships and commissions from
many Foundations, as well as an award of distinction from the American Academy and Institute of
Arts and Letters. He has received awards from the Minnesota Centennial Composition Contest, the

Needless to say Wayne Peterson has been very successful at composing music. One may ask when
his fascination of music began and how he inspired today s music.
Wayne Peterson was born in Albert Lea, a small town Minnesota on March 8th 1927 (Henken,

Peterson is still alive and a private man there are currently no sources that tell how he started
writing his music. Although it is known that where he began composing and that he composed
under the influences of Copland, Stravinsky, Schoenberg and Bartok. Wayne Peterson played piano
and studied composition in Minnesota University where he received not only his bachelors and
masters but also his PhD. While he studied at Minnesota University, he studied with American

BACKGROUND
Northwest Equipment Corporation (NEC) acquired Capital Mortgage Insurance Company (CMI).
Jim Doland and Frank Randall, respectively senior vice and company president of CMI transform
the company into an ancillary of its buyer. Moreover, CMI s existing trade is centered on mortgage
insurance. To that end, the company deals with banks and lending institutions. Added to that, CMI
wants to extend its activities in the real estate market. With this in mind, the mortgage company
wishes to acquire Corporate Transfer Services in Chicago (CTS) to compete with Merrill Lynch,
leader of mortgage in the marketplace.
Elliot Burr manages CTS, a real state company based in Chicago. Burr s company provides
relocation services to diverse companies all over the country.
CMI retains key employees to handle CTS s current business interests, and to encourage a good
affiliation with CTS founder, Elliot Burr. That will help them to ease the negotiation process.
Case Study Analysis
More often than not, people or organizations negotiate to come to a bargain. The process is about
give and take ahead of decisions. Thus, the goal of successful negotiation is to obtain a fair
outcome, including value and risks, for all parties involved. To achieve such a goal, negotiators
have to keep clean and honest relationships. Di Frances supports this idea assuming successful
negotiation is an art, not a science. The three most important concerns and elements in any

The Aboriginal People Of The Australian Aboriginal People
I.Introduction The Australian aboriginal peoples have the longest continuous cultural history in the
world. Archaeological evidence dates their presence in Australia back at least 65,000 years
(Barret). Dreaming is the English term for a set of beliefs that are held by the Australian Aboriginal
peoples. It is an inadequate term that does nothing to encompass all that it really is. The Dreaming
or Dream time deals with the past, present, and future. `There are many different peoples and clans
who are labeled Australian Aboriginals. Over time, they have all been lumped together as one
people even though they have different beliefs, languages and customs. This is a disservice to them
and all who would try to understand them. Before Australia was colonized by British settlers, it is
estimated that there were about 500 different Aboriginal groups based on the number of languages
spoken (Broome). This number has been diminished but there are still many different Aboriginal
languages spoken today. The Arrernte people of Northern Australia call Dreaming, Tjukurrpa which
could be translated to see and understand the law (Barret). Dreaming stories are the medium through
which all important knowledge, cultural values, and beliefs are passed on to later generations. The
stories can be expressed verbally, through oral tradition and songs, through dancing, and painting. It
is through Dreaming that Aboriginal peoples have been able to create and maintain a rich cultural

were that when the water in the canister was poured into the graduated cylinder, a few drops of

millimeter but the meniscus was in between two lines so the measurement was not completely
accurate. There were a few extraneous variables. One of the extraneous variables was the volume

they all could have had different volumes making the densities of the sand not completely accurate.
One other extraneous variable was when the canisters were put in the water a small amount of
water got in the canisters making the sand wet. This could make the sand s density different making

Theories Of Hominin Evolution
Thinking about evolutionary theory, some people s first thoughts are humans have come from
monkeys. From what I have learned thus far in Archaeology is that there is more to evolutionary
theory than what one would have previously thought. Prior to entering Introduction to Archaeology
I had almost no knowledge about hominin evolution. The only idea I had about hominin evolution
is the single line of an ape that evolves into a human. For me personally I did not see the relevance
of hominin evolution, I believed that evolution did happen, for example; Darwin s findings on the

occur, what I struggled with was the hominin evolution. Prior to class... Show more content on

I especially enjoyed the video on homo Naledi, it was exciting and I thought it gave an in depth
idea of hominin evolution. It is important for Paleoanthropologists to continue their work because
there could so much more evidence that has not been uncovered yet. Earlier in my paper I said
that my previous understanding of hominin evolution was a straight line of an ape evolving into a
human. However, that is not at all the case. The hominin evolution is similar to many branches
coming off of each other into eventually what separates the earliest apes from the earliest humans.
Branches do come off that have no leads to any other type hominin, which is where the possibility
lies on whether, that branch went extinct, or the remaining branches have not been found yet. This
is why the story of discovering Sediba was so significant. Sediba was a branch of hominid that had
never discovered before it was a missing link from Australopithecus to Homo Ergaster. Without
Paleoanthropologists continuing to search out new evidence, Sediba may have never been found.
Paleoanthropologists need to continue to search for new evidence proving the evolution of
hominids further, for many reasons. One is to find more missing links in the branches like Sediba.

Overpopulation And Pollution For The City Of An Ideal City
Today, the cities of this world are awesome, tall buildings, high rates of development and of
course, the overpopulation and pollution. To combat this major issue in the modern world, we
must put in a standardised city template that cities must follow so that they are able to cope with
the inevitable fact of evolution and the factors such as global warming (true or not), overpopulation
and pollution. The city, as described below, is an ideal city that this world needs to last.
To attain maximum efficiency and sustainability in the city, measure will be taken to ensure a
long life for the city. Implementing a high levy on all petrol and diesel vehicles and lower ones on
hybrid vehicles will retain the clean air of the city. Purchasing a full electric vehicle will see a 50%
incentive to the buyer. There will be more than enough infrastructure to house the electric vehicles
booming industry, including Continental s All New inroad wireless EV charging for charging
while parked and emergency chargers placed around rural roads in cases of empty batteries.
Infrastructure to accommodate Tesla s Supercharging Network for long range travel will be
placed to boost people taking the eco friendly option. There will be a Hyperloop in the ground to

The Eruption Of The Volcano
On August 24th AD 79 Mount Vesuvius violently erupted and buried the cities of Pompeii and
Herculaneum. The eruption of the volcano was recorded by one of the only surviving
eyewitnesses Pliny the Younger. He described the start of the eruption like this: On August in the
early afternoon, my mother drew his attention to a cloud of unusual size and appearance...its
general appearance can best be expressed as being like an umbrella pine, for it rose to a great
height on a sort of trunk and then split off into branches, I imagine because it was thrust upwards
by the first blast and then left unsupported as the pressure subsided. (Pliny the Younger, trans Betty
Radice in August 30 1963). In the evening of the same day pumice began to fall form the sky. The
streets of Pompeiiand Herculaneumstarted to get covered by a layer of ash and pumice. The
smoke from the eruption was so high that it started to block out the sun. Ashes were already
falling, hotter and thicker as the ships drew near, followed by bits of pumice and blackened
stones, charred and cracked the flames. (Pliny the Younger, trans Betty Radice in August 30 1963).
Around midnight the pyroclastic surges started. A pyroclastic surge is an avalanche of pumice,
rock, hot ash and volcanic gas, which rushes down the side of the volcano at 100 km/hour or faster.

Compliance guidelines would be a requirement that providers must accurately complete and sign

Orville and Wilbur Wright are two icons that are recognisable to world of aviation for their big
contribution to the aviation industry. Orville and Wilbur are two American brothers who both

(Wikipedia, 2017). This clearly shows that Wilbur is older than Orville by four years. According

The Historical Role Reversal Between The Democratic And...
The historical role reversal between the Democratic and Republican parties is a much
debated topic. There are questions on whether it actually did occur, if so, around what time
period, and for what reasons. There, in fact, was a role reversal and it occurred sometime
between the years 1928 and 1932. Reasons that may have sparked the switch could be
disagreement among party members, major issue disputes such as economy, rights, or even
money, all of which are evident in today s society. Based on the research stated throughout, the
most realistic reason that this phenomenon occurred was because of the failing economy and
extremely poor leadership in the white house.
The economy in the 1930 s was in a depression, which was the worst depression that the
United States has ever experienced. The stock market crashed, inflation was at an all time high,
gas prices rose, unemployment was at nearly 25 percent, and the U.S. Dollar was worth nearly
nothing. All of this followed by president Herbert Hoover who prolonged the suffering of the
United States economy. The people in the extremely poor cities that could no longer afford to
live in house or apartments became homeless and consequently built hoovervilles. Hoovervilles
were large congregations of homeless people. After Hoover s term as president, President
Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected and brought the economy back from the dead so to say. FDR
proposed his new deal, which consisted of several

Star Wars Archetypes
The archetypes in Lord of the Rings and Star wars that I have chose for this essay are the Loyal
retainer, The task, and light v.s. Dark. I will do a comparison of each movie with the three
archetypes. In Lord of the Rings the loyal retainer is Samwise Gamgee, and in Star Wars the loyal
retainers are Han Solo, C 3PO and R2 D2. The next archetype is the task. The task in Lord of the
Rings is for Frodo to keep the ring safe and to keep others away who are tempted by it, to use it
against Sauron. The task in Star wars was to save the princess and destroy the death star. The last
archetype is light v.s dark. In Lord of the Rings, light v.s. dark appears when the fellowship tries to
defeat Sauron. Light v.s. Dark in Star wars is when Luke and his... Show more content on

Dark, light meaning good and dark meaning evil. In The Lord of the Rings, the fellowship
represents the light and Sauron represents the dark. The fellowship represents the light side
because they are in possession of the ring and they have to bring the ring to Mount Doom to
destroy it. The ring will bring on evil and bad situations and if it were to get in the hands of any
of the other members of the fellowship or anyone on Sauron s side then evil would take over
and Sauron would be the new leader. The Dark would of course be Sauron. Sauron is controlling
Gollum to try and take possession of the ring, therefore he is to be around Frodo so that he can
take the ring. There is a good and bad side to Gollum, one side wants to be friends with Frodo
and the other side wants to take the ring and be the holder of the ring and gain the power he used
to have. The light and dark in Star wars. The light side is the Jedi and the dark side is the Sith.
Although the Jedi at times can do bad things, but the Sith are more into killing innocence and
holding slaves. The Jedi are usually the ones that protect and free the

Unit 2 Case Study
1) Because of differing state policies when approaching multiple languages, Belgium only gains
antagonism from multiple languages while Switzerland has more unity. Belgium gives autonomy
to regions based on the two differing languages they speak, which creates more difference.
Switzerland has four national languages, because they are using their diversity as a unifying factor
rather than a dividing one. 2) San Jose should use public funds to publish documents and signs in
English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. San Jose has high populations that speak each of those
languages, and a city should serve all of its residents. If a substantial portion of non English
speakers live in a city, those residents should have the taxes they pay to that city serve... Show more

Both holy sites are literally stacked on top of each other, which causes tension over who
controls the sites. Because they are unable to find common ground, the cultural landscape is
strained. 5) Religion is such a common factor of territorial conflict that people sometimes
outright say that religion is sometimes the main cause. Religion has caused much territorial
conflict from the Crusades hundreds of years ago to extreme tensions today. For example, the
conflict between India and Pakistan over the Kashmir stems from the fact that the ethnic
minority of the area claimed by India is Muslim, and Pakistan is a heavily Muslim majority
country. In addition, Israel uses religious reasoning in order to justify the possession of the Gaza
Strip and Jerusalem from the people who were already living there. 6) Apartheid laws in South
Africa enforced racial separation and have had long term consequences. In South Africa, it was
the law for white and black people to be seperated in almost all aspects of society (known as
apartheid). This created large poverty in black areas because of discrimination. Today, though
apartheid has been abolished, people who were previously disenfranchised by apartheid still have
greater poverty

  • 2. The Role Of Lenore In The Raven The Raven, by Edgar Allan Poe, tells about a talking raven s mysterious visit to a distraught man. The raven visits the distraught man that has lost his beloved, Lenore. The man seems to get more distraught throughout the story as the raven continues to answer all his questions with Nevermore . In the video, my role was the mysterious raven. The main reason for my role is to create a mystery. The mysteries that are created by this role are the man tries to find the origin of a noise that happens to be the ravenand the mystery of why the raven is there. Without the raven the poem would have never been a mystery and the man also would have never died to be with Lenore. The man s pain would still be there. This project helped me fully understand ... • 3. Are Colleges Worth The Cost Of College Attending college after high school is a choice everybody has to make. However, colleges can be very expensive to attend. The decision to go to college hangs mostly on one question: Is college worth the cost? Many people evaluate the cost of college by equating it to things such as family tradition and whether or not they need it for their career. To some people, collegeis a stumbling block, but to others, it is the key to their future. To begin, college has many benefits, despite the cost. College teaches students more than book smarts, but also teaches life skills. Liberal Arts graduates can be seen prominently in leadership positions in areas such as politics and culture (Source B). • 4. Compare And Contrast Lincoln s Second Inaugural Address Lincoln s presidency is typically characterized by the abolition of slavery. While important, it often overshadows other objectives he had for the country. After Lincoln issued The Emancipation Proclamation, he had new plans for America. Lincoln weaved rhetorical strategies into his second inaugural address to promote his vision for the future of the nation. As Civil War was nearing an end, Lincoln s goal was to create a unified nation of peace. He hoped the Union and Confederacy could put aside their differences and hatreds and reestablish harmony. The differences between the North and South were extreme. Lincoln s goal was to show that the Union and Confederacy had similarities that could foster peace between them. First he contrasted the two, saying the North aimed to save the Union, while the south aimed to destroy it. He also contrasted their belief of slavery on a federal level. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He compared the religious backgrounds of both sides, saying they prayed to the same god, and read the same bible. Lincoln intended this to pacify either side, since religion was common ground between them. This religious allusion promoted Lincoln s vision, since the Union and Confederacy could use religious similarity as a foundation for peace. It also helped connect them, since many people bond over shared religious beliefs. Lincoln also used biblical references to give an explanation of why peace was possible. By the will of the Almighty, the Civil War was a necessary woe to compensate for the offense of slavery. The conflict over slavery was the cause of the war and the cause of the nation s internal chaos. However, The Emancipation Proclamation ended the offense and ended the initial conflict. Lincoln believed this meant the United States could reunify. His reasoning promoted his peaceful vision of the future, since slavery had ended, war was no longer the will of the ... • 5. Forest Deforestation Essay Forest plays an essential role for local livelihood practices and considered as an important source of national revenue as well. However, in developing countries such as Indonesia, forest degradation has become at an alarming rate as a result of the over exploitation, unsustainable practices, forest fires, and non eco friendly development projects in the forested areas like forestconversion into mining and monoculture plantation. Massive deforestation naturally results in biodiversitylosses and in many places leads to soil erosion, siltation and damage of the forests hydrological functions, thus worsening food security and compromising forests future economic and environmental attributes [1] and it has been reported that Indonesia lost more than 6 million hectares of natural forest between 2000 and 2012 [2]. Not only rich in biological resources (10% of the world s remaining flowering plants species, 12% of mammal species, 16% of reptile species, 25% of fish species and 17% of bird species), these forests are also home to tens of millions of Indonesian citizens. Many, if not most of these citizens are indigenous people with culturally rich and diverse customs and traditions [3]. Forest ecosystems provide homes and sources of livelihood for a majority of the indigenous peoples of Indonesia. Indigenous peoples make significant contributions to the conservation and sustainable management of forest ecosystems, nevertheless, rapid and growing deforestation rates in Indonesia ... • 6. Essay on language development Most young children develop language rapidly, moving from crying and cooing in infancy to using hundreds of words and understanding their meanings by the time they are ready to enter kindergarten. Language development is a major accomplishment and is one of the most rewarding experiences for anyone to share with a child. Children learn to speak and understand words by being around adults and peers who communicate with them and encourage their efforts to talk. • 8. Descriptive Adjectives In The Monkey s Paw And The House... Descriptive Adjectives in The Monkey s Paw, and The House of the Scorpion. The author, Erik Pevernagie, once said, When ideas evaporate, when shapes fade and forms lose their integrity, our imagination can create an outlandish setting and convert everything into a hazy, misty Turner landscape. ( Back garden of a dream ) . Many writers often use specific words and details to help bring the reader into the story. By using these words the writer helps develop a setting, and it brings the reader into, and be able to experience it as if they were there. In the story The Monkey s Paw by W.W Jacobs, and the novel, The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer, the author uses descriptive adjectives to help develop the setting. First, the author uses descriptive adjectives in The Monkey s Paw, to develop setting in the story. This helps the reader see and feel the setting as if they were really there. In addition, the quote, Without, the night was cold and wet, but in the small Laburnum Villa the blinds were drawn and the fire burned brightly. The quote helps to set the stage of the story, while also bringing a warm, and inviting kind of mood. Saying that the fire burned brightly brings a comforting feeling to the reader like they are with the characters in the story. Next, another example of Descriptive adjectives would be, A cold wind rushed up the staircase, and a long loud wail of disappointment and misery from his wife gave him the courage to run down to her side, and then to the gate beyond. The streetlamp flickering opposite shone on a quiet and deserted road. This quote brings an unsettling but relieved state of mind. The father just wished away his undead son, and the tension in the story is released. Saying the street lamp was flickering on a quiet and deserted road brings the reader into the story as if they were staring off into the street with the characters. Lastly, descriptive adjectives is in the quote, He sat until he was chilled with the cold, glancing occasionally at the figure of the old woman in the window. The candle end, which had burned below the rim of the china candlestick, was throwing pulsating shadows on the ceiling and walls, until, with a flicker larger than the rest, ... He has been wandering and has no friends, and has found in this household a chance to work hard, watch a beautiful sunset every night, and live a quiet life. This opportunity is hinted at when he first approaches the two women sitting on the porch and turns his back to them to face the sunset: He swung both his whole and his short arm up slowly so that they indicated an expanse of sky and his figure formed a crooked cross. He sent for magicians and warlock s in the hope that they could harm the Spaniards (32). This clearly shows that the king is not in control, but rather confused and scared. At this point it seems obvious that this was a threat. The messenger reported back to the king and spoke of the power of the Spanish, along with all of the weapons. Even after hearing all that, Motechuhzoma refused to rule out the idea that they where gods. He sent prisoners from war to be sacrificed before the Spanish because he believed these gods would want to drink their blood (33). Obviously this disgusted the Spanish, but more importantly it built a case for Motechuhzoma to believe these people weren t gods. If he believed in his religion that the gods wanted human sacrifice, and these strangers were disgusted by it, it should have been clear that they weren t gods. • 27. Reading Comprehension And The Key Pillars Of Reading... Reading comprehension is the ability to read the text, process what you just read and then be able to understand what you read well enough to explain it to a fellow peer clearly and precisely. Reading comprehension is a link in the chain that is the five pillars of reading instruction. The first pillar being phonemes, second is phonics, third and fourth is fluency and vocabulary and finally the fifth is comprehension. It s the caboose of the pillars you might say. While all of the pillars are vital to the ability to read I ve witnessed many children able to read efficiently and fluently, but not able to explain what they just read. Those children did not suffer from ADHD, and if some of them struggled with comprehension it makes you assume that kids with diagnosed ADHD will most likely have an even harder time. According to Kaprea Johnson, The ability to read and comprehend is a major milestone in a child s life and has long standing effects throughout the lifespan (Johnson, 2013, p. 98). With that being said, the importance of readingcomprehension is pretty clear. In the experiment to test whether or not ADHD has any affect on reading comprehension Johnson (2013) included 129 elementary students ranging from third through sixth grade. The students were analyzed through some comprehension tests that measured their ability to read and then understand what it was that they were reading. Then the variables such as hyperactivity, conduct problems and peer problems were ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

My Field Experience At Bushwick United Head Start Program For my field experience, I had the opportunity to observe a four year old pre kindergarten classroom on November 5th and 12th at Bushwick United Head Start program. The school is located at 136 Stanhope street, Brooklyn, N.Y. Majority of the families the school serve are Hispanics, and as a result, the student body entails mostly ELL students. There are approximately 130 students enrolled in the program, and out of that 130, about 10% speaks English. The school uses an additive model of English Language to support both the student s home language and foster and support English language acquisition. The classrooms are staffed with teachers who speak the children s home language, who can apply some use of the home language within the classroom and providing hands on experiences for students. Additionally, to support students with disability, the school also partnered with United Community Services (UCS), a program that offers speech therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy to students. The school uses the evidence based Creative Curriculum. The Creative Curriculum is aligned with Head Start Performance Standards, NAEYC guidelines and the NY State Prekindergarten Common Core Standards. The classroom I observed consists of seventeen students, eight of which girls and nine are boys. Of the seventeen students, nine receive services from UCS, and five of which understood and speak English, though not fluently. The students are often pulled out the classroom to receive ... Many other countries give its citizens the right to vote, however America is different due to the fact that its citizens vote for everything, from their local government to their president. With power this great, it gives more reason to become and informed voter. Each state has congressional districts that are made by the population. Each district has around 711,000 people. Each district gets one representative in the House of Representatives. For example, Portland Connecticut is part of the 1st congressional district in Connecticut. Their representative is John Larson. The 1st congressional district of Connecticut spans over multiple counties including multiple major cities, and example would be East and West Hartford, Hartford being the capital of Connecticut. Other cities include Middletown and Manchester, all which are highly populated and the towns have large impacts on Connecticut s economy. John Larson John Larson was born July 22, 1948 in Hartford, Connecticut. He went to Central Connecticut State University. In 1999 he was elected into office as a representative for Connecticut s 1st congressional district. In his position there is an election every 2 years. John Larson works in the House of Representative, which is part of the legislative branch. Their job includes passing laws and originating and spending bills. Larson has been constantly winning re election. During his election periods he gets the majority of the votes when he is up against 2 3 competitors. Looking at voting past he has been winning every reelection by at least around 60%. An important fact to note is that Larson is a democrat. The 1st congressional district Undoubtedly, the 1st congressional district of Connecticut leans towards a democratic government. This is based off of the fact that John Larson has been winning reelection since 1999 along with the fact that he has won the majority of the votes for each reelection. Archaeological evidence dates their presence in Australia back at least 65,000 years (Barret). Dreaming is the English term for a set of beliefs that are held by the Australian Aboriginal peoples. It is an inadequate term that does nothing to encompass all that it really is. The Dreaming or Dream time deals with the past, present, and future. `There are many different peoples and clans who are labeled Australian Aboriginals. Over time, they have all been lumped together as one people even though they have different beliefs, languages and customs. This is a disservice to them and all who would try to understand them. Before Australia was colonized by British settlers, it is estimated that there were about 500 different Aboriginal groups based on the number of languages spoken (Broome). This number has been diminished but there are still many different Aboriginal languages spoken today. The Arrernte people of Northern Australia call Dreaming, Tjukurrpa which could be translated to see and understand the law (Barret). Dreaming stories are the medium through which all important knowledge, cultural values, and beliefs are passed on to later generations. The stories can be expressed verbally, through oral tradition and songs, through dancing, and painting. It is important for Paleoanthropologists to continue their work because there could so much more evidence that has not been uncovered yet. Earlier in my paper I said that my previous understanding of hominin evolution was a straight line of an ape evolving into a human. However, that is not at all the case. The hominin evolution is similar to many branches coming off of each other into eventually what separates the earliest apes from the earliest humans. Branches do come off that have no leads to any other type hominin, which is where the possibility lies on whether, that branch went extinct, or the remaining branches have not been found yet. This is why the story of discovering Sediba was so significant. Sediba was a branch of hominid that had never discovered before it was a missing link from Australopithecus to Homo Ergaster. Without Paleoanthropologists continuing to search out new evidence, Sediba may have never been found. Paleoanthropologists need to continue to search for new evidence proving the evolution of hominids further, for many reasons. One is to find more missing links in the branches like Sediba. There are questions on whether it actually did occur, if so, around what time period, and for what reasons. There, in fact, was a role reversal and it occurred sometime between the years 1928 and 1932. Reasons that may have sparked the switch could be disagreement among party members, major issue disputes such as economy, rights, or even money, all of which are evident in today s society. Based on the research stated throughout, the most realistic reason that this phenomenon occurred was because of the failing economy and extremely poor leadership in the white house. The economy in the 1930 s was in a depression, which was the worst depression that the United States has ever experienced. The stock market crashed, inflation was at an all time high, gas prices rose, unemployment was at nearly 25 percent, and the U.S. Dollar was worth nearly nothing. All of this followed by president Herbert Hoover who prolonged the suffering of the United States economy. The people in the extremely poor cities that could no longer afford to live in house or apartments became homeless and consequently built hoovervilles.
