Persuasive Essay On Animal Hunting
The fact is that, despite the obvious immoralities of killing to just take a fur or tooth, it is one of the
only things keeping the animals alive in Africa. That statement probably doesn t make much sense on
the surface, but there are many more variables in the whole idea than just the killing of the animals by
trophy hunters like poachers, the countries individual wealth, and the ability for the countries to
protect the animals in their territories.
It is common knowledge that many animals in Africa are going extinct and it is most definitely
because of the involvement of people. For example, 10,000 15,000 free roaming African lions remain,
down from 50,000 a decade ago and In 1900 there were about 100,000 cheetah worldwide, present
estimates place their number at 10,000 15,000 with about one tenth of those living in captivity.
Because of this many people feel that it is our responsibility to make sure that they survive, or at least
continue as nature would intend. Well that is simply an unrealistic expectation, but we should try to
make sure we don t completely ruin the ecosystems, and trophy hunting is the last in a long line of
problems to be resolved, and as for now it is actually one of the only things helping certain regions
who impose it properly.
The money from this allows countries like Tanzania to pay to protect the animals from to more serious
threat, poaching. Poachers are mainly interested in bush meat, the meat from wildebeests, they then
take the meat and

Comparing Gilgamesh And Hebrew Bible
The two great floods in both the Gilgamesh story and in the Hebrew Bible have many similarities and
have many differences. In both stories the gods planned to destroy the Earth because they did not like
the way that people were behaving and felt that they should be punished for their actions. Like the
story of Noah in the Hebrew Bible, Utanapishtim was warned by a god that a great flood was coming
and that he should build a boat to protect himself, his family and the animals (81). Both gods
instructed the two men to build a boat in specific cubit measurements. After both floods they boats
landed on the mountains and birds were used to find land. Although these two great flood stories have
many similarities they also have a few differences. For instance, in the great flood in Genesis the
length of the boat was 300 cubits, the width was 50 cubits and the height was 30 cubits. In Gilgamesh,
the boat was ten dozen cubits in height and ten dozen cubits square (82). The two floods also did not
last the same amount of time; the flood in Genesis lasted for 40 days and 40 nights whereas the flood
in Gilgamesh only lasted for 6 days and 6 nights. The flood in Gilgamesh was not determined by just
one God like in the story of Noah, but was determined by a group ... Show more content on

It teaches us that the gods are a force to be reckoned with and that when you disobey the gods you will
not be punished lightly. If the humans honor the gods the way that they should then they will have
nothing to worry about. As long as they listen and obey the gods all the days of their lives they will be
protected from harm. In ancient Middle East, it seems as though some people did have a strong
relationship with the gods, maybe because they heard the stories of the great flood and they did not
want that to happen to them. People probably think it s a good idea to be on God s side so they will be

Theme Of Too Much Happiness By Alice Munro
Women throughout the world and in all ages have been the subject of many literary works written in
different literary genres. Lots of literary critics have argued over the role and the status of women in
the world and their self recognition of their economic, social, political, literary, cultural and familial
position in literary works. Thus, women have been the important analytical issue since the dawn of
literature and whatever role they had, they were included in literary works as well as literary canons.
The motif of woman is a universal issue; her oppression, her self entanglement, her self recognition,
her role in society and also in the family, her relation to art, science and nature. All these issues have
been the concern of most authors ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
ANALYSIS OF ALCE MUNRO S SHORT STORIES
The short story collection of Lives of Girls and Women includes eight chapters through which Munro
goes through the details of women s ordinary life and makes this ordinariness extra ordinary to
confirm that a woman can reach mental maturity through the observation of other women around her
and her vital experience of the events. Munro embedded this fact in the protagonist Del who gains
maturity at the end and becomes a creative writer.
Through the observation of her mother (Addie) who reads a lot and sells encyclopedias, Del finds out
that she behaves like a clown and just pretends to be an intellectual. So she doesn t like her mother s
so much enthusiasm, excitement, aggressiveness and showing off as an intellectual. Women should be
equal to men in the way of acquiring knowledge of the world and books but the way her mother shows
off is not desirable both to Del and to people around her.
Her marginalization as someone not to be listened to or respected is presented as a psychological
danger that accompanies maternity. Her autonomy is also undercut by her daughter s perception of her
as someone who brings derision upon herself (Gault, 2006). In addition, Gualt examines Addie s sense
of intellectuality in this

The County Public Schools Set Its Sights High For The...
Gadsden County Public Schools set its sights high for the 2014 15 academic year. Faced with
challenges and changes as the state transitions to new, rigorous standards and assessments, Gadsden
remained steadfast to its creed of No Excuses. As a result, the following milestones were realized:
By far Gadsden most noteworthy achievement during the 20145 15 academic year was a marked
increase in the graduation rates at both of our high schools. Based on the federal four year graduation
calculations published by the Florida Department of Education, Gadsden saw nearly a 9% boost
moving from 56.0% to 65.4%.
Nurturing the body is just as critical as nurturing the soul, which is why the district elected to seek
designation as a Florida Healthy School in 2015. Education begins with helping members in
community understand the importance of nutrition, fitness, and spiritual wellness, for each of the
aforementioned impacts one s overall ability to learn. Through implementation of programs,
infrastructures, and health education courses, Gadsden was recognized as a Bronze level Florida
Healthy School District by the Florida Department of Education s Safe and Healthy Schools Initiative.
In August of 2015, Gadsden County s Havana Magnet School opened its doors to more than 600
elementary and middle school students as the district s newly renovated K 8 school. Havana Magnet
School s guiding mission is to provide a safe and conductive learning environment for all students. In

The Fast and Violent Fall of Societies
Societies fall like comets falling to earth; fast and violently. Rome, Samurai in Japan, the civil rights
era, and the society in the novel delirium fell fast and changed everything. A corrupt government,
citizens in poverty, and lack of rights and freedoms all lead to the downfall of great societies.
Some great societies fall because of a corrupt government, and leaders. The government in the society
of Delirium is ruthless and harsh. They have raids where they make sure everyone is valid. While
checking everyone they are strict, harsh, and unforgiving. The regulators the raiders come inside the
citizen s house, tear their walls down, and look for signs of suspicious activity. All laws are suspended
on raid nights. The government is heartless, and will eliminate everything their way without a second
thought. They will kill animals that are barking too loudly, or kick a child looking at them the wrong
way. The government invades anything social because they are afraid everyone will catch the deliria,
love. When they invade, they let dogs loose, club people, and worst of all they enjoy it. The leaders of
the samurai in Japan were harsh like the government in delirium was. Young samurai went for days
without eating, marched barefoot in snow on long journeys, and held stiff postures for hours without
complaining. In order The young man s fencing master used to whack him with a wooden sword

Judy Bacas Murals Essay
An Inspiration Across Cultures
Public art conquers so much more than the simple task of making the street a little easier to look at. It
involves those who created it, those who supplied the means to create it, and those whose lives it
continues to impact. Wall paintings in particular take an important role in working for a greater good.
Judith F. Baca, a Hispanic American woman and artist activist has contributed an unaccountable
amount to the mural movement in Los Angeles. She has accomplished this by giving individuals the
chance to create art and develop a sense of pride, she has taught younger generations a respect for
their ethnic identity, and from the many walks of life that continue to view her ... Show more content

The simple fact that Baca is a woman is extremely important when it comes to evaluating her impact
on others. Being a woman and reaching out for social change the way that Judy Baca does takes much
dedication and passion. Bell hooks writes about the commodification of women in the art world: ...an
undiscerning marketplace seeks to confine, limit, and even destroy our artistic freedom and practice.
(Hooks 1981, 17). While Baca comes from the historically challenged feminine perspective, she can
reach the youth that she works with because of their disadvantaged perspective as well. They are more
apt to listen and learn from her because she has already overcome the challenge of succeeding in as a
Hispanic American woman in a patriarchal society.
Baca s commitment led her to found the Social and Public Art Resource Center (SPARC) along with
film maker Donna Dietch and artist Christina Schlesinger in Venice, California. SPARC has facilitated
in the creation, preservation and documentation of public art in the Los Angeles area. In this way
SPARC has been able to get the community involved in art and has given a voice to peoples of color.
In addition, the center has organized symposia and exhibitions that draw attention to the multitude of
cultures that make up the area as well as the entire country (Brown 1996, 28).

Essay on Unit 45
Unit 45, Assignment 1 Resources for Health and Social Care.
Explain why resources are presented differently due to the type of media used.
During this Report we will be looking at the different types of resources available for new learners in
Health and social care. I will be reviewing four different types of resources I have researched. I will
also explain why they are presented differently from one another and the different types of ways these
resources can be presented by the media.
Internet The internet is easily accessible and used worldwide. It is a global network and you can find a
wide range of information on any topic via the internet. You can gain access on to the internet by using
a variety of different appliances; ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The book I used as a resource (Understanding Health and Social Care, Second edition, Julia Johnson,
Sage publications, 2010) contained references, so that I knew where the piece of information was
coming from and that it was from a reliable source. It had a contents page, with the chapter and page
number, making it easier for myself to find a particular subject. There was also an index pages, which
helped me to locate useful information. There was a lot of technical words and some jargon in this
book and I did have to make a note of the words I didn t fully understand in order to go back and look
them up to fully understand. Books can be presented by the media through the radio, billboards,
television, social media sites and the internet. Understanding Health and social care is targeted at
students and people working within the Health and social care sector. It is presented differently
because it has lots of references and is updated when new information comes out or when what was
previously written in the book has now become outdated.
Journals A journal is subject based and is written by experts and professionals. A journal is usually
researched based and will be based upon facts with references/ evidence to support the writer s
findings. Journals are known as periodical as they are published at regular intervals which could also
make them a better resource than a book. The resource (Psychology review, volume 20, April 2015)

The Unemployment Rate Of Unemployment Essay
The economy from the beginning of January this year has been stabilized, stats show we have added
one hundred fifty thousand jobs in January. In February, America added another two hundred forty
thousand jobs, being beyond people s expectations believing it would have only been 190,000 jobs.
This situation calmed everyone about the economy s health making the unemployment rate of 4.9, till
now the unemployment rate has remained the same. Many professionals in economics believe that an
unemployment rate of 4.9% is full employment. As of today we are stabled and doing well, companies
have been hiring more people, the minimum wage rose a dollar to ten dollars which means people will
spend more, also the gas is not that costly, car sales are doing better, and even the government deficit
is decreasing. The economy is in better shape than most people believe. Incomes have been higher,
unemployment has dropped, and industrial production has been up there.
With an unemployment rate of 4.9% we are basically at full employment and 2.5% of those employed
being college students who have graduated. Also labor markets are thinking to increase the hourly
earnings. Total payroll employment is higher than the six hundred thousand in the last three months,
and the ratio of employment to population, which has been low for several years, has been much
better. Michael Montgomery an economist shares that with the 4.9 percent, employers have to
compete harder to attain their workers, which means

because he bought a dog than he trained it so it will not bark when he hears scratch at the window. I
thought that he was very quiet because in the book he did not speak much to a cop. The shy man s
motivation for robbing a house was the dog backy because in the book the shy man bought a dog for
30 cents. Than he sold Blacky to man who he fixed his dog so he could sell his dog to him for about
12 cents because he was going to rob his house and he needs a dog to not bark at him when he breaks

Ethnic Stereotypes
Stereotyping of ethnic characters Stereotyping of ethnic characters has been done for decades with the
issue becoming more controversial in todays society. The popularity of films on the dependence of one
s vulnerability is one to familiar for some ethnic groups, like the Asian culture. Hollywood writers and
Directors have a social responsibility to avoid stereotyping ethnic characters. The stereotyping of ethic
culture can have a great impact on todays society by causing self insecurities, sexism, and, racism. In
todays movie films you will see the portrayal of women being displayed as the weak, victim needing
to be saved. This is especially common in the Chinese films throughout Asia, and here in the United
States as well. Why do movies always seem to portray Asian women as tragic victims of history and
fate? Hagedorn (pg. 343) As described in the No Joy, No Luck article, Jessica writes how women are,
and have always been displayed as the victim, or the weak whore in Asian films. This can effect
todays young society by giving them a false image that this is what todays women are. The need to
always be saved by the role male lead and the usual suffering of the woman. The self insecurities that
can develop from these perceptions can lead women and young girls to want to change themselves to
think they need to become better than what they are. Especially in the Asian community, this can lead
to wanting to change their looks therefore, leading them to want plastic

My Personal Goals In Life, And The Purpose Of Life

are many different purposes that can hold a place in your life s journey such as academic, career, and
personal purposes. My overall purpose in life is to be able to have a life that I am proud of and to have
a life that I did not simply settle for. In my career, I hope to be a successful lawyer who has changed

despite what others will say to me. I will also need to keep my goals close to my heart in order to
always be reminded of what it is I am working towards when I am being discouraged. In my academic
life I wish to always be a student in all situations. To be a student in all situations means to me to
always be eager to learn from experiences and in the classroom. Often there is always a want to not be
simply a student in the classroom but it is important to always want to earn and ask questions and to

because I want to learn and not to earn a grade or a nice career. In my assessment one of my strengths

A Research Study On An Academic Research Essay
1.0 Introduction
An academic research involves a comprehensive investigation of theories, principles and decisions
criteria among other study materials with an aim of identifying facts and drawing conclusions.
Ultimately, there are lots of benefits associated with research in learning as well as in solving real life
problems. For instance, it allows for knowledge building through evaluation of existing theories
(Webb, 2007). In this case, the researcher is exposed to research work conducted earlier and the
methodologies that were applied in various cases. As such, research improves knowledge of the
participants. Additionally, research is important in sieving the lies and identifying the facts in a certain
frontier of knowledge. Consequently, this is important in improving theories and making them more
applicable to routine and strategic tasks at both personal and organisational levels. Furthermore,
research is a lifetime opportunity to young scholars that are interested in pursuing research work as
full time careers. In particular, it provides knowledge and background principles that will be used in
future analysis. It is important to note that there are research objectives; as such, it ensures that certain
goals are met at the end of the activity.
Therefore, this paper will entail research on the Perfect Competition Theory to determine its validity
and reliability in market analysis. Firstly, the paper will outline the objectives of the research and

Essay about Colon and Rectum Cancer
The American Cancer Society estimates that over 100,000 men and women living in the United States
will be diagnosed with colon cancer in 2013. Statistically, cancers of the colon and rectum are often
combined and referred to as colorectal cancer. This addition brings the total to over 140,000 affected
individuals with over 50,000 of these diagnoses resulting in death (American cancer society, 2013).
Globally, the impact of this disease reached over one million people in 2008 with over 600,000 deaths
attributed to colorectal cancer (Dusek, Maluskova, Musik, 2013). Colon cancer is preventable with a

When these cells become neoplastic they begin to grow into the layers of the colon and beyond as
well. This event facilitates contact with capillaries and lymph vessels and cancer cells can then break
off and migrate through the entire body (McCartney Oberleitner, 2011). The risk of cancer increases
with age, and colon cancer is included in this factor with 62 being the most common age at diagnosis
(McCartney Oberleitner, 2011). Repeated exposure to carcinogens over time can cause mutations in
DNA, especially in highly mitotic epithelial cells, resulting in cancerous growths. An immune
response in a young and healthy body would destroy the early formation of cancer cells.
Unfortunately, individuals of advanced age suffer a decrease in the capabilities of the immune system.
This puts them at a higher risk of dysplastic cells multiplying in the colon. Genetics may induce the
coding of certain genes within cells to undergo spontaneous mutations. (Labianca, Nordlinger, Beretta,
Brouquet, Cervantes, 2010). This factor produces the cluster of colon cancers seen in families. The
risk of an individual getting cancer of the colon increases when immediate family members have
received a diagnosis in the past. The rate of occurrence decreases when isolated extended family
members develop the disease. However, if several people in one family group such as cousins, aunts
and grandparents are diagnosed, the risk for the rest of the members of that

Stereotypes In Paul Theroux sBeing A Man
There are two types of men portrayed by the media. There is the lazy dad who spends all day sitting in
the recliner eating potato chips and watching television. This man always has his wife taking care of
everything while he is a bumbling fool who can do nothing right. This man is harmless and
unintelligent. Then there is the action hero man. This man has a rugged, muscular build and is usually
very attractive. He can accomplish any task using his fist, but struggles to think through things
logically. Every man sees these two stereotypes and begins to try to fit one of them. This leads the
man to ask himself the question What is a Man? . Being a man is not letting stereotypes define him,
standing firm in his convictions, but being accepting of others at the same time, knowing when or
when not to take action, and having a dream. If asked what does it mean to be a man? the most
common responses would be answers like protector, provider, and taking charge. While there is
inherently nothing wrong with these answers the real problem lies in the fact which all men cannot
live up to these standards. These men are left questioning themselves on their masculinity. A man
should not let stereotypes define him. Paul Theroux addresses many of the common stereotypes in his
essay Being a Man , I was told to take up a sport, get more fresh air, join the Boy Scouts, and I was
urged not to read so much. and
Being a drunkard is another assertion, if misplaced, of manliness... A man proves his manhood in
America in old fashioned ways. He kills lions, like Hemingway; or he hunts ducks. like Nathanael
West; or he makes pronouncements like, A man should carry enough knife to defend himself with, as
James Jones once said to a Life interviewer (Theroux). Theroux addresses these common stereotypes
to prove how futile they are. A man should not let other people s idea of how a man should be
influence them. Many of the stereotypes listed by Theroux are unfeasible and hard for any man to
accomplish, further adding to the futility of them. Scott Russell Sanders compares two common
stereotypes of men in his essay The Men We Carry in Our Minds . Sanders address the stereotype of
the rugged muscular man who works all of his life

The Great Gatsby Theme Essay
In the film The Great Gatsby the themes of love, greed and corruption of the American Dream are all
set in the jazz age of New York City. One of the most prevalent themes of the story is that of love, as
well as its fleetingness. There are no stable relationships in present. Daisy and Tom s marriage has

for Daisy is unshaken till the end. Yet this love is unrealistic based not only on a relationship started
on a lie, but also needing a turning back of time to make it complete. However, Gatsby s love for
Daisy is not true love; it is infatuation based on objectification. She becomes the symbol of everything
he wants, rather than the complex human being she really is. The theme of corruption is consistent

My Science Fiction Story Idea
My science fiction story idea is centered around a robotic mission on a distant planet dedicated to
surveying the surface and analyzing samples in order to determine if it is a possible place to be
colonized. The idea is that the planet in question is so distant that it would take days for a signal to
make its way from the robot to Earth; also taking into account obstructions and other phenomena that
could interfere with the signal it was deemed impractical for the robot to require operators controlling
it. With that in mind, the machine has been given sophisticated pseudo artificial intelligence so that it
can operate for long periods of time without requiring input from humans. The story would follow the
point of view of the robot as it traverses the planet running its tests, all the while transmitting
information back to Earth. I hope to use some of the information mentioned in this paper to inspire the
kinds of things the robot will be doing on its mission as well as how it is designed. Humans have been
sending robots into space since 1957, with the launch of the first Sputnik by the Union of Soviet
Socialist Republics (USSR) on October 4th of that year. While it was merely a spherical satellite sent
to orbit the Earth, there were several scientific functions that it served. It acquired data on the density

Essay on American Women Leaving the Home and Going to Work
One of the most significant sociological changes in the nation s history began in the last decade of the
nineteenth century and the ramifications are still being felt today. This change consisted of the large
numbers of women who entered the work force. This dramatic change in American society was
accompanied by a great deal of controversy and prejudice directed towards women. It was predicted
that female employment would bring about the downfall of society and the change of the American
family.

women, they were also fascinated. Therefore, the attitudes of the public toward these women can be

brothers, etc. and only wanted the jobs so they would have money for nice clothes and extras . Despite
numerous government statistics that demonstrated financial need by many female workers, the
prevailing attitude was that women brought their low earnings on themselves (Kessler Harris 100).
This, of course, totally ignored the government statistics that pertained to immigrant families and
minorities, where family finances were the prime motivating factor towards women joining the work
force (Kessler Harris 123). Additionally, the census figures that showed immigrant wives as not
working failed to take into consideration that these women were usually employed as their husband s
assistants (Anonymous 25; Kessler Harris 124).
Those knowledgeable about working conditions within New York s factories found the facts to be far
different from this scenario. While some women lived at home, many did not. At a weekly wage of
eight to ten dollars per week, these women generally paid five to six of that for their rooms (Barnum

There is plenty of open space where one can have a picnic, so essentially your trip can be extremely
budget friendly. Another inexpensive attraction in downtown Chicago is their iconic Navy Pier. Navy
Pier is known as a tourist hotspot. It includes multiple retail shops, a ferris wheel, an IMAX movie
theatre, a crystal garden, a mirror maze, the children s museum, a number of restaurants, and is the
loading dock to luxurious cruise lines. Split the cab fare with friends to reach the pier and spend the
afternoon sightseeing. There are no fees to enter the pier or crystal garden but there are admission fees
for extra amusements for a reasonable price. After one the evening sightseeing they can either hop on
a dinner cruise or dine at one of the restaurants. After dinner on specific days one can enjoy Navy Pier

firework show free to the public. One can essentially spend the entire day enjoying all what Navy Pier

Federal Reserve Should Raise The Federal Funds Rate
The discussion of whether the Federal Reserve should raise the federal funds rate is a highly
contentious one. Members of the Federal Reserve ( Fed ) and academic economists disagree about
what constitutes appropriate future macroeconomic policy for the Unites States. In the past, the Fed
had been able to raise rates when the unemployment rate was under 5% and inflation was at a target of
2%. Enigmatically, since the Great Recession and despite a strengthening economy, year over year
total inflation since 2008 has averaged only 1.4% as measured by the Personal Consumption
Expenditures Price Index ( PCE ). Today, PCE inflation is at 1 1.5% and has continuously undershot
the Fed s inflation target of 2% three years in a row. (Evan 2015) In the six years since the bottom of
the Great Recession the U.S. economy has made great strides in lowering the published
unemployment rate from about 10% back down to about 5.5%. In light of this data, certain individuals
believe that the Federal Reserve should move to increase the federal funds rate in 2015 because
unemployment is near 5% and inflation should bounce back on its own (Derby 2015). However, this
recommendation is misguided.
Overview
The Federal Reserve should utilize a balanced approach to monetary policy. The current state of the
economy undershot employment and inflation goals presents no conflict in achieving a neutral state.
In fact any action that supports employment growth also moves inflation up toward our target (Evan

Read to OR access to audio materials (books on tape): There is not any reading assigned during this
lesson. This lesson is strictly hands on and collecting data. Therefore, the students will not need to
have access to audio materials. Modifications
How would you modify this lesson for a student on AAA standards who will participate in your class
during this lesson? The student who is on AAA standards will follow the AAA standards necessary for
this lesson. The student will participate in the experiment will the other students. I would pair the
student who requires AAA standards with a group of students who are strong in science and math. The
student will be assigned the least difficult task to participate in with the group. (Day 1 hold the ruler.
Day 2 blow. Day 3 touch the clay.) The student will be assessed by participation with the group. The
student will explain if the group participated in water erosion, wind erosion, and glacier erosion. I will
accept the verbal answer of water for day one, wind for day two, and glacier or ice for day three. I
want the student to participate with the group as much as every other student does.
Assessment
What is one alternate testing method that you could employ to provide students with high incidence
disabilities a better opportunity to demonstrate their understanding? The students are being assessed
by comparing fractions by creating a bar graph comparing the effects of wind and water erosion. An
alternate testing method can be to ask the student which form of erosion made the mountain look
smaller. Depending on how severe the student s disability is, I would ask the student why the
mountain looked smaller compared to the other one.

Blackberry Picking- Seamus Heaney Analysis
Blackberry Picking Seamus Heaney Seamus Heaney is an Irish poet who was born in Mossbawn
farmhouse and spent fourteen years of his childhood there. Many of his poems are based on personal
experience; Mid term Break , for example, was based on the death of his younger brother; and are laid
out in settings akin to those he is familiar to. His poem, Blackberry Picking , is set on a farm and
explores the simple luxury of picking fresh, ripe blackberries, his inspiration quite possibly being his
own childhood. Thematically, the poem explores the idealistic nature of childhood, and the importance
of waking up to reality as one grows older. The beginning of the poem is filled with a vivid passionate
recollection of the seasonal picking of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The line, I always felt like crying. It wasn t fair ties up both, the childish reaction of crying when hit
by the realisation that something good will not last, and the adult resignation to the fact that although
it is never fair, such is life. On a more implicit note, the poem deals with the theme of greed and the
dissatisfaction often involved in attempting to gain an object of desire. The attempt to acquire great
amounts of this object by removing it from its natural setting and hoarding it leads to its destruction
and to the hoarder s disappointment. However, it is also implied that lessons on greed are seldom
learned, Each year I hoped they d keep, knew they would not. Even with the knowledge that his
efforts would be in vain, Heaney writes about how he was compelled to try and store the blackberries
each year, thus bringing out a recurrent greed for the same object. The structure and language of the
poem aid the reader in better understanding and connecting with it. The first part is merely a
recollection that provides information; what time of the year it is, how the blackberries were collected.
There is a lot of enjambment here, and this allows for a free flow of thoughts for the poet, as well as a
better level of connection for the reader. This flow better creates the feelings and emotions of the
poem, and allows the ideas in each line to flow into each other and create one

3. Introduction
Business ethics is a very extensive subject that is not easy to define. According to Andrew Crane and
Dirk Matten (2004: 5), business ethics is the study of business situations, activities and decisions
where issues of right and wrong are addressed. With an increasing globalization, environmental and
social issues have amplified and therefore companies have to take full responsibility for the wrong
impact their actions have. Gap pays a lot of attention to the social issues and challenges that large
companies face, although it had some ethical issues in the past.
Gap Inc. is a large company in the clothing business with over 3,300 stores worldwide. As one of the
World s Most Ethical Companies in 2012 for the sixth straight year, it might be interesting to
investigate the ethical issues that have risen in the past years (Gap Inc., 2013a).
In the first section, this report outlines several ethical difficulties that occurred. Subsequently, some of
Gap Inc. s solutions for a better ethical policy are described. To conclude, some recommendations are
made, but those are limited because of the quick and good solutions Gap came up with in response to
its problems.

University of California, Los Angeles Abstract After working well for more than 5 years, the Fisher
Body General Motors (GM) contract for the supply of automobile bodies broke down when GM s
demand for Fisher s bodies unexpectedly increased dramatically. This pushed the imperfect
contractual arrangement between the parties outside the self enforcing range and led Fisher to take
advantage of the fact that GM was contractually obligated to purchase bodies on a cost plus basis.
Fisher increased its short term profit by failing to make the investments required by GM in a plant

International Contracts And International Sale Contracts
A conflict of laws is a major issue that usually arises in international commercial transactions.
International characters in the transaction create questions, such as which court has jurisdiction over
the case, which law is applicable to the case and will the judgment enforceable. One possible way to
avoid the risk of a conflict of laws is to harmonise laws relating to international sales into uniform law
or a convention for worldwide adoption. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the
International Sale of Goods (CISG), known as the Vienna Convention, is one of the results from the
harmonisation of international trade law. Although there are many supports to this convention, the
argument of its effectiveness still continues and some countries still not ratify.
International sale contracts are not quite similar to domestic sale contracts as the international
character cannot be found in domestic contracts. The first character is the movement of goods which
travel from one state to another state, no matter where the seller s and the buyer s places of business
are. Another character is the different places of business of both parties which means that both parties
have different legal systems. Involving with property, parties or events located in more than one
jurisdiction and the laws of those jurisdictions are different, a conflict of laws issue might arise in a
dispute between parties. The differences between laws of each country also create uncertainty in

Analysis Of Dances With Wolves
The Easterners and Native Americans were thought to live vastly different lifestyles. Most Easterners
were much like John Dunbar, a decorated American lieutenant. They had a desire to see the American
frontier before it vanished from their steady expansion out West. However, Native Americans
inhabited what many regarded as the American frontier, and they along with their tribe vowed to
protect their land from the white men who would only continue to come and ravish the land. Native
Americans are indigenous to the Americas and were not simply curious about expansion, but rather
adamant about protecting the land that had been theirs for years before the white men came about
(Treuer 18). After his display of bravery in war, Lieutenant John J. Dunbar, regarded as a decorated
American hero by his fellow soldiers, set out for the American frontier, later settling into an
abandoned post near an Indian reservation with the help of Timmons, who spewed his thoughts of the
Native Americans to his passenger. Timmons argued the Native Americans were nothing more than
savage thieves and beggars. In Kevin Costner s film, Dances with Wolves, we see the representation
of Native Americans through the use various framing of scenes and costuming as well as the producer
s thoughts on the treatment and representation of Indians. Costner uses Lieutenant John Dunbar to

The Relationship between Science and Religion
The Relationship between Science and Religion The relationship between science and religion will be
analyzed in the following three aspects: conflict, compartmentalization and complementariness.
Conflict An essential question on our own existence is bound to evoke our curiosity: where did we
come from? Charles Darwin, in his theory of evolution, believed that human being was evolved from
apes. However, the Genesis in Bible considered that human was created by God. Undoubtedly, it is
impossible for human to have two sources. Therefore, science and religion hold absolutely contrastive
viewpoints. That s the basic standpoint of Conflict. Science is full of rationality and impersonality,
while religion is filled with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Religious faith is the foundation and motivation of scientific rationality s improvement. To some
extent, religion promoted science. There is a religious saying: God saw the light, that is was good, and
God divided the light from the darkness. This religious faith promoted people to divide light from
darkness, and it directed them towards science. Meanwhile, science reacts upon religion, stimulates
the religious development and achieves religious goals. Both of them are indispensable. Einstein said,
Science without religion is lame; religion without science is blind , From my perspective, science and
religion are not in conflict or incompatible, but complementary and integral. From papermaking
technology used for the printing of the Buddhist Scriptures to the internet served as preaching religion,
both science and religion played an indispensable sole in human beings lives. To some degree, religion
can be a moral guidance for people in adversity and science enhance our living standard. Being
inseparably interconnected with each other will make our world brighter and happier. But both of
them, as a double edged sword, if applied appropriately, would benefit us; if not, they would do harm
to us. Therefore, we should adopt their strong points while overcoming the weak

History, Ethnography, And Eulogy Of Agricola
Written by the Roman historian Tacitus, the Agricola chronicles the life of his father in law Gnaeus
Julian Agricola while also covering the ethnography and history of ancient Britain and Rome. After
the assassination of Domitian in 96 AD, Tacitus used his freedom to publish his work. Tacitus
describes the character of his father in law, by showing how he grew up in a household that
encouraged the study of philosophy and attended to matters of state with honesty and competence.
Tacitus explores different themes in the book including the history, ethnography, and eulogy of
Agricola. Near the beginning of the book, the historian Tacitus admits his disdain towards Domitian s
rule and the profound effect Domitian had on the Roman Empire. Tacitus claims that for fifteen years,
men fell victim to the cruelty of the emperor. He contrasts Nerva and Trajan, the next two emperors,
with their predecessor by stating that Nerva harmonized the old discord between autocracy and
freedom, and Trajan enriched the happiness of our times. Tacitus does not try to hide his contempt
towards Domitian, but he does not dwell on it for very long in the story. During the reign of Domitian,
Agricola has been the most important general involved in the conquest of a great part of Britain.
During his time as a general, his commendable characteristics began to unveil. Over the course of
seven years, the Romans began subjecting the native people of Britain to foreign rule. Tacitus goes

Ventilating your shed is important no matter what the time of year. No matter how hard you try to

Not sure if this is true, then think about all the times you refused to work in it because of these exact

Perhaps one of the most important things you need to think about when trying to decide which of the
different types of shed ventilation is right for you is the size of your shed. For example, a small solar
powered vent might work for a small shed, but would be all but useless in a larger shed. By the same
token, a turbine ventilator is an excellent choice for a large shed but would provide far too much
airflow for a tiny shed.
Is This the Right Choice?
Finding the right type of shed ventilation involves looking at the size of the shed, the materials it is
made from, and what you plan to use it for. At the same time, you need to consider the average high
and low temperatures where

Greek And Roman Gods In Greek Mythology
At some point in my life time rather it be watching the classic Disney movie Hercules , I become
introduced to the Greek and Roman Gods in Mythology. Although the Greek and Romans gods of
mythology have different names in many ways I believe they are alike.
One of the most famous gods in Greek mythology is Zeus. Built with muscle and smarts Zeus is the
Greek god of Mount Olympus. Zeus is Responsible for, keeping order and ruling over all the Greek
gods (Gill, 2014). With the mighty weapon of the thunderbolt Zeus controls the skies. It might not be a
reputation that most people would pride them self s of having but Zeus was openly known for his
mating relations with many goddesses as well as the beautiful mortals here on earth. On the Roman
side there is the also the god know as Jupiter. Just as Zeus Jupiter is built with muscle and smarts with
the mighty weapon of a death defying thunderbolt. However unlike Zeus the roman god ... Show more

The job of Hades is being the cruel lord of the underworld. Hades deadly weapon of choice is
inflicting Thebes with plagues. Apart from being the tumultuous ruler of the dead, Hades is well
known amongst the gods and mortals for being the brother of Zeus and Neptune; which for Hades
might not be such a positive thing due to it may not be easy to live in the lime light of the King of
gods and King of the sea. The Roman counterpart to the cruel Greek god Hades is Pluto. Being the
god of riches is what Pluto is originally known for, however, the background story for Pluto is that he
ruled under the gold mines under the earth contracting the ruler of the dead with a more positive
reputation unlike hades who was known for being cruel. Pluto is not known to have any sort of
weapon but being more peaceful seen more as a gate keeper of the dead. Both Hades and Pluto are
famously known for being the ruler of the underworld with some differences but for the overall picture
being very similar. (Gill,

  • 2. Persuasive Essay On Animal Hunting The fact is that, despite the obvious immoralities of killing to just take a fur or tooth, it is one of the only things keeping the animals alive in Africa. That statement probably doesn t make much sense on the surface, but there are many more variables in the whole idea than just the killing of the animals by trophy hunters like poachers, the countries individual wealth, and the ability for the countries to protect the animals in their territories. It is common knowledge that many animals in Africa are going extinct and it is most definitely because of the involvement of people. For example, 10,000 15,000 free roaming African lions remain, down from 50,000 a decade ago and In 1900 there were about 100,000 cheetah worldwide, present estimates place their number at 10,000 15,000 with about one tenth of those living in captivity. Because of this many people feel that it is our responsibility to make sure that they survive, or at least continue as nature would intend. Well that is simply an unrealistic expectation, but we should try to make sure we don t completely ruin the ecosystems, and trophy hunting is the last in a long line of problems to be resolved, and as for now it is actually one of the only things helping certain regions who impose it properly. The money from this allows countries like Tanzania to pay to protect the animals from to more serious threat, poaching. Poachers are mainly interested in bush meat, the meat from wildebeests, they then take the meat and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Comparing Gilgamesh And Hebrew Bible The two great floods in both the Gilgamesh story and in the Hebrew Bible have many similarities and have many differences. In both stories the gods planned to destroy the Earth because they did not like the way that people were behaving and felt that they should be punished for their actions. Like the story of Noah in the Hebrew Bible, Utanapishtim was warned by a god that a great flood was coming and that he should build a boat to protect himself, his family and the animals (81). Both gods instructed the two men to build a boat in specific cubit measurements. After both floods they boats landed on the mountains and birds were used to find land. Although these two great flood stories have many similarities they also have a few differences. For instance, in the great flood in Genesis the length of the boat was 300 cubits, the width was 50 cubits and the height was 30 cubits. In Gilgamesh, the boat was ten dozen cubits in height and ten dozen cubits square (82). The two floods also did not last the same amount of time; the flood in Genesis lasted for 40 days and 40 nights whereas the flood in Gilgamesh only lasted for 6 days and 6 nights. The flood in Gilgamesh was not determined by just one God like in the story of Noah, but was determined by a group ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If the humans honor the gods the way that they should then they will have nothing to worry about. As long as they listen and obey the gods all the days of their lives they will be protected from harm. In ancient Middle East, it seems as though some people did have a strong relationship with the gods, maybe because they heard the stories of the great flood and they did not want that to happen to them. People probably think it s a good idea to be on God s side so they will be spared on Judgment ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Theme Of Too Much Happiness By Alice Munro Women throughout the world and in all ages have been the subject of many literary works written in different literary genres. Lots of literary critics have argued over the role and the status of women in the world and their self recognition of their economic, social, political, literary, cultural and familial position in literary works. Thus, women have been the important analytical issue since the dawn of literature and whatever role they had, they were included in literary works as well as literary canons. The motif of woman is a universal issue; her oppression, her self entanglement, her self recognition, her role in society and also in the family, her relation to art, science and nature. All these issues have been the concern of most authors ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... ANALYSIS OF ALCE MUNRO S SHORT STORIES The short story collection of Lives of Girls and Women includes eight chapters through which Munro goes through the details of women s ordinary life and makes this ordinariness extra ordinary to confirm that a woman can reach mental maturity through the observation of other women around her and her vital experience of the events. Munro embedded this fact in the protagonist Del who gains maturity at the end and becomes a creative writer. Through the observation of her mother (Addie) who reads a lot and sells encyclopedias, Del finds out that she behaves like a clown and just pretends to be an intellectual. So she doesn t like her mother s so much enthusiasm, excitement, aggressiveness and showing off as an intellectual. Women should be equal to men in the way of acquiring knowledge of the world and books but the way her mother shows off is not desirable both to Del and to people around her. Her marginalization as someone not to be listened to or respected is presented as a psychological danger that accompanies maternity. Her autonomy is also undercut by her daughter s perception of her as someone who brings derision upon herself (Gault, 2006). In addition, Gualt examines Addie s sense of intellectuality in this ... Based on the federal four year graduation calculations published by the Florida Department of Education, Gadsden saw nearly a 9% boost moving from 56.0% to 65.4%. Rome, Samurai in Japan, the civil rights era, and the society in the novel delirium fell fast and changed everything. A corrupt government, citizens in poverty, and lack of rights and freedoms all lead to the downfall of great societies. Some great societies fall because of a corrupt government, and leaders. The government in the society of Delirium is ruthless and harsh. They have raids where they make sure everyone is valid. While checking everyone they are strict, harsh, and unforgiving. The regulators the raiders come inside the citizen s house, tear their walls down, and look for signs of suspicious activity. All laws are suspended on raid nights. The government is heartless, and will eliminate everything their way without a second thought. They will kill animals that are barking too loudly, or kick a child looking at them the wrong way. The government invades anything social because they are afraid everyone will catch the deliria, love. When they invade, they let dogs loose, club people, and worst of all they enjoy it. The leaders of the samurai in Japan were harsh like the government in delirium was. It involves those who created it, those who supplied the means to create it, and those whose lives it continues to impact. In February, America added another two hundred forty thousand jobs, being beyond people s expectations believing it would have only been 190,000 jobs. This situation calmed everyone about the economy s health making the unemployment rate of 4.9, till now the unemployment rate has remained the same. Many professionals in economics believe that an unemployment rate of 4.9% is full employment. As of today we are stabled and doing well, companies have been hiring more people, the minimum wage rose a dollar to ten dollars which means people will spend more, also the gas is not that costly, car sales are doing better, and even the government deficit is decreasing. The economy is in better shape than most people believe. Incomes have been higher, unemployment has dropped, and industrial production has been up there. With an unemployment rate of 4.9% we are basically at full employment and 2.5% of those employed being college students who have graduated. Also labor markets are thinking to increase the hourly earnings. Total payroll employment is higher than the six hundred thousand in the last three months, and the ratio of employment to population, which has been low for several years, has been much better. The popularity of films on the dependence of one s vulnerability is one to familiar for some ethnic groups, like the Asian culture. Hollywood writers and Directors have a social responsibility to avoid stereotyping ethnic characters. The stereotyping of ethic culture can have a great impact on todays society by causing self insecurities, sexism, and, racism. In todays movie films you will see the portrayal of women being displayed as the weak, victim needing to be saved. This is especially common in the Chinese films throughout Asia, and here in the United States as well. Why do movies always seem to portray Asian women as tragic victims of history and fate? Hagedorn (pg. 343) As described in the No Joy, No Luck article, Jessica writes how women are, and have always been displayed as the victim, or the weak whore in Asian films. This can effect todays young society by giving them a false image that this is what todays women are. The need to always be saved by the role male lead and the usual suffering of the woman. The self insecurities that can develop from these perceptions can lead women and young girls to want to change themselves to think they need to become better than what they are. • 13. A Research Study On An Academic Research Essay 1.0 Introduction An academic research involves a comprehensive investigation of theories, principles and decisions criteria among other study materials with an aim of identifying facts and drawing conclusions. Ultimately, there are lots of benefits associated with research in learning as well as in solving real life problems. For instance, it allows for knowledge building through evaluation of existing theories (Webb, 2007). In this case, the researcher is exposed to research work conducted earlier and the methodologies that were applied in various cases. As such, research improves knowledge of the participants. Additionally, research is important in sieving the lies and identifying the facts in a certain frontier of knowledge. Consequently, this is important in improving theories and making them more applicable to routine and strategic tasks at both personal and organisational levels. Furthermore, research is a lifetime opportunity to young scholars that are interested in pursuing research work as full time careers. In particular, it provides knowledge and background principles that will be used in future analysis. It is important to note that there are research objectives; as such, it ensures that certain goals are met at the end of the activity. Therefore, this paper will entail research on the Perfect Competition Theory to determine its validity and reliability in market analysis. Statistically, cancers of the colon and rectum are often combined and referred to as colorectal cancer. This addition brings the total to over 140,000 affected individuals with over 50,000 of these diagnoses resulting in death (American cancer society, 2013). Globally, the impact of this disease reached over one million people in 2008 with over 600,000 deaths attributed to colorectal cancer (Dusek, Maluskova, Musik, 2013). This event facilitates contact with capillaries and lymph vessels and cancer cells can then break off and migrate through the entire body (McCartney Oberleitner, 2011). The risk of cancer increases with age, and colon cancer is included in this factor with 62 being the most common age at diagnosis (McCartney Oberleitner, 2011). Repeated exposure to carcinogens over time can cause mutations in DNA, especially in highly mitotic epithelial cells, resulting in cancerous growths. An immune response in a young and healthy body would destroy the early formation of cancer cells. Unfortunately, individuals of advanced age suffer a decrease in the capabilities of the immune system. This puts them at a higher risk of dysplastic cells multiplying in the colon. Genetics may induce the coding of certain genes within cells to undergo spontaneous mutations. (Labianca, Nordlinger, Beretta, Brouquet, Cervantes, 2010). This factor produces the cluster of colon cancers seen in families. The risk of an individual getting cancer of the colon increases when immediate family members have received a diagnosis in the past. The rate of occurrence decreases when isolated extended family members develop the disease. However, if several people in one family group such as cousins, aunts and grandparents are diagnosed, the risk for the rest of the members of that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 15. Stereotypes In Paul Theroux sBeing A Man There are two types of men portrayed by the media. There is the lazy dad who spends all day sitting in the recliner eating potato chips and watching television. This man always has his wife taking care of everything while he is a bumbling fool who can do nothing right. This man is harmless and unintelligent. Then there is the action hero man. This man has a rugged, muscular build and is usually very attractive. He can accomplish any task using his fist, but struggles to think through things logically. Every man sees these two stereotypes and begins to try to fit one of them. This leads the man to ask himself the question What is a Man? . Being a man is not letting stereotypes define him, standing firm in his convictions, but being accepting of others at the same time, knowing when or when not to take action, and having a dream. If asked what does it mean to be a man? the most common responses would be answers like protector, provider, and taking charge. While there is inherently nothing wrong with these answers the real problem lies in the fact which all men cannot live up to these standards. These men are left questioning themselves on their masculinity. A man should not let stereotypes define him. Paul Theroux addresses many of the common stereotypes in his essay Being a Man , I was told to take up a sport, get more fresh air, join the Boy Scouts, and I was urged not to read so much. and Being a drunkard is another assertion, if misplaced, of manliness... A man proves his manhood in America in old fashioned ways. He kills lions, like Hemingway; or he hunts ducks. like Nathanael West; or he makes pronouncements like, A man should carry enough knife to defend himself with, as James Jones once said to a Life interviewer (Theroux). Theroux addresses these common stereotypes to prove how futile they are. A man should not let other people s idea of how a man should be influence them. Many of the stereotypes listed by Theroux are unfeasible and hard for any man to accomplish, further adding to the futility of them. My Science Fiction Story Idea My science fiction story idea is centered around a robotic mission on a distant planet dedicated to surveying the surface and analyzing samples in order to determine if it is a possible place to be colonized. The idea is that the planet in question is so distant that it would take days for a signal to make its way from the robot to Earth; also taking into account obstructions and other phenomena that could interfere with the signal it was deemed impractical for the robot to require operators controlling it. With that in mind, the machine has been given sophisticated pseudo artificial intelligence so that it can operate for long periods of time without requiring input from humans. The story would follow the point of view of the robot as it traverses the planet running its tests, all the while transmitting information back to Earth. I hope to use some of the information mentioned in this paper to inspire the kinds of things the robot will be doing on its mission as well as how it is designed. Humans have been sending robots into space since 1957, with the launch of the first Sputnik by the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) on October 4th of that year. Essay on American Women Leaving the Home and Going to Work One of the most significant sociological changes in the nation s history began in the last decade of the nineteenth century and the ramifications are still being felt today. This change consisted of the large numbers of women who entered the work force. This dramatic change in American society was accompanied by a great deal of controversy and prejudice directed towards women. It was predicted that female employment would bring about the downfall of society and the change of the American family. Nevertheless, the prejudice against female workers essentially allowed their employers at the various factories to blame the women themselves for their low wages. The standard argument was that these women did not need to work. Part of this concept was that these women were supported by fathers, brothers, etc. and only wanted the jobs so they would have money for nice clothes and extras . Despite numerous government statistics that demonstrated financial need by many female workers, the prevailing attitude was that women brought their low earnings on themselves (Kessler Harris 100). This, of course, totally ignored the government statistics that pertained to immigrant families and minorities, where family finances were the prime motivating factor towards women joining the work force (Kessler Harris 123). Additionally, the census figures that showed immigrant wives as not working failed to take into consideration that these women were usually employed as their husband s assistants (Anonymous 25; Kessler Harris 124). Those knowledgeable about working conditions within New York s factories found the facts to be far different from this scenario. While some women lived at home, many did not. At a weekly wage of eight to ten dollars per week, these women generally paid five to six of that for their rooms (Barnum 7). Women who ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 22. Federal Reserve Should Raise The Federal Funds Rate The discussion of whether the Federal Reserve should raise the federal funds rate is a highly contentious one. Members of the Federal Reserve ( Fed ) and academic economists disagree about what constitutes appropriate future macroeconomic policy for the Unites States. In the past, the Fed had been able to raise rates when the unemployment rate was under 5% and inflation was at a target of 2%. Enigmatically, since the Great Recession and despite a strengthening economy, year over year total inflation since 2008 has averaged only 1.4% as measured by the Personal Consumption Expenditures Price Index ( PCE ). Today, PCE inflation is at 1 1.5% and has continuously undershot the Fed s inflation target of 2% three years in a row. (Evan 2015) In the six years since the bottom of the Great Recession the U.S. economy has made great strides in lowering the published unemployment rate from about 10% back down to about 5.5%. In light of this data, certain individuals believe that the Federal Reserve should move to increase the federal funds rate in 2015 because unemployment is near 5% and inflation should bounce back on its own (Derby 2015). However, this recommendation is misguided. Overview The Federal Reserve should utilize a balanced approach to monetary policy. • 33. International Contracts And International Sale Contracts A conflict of laws is a major issue that usually arises in international commercial transactions. International characters in the transaction create questions, such as which court has jurisdiction over the case, which law is applicable to the case and will the judgment enforceable. One possible way to avoid the risk of a conflict of laws is to harmonise laws relating to international sales into uniform law or a convention for worldwide adoption. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG), known as the Vienna Convention, is one of the results from the harmonisation of international trade law. Although there are many supports to this convention, the argument of its effectiveness still continues and some countries still not ratify. International sale contracts are not quite similar to domestic sale contracts as the international character cannot be found in domestic contracts. The first character is the movement of goods which travel from one state to another state, no matter where the seller s and the buyer s places of business are. Another character is the different places of business of both parties which means that both parties have different legal systems. Involving with property, parties or events located in more than one jurisdiction and the laws of those jurisdictions are different, a conflict of laws issue might arise in a dispute between parties. The differences between laws of each country also create uncertainty in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Analysis Of All Types Of Friends By Judith Viorst In All Kinds of Friends by Judith Viorst, she explains how there is six type of friends: Convenience friends, Special interest friends, Historical friends, Cross generational friends, and Close friends. The one friendship that I can relate to the most would be to a close friend. The one person that I consider to be a close friend would be a tiny little Asian named Brittney. We met during our junior year of high school. How we came to be friends was through a basketball teammate that introduce us while we were hanging out. One of the stories that were laughing about was how Brittney would get into drama with other girls, but it was funny because she kept saying the word beef , beef also meaning drama as well and it sounded funny because of the how she would say the word. However, the controversy against this is that there is no scripture in the Bible in support of this point; it is an abomination to pray to the death. • 36. Analysis Of Dances With Wolves The Easterners and Native Americans were thought to live vastly different lifestyles. Most Easterners were much like John Dunbar, a decorated American lieutenant. They had a desire to see the American frontier before it vanished from their steady expansion out West. However, Native Americans inhabited what many regarded as the American frontier, and they along with their tribe vowed to protect their land from the white men who would only continue to come and ravish the land. Native Americans are indigenous to the Americas and were not simply curious about expansion, but rather adamant about protecting the land that had been theirs for years before the white men came about (Treuer 18). After his display of bravery in war, Lieutenant John J. Dunbar, regarded as a decorated American hero by his fellow soldiers, set out for the American frontier, later settling into an abandoned post near an Indian reservation with the help of Timmons, who spewed his thoughts of the Native Americans to his passenger. Timmons argued the Native Americans were nothing more than savage thieves and beggars. In Kevin Costner s film, Dances with Wolves, we see the representation of Native Americans through the use various framing of scenes and costuming as well as the producer s thoughts on the treatment and representation of Indians. Costner uses Lieutenant John Dunbar to display the representation of Native Americans in the American culture seen primarily through the frames that also depict the ... • 37. The Relationship between Science and Religion The Relationship between Science and Religion The relationship between science and religion will be analyzed in the following three aspects: conflict, compartmentalization and complementariness. Conflict An essential question on our own existence is bound to evoke our curiosity: where did we come from? Charles Darwin, in his theory of evolution, believed that human being was evolved from apes. However, the Genesis in Bible considered that human was created by God. Undoubtedly, it is impossible for human to have two sources. Therefore, science and religion hold absolutely contrastive viewpoints. That s the basic standpoint of Conflict. Science is full of rationality and impersonality, while religion is filled with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Religious faith is the foundation and motivation of scientific rationality s improvement. To some extent, religion promoted science. There is a religious saying: God saw the light, that is was good, and God divided the light from the darkness. This religious faith promoted people to divide light from darkness, and it directed them towards science. Meanwhile, science reacts upon religion, stimulates the religious development and achieves religious goals. Both of them are indispensable. Einstein said, Science without religion is lame; religion without science is blind , From my perspective, science and religion are not in conflict or incompatible, but complementary and integral. From papermaking technology used for the printing of the Buddhist Scriptures to the internet served as preaching religion, both science and religion played an indispensable sole in human beings lives. To some degree, religion can be a moral guidance for people in adversity and science enhance our living standard. Being inseparably interconnected with each other will make our world brighter and happier. But both of them, as a double edged sword, if applied appropriately, would benefit us; if not, they would do harm to us. Therefore, we should adopt their strong points while overcoming the weak ... • 39. History, Ethnography, And Eulogy Of Agricola Written by the Roman historian Tacitus, the Agricola chronicles the life of his father in law Gnaeus Julian Agricola while also covering the ethnography and history of ancient Britain and Rome. After the assassination of Domitian in 96 AD, Tacitus used his freedom to publish his work. Tacitus describes the character of his father in law, by showing how he grew up in a household that encouraged the study of philosophy and attended to matters of state with honesty and competence. Tacitus explores different themes in the book including the history, ethnography, and eulogy of Agricola. Near the beginning of the book, the historian Tacitus admits his disdain towards Domitian s rule and the profound effect Domitian had on the Roman Empire. Tacitus claims that for fifteen years, men fell victim to the cruelty of the emperor. He contrasts Nerva and Trajan, the next two emperors, with their predecessor by stating that Nerva harmonized the old discord between autocracy and freedom, and Trajan enriched the happiness of our times. Tacitus does not try to hide his contempt towards Domitian, but he does not dwell on it for very long in the story. During the reign of Domitian, Agricola has been the most important general involved in the conquest of a great part of Britain. No matter how hard you try to ignore this simple fact, the reality is that your shed is too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. Not sure if this is true, then think about all the times you refused to work in it because of these exact reasons. Along with temperature, a non ventilated shed leads to a buildup of mildew and chemical fumes that go a long way towards making you sick. The Stuff in Your Shed: Unless you are a bit odd, you probably use your shed not only as a workspace but also for storage. Excess heat, cold, and moisture can have a seriously adverse effect on everything in your shed, ruining much of it. This, of course, will result in your having to spend a fortune replacing everything that has been damaged. Your Options for Ventilation There are a number of different options when it comes to the proper ventilation for your shed. Most of which can be at least somewhat effective, while others work amazingly well. There are, as you might expect, several issues you need to take into consideration when trying to decide which type of ventilation is right for your shed. It s All about Size Perhaps one of the most important things you need to think about when trying to decide which of the different types of shed ventilation is right for you is the size of your shed. For example, a small solar powered vent might work for a small shed, but would be all but useless in a larger shed. By the same token, a turbine ventilator is an excellent choice for a large shed but would provide far too much airflow for a tiny shed. Is This the Right Choice? Finding the right type of shed ventilation involves looking at the size of the shed, the materials it is made from, and what you plan to use it for. At the same time, you need to consider the average high and low temperatures where ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Although the Greek and Romans gods of mythology have different names in many ways I believe they are alike. One of the most famous gods in Greek mythology is Zeus.
