the Boy Scouts, heard about an injured hawk on a hiking trail close to where they were working,
they decided to go check it out. Little did they know at the time that by doing so, they would be
fired.
Although it was her day off, Eliana Bookbinder put on her uniform and asked her boss if she
could call the Wildlife Center of Virginia once the bird was found. She was told that he would
have to check with the Goshen superintendent. So Bookbinder headed out on her search for what
she thought at the time was a hawk. But when she finally found the injured bird, she realized it was
actually a bald eagle.
Bookbinder texted her boss a photo and also called him to discuss the eagle. Instead of approval,
she was met with an order to not call the wildlife rehabilitation center, or transport it to a wildlife
veterinarian.

I have been playing since I was at least in Kindergarten. I did a camp with Mr. Donner and that is
where I made most of my friends. Almost all of my friends play basketball so that is when we can
all get together and have fun at the same time while having a practice. I also played basketball
for the CEGCYRA from 1st grade till last year on the 6th grade travel team. Our basketball team
was pretty good we only lost to one team and that was El Paso Gridley. Ever since they have been

On Sunday April 17th, 2016 the curtain time was 2pm. I had the experience to see a play, which
was, required reading in high school, which left a memory in my mind and other classmates.
The play was To kill a Mocking Bird by Christopher Sergel, based on the novel by harper lee. The
manatee players in collaboration with legal aid of Manasota preformed the play. The
performance was held at manatee preforming arts center in the Kiwanis theatre, the ticket prices
was thirteen dollars for students. This award winning production of this play has also been on
film. The novel sold over fifteen million copies. This play takes place in Macomb, Alabama this
was a time in the history of America when citizens were in a struggle with the civil rights
movement. In this play the goal is to help you understand racism and the effects of social
injustice. To summarize the play it is about a black man whom is accused of forcing himself on a
white girl and sexually assaulting her. A white attorney who does not measure people by he color
of their skin or social economic status represents him. The characters represent the stereotypes of
