been two sides arguing this law. One side says that if a person is allowed to vote at

On Friday, June 5th, Megan Crews and I attended a community support group
meeting at New Horizon Church of Christ. This meeting was a for teens and young
adults that were experiencing issues of emotional abuse, substance abuse, sexual
abuse, depression, co dependency, and anything else that was causing them
struggles. The Landing (what this group is called), is a daughter program of
Celebrate Recovery, which has been helping people in different communities for 20
years. This collection of groups is faith based and helps the whole family, not just
the individual experiencing the problem. It is set up as a fifty two week program,
based on principles that Jesusshared in the Sermon on the Mount. They use a 12
step program model using Jesus Christ as their focus and not psychological theory.
There are over 20,000 programs in churches around the world. The programs have
also had great success being used in the prison system. Since the beginning of
these programs, many people have found peace and healing from their issues,
hurts, and habits. The meeting began with group leader (who works at NEFSH,

INTRODUCTION After the atrocities suffered by the Jewish people at the hand of
the Nazi regime, the United Nations formed the U.N. Convention on the Prevention
and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (UNCG), dedicated to the understanding
and prevention of future genocides. The UNCG defines genocide as acts committed
with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious
group. Genocides have occurred on almost every continent and the UNCG has had
little impact on prevention. Indeed, 2since its creation in 1951 the world has seen a
rise in genocides beginning in 1975 in Cambodia, followed by the horrors in
Yugoslavia in 1992, then Rwandain 1994, and the on again off again atrocities in
Darfur since 2003 (Maddox). The causes of each of these genocides are as unique
as the topography of the land they occur on and as varied as the languages and
cultures of the people involved. The genocide occurred in Rwanda in Central Africa
between April 6, 1994 and July 1994. The decades of unjust treatment by Belgium
favored the Tutsi tribe and the assassinations of the Rwandan president and Burundi
