Mla Format In Essay
Writing an essay on the MLA format might initially seem like a straightforward task, given the
seemingly rigid guidelines set by the Modern Language Association. However, delving into the
intricacies of adhering to these guidelines can reveal a level of complexity that demands attention
to detail and a thorough understanding of the rules.
Firstly, mastering the basic elements of MLA formatting, such as margins, font size, and line
spacing, is just the tip of the iceberg. Properly citing sources using in-text citations and
constructing a comprehensive Works Cited page requires a nuanced understanding of various
source types, from books and articles to online resources and interviews. The meticulous
formatting of each citation according to the specific rules set by MLA adds another layer of
challenge.
Moreover, the rules surrounding the incorporation of quotations, paraphrases, and summaries
within the text demand careful consideration. Striking the right balance between the student's
original voice and the integration of external sources while avoiding plagiarism can be a delicate
task.
Assembling a coherent and well-structured essay in MLA format involves more than just
following a template. Ensuring smooth transitions between paragraphs, crafting a compelling
thesis statement, and developing a logical flow of ideas are essential components that require
careful attention. Additionally, meeting the length requirements while maintaining substance and
relevance adds an extra layer of difficulty.
In essence, writing an essay on the MLA format is not just about mechanical adherence to rules;
it's about synthesizing information, constructing a compelling argument, and presenting it all
within the constraints of a specific formatting style. The challenge lies in the intersection of
content and structure, where a writer must seamlessly weave their ideas with the technical
intricacies of the MLA format.
If tackling such a task becomes overwhelming, remember that assistance is available. Similar
essays and much more can be ordered on HelpWriting.net, providing a valuable resource for
those navigating the complexities of academic writing.

Beneficial Properties of Edible Weeds
All too often, homeowners and gardeners wage war in their lawns and gardens
against the plants that grow incredibly well there, but that aren t intentionally planted,
and many times, the justification for these battles all comes down to the words we
use to describe them.
When we buy and plant packets of common flower, vegetable, or herb seeds, we
spend a lot of time, energy, and water in our efforts to get those seeds to germinate
and grow, and take pride in our green thumb and homegrown food supply.
But when a plant that we identify as being a weed is found growing in our lawn or
garden, out comes the trowel and hoe (or for the ruthless and impatient gardeners,
weedkillers such as RoundUp), and we may spend the entire growing season
keeping these opportunistic and resilient plants at bay, in order to have neat and tidy
garden beds and uniform lawns. And it s too bad, really, as many of the common
garden weeds are not only edible and nutritious, but can be a great homegrown (and
free) addition to our meals.
Part of the resistance to eating plants that we believe to be weeds, in my opinion, is
that we are conditioned to only consider the items we find in the grocery store as
food, and not things that the rest of the neighborhood sees as unwelcome invaders
in lawns and gardens. And unless we ve been exposed to eating plants that are seen
as common garden weeds, and had them prepared for us, we re probably not likely
to try to eat them on our own. Once in a while, we might
Prussian Military Reforms Essay
Innovation and Evolution:
Prussian Military Reforms of the 19th Century
The concept of war as a static and unchanging occurrence is an outdated and
dangerous miscalculation. More accurately, war is a fluidic, evolving and shifting
phenomenon constantly reinventing itself, rendering stagnant, inflexible principles
potentially disastrous. Consequently, as students of war and future players in this
transforming theatre, the study of eras of significant development is an extremely
relevant pursuit. Recognizing the need for adaptation and the creation of doctrine is
now a prerequisite for any effective modern commander. War is unpredictable in
nature and particularly so in current theatres of operation, in which change is rapid ...

These developments influenced most of the powerful nations of Europe and were
soon repeated in similar forms around the world. Furthermore, many of the Prussian
enhancements in army doctrine are the foundation of the command structures of
many modern militaries today.
Although his armies enjoyed unprecedented successes and expanded the French
Empire from Spain to the steppes of Russia, the Napoleonic way of war was fraught
with deficiencies. Due to the Napoleon s genius and mastery of this period of military
manoeuvres, he was able to forestall the affects of the inherent limitations of his
system until the war of the Sixth Coalition (1813) and eventually the fateful battle
of Waterloo (1815). One the most significant, intrinsic flaws in Napoleon s system
was related to issues of command. During the beginnings of Napoleon s career, he
commanded armies of sizes up to 60 000 troops. In Italy in 1796, he commanded a
force of just 38 000. With the increasing sizes of forces in the later empire, due to
concepts such as levee en masse and recruitment legislation of 1792, the inability of
a single commander to control such vast forces was becoming apparent. The sheer
immensity of the forces now mustered was unprecedented. In 1812 the Grande
Armee, consisted of a staggering 611 000 soldiers. Much to the hindrance of the later
empire, few, if any officers in the Grande Armee, besides Napoleon himself, could
command forces
Kanye West Influence On Society
Art is known for producing unsightly items, which gain beauty with time. On the
other hand, fashion is known for producing items of exquisite beauty, which
depreciate with time. With such a phenomenon plaguing society, fashion creates an
imposition and reign on freedom on many, allowing us to make ourselves slaves to
this great folly. Fashiontherefore has the unique power of eradicating one s self
identity, and conforming society to a homogenous structure. However, throughout
history, we are given the opportunity to live amongst individuals who aim to
challenge these phenomena and ideologies, which society has grown so accustomed
to, with one of these figures being the infamous Kanye West. Yet, despite his
intentions to eliminate this phenomenon... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

famous family wearing the rare shoes, allotted times in his interviews with details
on the collection s launch and even allotted times in his concerts to rant about his
disgust for the Nike brand but yet praise his seemingly superior shoes. By utilizing
his wife s family, the Kardashians, who are well known for their presence on social
media with even apps documenting their lives which people pay to gain such
privileged access, and have a notably large fan base, Kanye West effectively
managed to create hype for these shoes, as the Kardashian family is a patriarch
which many wish to be like. Therefore, with such influential power in society,
Kanye West managed to not only create hype for these shoes, but also a worldwide
frenzy. Additionally, Kanye West is known for his outrageous rants, with all of them
never managing to go unnoticed in the tabloids. Through his rants in his concerts
and on interviews which he rarely does, with some rants lasting as much as twenty
minutes on the sole topic of shoes and his dispute with Nike, Kanye West elevated
the hype for his shoes, as people firstly became intrigued by the drama and then the
shoes. With such a broad range of effective advertising methods, Kanye West was
able to create such a great hype for his shoes, everyone wanted to get their hands on a
pair. Similarly, Horkheimer and Adorno recognize the importance of advertising in
the culture industry, with its power to turn all participants into listeners and
authoritatively subjects them to broadcast programs which are all exactly the same

Pet Overpopulation
Having a bond with an animal is one of the best things you could ever experience in
this world. Pets have been proven to improve your mood and health in many
unnoticed ways. Pets help with loneliness, they help with reducing stress and anxiety,
and they can also help increase your exercise. Having a petprovides you with a
companion for life that will show you unconditional love and affection, if you will
show it back. Owning and caring for a pet may even help you live longer. But
where do these pets come from? Pet overpopulation is a topic that generally goes
unnoticed unless you are a pet owner yourself. Every year, millions of cats and dogs
are euthanized in local animal shelters. This is due to the reason that there are more
pets out... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Applicants for dog adoptions must have a fenced in yard that is fenced on all sides,
or a fenced kennel area. This rule is based on dogs that do not have access to a fenced
in area are much harder to housebreak and are more likely to escape, roam and
become a neighborhood nuisance.
So if you have over 5 acres of land and no neighbors for at least a mile, have lived
there for years and have no young children, because your land is not fenced in you
cannot adopt a dog. This rule is very unfair and causes a lot of dogs to not be
adopted. Most people are completely capable of taking care of a dog but they are
denied because they do not have a fenced in yard. Fencing your yard is not easy and
definitely not cheap to do. If someone is willing to spend almost 1,000 dollars to
house and take care of a dog who cares if your yard is fenced in or not.
Of course, the animal shelter rules and regulations are set up to try and stop pets
from returning to the shelter and pet overpopulation but it also makes it a lot
harder for a great family to adopt a dog. A fenced yard nowadays, is pretty hard to
come by unless the homeowner has put one in themselves. A pet should be able to
run and roam wherever it wants, and if it is a good pet it will listen and come right
back to you when you call it. There is really no need to have a fenced in yard unless
the dog doesn t listen, then take it out on a leash until
A Brief Note On Clean Water And Sanitation
Every year in developing countries, millions are suffering and dying due to
hazardous sanitation conditions and unclean water. This can be prevented. Many
developing countries lack in water and sanitation, as a result millions die every year.
Health plays a big factor in sanitation and water in developing countries. There are
many inexpensive and effective alternatives to clean water and safe sanitation. Access
to water and sanitation increased from 1990 to 2002. Many challenges and obstacles
are existent. With every challenge there is a solution. The solution can only be
overcome through technology, research, collaboration, and engineering problem
solving for future.
Imagine the impact on public health if no water services for toilets, faucets, and
sinks to address for our daily needs. For billions of people all over the world, this is
unfortunately a reality. Approximately 1.1 billion (ACS) people don t have access to
improved drinking water and estimated 2.6 billion (ACS) individuals live without
any type of water services. From 2005 2015, The World Health Organization(WHO)
wanted to establish a system that will provide full access to safe drinking water and
sanitation by 2015.
Sanitation is vital to global health and is a larger problem then the lack of water.
Sanitation is the conditions relating to public health especially the provision of clean
drinking water and adequate sewage disposal. These conditions in the developing
world are due to the lack of sanitation,
Tesco Valuation
Aim of the report
The aim of the report is to use different valuation techniques to see if the current
share price of Tesco plc is fair, undervalued or overvalued. Some of the findings will
be compared with other firms in the same industries and share holders will be
informed on whether they should buy, hold or sell.
Background information on Tesco
Tesco is the largest supermarket retail chain in the United Kingdom with Sainsbury
being their closest rival. It is also the third largest retail chain in the world. In the
beginning Tesco started off by selling basic groceries before diversifying into many
different markets. In 2007 Tesco was operating in the following fields:

There are many other factors that will have a say in a firms share price. All of which
can have an effect on a share price if there is a slight change in their figures or
prospects.
Earning Based Valuation
Price to Earnings Ratio (PER) refers to the fact how long a shareholder has to wait
to recover the cost of purchasing the share. PER is directly affected by the market
valuation of a share. Tesco has a PER of 18.1p in the year 2007. This is above the
competitor s average PER in the same industry (appendix 1). Sainsbury has the
highest PER but this doesn t suggest they are shares are more profitable than the
other three companies. This suggests they earnings are expected to increase at a
quicker rate than their rivals. Sainsbury PER is high this year but this is because
their EPS for prior years were quite low which meant they were not really profitable
in the previous years. Tesco have had a stable growth when it comes to EPS so their
PER has also been stable.
The two problems with using PER are that it is calculated using accounting profits
and based on historical information. Accounting can be biased or even miscalculated
which can lead to a wrong PER figure.
Price to Sales Ratio (PSR)
Cyber Crimes Over Recent Years And The Social Affects
Literature Review Study
During this literature review, I will be explaining the increase in cyber crimes over
recent years and the social affects this has in current society. Furthermore, this
literature review will also focus on the topic of digital forensics and the problems
that investigators have against the ever growing number of cyber crimes. However,
the main part of this literature review is to discuss the topic of Steganography and
how this is used in the world of cyber crime for malicious intent. This will lead to the
analyses of process it takes to use steganography and to critically evaluate the
methods that are already in use for hiding information using steganography and also
to detect if Steganography has been used on an image.
Cyber Crime:
Throughout the years, the internet has become a place that has interconnected this
world as people now have the freedom to use computers from their own homes,
making such this as; communicating, researching and entertainment a lot easier than
1980 s, making life much more convenient for the users. However, the internet isn t
always used for good. It also allows the possibility of crimes such as identify theft,
credit card fraud etc.
Cyber crime is a crime committed or facilitated via the Internet also Cybercrime is
any criminal activity involving computers and networks. [2] an example of this
would be if a person used multiple networks to transmit malicious software over the

Examples Of Madness In The Streetcar Named Desire
The streetcar Named Desire is a very complex and engaging book with 3 different
themes, desire and fate, death and madness. I chose to be Blanche DuBois in scene
8 and scene 10 as it sets the theme, madness.Like the other major themes of the play
desire and fate, and death madness too was Tennessee Williams s obsession. His
sister Rose s strange behaviour which had long been a source of anxiety to her
parents, later took the form of violent sexual fantasies and accusations against her
father. Not only did Tennessee Williamsfeel guilty for not having saved Rose from
all this, but he now feared for his own sanity because the mental illness that afflicted
Rose might be hereditary. He certainly did have a breakdown of sorts in his early
twenties.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Her illusions, the very establishment of her life, are pulverised and this reflects the
rot in her energy, status, and mental limit. Toward the begin of the play, she is
obviously indicated to be somebody who is clutching the picture of an advanced
and dainty character that originates from a distinguished society however by Scene
10, she has ended up completely mindful that this is a daydream which is the
reason she hammers the mirror face down at the very begin of the scene as she has
understood that she is not able to trick herself any longer. At the point when Stanley
shows up, she is compelled to envision that she has gotten a telegram from Shep
Huntleigh with a specific end goal to escape the truth that she is being constrained
out by Stanley and that Mitch generally won t needs her. At the point when Stanley
poses a question about the telegram, and Blanche answers What telegram? , it gets to
be very apparent to the group of onlookers that this was all affectation; Stanley
pulverises Blanche s fancies and makes her face reality. Also, Blanche s craziness gets
to be more obvious through the shocking reflections and peculiar shadow that
encompass her. Her assault symbolises her last annihilation to the values that Stanley
s general public speaks to and the termination of the ethics and estimations of the

Graphic design services these days (like any services these days) have been on a
downward slide for some time now (in this Designer s opinion). Take logos for
example. I can t tell you how many logos I see out there featuring a swoosh or swipe
looking graphic that shoots out as though orbiting the text that makes up the logo. I
would like to tell you that the Designers who created the thousands of swoosh
logos out there, utilized this staple of design because it was the best solution for

They should have an About Page, a resume or some form of credentials available
on their website. If they don t then its time to leave that website. I do not
recommend testimonials because these days there is no way to verify where these
wonderful comments came from. Stick to the facts and information that can be
verified if need be. If you are paying hundreds of dollars or more for design services
then you had better see some years of experience on that Designer s resume. Where
did they get their education and did they actually even major in Graphic Design?
What does their job history look like. Have they really been a Graphic Designer at
every job in their resume? It is worth it to do a little research because chances are
you are going to need more design work done in the future and wouldn t it be great
to have a Designer you can depend

striking event which can t be predicted and makes wonder. Miracles are the events
which are unusual, extraordinary and unexpected. It is believed that miracles are
caused by a supernaturalpower. It is believed that they are also part of the religious

he stated that no testimony is sufficient to establish a miracle, unless the testimony be
of such a kind, that its falsehood would be more miraculous, than the fact, which it

reports or statements and there are no testimonials for miracles. For example, Jesus

Puritanical Deception (1000) Emigrating from the Old World to purify the Church of
England, the Puritan society was one of very strict religious beliefs. Believing in
living plainly, the Puritans denounced those who went against their ways. They even
excoriated fellow members of their community if a sin was bound to ones name. One
sin in particular, adultery, was seen as a contravention to the covenant that the
Puritans had established with God. Church leaders believed that unless the sinners
were chastised, God would punish the whole community for a sin of such a
magnitude. Despite having a sought out system of punishment for sinners, the
tougher task for these leaders was to figure out who in fact was a sinner, as some did
not confess. Those who did not confess or who had not been caught would behave
hypocritically in order to preserve their reputation and avoid punishment. In both
Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Scarlet Letter and Arthur Miller s The Crucible, the
repercussions of committing adultery are exhibited through characters in two
different puritanical societies. Arthur Dimmesdale, Hester Prynne, John Proctor, and
Abigail Williams are all victims to this. Despite living in sincere societies, these
characters behave hypocritically in order to hide a concealed truth, resulting in
internal ignominy, until they ultimately confess.
Arthur Dimmesdale shows his guilt and
Bikini Bottom Marxist Theory
Marx s Bikini Bottom When a child is watching the television show SpongeBob
SquarePants, it is often viewed as an innocent, comical, cartoon about a Sponge and
his day to day activities. But later in life, after learning about Marx s Theory, one
can explain the correlation between the two polar opposites. Marx s Theory is the
political and economic philosophy of Karl Marxand Friedrich Engels in which the
concept of class struggle plays a central role in understanding society s allegedly
inevitable development from bourgeois oppression under capitalism to a socialist and
ultimately classless society ( Marxism). The entire town of Bikini Bottom is exactly
how a Marxist City would be set up, with each level of the social structure
demonstrated with different characters in different classes; poor, middle, and upper.
The lowest class in the today s social structure would be considered the poor, which
is often viewed as lazy, education lacking people who are not willing work in order
to move up through the social structure. Patrick, one of the main characters in
SpongeBob SquarePants, presents these views to be true while he is participating in
his role in Bikini Bottom. He has no source of income, does not attend school, has
little belongings and lives under a rock. In episode 13 of season 9 he refers to his
unemployment as funemployment when he tries to convince SpongeBob that he
does not need to work (Hillenburg). Another character displayed is Plankton. He is

Essay On Unconditional Basic Income (UBI) In Canada
INTRODUCTION The debate over implementing an unconditional basic income

beneficial for Canadian citizens, encouraging freedom of opportunity for every
person, regardless of their financial status. In addition, it will look at how different
ideological affiliations affect one s opinion on the subject. The concept has been
tried previously in Canada, namely in Dauphin, Manitoba in the late 1970s as an

One reason for this is because many people view the oil fields to be assets owned by
individual citizens and not the government; therefore what they do with their

the fund s economic effects will stir up suspicions that they may be planning a change
in the future (Goldsmith 2004, 555). Informal attempts to learn about citizens
spending habits after receiving the cheque show that the money is often used shortly
after distribution. Many economists believe that the income is often spent on
consumer durable goods, a reasonable assumption considering it is received before
the Christmas shopping season. These spending patterns would provide increased

These different shifts depict the number of customer service employees and the time
frames they are scheduled. The home improvement retail industry has two types of
customers; the professional/contractor and the do it yourself individual. These
customers differentiating shopping trends and support needs are taken into
consideration when scheduling employees for the floor. In evaluating the proposed
schedule, business trend, customer demographic and operating shifts were taken into
consideration when allocating customer service employees during operating hours.
Schedule Shifts
The majority of professional/contractor customers shop during early hours of the
morning which is known as the opening shift (7am 10am). Professional/contract
customers are experienced and have knowledge of the merchandise that they need
and where it s located in the store given their visit frequency. Given these facets, the
number of customer service employees on the floor is much higher than is needed.
The proposed employee numbers are higher than needed and I recommend the AMC
advance planners schedule estimates for the times between 7am and 11am be used.
Using AMC advance planners estimated schedule provides lower staffing costs and
gives you the ability to utilize the employees at a different time during store
The Drug Of The United States
As U.S. Drug Policy has become more politicized, the number of laws for using, and
possessing illegal substances has increased, and the number of those using illicit
drugs has risen. Though drug policies were created with the intent of protecting the
public, a gap has developed between different groups the drugwarriors and the
legalizers . These polarizing groups advocate opposing, often politically driven views
that result in overly punitive drug penalties that are expensive, racially disparate, and
totally ineffective. Consequently, movements inspiring a drug counter culture against
this oppression has emerged in America and illicit drug use has increased. By the
second half of the 20th century the major importation of illegal narcotics and the drug
war were just getting started.
When the Supreme court upheld national prohibition in 1920, the politicians and
citizens were split on the issue. In fact, Woodrow Wilson vetoed the law but was

Federal Prohibition Code was the first complete national prohibition law ever adopted
by any great nation... this decision will be the judicial foundation upon which
prohibition will rest through the ages. Drinking was still just as common during
prohibition and more laws didn t result in less usage. Prohibition wouldn t last and
would be struck down in 1933 by the U.S. constitutions twenty first amendment.

to elicit the desired response (a vote for the candidate being advertised). These ads
have also been present since the 1950 s but have intensified over time in the
juxtaposition of visual and audio imagery, and the fact being stated. They have
progressed from the Eisenhower Answers America Campaign where perhaps an
incisive comment about how the Democrats before him raised taxes was elicited by
the President, to President Lyndon Johnson s ad against Barry Goldwater that
displayed a map of the United States where the eastern seaboard was being cut off
by a saw. This imagery, both audio and visual, was accompanied by a narrator s
quoting of Goldwater saying he wished the eastern seaboard could be sawed off and
let drift into the ocean. The height of this type of advertising was seen in the 1988
campaign between then Vice President George H. Bush and Massachusetts Governor
Michael Dukakis. Bush s campaign ad displaying
The Effects Of Guns On The Side Of Guns
Welcome to our World where there are continuous debates on whether guns are
beneficial to society or deleterious. As generations come and go, more concerns
come about on how people will be able to live safe lives as guns keep increasing in
their number. Guns being used by officers to protect the innocent, by criminals to
commit mass shooting, or by the average individual who use it for their personal
protection, guns cause violence in some sense of the word. When the topic of guns
are brought up, the subject becomes very polarizing, there are those who defend gun
rights to death and those that wish to abolish guns altogether. Reasons why I fall onto
the side of guns causing more violence than safety are the stories of mass shootings,...

This is not the only instance either, in Paris January 7,2015, a magazine company
Charlie Hebdo prints pictures of the Muslim Prophet Muhammad, this is strictly
forbidden in their religion. These pictures portray Muhammad in many different
vulgar scenarios causing great unrest in the muslim community. Masked gunmen
appeared at the scene with AK 47s and killed 12 people, 2 police officers, the editor,
and nine staff members (VINOGRAD 1.) These individuals showed expertise with
their weapons and had planned attack on this building, again gun use shows
numerous people dying at the hands of other individuals who had access to guns.
Weather or not these guns were obtained legally or if these people should have had
them does not excuse the fact that these individuals obtained these guns and
committed horrendous acts with them. And no matter who had a gun to stop these
people, those individuals were not in the defence of the victims at the time. An
argument brought up for many gun activists is that we need guns to protect
ourselves from other people with guns, the good need to stop the bad but yet we
allow the bad to have weapons anyway.
When it comes to the argument to uphold gun rights, advocates state that if
individuals learned how to use guns they would be able to stop wrong doers. Such
as the case of Charles Augusto, a New York resident who was faced with four
robbers entering his place of business threatening him and his employees with a pistol.
Shakespeare-In-The-East Church Research Paper
Recently, I ventured out to the business district to see St. Dunstan in the East
Church. It was a church built in Saxon times, later restored, but burned down in the
London fire. In 1697, Sir Christopher Wren rebuilt the church. Then, it was bombed
out during World War II. Today, only the exterior and steeple remain. However, the
initiative conservationist groups took to turn it into a garden was magnificent and
reminded me of Shakespeare s New Place in Stratford upon Avon. All of the
interiors are gone from the building, including any glass panes that were in the
window, but it is a small garden for the public to enter for free. That s one thing that
I ve noticed about the United Kingdom: that conservation groups tend to develop a
space into a park or garden, reviving the remains of older historical buildings. It also
maintains the historical significance it has to the city surrounding it.... Show more

Dunstan in the East was quite small, we decided to find All Hallows by The Tower
Church, the oldest church in England. The church is still functioning and the land
it was built on has been religious grounds dating back 1300 years. It was destroyed
in World War II, but rebuilt as a new meeting place for God and man. The space
had been developed to hold services, but also house a museum in the crypt and to
hold art. The art inside features new architectural developments in London.
However, to commemorate the Great Fire that occurred in the late 1600s, the main
collage piece created by Victoria Burgher featured fire over the new city pictures.
The heritage that the city carries is super interesting, especially because a lot of the
commemorations are displayed in churches across the United Kingdom. It s
interesting to see that art and religion can both be appreciated, but do not have to
correlate with each
Hot Rod Vs Napoleon Dynamite
Hot Rod vs. Napoleon Dynamite On one hand, Hot Rod is cool beans ,on the
other, Napoleon Dynamite is flippin sweet! Both these weird humored comedies
have various on the surface aspects that generate similarity, yet different
components of each film set the two apart. The plot of these movies are more
different than they are alike. Napoleon Dynamite is set in a small town and has a
fairly insignificant plot: Pedro for class president. Napoleon, himself, is an
awkward teenager trying to help his friend. Comparing this to Hot Rod, there is a
step up. The plot of the Hot Rod showcases a fairly more significant than that of
Napoleon Dynamite. Rod Kimble is an awkward adult who is trying to raise money
for his stepfather s life saving heart... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Napoleon and his friends retain PG humor with comments that are so simply odd a
viewer has to laugh, What the flip was Grandma doing at the sand dunes? Rod and
his crew, though, amp up their humor level to PG 13 with drug use, crude humor,
and profanities. A considerable amount of the humor in Hot Rod relies on
violence to draw laughter from the audience, You re wrong, Frank. I m not a kid, I
m a man. I am gonna get you better, and then I m gonna beat you to death! Violence
is nearly absent in Napoleon Dynamite with the exception of Uncle Rico launching
a steak at Napoleon s face. There is a minute romance in Hot Rod with Rod and
Denise, yet there is an even more nonexistent one in Napoleon Dynamite with
Napoleon and Deb: almost nonexistent. Napoleon Dynamite is a movie that almost
anyone could watch and enjoy. Hot Rod, however, is a hit or miss movie. The
controversial topics of Hot Rod could also be concerning for parents, whereas
parents would easily let their children watch Napoleon Dynamite. Napoleon
Dynamite and Hot Rod are the same type of movie on the surface, but their
differences in plot and humor display how they cater to different audiences.
Napoleon Dynamite remains an enjoyable movie with a steady pace while Hot Rod
goes on as not resolute. These two classic movies have certain aspects that both set
them apart from one another as well as adding to their

New York City Subway
Executive Summary
A report has been conducted to form literature review on the New York City Subway,
an engineering system, which analyses the systems key elements and interactions as
well as the context for its operations and future challenges it may face.
As the New York CitySubway system is an incredibly complex engineering system
that involes many vital subsytems, all of which have an important role in the
operation of this system, there is as a result many issues that can effect and influence
this system such as environmental, political, cultural and technical. This will cause
for future issues to be addressed by engineers and scientists such as the addaptation ...

The operation process involves constant monitoring of the system in order to allow
for a schedule as well as maintain safety and assure the system is functioning
correctly. This all requires many operators such as traffic controllers, drivers and
conductors. Software Engineering is a very important part of the operation process
as it is responsible for developing software to track rail carts, display arrival times
and operate automated train supervision [5].
The final subsystem of this system is the customers or the users. This system includes
all the users of the rail system and as the main purpose this system is to provide
customers with transportation this subsystem like every other relies heavily upon all
the other subsystems in order to allow the rail system to function.

History Memory In Unique Evocative Ways
History consists of what is known, remembered and recorded about the past in as
objective a way as possible. Memory can be a fragmented yet still valid perspective
on the past which enables History to fill in the gaps. The concepts of History
Memory are featured in the texts, The Queen , a film directed by Stephen Frears, Kurt
Cobain s Suicide Letter and the documentary Fahrenheit 9/11 by Michael Moore in a
unique and evocative style. All texts are representations or constructs of events which
present a point of view containing bias and subjectivity. The Queen released in 2006

This is juxtaposed with the scene which features the Royal family s reactions to the
news of her death which presents them in a negative light. Her image is reinforced
in the Royal families dialogue; Prince Phillip says, What s she done now? to which
the Queen replies You know what she s like , both implying their expectation of
inappropriate behaviour. This challenges audiences to consider the conflicting
perspectives of Diana and question their own memories.
The idea of challenging audience s memories by presenting people in a different
light is also shown in Kurt Cobain s Suicide Letter . In the letter Cobain uses the
technique of rhetorical question, as seen in the line I m too much of an erratic,
moody baby! Do I even have the passion anymore? to reveal his private yet real
persona which uniquely positions readers to challenge their personal and collective
memories of Cobain s persona as a public figure as the public was unaware of his
deeply emotional side as the New York Times wrote when announcing Cobain s death.
Music can serve as a way for the composer to engage audiences and emphasize the
feelings that the moment is creating. The music featured through out The Queen is
mostly of a sad and sorrowful tone, especially when shown with images such as the

and provide shelter for Bogong moths which are a vital food source for Burramys.
Podocarpus, the characteristic plant of Burramys habitat, is the only conifer in the
alpine and subalpine areas of mainland Australia. This habitat suits Burramys in
several ways. The rocks and the spaces between them provide shelter, protection
from predators and abundant nesting sites. Seeds and fruits from the vegetation and
a diverse and abundant invertebrate fauna provide plentiful food resource. According
to the research , the alpine and subalpine region from 1200metre to 2228metre above
sea level is suitable for these environmental factors.() Due to the fact that Australia
has limited alpine and subalpine region, Burramys are distributed in Victoria and
New South Wales which seldom states that have alpine and subalpine region in
Australia. The Burramys are especially distributed at Mount Higginbotham and
Mount Buller in Victoria, and Kosciuszko National Park in New South Wales. The
total population size is estimated to be less than 2600 adults. Therefore, Burramys
are listed as endangered in New South Wales and listed as threatened in Victoria.
This mainly caused by climate changes and loss of its habitat. Therefore, recovery

Summary Of The Song Changes By Charles Bradley
Changes by Charles Bradley is a song that resonates with me as a song that triggers
an emotional response. The song was first released in 2013 and is a cover of the
1972 band Black Sabbath (Cory, 2017). It is apparent by the title that the topic for
the song is the changes that the artist is going through or has gone through in his
life. At the very beginning of the song, Bradley says She was my woman. I loved her
so. But it s too late now. I ve let her go... But soon the world. Had its evil way , which
illustrates the loss of a partner but is still ambiguous in how he lost her but one
can infer it was due to death (Cory, 2017). Now, any time a song refers to the death
of a loved one, it is easy to sympathize with because we have all lost... Show more

When I first heard the song, I immediately searched for it on the internet and
listened to the whole version because I thought it was such a powerful song. The
lyrics of the song tell a story, it is one of pain and sorrow, but it s a story that I
think everyone can relate to. The lyrics are very simple and they all come together
to form a detailed depiction of Bradley s emotions. When I hear Bradley sing about
his loss, it triggers me into thinking about the loved ones that I have lost. The
rhythm of the song is very slow pace and calm, which sets the mood for Bradley s
gritty deep voice, but when the chorus hits, then the saxophone jumps in to excite the
whole song. The beat is soft enough to induce a deep thought and when the chorus
hits, you do not get the usual sense of excitement but rather one of contempt delight.
Lastly, the artist is another thing that triggers a Dionysian response for me, the
reason being that Bradley looks just like my grandfather that passed about a year
ago. Every time I see Bradley, I think of my grandfather and all of the time I spent
with him, not to mention that the author s last name matches that of my family.
Overall, I would say that the emotional response that I get when I hear this song is
one of blissfulness and
Macbeth And Lady Macbeth Relationship
The relationship between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth is not comparable to any other
in the book. William Shakespeare truly focused on their relationship and thus allowed
readers to understand the way the roles in the relationship are switched, the trust
between them and how ambitious they are. Macbeth and Lady Macbethare the two
primary characters and thrive off each others actions and decisions. Macbethand Lady
Macbeths marriage revolves around the need for power, this is why Macbeth is
Lady Macbeth s transportation, and she is his fuel. Unfortunately, they are both
corrupted by the power they desire. They are partners in crime who slowly drift
apart as the power overcomes them.
Furthermore, Its is evident that throughout the first half of the play, Lady Macbeth
plays the role as the man, and Macbeth plays the role of the women. Lady Macbeth
is the one first to suggest that King Duncan die before leaving their castle, and she
calls on the spirits to take away her femininity so that she ... Show more content on

They continuously trust and distrust each other, this further shows their relationship
as unpredictable because, it will be unclear as to whether the two will trust each

achieved is by murdering King Duncan. However, she does not trust her husband to
murder King Duncan because she knows that he is a kind and gentle person, It is

confident that Macbeth is a compassionate person who will not be bold enough to

of being afraid because she doesn t think that he has the ambition she has to act

Dna Fingerprint Evidence At A Crime Scene
The first step in processing fingerprint evidence at a crime scene begins with
documentation through the use of photography, sketches and detailed notes on the
condition and disposition of the evidence. Often, latent prints can be used to
establish the identity of a suspect or victim at a crime scene and can be considered
as one of the most valuable forms of physical evidence. Processing evidence at a
crime scene is a long, tedious process to ensure that delicate evidence, such as
fingerprints can be preserved. When processing fingerprints, the location and
condition of the print should be identified to determine the most appropriate
technique for processing. There are two primary types of surfaces: porous and non
porous. Porous surfaces absorb fingerprintresidue like paper, cardboard or unfinished
wood. Conventional chemical techniques used on these types of surfaces include
Silver Nitrate, Iodine Fuming, Ninhydrin and SuperGlue Fuming. Non porous
surfaces consist of plastics, glass, and metal. These prints are usually lifted with the
powder dusting technique; however, caution should be used while processing latent
print residue on non porous surfaces as they can easily smear. Powdered latent prints
are then lifted with tape. (Lee, Gaesslen, 2001)
Upon the arrival to a local homicide scene at a convenience store/gas station, several
items to be processed for fingerprint evidence were identified to include, a Lottery
Ticket on the counter with a bloody, smeared print on
Ruth St. Denis Research Paper
For my dance history lineage project, I chose three different choreographers who

How Does Shakespeare Present Supernatural In Macbeth
How does Shakespeare present the Supernatural in Macbeth?
Shakespeare wrote the tragedy Macbeth in 1606 when witchcraft and the supernatural
were feared throughout England. Macbeth is a fictitious play about a Scottish
nobleman who becomes king due to the ill effects of the supernatural, which
ultimately leads to his downfall. Shakespeare presents the supernatural through the
use of witchcraft as one of the main instigators for the story of Macbeth ghosts,
apparitions and dark imagery as an integral part of the structure of the plot, the
catalysts for action and change.
The way the supernatural is presented by Shakespeare was heavily influenced by
James I. In his book, Daemonologie, James I wrote a description of a witch that
directly correlates to the witches in Macbeth. For example one of ... Show more

This is particularly evident in the witch s chorus of the line Fair is foul and foul is
fair . This quote shows the contradictory and riddle like manner of the witches which
would confuse the audience and causes a sense of uncertainty around the characters.
This phrase resonates throughout the whole play and it serves as an impacting first
scene. The adjective Foul could portray the tone for the rest of the play as it is
repeated at regular intervals throughout, for example; played st most foully for t and
by the doctor Foul whisperings are abroad . The repetition of foul keeps the
adjective prevalent in the audience s mind throughout the play and therefore they
associate it with the murders that occurred and the supernatural. This can be
supported by events at the time the play was written, in 1606 after the Gun Powder
Plot, which Shakespeare uses as a stimulus for Macbeth. This deters the Jacobean
audience to commit such deeds themselves as they know it is the effect of the
supernatural and evil spirits alike who serve chaos and
Shawshank Redemption Reflection
The movie our class watched and reviewing is Shawshank Redemption. This movie
is directed by Frank Darabot and the producer of the film is Niki Marvin. The
movie was released on October 14th, 1994. Shawshank Redemption is a R Rated
movie, which, is intended for the mature. Andy Dufresne is the main character in this
film, Andy was acted out by Tim Robbins. There is a narrator in the movie (which,
narrators about Andy as time goes by in Shawshank prison) was narrated by Morgan
Freeman. This narrator is Ellis Boyd Redding or Red, an inmate and friend to Andy.
The last characters I believe to play a major role in the movie is the Warden of
Shawshank, Warden Norton is played by Bob Gunton; and Captain Hadley (Clancy
Brown).
Andy Dufresne was a successful Vice President banker, that was tried and
convicted for the murder of his wife and the man whom his wife cheated on. In
1947, Andy was sent to Shawshank to serve two murder charges or two life
sentences. Dufresne arrives at Shawshank with a bus full of new inmates and
meets the guards and Warden Norton. The first years (two years) are brutal for
Andy. He doesn t really have any friends and he is harassed by a group of people
called the sisters. Overtime he builds a relationship with Red and the other friends
of Red. He shows off his banker skills with Hadley and becomes a pet to the Warden.
The Warden helps Andy with harassment from the sisters and excuses labor for him.
Officer Hadley ends up beating the sister that assaulted
The Plague Of The Bubonic Plague
The plague was a catastrophic time in history, and happened more than once. It took
millions and millions of people s lives. It destroyed cities and countries, and many
people suffered from it.
What is the plague? The plague or referred to as the Black Death, according to the
CDC (2015), is a disease that affects humans and other mammals and caused by the
Yersinia pestis bacteria. Humans usually get plague after being bitten by a rodent
flea that is carrying the plague bacterium or by handling an animal infected with
plague . There are three categories of a plague. There is the bubonic plague, which is
the most common form. With this form bacteria infects the lymph system and
causes it to become inflamed. Symptoms of this type of plague are fever, headache,
chills, and swollen and tender lymph nodes, which are called buboes. Then there is
the Septicemic, which occurs when the bacteria multiply in the blood. Symptoms of
this type of plague are fever, chills, extreme weakness, abdominal pain, shock, and
possibly bleeding into the skin and other organs. Also, skin and other tissues may
turn black and die, especially fingers, toes and the nose (CDC, 2015). Then there is
the Pneumonic Plague, which is the most serious form of plague and occurs when Y.
pestis bacteria infect the lungs and cause pneumonia (NIH, 2015). This is the only

The Effect Of Oil Recovery On The Economy
2.1Enhanced Oil Recovery
Oil recovery is traditionally subdivided into three stages: Primary, Secondary, and
Tertiary. However, reservoir production operations are not always conducted in the
specified order, for example, the tertiary process may be applied at secondary stage
instead of water flooding.
The term tertiary recovery is not widely used in petroleum engineering literature and
the term of enhanced oil recovery (EOR) became more accepted in today s industry.
Another description occasionally normally used is improve oil recovery (IOR),
which includes EOR but also includes a broader range of activities, such as reservoir
characterisation, improved reservoir management, and infill drilling.
2.1.1Primary Recovery

It is therefore vital to have a good understanding of these principles prior to moving
forward with this project. (Reference)
This can be expressed as the ratio of mobility of displacing fluid to that of
displaced fluid. In a water flooding system, if M 1, the displacing fluid moves
faster than the displaced liquid that is, oil. This is not desirable due to the
displacing fluid overflowing displaced fluid. For M much larger than 1, the
displacing fluid will channel past the oil front. M should be less than or equal to 1
for maximum displacement efficiency. Viscous/ polymer fluid is used in ASP
project to achieve M being less than unity. (Ref bib) This is possible by:
Improving relative permeability (water and oil)
Increasing the viscosity of displacing fluid, Water
Decreasing the viscosity of displaced fluid, oil
2.3Classification of EOR methods
Enhanced oil Recovery methods can be broken into two groups; Thermal and non
thermal. The main focus of this project lies under non thermal and in Chemical
Floods. The most common global form of EOR is non thermal. 2.4Chemical Flooding
Chemicals can be injected into reservoirs to improve oil recovery and efficiency.
Surfactants like alkaline have a tendency to alter the interfacial tension properties
when injected which improves oil production. The main challenge introduced while
flooding with chemicals is the adsorption and
Becoming A New Friend Group
Lindsay struggles to find her place in high school among the different crowds of
cliches. Growing up Lindsay was considered a good girl and now she wants to join a
different social order, the burnouts. She struggles to balance the old good girl while
trying to form a new friendships with the burnouts. At first the transfer from being a
mathlete and friendswith Millie to being friends with kids who are known for
skipping class is a little shaky. In a lot of ways I can compare to Lindsay especially
getting a new friend group. All my life my neighbor and I have been best friends;
around freshman year he started to hang more and more with this new group of
kids, our school s infamous burnouts. I found myself at a crossroad. I could either
hang out with this new group of kids or the friend group I grew up with since
elementary school. I ended up with the burnouts just as Lindsay made the
transition from so called nerds to the rebel students. Just like my situation, first the
transition was awkward and I struggled to balance both sides but also had to also
maintain my grades. Having friends who are constantly wanting to skip and still
being able to keep the A in Biology was a hard tribulation. Yes, Lindsay and I are a
like in many ways when it comes to our new choice in friends, but unlike Lindsay I
did not forsake my past. Lindsay made the decision to quit the mathlete club whereas
I, never a mathlete, continue to challenge myself with harder and harder classes.

What Are the Main Changes Occuring in the Australian...
INTRODUCTION This paper focuses on 3 current trends occurring in the
Australian labour market, analysing their causes and effects. The chosen trends are
structural unemployment, gender pay gap and skill shortage. The main causes of
the first trend are increase demand for services and technological change, which
have led us into a new era where highly skilled labour force is needed to operate
more complex machineries and computer systems. The rapid technological change
has caused structural unemployment, with workers willing to work but cannot
because of their lack of required skills. The second trend, gender pay gap, illustrates
how wide the pay gap between males and females is until today. The main causes of
this current direction... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Structural unemployment has been attributed to the high incidence of long term
unemployment, which leaves many lacking the skills needed to reenter the
workforce. Furthermore, structural inefficiencies in the labour market originated
by long term unemployment, which weakens job capabilities, job search success
and job preparedness (Lewis, 2006). One of the effects of structural unemployment
is work intensification. The few people qualified for the job are overloaded with
work, being forced to work longer hours in the attempt on meeting companies
targets. Almost 13 of full time employees work routinely more than 48 hours per
week, and 13 of these work frequently more than 60 hours per week (Peetz et al,
2003). According to the OECD report, Australia has the most substantial
percentage of workers operating long hours in the OECD and it is now the 2nd
longest working time nation in the advanced world (OECD report, 2012). On the
other hand, 1 in 7 workers is underemployed: that means, they are employed for less
hours than they want, and 14 of these have a part time job because they cannot
find full time work, limited by their scarcity or mis match of skills (Wilkins, 2007).
Moreover, Australia has one of the biggest percentage of underemployment among
developed countries as well as a remarkable amount of long term redundancy (OECD
report, 2012). TREND 2: GENDER PAY GAP Although in Australia there is in place

Social research is the scientific study of society. From conducting social research we
can gain a better understanding of society s attitudes, assumptions, beliefs, trends
and rules. Social research frequently determines the relationship between one or
more variables. Examples of prevalent social research topics include sexuality, class
issues and racism (De Vaus, 2002). When conducting social research it is extremely
important to follow ethical procedures in order to cater to the needs of the
participants. Ethics is an issue in social research because it doesn t allow for many
investigations and experiments to take place due to their secretive or unethical nature
such as the Facebook Mood experiment thus limiting the amount of research that...

The research should not harm the participant and at no point should they feel
distressed or uncomfortable, the participant needs to obtain the correct information
and at no point be deceived or lied to (Diniz, 2008). The participant needs to be seen
as an individual not just a number and needs to take into account that they are unique
and will respond differently to other participants. Furthermore, the participant needs
to agree to take part in the research on their own accord and must not be forced into
partaking. Social research and the experiments conducted to acquire the research
sometimes have ripple effects that can cause unanticipated consequences on the
community. The community and in particular community psychologists need to
identify an ethical dilemma that could result from social research when they see one,
understand the fundamentals of the predicament, and decide what a solution should

A Rising Nation Analysis
The author of A Rising Nation is Kenneth C. Davis. A Rising Nation is published
by Harper Collins in 2010. Harper Collins Publishers Inc. is located on 10 East
53rd Street in New York, NY 10022. Davis gives his thanks to everyone who has
aided him in the process of writing this book including the editor, associates with
Harper Collins publishers, and varies unknown librarians. In a Rising Nation
Davis explains events and people in history that have been edited throughout the
history learning experience to seem better than what they were. This book would
be most enticing to readers that have some previous knowledge of history.
However, this book would not be as enticing to a professional scholar if they were
already aware of the information provided but, they would enjoy how Davis
provided the information. Davis expresses his gratitude by complimenting editor:
Elisabeth Dyssegaard. Davis Also gives his thanks to his dear friend David Black, a
literary agent. Davis specifically lists the people that has aided him in the process of

The Revolutionary War And The War Of Independence
The Revolutionary war another name for the war of independence and lasted from
1775 and ended 1783. There was a lot of tension between the 13 colonies and the
British Monarchy. Smaller battles between British troops and smaller militias near
Lexington and Concord kicked off the war. And by 1777 the rebels began a full
scale war on Great Britain. The war turned into an international conflict when France
joined the war and sided with the American colonists in 1778. With the help of the
French the British surrendered at Yorktown in 1781 but the war did not officially end
until 1783. When conflict between groups of American colonists and British soldiers
had begun in April 1775, the Americans were solely fighting only for their rights as...

Tensions were high and had been building for years between residents of the
American colonies and the British authorities, primarily in Massachusetts.
Suddenly on the night of April 18, 1775, British army regiments marched through
Boston to Concord with the task of seizing an arms cache. The well known Paul
Revere and other riders sounded the alarm, and colonial militia began deploying to
intercept the Redcoats. An engagement on the Lexington town green began the
skirmishing, soon the British were quickly retreating due to severe fire. The
battles some larger than others still continued, and in 1783 the colonists formally
succeeded in their fight for independence. The British were very aggressive in their
measures of building revenue from the 13 colonies which ultimately caused the
tragic war(s). The Stamps Act, Sugar Act, and Townshend Acts caused animosity
amongst the colonists who ended up protesting where the Boston Massacre took
place. The Boston Massacre was a horrible side effect of American Rebellion but at
a cost of American blood. The Boston Massacre was a brawl I the street that
occurred on March 5, 1770, between a mob of younger men called a patriot mob.
The young men threw snowballs, rocks, and stick at the armed British Soldiers.
Unfortunately several colonists were killed. This led to a campaign by speech
writers to instigate the issue of citizenry. The presence of British redcoat
What Heroes Means To Help People Around The World
Most heroes don t wear a cape. Heroes want to show the world that they care. They
try to make their city the best as they can by taking down all the bad people. They
help those that need help the most and they stand up for people. Hero s means to
help people around the world because they care about their city ad take out bad
people. Heroes want to show that they care. Some heroes really care about people to
show people that they are not a bad people. In a movie called Nerve there s a game
and it s a dare you have to do. There was this girl who joined the game and she had a
partner. She thought he was a bad guy because he cheated on her, but at the end he
saved her life by taking the bullet for her. Some people may look like a bad guy but
are a really good person. Many people think I m mean and rude because of the way I
act to some people, but once they talk to me, I m really nice. People now days are

Defining Today s Pop Culture
Youtube is one of the most popular video sharing website on the internet. Everyone
has seen a youtube video at least once in their life. Most of us watch videos on
youtube weekly if not daily. It is playing an important role in defining todays pop
culture. This famous website was created by three friends: Chad Hurley, Steve
Chen, and Jawed Karim. At first, they came up with an idea of creating a website
called HotOrNot, where people get to upload their videos and the viewers would then
decide whether they were hot or not. But this idea was too specific. So, in february
2005 they came up with a website called YouTube and it went live on May 2005. The
first ever video was a 19 second clip of Jawed at the zoo. OVer the next

How The Role Of Society Exposed In Sense And Sensibility
Often people do not think about how much society has changed or what it would it
be like if equal rights were not around. In the late 1700s to the early 1800s, families
did not even have the choice in where their money went once the man of the home
was gone. Jane Austen, the author of Sense and Sensibility, does a phenomenal job of
showing the world the struggles women faced during that time. The way she
meticulously shapes the characters around the society that they live in, gives major
insight on the unfair laws that were held back then. Almost every character has a
specific moment where society affected their happiness. Some characters strongly
pull away from the way of society with their unwillingness to accept that laws are

Willoughby may have loved Marianne, but because she was not considered to be
good enough he wed someone else, leaving Marianne heartbroken and stunned.
Marianne did everything in her power to contact and stay in touch. She believed
that Willoughby truly was the one. Because of the way Austen writes these
characters and their personalities, it shows how she personally feels about the
society during this time. Elinor has a private desire and Marianne has a public
desire. By giving each character a different personality, Austen had criticized the
society in two different ways. The first way being with Elinor, the society makes
her so ashamed of who she is. Elinor has completely closed off everything else and
suppresses her feelings. Then, the exact opposite happens with Marianne. The
society makes her have no happiness and she feels so alone. Because of the rules to

Hickory Dickory Dock Analysis
Hickory Dickory Dock
Nursery rhymes are poems that have an underline meaning. Nursery rhymes were
used in a way to relay a hidden message that spoke out against the British government.
However, guardians and educators communicated the significance of nursery rhymes
to children at a youthful age, asserting that they are critical for them to build up an
urge for dialect, syllables, and rhythm. Individuals would think that nursery rhymes
were sweet and innocent, but in between those lines was a hidden message that was
derogatory. Nursery rhymes originated in Britain roughly around the seventeenth
hundreds. Many nursery rhymes were popular poems like Hickory Dickory Dock.
Be that as it may, does Hickory Dickory Dock have a mischievous significance
behind its snappy tune?
Hickory Dickory Dock is a straightforward nursery rhyme about a mouse and a clock.
However, it presumably alludes to one of Britain s minimum rulers who showed up
on the political scene in the seventeenth century. This nursery rhyme initially
published in 1743; yet, is thought to allude to previous events in the earlier century.
England was a republic between the execution of King Charles I in 1649 and the
reclamation of the government, under King Charles II, in 1660. Richard was given
power because his brother died which led him to take his throne. As a result, Richard
Cromwell went on for nine months as Lord Protector before offering his resignation.
Richard was permitted to leave the nation for
Ragtime Music Research Paper
Ragtime music is a musical genre that plays a significant role in the African
American history of music. Ragtime music was one of the many genres of music
was unique for it s use of art and expression of African Americans. Ragtime music
peaked in popularity in the late 19th century. This was one of a number of musical
styles which had their roots in this time period. This increasing in diversity resulted
from the fusion of African and European musical ideas in the Southern States of the
U.S. It was not so much a deliberate crafting by musicscholars, but more the result of
experimentation and informal learning by example, often by self taught musicians
who played in streets and bars. This quote explains the diversity that ragtime brings to
African American music. Ragtime music a cultural asset to music that incorporates
blues, jazz, stride, novelty piano, and honky tonk.
In its purest form, Ragtime was played as an instrumental on a solo piano, an
instrument which most honkytonk bars and saloons possessed. The rhythm is ragged
in ragtime music, which contributes to the name ragtime. Ragtime means syncopated
time . Ernest Hogan, a pioneer of ragtime music. also contributed to the term ragtime

To What Extent Should Fairness Be Sacrificed For The...
To what extent should fairness be sacrificed for the development of society? In a
free market economy, almost all choices and decisions are based on the individual,
rather in which a command economy, the government has absolute control with a few
exceptions. Many economies strive to achieve the goals of efficiency, growth and
innovation, and employment simply because these are some of the main factors in
which a economy grows, whether it be free marketor command. When making
decisions to benefit economies, many choices must be made such as if you take
complete control of businesses, there is no room for a society of humans to grow,
whereas there is entrepreneurship, not only does the economy benefit financially, but
there is opportunity for citizens to expand their businesses. A economy that leaves
choices to be made by citizens not only prosper as... Show more content on

In free enterprise, one aspect would be voluntary exchange. A example of
voluntary exchange would be if someone is selling a house that they bought for
$50,000 to someone else for the price of $100,000.00, and the buyer is buying the
house as a way he is moving into a bigger house, that would be considered voluntary
exchange because both the buyer and seller would be better off after the exchange
than before it. In a command economy, one aspect of development would be that
anything would be created instantly at the word of the government. An example of
this would be if a country fell in between war all of a sudden and the country needs
to produce a large quantity of flame throwers, that could instantly be done by the
whole nation if the government chose, even though it would not be something very
beneficial to the economy. Even though that an command economy is very efficient
in the ways of fairness, a free enterprise government would be better in fairness and

Design And Construction Of Australia
2DESIGN CONSTRUCTION
2.1Introduction
As the world s population increases airlines along with airports have been
experiencing higher air transport demands. These demand not only passengers
arriving and departing from airports, but also from growths in freight. Higher
demands for passenger and freight throughput has caused major airports to struggle to
efficiently accommodate air transport flow in busy periods, causing congestion and
delays (Solak et al. 2009; Zhang Zhang 2006). Solak et al. (2009) asserts that the
implementation of tougher airport security due to terrorism has caused airports to
become additionally congested and experience extended delays. For example,
Australia s population is rapidly increasing and is becoming a ... Show more content

Other possibilities are to build a new airport or utilise other existing underused
airports, for example in Melbourne Avalon Airport can be used in conjunction with
Tullamarine Airport (Engineers Australia 2010; Kwakkel et al. 2010). The two fore
mentioned possibilities would require the management of multi airport systems (De
Neufville 1995).
2.2Literature Review
With long term growths in passenger and freight volumes expected in airports all
around the world, airports are planning and implementing various strategies to
meet those expected future demands (Solak et al. 2009; Kwakkel et al. 2010). A
planner s proposals and strategies in which an airport can implement over a
number of years in order to facilitate the forecasted growth of passengers and
freight is known as an airport master plan (Kwakkel et al. 2010). Bradley (2010)
states that an airport s capacity is a result of a number of different combined factors.
These include how much aircraft movement over a specific period its runway can
handle, the number of aircrafts its apron can accommodate, as well as how much
incoming and outgoing passengers and freight its terminal can facilitate per hour
(Caves 1994; Bradley 2010). An airport master plan can include airport expansion,
maintenance and upgrades, the development of a new airport or even the utilisation
of multiple airports in a city. Regardless of the plan the necessary design and
Piggy s Glasses Symbolism
Piggy s glasses symbolize reason and innovation throughout the novel; Golding most
commonly associates them with the old camp on the beach. Piggy uses his glasses
to help the other boys see , both physically and intellectually, the best and most
reasonable way forward. However, any time they are removed from the beach, chaos
is sure to ensue. The first time, when the boys go to the mountain to light the signal
fire, Jack and the other boys pry the glasses off Piggy s face so they can use them
as burning glasses. While this does help to start the signal fire so they can be seen
by a ship, it traumatizes Piggy since even at this point in the book, Jack scares him.
Despite the good intentions for the fire, it soon goes wild and even results in the
death of a littlun.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The theft of Piggy s glasses demonstrates that the selfish and savage side of human
nature can appropriate scientific knowledge and advances for less than worthy

Mla Format In Essay.pdf

  • 1. Mla Format In Essay Writing an essay on the MLA format might initially seem like a straightforward task, given the seemingly rigid guidelines set by the Modern Language Association. However, delving into the intricacies of adhering to these guidelines can reveal a level of complexity that demands attention to detail and a thorough understanding of the rules. Firstly, mastering the basic elements of MLA formatting, such as margins, font size, and line spacing, is just the tip of the iceberg. Properly citing sources using in-text citations and constructing a comprehensive Works Cited page requires a nuanced understanding of various source types, from books and articles to online resources and interviews. The meticulous formatting of each citation according to the specific rules set by MLA adds another layer of challenge. Moreover, the rules surrounding the incorporation of quotations, paraphrases, and summaries within the text demand careful consideration. Striking the right balance between the student's original voice and the integration of external sources while avoiding plagiarism can be a delicate task. Assembling a coherent and well-structured essay in MLA format involves more than just following a template. Ensuring smooth transitions between paragraphs, crafting a compelling thesis statement, and developing a logical flow of ideas are essential components that require careful attention. Additionally, meeting the length requirements while maintaining substance and relevance adds an extra layer of difficulty. In essence, writing an essay on the MLA format is not just about mechanical adherence to rules; it's about synthesizing information, constructing a compelling argument, and presenting it all within the constraints of a specific formatting style. The challenge lies in the intersection of content and structure, where a writer must seamlessly weave their ideas with the technical intricacies of the MLA format. If tackling such a task becomes overwhelming, remember that assistance is available. Similar essays and much more can be ordered on HelpWriting.net, providing a valuable resource for those navigating the complexities of academic writing. Mla Format In Essay Mla Format In Essay
  • 2. Beneficial Properties of Edible Weeds All too often, homeowners and gardeners wage war in their lawns and gardens against the plants that grow incredibly well there, but that aren t intentionally planted, and many times, the justification for these battles all comes down to the words we use to describe them. When we buy and plant packets of common flower, vegetable, or herb seeds, we spend a lot of time, energy, and water in our efforts to get those seeds to germinate and grow, and take pride in our green thumb and homegrown food supply. But when a plant that we identify as being a weed is found growing in our lawn or garden, out comes the trowel and hoe (or for the ruthless and impatient gardeners, weedkillers such as RoundUp), and we may spend the entire growing season keeping these opportunistic and resilient plants at bay, in order to have neat and tidy garden beds and uniform lawns. And it s too bad, really, as many of the common garden weeds are not only edible and nutritious, but can be a great homegrown (and free) addition to our meals. Part of the resistance to eating plants that we believe to be weeds, in my opinion, is that we are conditioned to only consider the items we find in the grocery store as food, and not things that the rest of the neighborhood sees as unwelcome invaders in lawns and gardens. And unless we ve been exposed to eating plants that are seen as common garden weeds, and had them prepared for us, we re probably not likely to try to eat them on our own. Once in a while, we might
  • 3. Prussian Military Reforms Essay Innovation and Evolution: Prussian Military Reforms of the 19th Century The concept of war as a static and unchanging occurrence is an outdated and dangerous miscalculation. More accurately, war is a fluidic, evolving and shifting phenomenon constantly reinventing itself, rendering stagnant, inflexible principles potentially disastrous. Consequently, as students of war and future players in this transforming theatre, the study of eras of significant development is an extremely relevant pursuit. Recognizing the need for adaptation and the creation of doctrine is now a prerequisite for any effective modern commander. War is unpredictable in nature and particularly so in current theatres of operation, in which change is rapid ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These developments influenced most of the powerful nations of Europe and were soon repeated in similar forms around the world. Furthermore, many of the Prussian enhancements in army doctrine are the foundation of the command structures of many modern militaries today. Although his armies enjoyed unprecedented successes and expanded the French Empire from Spain to the steppes of Russia, the Napoleonic way of war was fraught with deficiencies. Due to the Napoleon s genius and mastery of this period of military manoeuvres, he was able to forestall the affects of the inherent limitations of his system until the war of the Sixth Coalition (1813) and eventually the fateful battle of Waterloo (1815). One the most significant, intrinsic flaws in Napoleon s system was related to issues of command. During the beginnings of Napoleon s career, he commanded armies of sizes up to 60 000 troops. In Italy in 1796, he commanded a force of just 38 000. With the increasing sizes of forces in the later empire, due to concepts such as levee en masse and recruitment legislation of 1792, the inability of a single commander to control such vast forces was becoming apparent. The sheer immensity of the forces now mustered was unprecedented. In 1812 the Grande Armee, consisted of a staggering 611 000 soldiers. Much to the hindrance of the later empire, few, if any officers in the Grande Armee, besides Napoleon himself, could command forces
  • 4. Kanye West Influence On Society Art is known for producing unsightly items, which gain beauty with time. On the other hand, fashion is known for producing items of exquisite beauty, which depreciate with time. With such a phenomenon plaguing society, fashion creates an imposition and reign on freedom on many, allowing us to make ourselves slaves to this great folly. Fashiontherefore has the unique power of eradicating one s self identity, and conforming society to a homogenous structure. However, throughout history, we are given the opportunity to live amongst individuals who aim to challenge these phenomena and ideologies, which society has grown so accustomed to, with one of these figures being the infamous Kanye West. Yet, despite his intentions to eliminate this phenomenon... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These included but were not limited to: social media posts of him and his wife s famous family wearing the rare shoes, allotted times in his interviews with details on the collection s launch and even allotted times in his concerts to rant about his disgust for the Nike brand but yet praise his seemingly superior shoes. By utilizing his wife s family, the Kardashians, who are well known for their presence on social media with even apps documenting their lives which people pay to gain such privileged access, and have a notably large fan base, Kanye West effectively managed to create hype for these shoes, as the Kardashian family is a patriarch which many wish to be like. Therefore, with such influential power in society, Kanye West managed to not only create hype for these shoes, but also a worldwide frenzy. Additionally, Kanye West is known for his outrageous rants, with all of them never managing to go unnoticed in the tabloids. Through his rants in his concerts and on interviews which he rarely does, with some rants lasting as much as twenty minutes on the sole topic of shoes and his dispute with Nike, Kanye West elevated the hype for his shoes, as people firstly became intrigued by the drama and then the shoes. With such a broad range of effective advertising methods, Kanye West was able to create such a great hype for his shoes, everyone wanted to get their hands on a pair. Similarly, Horkheimer and Adorno recognize the importance of advertising in the culture industry, with its power to turn all participants into listeners and authoritatively subjects them to broadcast programs which are all exactly the same (1256). Therefore, with such influential power, the culture industry s aspects of advertising, possesses the ability to compel the public in its intended manner, leading to the creation of a passive and homogenous
  • 5. Pet Overpopulation Having a bond with an animal is one of the best things you could ever experience in this world. Pets have been proven to improve your mood and health in many unnoticed ways. Pets help with loneliness, they help with reducing stress and anxiety, and they can also help increase your exercise. Having a petprovides you with a companion for life that will show you unconditional love and affection, if you will show it back. Owning and caring for a pet may even help you live longer. But where do these pets come from? Pet overpopulation is a topic that generally goes unnoticed unless you are a pet owner yourself. Every year, millions of cats and dogs are euthanized in local animal shelters. This is due to the reason that there are more pets out... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Applicants for dog adoptions must have a fenced in yard that is fenced on all sides, or a fenced kennel area. This rule is based on dogs that do not have access to a fenced in area are much harder to housebreak and are more likely to escape, roam and become a neighborhood nuisance. So if you have over 5 acres of land and no neighbors for at least a mile, have lived there for years and have no young children, because your land is not fenced in you cannot adopt a dog. This rule is very unfair and causes a lot of dogs to not be adopted. Most people are completely capable of taking care of a dog but they are denied because they do not have a fenced in yard. Fencing your yard is not easy and definitely not cheap to do. If someone is willing to spend almost 1,000 dollars to house and take care of a dog who cares if your yard is fenced in or not. Of course, the animal shelter rules and regulations are set up to try and stop pets from returning to the shelter and pet overpopulation but it also makes it a lot harder for a great family to adopt a dog. A fenced yard nowadays, is pretty hard to come by unless the homeowner has put one in themselves. A pet should be able to run and roam wherever it wants, and if it is a good pet it will listen and come right back to you when you call it. There is really no need to have a fenced in yard unless the dog doesn t listen, then take it out on a leash until
  • 6. A Brief Note On Clean Water And Sanitation Every year in developing countries, millions are suffering and dying due to hazardous sanitation conditions and unclean water. This can be prevented. Many developing countries lack in water and sanitation, as a result millions die every year. Health plays a big factor in sanitation and water in developing countries. There are many inexpensive and effective alternatives to clean water and safe sanitation. Access to water and sanitation increased from 1990 to 2002. Many challenges and obstacles are existent. With every challenge there is a solution. The solution can only be overcome through technology, research, collaboration, and engineering problem solving for future. Imagine the impact on public health if no water services for toilets, faucets, and sinks to address for our daily needs. For billions of people all over the world, this is unfortunately a reality. Approximately 1.1 billion (ACS) people don t have access to improved drinking water and estimated 2.6 billion (ACS) individuals live without any type of water services. From 2005 2015, The World Health Organization(WHO) wanted to establish a system that will provide full access to safe drinking water and sanitation by 2015. Sanitation is vital to global health and is a larger problem then the lack of water. Sanitation is the conditions relating to public health especially the provision of clean drinking water and adequate sewage disposal. These conditions in the developing world are due to the lack of sanitation,
  • 7. Tesco Valuation Aim of the report The aim of the report is to use different valuation techniques to see if the current share price of Tesco plc is fair, undervalued or overvalued. Some of the findings will be compared with other firms in the same industries and share holders will be informed on whether they should buy, hold or sell. Background information on Tesco Tesco is the largest supermarket retail chain in the United Kingdom with Sainsbury being their closest rival. It is also the third largest retail chain in the world. In the beginning Tesco started off by selling basic groceries before diversifying into many different markets. In 2007 Tesco was operating in the following fields: General groceries Personal banking Fuel Telecom ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are many other factors that will have a say in a firms share price. All of which can have an effect on a share price if there is a slight change in their figures or prospects. Earning Based Valuation Price to Earnings Ratio (PER) refers to the fact how long a shareholder has to wait to recover the cost of purchasing the share. PER is directly affected by the market valuation of a share. Tesco has a PER of 18.1p in the year 2007. This is above the competitor s average PER in the same industry (appendix 1). Sainsbury has the highest PER but this doesn t suggest they are shares are more profitable than the other three companies. This suggests they earnings are expected to increase at a quicker rate than their rivals. Sainsbury PER is high this year but this is because their EPS for prior years were quite low which meant they were not really profitable in the previous years. Tesco have had a stable growth when it comes to EPS so their PER has also been stable. The two problems with using PER are that it is calculated using accounting profits and based on historical information. Accounting can be biased or even miscalculated which can lead to a wrong PER figure. Price to Sales Ratio (PSR)
  • 8. Cyber Crimes Over Recent Years And The Social Affects Literature Review Study During this literature review, I will be explaining the increase in cyber crimes over recent years and the social affects this has in current society. Furthermore, this literature review will also focus on the topic of digital forensics and the problems that investigators have against the ever growing number of cyber crimes. However, the main part of this literature review is to discuss the topic of Steganography and how this is used in the world of cyber crime for malicious intent. This will lead to the analyses of process it takes to use steganography and to critically evaluate the methods that are already in use for hiding information using steganography and also to detect if Steganography has been used on an image. Cyber Crime: Throughout the years, the internet has become a place that has interconnected this world as people now have the freedom to use computers from their own homes, making such this as; communicating, researching and entertainment a lot easier than 1980 s, making life much more convenient for the users. However, the internet isn t always used for good. It also allows the possibility of crimes such as identify theft, credit card fraud etc. Cyber crime is a crime committed or facilitated via the Internet also Cybercrime is any criminal activity involving computers and networks. [2] an example of this would be if a person used multiple networks to transmit malicious software over the internet with the intention of damaging their
  • 9. Examples Of Madness In The Streetcar Named Desire The streetcar Named Desire is a very complex and engaging book with 3 different themes, desire and fate, death and madness. I chose to be Blanche DuBois in scene 8 and scene 10 as it sets the theme, madness.Like the other major themes of the play desire and fate, and death madness too was Tennessee Williams s obsession. His sister Rose s strange behaviour which had long been a source of anxiety to her parents, later took the form of violent sexual fantasies and accusations against her father. Not only did Tennessee Williamsfeel guilty for not having saved Rose from all this, but he now feared for his own sanity because the mental illness that afflicted Rose might be hereditary. He certainly did have a breakdown of sorts in his early twenties.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Her illusions, the very establishment of her life, are pulverised and this reflects the rot in her energy, status, and mental limit. Toward the begin of the play, she is obviously indicated to be somebody who is clutching the picture of an advanced and dainty character that originates from a distinguished society however by Scene 10, she has ended up completely mindful that this is a daydream which is the reason she hammers the mirror face down at the very begin of the scene as she has understood that she is not able to trick herself any longer. At the point when Stanley shows up, she is compelled to envision that she has gotten a telegram from Shep Huntleigh with a specific end goal to escape the truth that she is being constrained out by Stanley and that Mitch generally won t needs her. The Scarlet Letter And Arthur Miller s The Crucible Carter Beaulieu Mr. Damaso AP English III, Period 5 21 October 2014 Puritanical Deception (1000) Emigrating from the Old World to purify the Church of England, the Puritan society was one of very strict religious beliefs. Believing in living plainly, the Puritans denounced those who went against their ways. They even excoriated fellow members of their community if a sin was bound to ones name. One sin in particular, adultery, was seen as a contravention to the covenant that the Puritans had established with God. Church leaders believed that unless the sinners were chastised, God would punish the whole community for a sin of such a magnitude. Despite having a sought out system of punishment for sinners, the tougher task for these leaders was to figure out who in fact was a sinner, as some did not confess. Those who did not confess or who had not been caught would behave hypocritically in order to preserve their reputation and avoid punishment. In both Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Scarlet Letter and Arthur Miller s The Crucible, the repercussions of committing adultery are exhibited through characters in two different puritanical societies. Arthur Dimmesdale, Hester Prynne, John Proctor, and Abigail Williams are all victims to this. Despite living in sincere societies, these characters behave hypocritically in order to hide a concealed truth, resulting in internal ignominy, until they ultimately confess. Arthur Dimmesdale shows his guilt and

Bikini Bottom Marxist Theory Marx s Bikini Bottom When a child is watching the television show SpongeBob SquarePants, it is often viewed as an innocent, comical, cartoon about a Sponge and his day to day activities. But later in life, after learning about Marx s Theory, one can explain the correlation between the two polar opposites. Marx s Theory is the political and economic philosophy of Karl Marxand Friedrich Engels in which the concept of class struggle plays a central role in understanding society s allegedly inevitable development from bourgeois oppression under capitalism to a socialist and ultimately classless society ( Marxism). The entire town of Bikini Bottom is exactly how a Marxist City would be set up, with each level of the social structure demonstrated with different characters in different classes; poor, middle, and upper. The lowest class in the today s social structure would be considered the poor, which is often viewed as lazy, education lacking people who are not willing work in order to move up through the social structure. Patrick, one of the main characters in SpongeBob SquarePants, presents these views to be true while he is participating in his role in Bikini Bottom. He has no source of income, does not attend school, has little belongings and lives under a rock. In episode 13 of season 9 he refers to his unemployment as funemployment when he tries to convince SpongeBob that he does not need to work (Hillenburg). Another character displayed is Plankton. When I first heard the song, I immediately searched for it on the internet and listened to the whole version because I thought it was such a powerful song. The lyrics of the song tell a story, it is one of pain and sorrow, but it s a story that I think everyone can relate to. The lyrics are very simple and they all come together to form a detailed depiction of Bradley s emotions. When I hear Bradley sing about his loss, it triggers me into thinking about the loved ones that I have lost. The rhythm of the song is very slow pace and calm, which sets the mood for Bradley s gritty deep voice, but when the chorus hits, then the saxophone jumps in to excite the whole song. The beat is soft enough to induce a deep thought and when the chorus hits, you do not get the usual sense of excitement but rather one of contempt delight. Lastly, the artist is another thing that triggers a Dionysian response for me, the reason being that Bradley looks just like my grandfather that passed about a year ago. Every time I see Bradley, I think of my grandfather and all of the time I spent with him, not to mention that the author s last name matches that of my family. Overall, I would say that the emotional response that I get when I hear this song is one of blissfulness and

William Shakespeare truly focused on their relationship and thus allowed readers to understand the way the roles in the relationship are switched, the trust between them and how ambitious they are. Macbeth and Lady Macbethare the two primary characters and thrive off each others actions and decisions. Macbethand Lady Macbeths marriage revolves around the need for power, this is why Macbeth is Lady Macbeth s transportation, and she is his fuel. Unfortunately, they are both corrupted by the power they desire. They are partners in crime who slowly drift apart as the power overcomes them. Furthermore, Its is evident that throughout the first half of the play, Lady Macbeth plays the role as the man, and Macbeth plays the role of the women. Dna Fingerprint Evidence At A Crime Scene The first step in processing fingerprint evidence at a crime scene begins with documentation through the use of photography, sketches and detailed notes on the condition and disposition of the evidence. Often, latent prints can be used to establish the identity of a suspect or victim at a crime scene and can be considered as one of the most valuable forms of physical evidence. Processing evidence at a crime scene is a long, tedious process to ensure that delicate evidence, such as fingerprints can be preserved. When processing fingerprints, the location and condition of the print should be identified to determine the most appropriate technique for processing. There are two primary types of surfaces: porous and non porous. Porous surfaces absorb fingerprintresidue like paper, cardboard or unfinished wood. Conventional chemical techniques used on these types of surfaces include Silver Nitrate, Iodine Fuming, Ninhydrin and SuperGlue Fuming. Non porous surfaces consist of plastics, glass, and metal. These prints are usually lifted with the powder dusting technique; however, caution should be used while processing latent print residue on non porous surfaces as they can easily smear. Powdered latent prints are then lifted with tape. (Lee, Gaesslen, 2001) Upon the arrival to a local homicide scene at a convenience store/gas station, several items to be processed for fingerprint evidence were identified to include, a Lottery Ticket on the counter with a bloody, smeared print on

  • 38. How Does Shakespeare Present Supernatural In Macbeth How does Shakespeare present the Supernatural in Macbeth? Shakespeare wrote the tragedy Macbeth in 1606 when witchcraft and the supernatural were feared throughout England. Macbeth is a fictitious play about a Scottish nobleman who becomes king due to the ill effects of the supernatural, which ultimately leads to his downfall. Shakespeare presents the supernatural through the use of witchcraft as one of the main instigators for the story of Macbeth ghosts, apparitions and dark imagery as an integral part of the structure of the plot, the catalysts for action and change. The way the supernatural is presented by Shakespeare was heavily influenced by James I. In his book, Daemonologie, James I wrote a description of a witch that directly correlates to the witches in Macbeth. For example one of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is particularly evident in the witch s chorus of the line Fair is foul and foul is fair . This quote shows the contradictory and riddle like manner of the witches which would confuse the audience and causes a sense of uncertainty around the characters. This phrase resonates throughout the whole play and it serves as an impacting first scene. The adjective Foul could portray the tone for the rest of the play as it is repeated at regular intervals throughout, for example; played st most foully for t and by the doctor Foul whisperings are abroad . The repetition of foul keeps the adjective prevalent in the audience s mind throughout the play and therefore they associate it with the murders that occurred and the supernatural. This can be supported by events at the time the play was written, in 1606 after the Gun Powder Plot, which Shakespeare uses as a stimulus for Macbeth. This deters the Jacobean audience to commit such deeds themselves as they know it is the effect of the supernatural and evil spirits alike who serve chaos and

It destroyed cities and countries, and many people suffered from it. What is the plague? The plague or referred to as the Black Death, according to the CDC (2015), is a disease that affects humans and other mammals and caused by the Yersinia pestis bacteria. Humans usually get plague after being bitten by a rodent flea that is carrying the plague bacterium or by handling an animal infected with plague . There are three categories of a plague. There is the bubonic plague, which is the most common form. With this form bacteria infects the lymph system and causes it to become inflamed. Symptoms of this type of plague are fever, headache, chills, and swollen and tender lymph nodes, which are called buboes. Then there is the Septicemic, which occurs when the bacteria multiply in the blood. Symptoms of this type of plague are fever, chills, extreme weakness, abdominal pain, shock, and possibly bleeding into the skin and other organs. Also, skin and other tissues may turn black and die, especially fingers, toes and the nose (CDC, 2015). Then there is the Pneumonic Plague, which is the most serious form of plague and occurs when Y. pestis bacteria infect the lungs and cause pneumonia (NIH, 2015). This is the only form of the plague that can be transmitted human to human. Symptoms of this form of the plague are ever, headache, weakness, and a rapidly

However, reservoir production operations are not always conducted in the specified order, for example, the tertiary process may be applied at secondary stage instead of water flooding. The term tertiary recovery is not widely used in petroleum engineering literature and the term of enhanced oil recovery (EOR) became more accepted in today s industry. Another description occasionally normally used is improve oil recovery (IOR), which includes EOR but also includes a broader range of activities, such as reservoir characterisation, improved reservoir management, and infill drilling. 2.1.1Primary Recovery Primary ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is therefore vital to have a good understanding of these principles prior to moving forward with this project. (Reference) This can be expressed as the ratio of mobility of displacing fluid to that of displaced fluid. In a water flooding system, if M 1, the displacing fluid moves faster than the displaced liquid that is, oil. This is not desirable due to the displacing fluid overflowing displaced fluid. For M much larger than 1, the displacing fluid will channel past the oil front. M should be less than or equal to 1 for maximum displacement efficiency. Viscous/ polymer fluid is used in ASP project to achieve M being less than unity. (Ref bib) This is possible by: Improving relative permeability (water and oil) Increasing the viscosity of displacing fluid, Water Decreasing the viscosity of displaced fluid, oil 2.3Classification of EOR methods Enhanced oil Recovery methods can be broken into two groups; Thermal and non thermal. The main focus of this project lies under non thermal and in Chemical Floods. The most common global form of EOR is non thermal. 2.4Chemical Flooding Chemicals can be injected into reservoirs to improve oil recovery and efficiency. Surfactants like alkaline have a tendency to alter the interfacial tension properties when injected which improves oil production. The main challenge introduced while flooding with chemicals is the adsorption and

The chosen trends are structural unemployment, gender pay gap and skill shortage. The main causes of the first trend are increase demand for services and technological change, which have led us into a new era where highly skilled labour force is needed to operate more complex machineries and computer systems. The rapid technological change has caused structural unemployment, with workers willing to work but cannot because of their lack of required skills. The second trend, gender pay gap, illustrates how wide the pay gap between males and females is until today. The main causes of this current direction... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Structural unemployment has been attributed to the high incidence of long term unemployment, which leaves many lacking the skills needed to reenter the workforce. Furthermore, structural inefficiencies in the labour market originated by long term unemployment, which weakens job capabilities, job search success and job preparedness (Lewis, 2006). One of the effects of structural unemployment is work intensification. The few people qualified for the job are overloaded with work, being forced to work longer hours in the attempt on meeting companies targets. Almost 13 of full time employees work routinely more than 48 hours per week, and 13 of these work frequently more than 60 hours per week (Peetz et al, 2003). According to the OECD report, Australia has the most substantial percentage of workers operating long hours in the OECD and it is now the 2nd longest working time nation in the advanced world (OECD report, 2012). On the other hand, 1 in 7 workers is underemployed: that means, they are employed for less hours than they want, and 14 of these have a part time job because they cannot find full time work, limited by their scarcity or mis match of skills (Wilkins, 2007). Moreover, Australia has one of the biggest percentage of underemployment among developed countries as well as a remarkable amount of long term redundancy (OECD report, 2012). Nursery rhymes were used in a way to relay a hidden message that spoke out against the British government. However, guardians and educators communicated the significance of nursery rhymes to children at a youthful age, asserting that they are critical for them to build up an urge for dialect, syllables, and rhythm. Individuals would think that nursery rhymes were sweet and innocent, but in between those lines was a hidden message that was derogatory. Nursery rhymes originated in Britain roughly around the seventeenth hundreds. Many nursery rhymes were popular poems like Hickory Dickory Dock. Be that as it may, does Hickory Dickory Dock have a mischievous significance behind its snappy tune? Hickory Dickory Dock is a straightforward nursery rhyme about a mouse and a clock. However, it presumably alludes to one of Britain s minimum rulers who showed up on the political scene in the seventeenth century. This was one of a number of musical styles which had their roots in this time period. This increasing in diversity resulted from the fusion of African and European musical ideas in the Southern States of the U.S. It was not so much a deliberate crafting by musicscholars, but more the result of experimentation and informal learning by example, often by self taught musicians who played in streets and bars. This quote explains the diversity that ragtime brings to African American music. Ragtime music a cultural asset to music that incorporates blues, jazz, stride, novelty piano, and honky tonk. In its purest form, Ragtime was played as an instrumental on a solo piano, an instrument which most honkytonk bars and saloons possessed. The rhythm is ragged in ragtime music, which contributes to the name ragtime. Ragtime means syncopated time . Ernest Hogan, a pioneer of ragtime music. also contributed to the term ragtime from Shake Rag , which is Hogan s hometown in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Ragtime music has many composers from the ... In a free market economy, almost all choices and decisions are based on the individual, rather in which a command economy, the government has absolute control with a few exceptions. Many economies strive to achieve the goals of efficiency, growth and innovation, and employment simply because these are some of the main factors in which a economy grows, whether it be free marketor command. When making decisions to benefit economies, many choices must be made such as if you take complete control of businesses, there is no room for a society of humans to grow, whereas there is entrepreneurship, not only does the economy benefit financially, but there is opportunity for citizens to expand their businesses. A economy that leaves choices to be made by citizens not only prosper as... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In free enterprise, one aspect would be voluntary exchange. A example of voluntary exchange would be if someone is selling a house that they bought for $50,000 to someone else for the price of $100,000.00, and the buyer is buying the house as a way he is moving into a bigger house, that would be considered voluntary exchange because both the buyer and seller would be better off after the exchange than before it. • 54. Design And Construction Of Australia 2DESIGN CONSTRUCTION 2.1Introduction As the world s population increases airlines along with airports have been experiencing higher air transport demands. These demand not only passengers arriving and departing from airports, but also from growths in freight. Higher demands for passenger and freight throughput has caused major airports to struggle to efficiently accommodate air transport flow in busy periods, causing congestion and delays (Solak et al. 2009; Zhang Zhang 2006). Solak et al. (2009) asserts that the implementation of tougher airport security due to terrorism has caused airports to become additionally congested and experience extended delays. For example, Australia s population is rapidly increasing and is becoming a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Other possibilities are to build a new airport or utilise other existing underused airports, for example in Melbourne Avalon Airport can be used in conjunction with Tullamarine Airport (Engineers Australia 2010; Kwakkel et al. 2010). The two fore mentioned possibilities would require the management of multi airport systems (De Neufville 1995). 2.2Literature Review With long term growths in passenger and freight volumes expected in airports all around the world, airports are planning and implementing various strategies to meet those expected future demands (Solak et al. 2009; Kwakkel et al. 2010). A planner s proposals and strategies in which an airport can implement over a number of years in order to facilitate the forecasted growth of passengers and freight is known as an airport master plan (Kwakkel et al. 2010). Bradley (2010) states that an airport s capacity is a result of a number of different combined factors. These include how much aircraft movement over a specific period its runway can handle, the number of aircrafts its apron can accommodate, as well as how much incoming and outgoing passengers and freight its terminal can facilitate per hour (Caves 1994; Bradley 2010). An airport master plan can include airport expansion, maintenance and upgrades, the development of a new airport or even the utilisation of multiple airports in a city. Regardless of the plan the necessary design and

Piggy uses his glasses to help the other boys see , both physically and intellectually, the best and most reasonable way forward. However, any time they are removed from the beach, chaos is sure to ensue. The first time, when the boys go to the mountain to light the signal fire, Jack and the other boys pry the glasses off Piggy s face so they can use them as burning glasses.
