ABSTRACT In recent years, digital media are widely popular, their security related issues are
becoming greater importance. Watermarking is the process of hiding digital data in a carrier signal.
Embedding a digital signal such as audio, video or image with the information which cannot be
removed easily is called digital watermarking. Digital watermarking mainly used to verify the
authenticity, integrity of the carrier signal or to show the identity of its owners. In this paper, we
present a survey on various digital watermarking techniques. This paper mainly concentrates a
detailed survey of all watermarking techniques on image watermarking types in today s world.
Index Terms Digital watermarking, spatial domain, Least Significant Bit (LSB), Frequency domain,
Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT), Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), and Discrete Fourier

The Civil War Of 1861
The Civil War took place in 1861 and it lasted up until 1865. It was a war between the United States
or, The Union army rather, and eleven deep rooted southern states known as the Confederacy. The
Civil War occurred mainly as a direct response to slavery. The South preferred to keep slavery and the
North simply wanted to preserve the Union. However, there were many other incidents that occurred
and there were different battles that caused the Civil War to have its end results. Those battles will be
addressed in the following paragraphs. The very first battle took place in 1861. It was known as both
The Battle of Bull Run and the Battle of Manassas. The Union army, led by General Irvin Manassas,
was slightly larger than the Confederate army, led by P.G.T. Beauregard. It took place in northern

appeared to be successful, but the Confederates managed to survive. They later went on to
counterattack the Union and McDowell and his army were forced to retreat back to Washington. This

Reading No Normal was my first ever experience with the Ms. Marvel spinoff, and I absolutely loved
it. I think choosing a sixteen year old, Pakistani American, Muslim girl as the main hero was a bold
move for the American comic book giant Marvel, but I believe it truly paid off. In Ms. Marvel: No
Normal, Kamala is a wonderful representation of female empowerment through self identity. The
main plot point of the comic is that Kamala, (a Muslim high school girl struggling with her faith and
identity) is asked if she d like to attend a party where alcohol will be served, which is a violation of

However, this image also doesn t truly show Kamala as herself. Although I myself am a white woman,
I personally felt empowered when Kamala s father tells her, you don t have to be someone else to
impress anybody. You are perfect just the way you are. As she tries on her different identities, she
realizes that she doesn t fit into either image, both American and Muslim. Using her own wit and
motivation, she creates her own identity instead. I really enjoyed the representation of female strength
in this comic.
One portion of the plot that I thought was very interesting was Kamala s personal identity intersecting
with her sense of strength. When Kamala finally accepts her true self, she s forced to shrink into a tiny
version of herself. Although this was pivotal to the action packed plot, I thought this specific metaphor
was interesting. I connected her finally accepting herself, (for she hadn t yet, not completely,) to have
to being reborn, or a type of hero s journey where she has to reemerge as her true self, fully realized,
in order to succeed. It s only in the fifth and final volume that Kamala is capable of mastering her
powers, after being shrank. With Bruno s help, she physically, (and mentally) grows into a giant, her
truly realized, heroine form to save the day.

Each chapter on quantitative methods describes key theoretical choices and how these are executed in
IBM SPSS Statistics. Unlike most other books, we do not discuss theory or SPSS, but link the two.
This is a book for non technical readers! All chapters are written in an accessible and comprehensive
way so that non technical readers can also easily grasp the data analysis methods. Each chapter on
research methods includes simple examples to help the reader get a hands on feel for the technique.
Each chapter concludes with an illustrated real life case, demonstrating the application of a
quantitative method. We also provide a second, real life case with an accompanying dataset, thus
allowing readers to practice what they have learnt. Other pedagogical features such as key words,
examples, and end of chapter questions support the contents. This book is concise, focusing on the
most important aspects that a market researcher, or manager interpreting market research, should
know. Many chapters provide links to further readings and other websites besides that of the book.
