Critical Limb Ischemi Acute Presentation Of Peripheral...
Background
Critical limb ischemia is severe presentation of peripheral arterial disease. The incidence of Critical
limb ischemia could increase with age and atherosclerotic risk factors such as, diabetes, cigarette
smoking, obesity or hypertension .The prevalence of critical limb ischemia is approximately 12% in
the adult population especially men compared to women (Davies 2012). Critical limb ischemia could
lead to insufficient blood and oxygen supply to the affected tissues compromising limb viability.
Manifestation of this disease include, claudication, rest pain or tissue loss.
Critical limb ischemia could affect the functional capacity a decrease in overall well being and quality

2013). Nevertheless, Percutaneous transluminal angioplasty and Bare metal stents failed to
demonstrate durability because of the high rate of restenosis following endovascular procedure which
could occur early after treatment (Falkowski et al. 2009)
The lack of recognized durable antirestontic result after plain balloon angioplasty lead to the
investigation of alternative procedures. After the success of drug eluting stents in decreasing coronary
restenosis after percutaneous coronary interventions, drug eluting stent was recommended as salvage
procedure in case of Percutaneous transluminal angioplasty failure (Rosales, Mathewkutty Gnaim
2008).
Stent devices were invented in the 1980s and refined in the 1990s. Stenting techniques have
transformed and expanded the therapeutic capabilities of angioplasty. There are two classification for
stents based on their mode of deployment balloon expandable and self expandable. Stents are small
mesh tubes which inserted to keep arteries open after angioplasty procedure. Drug eluting stents have
a polymer coating over mesh. This Polymer coatings have been proven to be durable and deliver drug
in a uniform and controlled way ( White, Hollier 2007).
This essay is aim to assess the effectiveness of Drug eluting stent on long term limb preservation of
infrapopliteal vessel patency in patients with Critical limb ischemia due to below the knee arterial

The Effects Of Climate Change On Human Activities
The Fraudulence of Climate Change Humans have been emitting increasingly large amounts of carbon
dioxide into the atmosphere since the industrial revolution. A common misconception created by the
Liberal Left is that this pollution is harmful to the atmosphere and is a direct cause of climate change.
However many studies have disputed this claim, conversely concluding that pollution caused by
human activities are not correlated to climate change in any way. In the theory of climate change,
there is one undisputable fact, human pollution has risen significantly during the past century. Some
scientists may claim that this pollution fuels climate change. A significant flaw in this theory is that
climate change isn t even occurring. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In fact this exact scenario happened! Up until the Little Ice Age in the 14th and 15th centuries, the
global temperature was rising. This took place before any industrialization, therefore there would be
no human made pollution to cause this warming. This in itself exposes the fallacy of climate change.
Any way you look at it, the climate change theory is flawed. If you accept the pre 1979 readings as
true, then you would see an isolated case of global warming which could not have been caused by
human pollution, thus proving climate change is a natural phenomenon. If you only take into account
the post 1979 readings, then you will see that climate change is not even occurring. The climate
change theory has been plagued by scandals. The Left is promoting climate change in order to push
their own political agenda. Since climate change is potentially devastating to the earth, which
everyone wants to preserve, then liberals can use this issue as a trump card. They are basically saying
that in order to avoid extinction, we need to vote for them above anyone else who doesn t accept
climate change as fact. Politicians feed on climate change s imminent destruction in order to sway
moderate voters to the left. They appeal to our primal instincts of self preservation in order to become
elected, and once elected, they can pass unrelated legislation. In addition to politicians,
environmentalists benefit from the theory of climate

Richard Wagner s Argumentative Essay
An ongoing dilemma that people face when it comes to music is being able to separate the person
from the music that they compose. And an even bigger dilemma is whether we should separate a
person s personal actions and/or morals from their music? It is my opinion that we should be able to
separate a person s actions, beliefs, and/or morals from their music and throughout this essay I am
going to provide you with evidence that supports this claim using Richard Wagner as the primary
example. Wagner died in 1883 and Adolf Hitler heard Richard Wagner s work for the first time in
1901. From that moment on Hitler described about how captivated he was by Wagner s music
(Kerbjuweit). Not only was Hitler, like the rest of the world, captivated by ... Show more content on

Though Wagner s article is morally wrong, Wagner and his music cannot be blamed for the sole
influence on Hitler and his anti Semitic views. Scholars say that because Hitler was so captivated by
Wagner s music it led to him reading his article Judaism and Music which ultimately lead to Hitler s
reign. However, Hitler wasn t the only person to be completely captivated by his music. Even though
Wagner had disrespectful intentions when composing music, regarding Jewish people, I do not believe
that his intentions matter when it comes to the music itself. Not everyone understands the technique
that is involved in writing music and not everyone is able to articulate what they hear in the piece
because they do not have the musical training to explain. Therefore, it is crazy to believe that solely
Wagner s intentions when writing a piece should be taken into consideration. Because not everyone
can construct into musical terms what they hear, they create their own analogies and conclusions on
what the music is about, based on their own personal experience. An audience may interpret a piece in
a completely different way than the artist intended. With that thought in mind it can also be said that it
is not the job of the audience to understand the artist. Even if the audience did understand the artist,
they wouldn t be able to understand

Ludwig Van Beethoven Essay
The composer of some of the most influential pieces of music ever
written, Ludwig van Beethoven created a bridge between the 18th century
classical period and the new beginnings of Romanticism. His greatest
breakthroughs in composition came in his instrumental work, including
his symphonies. Unlike his predecessor Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, for whom
writing music seemed to come easily, Beethoven always struggled to
perfect his work.
Ludwig van Beethoven was born in Bonn, Germany, and was baptized on
Dec. 17, 1770. (There is no record of his birth date.) His father and
grandfather worked as court musicians in Bonn. Ludwig s father, a
singer, gave him his early musical training. Although he had only meager ... Show more content on

Beethoven was convinced that the condition not only was permanent, but
was getting progressively worse. He spent that summer in the country and
wrote what has become known as the quot;Heiligenstadt Testament. quot; In the
document, apparently intended for his two brothers, Beethoven expressed
his humiliation and despair. For the rest of his life he searched for a
cure, but by 1819 his deafness had become total. Afterward, in order to
have conversations with his friends, Beethoven had them write down their
questions and replied orally.
Beethoven never married. Though he had many friends, he seemed to be
a lonely man. He continued to appear in public but spent more and more
of his time working on his compositions. He lived in various villages
near Vienna and took long walks carrying sketchbooks in which he would
write down his musical ideas. Scholars who have studied these
sketchbooks have discovered the agonizingly long process that the
composer went through in order to perfect his melodies, harmonies, and
instrumentations.
Three Periods of Work
Most critics divide Beethoven s work into three general periods,
omitting the earliest years of his apprenticeship in Bonn. Although some
pieces do not fit exactly into the scheme, these divisions can be used
to categorize the composer s work.
The first period, from 1794 to about 1800, consists of music whose

Reaction Paper On ECG Waveform
BioMedical Matlab Thesis ECG Waveform Jessica Garcia,
BioMedical MatLab,Thesis Final Prof. Jonathan Ibera 11 9 17
An ECG, or electrocardiogram, is a waveform generated by the natural sinus rhythm of the heart. It is
an electrical representation of the heart beat in form of what is known as a PQRST Complex. The
physical generation of this sinusoidal heart rhythm waveform is generated by the expansion and
contraction of the four different chambers of the heart that work collectively to pump blood through
the human body.
The biomedical piece of equipment used to measure this electrical activity of the heart is an Electro
Cardiogram machine, also widely known as an ECG. This electrical signal is acquired by electrodes
placed on the human body. On screen, the heart rate appears in form of a wave in which each pulse
and different peaks if the waveform, known as the PQRST waveform, represents a small amount of an
electrical signal.
These signals have different peaks, which are representations of different levels of electrical intensity,
are detected by the electrodes that then transmit the energy to a sensor that helps the processor
measure the actual value of this peak. Below is a representation of the heart rate waveform and its
named peaks.
Upon analysis of these waveforms collected by medical professional, they are able to tell many things.
They are able to analyze and assess regular heart rhythms as well as any other abnormal

Iroquois Creation Story Analysis
Through the use of supernatural motifs that later shape the world, David Cusick s work illustrates the
enduring struggle between good and evil, God and the Devil, heaven and hell.
A New Critical Approach toward the Iroquois Creation Story The Iroquois Confederacy, a union of
ultimately six different Native American tribes, was a proud and powerful alliance of Indians living to
the northeast of Lake Ontario near New England during the 17th century. One tribe was known as the
Haudenosaunee, or The People of the Longhouse, whose vast domain housed some villages of over
2000 people at one point a testament to their authority and wide reaching influence (Baym et al. 17).
Of great importance to the Iroquois people were their creation stories, which peacefully coexisted in
over 25 versions. One particular cosmogonic myth has been accurately re told by David Cusick, a
Tuscarora Indian, and was entitled The Iroquois Creation Story (Baym et al. 18). It was recorded in

Social Conflict Theory Paper
Social conflict theory sees social life as a race and centers on the allocation of resources, power, and
inequality. Social conflict theory is a Marxist based social theory which argues that individuals and
groups (social classes) within society interact based on conflict rather than consensus. More powerful
groups will tend to use their power in order to retain power and exploit groups with less power
(Butler, 1991; Payne, 2015). According to conflict theory, those with wealth and power try to hold on
to it by any means possible, chiefly by suppressing the poor and powerless (Collins, 1990). Moreover,
the theory revolves around concepts of social inequality in the division of resources and focuses on the
conflicts that exist between classes.

2. Review Your Traffic Sources
The sources of your traffic matter a lot. This is the reason why your CPC (Cost per Click) may be low
despite having a large number of views every month. Getting traffic from the United States and the
UK is very vital if you want to increase CPC. So target traffic from these countries.
3. Where Are Your Ads Placed?
When it comes to getting high CTR, the location of your ads will determine how much you earn. If
you want to know to how to increase your Google AdSense earnings, you need to put ads around your
content and above the fold. This is because ads placed above the fold perform a lot better than ads
placed below the fold. The more obvious the ads are, the higher the chances of them being noticed by
visitors. Be careful not to put too many ads on your blog because it may turn off visitors.
4. Know the perfect Ad Size
All sites are not the same. However, publishers most likely see 0.35 eCPMs when they use the wider

Feudal Society In Medieval Europe
A feudal society is one in which the lords carry a significant measure of power by owning land.
Workers known as Serfs are included on the land. Serfs owe the lord a certain amount of labor as well
as give the lord a portion of their goods. The lords then gives protection to the serfs from their knights.
To get knights, the lord offers a fief(land) to the knight in exchange for military service. A feudal
society had the characteristic of being decentralized. It also had major roles and responsibilities that
everyone needed to follow in order to keep the society intact. During the early Middle Ages,
decentralized governments, attacks from the Vikings and other barbarians, and the strong power of the
Church strongly abetted the formation of the feudal society in Medieval Europe. ... Show more content

When a government system is decentralized, then it may lack a strong military and infrastructure.
After the fall of Charlemagne s empire, his society required a lot of strong lords with powerful armies
to protect the people because there was no strong centralized government. This led to feudalism
because the people were in need of protection and had no strong centralized government to make a
strong army. The feudal society consisted of a decentralized government and had a strong army.
Another factor that led to the development of feudal societies, were the attacks from the Vikings and
other barbarians. Because The Vikings were so fierce and quick when they attacked, it made them
almost indefensible and very difficult to fight. When Charlemagne s empire fell, it suffered many
attacks from The Vikings that gradually weakened their government. Feudalism allowed for protection

The Go-Between
The Go Between
The story The Go Between is a short story written by Ali Smith in 2009. The story was written for a
collection of short stories written to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the United Nations adoption of
the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The story is inspired by Article 13, which stands for the
right to freedom of movement.
In the story we read about a 33 year old man who s name is not revealed. The 33 year old man is a
former microbiologist and has worked in a university. In the text we follow this man who gives the
reader a directly insight in how it s like to be an African refugee trying to cross the border between

The refugees wish so desperately to enter Europe that the narrator describes it as the Spanish

and all the refugees can think of is how much they want to leave Morocco and enter Europe. The
refugees also pay all their money to a Network that promises them a boat, but the Network only takes

The Identificity Of Technology, Communication, And Digital...
How closely are you connected with those around you? How much do you rely on your phone not just
for communication but also for finding answers to questions or even keeping a schedule? Have you
consulted artificial intelligence about your dating questions? We as a society have moved into this
dependence on everything technology, artificial, and social media. We would much rather message or
post a question about a certain topic than actually ask somebody in person. And it s not just for
convenience, as we become more and more dependent on social media, texting, posting, and
technology in general, we subconsciously continue to wear down our ability to communicate and trust
one another on a physical level. A simple conversation with another person can go a lot further than an
email or text message. But why do we forfeit the physical interaction with someone for a digital
communication that simply does not have the lasting impression that a physical interaction has? As
stated by Sherry Turkle, in her article Flight From Conversation. We ve become accustomed to a new
way of being alone together. Technology enabled, we are able to be with one another, and also
elsewhere, connected to wherever we want to be. We want to customize our lives . (Turkle 49) Simply
put we are becoming more self important and more content socializing by ourselves. We like to have
things our way and we like to have it on our time. Turkle then continues on to say that A high school

Summary Of Cholera
Valerie Montague Reading Response 6
Aberth
He begins by describing the identification of cholera by Koch and some of the epidemiology. Cholera
is a gastrointestinal disease marked by excessive defecation and vomiting at alarming rates. This along
with a toxin in the small intestines causes dehydration and wearing down of the GI tract. The first
known pandemic of cholera began in 1817 and persisted in various parts of the world throughout the
19th century. The disease presents an interesting way to look at social ideologies and imperialism in
19th century Europe with some people accusing others of poison as the cause of the disease. Also
those who died of cholera were often given dishonorable burials and designated for dissection. Aberth
finishes the chapter by talking about John Snow, a British surgeon who traced cholera back to sewage
contaminated with feces decades before germ theory was recognized.

Evans argues that cholera played a large role in political change and medicalization. To analyze this,
he looked at the psychological impact of cholera, the extent of political upheaval, and scapegoats for
the epidemic as a mode for policy change. For the first point, Evan stated that the symptoms of
cholera went against feelings of Victorian prudery as the disease is degrading. He continues by
pointing out the idea that the poor are most vulnerable to the epidemic. For his second point, Evans
links the outbreaks of cholera to political revolutions and upheavals. Continuing on with this point, he
says that mass movement of people by war and trade played a large role in the spread of the disease.
For his third point, he shows various scapegoats such as the government with the cordons sanitares .

The Grunge Band In The 90 s

creating music for others. In the 90s, the grunge and rap communities would express annoyance
towards how society functioned during this chaotic decade. The United States was undergoing an
economic boom which affected the music world. In terms of political change, the government and
society had disagreements over the scandals and controversial issues being discussed throughout

Its mixture of punk and heavy metal truly displayed their sense of frustration, anger, depression and

and true, and they captured what youth was going at that time ( Nirvana in the Nineties ). Based on
this statement, regardless of their messages, this anger infused band truly believed that citizens should
be fully aware of the toxic problems that were going on in society. Examples of societal issues
included several crimes such as assault, prostitution, and robbery that were committed under the
influence of drugs (USA, DEA 91). Drugs, specifically heroin, were a major issue at the time. Heroin
was previously smuggled into the United States from Asia, but it had a new source during the 90s
South America. The percentage of Southeast Asian heroin from the DEA s Heroin Signature Program
rose from 9 percent in 1977 to 58 percent in 1991 (USA, DEA 95). Because of this increase in heroin,
it became more common to find in the United States. Even Kurt Cobain, the lead singer of Nirvana,
had a heroin addiction. When he committed suicide in 1994, it was shown that he had heroin in his
bloodstream. Several other grunge artists at the time were involved with drugs such as Alice in
Chains, Sublime, and Hole (Rosier). Because of this, parents began to hate the type of music teenagers
were being absorbed in during this time. For example, in the introduction of Grunge: Music and

In this world only the paranoid survive. Dean Koontz
There are two types of recruiters out there: recruiters working for staffing agencies (including

Mozambique Is A Poor Country Essay
Introduction
Mozambique is a poor country located in South eastern Africa, having a population of 25, 303, 113 it

economic access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food, that meets dietary requirements for a healthy
lifestyle. Mozambique has a high level of food insecurity, like many other countries in Africa, putting
individuals, families and communities at risk. Some major factors in Mozambique that affect its food
security are poor agriculture, the occurrence of natural disasters, and the presence of diseases
particularly HIV and AIDS. Along with many other minor contributors such as food prices, urban
migration, and pollution of surface and coastal waters.
Background

Agni is within Soma , and Soma rises after Agni for its sustenance. As said above, Soma is existent in
all these regions, similarly, Agni pervades all the three regions in forms of Aditya (sun), Vidyut

couples with Agni (the fire principle). It is this merging of Soma and Agni that results in the formation

Work Of Art In The Age Of Mechanical Reproduction Summary
In the piece The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction, Benjamin tackles the evolution
of reproduction coinciding with the introduction advanced technologies; and how art, specifically
film, has transformed since this introduction. He asserts that reproduction has now become part of the
process in art because of mediums like film and photography, however their reliance on technology
creates less authenticity among art forms due to less of the original art still be connected to the piece.
While the authenticity starts to decrease, the number of people who are able to individually experience
the art increases because of technologies that are able to mass produce art. This creates his ideas of
auras, which are the unique connection between the object of art being experienced and the person
experiencing it. However, these objects that are desired to be experienced are sometimes only because
of what Benjamin refers to as the ritual they have, or history. Benjamin claims that technology
separates itself from this idea, creating a medium where reproduction is part of the underlying goal for
the work to be successful. This success creates the reception Benjamin breaks down into two different
values: cult value and exhibition value. Exhibition value he describes as what the art is valued at when
in a public setting, however cult value is the value assigned to art that is not available for the general
public to see. Technological reproduction now plays a larger part in

Tea Plantation in Bangladesh
Bangladesh produces and exports a large quantity of high quality tea. Most of the tea plantations are
situated in the northeastern areas of the country, around Sylhet and Srimongal. Sylhet is situated close
to Bangladesh s border with the Indian states of Meghalaya and Assam. This part of the country is
covered by hillocks rising to moderate heights. The rainfall is higher than average, a fact which British
tea planters realised in the 18th century to the advantage of tea cultivation. These conditions have
provided rich tropical forests with many species of wildlife, scented orange groves and pineapple
plantations. It is also the home of Khashia and Monipuri tribals.
The waterfalls of Madhab Kunda are another very picturesque place to visit. Jafflong, where the river
runs along the border between Bangladesh and India is especially beautiful. On the way there are
number of haors or marshy wetlands, which are natural, depressed swamps holding water almost the
whole year round. They are home to many fish and thousands of local and migratory birds.

The exploitations of the land began when King Leopold declared all unoccupied land owned by the
state. This move gave him exclusive rights to the lucrative trade in rubber and ivory. Soon afterwards,
private companies were formed to exploit the natural mineral wealth of the Congo. Along with the
exploitation of the land, the people were forced into slave labor. Natives were brutally forced to
collect rubber and mine for minerals. Under the agreement with King Leopold, Belgium annexed the
Congo in 1908. Under Belgian rule forced labor was gradually phased out. However, the Congo was
still perceived by the Belgian government as merely an economic investment. Very few if any
initiatives were established in order to promote the economic development of sectors important to the
welfare of the native people. The economic developments that were initiated were directly related to
the exploitation of the land. Railroads and other forms of transportation were developed in order to
increase the profits of the Belgian government. Plantations and large mining operations were formed
with native people occupying the labor pool.
Along with exploiting the Congo s natural resources, the Belgian government also established
Christian missionaries in order to civilize the natives. As a result, many Congolese citizens were
educated at the secondary level or higher. These same people would eventually protest

Goodall believed that chimpanzees and humans were more closely related then what was believed.
She used the scientific method to complete this experiment. The scientific method has five steps:
observation, induction, deduction, testing, and results. Goodall went to Gombe to observe the
chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Throughout the thirty years Goodall was able to recruit more
volunteers to come and help observe the chimpanzees. By there would be anywhere from 10 to 30
volunteers at a time to get as much information as possible. Goodall induction was that chimpanzees
and humans were similar in multiple ways. This hypothesis was based off of what she had seen in her
early years of observation. Deduction is an if/then statement made from assuming if the hypothesis
was true then this must be true. I could not figure out what Goodall s deduction for her experiment
was. I could imagine that her deduction was something along the lines of: if chimpanzees are similar
to humans in DNA and anatomy then chimpanzees must be similar in emotional and social behavior.
The next step would be testing this if/then statement. Goodall tested her hypothesis by watching the
chimpanzees in their natural environment. Goodall studied how the chimpanzees acted toward each
other, the emotions of the chimpanzees, and how the chimpanzees responded to different events such

Abstract The development of Renewable Energy (RE) sources and Energy Efficiency (EE)
technologies is a central aim of the world energy policy. A several international programs and
investments was developed in order to contribute in reducing Greenhouse Gas (GHG). The majority of
the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) countries possess substantial potential for the
implementation of such projects. Abatement of GHG emissions can mainly be achieved through
utilizing the abundant RE sources in the region and the implementation of EE measures. Tunisia
belong to those potential countries and is one of the few developing countries that have developed a

TIM 350
November 17, 2017 Key Internal Forces
Carnival Corporation plc is a global contender with the title of the world s largest cruise and leisure
travel company. The goal of this assessment is to analyze the strengths and weaknesses with the
financial ratio analysis of the company along with conducting an internal factor evaluation matrix to
view the status of the company in comparison with their top competitor, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.
Top strengths that Carnival Corporation plc has to their advantage would be their strong brand and
major control of the market share. Containing a strong brand portfolio with a total of 10 well known
brands operating about 102 ships. Such brands include Carnival Cruise Lines, Holland America Line,
Princess Cruises and Seabourn in North America; AIDA Cruises, Costa Cruises, Cunard, Ibero
Cruises, P O Cruises (Australia) and P O Cruises (UK) under the Europe, Austrailia Asia segments.
Along with Holland America Princess Alaska Tour and the Canadian Yukon (Olarte, 2017). The
company is also the largest cruise company in the world in terms of cruise passengers with a market
share of about 47% followed by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd with a market share of 23%
(Cederholm, 2015).
Example of weaknesses that Carnival Corporation plc has is their safety record. In early 2012, the
Costa Concordia struck off the coast of Isola del Giglio, Italy. In 2013, Carnival Cruise Line s
Triumph reported a fire, which left the ship adrift in the Gulf of Mexico (Carnival Corporation plc
SWOT Analysis, 2016). Among the other cruises, Carnival Cruise Lines have notably been the worse.
In 2009, the Center for Disease Control tracked all major outbreaks, about 56% on Carnival cruise
lines compared to a 48% average market share from 2009 2011. The company is also accounted for
worse safety record for persons lost at sea. Since 2000, about 179 disappearances happened with
Carnival Cruise Line alone (Levin , B., Jones, J., Slade, T., 2012).
Strengths:

degrees in different time zones. Yet we soon learn that these degrees mean nothing because the topics
he had studies had since expanded as more material has come to light, hence making it impossible to

Southwestern University Case Study Essay
Southwestern University Case Study Summary: Southwestern University is a state college in
Stephenville, Texas. The college is known for its Football and have been in the top 20 in the rankings
since the appointment of legendary Bo Pitterno in 2001 as the Head coach for the team. The coach
requested to upgrade the stadium or construct a new stadium to accommodate the large fan base. This
request was heard by the SWU s president, Dr Joel Wisner, who decided that they would upgrade the
stadium based on a forecast of when the current stadium would max out. Problem: Southwestern
University is experiencing a quickly expanding football program. As a result, attendance for home
games is increasing and approaching capacity. It is in the best interest of SWU to forecast attendance
to aid them in deciding when the best time to expand the present stadium, which now holds 54,000.

Social Security currently extends benefits to about 61.9 million people. In 1935, when it was first
created, under 225,000 people received benefits. President Franklin D. Roosevelt created the program
during the Great Depression. This was during a time period of economic instability and extreme
poverty rates. It was created to help reduce the amount of retirees living in poverty. This program
significantly helped to keep retirees off the street who lost their retirement fund during the Great
Depression. Later, other programs including Medicare and Federal Old Age, Survivors, and Disability
Insurance were introduced. Social Security is currently the largest and most expensive government run
program. Each paycheck an employee receives has a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

about risks associated with investing in the stock market. They believe this because investors are not
able to accurately predict what the market will do next. According to a researcher at the Cato Institute,
a research organization on public policy, Michael Tanner, states there have been many big drops in the
stock market over the years. Nobody is certain what it will do next (1). The market could be up one
day and down the next like a rollercoaster at an amusement park. Many people do not want to
privatize Social Security because investing in the stock market involves many risks, especially if all
the money invested is intended to last throughout retirement years. There is no guarantee any money
will be made. Many people also have the chance of losing large sums of money. People are
FRIGHTENED (sad) they could lose their safety net and have no money left. Some people also
believe it could be risky to involve the government with the stock market. A database that specializes
in business, political, and government debates believes, if the government were to become involved
with the stock market it would undermine basic free market principle and impair the economy ( Social
Security Reform 1). Some people are afraid the government would become too involved and control
what is PRESUMED (believed) to be a free market. It could corrupt the stock

  • 5. The Effects Of Climate Change On Human Activities The Fraudulence of Climate Change Humans have been emitting increasingly large amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere since the industrial revolution. A common misconception created by the Liberal Left is that this pollution is harmful to the atmosphere and is a direct cause of climate change. However many studies have disputed this claim, conversely concluding that pollution caused by human activities are not correlated to climate change in any way. In the theory of climate change, there is one undisputable fact, human pollution has risen significantly during the past century. Some scientists may claim that this pollution fuels climate change. A significant flaw in this theory is that climate change isn t even occurring. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In fact this exact scenario happened! Up until the Little Ice Age in the 14th and 15th centuries, the global temperature was rising. This took place before any industrialization, therefore there would be no human made pollution to cause this warming. This in itself exposes the fallacy of climate change. Any way you look at it, the climate change theory is flawed. If you accept the pre 1979 readings as true, then you would see an isolated case of global warming which could not have been caused by human pollution, thus proving climate change is a natural phenomenon. If you only take into account the post 1979 readings, then you will see that climate change is not even occurring. The climate change theory has been plagued by scandals. The Left is promoting climate change in order to push their own political agenda. Since climate change is potentially devastating to the earth, which everyone wants to preserve, then liberals can use this issue as a trump card. They are basically saying that in order to avoid extinction, we need to vote for them above anyone else who doesn t accept climate change as fact. Politicians feed on climate change s imminent destruction in order to sway moderate voters to the left. They appeal to our primal instincts of self preservation in order to become elected, and once elected, they can pass unrelated legislation. • 6. Richard Wagner s Argumentative Essay An ongoing dilemma that people face when it comes to music is being able to separate the person from the music that they compose. And an even bigger dilemma is whether we should separate a person s personal actions and/or morals from their music? It is my opinion that we should be able to separate a person s actions, beliefs, and/or morals from their music and throughout this essay I am going to provide you with evidence that supports this claim using Richard Wagner as the primary example. Wagner died in 1883 and Adolf Hitler heard Richard Wagner s work for the first time in 1901. From that moment on Hitler described about how captivated he was by Wagner s music (Kerbjuweit). Though Wagner s article is morally wrong, Wagner and his music cannot be blamed for the sole influence on Hitler and his anti Semitic views. Scholars say that because Hitler was so captivated by Wagner s music it led to him reading his article Judaism and Music which ultimately lead to Hitler s reign. However, Hitler wasn t the only person to be completely captivated by his music. Even though Wagner had disrespectful intentions when composing music, regarding Jewish people, I do not believe that his intentions matter when it comes to the music itself. Not everyone understands the technique that is involved in writing music and not everyone is able to articulate what they hear in the piece because they do not have the musical training to explain. Therefore, it is crazy to believe that solely Wagner s intentions when writing a piece should be taken into consideration. Because not everyone can construct into musical terms what they hear, they create their own analogies and conclusions on what the music is about, based on their own personal experience. An audience may interpret a piece in a completely different way than the artist intended. With that thought in mind it can also be said that it is not the job of the audience to understand the artist. Even if the audience did understand the artist, they wouldn t be able to understand ... Ludwig Van Beethoven Essay The composer of some of the most influential pieces of music ever written, Ludwig van Beethoven created a bridge between the 18th century classical period and the new beginnings of Romanticism. His greatest breakthroughs in composition came in his instrumental work, including his symphonies. Unlike his predecessor Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, for whom writing music seemed to come easily, Beethoven always struggled to perfect his work. Ludwig van Beethoven was born in Bonn, Germany, and was baptized on Dec. 17, 1770. (There is no record of his birth date.) His father and grandfather worked as court musicians in Bonn. For the rest of his life he searched for a cure, but by 1819 his deafness had become total. • 8. Beethoven never married. Though he had many friends, he seemed to be a lonely man. He continued to appear in public but spent more and more of his time working on his compositions. He lived in various villages near Vienna and took long walks carrying sketchbooks in which he would write down his musical ideas. Scholars who have studied these sketchbooks have discovered the agonizingly long process that the composer went through in order to perfect his melodies, harmonies, and instrumentations. Three Periods of Work Most critics divide Beethoven s work into three general periods, omitting the earliest years of his apprenticeship in Bonn. Reaction Paper On ECG Waveform BioMedical Matlab Thesis ECG Waveform Jessica Garcia, BioMedical MatLab,Thesis Final Prof. Jonathan Ibera 11 9 17 An ECG, or electrocardiogram, is a waveform generated by the natural sinus rhythm of the heart. It is an electrical representation of the heart beat in form of what is known as a PQRST Complex. The physical generation of this sinusoidal heart rhythm waveform is generated by the expansion and contraction of the four different chambers of the heart that work collectively to pump blood through the human body. The biomedical piece of equipment used to measure this electrical activity of the heart is an Electro Cardiogram machine, also widely known as an ECG. This electrical signal is acquired by electrodes placed on the human body. On screen, the heart rate appears in form of a wave in which each pulse and different peaks if the waveform, known as the PQRST waveform, represents a small amount of an electrical signal. These signals have different peaks, which are representations of different levels of electrical intensity, are detected by the electrodes that then transmit the energy to a sensor that helps the processor measure the actual value of this peak. Below is a representation of the heart rate waveform and its named peaks. Upon analysis of these waveforms collected by medical professional, they are able to tell many things. Cholera is a gastrointestinal disease marked by excessive defecation and vomiting at alarming rates. This along with a toxin in the small intestines causes dehydration and wearing down of the GI tract. The first known pandemic of cholera began in 1817 and persisted in various parts of the world throughout the 19th century. The disease presents an interesting way to look at social ideologies and imperialism in 19th century Europe with some people accusing others of poison as the cause of the disease. Also those who died of cholera were often given dishonorable burials and designated for dissection. The college is known for its Football and have been in the top 20 in the rankings since the appointment of legendary Bo Pitterno in 2001 as the Head coach for the team.
