Unstable Angina Case Study
Current Treatment and Consideration of Evidence Base: Upon admission, patient was most likely
suspected of having ACS (acute coronary syndrome) because of CHD (coronary heart disease) (NICE,
2014c). Troponin T High Sensitivity Test was carried out to distinguish whether chest pains were
because of NSTEMI or unstable angina (NICE, 2014b). This led to diagnosis of unstable angina. His
current treatment with regards to drug interactions is okay, except that enoxaparin has a clinically
significant interaction with aspirin (2015, p. 1199). This can be discounted for due to his condition.
Patient has a CVD (cardiovascular disease); can be exacerbated by having high cholesterol (could be
the cause of his angina). Therefore, atorvastatin 80 mg was initiated for secondary prevention of CV ...

Essay on What Factors Affect Voter Turnout and Election...
Voter turnout, as well as election results, depend upon and are effected by several different factors.
Everything from family status to beliefs about abortion can determine how a person will vote. In my
presentation, however, I focused on three aspects that effect voter turnout and elections. I found, in my
research, that a voter s age, sex and party identification greatly factor into how a person will cast his or
her vote.
Men and women differ greatly in many aspects of life, and voting is one of them. In the 1992
Presidential elections, women were found by the U.S. Census Current Population Reports to have
voted two percent more than men did. Of the 62% of women who did vote, more were found to have
supported Bill Clinton rather ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
this low voting rate was attributed to a general lack of feeling of responsibility. As young adults age,
marry, and become parents, their sense of community and responsibility increases, while their apathy
toward voting decreases, (Abramson 116). Another reason for low voter turnout numbers for 18 to 24
year olds is their generally low levels of party loyalties. Not having strong party ties decreases one s
incentive to vote.
Registration and voting organizations such as MTV s Rock the Vote have been accredited with
increasing young Americans voter turnout numbers. Rock the Vote s primary focus, since its founding
in 1990, has been increasing voter registration within the nation s youngest age group. The
organization frequently hosts Get Out the Vote drives on college campuses and on concert tours in
order to reach young people. since its beginning, support for Rock the Vote has been massive, and in
1992 it was recognized for influencing more than one million young voters to participate in electing
their President.
Voter turnout for other age groups also increased in 1992, but those numbers were not considered to
be a significant rise because age groups with citizens over 45 years old already have generally high
turnout. According to the U.S. Census Current Population Reports, the 45 to 64 years old age group
was reported to have 75.3% of registered voters actually voting, while those in the 65 years or older

Network, Virtual Local Area Networks ( Vlans )
In the past, companies were hampered by the cost, performance, and security issues that are associated
with local area networks or LANs. LANs must be connected physically to switches which means that
each LAN must have its own switch (prtl.uhcl.edu, 2016, para. 13). The virtualized version of the
LANs, virtual local area networks (VLANs), allows users to invest in only one switch (prtl.uhcl.edu,
2016, para. 13). The VLAN is used in a virtual data center environment to separate a single LAN into
more than one network while being physically connected to only one switch. One advantage of
VLANs is that network administrators can now sort devices by whatever criteria they require without
physical location being an issue. Different VLANs can be set for different groups or departments
within the same LAN. Performance is improved because, when the LAN is broken up into VLANs, it
is not receiving broadcasts from all of the devices (certbros.com, 2015, para. 4). Cost is decreased
because separate physical switches are not required for VLANs. A security benefit is provided because
VLANs can be configured to accommodate the different security levels needed, and the administrator
can choose whether or not to allow the VLANs to communicate with each other (certbros.com, 2015,
para. 6). VRFs Virtualization is also used in the data center to acquire more routing instances without
acquiring more hardware (Santana, 2014. P. 90). This technology is known as Virtual Routing and

Romanticism And Symbolism In William Wordsworth s Poetry
William Wordsworth thrived in the early 1800 s with his poems rich in meaning. This is partly because
he was a Romantic poet, the most popular form in poetry in Europe during the time. Wordsworth
created many masterpieces including The Prelude, I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud, and Ode:
Intimations of Immortality. Wordsworth experienced many tragedies throughout his life such as the
death of his mother and father before the age of thirteen, and the death of his two children that
inspired and molded his poems. Wordsworth utilizes nature as a common motif, as evidenced through
his Romantic style, to express his ambivalent feelings for society because of humanity s missing
connection with nature; however, nature continues to give Wordsworth hope. Nearly all Wordworth s
poems have the motif of nature. For example, in I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud Wordsworth uses vivid
imagery and personification to describe nature throughout the poem. In the first stanza Wordsworth
states, A host, of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the
breeze (Wordsworth 4 6). He uses nature to express his message. Wordsworth uses nature in nearly all
his poems, mainly because he is a Romantic writer. In Lines Composed a Few Miles Above Tintern
Abbey, Wordsworth says, Do I behold these steep and lofty cliffs, That on a wild secluded scene
impress (Wordsworth 4 5). This poem is primarily about a specific place and the description of it,
including the nature

Analysis Of Ibsen s Hedda Gabler

Assignment #3 Question 1
Since the beginning of time there have always been a particular set of societal and gender roles for
men and women. Some were very openly known and others were known without even being said. The
story of Hedda Gabler by Ibsen Henrick tells the story of what seems to be a disturbed woman and her
manipulative charades that ultimately lead to her suicide. As one may say Hedda deserved her fate
others may sympathize with Hedda and understand the pressures that were being placed upon her from
society. During the Victorian period gender roles were strictly enforced and women had a certain place
in society and that was it. Ibsen Henrick understood this and painted a vivid picture of the everyday
life for women during the time and how lonesome, unfulfilling, and (INSERT WORD) it could have
been for some. Granted not all women felt this way because they were so consumed by the society and
tradition they merely followed suit, but there were women who began to feel the need to want more
out of life and to be empowered and have control over their own destiny and Hedda Gabbler was one
of those women. I don t believe Hedda was just a disturbed and vindictive woman. I believe Hedda
was a victim of societal pressure and her own circumstances and they drove her to do things she
would not normally do if she was happy in her own home and in a more free and comfortable place in
life.
The Victorian time period was

Ethnic Stereotypes Essay
Asians can t drive. All Black men walking down dark streets are muggers. All Hispanics are
undocumented. Guys are messy and unclean. Women aren t as a smart as men. Our society has
garnered a generalized model of how people of a certain race, ethnicity, or gender behave, and they
are often based on prejudices and erroneous patterns that describe a small niche within the targeted
group of people. Stereotypes alienate people from either their race or gender and instigate
misidentification. I ve been generalized under the assumption that I am a soccer loving, spicy taco
eating macho, and these stereotypes differ significantly from my actual ethnic background, the
environment I grew up in, and my personality. Stereotypes have made me feel like ... Show more

How can you not tolerate spicy foods? One major generalization under the umbrella of ethnic
stereotypes is that all people of Hispanic descent were domesticated from birth to tolerant spicy foods.
Although, foods engulfed in paprika and hot chili peppers are mostly found in Central American
cultures, more specifically in Mexico. When my family moved to the United States, we were exposed
to the amalgam of cultures that compile Rockville. Diversity was scarce in Venezuela, and this ethnic
diversity introduced us to cultures outside of our limited scope. Within the first few months, my
parents were introduced to a family who I distinctly remember kept close ties to their Mexican culture.
I was amazed at the high tolerance the kids my age or younger had for chili peppers. A couple of them
sat cross legged on the floor sucking on their chili lollipops, while others palmed the bottoms of
Tabasco bottles onto their scrambled eggs. All Hispanic people must love spicy foods is a stereotype
that misidentifies people of Latin American descent. This fallacy is under the erroneous assumption
that all Spanish speaking cultures enjoy the unforgiving, tongue biting, and stomach eating spices that
are the backbone to the Mexican cuisine. This stereotype has singled me out my ethnic background
and paired me with a different cultural background I am socially expected to belong

Analysis Of Fun Home By Alison Bechdel
Analytical Essay on Fun Home By: Alison Bechdel Even though a lot of thing events that happened to
Bechdel was sad, dark, or scary she manages to use a very witty tone throughout the story reflecting
on her personality. She believes dark events are not central to one s life. She uses this tone as oppose
to an angry tone because she never realized her family was any different until she was compared it to
others. This strongly classifies Bechdel in the optimistic category of personalities. The tone of this
novel can strike many people as hard to determine or understand. One of the best things about this
novel is the consistency that Bechdel creates from her earliest childhood memories all the way until
the ending of the book. Tone is known to illustrate the underlying feelings of the author. What is also
very striking is Bechdel s lack of emotion when any surprising event happens to her. What most tend
to remember is when Mr. Bechdel s death is announced to Bechdel and how she responds to the news.
Speaking normally, or what most would refer to as normal is to have some kind of emotional
breakthrough when finding out their loved one has passed in a tragic accident. Is he dead? (Bechdel
81). In these three words Bechdel demonstrates her inability to fit into the mere normal category of
reactions and blows the audience away. Bechdel explains how she cried for about two minutes to her
girlfriend at the time and that was the most of mourning she did at all. Using the witty

I Am A Second Grade English Language Arts Teacher
In my five years of being a third grade English Language Arts teacher, the implementation of guided
reading has been my biggest struggle. My school has fully adopted the guided reading program within
the past 2 years. A guided reading library and books for professional development have been
purchased, but very little training has occurred. The journey of learning how to successfully teach
Reading using Jan Richardson s approach to guided reading has been a challenge to say the least.
Scheduling has been the largest obstacle I have faced in implementing guided reading in my
classroom. I have spent this summer researching and reading about guided reading in an attempt to
gain further understanding of the process and the outcomes before the next school year begins. Guided
reading is a method of teaching reading that be used with every reader, whether they are just
beginning to read, struggling to read, or are able to read independently (Iaquinta, 2006). According to
Anita Iaquinta, there are three fundamental purposes for using guided reading. The first fundamental
purpose is to meet all of the ranges of instructional needs of every student in the classroom. The
second fundamental purpose for guided reading is that it enables students to significantly build and
expand their reading abilities. The final fundamental purpose of guided reading is for students to learn
how to read increasingly difficult texts (Iaquinta, 2006). Guided reading lessons are completed in
small groups

Annotated Bibliography On The Midwifery
Midwifery in rural Ghana Across the enormous continent of Africa, there are a myriad of birth
practices, customs, and traditions. From spiritual ceremonies, consumption of certain fruits, blessing
ways to having supportive birthing assistants are some of the very common and important customs
from African countries, especially Ghana. One of the oldest and most widely recognized customs is
midwifery. Midwifery is the act of assisting women and their families before, during, and after
childbirth. Moreover, some midwives also perform abortions and aid in post abortion care
(Otsea et al., 1997). Midwifery includes aiding expectant mothers in labor, food preparation for their
families while the mother is recovering from labor, breastfeeding, emotional support for new parents,
postpartum care and child care. Midwives are also called traditional birth assistants or TBAs (Nicholas
et al., 1976). Midwifery has been practiced for hundreds of years in Africa, especially Ghana. As a
result of moderate technology improvements and medical advancements, midwifery is not commonly
practiced in more developed countries in Africa. Everyone in Ghana do not engage in midwifery.
However, in communal and small villages in rural parts of Ghana midwifery is a well known and
revered custom. In most northern rural areas of Ghana, midwifery is preferred over modern birth
practices. In the rural parts of Ghana, midwives are loved and admired in their villages. Midwives are

Tetrahydrocannabinol Essay
Marijuana s active ingredient is tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) it contains a chemical compound called
cannabinoids which are naturally found in the human anatomy. THC affects the central nervous
system by binding to cannabinoid receptors that are present in the brain which triggers a euphoric
response. The active ingredient in marijuana is quickly absorbed by the blood and has an immediate
effect on the brain and other drugs. The drug comes from the hemp plant Cannabis sativa and it s the
seeds and leaves that are used and also the flowers are usually dried. (Above the Influence, 2015)
THC resembles a neurotransmitter anandamide and mimics its actions. When THC binds to
cannabinoid receptors it removes the refractory period in neurons. Refractory period is when excitable
cells are not able to respond to stimuli as the cell needs to recover after firing an action potentials. The
refractory period also ensures that the action potential are transmitted in one direction. When THC
binds to cannabinoids receptors it prevents the refractory period from occurring which results in action
potentials constantly being fired and this causes thoughts, thinking and imagination to amplify.
Another effect that occurs is that an individual is unable to retain memories. (Intheknowzone.com,
2015)
The behavioural changes that occurs when a person takes marijuana is that it impairs judgment and
reasoning skills for example individuals that take marijuana on a regular basis and these individuals

A Primitive Civilization In A Failed Utopia
Symbolism can be used to represent many aspects of a person place or thing. Throughout the novel the
boys lose all symbols that represent there civilization such as there clothes and uniforms. In this novel
symbolism is used to show how the boys change their outlook on their primitive society and rules.
They are used in the novel Lord of the Flies to show the deterioration and destruction of the boys
society and rules. The conch, the glasses and the masks all have a greater meaning in the novel.

At the beginning of the novel the conch represents law and order. As the boys split apart the conch
becomes less important and is eventually destroyed. After all this happens Ralph s small tribe is also
destroyed. The conch is used to represent law, order and society in the same way that Piggy s glasses
are used.
The glasses represent logic, order and hope. Piggy defends the glasses more than the conch because he
believes logic is more important than order. Then, with the martyred expression of a parent who has to
keep up with the senseless ebullience of the children, he [Piggy] picked up the conch, turned toward
the forest, and began to pick his way over the tumbled scar. (p38, narrator). This shows how piggy
thinks of things first. Without logic there would be no order. The glasses are a sign of hope for the
boys. They use the glasses for fire, there rescue signal, to cook there food and for light to protect them
from the beastie at night. his specs, use them as burning glasses! (P40, Jack). They all work together
in the beginning but the boys slowly lose interest in the fire as different things start to become for
important such as hunting and playing. They let the bloody fire out... ( p71, Ralph). Ralph says this
after the ship, their only hope for rescue goes unseen. Only a few boys remain loyal. The glasses
symbolize logic but the masks the boys wear create an excuse not to be logical and civilized.

Descriptive Essay On The Road
It all started at my house, my safe place, if you will. I see my dog, she is excited for the ride. We are
about to start our journey, but we need to pack our bags. I am packing and my eyes are drooping
because it is early in the morning. I finally get done and we put our stuff in the car. I get in and I hear
the engine turning and then a constant buzzing sound, the car is on. 3....2....1.... We start our journey as
we unite rubber to the cement. I roll down the window and take a deep breath of fresh air. In the air I
smell an absolutely disgusting stench. It is a pig farm to the west of us. I roll my window up to avoid
the bad smell. We are on our way to Arizona and I see a sign telling me that we are at the border of
Nebraska. The sign says, Nebraska ... the good life, and there is a picture of a mountain and a red sun
behind it. I roll down my window, knowing that we are out of the smelly state of Iowa, and breath in
fresh air again. I see a boring place, but it is night so that might be why it looks dead. When we got to
the motel to stay over night, I heard a squeal. The noise was made by two cars who had raced down
the road. We hustled into the motel for we did not know the neighborhood or anyone in Nebraska. I
am tired because I can t sleep very much in the car. So I set all of my stuff down and flop in my bed to
fall into a deep sleep. I dreamt of being in the warm arms of Arizona. My dream was very comforting
of course, but it had to end sometime. We woke up still tired, so we went and had breakfast. The motel
did not offer much, but it was good enough for now. We get back on the constructed pavement and
head straight towards Arizona. I was not looking forward to this ride, but we had to get it over with.
Nebraska is a long and boring state, I thought I would never leave the place. After waiting for what
felt like a decade, we got to Colorado. After a while, it felt like there was popcorn popping in my ear.
Then I realized it was because we were heading up hills. This was because we were heading towards
the mountains. The mountains were white on the top and what seemed like a very dark blue. Colorado
was colder than the other states, and we did stuff like horseback riding in the mountains and ziplining.

What Are The Effects Of The Cold War In The 1940s
At the heart of the rivalry between the United States and the Soviet Union in the 1940s was a
fundamental difference in the ways the great powers envisioned the postwar world. After World War II
countries were in chaos, no one was able to agree on what should happen to the postwar world. While
the Soviet Union and the United States were allies during the world wars, they were the one with the
biggest issues during the aftermath of the war and their issues ended up becoming what we now know
as the Cold War. Many issues led up to this war and to this day we still suffer from the war and the
American people still fear communism.
To begin with, both the United States and the Soviet Union had their own beliefs about what would
benefit our world during the postwar period. After World War II, both Russia and the United States
competed to be the greatest world power, When two sides competed for influence and power in this
way, the Cold War began. The United States and the Soviet Union were both great world powers who

There is always a picture or a visual concept that is incredibly appealing to the twelve year old inside
everyone, whether it is a car, a sports figure, or a memorable location. To many people, cars are this
visual concept; a glowing poster of a wild Lamborghini or a Ferrari F40, just driving the imagination

dependent upon the industry, and the quickly exhausting nonrenewable resource is problem. Now that
the end of this staple resource is imminent, it must be conserved, a problem for cars like the

to the Ford quickly followed, like the AC Cobra 427, also known as the Shelby Cobra was launched in
1965. Then in 1966 the Ferrari 275GTB, the Stingray Corvette, the Jensen FF, but most famous of all,

Gender Socialization And Gender Expectations In Children
Imagine a five year old girl, her birthday is a few weeks away and her mom is questioning her about
toys she would like to have. She tells her mom she wants a race track and the newest Hot Wheels set.
Her mother is quick discourage this request and suggests asking for something more girly because
race cars are for boys. The little girl is disappointed but abides by her mother s request and instead
asks for a new doll house. In our current culture, there is a huge difference between what is considered
to be for girls or boys. From birth, children are told what colors and styles of clothing they wear, what
toys they should play with, and emotions they should feel. Often, girls are told they cannot play with
toys considered to be for boys and boys are told they are not allowed to play with toys considered to
be for girls. Children who do decide they want to play with the toys not traditionally for their gender
are often scolded by family members, pushing the children back to their gender specific toys. In early
childhood the decisions that determine who a child is to be are made by their parents or guardians.
Gender socialization starts at birth and continues from adolescence, to adulthood, causing specific and
detrimental differences in the way the genders behave. Before one can dissect gender socialization and
gender role expectations in children, they must understand what they are. According to the United
Nations International Children s Emergency Fund (UNICEF),

was an American painter and was very highly commended African American artist of the 20 century.
What he is best known for is his Migration Series. He was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey on
September 7, 1917. When he was the age of two his mother deposited him and his two younger
siblings in foster care in Philadelphia after his parents divorced. When he was thirteen he went to work
in New York City and there he went to join his mother. He also spent fifteen years teaching as a
professor at the University of Washington. Lawrence was also widely known for producing narrative
collections such as the Migration Series and War Series. Shortly after Lawrence had arrived there, he
was introduced to art when his mother had enrolled him in Utopia Children s Center, which then had
an after school art program. At the age of 16 he dropped out of school and took classes at the Harlem
Art Workshop where it was taught by Charles Ashton and he very often visited the Metropolitan
Museum of Art. In 1937, he won a scholarship to the American Artist School in New York. When he
graduated in 1939 he had received funding from the Works Progress Administration Federal Art
Project. By that time, he had already established his own type of modernism and that is then when he
began to create his narrative series; where he would paint about 30 paintings or more for that one
subject. In 1941, he had

History of Fracking Hydraulic fracturing or fracking is a process that fractures rock formations in the
earth s surface in order to release hydrocarbons. When these hydrocarbons are released, they flow
more freely through the rocks and up to the wellbore, were oil and gas are extracted to (Suchy, 2012).
Not all rock formations require a hydraulic fracturing operation to be done because the fluids move
freely through rocks that have been naturally fractured. Shale gas reservoirs on the other hand are not
permeable and have very few natural fractures; therefore the trapped gas and oil must be extracted by
fracking only. Some of the earliest fracking techniques can be traced back as early as the 1860 s
(Carlson, 2011). These early techniques, used primarily in oil wells, used liquid nitroglycerin as a
stimulant to break up shallow, hard rock wells that were located Pennsylvania, New York, Kentucky,
and West Virginia. The use of nitroglycerin was extremely hazardous and often deemed illegal in
many states; however, this shooting process was very successful. Shooting is a term used for injecting
the nitroglycerin into the well to produce rubbished rock to increase both initial flow and the recovery
of oil (Montgomery, 2010). Because of the success on oil wells, the similar principles were applied to
gas and water wells. In the 1930 s well engineers began to look for something that was not

Community Volunteering
I have made a difference in my community by volunteering for many organizations. To start, I have
participated in the Lisbon Community Band and provided musical entertainment for the community to
enjoy free of charge. Each year, my town band has a winter and summer concert. These concerts
include a new set of songs for the community to hear. Music relaxes the mind and is believed to have
certain healing properties. I have been in my town s community band for eight years now and I plan to
be a member for as long as I can. The community band is a valuable and necessary aspect of my
community. I also have participated in my town s Boy Scout Troop in the past, helping out individuals

These were beneficial to not just the community, but to anyone who was set to receive blood
transfusions for medical reasons. As a Boy Scout, we also aided other organizations, such as the
Lisbon Historical Society. Furthermore, my troop assisted in running events, such as my town s fall
festival. My community extends to other parts of the state, as I have volunteered for organizations in
nearby towns. One such organization that I volunteer at is the Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in
New London. I volunteer in the summers in the Lawrence and Memorial Lobby shop gift shop. I feel I
am able to make a difference in the life of those who come into the gift shop. Specifically, I attempt to
bring smiles to the faces of the customers and make their experience in the gift shop enjoyable.
Another organization I volunteer for is the Slater Library in Jewett City. One summer I developed a
reading and science experiment program that lasted for many weeks and motivated children to read, as
well as become interested in the sciences. Through the creation of this program, I have observed
children having a great time performing these science experiments while being motivated to read
challenging books. Overall, I believe I have made a significant impact on my community and I will

Swimming Shoulder Pain
Overall, swimming shoulder pain is rampant within the sport. A recent study by Sein (2010) reports

Ineffective Strengthening Programs: As I wrote in the intro, ineffective strengthening programs are too
common in the world of swimming. Moreover, poor exercise execution is as common as kickboards
on deck. When performing shoulder strengthening you should feel it in the shoulders, not the low
back, or any other area! Also, we know eccentric muscular contractions create more force, so why are
swimmers rushing through this phase during rotator cuff movements? Ensure slowness during any
rotator cuff exercise for reducing swimming shoulder pain.
4. Neglecting the Role of the Rotator Cuff Muscle: One primary role of the rotator cuff is stabilization
of the humuerus (upper shoulder bone) into the glenoid (the shoulder blade). If these muscles are
fatigued or not strong in this role, excessive motion occurs at the joint, increasing the stress at the
joint. Make sure to strengthen your rotator cuff with stabilization exercises.
5. Roator Cuff Damage Will Occur in Swimming: This may sound confusing, but rotator cuff damage
will occur if you are an elite swimmer. Millions and millions of strokes increase shoulder stress and
create damage at these muscles. If you are a competitive swimmer, this happens. To my next

Inflection Or Difference In President Nixon s Vocal
Inflection or difference in President Nixon s vocal Inflection refers to the alteration occurring in a
speech which often results to doubts in the mind of a reader or listener. In the case of President Nixon,
the 37th president of America there is a lot of suspicion about his character and leadership when one
does review the tapes. A good example is when he clearly stated in public that he was not a crook as
the Water scandal was revealed. The Watergate scandal the president was clearly portrayed as the
leading actor based on an intensive listening of the tapes. It tended to place doubts in his character
(The Smoking Gun Tape, 2016). Another example is when we review his speech on March 1973 the
president when giving his speech managed to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the Hiss case, the president had a different personal reason for the country to engage in the war, in
the eyes of the public the president gave various reasons to ensure that the war went on. The reason
provided by him was that they needed to control Malacca straits the main trade route in the Southeast
Asian and link it with the rest of Pacific region (Nichter, 2015). Critic analysis of these tapes shows
the sound infection element was used to cover up different situation during the leadership of Nixon.
Surprising situation in the assignment When listening to the tapes, it is amazing how President Nixon
ascended to power. The president seemed to be suffering from split personality disorder where he had
a different façade in public that portrayed him as an intelligent and conservative leader. In the confines
of his office, the president was often heard plotting ways to cover up a number of scandals. One
surprising cover up is the 181/2 minute gap that occurred when one of the tapes was being transcribed.
The president denied knowledge of the situation but based on the analysis of the tapes he seems to
have had a hand in this cover up too.

What Are Gender Roles In Alice Munro s Axis
Alice Munro is an eminent Canadian essayist who has devoted her life to generating fiction, short
stories that deal with recurrent events among today s society. She is best known for being awarded a
Nobel Prize in Literature, the most prestigious award for a writer, in 2013. One of her popular short
stories titled, Axis, centers around the lives of two close, intelligent, University friends and the
progression of their lives. Although it seemed that both girls had a lot of good going for them, it
appears that the main goal for attending the university was to find man whom they could marry and
provide for them. Avie resorts to marriage with Hugo, a man whom she had yet to find love for, and
capitulated her studies to become a housewife. Grace, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One day during the summer, Grace invites her boyfriend Royce to her family s farm. They spend time
together and plan to have sex together for the first time. The narrator describes the roles of each
member of the family during a particular day and it clearly distinguishes the roles of the men from the
women. The role of Grace and her boyfriend one of the days was to make strawberry jam, but soon
after they changed. On the day that Grace and Royce had planned to have sex, the mother had to take
the children to a doctor s appointment, the father and brother, were going to work one of the the other
lands that they had across the highway and Royce was in charge of slightly remodeling the tall brick
house (Munro 10). The men were in charge of all the physical labor while the mother was in charge of
running errands with the children. In fact, the story also states that the father and brother relied on the
women who rented out the property to give them water. This exemplifies, the social norms the are
placed among both men and women. Within societies perspective, men are the breadwinners and the
ones in charge of handling any tough physical labor. On the other hand, the role of a woman generally
speaking is that of a housewife or a caregiver, sometimes being a schoolteacher. This is why mothers
are viewed as compassionate, understanding and loving. Fathers are supposed to be tough

Elizabeth Bennet Satire
In the 1800s, Jane Austen, who is an accomplished author wrote the satirical novel Pride and
Prejudice. One of the main character,Elizabeth Bennet, is a 20 year old girl who has five unmarried
sisters, a crazy mother and a very unique look on marriage.During this novel, two of Elizabeth s
sisters: Lydia and Jane get married after they both faced an abundance of drama, which makes their
eager mother every happy. After an awkward proposal, Elizabeth finds an extremely wealthy man, Mr.
Darcy, who she shows hatred for, but then falls in love with him in the end. In Pride and Prejudice,

Bennet is a anxious, senseless, and woman, who is the mother of Elizabeth and her four sisters. While
Mrs. Bennet has five unmarried daughters, she tries to arrange a marriage between Charles Bingley
and her eldest daughter Jane. Mrs. Bennet is so foolish that she would put her daughters at risk just for
the chance of a proposal, ...if she should die, it would be a comfort to know that it was all in pursuit if
Mr. Bingley, and under your orders. (30) Elizabeth makes this remark to expose Mrs. Bennet s priority
of marriage which comes before anything in her eyes. Mrs. Bennet is a greedy woman who will use
anything as a weapon to tempt men, even her daughter Jane s illness, She will be taken very good care
of. As long as she stays there , it is all very well. (30) Austen exposes the flaws of Mrs. Bennet, to
display a mother s view of marriage, which was a woman should marry for money and social status
not for happiness. Another character that illustrates satirical elements in Pride and Prejudice is Lydia
Bennet due to her over the top personality a lot of comic relief is given to the reader and shows her
views on marriage in comparison to every else . Lydia shows no common sense and liability when she

depending on the agreed upon contract between Clarus and the client. Some clients get a full report,
survey analysis, and implementation assistance if a strategic plan was developed. Some clients prefer
simpler results and receive notes from their meeting with Clarus. Strong communication is imperative
in the consulting process, so clients are always provided with a high level of debriefing of what was

New Strands Of Goods And Services From Brand Name Companies
Crooks gain large lump sums of goods and services from brand name companies that are more likely
to use celebrities to advertise for them. Imitators hit big well known companies because they would be
willfully giving, if they think that a famous person would want to advertise their brand. So they profit
on asking brand name companies for merchandise. Sharks prosper massive amounts of goods and
services through targeting a familiarized company. Scammers accumulate goods and services from top
notch companies since they are more likely to believe that celebrity would ask for it. Pretenders attain
expensive goods and services by relaying to a widely known company that a famous celebrity is
interested in testing or trying the item out. Thus, con artist go for big because companies believe that
those celebrities would want to have that brand in their possession. With today s new strands of
technology it is very difficult for companies to depict if that celebrity wanted their products, goods or
services.
There are many ways such as computers, telephones or even mail that can be sent out from and to any
company. To state it differently brand name companies do not pay attention to where or even if that
celebrity asked for merchandise or service. All they care about is the name of the celebrity who asked
for it. Obviously merchants disregard all other things when it comes down to getting a celebrity to
advertise for them. Brand name companies only think about having their merchandise

A Short Note On The Constellation Of Cancer
Cancer (constellation) ♋
The constellation of Cancer is one of the 88 modern constellations: located between the constellations
Leo, Hydra and Gemini at between 07h 55m 19.7973s and 09h 22m 35.0364s right ascension and
33.1415138° and 6.4700689° declination. It is also one of the 12 Zodiac constellations and one of the
original 48 listed by the ancient Greek astronomer Ptolemy. Its name is Latin for crab and its
astrological symbol is ♋, which represents crab pincers. This constellation attracted my interest
because it contains a galaxy with a binary supermassive black hole system: OJ 287. The constellation
of Cancer as it can be seen in the sky.
In the mythology of The Twelve Labours of Heracles (or Hercules in Roman mythology) Cancer is a
crab sent by Hera to hinder Heracles in his fight against Hydra. Depending on the version of the story
Heracles either kicks Cancer so hard that the crab is stuck amongst the constellations, or he just
crushes Cancer by stomping on it and Hera places it in the sky for its bravery, but not in a bright part
of the sky because it did not complete its task (Cancer has only two stars brighter than the 4th
magnitude). Magnitude levels are levels of brightness, with lower numbered levels being brighter than
higher number levels (e.g. a magnitude level 1 is brighter than a magnitude 2). Some sources say that
cancer was a late addition to the story and that it was only included to make the 12 zodiac signs
coincide with the 12 Labours. A pot

Gender Binary Norms
As far as the technology determined gender difference is concerned, it is necessary to discuss how
bodies can be affected by the violence of technologies and knowledge. Drugs and technologies
participate in the materialisation of the binary sex. It is indubitable that the gender binary norm is
insufficient. The existence of intersexuality is an evidence that disrupts the heteronormative concept of
gender. For instance, 1 in 100 babies born with an anomaly of sex. and 1 in 1000 not readily
classifiable. (Chase, C. 1998) To a certain extent, sex can be reallocated through medication. Thus,
following the heteronormative rule, intersexuality as neither men nor women that against the social
norm, which ought to be adjusted through medical management.

How Does Heathcliff Change Throughout The Novel
It is 1801; Mr. Lockwood has come to Wuthering Heights from Thrushcross Grange to visit his
landlord and neighbor, Mr. Heathcliff. Lockwood finds the country quiet and remote, and a place for
men such as himself and Mr. Heathcliff, who hate the company of others. But Mr. Heathcliff is more
extreme, ill informed of all social graces, for example shoving his hands into his pockets to avoid
greeting Lockwood. Mr. Heathcliff not only forms a singular contrast to Wuthering Heights, he also
differentiates from his opulent lifestyle. This passage, from the first chapter is illustrated by Lockwood
s point of view, establishes the first of numerous attempts in the book to explain the shadowy figure of

Workmen s Auto Insurance Company V. Guy Carpenter, Inc.
Are Insurance Brokers Agents Fiduciaries?
Insurers, insureds, and even their attorneys frequently incorrectly assume that insurance agents and
brokers owe fiduciary duties to their insureds. While the law is not completely clear regarding the
applicability of agency principles and their fiduciary duties in this area, legal precedent can offer some
guidance on the issue. Currently, there is no appellate precedent permitting an insured to sue its agent
or broker under a common law action for breach of fiduciary duty. However, the California courts
have yet to be willing to rule that the cause of action based on common law agency principles is
completely inapplicable to brokers and agents.
Demonstrative of the Court s unwillingness to create a bright line rule is the heavily litigated case of
Workmen s Auto Insurance Company v. Guy Carpenter Co., Inc. In 2011, the Court of Appeal in
Workmen s answered the question regarding fiduciary duties of brokers and agents definitively in the
negative, ruling that an insurance broker cannot be sued for breach of fiduciary duty. The ruling finally
provided the guidance and rule necessary to put the issue to rest. However, the relief was short lived
when in 2012, after a rehearing that affirmed the Court s ruling, the opinion was vacated and
depublished, again leaving the law in this area without ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Improvements on the Evaluation Scope of Evaluation I would continue to use a mixed method
approach in the evaluation of the summer programs. However, I would first address the survey and
interview questions, and how the observation process occurred. Before doing anything else I would
attempt to make sure that these questions being evaluated were being asked in a manner suited to the
age appropriateness of the participants. This may entail that several different versions of the surveys to
exist. I would also ensure that the number of questions each survey contained was limited in hopes to
increase accuracy and completion due to the limited amount of time needed for completion. In the
questions asked, I would make sure to ask how the summer program impacted the participants.
Additionally, I would also survey the parents of the participants to get a take on what their perceptions
of the summer program were. Criterion Following revamping the scope of the evaluation a criterion in
which the data will be compared would be established. The established criterion would be presented in
the evaluation in length. The current evaluation seems to arbitrarily make a judgment of the worth of
the program, and there were no references to the criterion process used.

  • 5. Essay on What Factors Affect Voter Turnout and Election... Voter turnout, as well as election results, depend upon and are effected by several different factors. Everything from family status to beliefs about abortion can determine how a person will vote. In my presentation, however, I focused on three aspects that effect voter turnout and elections. I found, in my research, that a voter s age, sex and party identification greatly factor into how a person will cast his or her vote. Men and women differ greatly in many aspects of life, and voting is one of them. In the 1992 Presidential elections, women were found by the U.S. Census Current Population Reports to have voted two percent more than men did. Of the 62% of women who did vote, more were found to have supported Bill Clinton rather ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... this low voting rate was attributed to a general lack of feeling of responsibility. As young adults age, marry, and become parents, their sense of community and responsibility increases, while their apathy toward voting decreases, (Abramson 116). Another reason for low voter turnout numbers for 18 to 24 year olds is their generally low levels of party loyalties. Not having strong party ties decreases one s incentive to vote. Registration and voting organizations such as MTV s Rock the Vote have been accredited with increasing young Americans voter turnout numbers. Rock the Vote s primary focus, since its founding in 1990, has been increasing voter registration within the nation s youngest age group. The organization frequently hosts Get Out the Vote drives on college campuses and on concert tours in order to reach young people. since its beginning, support for Rock the Vote has been massive, and in 1992 it was recognized for influencing more than one million young voters to participate in electing their President. Voter turnout for other age groups also increased in 1992, but those numbers were not considered to be a significant rise because age groups with citizens over 45 years old already have generally high turnout. According to the U.S. Census Current Population Reports, the 45 to 64 years old age group was reported to have 75.3% of registered voters actually voting, while those in the 65 years or older category ... • 6. Network, Virtual Local Area Networks ( Vlans ) In the past, companies were hampered by the cost, performance, and security issues that are associated with local area networks or LANs. LANs must be connected physically to switches which means that each LAN must have its own switch (prtl.uhcl.edu, 2016, para. 13). The virtualized version of the LANs, virtual local area networks (VLANs), allows users to invest in only one switch (prtl.uhcl.edu, 2016, para. 13). The VLAN is used in a virtual data center environment to separate a single LAN into more than one network while being physically connected to only one switch. One advantage of VLANs is that network administrators can now sort devices by whatever criteria they require without physical location being an issue. Different VLANs can be set for different groups or departments within the same LAN. Performance is improved because, when the LAN is broken up into VLANs, it is not receiving broadcasts from all of the devices (certbros.com, 2015, para. 4). Cost is decreased because separate physical switches are not required for VLANs. A security benefit is provided because VLANs can be configured to accommodate the different security levels needed, and the administrator can choose whether or not to allow the VLANs to communicate with each other (certbros.com, 2015, para. 6). VRFs Virtualization is also used in the data center to acquire more routing instances without acquiring more hardware (Santana, 2014. P. 90). This technology is known as Virtual Routing and ... • 7. Romanticism And Symbolism In William Wordsworth s Poetry William Wordsworth thrived in the early 1800 s with his poems rich in meaning. This is partly because he was a Romantic poet, the most popular form in poetry in Europe during the time. Wordsworth created many masterpieces including The Prelude, I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud, and Ode: Intimations of Immortality. Wordsworth experienced many tragedies throughout his life such as the death of his mother and father before the age of thirteen, and the death of his two children that inspired and molded his poems. Wordsworth utilizes nature as a common motif, as evidenced through his Romantic style, to express his ambivalent feelings for society because of humanity s missing connection with nature; however, nature continues to give Wordsworth hope. Nearly all Wordworth s poems have the motif of nature. For example, in I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud Wordsworth uses vivid imagery and personification to describe nature throughout the poem. In the first stanza Wordsworth states, A host, of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze (Wordsworth 4 6). He uses nature to express his message. Wordsworth uses nature in nearly all his poems, mainly because he is a Romantic writer. In Lines Composed a Few Miles Above Tintern Abbey, Wordsworth says, Do I behold these steep and lofty cliffs, That on a wild secluded scene impress (Wordsworth 4 5). This poem is primarily about a specific place and the description of it, including the nature ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Analysis Of Ibsen s Hedda Gabler Alexandria Cruz English 215 Prof. Dalton August 18, 2014 Assignment #3 Question 1 Since the beginning of time there have always been a particular set of societal and gender roles for men and women. Some were very openly known and others were known without even being said. The story of Hedda Gabler by Ibsen Henrick tells the story of what seems to be a disturbed woman and her manipulative charades that ultimately lead to her suicide. As one may say Hedda deserved her fate others may sympathize with Hedda and understand the pressures that were being placed upon her from society. During the Victorian period gender roles were strictly enforced and women had a certain place in society and that was it. Ibsen Henrick understood this and painted a vivid picture of the everyday life for women during the time and how lonesome, unfulfilling, and (INSERT WORD) it could have been for some. Granted not all women felt this way because they were so consumed by the society and tradition they merely followed suit, but there were women who began to feel the need to want more out of life and to be empowered and have control over their own destiny and Hedda Gabbler was one of those women. I don t believe Hedda was just a disturbed and vindictive woman. I believe Hedda was a victim of societal pressure and her own circumstances and they drove her to do things she would not normally do if she was happy in her own home and in a more free and comfortable place in life. The Victorian time period was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Our society has garnered a generalized model of how people of a certain race, ethnicity, or gender behave, and they are often based on prejudices and erroneous patterns that describe a small niche within the targeted group of people. Stereotypes alienate people from either their race or gender and instigate misidentification. One major generalization under the umbrella of ethnic stereotypes is that all people of Hispanic descent were domesticated from birth to tolerant spicy foods. Although, foods engulfed in paprika and hot chili peppers are mostly found in Central American cultures, more specifically in Mexico. When my family moved to the United States, we were exposed to the amalgam of cultures that compile Rockville. Diversity was scarce in Venezuela, and this ethnic diversity introduced us to cultures outside of our limited scope. Within the first few months, my parents were introduced to a family who I distinctly remember kept close ties to their Mexican culture. I was amazed at the high tolerance the kids my age or younger had for chili peppers. A couple of them sat cross legged on the floor sucking on their chili lollipops, while others palmed the bottoms of Tabasco bottles onto their scrambled eggs. All Hispanic people must love spicy foods is a stereotype that misidentifies people of Latin American descent. This fallacy is under the erroneous assumption that all Spanish speaking cultures enjoy the unforgiving, tongue biting, and stomach eating spices that are the backbone to the Mexican cuisine. • 10. Analysis Of Fun Home By Alison Bechdel Analytical Essay on Fun Home By: Alison Bechdel Even though a lot of thing events that happened to Bechdel was sad, dark, or scary she manages to use a very witty tone throughout the story reflecting on her personality. She believes dark events are not central to one s life. She uses this tone as oppose to an angry tone because she never realized her family was any different until she was compared it to others. This strongly classifies Bechdel in the optimistic category of personalities. The tone of this novel can strike many people as hard to determine or understand. One of the best things about this novel is the consistency that Bechdel creates from her earliest childhood memories all the way until the ending of the book. Tone is known to illustrate the underlying feelings of the author. What is also very striking is Bechdel s lack of emotion when any surprising event happens to her. What most tend to remember is when Mr. Bechdel s death is announced to Bechdel and how she responds to the news. Speaking normally, or what most would refer to as normal is to have some kind of emotional breakthrough when finding out their loved one has passed in a tragic accident. Is he dead? (Bechdel 81). In these three words Bechdel demonstrates her inability to fit into the mere normal category of reactions and blows the audience away. Bechdel explains how she cried for about two minutes to her girlfriend at the time and that was the most of mourning she did at all. Using the witty ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

My school has fully adopted the guided reading program within the past 2 years. A guided reading library and books for professional development have been purchased, but very little training has occurred. The journey of learning how to successfully teach Reading using Jan Richardson s approach to guided reading has been a challenge to say the least. Scheduling has been the largest obstacle I have faced in implementing guided reading in my classroom. I have spent this summer researching and reading about guided reading in an attempt to gain further understanding of the process and the outcomes before the next school year begins. Guided reading is a method of teaching reading that be used with every reader, whether they are just beginning to read, struggling to read, or are able to read independently (Iaquinta, 2006). According to Anita Iaquinta, there are three fundamental purposes for using guided reading. The first fundamental purpose is to meet all of the ranges of instructional needs of every student in the classroom. The second fundamental purpose for guided reading is that it enables students to significantly build and expand their reading abilities. The final fundamental purpose of guided reading is for students to learn how to read increasingly difficult texts (Iaquinta, 2006). Guided reading lessons are completed in small groups ... From spiritual ceremonies, consumption of certain fruits, blessing ways to having supportive birthing assistants are some of the very common and important customs from African countries, especially Ghana. One of the oldest and most widely recognized customs is midwifery. Midwifery is the act of assisting women and their families before, during, and after childbirth. Moreover, some midwives also perform abortions and aid in post abortion care (Otsea et al., 1997). Midwifery includes aiding expectant mothers in labor, food preparation for their families while the mother is recovering from labor, breastfeeding, emotional support for new parents, postpartum care and child care. Midwives are also called traditional birth assistants or TBAs (Nicholas et al., 1976). Midwifery has been practiced for hundreds of years in Africa, especially Ghana. As a result of moderate technology improvements and medical advancements, midwifery is not commonly practiced in more developed countries in Africa. Everyone in Ghana do not engage in midwifery. However, in communal and small villages in rural parts of Ghana midwifery is a well known and revered custom. In most northern rural areas of Ghana, midwifery is preferred over modern birth practices. In the rural parts of Ghana, midwives are loved and admired in their villages. • 13. Tetrahydrocannabinol Essay Marijuana s active ingredient is tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) it contains a chemical compound called cannabinoids which are naturally found in the human anatomy. THC affects the central nervous system by binding to cannabinoid receptors that are present in the brain which triggers a euphoric response. The active ingredient in marijuana is quickly absorbed by the blood and has an immediate effect on the brain and other drugs. The drug comes from the hemp plant Cannabis sativa and it s the seeds and leaves that are used and also the flowers are usually dried. (Above the Influence, 2015) THC resembles a neurotransmitter anandamide and mimics its actions. When THC binds to cannabinoid receptors it removes the refractory period in neurons. Refractory period is when excitable cells are not able to respond to stimuli as the cell needs to recover after firing an action potentials. The refractory period also ensures that the action potential are transmitted in one direction. When THC binds to cannabinoids receptors it prevents the refractory period from occurring which results in action potentials constantly being fired and this causes thoughts, thinking and imagination to amplify. Another effect that occurs is that an individual is unable to retain memories. (Intheknowzone.com, 2015) The behavioural changes that occurs when a person takes marijuana is that it impairs judgment and reasoning skills for example individuals that take marijuana on a regular basis and these individuals ... We are about to start our journey, but we need to pack our bags. I am packing and my eyes are drooping because it is early in the morning. I finally get done and we put our stuff in the car. I get in and I hear the engine turning and then a constant buzzing sound, the car is on. 3....2....1.... We start our journey as we unite rubber to the cement. When we got to the motel to stay over night, I heard a squeal. The noise was made by two cars who had raced down the road. We hustled into the motel for we did not know the neighborhood or anyone in Nebraska. I am tired because I can t sleep very much in the car. So I set all of my stuff down and flop in my bed to fall into a deep sleep. I dreamt of being in the warm arms of Arizona. My dream was very comforting of course, but it had to end sometime. We woke up still tired, so we went and had breakfast. The motel did not offer much, but it was good enough for now. We get back on the constructed pavement and head straight towards Arizona. I was not looking forward to this ride, but we had to get it over with. Nebraska is a long and boring state, I thought I would never leave the place. After waiting for what felt like a decade, we got to Colorado. After a while, it felt like there was popcorn popping in my ear. Then I realized it was because we were heading up hills. However, Ferrari is the all time king of this group as Jeremy Clarkson states, I mean the Maclaren [MP4 12C] is absolutely brilliant, but the Ferrari [458] is just a little more special (Clarkson Season 20, Episode 3 ). Clarkson explains just how important the X factor or specialness is to a supercar. This ties right into why people buy supercars. The reason is not just to have a car, but to have a car that is ... • 20. Gender Socialization And Gender Expectations In Children Imagine a five year old girl, her birthday is a few weeks away and her mom is questioning her about toys she would like to have. She tells her mom she wants a race track and the newest Hot Wheels set. Her mother is quick discourage this request and suggests asking for something more girly because race cars are for boys. The little girl is disappointed but abides by her mother s request and instead asks for a new doll house. In our current culture, there is a huge difference between what is considered to be for girls or boys. From birth, children are told what colors and styles of clothing they wear, what toys they should play with, and emotions they should feel. Often, girls are told they cannot play with toys considered to be for boys and boys are told they are not allowed to play with toys considered to be for girls. Children who do decide they want to play with the toys not traditionally for their gender are often scolded by family members, pushing the children back to their gender specific toys. In early childhood the decisions that determine who a child is to be are made by their parents or guardians. Gender socialization starts at birth and continues from adolescence, to adulthood, causing specific and detrimental differences in the way the genders behave. Before one can dissect gender socialization and gender role expectations in children, they must understand what they are. Jacob Lawrence was an American painter and was very highly commended African American artist of the 20 century. What he is best known for is his Migration Series. He was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey on September 7, 1917. When he was the age of two his mother deposited him and his two younger siblings in foster care in Philadelphia after his parents divorced. When he was thirteen he went to work in New York City and there he went to join his mother. He also spent fifteen years teaching as a professor at the University of Washington. Lawrence was also widely known for producing narrative collections such as the Migration Series and War Series. Shortly after Lawrence had arrived there, he was introduced to art when his mother had enrolled him in Utopia Children s Center, which then had an after school art program. At the age of 16 he dropped out of school and took classes at the Harlem Art Workshop where it was taught by Charles Ashton and he very often visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In 1937, he won a scholarship to the American Artist School in New York. When he graduated in 1939 he had received funding from the Works Progress Administration Federal Art Project. By that time, he had already established his own type of modernism and that is then when he began to create his narrative series; where he would paint about 30 paintings or more for that one subject. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... History of Fracking Hydraulic fracturing or fracking is a process that fractures rock formations in the earth s surface in order to release hydrocarbons. When these hydrocarbons are released, they flow more freely through the rocks and up to the wellbore, were oil and gas are extracted to (Suchy, 2012). Not all rock formations require a hydraulic fracturing operation to be done because the fluids move freely through rocks that have been naturally fractured. Shale gas reservoirs on the other hand are not permeable and have very few natural fractures; therefore the trapped gas and oil must be extracted by fracking only. Some of the earliest fracking techniques can be traced back as early as the 1860 s (Carlson, 2011). These early techniques, used primarily in oil wells, used liquid nitroglycerin as a stimulant to break up shallow, hard rock wells that were located Pennsylvania, New York, Kentucky, and West Virginia. The use of nitroglycerin was extremely hazardous and often deemed illegal in many states; however, this shooting process was very successful. Shooting is a term used for injecting the nitroglycerin into the well to produce rubbished rock to increase both initial flow and the recovery of oil (Montgomery, 2010). Because of the success on oil wells, the similar principles were applied to gas and water wells. In the 1930 s well engineers began to look for something that was not ... Moreover, poor exercise execution is as common as kickboards on deck. When performing shoulder strengthening you should feel it in the shoulders, not the low back, or any other area! Also, we know eccentric muscular contractions create more force, so why are swimmers rushing through this phase during rotator cuff movements? Ensure slowness during any rotator cuff exercise for reducing swimming shoulder pain. 4. Neglecting the Role of the Rotator Cuff Muscle: One primary role of the rotator cuff is stabilization of the humuerus (upper shoulder bone) into the glenoid (the shoulder blade). If these muscles are fatigued or not strong in this role, excessive motion occurs at the joint, increasing the stress at the joint. Make sure to strengthen your rotator cuff with stabilization exercises. 5. This exemplifies, the social norms the are placed among both men and women. Within societies perspective, men are the breadwinners and the ones in charge of handling any tough physical labor. New Strands Of Goods And Services From Brand Name Companies Crooks gain large lump sums of goods and services from brand name companies that are more likely to use celebrities to advertise for them. Imitators hit big well known companies because they would be willfully giving, if they think that a famous person would want to advertise their brand. So they profit on asking brand name companies for merchandise. Sharks prosper massive amounts of goods and services through targeting a familiarized company. Scammers accumulate goods and services from top notch companies since they are more likely to believe that celebrity would ask for it. Pretenders attain expensive goods and services by relaying to a widely known company that a famous celebrity is interested in testing or trying the item out. In the mythology of The Twelve Labours of Heracles (or Hercules in Roman mythology) Cancer is a crab sent by Hera to hinder Heracles in his fight against Hydra. Depending on the version of the story Heracles either kicks Cancer so hard that the crab is stuck amongst the constellations, or he just crushes Cancer by stomping on it and Hera places it in the sky for its bravery, but not in a bright part of the sky because it did not complete its task (Cancer has only two stars brighter than the 4th magnitude). Magnitude levels are levels of brightness, with lower numbered levels being brighter than higher number levels (e.g. a magnitude level 1 is brighter than a magnitude 2). Insurers, insureds, and even their attorneys frequently incorrectly assume that insurance agents and brokers owe fiduciary duties to their insureds. While the law is not completely clear regarding the applicability of agency principles and their fiduciary duties in this area, legal precedent can offer some guidance on the issue. Currently, there is no appellate precedent permitting an insured to sue its agent or broker under a common law action for breach of fiduciary duty. However, the California courts have yet to be willing to rule that the cause of action based on common law agency principles is completely inapplicable to brokers and agents. Demonstrative of the Court s unwillingness to create a bright line rule is the heavily litigated case of Workmen s Auto Insurance Company v. Guy Carpenter Co., Inc. In 2011, the Court of Appeal in Workmen s answered the question regarding fiduciary duties of brokers and agents definitively in the negative, ruling that an insurance broker cannot be sued for breach of fiduciary duty.
