throughout the presentation. After, students recieved a distractor task for 15 minutes, and after
given a multiple choice test on the information showed on the slides. The results showed that there
was no significant difference between note taking instructions and the number of correct answers.

their surrounding temperature. In this lab, the dependent variable is the rate of breath per 15
seconds and the independent variable is the temperature in Celsius. Since Carassius auratus auratus
are ectothermic then their metabolic rate must go up as the temperature increase and goes down
when the temperature decrease.
II. Method
The material needed to recreate this lab is one goldfish in a cup big enough for the fish to swim in, a
bowl filled with water, one cup of ice, and one thermometer. Place the cup with the goldfish into
the bowl filled with water. Measure the temperature of the water in the bowl with the
thermometer to find the room temperature and after when you added the ice to cool the water
down. The room temperature should be around 20 degrees Celsius. Wait for 3 minutes for the
goldfish to adjust to the environment. Count the number of breaths of the goldfish per 15
seconds by counting the number of times when the gill cover open and close. Slowly added the
ice to the bowl to cool down the water temperature. Repeat the process for 20 degrees Celsius, 17.5

Greeks is a few of their other achievements. In 550 B.C.E. to 331 B.C.E. the Persian empire went
from India all the way to Europe. Cyrus the Great was one of Persia s kings. The geography
limited trade with other neighboring civilizations. Persia conquered Anatolia for the purpose of the
use of their seaports for trade. Cyrus son created the Persian satrap (governors). After
unsuccessfully invading Greece, due to the rebellions within the civilizations, Persia was
conquered by Alexander the Great. The Assyrian empire spans over modern day Turkey, Syria,
Iraq, and Iran. The rivers Tigris and Euphrates both ran through the Assyrian empire which also
contained rich and fertile land. The spoken languages they used were Akkadian and Assyrian (
Assyrian Neo Aramaic) while writing with cuneiform. The Assyrians participated in the religions

The counseling profession it s self has progressed tremendously over the last century, with the
creation of ethical standards and concerns for multiculturalism. Before 1962, multiculturalism was
not identified as a concern; professional counselors could provide or deny services due to any
diversity. Counselors were stuck in stereotypical thinking and didn t take concern for other s
personal identifications. Wren was the first of many to bring the topic of multiculturalism to the
awareness of professionals. Issues and concerns continued to be identified over the years, causing
changes in the way professionals handled cultural diverse issues. In 1992, Multicultural
competencies and standards were published to assist professionals in working with people of
difference. Multiculturalism also is written in the ACA code of Ethics, taking into account
differences in language, socioeconomic status, gender, sexual orientation, physical abilities, race,
culture, and ethnicity. Even aft the century of modifications of the counseling profession, there
continues to be new issues and concerns that will need to be addressed to continue improving the
lives of our society.
The main issues to remember when it comes to multicultural counseling is that everyone should be
