Abercrombie And Fitch Case Analysis
Introduction
According to Keyton, organizational culture is the set of artifacts, values, and assumptions that
emerges from the interactions of organizational members (Keyton, 2014, p. 550). Over the past few
years, past and potential employees of the clothing brand Abercrombie Fitch (A F) have taken to the
media to explain the negative organizational culture that exists within the company. The
management values and company policies that create this image obsessed culture have led to
multiple human rights lawsuits, which has damaged the reputation of Abercrombie Fitch globally
(Benson, 2013).
Statement of the Problem
Abercrombie Fitch s corporate leaders have designed policies to mandate personal appearance,

Jefferies was successful in his pursuit and as a result, his exclusionary sentiment permeated the
workplace culture of the organization at every level; from the sprawling 300 acre headquarters
in the woods of Ohio to each individual retail outlet. At the heart of this culture was the Looks
Policy , an unforgiving guide to how employees should present themselves at work. This policy
governed every aspect of an employee s appearance from the number of times they rolled the
cuffs of their jeans to the tone of their skin, which was preferably sun kissed . Not only did this
policy contribute to a negative work environment where employees felt they were constantly being
evaluated on the basis of their physical attributes alone, but it also led to human rights violations
wherein job applicants were denied employment on the basis of their race and/or religion. In a
2004 class action lawsuit filed against the retail giant, several thousands of former A F employees
alleged the company discriminated against African Americans, Latinos, and Asian Americans in its
hiring practices as well as its advertisements. The claimants also purported that non white
employees were frequently relegated to the back of store tasks where they would not be visible to
store patrons. A F settled the lawsuit out of

Vengeance In The Help By Kathryn Stockett
Revenge is sometimes sweet but, it can also be very bitter. In The Help by Kathryn Stockett,
revenge is shown often and in some cases it is sweet and in others it is bitter. In many cases
revenge can make a person feel better, when they are the ones giving it. When receiving revenge,
it could make a person more upset than what they were before. Revenge is either sweet or bitter
depending on who is giving and who is receiving. For one of the main characters in Stockett s
novel revenge has never tasted so good. After being pushed around by Hilly, Skeeter s best friend,
and being told to go against something she feels strongly about Skeeter finally stood up for herself.

In the paper titled Factory Farming: The Truth about the Poultry Industry by Jessica Stopa, she
informs readers about the malpractices of chicken livestock in the food industry in comparison
to how traditional agriculture practices were previously before the industrialization age. Her
paper was intended to speak to American food consumers and bring to light or inform about the
severity of industrialized farming practices. The writing was prompted by one of Ms. Stopa s
english classes and the intention of this work is to rhetorically analyze her credentials. She
incorporates a heavy amount of logos into her work to backup her own logic, but also includes
bits of pathos about the treatment of chicken and ethos by referring a figure who operates a local
farm. Stopa strategically begins her first few paragraphs with multiple entries of logos to present
the strength of her point. Each transition is crafted in chronological order of how an industrial
chicken farm operates, including how the poultry are manipulated and the effects on the end
product. The writer incorporates a visual in paragraph two of a typical chicken coop, today, animals
are treated like products, stacked together... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It s understood that her position on the topic is not a positive one, in paragraph six she states the
suffering of these hens does not last long, but that pain can be avoided altogether if companies
would focus less on cutting costs and more on the welfare of their animals. . Words like thrown ,
drowned , and suffering are well interspersed in Stopa s work that gives readers a critical tone.
Once again, she fails to tie in the alternate views to each body paragraph, but instead comments on
the bad aspects of our reinvented food system. Readers can be sympathetic with the animals, but
they re not given the full spectrum of reality and truly able to judge the continually arising

group. Around 374 AD the Huns digressed on west to Hungary. When Atila was around as leader
the empire of the Huns his people did not find him appealing. Although the people of his empire
disliked him their empire thrived greatly. Atila was quite the leader, and didn t take many losses
except for one. Atila and his warriors were defeated in one battle only by the Romans who made an
alliance with the King of the Visigoths, to take Atila down in the Battle of Catalaunian Plains (S.

Analysis Of The Corpse Of Brutus Essay
Standing over the corpse of Brutus, Antony begins his terse and final speech with the words
This was the noblest Roman of them all. In order to discover the meaning of this claim, we must
look to the next few lines in which Antony provides support for it. He notes that all the
conspirators save only he / did that they did in envy of great Caesar. This seems, at least
regarding Brutus, to be accurate. We find evidence for this in the beginning of the scene set in
Brutus s orchard. Brutus says regarding Caesar I know no personal cause to spurn at him, / But
for the general. While it is not, as we shall soon find, always advisable to take the claims of this
play s characters at face value, these words are spoken when Brutus is alone and consequently
without reason to dissemble. Brutus thus does not bear any personal envy for Caesar but only
opposes him for the general cause, which is the common welfare of Rome. This aligns very well
with what Antony says next in his final speech, that Brutus only in a general honest thought / And
common good to all made one of [the conspirators]. So far, then, Antony seems to reckon Brutus
the noblest Roman of them all because of his commitment to the general welfare at the expense of
his own, and his speech perhaps expresses a tragically late recognition of Brutus s greatness.
The next three lines of this speech, however, when contrasted with the first line, present a serious
claim about nobility as it applies to the citizen and to

Kraft Foods, Inc.
Case Topic, Setting, and Perspective Kraft Foods, Inc. pursued an aggressive launch of coffee
pods in the United States, but had less than a month to decide whether Kraft should proceed with
a similar launch in Canada, or await the U.S. results. However, a Canadian launch withholds
several decisions. A suitable branding strategy is necessary, wholesale and suggested retail price
for coffee pods, choose which flavors to offer, and decide whether Kraft should use traditional
distribution channels or direct to store (DSD). Also, the development of an effective advertising
and promotion strategy on a relatively limited budget is necessary. From a consultant perspective,
Kraft has chosen to pursue the Canadian market. Kraft has chosen a Canadian test market
because a test market assumes less risk, less cost, and insightful information regarding the
purchase of coffee pods in a foreign country. History and background Kraft is an innovative
company that started over 100 years ago, in 1903, by a man named James Lewis Kraft. This man
decided to get into the cheese business and purchased wholesale cheese. He then began selling this
cheese to small stores in Chicago, Illinois. With the help of his brothers, the business grew
exponentially and they eventually began manufacturing their own cheese. With its continued
expansion and growth, Kraft quickly became a common household name, and by 1926 sales were
$36 million. Over the years Kraft expanded its product line to Philadelphia cream

Effects Of Emerging Economies On North America s Economy...
Introduction:
This report is intended to brief the reader on the effects of emerging economies on North America
s economy and the global market on a whole. This report provides an overview of the emerging
economies of India China; their education, ideological beliefs economic performance and how
North America s way of business is affected. This report was compiled based on articles from
reputable sources, such as Bloomberg and articles published within the industry. This report was
authorized by Mr. Laviolette, an Accounting teacher at Jean Vanier Catholic High School.
Overview of Global Economy:
Today s Global economy is governed by a delicate balance of variables. The addition of a new
economy to the global market affects all of the pre existing variables, bringing with it a host
challenges and opportunities. Much like an initial public offering, countries may buy in or develop
economic agreements with the emerging market economy (EME). This often results in the country
buying in to the emerging economy, getting services or products at a discounted rate, while the
emerging economy gets business like China and the United States. These types of agreement may
result in the poorer country sacrificing its citizens well being, to ramp up for economic growth, like
China. In the end most countries economies are interconnected for example with the United States
Canada relationship. If one country s economy were to collapse there would be strongly adverse
effects on the

the question has been raised if students on college campuses should be allowed to carry a weapon

guns are around. According to the article, The Numbers on Arming College Students Show Risks

Victimized allowed psychology to explain what we may say, act or feel. The mental health industry
takes vulnerable victims from accidents and convince them into believing that they are ill
individuals.
Many traumatic life experiences are turned into continuous emotional problems. The individual is
now told that their experience has weakened them and to recover they must believe that their
experience was traumatic. The person must face the issue, confront it and go through the
psychological process which is making him now believe that he was once a victim to a survivor.
A real victim does not want to be a victim at all. A woman who has been raped did not want to
experience that. An individual who gets in a car does not want to be a victim of a car accident.

Billing, or money is an important issue in the mental health industry. Surgeons operate on people
to remove tumors or repair damage. Gastroenterologists perform a procedure, identify the
problem and treat the problem medically or surgically. Both of these have a defined problem and
a defined end. They are both paid for their service. However, on the other hand, with mental
health, the practitioner gets paid as the patient keeps returning. The gastroenterologist and the
surgeon have a goal to fix the problem while the mental health professional s goal is to see the
problem continue so they can continue to listen... and to bill for services. Many as well as myself
believe this is the very reason as to why patients can spend years enduring psychotherapy and other
forms of mental health care and actually be no better than when they came under care.

The Crime Of Serial Murder And Mass Murder
Rotten Apples
The act of Serial murder and mass murder have similar characteristics, however they are not the
same. Before they can be defined, it is necessary to first understand what exactly constitutes murder.
According to the United States Code section 1111, murder is defined as the unlawful killing of a
human being with malice aforethought (FindLaw, 2014). With that said, according to the Federal
Bureau of Investigation, the term serial murder implies that there are at least three different murder
events at three different locations, with a cooling off period between each event (Ramsland, 2009).
Individuals who perpetrate the crime of serial murder are referred to as serial killers. The term serial
killer was coined in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While serial murder has a definition that contains certain specific characteristics, there is no
generic profile of a serial murderer. According to the FBI, each serial killer is individualized by
their motivations for killing, method of operation, and behavior at the crime scene. However, lack
of remorse or guilt, impulsivity, predatory behavior, the need for control, and sensation seeking
are all common traits to most serial killers (Federal, 2005). Modus Operandi, commonly known as
MO, is also a characteristic that may individualize one serial killer from another. The MO reflects
what actions the killer performed to commit the crime in question. This includes everything from
the ruse used to lure, type of restraint used, to the way that the killer actually consummates the
murder. A serial killer s MO can change, as he learns from his past mistakes and improves his
tradecraft. On the other hand, a Signature is a discernable regularity that occurs at each crime scene
event that can link a particular homicide to others. According to FBI profiler John Douglas, a
signature, is a ritual, something the subject does intentionally for emotional satisfaction something
that isn t necessary to perpetuate the crime (John Douglas in Freeman, 2014). Some serial killers
pose their victims in a certain way or leave them in a particular location after consummating the
murder. Another form of signature may be the technique employed to

Starch may be further processed into such products as dextrin.
Starch glue is the general name for adhesives made from wheat starch, potato starch, or cassava
starch modified with acids, alkalies, or oxidizing agents, it has poor resistance to moisture.
Commercial is obtained from the starch of tapioca, maize and sweet potatoes.
The halogen elements (fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, and astatine) also serve as oxidizing
agents. When chloride combines with sodium chloride or common salt, the sodium atoms give up
electron to the chloride atoms.
A salt is derived from an acid when one or more hydrogen atoms of the acid are replaced by one or
more metal ions positively charged radicals.
Alkalies are usually salts or hydroxide of sodium potassium, lithium or ammonia.

Psychological Effects Of Psychedelics Essay
The world of psychedelia introduces many new psychological effects both medically and
recreationally. They offer a mind bending effect that is not seen in many other drugs. Using this to
their advantage doctors and therapists could use these drugs for patients who suffer from P.T.S.D.
and mental disabilities alike. Although there are many benefits to them, people still argue that
psychedelics should not be used for psychology. The negatives that come with psychedelics can
make even more problems for the user, or just increase the already existing problems. With the
chances of the negative outcomes being almost as equal to the good, should psychedelics be
used to help aid mental illnesses. It s clear that psychedelics affect the brain primarily, and
exaggerate the emotions of the user. Psilocybin is the main ingredient that is responsible for the
effects of most psychedelics. The way psilocybin works is that it stimulates serotonin receptors
in the brain called 5HT 2 receptors. Once the psilocybin starts triggering its effects the user will
start to feel intense sensations, colors become more vivid, and sounds might even become visual.

organization. Pharmaceutical, hospitality, BPO,IT,ITES,KPO, insurance, manufacturing,
automobile, education industry etc. are the common industries which function on talent and
knoweldge based employees for the progress of their organization growth. Training the skillset
according to the needs of the industry upliftment is additional investment on the employees, further
retaining them is another challenge, managing the employees in the relevant skillset has to be
monitored with special care and attention. Periodically review and discussions with the employees
will raise a better platform for understanding the attitude amongst the employees. The thought of
discomfort to any employees have to be personally attended for understanding the depth of their
problem. So far software sector faced 15% to 20% attrition rate and the conservative estimates
increases the attrition to 35 40 percent. In case of Insurance companies, where there are benefits of
building huge networking, the job pressure is equally huge. Also, there is humpty number of
competitors where poaching is done spasmodically. Hence Attrition irrespective of industry is a

The Negative Consequences Of Bullying
It s often said that art reflects life, and unfortunately this is certainly true in the case of bullying.
Bullying is a huge issue in America, particularly after the popularization of internet use as a part of
daily social interactions, a statistic significantly higher in younger generations like the high school
shown in the video. Furthermore, there is a notably higher percentage of both online and in
person bullying in middle schools versus high schools, according to the CDC in 2015. This is
likely due to the larger integration of internet use into the lives of younger and younger people,
allowing for more online interactions. 90% of students who were cyberbullying victims were also
victims of bullying offline, according to Duke University s Department of Psychology and
Neuroscience, bringing into light the connection between online persona and the real world. By
acting negatively online, we as a society allow these actions to go unchecked by figures of
authority; as shown in the video, these actions can have negative consequences on the self esteem
and relationships of students.
In my K 12 magnet school that I have attended since the first grade, there is a mutual
understanding and respect in almost all cases, yielding a very low bullying rate. As a small school
with people who start attending class together at the age of five, and new kids being added in small
increments, the ones who have stayed the longest seem to have a better understanding of how

The Most Effective Form of Media Essay
The Most Effective Form of Media There are many different types of media. The media is things
like: televisions, newspapers, magazines, radio, internet, cinema, phones and many more. Media
is important because it influences people to buy products. They are very affective and appeal to
many people. Adverts are things that show certain products and try to get you to buy them. The
purpose of adverts is to make you buy the products being advertised so they can make a profit.

Channels four, five and ITV do show adverts because they need the money from the
advertisement companies so their channel can keep afloat. Sky and cable completely rely on
television adverts because they need it for the funding. The advantages of advertising on the
television is you can have sound, movement, special affects and it is visual. The disadvantages
of advertising on the television is that the programme you are watching is split up, people
usually go for a snack when they come on and the small print can be difficult to read. I have
analysed a television advert and I have chosen, L OrГ©al , the shampoo and conditioner. The
target audience for this is probably women that like to look after their hair. The time the advert
appeared was between nine and ten at night, on ITV. It was on between Footballers Wives, and
this was a good time to put it on as the target audience may have been watching the television at
this time. The reason I have chosen this product is because it has a lot of hidden persuaders, and
persuasive techniques. Persuasive techniques and hidden persuaders used are the use of
statistics, when it says that there was, 95% less brakeage of hair . There is also the use of
science when it shows a strand of hair, and it says, It has Nutri Cerimide R , which sounds

Rape Culture In Australia
Five rugby league players have consequently been charged with raping and sexually assaulting a
mildly disabled 18 year old woman at a sevens tournament, none of them faced charges. (English,
2004). Apparently, Some of the boys love a bun. Gang banging is nothing new for our club or the
rugby league, reported a player from the Canterbury Bulldogs, an Australian Rugby league team
(English, 2004). The frequency of rapeallegations and the lack of consequence for athletes is
reflected in Australian culture. Normal citizens and elite sportsman have many similarities that may
be leading to the high amount of rapes in Australia. Confusion on what rape is, male perception of
masculinity, rapes portrayal in the media, and the objectification of women are possibly leading to
high levels of rape by both groups. Rape culture in Australian athletic institutions and within the

Sports are insinuated into the daily lives of Australian citizens (Rowe, 2018). So, when the

minutes around 10 pm, and in that time around 6,000 views had occurred (Krien, 2013).
Continuous articles of athletes getting away with rape are not just seen by the public, but by other
athletes as well. If there is no consequence to an action, then it can be seen as acceptable. When the
Canterbury Bulldogs had six players accused of assaulting a twenty year old in a hotel pool, the
story had to make the news (English, 2004). Despite the entire country seeing the victim s story, the
players got off without charge (English, 2004). Instances like this show that even under immense

Notes On Productivity And Performance Management
Introduction
In Unit 3 you will review Chapter 6 Productivity and Performance Management, and Chapter 7
Operational Metrics in health Care. Productivity and performance management is important for
healthcare managers as this will ensure the healthcare organization or department is more cost
effective and efficient over time. This is done by reducing costs, eliminating waste, and ensuring
efficiency in use of resources. The main focus of productivity management is the ratio of outputs to
inputs. The single and multifactor productivity ratios can be calculated to understand the
relationship between outputs and inputs. Labor staffing models should be used to align volume or
demand with resources. Internal consistent measuring and applying them over the long term will
show how a manager added value and a positive effect on the business operations. Operations
metrics is very useful from a production perspective in that you can monitor units per input per
units of output. From the clinical perspective care managers can quickly access clinical performance
against industry benchmark or an internal baseline value. In order to get a better understanding, let
s discuss metric driven performance improvement and databases that supports it.
Using Metrics for Performance Improvement
Surviving in the healthcare industry is no easy task. Part of staying afloat is improving
performance continually. To do so there needs to be a measurable goal, a timeline to achieve it, and

Macrophages Lab Report
Macrophages are cells that participate in the immune response when there is an infection.
Macrophages are phagocytes that can modify themselves in order to fight off various invaders;
thus, they are involved in the first line of defense (Mandal). Macrophages are able to partake in
the immune response with the help of cytokines. LPS is a gram negative bacteria cell wall
component known to stimulate diverse cytokines such as interleukin 1 (IL 1), IL 6 and tumor
necrosis factor alpha (TNF О±) from macrophages (Buckley 31). Garlic is also known to be an
immune modulator (Buckley 31). In this experiment, the cytokinegene expression from
macrophages treated with LPS and garlic was used to determine gene expression.
Using the female, J774A.1 cells and the male RAW264.7cells, total RNA was extracted from
treated macrophages. Using a Spectrophotometer, absorbances were measured at three readings:
230nm, 260nm, and 280nm. At 260 nm, the nucleic acid concentration, at 230nm, the organic

Thus, garlic suppressed the production of 1L 1B, IL 6, and IL 12 in both male and female cells.
However, garlic did enhance only the J774A.1 cell s production of TNF О±, which would cause

Pros And Cons Of Suburbanization
As one of the oldest cities in the United States, Philadelphia has been though the suburbanization
just like other American cities. As we have discussed above, most nice neighborhood, high quality
school are in suburban area. However, since 90 s, the gentrification is undergoing in Philly.
Between 1990 2000, only four neighbors were gentrifying which 1.5% of the total tracts, but this
speed has accelerated since 2000 (PhiladelphiaGentrification Maps and Data, n.d.). 84 tracts out of
383 total tracts are gentrifying now, which makes up 28.7%. One of the possible sign of this
phenomenon is the population is moving back. If the citys gentrification is successful, the
population is expected to grow. According to the Blumgart, J. (2016) Philadelphia s

Write An Essay On The Hendricksons
The Deal
One night, on 1943, the street lamps were lighting up the rugged, dirty streets of New York.
Families were laughing and having a great time in the wondrous city. A couple families were
going to a play at the theater. One of the families was the Hendricksons. The Hendricksons are a
rich, greedy, and a 3 person family. There names Molly, the wife, Bob, the husband, and Johnny the
son. The play was a great play. It was full of action, comedy, and drama. After it was over, the
Hendricksons went outside and thought it was a good idea to take a stroll in the big city. They

The Woman s Body
In the painting, a young, life sized woman is seen dressed in a very classy manner inside of a
bedroom in a palace. The top of her dress seems to be falling off of her breasts and shoulder a bit,
and her right leg is exposed. Sshe is bending backwards, and her facial expression seems to be
full of shock, disgust, anger, and fear, as if something horrific had just happened to her. Her
right arm is raised, almost as if she is surrendering and saying don t hurt me or I didn t ask for
this . In the lower left area of the portrait, there are two important items in which her face is
pointed towards: broken eggs on a silver platter and a dagger, which represent lost virginity and
self harm, respectively (DAI). The motion of the woman s body, her facial expression and clothes
she is wearing, and the iconographic items in the painting reveal that she is Lucretia, the woman
who was raped. According to the didactic, Lucretia was the wife of a Roman noble, and was raped
by Sextus, the son of Tarquin, who was the king of Rome. Tarquin s nephew, Brutus, led the
rebellion against the king, which eventually led to his banishment. After she was raped, Lucretia
told the incident to her brother and father and probably because of how guilty she felt stabbed
herself with the dagger that Sextus used to threaten her with. Interestingly, the dagger in the
painting is not bloody and Sextus is not present, although this appeared to have happened right after
the rape. Therefore, it makes sense

Based on the importance of the role the judiciary plays in POGG, I theorize that states will choose

presented in Chapter 4 provides evidence that across the all 28 states in the sample the

independence and subsequently abolished the right of appeal. The goal is to increase our
understanding of the factors that influence the decision to abolish all appeals to the JCPC in
The Gambia, New Zealand and Singapore. Firstly, I argue that states are more likely to perceive
a disconnect with the JCPC based on their level of success before the JCPC in cases where the
state is a party to the proceedings. Secondly, cases where the state is the appellant may be
particularly salient. In these cases, the state has decided to use public resources to challenges the
decision of a lower domestic appeals court decision. This indicates that the state takes the challenge
very seriously and would like a final appellate court that is likely to uphold its policies. Finally, I
argue that change in the governing political coalition will influence the view of the court a partner.
Seow (1997) asserts that less democratic or more authoritarian states are likely to be more sensitive
to JCPC decisions that do not uphold the

Piggy In Lord Of The Flies Analysis
Overall, Piggy represents different aspects of government that society often forgets about. He is
intelligent, rational, and, like Ralph, civilized. Piggy furthers the theme through his characteristics,
words, and actions. On the other hand, Golding places a character in the novel that eventually
disrupts all order and strives for complete mayhem because of the savagery that grows within him.
This character is the leader of the choir and hunters, Jack Merridew. Jack represents autocracy
through his power hungry, uncivilized and relentless personality. An autocratic government
is a type
of government in which power is placed in one person s hands and in which decisions are made
whether the population agrees or not. From the beginning Jack has desired to be the one in
charge. I ought to be chief... because I m chapter chorister and head boy. I can sing C sharp
(Golding 22). Just because Jack can sing C sharp does not mean he should be the one in charge,
but he does not see it that way. He desires power so badly that he uses the younger boys
innocence to get them to join his group. Jack will not accept the role the boys give him. Ralph
names him chief of hunting since he did not win the vote, however Jack desires to be the overall
chief. Ron Carter discusses the different characters in William Goldings Lord of the Flies; in fact,

How Does Temperature Affect The Rate Of Reaction
A chemical reaction is a process that involves the movement of the molecules in a substance. All
chemical reactions involve both reactants and products. Reactants are substances that cause a
chemical reaction, and products are substances that are generated in the reaction. The reaction
rate for a reactant or product in a particular reaction is defined as how quickly or slowly a
reaction takes place. In general, the reactions between covalent compounds are slow. For example
rusting of iron. In the same way weathering of rocks takes place in millions of years. An example
of a fast reaction rateis in an explosion when the reaction has to happen quickly. In general, the
reactions between ionic compounds are fast. This reaction is also called neutralisation reaction.
Reaction rates can be altered in four ways these are; The temperature is increased, the
concentration of a dissolved reactant is increased, the pressure of a reacting gas is increased, solid
reactants are broken into smaller pieces and if a catalyst is used or added. In this investigation it
was tested if a chemical reactionwould occur faster if the surrounding temperature was hotter.
Aim
The aim of this experiment was to find out how temperature affects the rate of reaction between
Sodium thiosulfate (hypo) and hydrochloric acid.
Hypothesis It is believed that if the temperature is hotter then the reaction rate will occur faster.
This is because the heat will make the particles move faster.

Hollywood Music Research Paper
It is common belief that music was first incorporated into films in the early 1900 s, to help drown
out the noises the projector made during viewing. In the early days, this musical coverage was
provided by an in house musician; then it later evolved into entire orchestras. In both
accompaniments, the musician or musicians would be provided with cue sheets that served as a
story map or guide to played along with the filmwhile it was being shown. In almost all instances,
the music consisted of recognizable pieces by famous composers. As the technology of projectors

Assyrian Art Essay
Assyrian Art
The reliefs from the palace of King Assurnasirpal II at Nimrud play an important role in
portraying the power and importance of the Assyrian king. These reliefs are similar to other
Assyrian reliefs in terms of their purpose; however, there is a contrast in the methods used to
glorify the king. By examining such factors as style, iconography and historical significance, we
find many similarities and differences between the ceremonial reliefs and the more common reliefs
depicting war and hunting.
The reliefs belonging to the sacred or ceremonial category consist of panels depicting a sacred

In term of stylization, both the human headed deities and Assurnasirpal have very stylized hair
falling in straight locks to the back of their necks; furthermore, they possess highly stylized beards
of intricate waves and ringlets which end evenly at the bottom.
Because these features are similar to that of Assurbanipal and the mythological bullmen at the
palace at Khorsabad, it can be construed that it is a coiffure characteristic of royalty and divinity
alike (Art History Anthology 28).
Moving on to the facial expression, we find that all the human headed figures contain large
eyebrows, large eyes that are deeply undercut, an elongated nose, conventionalized ears, and highly
conventionalized lips which appear as a simple slit. On the other hand, the beardless griffin has an
eagle s head adorned with a feather headdress and a curved beak with a long tongue. To show the
strength of the deities and Assurnasirpal, the artist depicts muscles within the arms and legs through
simple lines and curves. This style of depicting the facial and body features is common in other
Assyrian reliefs including the hunting scenes of Assurbanipal.
Although there are many similarities in body structure, there is also a distinctive element that
separates the deities and the king. Each deity possesses a set of four highly stylized wings made up

In 1918, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled, in a 5 4 decision, that the legislation was an
unconstitutional infringement on personal freedom. The following year, the Congress tried
another strategy to establish protection for child workers through taxation of employers. But in
1022 the Child Labor Tax Law, as it was known, was ruled unconstitutional for being overly
prohibitory and regulatory. In 1924, both houses of Congress passed an amendment to the U.S.
Constitution, empowering Congress to limit, regulate, and prohibit the labor of persons less than
18 years of age. Even though the reluctance of state legislators to ratify the child labor
amendment, legislative attempts to deal with the problem nationally continued, notably during the
administration of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The National Industrial recovery Act, passed
by Congress in 1933, established a minimum age of 16 for workers in most industries. In
hazardous industries a minimum age level of 18 was established. This law contributed to a great
decrease in the number of yond workers, but the Supreme Court ruled the act unconstitutional in
1935. In the next year the Congress passed the Walsh Healey Act, which prohibits firms producing
goods under federal government contract from employing boys and girls less than 16 years of
age. The nest important legislation on the problem was the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938,
better known as the Federal Wage and Hour Law. This

The Doctrine Of Judicial Law
Before critically analysing the extent to which the doctrine of judicial precedent affects judicial
law making, one must first contemplate what the doctrine of judicial precedent is. The doctrine
is a rule that all lower courts are to be bound by the decision or ratio decidendi of the higher
courts. As a result of this, cases that are alike are decided in a similar way . However, it is not
this simple, as it will be seen throughout this essay that wider circumstances are involved that affect
the judicial law making process. Judicial law making (otherwise known as common law) is judge
made law rather than law set out in statute. The relationship between the two will be evaluated.
Firstly, it is important to outline the types of decisions that are made in courts. Decisions made in
the courts are the starting point of the doctrine of judicial precedentbecause it is these decisions that
binds the courts in subsequent cases. This can help the courts but can also hinder them when
creating common law principles. Two different types of decision making should then be outlined,
these being rule based and reason based decisions. When a decision is made it can either be made
on the strict rules that apply to the situation or on the balance of all relevant reason. Due to the
doctrine, lower courts must take the former approach being bound by the rules established in the
decisions of the higher courts. Rule based decisions are supported by Sir William Blackstone who
observed the

Tense Present Democracy, English, And The Wars Over Usage
Summary of Tense Present Democracy, English, and the Wars over Usage Published in April of
2001 by Harper s Magazine, David Foster Wallace s essay is both a review of A Dictionary of
Modern Usage by Bryan A. Garner and an interjection into the present day Usage Wars. Wallace
s thesis for his essay is stated after a list of grammatical errors that are overlooked on a daily

How Did Shakespeare Influence Romeo And Juliet
William Shakespeare, a prosperous Renaissance man, is known as the greatest playwright in
English literature. He was born on April 23, 1564 in a small town called Stratford upon Avon,
Warwickshire, England to John and Mary Arden Shakespeare (Waller). William started his writing
during the time period where individuality and freedom of choice were put emphasis on. This
lifestyle greatly influenced a vast majority of his works and his contributions to the English
language. Shakespeare has written over thirty seven plays, his most famous being Romeo and
Juliet. He was a master of dramatic language and played with words and their meanings in a way
that could rarely be forgotten, once heard or read. Shakespeare attended class at King s New
School, where he learned several languages including Latin, Greek, French, and Italian. Throughout
the years, Shakespeare encountered many famous authors such as Aesop, Caesar, Cicero, Virgil,

This understanding and pre planning is something that we do during a Pre Deployment Site
Survey (PDSS). From personal experience, I admit that detachments that I have served on weren t
as prepared as Finian. Our PDSS has returned to the detachment with questions left unanswered
and I attribute that to a lack of prior understanding of the environment. If prior research is not
conducted to understand the full spectrum, there is no way that a thorough site survey can occur.
This can lead to an ill prepared deployment and risk damaging rapport with the host nation.
Another imperative that Father Finian displayed was his ability to ensure legitimacy and
credibility with the local population. He did so not by showing up as the educated,
knowledgeable, and powerful American, but by making himself a peer amongst the locals. Finian
knew there were three things that had to happen rather quickly: Find a courageous Catholic, learn
the local language, and build an immunity to the local cuisine and water. Finding another Catholic
is an obvious must; however, learning the local language and eating the local fare is an imperative
that Americans are doing less of as the years go by. Learning the language and eating the food
should be an obvious necessity but that s not the case. Some Americans have the arrogance that
English is the superior language of the world and that others should strive to learn it. I say this

daughters, peers as their brothers and sisters, and role model figures as aunts and uncles. The Bean
Treesis written by Barbra Kingsolver and is set in the early 1980 s. It tells the story of a young
woman named Taylor, and the life she builds in Tucson Arizona. Far from home, she meets many
great people and finds a place where she belongs. Kingsolver shapes her message of the importance
of families both blood and found through her use of character archetypes... Show more content on

Throughout the story Taylor grows very close to Estevan and Esperanza. Taylor now considers
them family and proves that by risking losing Turtle and persecution. Through Taylor s heroic
action the author is showing that your family is worth serious danger. Signatory to the United
Nations something something on human rights, Mattie was saying, and that we have a legal
obligation to take in people whose lives are in danger. (page 139 The Bean Trees, Kingsolver) In
this quote Mattie is saying that everyone has the obligation to take in and help people who are in
danger. She believes that people who need help should be helped, that the whole world is one big,
interconnected family. Mattie is a mentor figure who helps and guides people. A part of that is
hiding refugees fleeing persecution and treating them like family. Through Mattie s actions the
author shows that everyone can be family and that they are all human beings who should be treated
as such. The characters build the family that is so important to this story. Through their actions of
helping other they further the message of the importance of family both blood and found.
Kingsolver also uses archetypal symbols to develop her message with Jesus is Lord Used Tires
symbolizing a haven and a garden symbolizing growth and support. Jesus is Lord Used Tires is
represented as a haven because it used to hide illegal immigrants, is the first safe space Taylor

The Persuasiveness of the Captivity Narrative
As the most influential black American author of his time, in The Interesting Narrative of the Life
of Olaudah Equiano, or Gustavas Vassa, the African, Written by Himself, Olaudah Equiano
illuminated for the masses many of the inhumanities and atrocities associated with the slave trade
that previously had been known only to those more intimately involved with it and began an entire
new genre known as the slave narrative. Part of the success of Equiano s narrative must be ascribed
to the familiar themes of capture, captivity, and restoration that he experienced and many had read
in one of the many captivity narratives that were so popular in early Colonial times. One such
captivity narrativethat has many similarities to Equiano s slave... Show more content on

Before Equiano s narrative, slaves were a faceless mass with no individuality or humanity to speak
of. His slave narrative put an individual, educated, Christian face to the ongoing brutality.
Although both Rowlandson and Equiano s narratives were the first and most influential narratives
at the time they were written, the differences between the two are much more significant than
their similarities. The most noticeable difference between the two narratives is the portrayal of
the captors. While Rowlandson demonized her captors and dwelled on every slight that she
received, and even though Equiano received much worse from some of the white men that he
encountered, he often wrote of his admiration for them, their education, and the friendship that
was bestowed upon him. Equiano even wrote of one boy who was particularly nice to him, I
regarded [him] ... as ... my friend, whom I loved, and grieved for, as a brother (691). The
differences in this portrayal can be directly ascribed to the different purposes with which the
narratives were written. Rowlandson demonized the Indians partly because she was writing to the
Colonialists in an attempt to strengthen the Colonialists hatred of the Native Americans. In this
case it would not have been logical to write of their virtues. Equiano, however, was trying to get his
captors to sympathize with his cause. While it was

Environmental Impact Of The California Of Marine Animals...
On January 28, 1969 there was a well blow out which occurred during drilling in the Santa Barbara
Channel in Sothern California, an estimated 80,000 to 100,000 barrels of crude Oil was spilled into
the channel and its surrounding, this incident caused significant impact of the ecological
composition of the system, thousands of marine animals were killed and biodiversity was distorted.
The Santa Barbara oil spill and the already growing environmental interests in the 1960s led to the
enactment of the National Environmental Policy Acton January 1, 1970, its purpose was to promote
the enhancement of the environment, and it required executive federal agencies to prepare
environmental impact statements (EISs) and environmental assessment (EAs)... Show more content

These actions are defined at 40 CFR 1508.18. The environmental review under NEPA can involve
three different levels of analysis:
1.Categorical Exclusion determination (CATEX)
2.Environmental Assessment/Finding of No Significant Impact (EA/FONSI)
3.Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) (United States Environmental Protection Agency, 2017)
Since the passage of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA), federal agencies have
been required to consider the potential environmental consequences of their actions, and to bring
the public and other stakeholders into their decision making process. NEPA has been critical to
meeting the environmental goals this Nation has set for itself (Larson, Hess, D Avanzo, Stanley,
Sumpter, 2015).
One of the case studies highlighted by U.S. Department of Transportation s Federal Highway
Administration (FHWA) is the reconstruction of Interstate 29 Fargo, North Dakota. The Interstate
29, spreads from Kansas City, Missouri to the border between US and Canada in the state of North
Dakota, it is a corridor for local and International trade and transportation while there were some
underdeveloped agricultural lands adjacent to it.
The project consisted of the improvement of the roadway capacity and level of service,
improvement of access to and from the interstate, improvement of roadway access / continuity,
replacement of deficient pavements, across the interstate as it was considered in a poor state.

Research Paper:
The American Prairie A Known Wonder
By: Avani Pammidimukkala #20 and
Tanvi Prem #24
Due Date: May 26th, 2016
Introduction When people think of the American Prairie, they think of a dull, and grassy full
biome. But, the American Prairie is an extremely fascinating biome. At first glance, this grassy
biome may look really dull and boring, but if you look deeper into it and feel nature playing its
daily roles in this prairie around you, then you will see how unique this biome is.
Location
The American Prairie is usually located at mid latitudes, such as the middle of North America.
Covered with grasses and numerous wild flowers, this area of land is huge. On the American
prairie, trees grow that well, due to the lack of not too much rain. But, there are still some trees,
and if they are there, they are regularly scattered very far apart. The American Prairie is located
from the Great Plains to southern Texas and Mexico that forms an area that looks like a triangle.

Currently, this biome is experiencing a lot of human impact that affects the environment greatly.
The increased agricultural use of soil has created erosion, and its quality is going down. This is
causing the Bison and Pronghorn that live on the prairie to become almost extinct. The American
Prairie grassland is disappearing due to dividing up the land for farming and urban development.
Dividing up the land for farming is bad because the animals of the grasslands don t have any way
to move around. Prairie animals are also being endangered. When the prairie grassland is converted
into cropland, it reduces the food source for many wild animals. This can lead to migration or
possibly the starvation of the animals. Hundreds of animals have been hunted for valuable body
parts. Also, bison have been hunted for their meat. This caused animals to near extinction. Humans
have also done much more damage to this biome,

Abercrombie And Fitch Case Analysis Introduction According to Keyton, organizational culture is the set of artifacts, values, and assumptions that emerges from the interactions of organizational members (Keyton, 2014, p. 550). Over the past few years, past and potential employees of the clothing brand Abercrombie Fitch (A F) have taken to the media to explain the negative organizational culture that exists within the company. The management values and company policies that create this image obsessed culture have led to multiple human rights lawsuits, which has damaged the reputation of Abercrombie Fitch globally (Benson, 2013). Jefferies was successful in his pursuit and as a result, his exclusionary sentiment permeated the workplace culture of the organization at every level; from the sprawling 300 acre headquarters in the woods of Ohio to each individual retail outlet. At the heart of this culture was the Looks Policy , an unforgiving guide to how employees should present themselves at work. This policy governed every aspect of an employee s appearance from the number of times they rolled the cuffs of their jeans to the tone of their skin, which was preferably sun kissed . Not only did this policy contribute to a negative work environment where employees felt they were constantly being evaluated on the basis of their physical attributes alone, but it also led to human rights violations wherein job applicants were denied employment on the basis of their race and/or religion. In a 2004 class action lawsuit filed against the retail giant, several thousands of former A F employees alleged the company discriminated against African Americans, Latinos, and Asian Americans in its hiring practices as well as its advertisements. The claimants also purported that non white employees were frequently relegated to the back of store tasks where they would not be visible to store patrons. A F settled the lawsuit out of ... Jessica Stopa In the paper titled Factory Farming: The Truth about the Poultry Industry by Jessica Stopa, she informs readers about the malpractices of chicken livestock in the food industry in comparison to how traditional agriculture practices were previously before the industrialization age. Her paper was intended to speak to American food consumers and bring to light or inform about the severity of industrialized farming practices. The writing was prompted by one of Ms. Stopa s english classes and the intention of this work is to rhetorically analyze her credentials. She incorporates a heavy amount of logos into her work to backup her own logic, but also includes bits of pathos about the treatment of chicken and ethos by referring a figure who operates a local farm. Stopa strategically begins her first few paragraphs with multiple entries of logos to present the strength of her point. Each transition is crafted in chronological order of how an industrial chicken farm operates, including how the poultry are manipulated and the effects on the end product. • 6. Analysis Of The Corpse Of Brutus Essay Standing over the corpse of Brutus, Antony begins his terse and final speech with the words This was the noblest Roman of them all. In order to discover the meaning of this claim, we must look to the next few lines in which Antony provides support for it. He notes that all the conspirators save only he / did that they did in envy of great Caesar. This seems, at least regarding Brutus, to be accurate. We find evidence for this in the beginning of the scene set in Brutus s orchard. Brutus says regarding Caesar I know no personal cause to spurn at him, / But for the general. While it is not, as we shall soon find, always advisable to take the claims of this play s characters at face value, these words are spoken when Brutus is alone and consequently without reason to dissemble. Brutus thus does not bear any personal envy for Caesar but only opposes him for the general cause, which is the common welfare of Rome. This aligns very well with what Antony says next in his final speech, that Brutus only in a general honest thought / And common good to all made one of [the conspirators]. So far, then, Antony seems to reckon Brutus the noblest Roman of them all because of his commitment to the general welfare at the expense of his own, and his speech perhaps expresses a tragically late recognition of Brutus s greatness. The next three lines of this speech, however, when contrasted with the first line, present a serious claim about nobility as it applies to the citizen and to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Case Topic, Setting, and Perspective Kraft Foods, Inc. pursued an aggressive launch of coffee pods in the United States, but had less than a month to decide whether Kraft should proceed with a similar launch in Canada, or await the U.S. results. However, a Canadian launch withholds several decisions. A suitable branding strategy is necessary, wholesale and suggested retail price for coffee pods, choose which flavors to offer, and decide whether Kraft should use traditional distribution channels or direct to store (DSD). Also, the development of an effective advertising and promotion strategy on a relatively limited budget is necessary. From a consultant perspective, Kraft has chosen to pursue the Canadian market. The addition of a new economy to the global market affects all of the pre existing variables, bringing with it a host challenges and opportunities. Much like an initial public offering, countries may buy in or develop economic agreements with the emerging market economy (EME). This often results in the country buying in to the emerging economy, getting services or products at a discounted rate, while the emerging economy gets business like China and the United States. These types of agreement may result in the poorer country sacrificing its citizens well being, to ramp up for economic growth, like China. Bullying is a huge issue in America, particularly after the popularization of internet use as a part of daily social interactions, a statistic significantly higher in younger generations like the high school shown in the video. Furthermore, there is a notably higher percentage of both online and in person bullying in middle schools versus high schools, according to the CDC in 2015. Productivity and performance management is important for healthcare managers as this will ensure the healthcare organization or department is more cost effective and efficient over time. This is done by reducing costs, eliminating waste, and ensuring efficiency in use of resources. The main focus of productivity management is the ratio of outputs to inputs. The single and multifactor productivity ratios can be calculated to understand the relationship between outputs and inputs. Labor staffing models should be used to align volume or demand with resources. Internal consistent measuring and applying them over the long term will show how a manager added value and a positive effect on the business operations. Operations metrics is very useful from a production perspective in that you can monitor units per input per units of output. The motion of the woman s body, her facial expression and clothes she is wearing, and the iconographic items in the painting reveal that she is Lucretia, the woman who was raped. According to the didactic, Lucretia was the wife of a Roman noble, and was raped by Sextus, the son of Tarquin, who was the king of Rome. Tarquin s nephew, Brutus, led the rebellion against the king, which eventually led to his banishment. After she was raped, Lucretia told the incident to her brother and father and probably because of how guilty she felt stabbed herself with the dagger that Sextus used to threaten her with. This chapter presents a closer look at three states that retained the JCPC at independence and subsequently abolished the right of appeal. The goal is to increase our understanding of the factors that influence the decision to abolish all appeals to the JCPC in The Gambia, New Zealand and Singapore. Firstly, I argue that states are more likely to perceive a disconnect with the JCPC based on their level of success before the JCPC in cases where the state is a party to the proceedings. Secondly, cases where the state is the appellant may be particularly salient. In these cases, the state has decided to use public resources to challenges the decision of a lower domestic appeals court decision. This indicates that the state takes the challenge very seriously and would like a final appellate court that is likely to uphold its policies. Finally, I argue that change in the governing political coalition will influence the view of the court a partner. • 32. How Does Temperature Affect The Rate Of Reaction A chemical reaction is a process that involves the movement of the molecules in a substance. All chemical reactions involve both reactants and products. Reactants are substances that cause a chemical reaction, and products are substances that are generated in the reaction. The reaction rate for a reactant or product in a particular reaction is defined as how quickly or slowly a reaction takes place. In general, the reactions between covalent compounds are slow. For example rusting of iron. In the same way weathering of rocks takes place in millions of years. An example of a fast reaction rateis in an explosion when the reaction has to happen quickly. In general, the reactions between ionic compounds are fast. This reaction is also called neutralisation reaction. Reaction rates can be altered in four ways these are; The temperature is increased, the concentration of a dissolved reactant is increased, the pressure of a reacting gas is increased, solid reactants are broken into smaller pieces and if a catalyst is used or added. In this investigation it was tested if a chemical reactionwould occur faster if the surrounding temperature was hotter. Aim The aim of this experiment was to find out how temperature affects the rate of reaction between Sodium thiosulfate (hypo) and hydrochloric acid. Hypothesis It is believed that if the temperature is hotter then the reaction rate will occur faster. This is because the heat will make the particles move faster. Materials Dilute ... These reliefs are similar to other Assyrian reliefs in terms of their purpose; however, there is a contrast in the methods used to glorify the king. By examining such factors as style, iconography and historical significance, we find many similarities and differences between the ceremonial reliefs and the more common reliefs depicting war and hunting. In term of stylization, both the human headed deities and Assurnasirpal have very stylized hair falling in straight locks to the back of their necks; furthermore, they possess highly stylized beards of intricate waves and ringlets which end evenly at the bottom. Because these features are similar to that of Assurbanipal and the mythological bullmen at the palace at Khorsabad, it can be construed that it is a coiffure characteristic of royalty and divinity alike (Art History Anthology 28). Moving on to the facial expression, we find that all the human headed figures contain large eyebrows, large eyes that are deeply undercut, an elongated nose, conventionalized ears, and highly conventionalized lips which appear as a simple slit. On the other hand, the beardless griffin has an eagle s head adorned with a feather headdress and a curved beak with a long tongue. To show the strength of the deities and Assurnasirpal, the artist depicts muscles within the arms and legs through simple lines and curves. This style of depicting the facial and body features is common in other Assyrian reliefs including the hunting scenes of Assurbanipal. The following year, the Congress tried another strategy to establish protection for child workers through taxation of employers. But in 1022 the Child Labor Tax Law, as it was known, was ruled unconstitutional for being overly prohibitory and regulatory. In 1924, both houses of Congress passed an amendment to the U.S. Constitution, empowering Congress to limit, regulate, and prohibit the labor of persons less than 18 years of age. Even though the reluctance of state legislators to ratify the child labor amendment, legislative attempts to deal with the problem nationally continued, notably during the administration of President Franklin D. In hazardous industries a minimum age level of 18 was established. • 37. The Doctrine Of Judicial Law Before critically analysing the extent to which the doctrine of judicial precedent affects judicial law making, one must first contemplate what the doctrine of judicial precedent is. The doctrine is a rule that all lower courts are to be bound by the decision or ratio decidendi of the higher courts. As a result of this, cases that are alike are decided in a similar way . However, it is not this simple, as it will be seen throughout this essay that wider circumstances are involved that affect the judicial law making process. Judicial law making (otherwise known as common law) is judge made law rather than law set out in statute. The relationship between the two will be evaluated. Firstly, it is important to outline the types of decisions that are made in courts. Decisions made in the courts are the starting point of the doctrine of judicial precedentbecause it is these decisions that binds the courts in subsequent cases. This can help the courts but can also hinder them when creating common law principles. Two different types of decision making should then be outlined, these being rule based and reason based decisions. When a decision is made it can either be made on the strict rules that apply to the situation or on the balance of all relevant reason. Due to the doctrine, lower courts must take the former approach being bound by the rules established in the decisions of the higher courts. Rule based decisions are supported by Sir William Blackstone who observed the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Wallace s thesis for his essay is stated after a list of grammatical errors that are overlooked on a daily basis and a few paragraphs defining SNOOT. Part of the success of Equiano s narrative must be ascribed to the familiar themes of capture, captivity, and restoration that he experienced and many had read in one of the many captivity narratives that were so popular in early Colonial times. One such captivity narrativethat has many similarities to Equiano s slave... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Before Equiano s narrative, slaves were a faceless mass with no individuality or humanity to speak of. His slave narrative put an individual, educated, Christian face to the ongoing brutality. Although both Rowlandson and Equiano s narratives were the first and most influential narratives at the time they were written, the differences between the two are much more significant than their similarities. The most noticeable difference between the two narratives is the portrayal of the captors. While Rowlandson demonized her captors and dwelled on every slight that she received, and even though Equiano received much worse from some of the white men that he encountered, he often wrote of his admiration for them, their education, and the friendship that was bestowed upon him. Equiano even wrote of one boy who was particularly nice to him, I regarded [him] ... as ... my friend, whom I loved, and grieved for, as a brother (691). The differences in this portrayal can be directly ascribed to the different purposes with which the narratives were written. Rowlandson demonized the Indians partly because she was writing to the Colonialists in an attempt to strengthen the Colonialists hatred of the Native Americans. In this case it would not have been logical to write of their virtues. Equiano, however, was trying to get his captors to sympathize with his cause. While it was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

American Prairie Research Paper Research Paper: The American Prairie A Known Wonder By: Avani Pammidimukkala #20 and Tanvi Prem #24 Due Date: May 26th, 2016 Introduction When people think of the American Prairie, they think of a dull, and grassy full biome. But, the American Prairie is an extremely fascinating biome. At first glance, this grassy biome may look really dull and boring, but if you look deeper into it and feel nature playing its daily roles in this prairie around you, then you will see how unique this biome is. Location The American Prairie is usually located at mid latitudes, such as the middle of North America. Covered with grasses and numerous wild flowers, this area of land is huge. On the American prairie, trees grow that well, due to the lack of not too much rain. But, there are still some trees, and if they are there, they are regularly scattered very far apart. The American Prairie is located from the Great Plains to southern Texas and Mexico that forms an area that looks like a triangle. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Currently, this biome is experiencing a lot of human impact that affects the environment greatly. The increased agricultural use of soil has created erosion, and its quality is going down. This is causing the Bison and Pronghorn that live on the prairie to become almost extinct. The American Prairie grassland is disappearing due to dividing up the land for farming and urban development. Dividing up the land for farming is bad because the animals of the grasslands don t have any way to move around. Prairie animals are also being endangered. When the prairie grassland is converted into cropland, it reduces the food source for many wild animals. This can lead to migration or possibly the starvation of the animals. Hundreds of animals have been hunted for valuable body parts. Also, bison have been hunted for their meat. This caused animals to near extinction. Humans have also done much more damage to this biome, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
