Causes Of World War 2 Essay
Crafting an essay on the causes of World War II is undeniably a challenging endeavor. Delving
into the intricate web of historical events, political maneuvers, economic factors, and socio-
cultural dynamics requires a meticulous examination of a vast array of sources. The complexity
of the subject demands a comprehensive understanding of the geopolitical landscape of the time,
as well as a nuanced grasp of the ideologies and conflicting interests that fueled the global
conflict.
Researching and synthesizing information from diverse perspectives is no small feat. The
historian must navigate through primary documents, scholarly analyses, and eyewitness accounts
to construct a coherent narrative that unveils the multifaceted origins of World War II. Analyzing
the role of individual leaders, diplomatic miscalculations, and the interplay of alliances adds
another layer of intricacy to the task. Moreover, one must critically assess the long-term and
short-term causes, distinguishing between underlying tensions and immediate triggers that
ignited the war.
The essay's challenge lies not only in presenting a factual chronicle of events but also in
providing insightful interpretations and connecting the dots between seemingly disparate
elements. Crafting a thesis that encapsulates the complexities of the causes of World War II and
substantiating it with compelling evidence demands intellectual rigor and analytical finesse.
Moreover, the ethical dimension of discussing such a catastrophic event requires a delicate
approach. Sensitivity towards the human suffering, moral dilemmas, and global consequences is
imperative. Balancing objectivity with empathy is a tightrope walk that essayists on this topic
must navigate with care.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the causes of World War II is an intellectually demanding task
that requires a deep dive into history, critical thinking skills, and a nuanced understanding of the
complexities involved. It is a formidable challenge that necessitates diligence, thorough research,
and a commitment to presenting a well-rounded perspective. For those seeking assistance, similar

Late Medieval Italy ( 13th And 13th Centuries )
Late Medieval Italy (13th and 14th centuries) ( Syed Meesam Rasool) Chapter 14
We begin our narrative into the Late Medieval period. Europe was prospering with
good crop harvest, expanding population and a degree of economic stability in the
Eurasian trade routes, brought about by the Mongol rule in the east. Focus of this
paper is mainly in Italy, at this time in Italy, there were no centralized monarchy, and
rather we have land primarily divided into city states having their own ruling parties.

He wasn t the very first artist to come upon these ideals but he has given this mantle
by Giorgio Vasari in his book written in 1550 titled The Lives of the artists . Vasari
was contemporary to many famous Renaissance artists that we know about including
Michelangelo.
Giotto s Early work is seen in the freshness of the upper church of San Francisco in
Assisi. It is possible that he worked on the upper church with his teacher Cimabue.
Giotto took the expertise of his teacher and refined it into more naturalistic degree.
This can be seen in Cimabue s Madonna Enthroned with Angels and Prophets and
Giotto s Madonna Enthroned. Giotto s version had figures more rendered and there
is a refining of the features, the drapery and the painting as a whole, you can see the
light source coming from the single direction and illuminating the figures on each
side. This helps create sense of space and believability. This same painting was also
painted by another artist in Siena named Duccio.
The more mature work of Giotto which made him the leader in the development of
the western paining is the fresno s in the Arena Chapple. These painting were
executed as Fresco, a method whereby moist plaster was applied only to an area of
the painting that could be painted within that same day. It is possible that Giotto
could have employed members of his workshop to help paint the less significant
figures and details of the painting. This
The Geographic Information System ( Gis ) Essay
Today s society relies heavily on the use of computers and computerised information,
so much so that we rarely notice when an activity or action involves the use of
technology. Over the past 30 years, technology has continued to develop into
extremely complex systems capable of processing large amounts of data. It is now
possible to represent not only numbers and letters, but also images, sounds and maps
(Bernhardsen, 2002, p. 1). A Geographic Information System(GIS) is a computer
system or application designed to perform a variety of operations based on
geographic information. GIS is a tool used by many organisations, businesses,
schools, governments and individuals searching for innovative ways to solve
problems (Evans, 2014). Geographic Information Systems allow users to map,
model, analyse and query data all within a single database according to their
location (Evans, 2014). Information about the world is stored as a collection of
layers; these layers can be linked together by a common locational component such
as zip codes, latitude and longitude or road name. These geographic references
allow individuals to locate features for analysis of trends and patterns (Evans,
2014). Dozens of layers can be added and organised to display a wide array of
information on many subjects.
Computer based GIS systems have knowingly been used since the late 1960 s
(Coppock Rhind, 1997). However, the history of GIS is relatively unrecorded, it is a
field in which history is little
Differences And Similarities Between Citizen Kane And
Rosebud
The 1941 film, Citizen Kane, directed, co written, and starring Orson Welles, is
arguably the greatest movie ever made. No movie before was made like Citizen
Kane, and every movie made after was different because of it. Welles portrayal of
Charles Foster Kane (Orson Welles) takes us on a journey through the life of a man
overcome by greed and unconsciously fueled his need for love and security. We are
shown the events of Kane s life through an investigation by reporter Jerry Thompson
(William Alland), after Kane s death. Thompson interviews those who were once
closest to Kane in hopes of discovering the meaning of Kane s last words, Rosebud.
Through Thompson s investigation we get fragmented portrayals of Kane, and while
ultimately Thompson concludes that one word will not solve the... Show more content

Early in Thatcher s narration we see Kane playing in the snow with Rosebud, Kane s
mother Mary Kane (Agnes Moorehead) is making arrangements to send her son
away with her financial advisor, Walter Thatcher (George Coulouris), after becoming
enormously wealthy. We never truly get an explanation as to why Mary Kane sends
her son away except for when she tells her husband, Kane s Father, that he will never
get at him again, revealing that his father may be abusive, and that being sent away is
what s best for him, although this becomes questionable throughout the film. When
Kane is about to be taken away, he uses his sled to push away Thatcher. The sled
represents a physical barrier, and in this case, symbolized Kane pushing away a life
of adulthood and responsibility. Kane s resentment towards Thatcher progresses
throughout the film as he seemingly does everything he can to spite Thatcher, getting
kicked out of the nation s best schools and spending money carelessly on an art and
business endeavours set out to embarrass
Critical Analysis Of Okonkwo
Level Two Questions:
1. Okonkwo embodies all the ideal and heroic traits of the Igbo culture. He is strong,
authoritative, hardworking, and successful. The opening sentence states that
Okonkwo was well known throughout the nine villages and even beyond (Achebe
3). Okonkwo is great and famous because of his solid personal achievements
(Achebe 3). How does he achieve greatness and how is he defined by his culture?
Okonkwo first achieved fame and recognition when he became the village s wrestling
champion. At eighteen years of age, he had brought honor to his village by defeating
the seven year champion. By winning the wrestling match, Okonkwo demonstrates to
his village his great strength and skill as a warrior. After that his fame... Show more

What did the locusts represent for the villagers in the coming future in relation to the
British Settlers? In the Igbo culture, the locusts invade their territory and attempt to
destroy the crops trying to be grown., along with the village s surrounding trees. The
Igbo people eat the locusts, stopping the harm to their crops. After the British
invaded, Okonkwo went to the Oracle and said the strange men would break their
clan and spread destruction among them... they were locusts (Achebe 138 139) This
remark shows how the destroying of the yams and breaking of the trees is in direct
correlation with the British invasion. The British broke apart the Igbo culture, just
how the locusts had done in the past.
3. Okonkwo says He has put a knife on the things that held us together and we have
fallen apart(Achebe 176). because he is angry about the white men coming and
spreading the Christian religion. What are some reasons throughout the book that
would point Chinua Achebe towards using the title Things Fall Apart?
There are many reasons pointing towards the title of the book. Okonkwo starts from
the bottom and nothing in his life could go much worse. He did not have anything
that could fall apart Okonkwo did not have the start in life which many young men
usually had. He did not inherit a barn(Achebe 176). The book proceeds to explain
how Okonkwo builds up his life from nothings he achieved fame as the greatest

Correlation Between Stock Market Returns, Inflation, And...
Abstract There is a significant correlation between stock market returns, inflation,
and money growth. The effects of macroeconomic variable on equity returns are
nonlinear and time variant. This characteristic makes the study of these effects
difficult. I estimate a GARCH model of monthly returns of S P500, where realized
returns and their volatility depend on 11 macro announcements. The purpose of this
paper is to see which macroeconomic factors affect aggregate stock returns most
during 2008 financial crisis. Also, the effects of these factors before and after the
crisis are compared. I find out ... Introduction Investigating firm s key statistics such
as sales, ROIC, and free cash flow may not be enough to evaluate the company s
performance and future. Macroeconomic indicators seem like excellent candidates as
proxies of latent economic state variables because they influence both changes in
firms cash flows and the risk adjusted discount rate (Gosnell Nejadmalayeri, 2010). In
fact, various economic indicators can strongly impact equity returns. However, it has
been always difficult to establish this effect. Indeed, Chen, Roll, and Ross (1986)
assessment of asset pricing is relevant today: A rather embarrassing gap exists
between the theoretically exclusive importance of systematic state variables and our
complete ignorance of their identity. The comovements of asset prices suggest the
presence of underlying exogenous influences, but we have not yet determined
My Life Experience At Holy Trinity Church Of Murree
Essay
In my own life experience, I became aware of my state of sin in my early teenage
years. Through the ministry of the Word at Holy Trinity Church of Murree in
Pakistan, I had a clear understanding of the saving grace provided by the suffering,
death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. I embraced that grace in my youth
and began a lifelong spiritual journey. I was baptized as an infant but was confirmed
as a teen ager which helped me reflect on my sinful nature and the pardoning and
loving nature of God. My spiritual journey has been formed by a lifetime of Bible
study and accountable small group fellowships. Through these disciplines I have
learned to open myself to the nurture of the Holy Spiritand my fellow believers. In so
doing I have been trained to live at peace with all people, to accept the differences
in cultures, beliefs and personalities, to recognize the grace of God in people at all
stages of spiritual maturity and to nurture the faith of others. A lesson of
discipleship is to put off any behavior that may be a hindrance to the spiritual
growth of those with whom I am in fellowship. As the Apostle Paul taught, I should
not allow what is a freedom for me to become an obstacle to my fellow believers.
By living to the best of my ability to this standard, I have the freedom to be in
fellowship and ministry with both non Christians and Christians across the broad
spectrum of the global Church. I see my spiritual gifts to be most compatible with the
Family Guy Influence
There are many cartoons and sitcoms on television for both adults and children.
They range from Disney Channel to Fox, but most have one thing in common: the
father figure is a bumbling fool. While enjoyable, many of these shows are
damaging to our society and it makes one wonder if there is a connection between
kids and teenagers who watch these shows and not respecting men or the father
figures in their life.
In Family Guy, the idiot is Peter Griffin, in The Simpsons it is Homer Simpson, and in
American Dad it is Stan Smith. Even children s shows such as Good Luck Charlie
participate in the new standard. It is a sad reality but one that most Americans face
whether they realize it or not. Whether the dad on the show is making ignorant ...

Rather than admitting to the accident and trying to fix it, Peter bribes his daughter
Megan into taking the blame in exchange for buying her a new car. What kind of
message does this send to teens and young adults?
These shows make life seem easy and unimportant. The father figures earn no
respect and create multiple problems for themselves and for their families on a
daily basis. The message it sends is that it is ok to be lazy. It is fine to lie and cheat.
There is no problem with not having a respectable reputation. Adultery, stealing, and
violent assault is acceptable. The list goes on and on.
What if there were a show created in which the father has a respectable career, he
takes care of his family, respects his wife, and helps his children with any problem
that may arise? What if the lead character is smart and honest, kind and level
headed? Would that have an impact on teens and how they view their fathers? To
take it even further, perhaps it would have an impact on dads and their self image.
Perhaps it would help them to strive to be better and to set a good example for those

The Rise Of The Railroad System
At the start of every great advancement in society it is society itself that fails to
realize the negative repercussions the advancement might bring. While the rise of the
railroad system through Texas gave plenty of beneficial attributes, from faster
transportation of goods and services to expansion of Texan towns, which helped
boom our population, it would seem that a number of things would be drawbacks
leading to the termination of many Texan ideologies. The railroad system stemmed
throughout Texasallowed many walks of life a deeper view of the Great Lone Star
state. While people from different ends of the country came seeking new life others
came seeking new fortune which lead to the demise of cowboys, instillation of cattle
drives, and the Postbellum cattle boom. In order to understand the negative attributes
that the railroad brought we must go back and bring our attention to the beginning
which includes the original cowboys.
Despite the many riveting TV dramas that paint cowboys as fast men who love
faster women we now know in order to be historically accurate, we would have to
trade these Clint Eastwood fairy tales for less exciting ones of cowboys who were
smelly lonely men who had no serious work skills. These men would consist of
workers who were generally under the age of twenty that made 30 40$ a month.
During this time period they would walk with and behind cattle for up to six weeks
ensuring safe passage to these insanely stupid creatures. When the

Hiv Aids And Hiv And Aids
HIV stands for human immunodeficiency virus (Avert). It is virus that attacks the
immune system, our body s defense against disease (Avert). Individuals who become
infected with HIV will find it harder to fight infections (Avert). HIV is located in
semen, blood, vaginal and anal fluids, and breast milk (HIVand Aids). The most
common method to become infected is through anal or vaginal sex without a condom
(HIV and Aids). Other forms of contraction include using infected needles/ syringes,
from mother to child during pregnancy, or breastfeeding (HIV and Aids). If left
untreated, AIDS can evolve, this is when a person s immune systembecomes too
weak to fight infection and can no longer defend itself (What is AIDS). Despite
there not being a cure, an early diagnosis and effective treatment can enable people
to live a normal, healthy life (HIV and Aids). This paper will focus on the HIV
epidemic. It will compare and contrast HIV in the United States and in Kenya. The
paper will review the specific populations affected, testing and counseling centers,
funding and economic impact, and prevention programs each country is executing.
The HIV epidemic affects specific populations more than others (Avert). The
following statistics show the percentages of new HIV infections in the United States,
in the year 2013, unless otherwise noted (Avert). Men who have sex with men
(MSM) accounted for 68% of infections (Avert). Black/African Americans accounted
for 46% of infections (Avert).

Landlord Tenant Relationship
The case I choose for this assignment is Szeles v Vena 321 N.J. Super. 601 (1999).
In this case the tenant, Paul Szeles sued his landlord, Joseph Vena for injuries he
sustained on the property he was renting. The property is a single family dwelling in
West Keansburg. The issue in this case was if a tenant who has exclusive use of a
single family property under an oral lease is responsible to make repairs to the
property or if it is the landlords responsibility to make those repairs under the
Warranty of Habitablity.
Three years into the lease the tenant suffered injuries from falling on ... Show more

The tenant also claimed that the landlord failed to inspect the property or respond to
any of the tenants requests for repairs. The landlord claimed that the oral agreement
was a $200 discount off the rent in order to compensate the tenant for making the
necessary repairs and maintain the property. Both tenant and landlord agreed that at
no time was the landlord aware that the step was loose and that the tenant never
contacted the landlord about the steps prior to falling.
The judge decided that disputing the terms of the oral lease in this case would not
be productive or have any relevance on the actual facts of the case. Instead, the
judge ruled that this case solely involved what a landlord s duty of care under the
warranty of habitability would be for a single family property once the property
was rented. It was noted that if there was a duty of care it would only apply if the
landlord was put on notice that a repair was needed. In this case the tenant admitted
he never informed the landlord about the step claiming he did not know it was an
issue until he fell. Since the tenant failed to notify the landlord of this condition the
judge ruled that the landlord would not be responsible or in breach of his duties
since proper notice was not received by the tenant.
Citing common law which states a landlord is not liable to a tenant for physical harm
caused by a hazardous condition after the tenant took possession. This was
Ancient Greek Athletes
Although the competitors in ancient Greek athletics and modern body building are
different in many ways, they do have a common mindset when it comes to
competition, building strength, and sculpting their bodies with pride as their
motivator. Despite this common mindset, there are some differences between modern
bodybuildingand ancient Greek athletics such as the level of participation amongst
women. These men have pride instilled in them at a very early age and eventually
become obsessed with their self image. Once this type of person does grow up, they
make every decision based on their idea of what a man should do.
Most men who have this inherent sense of pride in being a man and having the body

In ancient Greece, body building was almost exclusively for males. Men are the
greater physical specimen so in the Greek s minds, they should be the ones
sculpting their bodies and taking pride in their appearance. Women were pushed to
the background and were seen to have other responsibilities than athletics. In today
s world women are considered equals. Anything a male can do a woman can also
do if she pleases and this includes bodybuilding. Giraldi touches on this when
describing how women in the gym will cause men to elevate what they are doing

sports that males do. This is definitely a change that has occurred over time and is for

Essay about The Gross Clinic
The Gross Clinic, by Thomas Eakins
HA 314 801 The History of American Art
I never knew of but one artist, and this is Tom Eakins, who could resist the temptation
to see what they think ought to be rather than what is. Walt Whitman
Thomas Eakins, was one the most important painters of American Art History. He
also was an photographer, sculptor, and fine arts educator. In this essay, you will
explore his life, his works and one of his most famous paintings which considered
shocking by viewers: The Gross Clinic.

Philadelphia. After graduating high school he attended the Pennsylvania Academy of

The canvas depicts him performing a surgery in the University ampitheatre. He is
removing a portion of a diseased bone from the thigh of a 14 year old boy, whose
mother looks on in horror. His son stands in the doorway, and Eakins himself is
seated in the gallery on the right side of the painting. There are 28 portraits in the
painting all depictions of actual individuals. The painting was considered shocking in
its day, and indeed still inspires shock in the viewer who first sees it.
As chair of surgery from 1856 to 1882, Dr. Gross inspired thousands of Jefferson
medical students and assistants with his articulate lectures, calm judgment,
mechanical dexterity, and contributions to surgical technique. Gross was author or
editor of hundreds of articles and many books. His two volume System of Surgery
of 1859, perhaps his best known work, appeared in six editions and in several
foreign languages. Gross was deeply involved in local, national, and international
medical societies and was a founder and office holder of many.
Thomas Eakins was aged thirty one and had never before attempted such an
ambitious composition when he requested Dr. Gross, then seventy years old and at
the pinnacle of his profession in 1875, to approve his conception for a portrait of the
physician in his surgical clinic. The young artist s confidence must have stemmed
from his knowledge of anatomy and his prior experiences in the medical
environment. He hoped to establish his
Essay On Holocaust Survivors
Although Holocaust survivors suffer greatly due to their experience during the
Holocaust, their children may suffer just as much. Survivors children were often
overexposed to their parent s trauma which in turn traumatized their children. On the
other hand, some children were left in the dark about their parent s experience, which
added to the culture of silence that plagued many Holocaust survivors. Not only
Holocaust survivors suffer from PTSD, but also their children. The second
generations parent s physiological impairments caused their children to suffer from
PTSD like symptoms. Holocaust Survivors often suffer from PTSD like symptoms
such as Experiencing flashbacks, nightmares, intrusive thoughts, avoidance, evading
the reminders of the traumatic events, feeling emotionally numb, jumpines,
susceptibility to stress, mood swings (including depression),

Due to their severe mental scarring, the first generation were unable to raise a child

also often overvalued and their parents expectations were often far greater than the
children abilities. Many survivors hoped for their children to accomplish more than
what one person could, to make up for all the people who did not have the chance to
fully live their lives. This made those children struggle with their self worth and their

Henry Hudson Research Paper
Who is he?
Henry Hudson was a navigator and sea explorer in the 17 century, who was born in
1565 England and died after June 22 1611 nearby Hudson Bay Canada. Much is
unknown about Hudson s birth but his death came from a mutiny in the Hudson Bay
(which was named after him) from his crew who casted him and his son and some of
the other crew with him adrift and have never been seen from that point on.
Who and what country commissioned his voyages?
In 1607 the Muscovy Company in England hired Hudson to find the Northwest
Passage from England along the top of Canada to the pacific coast of Asia. But this
didn t go to plan as they were forced back due to pack ice and worsening conditions.
But again the Muscovy Company wanted him to find the route to the Indies but this

The next layer will be filled by the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). CEO
will provide a link between the functional departments and the board of directors; he
will be responsible for presenting the aims and objectives of the hospital to the board
of directors and designing strategies to achieve them. There will be an administrative
assistant who would be responsible for assisting the CEO in his work by providing
him a detailed action plan and keeping him informed about the progress. The next
layer will consist of the functional units of the organization which would include
financial executives, health informatics, pathway service providers, community

Essay on Buddhist view on Abortion
It is quite clear from a variety of sources that abortion has been severely disapproved
of in the Buddhist tradition. It is also equally clear that abortion has been tolerated in
Buddhist Japan and accommodated under exceptional circumstances by some modern
Buddhists in the U.S. The situation is similar to that of Roman Catholicism, where
abortion, though disapproved of in the strongest terms by Church authorities, is still
practiced by a large number of devoted Catholics and defended by at least a few.
As a Buddhist, I would most likely still be for abortion. Buddhism itself speaks with
more than one moral voice on this issue against abortion. The core belief in
Buddhism is against abortion, but there are commonly people of this religion ... Show

If genes were entirely what made up a person, than abortion would not be acceptable,
but that is not the case. In very early stages of a pregnancy, Buddhists don t think of
the fetus as a person yet.
I am a Japanese Buddhist. Where I m from, Buddhism is a little bit different. A lot
of Buddhists consider abortion a moral crime, but in Buddhist metaphysics, the life
force comes from an existence which is fluid like water and returns to that
existence. The fetus is understood to be in a stage of becoming a discrete thing
passing out of the ancient waters. Life that appears in our world or in a woman s
uterus is the formation of a being that was before in the liquid like state of another
reality. Children are liquid and only gradually solidify into humans, this process not
being realized until after birth. Accordingly, the newborn gradually make the
transition from the world of the gods and Buddhas into that of human beings. Most
Japanese Buddhists (like myself) believe that you can be cursed by your baby after
the abortion procedure. Because of this, they perform a Mizuko Kuyo after an
abortion. Mizuko means water child, kuyo means memorial service conducted in
most cases by Buddhist priests.Mizuko Kuyos are ritual ceremonies of apology and
remembrance for aborted fetuses, or the stillborn and miscarried.
Buddhists are strong believers in Karma, the law of cause and effect. They are often

The Differences Of Constantine And Constantine s...
What is a proselytizer or what are proselytizer? If you are not familiar with the
term, it means, to attempt to convert someone to one s own religious faith or to
persuade someone to join one s own political party or to espouse one s doctrine .
So, to make it easier to understand it means someone helps someone else convert to
a belief, either politically or religiously. In Constantine s conversion to Christianity
in the 3rd century, was he persuade by someone or did he just happened to convert
unpersuasive? Or in Agathangelos story, History of the Armenians, was Trdat
persuaded by Gregory or were there other factors that persuaded Trdat to convert?
In my research I will compare and contrast which stories were similar, which were
different, and how gender even played a role in conversion. In addition I will include
how are they portrayed, who are they, are they foreign, did they come with a goal to
convert the king or did it just happen, are they depicted realistically, and what about
the stories that didn t have missionary involvement. As we compare Eusebius s story
of the life of Constantine and Argothos, History of the Armenians. Both Kings have
some similarities but one deciding factor is that they both convert differently. As we
go through eusebius s account of Constantine, Constantine is convince under his own
understanding of what Christianity is. He converts to christianity by himself. He
decides to change after he does his investigation. This only happens after he

Fat. Ugly. Skinny. Obese. Slim. Plump. Anorexic. Flabby. Thin. Scrawny. These
are just a few terms that are used when people humiliate others on their appearance
or body shape; in other words, body shaming. I am very passionate about the topic
of body shaming. I believe that society needs to stop sending out images to young
girls of the perfect body or the idea of body goals. Everyday, people see tweets or
posts on various social networking sites harassing others, like Instagram, Ask.fm,
Facebook, and Twitter. These sites give people access to comment on another
person s picture if they are following them or if they are not. They will go to any
extreme to humiliate others and say things like, Shut up you re fat or What s up
with girls nowadays getting too damn skinny? Get some meat on your bones, YOU
DON T LOOK HEALTHY!! . Anywhere you look you will see someone
embarrassing another person on their weight or size. Studies show that adolescent
girls are more fearful of gaining weight than getting cancer or having a nuclear war
(RaderPrograms.com). To think that girls are more frightened of gaining weight
than being involved in a war is unperceivable! Another study showed that an
average US woman is 5 4 tall weighing 140 pounds and the average US model is 5
11 weighing 117 pounds. How are women suppose to feel confident about their body
when models are almost 30 pounds lighter than an average woman s weight? I think

Back Porch Persuasive Speech
THE PORCH Breakfast was on your own, loosey goosey, lasting until the sleepiest
person or child appeared on the back porch. Capn Crunch was a mainstay. Big
George, up at dawn, would fix a cup of coffee and drift off onto the porch or deck
to read. Steve routinely drove to the mainland for a daily paper, enjoying his coffee
and news of the day. Millicent dutifully kept Jack s cereal box loaded and handy,
waiting on him as she had done for fifty years. Old fashioned ice trays in the bar,
filled and ready were emptied into containers to accommodate the copious amount of
liquid everyone consumed. Not wanting to run out of ice, it was necessary to repeat
this chore during the day as much as possible. During quiet times, Billy could be

THE DRINKING DECK Hot sultry days and cool nights were the norm that first
year. Evenings brought a favorite ritual of cocktails before dinner on the drinking
porch, surrounded by Pittosporum bushes, old as the house and big as trees, with
little critters scurrying underneath. The children bunched onto the limited seating
with the adults as well. Miles, true to himself, wore khaki shorts, navy golf shirt
and dock siders not to be changed once in two weeks. His long hair belied his
profession, but this was a vacation. Anything went. Stuffed and happy after the large
meal, anyone who wanted to extend the day would meet for after dinner drinks and
relax on the drinking deck. The guys puffed on cigars, the resulting smoke necessary

The Wedding At Cana By Paolo Veronese
When looking at the paintings that were created throughout the Renaissance art
period, there are multiple paintings that depict religious stories. The best of these
paintings has Jesus depicted within them. The majority of these paintings were
created by those who had a large impact on the art world today. One of the most
famous paintings that reveals religion within it is The Last Supper by Leonardo da
Vinci, which is similarly to The Wedding at Cana by Paolo Veronese. When
analyzing these two pieces of artwork, they are often confused for the other due to
the fact that they are both based on biblical stories as well as how they are organized.
There have been multiple discussions about which painting has more impact based on

This is when he states, One of you will betray me, (Matthew 26:21). This quote is
depicted in the painting by how we see Judas reaching for the same plate as Christ
in which Judas strays away from the plate. The way the painting is depicted is
showing that Jesus is the reason for everything that he is the reason we have the
stories we live by today. While The Last Supper may be an influential example of
religion, it only tells of a small story within the religion and doesn t measure to
significance that The Wedding at Cana had to it.
Within the painting there are multiple figures who are all centered around Jesus.
There are some people who are sitting at a table who seem to be eating food. There
are others who are around the feast table, some people are playing instruments,
some are meeting up with others, others are helping serve those sitting upon the
table, and some people at the top of the buildings seem as if they are looking at
something above them. There are other items depicted within this painting such as
animals. There are animals not only surrounding the people at the table, but there
are even some animals shown on the table and on people s body. There seems to be
something above the wedding in which a lot of people are gazing upon, when
looking at it, it seems to be a lady at the top of this building but it is unsure of who

What is the Price for Keeping the American Public Safe from Diet Supplements?
Being overweight and being in sports is a hard aspect of the game to overcome.
Many of the athletes in different sports go through tough training and conditioning.
Some athletes are under great pressure to make a certain weight in order to stay on
the team. If the players are overweight they might be fined or even benched for the
certain events. All of the sports that are out there have a lot of competition for
staying on teams. There are the athletes that struggle each week to keep their job
from younger stronger players coming in. So it is a question of were they turn to get
an extra edge over the other player. Most of the time it is with diet supplements or...

As the above describes Architecture, Features and some pros cons of the Android and

On the basis of performance if we compare the loading time between the iOS and
android mobile phones then we can say that an iOS takes less loading time as
compared to the loading time taken by the android . And therefore, due to the
several beneficial features of an iOS, it is more in demand. Since, iOS controls its
hardware the accessory maintenance is easy whereas the Google Android is a
simple platform that functions on different platforms and because of it is not easy
to support accessory here. Android has a drag and drop screen that alerts user in

A Summary of Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston The novel
Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston is a novel written in
flashback telling the story of a woman named Janie. It starts off by the main character
Janie returning to the town that she watched grow from the ground up. Instead of
the usual respect and praise she usually got before she left, she now is faced with
ridicule and judgment. The only one who sticks up for Janie is her closest friend
Phoeby. Phoeby does not partake in ridiculing Janie, but decides to pay her a visit
and speak with her old friend. Janie and her pal begin to speak and that s where the
story begins. Everything Janie ever knew was taught by her Nanny. Due to the fact
her mother ran off after being raped and giving birth to Janie her grandmother had no
choice but to raise her. Nanny provided anything Janie could need. She protected and
nurtured Janie so that she would have a better life than she or her mom did. Nanny
was so strict about this that when she noticed Janie blossoming into womanhood she

fter the end of the First World War
After the end of the First World War, Germany was perhaps the most financially
afflicted. Having been deemed the aggressors in World War One, the Germans were
forced, by the Treaty of Versailles, into a situation which left the country even further
ravaged that its contemporaries. Often it is argued that one of the only decent things
that could be attributed to Hitler was his fixing of the German economy, making it
into one of the world s most powerful prewar economies. The rebuilding of the
economy, in blatant disregard to the Treaty of Versailles is what led to Germany

Although the loss of territory had impacted Germany physically, and became
perhaps the driving force behind the Nazi imperialistic policies, it was perhaps the
least damaging restriction to the economy from the treaty, especially since many of
the areas were poor agricultural fringe areas who had a different ethnic culture to
that of the Germans. Another implication of the Treaty of Versailles was the
disarmament of the German forces, being cut down to a force of only one hundred
thousand men, and crippling the German military industry. As well the Allies were
to occupy the left bank of the Rhine River, a site of industry for the Germany
military. Perhaps the most damaging to the German economy were the reparations
which the Allies forced upon Germany. The Allies demanded that Germany repay
most, if not all of the $150.5 billion that they calculated the war cost. There were
other significant features of the treaty designed to make Germany unable to compete
on the international market such as not being allowed to impose tariffs on the Allied
goods until 1925, and the transfer of German patents to the Allied forces. After the
war the Germany economy had been crippled, and was slow to recover. Essentially
recovery came when the restrictions on Germany had been ignored.
The period in which the National Socialist party took control of Germany, was just a
few years removed from the beginning of the great depression. The great depression

After the Blitzkrieg, development in the Valley became comparatively sporadic as the

Analysis Of Baba Ramdev s Indian Political And Social
Scene
Its been a decade since, a phenomenon called Baba Ramdev, arrived on the Indian
Political and Social scene, when all other Babas were minting big money by using
spiritualism in a self styled manner. Baba Ramdev did not fall in the traditional
category and took the Yoga as a brand to new level which probably his predecessors
were unable to take. During his rise, Baba Ramdev and PAL, have seen both sides
of the spectrum, from a glorious start to being targeted by the Pseudo Seculars but
Baba Ramdev has not limited his presence to Yoga and Spiritualism, but he has
extended it to Politics and the rise of PAL is now challenging India s consumer
space which is traditionally dominated by MNCs such as Colgate, Hindustan
Unilever Limited, P G, and certain large Indian corporate such as Dabur, Godrej,
Emami, etc. In 1997, Patanjali Ayurved Limited (PAL) started as a small pharmacy
in Haridwar which has grown into a huge consumer sector conglomerate today and
is poised to be further bigger. In fact, the rise of PAL is being so staggering and well
entrenched in consumer psyche that large Indian and Foreign Research houses are
considering this pretty much a Disruption Factor in the overall consumer sector. In
Aug 2015 CLSA came out with a report titled Wish you were listed, Patanjali Ayurved

Understanding Cultural Differences Between The World
And...
Introduction: There are around 196 countries in the world and the cultures and values
differ between the different countries. There are still similarities in some of the
culture traits. In today s world people are more willing to engage in global business
and for this reason they need to be able to adapt to the different cultures. As the
cultures vary from country to country, people around the world may face many
difficulties during their communication. Many businesses have failed due to the fact
that they failed to fully assess the market they were entering in. The paper will
portray three different approaches that will aid in understanding cultural differences
that can be utilized as effective tools in conducting global business. These approaches
are known as the context approach, the cluster approach and the dimension approach.
1. Context Approach: This is one of the three main approaches to understand cultural
differences. Context approach is considered as the most straightforward as it relies on
a single dimension. In addition, there are two parts of the context approach, known
as: (i) High context cultures and (ii) Low context cultures. The two types of contexts
have different cultures, values, norms, and ways of thinking. In low context cultures
such as North American and Western European countries, communication usually
takes place at face value whereas, in high context cultures such as Asian and African
countries, communication relies upon unspoken condition. They

There are different types of lodgings to cater to the different tourist groups. These
range from youth hostels to boutique hotels and high end hotels, with numerous
options in between as well. The most sought after lodgings among these are the
Paradors , which are usually hotels run by the government and some of which are
at the higher end of the spectrum when it comes down to pricing. These Paradors
are usually located in heritage sites or historic buildings and give visitors an
authentic feel during their stay. Most of these are fairly reasonable in terms of
pricing taking into account the high quality amenities and facilities that they have to

traditional cuisine and delicacies. There are about 90 of these Paradors in Spain and
together they offer a total of more than 10000 rooms. Apart from these, Spain also

distinctive accommodation facilities which have an element of tradition associated
with them and these are mostly found in the rural areas and are refurbished buildings.

executive, Mike Andres, to take the helm of the domestic business another sign that
the company is trying to revive its fortunes at home.

Improving Patient Satisfaction Patients
Patient satisfaction has been considered as when patients feel that their needs and
expectations are being met by the services provided. Some of the important factors
which are strongly effective, are included: availability of out of hours care, doctor s
style, care delivery and continuity of care. All of these happen when there is a good
communication between doctors and their patients. Clear understanding of the
patients concerns as well as an accurate clinical diagnosis. Doctor and patient s
relationship always has described as cornerstone of general practice. If there is trust
between the patients and them, patients are more likely to connect to the
recommended treatment. Continuity of care provided by the same doctor most of the

For instance, 36:40 37:58 Mrs. Robinson and Benjamin are having an emotional
conversation. This scene is over a minute long without any cuts made. That created
the scene and conversation to be very boring because we are not shown any of the
emotion on the characters faces. If there were cuts throughout the conversation, the
scene would have been made much more interesting and would have drew in the
audience more. Throughout the movie some of the cuts during scenes were actually
pauses. Many transitions were just a few seconds of black screen leaving the
audience sitting there with nothing to look at. On the flip side there were some good
transitions done by using fading. For example, when Benjamin is in the pool they
show him laying and fade that to him with Mrs. Robinson right on top of the other
scene. Another good transition they would do to make the scene more interesting was
focusing in and out on certain characters. This effect added emotion with a smooth
A Brieg Biography of William McKinley
William McKinley was our 25th great president. He did many wonderful things such
as leading America to victory in war with Spain. Some of his other concerns while in
office include: domestic affairs, tariff legislation, race relations, trust regulation, and
foreign affairs. He had a good life and served as an amazing president during his time
in the Whitehouse until his assassination.
McKinley was born on January 29, 1843 in Niles, Ohio. He was the seventh child to
his father, William McKinleyand his mother, Nancy Campbell Allison McKinley.
As a boy, McKinley attended a one room schoolhouse in his hometown until the
age of nine. At that time McKinley and his family moved to Poland, Ohio (which
was nearby) so that the children could attend a private school. At age 16 he
attended Allegheny Collage in Meadville, Pennsylvania where he studied for one
term before he had to leave due to sickness and some financial issues he was facing.
After recovering he enlisted as a private in the Civil War. McKinley joined the 23rd
Ohio Volunteer Infantry at age 18 and was promoted to commissary sergeant at 19.
He later became a Second Lieutenant because of his acts of bravery on the battlefield.
This would only be the start to his success.
McKinley won a seat in Congress in the House of Representatives in 1876 when he
was 34 years old. He began wearing a red carnation after he noticed his opponent,
Levi Lamborn, was wearing one during a debate. This became a trademark of
McKinley s while
Indigenous Lifeways
Indigenous lifeways (especially those that have not been greatly influenced by
western society) offer important insight into the most basic human need to feel
connected to something greater. By investigating these lifeways we are better able to
understand human spirituality as a whole, and perhaps gain greater insight into our
own personal interpretations of reality. While it is difficult to make generalizations
on such a broad range of cultures as are described by the term indigenous, British
anthropologist Bronislaw Malinowski argued that people everywhere share certain
biological and psychological needs and that the ultimate function... Show more

These shared values are integrated into indigenous peoples everyday life in such a
way that everyday activities are, essentially, prayer. These prayerful acts or rituals
are seen as necessary to maintain the balance between this world and the spirit
world . Daily prayer rituals when practiced with specific objects, are believed to
imbue energy into the object. Traditional healers and shamans may use these ritual
objects as a totem of the connection to the ancestors or spirit worlds. This is not
unlike the reverence that many Americans have for their grandmothers recipe books
or cast iron pan. Many years of preparing loving meals for family and friends
condition the pan, imbuing it with love. Traditional healers or shamans , acting as
community leaders, help to initiate and restore unity and balance within the
individual, the spirit, as well as the
On The Origin Of Species Analysis
There are many sensitive topics that humans chose not to discuss with each other.
One topic in particular is if there truly is a God. Many people talk there way out of
this conversation for one main reason, insecurity. People become insecure about
the topic of God because they are scared to face the world as if there isn t one. To put
this into perspective, you get people such as Dorothy Day, who expresses her
beliefs in her passage, Poverty in the Face of Christ, that the world is meant to be
equal and live for, and around God. Then you get people like Charles Darwin, who
writes about his belief in his passage, On the Origin of Species, that life is revolved
around science rather than a God. While both sides can easily plead their case,...

Day believes that we can exist in relation to the Triune God due to the belief that
God is real, and the fact that she grew up in a time where peace was a common
theme. However, in modern day this simply doesn t work. The reason it doesn t
work is due to equality not being achievable, and the fact God may not even exist.
Living in a world full of capitalism and competition, people aren t willing to accept
being equal. And as Hume s proved, people learn through experience, not by innate
ideas, thus contradicting the belief there is a God. This all leads to Darwin, that
we live in a world full of science. The universe was made by the Big Bang, we all
compete against each other through natural selection, and we fight to exist. Sorry
God, if you re truly out there, but society is moving into a new state of
A Well Dinner At The Family Table
A well prepared dinner at the family table was a staple of my childhood. Arriving
home from a long day at school, I could always expect my mother to soon make her
way to the kitchen to begin her, as she called it, second job. College life and all of its
responsibilities, however, have flipped my expectations of my day to day eating
experiences. Keeping a log of when and why I am eating has opened my eyes to the
reality of foodno longer being a priority in my life. I eat when I can afford the time
as other obligations take my focus. Food has also mostly lost its human qualities. I
now feel as if I am merely consuming to allow myself to continue functioning as
opposed to enjoying food for its quality or savoring a social aspect. The first thing I
immediately noticed from my food journal was the minimalistic nature of my diet. I
begin the average weekday by consuming something unimaginative, such as oatmeal
or a sandwich, before making my way to campus. After my classes, it is nearly three
in the afternoon when I attempt to contemplate what I will next have. This midday
mealusually consists, yet again, of something lackluster and repetitive. Many of these
meals are a basic sandwich or include a baked potato. Beyond that meal is a
guessing game as to when I will eat again. I try to push back eating as long as I can
so that I can accomplish as many responsibilities as possible. Only once hunger has
brought itself to the forefront of my consciousness will I then again
Satire In The Importance Of Being Earnest By Oscar Wilde
In The Importance of Being Earnest , satirical techniques are used to reveal many
aspects of social criticism made by Oscar Wilde. Class, education, gender,
marriage, and religion are all topics that Wilde mentions. The largest criticism
however, is on marriage, and how it is not taken seriously, and how people do not
love each other in them. Wilde uses the technique of reversal to portray how people
in marriages are dissatisfied with each other. When talking with jack, Algernon
expresses his opinion on marriage: Divorces are made in heaven. (Wilde, 30)
Algernon s comment shows he thinks when people are married, it s a burden.
Wilde uses reversal here and also puts a play on the words. Instead of a match made
in heaven , Divorces are made... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When talking to Algernon for the first time, Cecily thinks his name is Ernest.
When he asks if she would love him if his name was different, her response was : I
might respect you Ernest, I might admire your character, but I fear I should not be
able to give you my undivided attention. (Wilde, 76) Incongruity shows how
ridiculous Cecily s values are. If she is concerned about a name to determine if
someone is a good person to love, how could it possibly be a serious love?
Incongruity is also used later in that same conversation, when Algernon is leaving
and Cecily says, Considering that we have been engaged since February the 14th
and that I only met you today for the first time, I think it is rather hard that you
should leave me for so long a period as half an hour. (Wilde, 77) Cecily and
Algernon had been engaged for three months but they only met once. That tells a
story about how seriously they are taking their engagement and soon to be, marriage.
Which seems to be not so seriously, since one of them doesn t even know the others
real name when they meet. Although they do not seem to be serious about it,
Algernon and Cecily seem to be going through with the marriage, and when Lady
Bracknell finds out her nephews fiancГ© has a fortune of A hundred and thirty
thousand pounds! ,she thinks Miss Cardew seems to me a most attractive young
The Chair Of Reniseneb
On display in The Metropolitan Museum is the Chair of Reniseneb, which was
constructed in 1450 B.C. in Egypt during the New Kingdom period. The Chair of
Reniseneb is a wooden chair veneered with ebony, a heavy dark brown timber, and
ivory, a hard creamy white substance. The chair is made up of small pieces of wood
that is pieced together almost like a puzzle. Egyptian trees did not grow big or
thick, therefore big panels of wood needed to be imported which was very
expensive. Thus the Egyptian carpenters became really adapt in inlaid work made
from small pieces of variously colored wood or other materials. In Ancient Eygypt,
the higher ranked an individual was, the taller was the chair or furniture he sat on.
The Chair of Reniseneb belonged to the scribe Renyseneb, therefor the chair sits
higher on beaded blocks. The legs of the furniture were often carved in the form of
animal legs or the hind parts of some animal such as the lion. Therefore, the foot of
the Chair of Reniseneb is shaped as an animal paw and the legs of the chair are
shaped similar to an animals leg. Both the legs and the feet are veneered with
ebony, a heavy dark brown color. The Egyptians enjoyed having cushions which
were often were stuffed with dried leaves or goose down, creating a plush seat.
Therefore, the seat of the chair was restored to have a woven seat... Show more

Furthermore, even with the disadvantage of their lack of trees, the Egyptians found
a way around it to instead piecing together small pieces of wood. It goes to show
that while most other parts of the world were still in the Stone Age, the Egyptians
were way ahead of their time creating furnitures, building palaces, and writing on
papyrus. The Egyptians were great artists of their time and their furniture remains as
one of the few things that is left and that can be appreciated and

Causes Of World War 2 Essay.pdf

  • 1. Causes Of World War 2 Essay Crafting an essay on the causes of World War II is undeniably a challenging endeavor. Delving into the intricate web of historical events, political maneuvers, economic factors, and socio- cultural dynamics requires a meticulous examination of a vast array of sources. The complexity of the subject demands a comprehensive understanding of the geopolitical landscape of the time, as well as a nuanced grasp of the ideologies and conflicting interests that fueled the global conflict. Researching and synthesizing information from diverse perspectives is no small feat. The historian must navigate through primary documents, scholarly analyses, and eyewitness accounts to construct a coherent narrative that unveils the multifaceted origins of World War II. Analyzing the role of individual leaders, diplomatic miscalculations, and the interplay of alliances adds another layer of intricacy to the task. Moreover, one must critically assess the long-term and short-term causes, distinguishing between underlying tensions and immediate triggers that ignited the war. The essay's challenge lies not only in presenting a factual chronicle of events but also in providing insightful interpretations and connecting the dots between seemingly disparate elements. Crafting a thesis that encapsulates the complexities of the causes of World War II and substantiating it with compelling evidence demands intellectual rigor and analytical finesse. Moreover, the ethical dimension of discussing such a catastrophic event requires a delicate approach. Sensitivity towards the human suffering, moral dilemmas, and global consequences is imperative. Balancing objectivity with empathy is a tightrope walk that essayists on this topic must navigate with care. In conclusion, writing an essay on the causes of World War II is an intellectually demanding task that requires a deep dive into history, critical thinking skills, and a nuanced understanding of the complexities involved. It is a formidable challenge that necessitates diligence, thorough research, and a commitment to presenting a well-rounded perspective. Europe was prospering with good crop harvest, expanding population and a degree of economic stability in the Eurasian trade routes, brought about by the Mongol rule in the east. He wasn t the very first artist to come upon these ideals but he has given this mantle by Giorgio Vasari in his book written in 1550 titled The Lives of the artists . Vasari was contemporary to many famous Renaissance artists that we know about including Michelangelo. Giotto s Early work is seen in the freshness of the upper church of San Francisco in Assisi. It is possible that he worked on the upper church with his teacher Cimabue. Giotto took the expertise of his teacher and refined it into more naturalistic degree. This can be seen in Cimabue s Madonna Enthroned with Angels and Prophets and Giotto s Madonna Enthroned. Giotto s version had figures more rendered and there is a refining of the features, the drapery and the painting as a whole, you can see the light source coming from the single direction and illuminating the figures on each side. This helps create sense of space and believability. This same painting was also painted by another artist in Siena named Duccio. The more mature work of Giotto which made him the leader in the development of the western paining is the fresno s in the Arena Chapple. These painting were executed as Fresco, a method whereby moist plaster was applied only to an area of the painting that could be painted within that same day. It is possible that Giotto could have employed members of his workshop to help paint the less significant figures and details of the painting. This
  • 3. The Geographic Information System ( Gis ) Essay Today s society relies heavily on the use of computers and computerised information, so much so that we rarely notice when an activity or action involves the use of technology. Over the past 30 years, technology has continued to develop into extremely complex systems capable of processing large amounts of data. It is now possible to represent not only numbers and letters, but also images, sounds and maps (Bernhardsen, 2002, p. 1). A Geographic Information System(GIS) is a computer system or application designed to perform a variety of operations based on geographic information. GIS is a tool used by many organisations, businesses, schools, governments and individuals searching for innovative ways to solve problems (Evans, 2014). Geographic Information Systems allow users to map, model, analyse and query data all within a single database according to their location (Evans, 2014). Information about the world is stored as a collection of layers; these layers can be linked together by a common locational component such as zip codes, latitude and longitude or road name. These geographic references allow individuals to locate features for analysis of trends and patterns (Evans, 2014). Dozens of layers can be added and organised to display a wide array of information on many subjects. Computer based GIS systems have knowingly been used since the late 1960 s (Coppock Rhind, 1997). However, the history of GIS is relatively unrecorded, it is a field in which history is little

No movie before was made like Citizen Kane, and every movie made after was different because of it. Welles portrayal of Charles Foster Kane (Orson Welles) takes us on a journey through the life of a man overcome by greed and unconsciously fueled his need for love and security. We are shown the events of Kane s life through an investigation by reporter Jerry Thompson (William Alland), after Kane s death. The opening sentence states that Okonkwo was well known throughout the nine villages and even beyond (Achebe 3). Okonkwo is great and famous because of his solid personal achievements (Achebe 3). How does he achieve greatness and how is he defined by his culture? Okonkwo first achieved fame and recognition when he became the village s wrestling champion. In the Igbo culture, the locusts invade their territory and attempt to destroy the crops trying to be grown., along with the village s surrounding trees. The Igbo people eat the locusts, stopping the harm to their crops. After the British invaded, Okonkwo went to the Oracle and said the strange men would break their clan and spread destruction among them... they were locusts (Achebe 138 139) This remark shows how the destroying of the yams and breaking of the trees is in direct correlation with the British invasion. The effects of macroeconomic variable on equity returns are nonlinear and time variant. This characteristic makes the study of these effects difficult. I estimate a GARCH model of monthly returns of S P500, where realized returns and their volatility depend on 11 macro announcements. Introduction Investigating firm s key statistics such as sales, ROIC, and free cash flow may not be enough to evaluate the company s performance and future. Macroeconomic indicators seem like excellent candidates as proxies of latent economic state variables because they influence both changes in firms cash flows and the risk adjusted discount rate (Gosnell Nejadmalayeri, 2010). In fact, various economic indicators can strongly impact equity returns. However, it has been always difficult to establish this effect. Indeed, Chen, Roll, and Ross (1986) assessment of asset pricing is relevant today: A rather embarrassing gap exists between the theoretically exclusive importance of systematic state variables and our complete ignorance of their identity. The comovements of asset prices suggest the presence of underlying exogenous influences, but we have not yet determined

Through the ministry of the Word at Holy Trinity Church of Murree in Pakistan, I had a clear understanding of the saving grace provided by the suffering, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. I embraced that grace in my youth and began a lifelong spiritual journey. I was baptized as an infant but was confirmed as a teen ager which helped me reflect on my sinful nature and the pardoning and loving nature of God. My spiritual journey has been formed by a lifetime of Bible study and accountable small group fellowships. Through these disciplines I have learned to open myself to the nurture of the Holy Spiritand my fellow believers. In so doing I have been trained to live at peace with all people, to accept the differences in cultures, beliefs and personalities, to recognize the grace of God in people at all stages of spiritual maturity and to nurture the faith of others. A lesson of discipleship is to put off any behavior that may be a hindrance to the spiritual growth of those with whom I am in fellowship. As the Apostle Paul taught, I should not allow what is a freedom for me to become an obstacle to my fellow believers. By living to the best of my ability to this standard, I have the freedom to be in fellowship and ministry with both non Christians and Christians across the broad spectrum of the global Church. The property is a single family dwelling in West Keansburg. The tenant also claimed that the landlord failed to inspect the property or respond to any of the tenants requests for repairs. Both tenant and landlord agreed that at no time was the landlord aware that the step was loose and that the tenant never contacted the landlord about the steps prior to falling. The judge decided that disputing the terms of the oral lease in this case would not be productive or have any relevance on the actual facts of the case. Instead, the judge ruled that this case solely involved what a landlord s duty of care under the warranty of habitability would be for a single family property once the property was rented. It was noted that if there was a duty of care it would only apply if the landlord was put on notice that a repair was needed. In this case the tenant admitted he never informed the landlord about the step claiming he did not know it was an issue until he fell. Since the tenant failed to notify the landlord of this condition the judge ruled that the landlord would not be responsible or in breach of his duties since proper notice was not received by the tenant. If genes were entirely what made up a person, than abortion would not be acceptable, but that is not the case. In very early stages of a pregnancy, Buddhists don t think of the fetus as a person yet. I am a Japanese Buddhist. Where I m from, Buddhism is a little bit different. A lot of Buddhists consider abortion a moral crime, but in Buddhist metaphysics, the life force comes from an existence which is fluid like water and returns to that existence. The fetus is understood to be in a stage of becoming a discrete thing passing out of the ancient waters. Life that appears in our world or in a woman s uterus is the formation of a being that was before in the liquid like state of another reality. Children are liquid and only gradually solidify into humans, this process not being realized until after birth. Accordingly, the newborn gradually make the transition from the world of the gods and Buddhas into that of human beings. Although the loss of territory had impacted Germany physically, and became perhaps the driving force behind the Nazi imperialistic policies, it was perhaps the least damaging restriction to the economy from the treaty, especially since many of the areas were poor agricultural fringe areas who had a different ethnic culture to that of the Germans. Another implication of the Treaty of Versailles was the disarmament of the German forces, being cut down to a force of only one hundred thousand men, and crippling the German military industry. As well the Allies were to occupy the left bank of the Rhine River, a site of industry for the Germany military. Perhaps the most damaging to the German economy were the reparations which the Allies forced upon Germany. The Allies demanded that Germany repay most, if not all of the $150.5 billion that they calculated the war cost. There were other significant features of the treaty designed to make Germany unable to compete on the international market such as not being allowed to impose tariffs on the Allied goods until 1925, and the transfer of German patents to the Allied forces. After the war the Germany economy had been crippled, and was slow to recover. Essentially recovery came when the restrictions on Germany had been ignored. Many people talk there way out of this conversation for one main reason, insecurity. People become insecure about the topic of God because they are scared to face the world as if there isn t one. To put this into perspective, you get people such as Dorothy Day, who expresses her beliefs in her passage, Poverty in the Face of Christ, that the world is meant to be equal and live for, and around God. Then you get people like Charles Darwin, who writes about his belief in his passage, On the Origin of Species, that life is revolved around science rather than a God. Day believes that we can exist in relation to the Triune God due to the belief that God is real, and the fact that she grew up in a time where peace was a common theme. However, in modern day this simply doesn t work. The reason it doesn t work is due to equality not being achievable, and the fact God may not even exist. Living in a world full of capitalism and competition, people aren t willing to accept being equal. And as Hume s proved, people learn through experience, not by innate ideas, thus contradicting the belief there is a God. This all leads to Darwin, that we live in a world full of science.
