There is perhaps nothing as terrifying as realizing that your dark suspicions about
someone ended up being correct. Actually, something more terrifying is having that
horrible realization and having no method of escape. Charles Perrault s Bluebeard is a
story of intuition and feminine curiosity, but the tale can also be read through a
feminist lens and taken as an examination of the oppressive attitude and potential

Colonial America is separated into three groups, New England, Middle Colonies,
and the South. New England consisted of New Hampshire, Massachusetts,
Connecticut, and Rhode Island. Its colder than the other colonies, and made up of
mountains, and rivers. The cold weather had a great effect on how houses in the
New England colonies were built. The houses were normally plain rectangle 2
story houses, with a basement. The second story normally jutted out over the first
floor, which kept the snow from piling up outside the door, which could have
prevented the inhabitants from being able to leave their house. The basements
were cold, and they colonists kept food located there. The fireplace was built in the
middle of the house on both the first and second floors, which helped heat up the

Berry Gordy changed the barrier between white and black americans and their music.
Before Gordy come along to change the standards of american culture whites and
blacks had different labels and music. Motown Records is the first record label to

I read the short story Cathedral by Raymond Carver. This story describes the first
time meeting between a blind man and a sighted man. Robert, who is blind, is
visiting for a few days with his long time friend who is the wife and her husband is
only referred to as Bub. The wife and Bub are both sighted.
When the wife ended her employment with Robert over ten years ago, Robert asked
if he could touch her face before she left. Robert and the wife stayed in touch even
after she left her old job by communicating with audio tape over the past ten years.
The wife has just picked up Robert at the train station and brought him to her home.
