Essay About Pollution
Writing an essay on the topic of pollution can be a challenging task due to the vast scope and
complexity of the subject matter. Pollution encompasses a wide range of environmental issues,
including air pollution, water pollution, soil contamination, noise pollution, and more. The
difficulty lies in addressing these diverse aspects cohesively while providing a comprehensive
overview.
Researching and gathering relevant information on each type of pollution requires a considerable
amount of time and effort. The writer needs to delve into scientific studies, environmental
reports, and policy documents to obtain accurate and up-to-date data. Understanding the causes,
effects, and potential solutions for each form of pollution adds an additional layer of complexity.
Crafting a well-structured essay that effectively communicates the severity of pollution, its
impact on ecosystems and human health, and the urgency for collective action demands a
nuanced approach. Balancing statistical data, real-life examples, and expert opinions is crucial to
creating a persuasive and informative piece.
Moreover, addressing the essay prompt while maintaining a unique and engaging perspective can
be challenging. The writer must present the information in a way that captivates the reader's
attention, making them aware of the gravity of the issue without overwhelming them with doom
and gloom.
In conclusion, writing an essay about pollution requires extensive research, a deep understanding
of various environmental issues, and the ability to present the information coherently and
persuasively. It is a challenging task that demands dedication and a commitment to raising
awareness about the critical importance of tackling pollution for the well-being of our planet.

Essay On Social Media And Technology
In recent discussions of technology, a controversial issue whether the social media
provide a net good for the society has raised wide concern. Social media, as a kind
of new technology, has developed so fast and affected our society in various
aspects, such as the way of communication and self assessment. On the one hand,
some argue that social media is good for the society because it makes our life more
convenient and provide us a new way to know the world. That is true to some
extent. For example, we can see our families or friends who are far from us via
social media, such as Facebook. From this perspective, social media is good for the
society because it helps us keep the relationship with others, especially people with
the long distance. Also, there is much fresh news and information related to different
fields on social media. People can get much new information from the feed on social
media. On the other hand, however, others argue that social media is influencing
people negatively. There is an increasing number of individuals, especially the
younger generation, being addicted to social media. One of this view s main
proponents argues, technology addictionis labeled, when the use is beyond the
control and causing harm or impairment. This is a serious problem so we have to
think about the solutions to it. According to this view, people s health, especially the
mental health is under threat. People who are addicted to technology have to check

Christian Elements In Beowulf
The intermingling of Christian ideas and classical rhetoric has set the foundation for
many centuries of literature works. The overlap of elements appeals to readers who
are accustomed to Biblical language while simultaneously engaging with their
imaginative experience of a secular world, an expression that is observed in the epic
poem Beowulf. Commonly cited as one of the most important works of Old English
literature, the poem provides valuable insight into a culture that resembles our own
societal challenges while simultaneously remaining distant from the present day
world. This analytical essay will focus on the strategic use of words and phrases and
how the poets emphasis on religious association invokes the answers to many central
human perplexities. Through its use of repetitive elements and various motifs within
Christian and pagan values, the poet builds on the many elements within virtuous
philosophy. Although many analytical dissertations interpret the influence that
Beowulf s diction has on Christian ideals, it is critical to examine how the poem s
religious expression affects its pagan characters. Many literary works incorporate
stock elements to continuously keep their readers engaged in the purpose of its
context. These elements are distinct analogous words or phrases that are chosen to
convey the rhetorical device. The author of Beowulf repeatedly acknowledged God
as an all mighty figure that overshadows the lives of both its readers and the

Mythological Gender Profiling and the Women of Greece
In the myths of the Centauromachy and the Amazonomachy, the Greeks found a
manuscript for moral and disciplinary guidance in their dealings with the women of
the time. By assigning the women of Greece hybris, Greek men targeted the women
of Greece to intense programs of subjugation and social retribution in order to
prevent the emergence of Centaurian or Amazonian traits, which would destroy the
patriarchal nature of Archaic Greek culture. Generally, Greek myths tend to
exemplify gender profiling as a way to polarize the sexes in order to maintain a stable
and workable patriarchy. This is evidenced in the Centauromachy and
Amazonomachy, which identify undesirable and inherent ... Show more content on

Greeks were absolutely concerned with the values of social custom and social
order. The idea of moira, the station a person or group is assigned to in life was a
staple belief and the backbone of Greek culture. Throughout Castriota s text, there
are comparisons that allude to a relationship between the Greek s views of the
Centaurian s hybris and the qualities possessed by the women of Hellenistic culture.
This comparison will become important in analyzing the usefulness of the myth as a
means for gender profiling and societal management. Closely related to the hybris of
the Centaurs, are the qualities associated with the young women of the time. By
relating the female gender to the Centauromachy, Greeks identified women as a
societal weakness. Castriota states three times, that male characters referred to the
rising of the women as hybris. Clearly, the Greeks have given women equine
characteristics. According to Castriota, young women were called polos, young
mare or filly . The mere implication that women, as a gender, contained in them the
wildness and hybris of the horse was closely reflected in the myth of the
Centauromachy. This is a form of gender profiling, which placed women in a position
of weakness as to their potential contribution to Greek society.
This weakness, as in a military regime, would have to be monitored and controlled
tightly in order to minimize damage done to contemporary Greek society. The

Araby Character Analysis
The story Araby takes place in the winter, the end of North Richmond St. The main
character in the narrator, a boy who is infatuated with his friend s sister. He has
created a routine that will allow him to see her and follow her to school everyday.
Everything would be amazing if he had the courage to talk to her, but he never has.
One day however, the girl takes interest in him, asking if he will attend Araby, in
the bazaar. The boy responds he will. In fact, he will purchase something for her
due to the circumstance that she will not be able to attend. As days passed the boy
can t wait till the day arrives and to attend the bazaar, which turns out a problem
because the idea intervenes with his school work. Finally the day arrives, but his uncle
is late, despite the fact that the boy reminded him to be early. The uncle is grumpy
and perhaps drunk. He tells the child it is too late now to go out, but his wife
convinces him to let the boy go. When he is at the bazaar, a young woman asks
him if he would like to purchase something. He shakes his head and the lights go off
hinting the narrator is time to go home. The main character the narrator is the center
of the story. What could have been a happy ending ends up being a tragic realization
and change of attitude towards the world. The narrator undergoes major changes
through out the story. At the beginning he has a fantasy in his head about Mangan s
sister, his love interest. In a way she represent a way out of his sad
Discipline In Home Life In Ian, Trina, And Juvenile Crimes
Discipline is defined as, the practice of training people to obey rules or a code of
behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience. Children s actions and behavior
are all based on how disciplined they are in their home life. Without discipline, I think
maturity is expected to not come as early in age as it would for someone who is
taught the differences between right and wrong during their childhood years. When
children are maturing, they need to have support and discipline from their guardians
to succeed and become good independent adults without getting into trouble with the
law. In chapter 8, Stevenson introduces us to Ian, Trina, and Antonio. All three of
these characters were sent to juvenile prisonfor various crimes they had committed.
Each of their stories had one thing in common, neglect.
Parents are primarily responsible for meeting their children s needs. However, there
are usually multiple and interacting contributors to parenting and to neglect (Howard
Dubowitz). In chapter 8, all of the characters faced traumatic home life
circumstances. They each faced abandonment at such a young age. They were
abused and neglected by their own parents. This set bad examples for each of these
kids at such a young age. This made all three of them run into problems with the
American Justice System because of individual juvenile crimes they each had made.
Ian, Trina, and Antonio were all three convicted of different crimes but in my
opinion, they all link back to one
A Streetcar Named Desire Character Analysis
Tennessee Williams was one of the most successful playwright at his time. In one of
his play, which earned him the Pulitzer Prize as well as many other awards A
Streetcar Named Desire takes place in New Orleans during the mid 1940s. This
incredible play explores numerous of important themes and conflict between the
characters. The story takes us to the lives of three main characters, Blanche DuBois,
Stanley Kowalski, and Stella Kowalski, who have different ways of living and
managing with their environment in which they live in. The story start off with
Blanche, who comes to visit her sister, Stella, but end up in an unexpected
situations. From the time Blanche got to Elysium Fields, she and Stanley are
constantly scolding each other because Stanley and Blanche wants Stella to be on
their side and neither one of them will give her up. They will not let this through, if
one of them is to win and other leaving defeated. However, Stanley and Blanche
represent something else bigger, not just two dissension characters. They are strongly
portrayed as polar opposites when they are first introduced in the play. The difference
between the two characters is shown through their appearance, since Blanche is
portrayed as a delicate moth while Stanley is portrayed as animalistic. Blanche
represent the image of the old south because of the way she expressing things, worth,
and lifestyle, while Stanley represent the new south, as being dominant, aggressive,
and sexual. Moreover, Blanche
Ethical Dilemma And Moral Dilemma

3:30 PM Part 1 Ethical/Moral Dilemma: Defination Ethical dilemma or moral
dilemma is a scenario in which a person has to make choices/decisions depending
on the situation or by keeping the net happiness in his mind. He also thinks about
the consequences of the decision he will make. In this scenario, I will be
describing an ethical dilemma that I faced when I worked with an IT firm. My
team leader was stealing from the company. He used to steal the network cable and
other networking tools from the company storage unit. I started to dig this matter
and I came to know that after stealing, he was selling that tools into local market. It
was his side business and he was earning pretty good. But one day, there was a
surprise inventory check conducted by our manager. In that report a huge amount
of losses were there. So a notice was issued to all employee regarding the inside
stealing and we were asked to give the other person name and our name would be
not disclosed. At that point of time I faced an ethical dilemma, whether to give the
name of my team leader with a fear of losing my job or whether to keep quiet and
let him steal more stuff till no one catches him. Part 2 Philosophical model: To solve
my ethical dilemma, I will be using Deontology as my philosophical model.
Deontology is a Greek word originated from Deon meaning obligation/morality or

St Anthony Research Paper
St Anthony was an Egyptian saint born in 251. He was born into a Christian family
who were very faithful and pious. Anthony grew up to be a respectful child, and he
was taught to be very obedient to his parents. As a child, Anthony was raised in the
Christian faith and was brought to church. He created a strong bond with God and
this caused Anthony to be very devout and faithful. These qualities lead St Anthony
to be a faithful person (Orthodox Church in America). St Anthony was a very

Because of this, St Anthony is often called the Father of Monasticism ( St Anthony of

Analysis Of The Nymph s Reply To The Shepherd
No matter how much you ve tried and no matter how long you ve waited for the
one you love because if you really love that person you re willing to wait for him
/her no matter what happened. In the shepherd s desperation, he resorts to
materialism as he believes this is the only way his love will be returned. However,
the nymph in The Nymph s Reply to the Shepherd is not so easily seduced by such
attractive images, pointing out that flowers do fade and all of the things the shepherd
promises Soon break, soon wither, soon forgotten.
From the very beginning it is written whole heartedly by Christopher Marlowe, deep
words were the ones to show the impact of love in this life. Love your life that gives
the perfection. It gives me an impression of having the good side or the brighter
feeling of being loved. It makes me happy to read this kind of poem while
conceptualizing the essence of having myself in the situation of the author. The
author show his full respect to his loved one and I felt so in love with the way how
did the author dedicate his love only for his loved one. Having this kind of poem in
my mind makes me feel the right things to do and to think while being in love with a
person. The reply of Sir Walter Raleighto Christopher Marlowe s poem is very
entertaining because of the conviction that Sir Walter Raleigh s reply is a total
rejection to each and every word that Marlowe has been written. However, I feel sad
for that part of the confession because being

White drivers were stopped only 10 percent. The disparity will be greater if black
drivers were stopped more frequently than white drivers. There are other disparities
such as searches, tickets, arrests and license suspensions. This research also

black and Hispanic drivers. An NBC report based on the Bureau of Justice

insignificant declines compared with the 2002 report in the percentages of blacks

whites 2.1 percent to be arrested. Hispanic drivers were arrested 3.1 percent of the

Ethical Principles In Nursing
Ethical principles has always been is an essential element in the professional conduct
of behavior for the healthcare practitioners. It shows how one s commitment is to act
in extreme circumstances in regards to moral and how to deal with the choices that
we make and action related to it. (Avasthi, A., Ghosh, A., Sarkar, S., Grover, S. 2013).
The nurse is most of the time that acts as an advocate and resource to the patient. As
part of the nursing world and as the practitioner for this patient an ethical decision
process is needed in this situation. As the medical provider for the 15 year old teen

is a ran away, contacting the parents may suffice. As calling the police, might do
harm with my patient , as she can be scared and it can also be a traumatic
experience for her. I would also let the team know, to have the police and the patient s
mother to be in another room and I would talk to the patient and the mother separately.
My patient has the right to receive fairness in all the medical decisions for herself
and her baby. And being a runaway is not an exception. I would be fair and use
justice in regards to the mother and my patient. I will also find out the reason on why
she would run away.
As a nurse practitioner, I would promote, advocate and make an effort for my patient
s rights and safety. (Bhanji, S. 2013). Situations like these, needs critical analysis of
the risks and benefits with choosing the best option, that each of the healthcare
professional will make. The consequences that can happen should be taken into

her baby should always be the best
Descriptive vs Normative Statements
Question 1 To explain the distinction between Descriptive and Normative Statements
one first has to understand the difference between Descriptive and Normative Ethics.
Descriptive ethics primarily describes people s moral beliefs, claims and behaviors.
This form of ethics is studied primarily by psychologist, sociologist and
anthropologist. With Normative ethicswe deal with the attempt to discover what
actions are in fact right or wrong, good or bad and what it takes to be a moral or
immoral person. This area of ethics is studied more by philosophers and theologist. To
simplify, Descriptive statements are statements about what is; while Normative
statements are statements about what ought to be.
When we describe what people believe ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, one definition is that laws are a system of rules and guidelines which are
enforced through social institutions to govern behavior. By this definition we can

institutions to govern behavior . We see that the words social institutions are used. A

countless animals and learns many life lessons from beings of the same, or
different species. However, he also gains knowledge from the people around him
as well. These outside influences from people and animals play a role in shaping
Wart into the king he becomes. In the first few chapters, Wart is introduced as an
adopted son and brother to Sir Ector and Kay, respectively. Kay is the proper son
and he points this out to Wart as often as possible. This is mainly because Kay is

immediately before greeting this monstrosity, Wart describes the qualities of Mr. P.
He had been ravaged by all the passions of an absolute monarch by cruelty, sorrow,
age, pride, selfish ness, loneliness and thoughts too strong for individual brains

collarbone, he asks Merlyn to transform him into an ant, so he can interact with the
ants from Merlyn s formicarium. When he is brought into this world, he notices the
ants do not stop working, and they know only two things, done and not done. Wart
also learns that the ants do not have names, just numbers that describe which ant
they are and what job they are assigned. Wart s job is to deliver food to other ants,
and the only way to do this is to ingest a small amount into his stomach, and when an

Elder abuse Essay
Elder Abuse Elder abuse has been present in our society in the past times; however,
it has been the hidden problem and under recognized by our community. It is really
challenging for people to understand the severity of this problem unless one
encountered it in one s life. Society began to really acknowledge this issue because
of the cases that have been reported. There are varieties of categories of elder abuse
that are reportable to a healthcare provider; however, many cases are still left
unreported and elder victims continue to suffer from mistreatment. The seniors that
surround us have contributed to our community and to the great things that we now
have. These people should be recognized and protected in all areas of life instead...

These people depending on their health have a decision making capacity and
rationality to make the choices regarding their care. Nonmalificence is an ethical
principle of doing no harm. Negligence or failing to act by the health provides
could be considered harmful to the elders. This could be seen as direct harm in
health care facilities or a fear to report an elder abuse to the social worker (ANA,
2010). It is important to examine all ethical aspects in healthcare to set appropriate
ethical behavior in the health setting among professionals to provide the treatment
that each individual deserves. When a resident becomes admitted to the skilled
nursing facility, the organization promises them the best possible care. The staff is
required to maintain the highest level of physical and mental well being. The idea
behind nursing homes is to sustain physical health and provide treatments. Nurses
are supposed to create accommodation to meet the resident s reasonable needs. For
example, if a resident refuses a shower but prefers the bath, it is important to
understand his or her needs to ease anxiety and stress. Most of the elderly
experience loneliness and helplessness. Nurses violate the standards of practice by
mistreating their residents. The need of care is universal regardless of the age and
gender. The nurse should deliver care to patients with respect (ANA, 2010).
Unfortunately, there are many cases in the
Pythagoras And Ancient Athenian Culture
Pythagoras and Ancient Athenian Culture
The ancient Greeks did not always possess the deeply creative and accepting culture
imagined by society today. They started off as very ritualistic and stubbornly
polytheistic, rejecting those who denied the gods and ostracising people who seemed
unpious. While some of these traits never disappeared, others became more like the
Greeks we recognize today starting in the fifth century BCE. It was around this time
that Pythagoras lived and taught. Today we remember him as the founder of much of
modern mathematics, but at the time he was also the founder of a religious and
philosophical sect that carried on for centuries after his death. It can be argued that
his teachings, with their mix of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Pythagoras was not only a mathematician; in fact it is sometimes doubted whether
the math we attribute to him was actually his own work or simply reprocessing of
the work of others. He was instead generally seen as a religious figure and was the
leader of what is sometimes referred to as a cult. He was described as part
philosopher, part priest, and part conjuror and had a lot of bearing in both the
religious and scientific views of his time. He believed that religion and science were
indeed one and the same, with math serving as a pathway for discovering the
workings of the universe. This belief was controversial, and many philosophers
referred to Pythagoras sarcastically, but it was a belief that would continue onward
throughout Greek history in the minds of other philosophers, such as Aristotle. It was
the basis for the interest in mathematics and astronomy, because he taught that by
learning the movement of the heavenly bodies, or planets, humans would be able to
find the formula for all movement in the universe and predict future events.
His belief in the immortality of the soul also persevered into the new intellectual shift.
It was based on the traditional myth of Hades, the land of the dead, but put forth
further logical conclusions.
A Modest-Looking House
Quiet and unassuming, a modest looking house lies in the middle of a vast, empty

from the forceful influences of conformity, but still in touch with the surrounding

metaphor for my memories, ambitions, secrets, feelings, and emotions. This house is

is distinguishable from its environment. But the true beauty of my unique house can
only be seen on the inside, which contains numerous rooms, corridors,
Chad Research Paper
Chad is made up of over 140 different ethnic groups, whose diets are as diverse as
their cultural traditions. The Arabs of northern Chad who are nomadic or live in the
capital of N Djamena eat staples of dairy and meat, while groups in the agricultural
south have a plant based diet. However, there are certain national dishes that all
Chadians share.
Grains
A thick grain porridge called boule is a common dish throughout Chad. The grain
used in the north is generally maize; in the south, millet is the primary grain
consumed. Boule can also be made of peanuts, cassava or sorghum, depending on
which crop is grown locally. The porridge is rolled into a ball and served with any
number of different sauces, made of dried fish, meat or vegetables. Crops such as
potatoes, rice and sesame are more common in the agricultural south. A sweetened
peanut and millet porridge flavored with lemon is known as bouillie. A typical

They are often dried, and Chadians cook them into numerous different sauces to
flavor their food. Garlic, okra and dried pimento are other flavorings found in nearly
ever dish. Dates, guava and mangoes also grow in various parts of Chad.
Meat
Goats are the most commonly raised animals in Chad; their meat is frequently
eaten and incorporated into meals. When beef is used, it is chopped and made into
a tomato sauce dish called nashif. For special occasions, Southern Chadians prepare
tan oul (long sauce) out of meat, dried fish or beans. Due to their cost, meat and fish
are often dried; they re preserved for later use, especially in the south.
Dairy and other Protein
Milk from cows and goats forms a staple of the diet of the nomads of Northern Chad.
Clarified butters and yogurts are sweetened and spiced with cardamom; they come in
all varieties. Southern Chadians consume very little dairy. They supplement their
protein with peanuts and dried fish.

This proposal is on the career of radiographic technicians.
I have chosen this topic to research because it is the field I am wanting to pursue. I
have a need to help people so going for a career in the medical field is perfect for
me. No matter what specific imaging technology a radiologic technologist works
with, a sharp eye for detail, the ability to follow detailed instructions and a passion
for helping people is very important for success, states one career website in regards

The Bet By Anton Chekhov
A short story s purpose is to introduce an idea or moral to the reader. In many cases
the reader can understand the thesis, but there will be times where the reader is
uncertain. The reason for this is because the short story s moral is profound
ironically. Ultimately the reader is able to relate to him or herself in the short story
various ways. Likewise the use of irony in, The Bet by Anton Chekhov, illustrates the
characters and their opposing speculations that demonstrate the importance of human
life and confinement. Relating to the thesis of the short story, there are three main
points that irony plays a key role on. To begin with, there are the two main character s
roles that guide the reader though both perspectives of their conflicts. There are also
main points in their dialect and involvement that Chekhov used to help the reader
understand the character s ironic speculations.
The characters from the short story, through the flashback of the banker, show his
most successful years and the young lawyer both in a dilemma. Eventually the
dilemma came in conclusion to Fifteen? Done! cried the banker. Gentlemen, I stake
two millions! (Chekhov, Anton). This seems usual for a bet with the lawyer and the
banker. The average individual, when thinking of a banker, presume that they are
people that save money and not put it in risk of it all token away. Likewise in The
Bet, within the fifteen years, the banker was Desperate and started gambling on the

My Strength and Weakness in Composition Writing Class
This semester I learned many new things in my English 1301 class. I took this
class last year but I had to drop it because I didn t have a professor explaining the
work to me. And I really didn t understand what I was doing. At first, I was scared
to take this class. During my high school years I wasn t that good of a writer. I
thought this composition class was going to be hard since I sometimes thought it was
hard in high school. My writingexperience was good and sometimes bad. This
semester in the composition class I had many writing strengths and weaknesses.
These strengths and weaknesses is what helped me learn the errors I was making
while writing essays this semester. My first writing weakness was deciding what to
write about. I... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I was really happy that I didn t have trouble filling up those pages. This contributed to
my essay writing because it showed me that if I don t give and try my best I will be
able to do it. It also showed me to always think positive, if I m always thinking of
negative stuff I won t be able to set my mind free and try my best in the stuff I do.
Another strength I had was finding the symbols in the short story ВЁThe
LotteryВЁ. When I first read it I didn t find any symbols. After Mrs. Philpott gave
us the lesson on symbolism in literature I found many symbols. I also saw how
those symbols give the readers clues so we could get a clue of how the ending is. I
won t forget about this lesson and when I read books I m going to pay close
attention to the words. If I pay attention to that maybe I will get a taste of how the
ending is going to be. This was one of the lesson I enjoyed the most. This
contributed because this is something I m going to know for the rest of my life.
The third writing strength I had was that I didn t have trouble with the quotes. We
had a lesson over how we had to add the quotes on the essay. That lesson helped my
mind refresh from what I had learned during high school. I wasn t completely lost
on this, but had to pay attention. I was a little scared because it said that if I
plagiarized I would get a zero and possibly fail the semester. I personally think that
we the writers don t really try to plagiarize. The only thing
The Jury System Should Be Scrapped For Criminal Trials
THE JURY SYSTEM SHOULD BE SCRAPPED FOR CRIMINAL TRIALS IN
NSW
Through various analytical investigations and research, it can be proposed the jury
system should be scraped for criminal trials in NSW . As jurors are incapable of
apprehensively comprehending evidence and are vulnerable to being biased by their
personal prejudices and excessive media publicity. Correspondingly, many fall victim
of escaping trials due to their elongated processes. Conversely, many dispute in
contradiction suggesting juries reflect democratic regimes and ensure the most
appropriate verdict is reached as they contemplate on society s ethics, morals and
values often absent in judge alone trials.
Firstly, the role of the jury is too listen to the evidence ... Show more content on

The concept of the accused being assessed by their peers is very appropriate as
they judge merely based on the morals and principles of the society making the law
more valid and binding. Whereas, leaving the judgment to someone who doesn t
necessarily live in the real world (Love, 2014) may not be so appropriate. Also the
danger of getting rid of jury trials is that there will be a perception that someone
who is an elite judge is going to be deciding matter, someone that may be in touch
with the ordinary community (Harvey 2011). Hence, the jury system ensures the
communities ethics, values and morals are implied and safeguards the law is applied
in a way that fits in with what the society expects (Love 2014).
In opposition, many suggest juries should be scrapped for criminal trials in NSW
as jurors are often vulnerable of being swayed by excessive media publicity. This is
most prevalent in high profile cases, where it is extremely if not impossible to find
jurors who haven t already read about circumstances surrounding it in the media and
formed their own opinions about the matter (Nedium, 2015). One such case which
strengthens this argument is R v Gittany [NSWSC 138] where the defendant was
charged for murder of Lisa Cecilia Harnum under the Criminal Procedure Act 1986
section 132 (NSW) (LIAC,2013). Although
Carelessness In Prodigal Son From The King James Bible
Carelessness Sometimes the desire to give can be overwhelming, especially when
you have a plethora of what another person craves. In the parable, Prodigal Son
from The King James Bible, a reckless son takes advantage of his father s wealth,
but to everyone s surprise he was never punished. Actually, he was even celebrated
for returning home after blowing away the millions of dollars his father had gave
him. The boy s brother on the other hand was not having it, and confronted his
father about the reasoning behind this fiasco. The father retaliates in an odd
manner by saying, It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy
brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found (Luke 15: 11 32). The
parable, Prodigal Son from the King James Bible, has several flawed aspects that will

When your child is demanding money from you, that should be a clear red flag.
Money should always be asked for from parents and this should most definitely
come with good reason. This boy was just looking to have a good time being
reckless with his father s wealth, hence the name Prodigal Son . On top of it all, he
didn t even ask his father for the money, he flat out expected it from him. Father,

Hollywood Vertical Integration
Those who study film surely know the names of brothers Auguste and Louis
LumiГ©re. To many film historians, these men are credited with history s first public
film screening. It is worth noticing that the LumiГ©re brothers were responsible for
every aspect of their films. This meant that they were in charge of creating the film
and getting it to the audiences. However, as the film industry evolved throughout the
years, these different steps became more complex and needed to be split into three
separate stages: production, distribution, and exhibition. The first stage, production,
can be broken down into four separate parts: development, pre production,
production, and post production. In the beginning of production, the development
stage, the idea for the film is carefully selected. Following the selection, a screenplay
is written for the chosen idea and then pitched to a major company. The pitch of the
film is a crucial as... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, most people also know that with the spending of money comes risk.
Although Hollywood seems careless with expenditures, the film industry is actually
quite conscientious when it comes to saving time and money, lowering costs and
risks, and maintaining the flow of production. In order to accomplish these things,
vertical integration came about which quickly gave rise to Hollywood s studio
system. Vertical integration refers to the owning and involvement in all three stages
of the film industry: production, distribution, and exhibition. This was first seen in
the film industry immediately following WWI when the largest producer distributor
created a theater chain. Following this, the largest exhibition conglomerate became
involved in the production of films. Numerous mergers followed shortly after and
created the Big Five: Paramount, MGM, Twentieth Century, Warner Brothers, and
RKO. These companies dominated the film industry through the studio
Colony Collapse Disease
Bees have existed for about 100 million years, and they have played an important
role in the pollination of plants. A long time ago, pollination was crucial to the
balance of the food chain. Without it there would have been no food for the
herbivores and they would have become extinct; so no food for the meat eaters.
They have been doing their job for millions of years, but recently scientists have
observed problems within the colonies which could have negative effects with in
our ecosystem. For six years scientists have struggled to find the cause of CCD, to
no prevail. Some of the prime suspects are bad nutrition, pesticides in plants that
the bees pollinate and disease bearing parasites. What is CCD? you ask. Well,
CCD is short for Colony Collapse Disorder, and it is the event that occurs when all
the worker bees in a hive disappear or die, leaving behind the queen, food and some
nurse bees to take care of the queen. Researchers collected pollen samples from
some hives that had experienced CCD and fed it to healthy bees. The healthy bees
showed a weakened ability to resist infection from certain parasites, especially
Nosema Ceranae. In the pollen 21 different agricultural chemicals were found, and
eight have been identified to weaken the bee s ability to resist infection, which may
be linked to CCD. This is already a problem in the northern hemisphere, and if it

actions under wraps was a direct result of corruption in Hollywood. Since Harvey
Weinstein had such a powerful role in the film industry, he was able to pressure

Harvey Weinstein would regularly trick actresses into coming up to his hotel room

Dramatic Ironry In O. Henry s Lamb To The Slaughter
Short stories are an exeptional use of literary elements to an audience of all ages.
Lamb to the Slaugher, by O. Henry, expresses many literary elements such as
imagery and dramatic irony. Gift of the Magi is also an amazing use with
foreshadowing and diction. Lamb to the Slaughter uses the elements better than Gift
of the Magi in many different ways, starting with it s precise characters. Lamb to the
slaughter expresses many literary elements, creating a story about Mary Maloney s
experience with her husband. Dramatic ironyis a very critical part of the story,
especially while evaluating the situation. Personally, I think it s right here on the
premises. Probably right under our very noses. What you think Jack? (Roald Dahl9).
She killed her husband with a frozen lamb leg after discussing troubling news that
was never revealed. Mary called the police, who were also her husband s coworkers.
The police never figured out what the weapon was or who killed him. Mary asked
them of a favor to eat the lambleg cooking in the oven, and the weapon was right
under their noses when they were eating. Additionally, the imagery really helps the
most crucial part of the story come alive. Mary walked up behind him and without
any pause she swung the big frozen leg of lamb high in the air and brought it down
as hard as she could on the back of his head(Roald Dahl 4). The text could have just
said she hit him with a lamb leg, but instead it elaborates and explains how it
happened.
Facing The Changing Of Enterprise External Environment
Facing the changing of enterprise external environment, it asks for managers should
stand at the height of strategic management to makes an overall plan for the
development of the enterprise. The Balanced Scorecard (BSC) has great advantages
in the link of enterprise strategy and performance management. It covers strategic
areas, and includes human resource management. However, it has many shortages and
theoretical defect.
Recent research (Rui Z and Ming J, 2001) argued that most research on performance
evaluation tend to be more attention the analysis of some traditional index in China.
Although these traditional index which involved in BSC can reflect historical
outstanding achievement to some extent, but it can not fully reflected the healthy
situation for running and real reasons for developing. The new performance
measurement was designed on the basis of original BSC which will add some
dimensions to improve earning growth and promote enterprise long term stable
development.
The range of most Haier research is very wide. China scholars explain the successful

Xu Hang(2009) presented that one reason for Haier rapid growth is its culture and

Over-Exaggeration In Hamlet
In the play Hamlet, the Prince of Denmark, Hamlet has a speech where he gives
advice to his actors on how to perform on stage. He advises them to not saw the air
too much and to control their emotions. His main point is to be a mirror of nature ,
or realistic. Hamlet doesn t believe that over exaggeration belongs in plays because
all they are doing is entertaining the lower class who are capable of nothing but
inexplicable dumb shows and noise. He believes that your main audience should
be the upper class who appreciate plays more since they are regular play goers. By
explicitly saying who they should be pleasing, Shakespeare is in a way suggesting a
certain audience for his plays. Hamletalso describes how actors can destroy a scene...

In Hamlet, the Prince of Denmark, he really emphasizes for his actors to be a
mirror of nature, or realistic and believable. A character who fits the description of
Hamlet s advice is Richard. Richard is the vice character was born deformed,
unfinished and sent before [his] time. Because of his physical defects, he is
determined to prove villain and destroy the peace by becoming king. In order to
achieve his goal, he needs to deceive many people into believing he is someone
else. At the beginning of the play, Richard is able to deceive Lady Anne into
becoming his wife. He tells her that her beauty was the cause of that effect being
she was the reason why he needed to murder her husband and father in law. In the
process of making her believe this farfetched lie, he is eventually able to make her
his wife. This scene alone shows that Richard is a good enough actor to convince a
woman in mourning that she is the reason these deaths happened. Hamlet wants
his actors to be realistic enough to be just like Richard was with Lady Anne. By
Richard deceiving many people in the play, he shows that being a good actor doesn
t necessarily make you a good person. Hamlet s advice to actors can easily be seen
through Richard by the way he acts towards the characters in his
Wild Oats Analysis
Recently, I had the pleasure of being a part of Roosevelt School of the Art s
production of Wild Oats. Wild Oats is a western melodrama about love, familial
pressure, and misidentification. I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this production
despite some small obstacles. The Promenade staging, costumes, lighting, and sound
came together to create a promising, but slightly faulted piece of theatre. First off, the
unique three quarter thrust promenade staging is not something you typically see.
There were aspects of the staging that were absolutely delightful, and aspects which
hindered the performance. The promenade staging has the audiencesit on the stage on
platforms and have to move as the actors try to act around them. This setup
allowed for high levels of audience engagement and hilarious moments; meanwhile
the actors were forced to improvise their way through situations. My initial
response to this setup was extremely positive and I couldn t wait to get onstage and
mess with the audience. However, once we were actually performing the show,
there were many complications that came with this style of seating. The audience
generally preferred to sit in the house and only on a few occasions do I feel that
the promenade staging was used to it s fullest potential. The audience likely
preferred the house seating because of the comfort of having back support, not
having to give up your seat every 5 minutes, and the ability to see what is happening
at all times. If you sat on the stage, there were many moments with serious sightline
issues and I could imagine that this frustrated some people. These problems did not
over power the positive responses of the audience to seeing action happen right in
front of your eyes. Secondly, the costumes in Wild Oats were all in all phenomenal.
The show takes place in the old wild west and the costumes reflected that time period,
but everyone had something unique and interesting about their costume. The
ensemble, despite their generally small roles in the show, were given immeasurable
amounts of life and depth through what they wore. The character played by Sophie
Venezuela had a wonderfully put together costume that showed her high status as a
character. She had elegant,
Characteristics Of Entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurship is a term often used to describe a person who owns and operates
their own business, but the 2009 World Economic Forum report describes it, The
pursuit of opportunity beyond the resources you currently control Stevenson (1983,
1985); Stevenson and Jarillo (1991) and the 2008 European Commission published a
framework definition derived from representatives from ETF, GIZ, ILO, UNESCO
and UNEVOC that states, Entrepreneurship refers to an individual s ability to turn
ideas into action... . But no matter how you define it, the most important skills, traits,
and characteristics needed to be successful are vastly analogous. Along with this
week s reading, I conducted internet searches for the top characteristics, traits, and
skills for entrepreneurship and my findings were surprisingly similar. The most
common result that I found was determination (willpower, self discipline, drive,
motivation). In this submission, I will identify a successful entrepreneur and describe
the their type of innovation or business, what characteristics or traits they have, how
they got started, and what they did in order to become and remain successful. In
2012 entrepreneur and founder of the San Francisco based apparel startup American
Giant, Bayard Winthrop called a New York Times technology columnist, Farhad
Manjoo to boast of his own world s best hooded sweatshirt. Manjoo agreed to
interview Winthrop about his sweatshirt and business in what turned out to be

Antony Is a Tragic Hero
Anthony and Cleopatra was written in 1607, following the incredible period that
gave us Hamlet, Orthello, King Lear and Macbeth. Although sometimes hard to
categorise, some put this play with Julius Caesar and Corialanus, the Roman plays:
all three use Plutharch s lives of the Noble Grecians and Romans as their primary
source and all three have concerns steeped in historical and political questions.
Shakespeare shows an impressive ability to assimilate the classical world in his own
terms and this is partly a tribute to the strength and vitality of Plutarch s writing. Yet,
although Shakespeare alters Plutarch freely to match his own dramatic purposes,
Plutarch s power to speak for his time and place shines through Shakespeare s... Show

Even with this conflict, Shakespeare perfectly depicts Anthony s love and dotage
of Cleopatra. Shakespeare uses language to contrast the cultures within Rome and
Egypt. The Roman characters speak in balanced, ordered blank verse which
suggests the regularity and order of their way of life . When speaking of Fulvia s
death Anthony s speech changes to perfect cambic pentameter when he says The
opposite of itself, She s good being gone implying his shocked reaction and mixed
emotion. He should be happy that she is dead so now he can spend his life with
his enchanting queen , Cleopatra but he is not . He seems shocked at word of her
death. The same rhythm is taken up in a greatly relaxed manner by the teasing of
Anthony and Cleopatra. Cleopatra taunts If it be love indeed, tell me how much
and Anthony replies with there s beggary in the love that can be reckoned . In
Egypt the characters speak mainly in phrase, showing their casual, relaxed and
sensous approach to life. The conversation is frivolous, sexual and scattered with
gossip . Not now to hear thee sing. I take no pleasure in alight a eunuch has. Tis well
for thee that, being unseminar d thy freer thoughts may not fly forth of Egypt. Has
thou affections? The language that Anthony uses towards Cleopatra is sensual and
laden with metaphors like: many thousand kisses, the poor last/ I lay you thy lips

Modern Day Heroes Essay
Modern day heroes can be very important. These heroes importance on americans is
that they help us, the people in many different ways like physically and mentally
/ vocally. These heroes empower common people to do better. these heroes
importance to the world is greatest, they help us to be better (and make the world
better) and learn from them. So with these three thing Modern day Heroes better our
world and we would be nothing without them.
To explain my point, The importance of modern day heroes on Americans are they
help us. In passage 1 there s a modern day hero named Betty Ford, Betty was the first
lady and she had breast cancer. Betty opened up about her cancer and told lady s to
be safe and check to to see if they are ok. Betty Ford in a way helped the people
physically by making them go to the doctor, this could have saved people they
could have caught the cancer before it was too late. According to Betty Ford: A
New Kind of First Lady Checkups increased by 300 to 400 percent . I put this
quote to show how Betty Ford is so inspiring she had womans wanted to be sure
they were alright and there s a good chance some of those people in that percent
might have had breast cancer, so Betty Ford might have just saved there life.
Modern day heroes affect Americans mentally/ vocally by speaking up and taking a
stand. In passage 2 the author spoke up about violence by involving modern day
heroes. Jonah Goldberg (THE AUTHOR) stood up for this one girl named Laura
who got in
Essay On Buddhist Meditation
Meditate to Attain 3
Last week we closed down with a standpoint to present more on meditation and
particularly about Buddhist meditation practices. Most of the advantages of
meditation are conceivable in light of the fact that meditation influences the parts of
your brain that direct mental conditions, for example, mood swing, tension, stress,
gloominess, pressure, and so forth.
Meditation will help you in building up your Profession, by making educated,
business and hierarchical choices. Meditation will give you the fixation you have to
concentrate on your employment obligations and enhance efficiency. It improves you
to be the best listener, a fundamental segment of effective communication. Effective
communication is a Leadership quality you require in abundance. Meditation will
help you manage conflict at home and in the work environment. Meditation will

Meditation will help you to comprehend your emotions better and productively
channel them. Meditation will upgrade your inventiveness. Meditation improves you
more engaged and at what you do. Meditation will help you produce imaginary
thoughts you can then convert into action like artworks, drawings, tunes, books, and
so forth. Meditation will improve your knowledge, craftsmanship as you view your
workmanship in appreciation. Meditation helps you interface with a higher power
from where you can get motivation.
Zen: Searching for the quickest approach to ending up as a Zen Buddhist should not
hold you henceforth. New Age Meditation can make you Zen in a matter of seconds.
This sort of meditation has as of late turned out to be well known and it has broken
all pre considered ideas about meditation. In this meditation, you require a gadget
with meditation music. The meditation music and headphones and you are prepared
to go. This is not quite the same as guided meditation. Here you just need to tune into
sounds and you will achieve the coveted condition of
America Is A Land Of Opportunity Essay
Land of opportunity to me means, a land where things are easier for everyone
residing in it. Where everybody gets the same benefits, has access to affordable
resources, and the possibility for its entire population to be capable of reaching
their goals; essentially, living a happy and healthy lifestyle on account of its
government. People from all over the world visualize this country as a land of
dreams, a land that benefits and allows them to have a better life for themselves and
their families, and for the most part, they would be correct. America is the land of
opportunity because, even though, there is plenty of discrimination to go around, our
government programs and free public education are only two of the many reasons
why this country... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Our country also offers free public education from kindergarten up until the 12th
grade. This program sponsors students with an education plan both for the body and
mind, up until their late teens. It provides them with basic knowledge about various
subjects such as math, science, and history, as well as introduce them to sports. This
program prepares students for a brighter future and a healthy lifestyle. After these
teens graduate high school, they are freed into the world to finally make their own
decisions about what path they choose to take in life. The vast majority of students
want to further their education and become experts in certain fields where they can
potentially obtain a career doing something they re passionate about; this is where
college becomes a primary goal. Although college is not free, financial aid and
student loans make college a reality for many people. Financial aid helps sponsor a
few students who struggle with little income; while student loans allow students who
don t qualify for financial aid, to borrow money for their college education. Both
programs have helped millions of students all throughout the country get the proper
education they need to succeed in their
Is Psychology A Concept Or Theory Achieved Through Self...
Psychology is a concept or theory attained through self help book, self help mentors,
talk show and many more different useful methods. Many students enter this field of
psychology with some knowledge. In the fall and winter of 1975 students in an
introductory psychology class were given a test known as the Test of misconception
students were asked to listen to each statement and answer them by answering true or
false only, statements such as To change people s behaviors towards members of
ethnic minority groups we must first change their attitudes. (Vaughan) These
practices use some mental strategies to improve ones over all well being. These
particular misconceptions seem to have been effectively dispelled in this group of
students. However 15 out of 23 items showed little change in either direction, despite
the fact that most of them we dealt with materials dealt in books (Vaughan)
Common sense is using good judgment; that is only acquired through life
experiences. The science of psychology used research and data to form theories. All
three have the same common goal, a person s well being; they are just different
methods on how to get there. In my analysis common misconceptions about
Psychology is that there is a definite answer, but when dealing with humans nothing
is specific or well defined because we are all emotional creatures. I believe this
misconception exists because as humans believe there has to be an answer for
everything, sometimes things are the way
Monty Python Satire Essay
In the film, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, a confabulation took place between a
nonsensical King Arthur and a soldier with a keen interest in birds. In Monty Python
and the Holy Grail we see everyday acts of chivalry, being hilariously mocked. What,
ridden on a horse?
Yes!
You re using coconuts!
What?
You ve got two empty halves of coconuts and you re bangin em together.
This is a prime example of satire directed at chivalry today. People seem to think
that chivalry is rooted so far in the past that it s gone. I can say that it may be gone
from some minds, but definitely not all. To be a good and true knight, a man had to
follow certain ideals, ideals of chivalry and courtly love. That consisted of, being ...

Through means of this story, chivalry seems like a perfect ideal that everyone can
and should do, but in Monty Python and the Holy Grail viewers can see that maybe
chivalry was sort of silly and kind of hard to follow. In the film Monty Python and the
Holy Grail they satirize the sort of chivalry shown in Sir Gawain and the Green
Knight. For example, while Sir Gawain was honorable and brave, Python s Arthur
and his men were exactly the opposite. Arthur and his men ran away from danger,
they ran away when the French castle threw whole animals at them, they ran away
from the killer bunny and Sir Robin ran away when he realized that he was not
going to win the battle against the three headed knight. Clearly, the characters in
Monty Python and the Holy Grail didn t exhibit any of the ideals of chivalry.
Chivalry was also well represented and adored in the film Knights of the Round Table
. In the film we see many chivalric acts take place, but one act that I focused on was,
when Arthur and Sir Lancelot were unknowingly fighting in the woods. The film
shows Arthur getting his sword stuck in a tree and Sir Lancelot getting it out for
him. So the chivalric idea of fighting a fair fight is shown when Sir Lancelot helps
his opponent, instead of just taking the advantage and winning. Once again this
aspect of chivalry was
Pennies Should Be Eliminated Essay
Find a penny, pick it up, all day long you ll have good luck. This commonly used
saying is being valued less and less as the days progress. On a daily basis,
thousands of people walk down the streets of busy cities. Today the majority of
people state that when they pass by a penny on the ground, they don t stop to pick it
up. Due to this and many other reasons pennyproduction should cease. In society,
other countries have chosen to withdraw their coins, pennies lack circulation, and
they are costly to produce, leading us, as a nation, to lean towards the decision of
stopping their production.
Each day, around the world, countries and governments choose to make changes
daily, leading citizens to believe that the use of the penny could easily be abolished.
Back in the 1800 s, America partook in the use of a half cent. In 1857, the
government decided that it was too much of a nuisance and was not used often
enough. As a nation, we chose to stop its production. After its eradication, there was
no record of the people struggling to adjust to its disappearance. Citizens were able to

As shoppers peruse the grocery store, they are often met with items that are not
rounded to the exact dollar. In fact, most items you purchase will present you with a
penny or two in change. When people receive these pennies, they often feel that they
will only bring extra weight and clutter into their wallets, leading them to leave these
pennies at the cash register or in a change jar. Furthermore, a penny left in a change
jar is very likely to be left untouched. Items don t cost only one cent! These pennies
will then sit in this change jar for months or even years, until someone decides to
donate or cash them in. As a result, pennies are often lost in circulation and are not

The Brain And Its Effects On Human Brain
Through neurological processes, pattern recognition, and analytical resolutions that
the human brain achieves when interpreting sound, unknown scientific truths and
developments of society can be exposed through various examinations of auditory
data in conjunction with traditional visual data.
Following an advanced series of steps, the brain transforms sound waves into
interpretable information. Once the sound wave has passed the eardrum and reaches
the inner ear, the behavior of the wave is converted into electrical signals that are
sent to the brain. The spiral shaped cochlea in the inner ear is lined with sensory
cells (or hair cells) with different levels of sensitivity, allowing the ear to perceive
sounds of varying frequencies. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Graphs and charts allow data to be mapped by means of two or three variables,
limiting the analysis of the star. Yet, parameter mapping accounts for various features
of sound as shown in Figure 2.
On the other hand, audificaiton is the direct translation of data samples to audio
samples (ScienceFriday, 2016). Being the most basic method of sonification, each
data point is translated into a signal level, which a digital to analog converter reads
(Vogt, 2008). This converter takes the finite number of signal levels (e.g., four in the
Potts model) and translates them into a state with an infinite number of levels,
allowing the data to sound continuous, just as human speech does.
Most recognizably, sonification can also be in the form of auditory icons. They
have images that correspond to a specific sound. For example, the trashcan icon on
the computer is accompanied by the auditory icon s sound of a crumpled piece of
paper thrown into a metal trashcan (Vogt, 2008). Additionally, the beep... beep... beep
of a heartrate monitor can easily be recognized. The auditory icon of a beep relays
the beat of a patient s heartrate so that physicians and caretakers may accurately
monitor the patient.
Model based sonification uses the data to control a model that produces sound (Vogt,
2008). This includes the human perception of pitch when filling up a water bottle; an
individual can determine the level of water in the bottle (TГјnnermann et al., 2009)

February 8, 2015 Groundhog Day Film Critique
The primary goal of this paper is to explain in genre theory and thoroughly describe
an analysis and attributes of the selected film, Groundhog Day (1993). Specifically,
the objectives of the paper are as follows: 1) to provide a short summary of the film;
2) to interpret the aesthetic choices in the chosen feature length film; and 3) to
provide a third convention from the selected film and explain in detail how this film
impacted society. For this purpose, the paper is divided into three sections. Each

However, with the small and gentle effort pumped into the movie by two well
known film masters, it led to the most appealing movie ever thought of by the two.
Groundhog Day is an amusing and sweet surprising combination. Although the term
appealing is an understatement of Murray s style of humor, Groundhog Day is a
thriller thanks to Murray s comic hostility. He combined the bitter and the sweet,
which is an essential recipe for making a pleasant film. The themes and stylistic
devices employed in Groundhog Day are key ingredients of its success as a comedy
film.
The film s mise en scene is intentional, combining both design and composition to
create a unified perfect viewing experience. During the final scene where Phil

skeptical at first when he wakes up but is later overwhelmed with joy. The elements
in the scene resonate to the rest of the film. The framing and movements of figures in

Cervical Herniation Research Paper
Cervical Disc Herniation Treatment A diagnosis of a cervical herniated disc is
when the internal core of the disc in the neck is displaced and protrudes through,
or there is a leakage of the disc and push on a neighboring nerve root. It typically
progresses in the 30s to 50s age bracket. Although a cervical herniated disc may be
initiated by various types of strains or trauma or neck damage, the manifestations
usually start all of a sudden. As a result, a discomfort in the arm from a cervical
herniated disc may arise because the herniated disc fragments compresses or
crushes on a cervical nerve that causes the pain to emit along the nerve pathway
going down the arms. Together with the pain in the arms, numbness and burning
sensation can show up in the arm going down to the fingertips. Weakness in the
muscles may also arise. The discs along the cervical spine are not very big;
however, there is not much of a space accessible for the nerves. This connotes that
even a tiny cervical disc herniation may infringe on the nerve and be the source of
significant pain. The pain in the arm is commonly most serious as the nerve becomes
tweaked.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The pain arrangements and neurological deficiencies are mainly decided by the
area of the herniated disc. The cervical spine is established around the vertebrae, or
the 7 pile of bony building blocks in the spine. They are categorized from top to
bottom, namely C1 through C7. The nerve that is afflicted by the herniation of the
cervical disc is the one leaving the spine at that level, so around the C5 C6 level, it
is the C6 nerve root that is of main
Analysis Of Letter From A Birmingham Jail
The primary source chosen is the Letter From a Birmingham Jail, written by Dr.
Martin Luther King Jr. It was a letter sent to the clergyman of Birmingham,
Alabama in 1963. The actual document was written inside the Birmingham city jail
on articles of newspaper and scrapes that Dr. King had near by in his cell.
Throughout the letter Dr. King addresses the comments made by the Birmingham
clergymen about his civil rights demonstrations. He understands that someone will
have to break the racial barrier. The question that may arise is that, If Dr. King s
message went to most southern states and did not go to all including Alabama,
would the action be centered toward equal opportunity or segregation with the idea
that each race would be a product of their resources? The intent of Dr. King was to
address his reasoning for being in Birmingham and to expound upon what the
clergyman called unwise and untimely. In the initiation of the letter he explains his
position in society. He was the president of the Southern Christian Leadership
Conference, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and a civil rights activist who
fought for equality of all regardless of ethnicity. His main focus was to induce
equality into Birmingham instead of segregation. His position was the voice of the
black community and he was known by many, including the president of the United
States. He was also a pastor who had political and biblical knowledge and
understanding like his fellow clergyman. In the
character Analysis what of this fish would you wish Essay
The short story What, of this goldfish, Would You Wish? is a emotive short story
written by Etgar Keret. In this story he uses Archetype of the innocent youth being
Yonatan an ambitious young documenter, he has a bombastic idea for a documentary
which he decides to solely execute by himself. Yoni with his one man film crew
travels from house to house, neighbourhood to neighbourhood, asking the same
question to a diverse selection of people.
Yonaton would ask them a simple question: If you found a talking goldfish that

This trust is a trait only a young and innocent character could have. An example of
this is he is unafraid as he knowingly aggravates Sergei who would not usually
during a first encounter seen as someone that would tolerate Yonatan s pushy and
insistent behaviour. His character completely contrasts Sergei s. As his perception of
people is the complete opposite to Yonatan s, he naturally assumes everyone has
illВintentions, and figures that no one would say or do anything to him without a
ulterior motive. This is the very definition of a paranoid person. An example of this
is in the very first sentence he comes in contact with Yonatan. he assumes he is a
homosexual because he has a earring, he is searching for any explanations as to why
someone would want to speak to him. 4 paragraphs later Sergei has come to the
conclusion that Yonatan s motive is to steal his goldfish, he feeds his paranoiawith
this idea.
As he becomes increasingly anxious and paranoid, his narrative became cluttered
and fast paced. This trait is important to Sergei s character because it shows that
Sergei s character is scared, it shows that he killed Yonatan out of fear, not out of
violent intention or anger. This creates the controversy to whether he is a dangerous
person.
Sergei s interactions consist of him being fearful of what the persons intentions are,
he cannot accept that some people speak to him without having the intention of
hurting him in some way. This inevitably
The Winter s Tale By William Shakespeare
In the play The Winter s Tale by William Shakespeare, exists two different types of
characters: dynamic characters, meaning characters who change throughout the
play by learning and growing through their experiences, and static characters,
meaning characters that stagnate from the beginning to end. In particular, the
most dynamic character in the play is King Leontes of Sicilia. In the beginning,
Leontes believes in the self assumed belief that his wife, Queen Hermione, is
having affairs with his childhood friend, King Polixenes of Bohemia. This belief
was conspired by Leontes when he requested Hermione to convince Polixenes to
prolong his visit in Sicilia after he himself had failed. When she did succeed,
Leontes became diseased with jealousy and came to the assumption that Hermione
and Polixenes have a special relationship together. With the authorial power he
possesses as king, he sentenced his pregnant wife to prison for adultery. Though
Hermione persists that he is wrong and there is a misunderstanding, Leontes,
however, denies everything she says. In this, Leontes is seen as a stubborn tyrant
who abuses his divine power as king to treat his wife as a lower being. He denies
her right to speak and punishes her severely. Leontes says: You, my lords, Look on
her, mark her well; be but about To say she is a goodly lady, and The justice of your
hearts will thereto add Tis pity she s not honest, honourable: Praise her but for this her

Jean Marc Bosm Football Player For Belgian League Team
The Bosman Ruling
The ease and freedom with which clubs transfer players between one another today
would not have been possible without the Bosman Ruling.
Jean Marc Bosman was a football player for Belgian leagues team R.F.C de Liege,
where he had a contract until June 30th, 1990. When R.F.C. de Liege offered
Bosman a new contract with a 75 percent salary reduction, Bosman declined the offer
and was automatically placed on the transfer list for the club. A second division team
in France, USL Dunkerque, expressed interest in signing the player and both teams
negotiated the transfer. USL Dunkerque agreed to pay 1,200,000 Belgian Francs for
the first season and 4,800,000 Belgian Francs if they ended up acquiring the player

1293). Bosman also took legal action against UEFA, the European Football
Association, to the European Court of Justice in an attempt to invalidate UEFA s
gentlemen s agreement . The gentlemen s agreement, also known as the 3 plus 2
rule, allowed domestic leagues to set their own maximum number of foreign
players that a particular club could have. The 3 plus 2 rule states that only three
foreign players and two foreign players who had been in the country for more than
five years could play on the field at the same time for a club in domestic matches.
In April 1992, the Belgian Court of Justice declared no legal consequences for the
suit, so Bosman decided to drop the charges against his club and the Belgian league
in order to develop a new claim against UEFA. In his new claim, he stated that the 3
plus 2 rule and European transfer system breached the Articles 48, 85 and 86 of
the Treaty of Rome, and they should be considered null and voided. (Lee, 1995) On
December 15th, 1995 the European Court of Justice finally reached a verdict and
the transfer market in European football was changed forever. According to Case C
415/93, The European Court of Justice ruled that it was illegal for clubs to stop
players from moving clubs once their contracts have expired. The European Court of
Justice also banned the restrictions that a club could have on the number of players
that belong to the European Union. Before the rule was established, clubs had the

Following the signal to abandon ship, it took Costa Cruises just under three hours to

release stated that at the time, the cause of the incident could not be confirmed and
assured the public that they were working with the highest commitment to provide all
needed assistance to guests, crew members and the local Italian authorities . The
statement poses questions by stating that approximately 1,000 passengers of Italian

The key messages conveyed by Foschi were that the company has a strict safety
policy, all crew behaved according to evacuation procedures and that the poor
judgment of Captain Schettino caused the incident. Many questions and allegations
were brought up during the conference such as reports that the captain left the ship
before all passengers and crew had been evacuated. Foschi responded by saying, We
are unable to ascertain whether he left the ship before the conclusion of the
evacuation. Some internal testimony indicates that he really tried to stay on board
but we have to wait for the formal investigation. So, Foschi stated that the company
had to wait for the conclusion of the formal investigation to comment any further on
that allegation, yet they were quick to put all the blame on the captain to mitigate
their own liability. Foschi said that the captain wanted to salute the island of Giglio
by bringing the ship close to the shore. He did not follow the authorized route that
was frequently used by Costa Ships and brought the ship about 150 metres from the
island where it struck the rock, which was clearly marked on charts. Foschi
confirmed that on one other occasion, August 9th and 10th 2011, another Costa ship
sailed close to shore but the path was approved by all necessary authorities and the
ship was never less than 500 metres from the

This plan is best for fans who are avid fans of baseball, but also have very busy
schedules that they have to work around. You always hear people say that they don
t want to commit to a date because it is too far in advance and they don t know if
some other obligation will pop up in the mean time. The flex plan only costs $75
and offers the best mix of savings and convenience. The booklet is composed of 10
ticket vouchers that can be exchanged for any 2015 regular season home game for
100 level or 200 level premium or reserved seat tickets. Also, one voucher can be
redeemed for 15% off merchandise at the Whistlestop Souvenir Store. This ticket
plan is a perfect example of a benefit selling strategy. Benefit selling involves the
creation of new benefits to offset the negative perceptions related to the sport
product. As explained earlier, the excuse that one is too busy to commit to a season
ticket plan is an example of a negative perception. By definition, benefit selling
counteracts this negative perception by allowing the consumer to use the 10
vouchers at their own expense. Therefore, you could use all 10 vouchers for one
game or spread them out throughout the season. The flex plan leaves the consumers
in charge of how they plan to spend their money wisely and without restrictions. The
Chiefs also benefit because the tickets are pre sold, so filling the seats does not
depend on team performance, weather, or any other factors. The Chiefs don t
typically sell out for big games because they are a minor league team. If the Chiefs
were a major league team, these flex plan consumers wouldn t be guaranteed
admission for whatever game they choose. Redemption would be based on

Social media, as a kind of new technology, has developed so fast and affected our society in various aspects, such as the way of communication and self assessment. On the one hand, some argue that social media is good for the society because it makes our life more convenient and provide us a new way to know the world. That is true to some extent. For example, we can see our families or friends who are far from us via social media, such as Facebook. From this perspective, social media is good for the society because it helps us keep the relationship with others, especially people with the long distance. Also, there is much fresh news and information related to different fields on social media. People can get much new information from the feed on social media. • 3. Christian Elements In Beowulf The intermingling of Christian ideas and classical rhetoric has set the foundation for many centuries of literature works. The overlap of elements appeals to readers who are accustomed to Biblical language while simultaneously engaging with their imaginative experience of a secular world, an expression that is observed in the epic poem Beowulf. Commonly cited as one of the most important works of Old English literature, the poem provides valuable insight into a culture that resembles our own societal challenges while simultaneously remaining distant from the present day world. This analytical essay will focus on the strategic use of words and phrases and how the poets emphasis on religious association invokes the answers to many central human perplexities. Through its use of repetitive elements and various motifs within Christian and pagan values, the poet builds on the many elements within virtuous philosophy. Although many analytical dissertations interpret the influence that Beowulf s diction has on Christian ideals, it is critical to examine how the poem s religious expression affects its pagan characters. Many literary works incorporate stock elements to continuously keep their readers engaged in the purpose of its context. These elements are distinct analogous words or phrases that are chosen to convey the rhetorical device. The author of Beowulf repeatedly acknowledged God as an all mighty figure that overshadows the lives of both its readers and the
  • 4. Essay on Mythological Gender Profiling and the Women of... Mythological Gender Profiling and the Women of Greece In the myths of the Centauromachy and the Amazonomachy, the Greeks found a manuscript for moral and disciplinary guidance in their dealings with the women of the time. By assigning the women of Greece hybris, Greek men targeted the women of Greece to intense programs of subjugation and social retribution in order to prevent the emergence of Centaurian or Amazonian traits, which would destroy the patriarchal nature of Archaic Greek culture. Generally, Greek myths tend to exemplify gender profiling as a way to polarize the sexes in order to maintain a stable and workable patriarchy. This is evidenced in the Centauromachy and Amazonomachy, which identify undesirable and inherent ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Greeks were absolutely concerned with the values of social custom and social order. The idea of moira, the station a person or group is assigned to in life was a staple belief and the backbone of Greek culture. Throughout Castriota s text, there are comparisons that allude to a relationship between the Greek s views of the Centaurian s hybris and the qualities possessed by the women of Hellenistic culture. This comparison will become important in analyzing the usefulness of the myth as a means for gender profiling and societal management. Closely related to the hybris of the Centaurs, are the qualities associated with the young women of the time. By relating the female gender to the Centauromachy, Greeks identified women as a societal weakness. Castriota states three times, that male characters referred to the rising of the women as hybris. Clearly, the Greeks have given women equine characteristics. According to Castriota, young women were called polos, young mare or filly . The mere implication that women, as a gender, contained in them the wildness and hybris of the horse was closely reflected in the myth of the Centauromachy. This is a form of gender profiling, which placed women in a position of weakness as to their potential contribution to Greek society. This weakness, as in a military regime, would have to be monitored and controlled tightly in order to minimize damage done to contemporary Greek society. The

  • 7. Discipline In Home Life In Ian, Trina, And Juvenile Crimes Discipline is defined as, the practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience. Children s actions and behavior are all based on how disciplined they are in their home life. Without discipline, I think maturity is expected to not come as early in age as it would for someone who is taught the differences between right and wrong during their childhood years. When children are maturing, they need to have support and discipline from their guardians to succeed and become good independent adults without getting into trouble with the law. In chapter 8, Stevenson introduces us to Ian, Trina, and Antonio. All three of these characters were sent to juvenile prisonfor various crimes they had committed. Each of their stories had one thing in common, neglect. Parents are primarily responsible for meeting their children s needs. However, there are usually multiple and interacting contributors to parenting and to neglect (Howard Dubowitz). In chapter 8, all of the characters faced traumatic home life circumstances. They each faced abandonment at such a young age. They were abused and neglected by their own parents. This set bad examples for each of these kids at such a young age. This made all three of them run into problems with the American Justice System because of individual juvenile crimes they each had made. Ian, Trina, and Antonio were all three convicted of different crimes but in my opinion, they all link back to one

They are strongly portrayed as polar opposites when they are first introduced in the play. The difference between the two characters is shown through their appearance, since Blanche is portrayed as a delicate moth while Stanley is portrayed as animalistic. He also thinks about the consequences of the decision he will make. In this scenario, I will be describing an ethical dilemma that I faced when I worked with an IT firm. My team leader was stealing from the company. He used to steal the network cable and other networking tools from the company storage unit. I started to dig this matter and I came to know that after stealing, he was selling that tools into local market. It was his side business and he was earning pretty good. But one day, there was a surprise inventory check conducted by our manager. In that report a huge amount of losses were there. So a notice was issued to all employee regarding the inside stealing and we were asked to give the other person name and our name would be not disclosed. At that point of time I faced an ethical dilemma, whether to give the name of my team leader with a fear of losing my job or whether to keep quiet and let him steal more stuff till no one catches him. Part 2 Philosophical model: To solve my ethical dilemma, I will be using Deontology as my philosophical model. Deontology is a Greek word originated from Deon meaning obligation/morality or duty. • 11. Analysis Of The Nymph s Reply To The Shepherd No matter how much you ve tried and no matter how long you ve waited for the one you love because if you really love that person you re willing to wait for him /her no matter what happened. In the shepherd s desperation, he resorts to materialism as he believes this is the only way his love will be returned. However, the nymph in The Nymph s Reply to the Shepherd is not so easily seduced by such attractive images, pointing out that flowers do fade and all of the things the shepherd promises Soon break, soon wither, soon forgotten. From the very beginning it is written whole heartedly by Christopher Marlowe, deep words were the ones to show the impact of love in this life. Love your life that gives the perfection. It gives me an impression of having the good side or the brighter feeling of being loved. It makes me happy to read this kind of poem while conceptualizing the essence of having myself in the situation of the author. The author show his full respect to his loved one and I felt so in love with the way how did the author dedicate his love only for his loved one. Having this kind of poem in my mind makes me feel the right things to do and to think while being in love with a person. The reply of Sir Walter Raleighto Christopher Marlowe s poem is very entertaining because of the conviction that Sir Walter Raleigh s reply is a total rejection to each and every word that Marlowe has been written. However, I feel sad for that part of the confession because being

Descriptive vs Normative Statements Question 1 To explain the distinction between Descriptive and Normative Statements one first has to understand the difference between Descriptive and Normative Ethics. Descriptive ethics primarily describes people s moral beliefs, claims and behaviors. This form of ethics is studied primarily by psychologist, sociologist and anthropologist. With Normative ethicswe deal with the attempt to discover what actions are in fact right or wrong, good or bad and what it takes to be a moral or immoral person. While some of these traits never disappeared, others became more like the Greeks we recognize today starting in the fifth century BCE. It was around this time that Pythagoras lived and taught. He was instead generally seen as a religious figure and was the leader of what is sometimes referred to as a cult. He was described as part philosopher, part priest, and part conjuror and had a lot of bearing in both the religious and scientific views of his time. He believed that religion and science were indeed one and the same, with math serving as a pathway for discovering the workings of the universe. This belief was controversial, and many philosophers referred to Pythagoras sarcastically, but it was a belief that would continue onward throughout Greek history in the minds of other philosophers, such as Aristotle. It was the basis for the interest in mathematics and astronomy, because he taught that by learning the movement of the heavenly bodies, or planets, humans would be able to find the formula for all movement in the universe and predict future events. His belief in the immortality of the soul also persevered into the new intellectual shift. It was based on the traditional myth of Hades, the land of the dead, but put forth further logical conclusions.

Also the danger of getting rid of jury trials is that there will be a perception that someone who is an elite judge is going to be deciding matter, someone that may be in touch with the ordinary community (Harvey 2011). Hence, the jury system ensures the communities ethics, values and morals are implied and safeguards the law is applied in a way that fits in with what the society expects (Love 2014). • 32. Dramatic Ironry In O. Henry s Lamb To The Slaughter Short stories are an exeptional use of literary elements to an audience of all ages. Lamb to the Slaugher, by O. Henry, expresses many literary elements such as imagery and dramatic irony. Gift of the Magi is also an amazing use with foreshadowing and diction. Lamb to the Slaughter uses the elements better than Gift of the Magi in many different ways, starting with it s precise characters. Lamb to the slaughter expresses many literary elements, creating a story about Mary Maloney s experience with her husband. Dramatic ironyis a very critical part of the story, especially while evaluating the situation. Personally, I think it s right here on the premises. Probably right under our very noses. What you think Jack? (Roald Dahl9). She killed her husband with a frozen lamb leg after discussing troubling news that was never revealed. Mary called the police, who were also her husband s coworkers. The police never figured out what the weapon was or who killed him. Mary asked them of a favor to eat the lambleg cooking in the oven, and the weapon was right under their noses when they were eating. Additionally, the imagery really helps the most crucial part of the story come alive. Mary walked up behind him and without any pause she swung the big frozen leg of lamb high in the air and brought it down as hard as she could on the back of his head(Roald Dahl 4). The text could have just said she hit him with a lamb leg, but instead it elaborates and explains how it happened.

Recent research (Rui Z and Ming J, 2001) argued that most research on performance evaluation tend to be more attention the analysis of some traditional index in China. China scholars explain the successful reasons from the aspects of Haier culture, diversification and internationalization, incentive machine, interpretation system (Meng L, 2001; Tao Ouyang 2005; Shaoju Shi, 2011). He advises them to not saw the air too much and to control their emotions. His main point is to be a mirror of nature , or realistic. Hamlet doesn t believe that over exaggeration belongs in plays because all they are doing is entertaining the lower class who are capable of nothing but inexplicable dumb shows and noise. Because of his physical defects, he is determined to prove villain and destroy the peace by becoming king. In order to achieve his goal, he needs to deceive many people into believing he is someone else. At the beginning of the play, Richard is able to deceive Lady Anne into becoming his wife. He tells her that her beauty was the cause of that effect being she was the reason why he needed to murder her husband and father in law. In the process of making her believe this farfetched lie, he is eventually able to make her his wife. This scene alone shows that Richard is a good enough actor to convince a woman in mourning that she is the reason these deaths happened. Hamlet wants his actors to be realistic enough to be just like Richard was with Lady Anne. By Richard deceiving many people in the play, he shows that being a good actor doesn t necessarily make you a good person. Hamlet s advice to actors can easily be seen through Richard by the way he acts towards the characters in his
  • 35. Wild Oats Analysis Recently, I had the pleasure of being a part of Roosevelt School of the Art s production of Wild Oats. Wild Oats is a western melodrama about love, familial pressure, and misidentification. I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this production despite some small obstacles. The Promenade staging, costumes, lighting, and sound came together to create a promising, but slightly faulted piece of theatre. First off, the unique three quarter thrust promenade staging is not something you typically see. There were aspects of the staging that were absolutely delightful, and aspects which hindered the performance. The promenade staging has the audiencesit on the stage on platforms and have to move as the actors try to act around them. This setup allowed for high levels of audience engagement and hilarious moments; meanwhile the actors were forced to improvise their way through situations. My initial response to this setup was extremely positive and I couldn t wait to get onstage and mess with the audience. However, once we were actually performing the show, there were many complications that came with this style of seating. The audience generally preferred to sit in the house and only on a few occasions do I feel that the promenade staging was used to it s fullest potential. The audience likely preferred the house seating because of the comfort of having back support, not having to give up your seat every 5 minutes, and the ability to see what is happening at all times. If you sat on the stage, there were many moments with serious sightline issues and I could imagine that this frustrated some people. These problems did not over power the positive responses of the audience to seeing action happen right in front of your eyes. Secondly, the costumes in Wild Oats were all in all phenomenal. The show takes place in the old wild west and the costumes reflected that time period, but everyone had something unique and interesting about their costume. The ensemble, despite their generally small roles in the show, were given immeasurable amounts of life and depth through what they wore. The character played by Sophie Venezuela had a wonderfully put together costume that showed her high status as a character. She had elegant,

Characteristics Of Entrepreneurship Entrepreneurship is a term often used to describe a person who owns and operates their own business, but the 2009 World Economic Forum report describes it, The pursuit of opportunity beyond the resources you currently control Stevenson (1983, 1985); Stevenson and Jarillo (1991) and the 2008 European Commission published a framework definition derived from representatives from ETF, GIZ, ILO, UNESCO and UNEVOC that states, Entrepreneurship refers to an individual s ability to turn ideas into action... . But no matter how you define it, the most important skills, traits, and characteristics needed to be successful are vastly analogous. Along with this week s reading, I conducted internet searches for the top characteristics, traits, and skills for entrepreneurship and my findings were surprisingly similar. The most common result that I found was determination (willpower, self discipline, drive, motivation). In this submission, I will identify a successful entrepreneur and describe the their type of innovation or business, what characteristics or traits they have, how they got started, and what they did in order to become and remain successful. Although sometimes hard to categorise, some put this play with Julius Caesar and Corialanus, the Roman plays: all three use Plutharch s lives of the Noble Grecians and Romans as their primary source and all three have concerns steeped in historical and political questions. Shakespeare shows an impressive ability to assimilate the classical world in his own terms and this is partly a tribute to the strength and vitality of Plutarch s writing. Psychology is a concept or theory attained through self help book, self help mentors, talk show and many more different useful methods. Many students enter this field of psychology with some knowledge. In the fall and winter of 1975 students in an introductory psychology class were given a test known as the Test of misconception students were asked to listen to each statement and answer them by answering true or false only, statements such as To change people s behaviors towards members of ethnic minority groups we must first change their attitudes. Through means of this story, chivalry seems like a perfect ideal that everyone can and should do, but in Monty Python and the Holy Grail viewers can see that maybe chivalry was sort of silly and kind of hard to follow. In the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail they satirize the sort of chivalry shown in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. For example, while Sir Gawain was honorable and brave, Python s Arthur and his men were exactly the opposite. Arthur and his men ran away from danger, they ran away when the French castle threw whole animals at them, they ran away from the killer bunny and Sir Robin ran away when he realized that he was not going to win the battle against the three headed knight. Clearly, the characters in Monty Python and the Holy Grail didn t exhibit any of the ideals of chivalry. Chivalry was also well represented and adored in the film Knights of the Round Table . In the film we see many chivalric acts take place, but one act that I focused on was, when Arthur and Sir Lancelot were unknowingly fighting in the woods. The film shows Arthur getting his sword stuck in a tree and Sir Lancelot getting it out for him. So the chivalric idea of fighting a fair fight is shown when Sir Lancelot helps his opponent, instead of just taking the advantage and winning. Once again this aspect of chivalry was

Once the sound wave has passed the eardrum and reaches the inner ear, the behavior of the wave is converted into electrical signals that are sent to the brain. Being the most basic method of sonification, each data point is translated into a signal level, which a digital to analog converter reads (Vogt, 2008). This converter takes the finite number of signal levels (e.g., four in the Potts model) and translates them into a state with an infinite number of levels, allowing the data to sound continuous, just as human speech does. Most recognizably, sonification can also be in the form of auditory icons. They have images that correspond to a specific sound. For example, the trashcan icon on the computer is accompanied by the auditory icon s sound of a crumpled piece of paper thrown into a metal trashcan (Vogt, 2008). Additionally, the beep... beep... beep of a heartrate monitor can easily be recognized. Cervical Herniation Research Paper Cervical Disc Herniation Treatment A diagnosis of a cervical herniated disc is when the internal core of the disc in the neck is displaced and protrudes through, or there is a leakage of the disc and push on a neighboring nerve root. It typically progresses in the 30s to 50s age bracket. Although a cervical herniated disc may be initiated by various types of strains or trauma or neck damage, the manifestations usually start all of a sudden. As a result, a discomfort in the arm from a cervical herniated disc may arise because the herniated disc fragments compresses or crushes on a cervical nerve that causes the pain to emit along the nerve pathway going down the arms. Together with the pain in the arms, numbness and burning sensation can show up in the arm going down to the fingertips. Weakness in the muscles may also arise. The discs along the cervical spine are not very big; however, there is not much of a space accessible for the nerves. This trait is important to Sergei s character because it shows that Sergei s character is scared, it shows that he killed Yonatan out of fear, not out of violent intention or anger. This creates the controversy to whether he is a dangerous person. Sergei s interactions consist of him being fearful of what the persons intentions are, he cannot accept that some people speak to him without having the intention of hurting him in some way. This inevitably
  • 51. The Winter s Tale By William Shakespeare In the play The Winter s Tale by William Shakespeare, exists two different types of characters: dynamic characters, meaning characters who change throughout the play by learning and growing through their experiences, and static characters, meaning characters that stagnate from the beginning to end. In particular, the most dynamic character in the play is King Leontes of Sicilia. In the beginning, Leontes believes in the self assumed belief that his wife, Queen Hermione, is having affairs with his childhood friend, King Polixenes of Bohemia. This belief was conspired by Leontes when he requested Hermione to convince Polixenes to prolong his visit in Sicilia after he himself had failed. When she did succeed, Leontes became diseased with jealousy and came to the assumption that Hermione and Polixenes have a special relationship together. With the authorial power he possesses as king, he sentenced his pregnant wife to prison for adultery. Though Hermione persists that he is wrong and there is a misunderstanding, Leontes, however, denies everything she says. In this, Leontes is seen as a stubborn tyrant who abuses his divine power as king to treat his wife as a lower being. He denies her right to speak and punishes her severely. Leontes says: You, my lords, Look on her, mark her well; be but about To say she is a goodly lady, and The justice of your hearts will thereto add Tis pity she s not honest, honourable: Praise her but for this her without door form,

Jean Marc Bosm Football Player For Belgian League Team The Bosman Ruling The ease and freedom with which clubs transfer players between one another today would not have been possible without the Bosman Ruling. Jean Marc Bosman was a football player for Belgian leagues team R.F.C de Liege, where he had a contract until June 30th, 1990. When R.F.C. de Liege offered Bosman a new contract with a 75 percent salary reduction, Bosman declined the offer and was automatically placed on the transfer list for the club. A second division team in France, USL Dunkerque, expressed interest in signing the player and both teams negotiated the transfer. USL Dunkerque agreed to pay 1,200,000 Belgian Francs for the first season and 4,800,000 Belgian Francs if they ended up acquiring the player after the end of ... Bosman also took legal action against UEFA, the European Football Association, to the European Court of Justice in an attempt to invalidate UEFA s gentlemen s agreement . The gentlemen s agreement, also known as the 3 plus 2 rule, allowed domestic leagues to set their own maximum number of foreign players that a particular club could have. The 3 plus 2 rule states that only three foreign players and two foreign players who had been in the country for more than five years could play on the field at the same time for a club in domestic matches. In April 1992, the Belgian Court of Justice declared no legal consequences for the suit, so Bosman decided to drop the charges against his club and the Belgian league in order to develop a new claim against UEFA. In his new claim, he stated that the 3 plus 2 rule and European transfer system breached the Articles 48, 85 and 86 of the Treaty of Rome, and they should be considered null and voided. (Lee, 1995) On December 15th, 1995 the European Court of Justice finally reached a verdict and the transfer market in European football was changed forever. According to Case C 415/93, The European Court of Justice ruled that it was illegal for clubs to stop players from moving clubs once their contracts have expired. The European Court of Justice also banned the restrictions that a club could have on the number of players that belong to the European Union. Before the rule was established, clubs had the

The company confirmed the evacuation of approximately 3,200 passengers and 1,000 crewmembers from the Costa Concordia. The press release stated that at the time, the cause of the incident could not be confirmed and assured the public that they were working with the highest commitment to provide all needed assistance to guests, crew members and the local Italian authorities . The statement poses questions by stating that approximately 1,000 passengers of Italian nationality were on board, as well as more than 500 Germans, and 250 North Americans. This only accounts for half of the number of passengers. Costa should have... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The key messages conveyed by Foschi were that the company has a strict safety policy, all crew behaved according to evacuation procedures and that the poor judgment of Captain Schettino caused the incident. Many questions and allegations were brought up during the conference such as reports that the captain left the ship before all passengers and crew had been evacuated. Foschi responded by saying, We are unable to ascertain whether he left the ship before the conclusion of the evacuation. Some internal testimony indicates that he really tried to stay on board but we have to wait for the formal investigation. So, Foschi stated that the company had to wait for the conclusion of the formal investigation to comment any further on that allegation, yet they were quick to put all the blame on the captain to mitigate their own liability. Foschi said that the captain wanted to salute the island of Giglio by bringing the ship close to the shore. He did not follow the authorized route that was frequently used by Costa Ships and brought the ship about 150 metres from the island where it struck the rock, which was clearly marked on charts. Foschi confirmed that on one other occasion, August 9th and 10th 2011, another Costa ship sailed close to shore but the path was approved by all necessary authorities and the ship was never less than 500 metres from the

We felt just like every other fan when we attended games and we even bought something from the Whistlestop Souvenir Store without the 15% discount. The cashiers didn t even ask if we were season ticket holders to remind us that we had a discount available. Promotions help keep customers, but failing to recognize them can hurt an organization when it is time to sell season tickets the next season. Some customers take advantage of the half season ticket plan. These tickets are $300 for the 100 level premium field box tickets and $200 for the reserved box tickets. With this plan, the Chiefs don t allow you to choose your own games. They have provided... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This plan is best for fans who are avid fans of baseball, but also have very busy schedules that they have to work around. You always hear people say that they don t want to commit to a date because it is too far in advance and they don t know if some other obligation will pop up in the mean time. The flex plan only costs $75 and offers the best mix of savings and convenience. The booklet is composed of 10 ticket vouchers that can be exchanged for any 2015 regular season home game for 100 level or 200 level premium or reserved seat tickets. Also, one voucher can be redeemed for 15% off merchandise at the Whistlestop Souvenir Store. This ticket plan is a perfect example of a benefit selling strategy. Benefit selling involves the creation of new benefits to offset the negative perceptions related to the sport product. As explained earlier, the excuse that one is too busy to commit to a season ticket plan is an example of a negative perception. By definition, benefit selling counteracts this negative perception by allowing the consumer to use the 10 vouchers at their own expense. Therefore, you could use all 10 vouchers for one game or spread them out throughout the season. The flex plan leaves the consumers in charge of how they plan to spend their money wisely and without restrictions. The Chiefs also benefit because the tickets are pre sold, so filling the seats does not depend on team performance, weather, or any other factors. The Chiefs don t typically sell out for big games because they are a minor league team. If the Chiefs were a major league team, these flex plan consumers wouldn t be guaranteed admission for whatever game they choose. Redemption would be based on availability of
