Annenberg / Connect2Texas events. Yesterday (November 9th, 2016) event had
several issues according to TTVN Operations and emails from Shirley and Lori. I

program went over the scheduled end time of 11:30am, causing the connection

The production staff needs to white balance their camera to bring the color range
back into the correct perspective. This has been an ongoing struggle through the
years. (My understanding is the production crew is an outsourced group not
affiliated with Annenberg). Currently, we connect to Annenberg via 2 Fiber
Strands and an SD codec. The video image that Connect2Texas is receiving is an
SD feed. There are plans in place to upgrade to an HD Codec located at Annenberg.
We have been aware that this is a concern and are working to address the issue with
the Annenberg staff. I truly believe that once the new equipment at Annenberg the
quality will improve. The image quality also seems to go down once all the schools
connect to Connect2Texas. This could be a bandwidth issue between the schools and
Connect2Texas. TTVN has tested several times with Connect2Texas a proven that
the connection between the 2 bridges is solid. Due to the large volume of schools
connecting to Connect2Texas, we will still potently see some loss in quality
