Persuasive Essay On Hollywood Scandal
Ever since Harvey Weinstein s extensive history of sexual harassment and sexual
abuse finally came to light thanks to some very brave women, Hollywood has
been in an uproar. The problem with this, besides the obvious violent and
disturbing acts that have occurred, is this is not at all surprising. Do you remember
when Bill Cosby was exposed and accused of drugging and raping over 50 women?
What about when Roman Polanski drugged and raped an underage girl in the 1970
s, fled to Europe, but still got to make movies that won Academy Awards. More

Compare And Contrast Emily Dickinson And James
Greenleaf...
Every good author knows that being able to paint a picture in a reader s head is
one of the most important parts of composition. But, does the reader always get the
image the author is trying to portray? Let s first start with, what is imagery?
Imagery is visually descriptive or figurative language, especially in a literary work.
This could be painting a scene in a readers mind, or it could be engaging all the
senses to give the reader every detail of what the character is going through. Two
authors that seem to effortlessly compose works with imagery are Emily Dickinson
and James Greenleaf Whittier. Emily Dickinson and James Greenleaf Whittier both
articulated imagery masterfully in their work. Dickinson showed this in Success Is
Counted Sweetest, and Whittier in Snowbound. Dickinson s imagery is more
sensory than Whittier s, which is more visual. The reader can see this when
comparing their poems. Dickinson s last stanza of Success Is Counted Sweetest,
makes the image described vivid, raising hairs on the readers neck. As he, defeated,
dying, On whose forbidden ear, The distant strains of triumph, Break, agonized and
clear. This stanza shows that this defeated soldier is tortured by the sounds of the
victory parade, even as he lies dying on the battlefield. But, he knows what victory is
in its entirety, because you must be totally denied something before you can truly
appreciate what it is. This is much more sensory than Whittier s lines from
Snowbound, which is more visual. All day the gusty north wind
Reincke 2bore, The loosening drift its breath before: Low circling round its southern
zone, The sun through dazzling snow mist shone. The reader sees the image more
than feels it. There is not as much meaning or theme behind it, except to describe a
scene. Both are windows into the characters life through the authors composition.
Imagery is essential to the deeper and complete understanding of an author s work, be
it a poem or an essay. Whittier focused more on the image, how the character saw the
landscape, not how they were feeling in the space. A complete image would be the
character inside, looking out the window with hands wrapped around a coffee mug,
fire crackling behind them. Even
Anger In The Absurd Theatre
Anger is a feeling that can be associated with physiology or psychology. Many
factors such as race, class, gender, ethnicity, religion can cause anger. Anger could
be perceived as something natural but also could be perceived as something
disastrous. Anger is not like any feeling as because it is the most severe feeling.
Although it is the most dangerous feeling, people always get angry due to many
reasons (Kim10). Goldhor lerner stated that: Anger is a signal .... It may be a
message that we are being hurt, that our rights are being violated; that our needs or
wants are not being adequately met or simply that something is not right (1).
According to Seneca, anger is a catastrophe that leads to bad things. He argued...

It is used to describe working class life. The writers in that time tended to use real
words, real behaviors and real thoughts. The settings that were depicted in the
plays were also real. Osborne s Look Back in Anger, (1956) reflect his criticism of
his society. Osborne s anger was represented by the major character, Jimmy Porter,
who is angry and he is not satisfied with the society. The struggle between the
middle and the upper classes was tackled through Porter and Alison. The title of
Look Back in Anger reflects his anger. Most of the titles at that time reflected
anger, wrath, and depression as people were not satisfied with the authority and the
social system (Innes 98 103). Osborne s The Entertainer (1957) was a significance
work. Osborne s hero is Archie Rice, who rejected his society and everything in his
life. The settings and the titles of Osborne s plays were accurately chosen to deliver
his message. Osborne reflected how people were not happy and they were really

Monroe Doctrine Dbq Essay
James Monroe s presidency was comprised in the field of foreign policies and
international affairs. An everlasting proclamation called The Monroe Doctrine
possessed immense political power to open the obstacles for the United States for
further domination later down the road, and to set the belief of Americasfor the
Americans (Hart). The Monroe Doctrinewas no doubt the correct response to
international pressures at the time with lasting influence to the present day. For
starters, the Monroe Doctrine further clarified the position of the United States, and
shared an initial response when the problem arose about settlements within North
America. Since 1821, Britain and Russia s movement along the Pacific caught

President Monroe resisted any action, which would create the impression of the
United States clarifying a position to Great Britain. Moreover, agreeing on a
declaration together alongside Britain would leave a substantial pledge against the
United States when Texas or even Cuba tried to solicit a union with the States in
periods of conflict (Lancaster). If the States were to openly support Britain upon their
decision to make public denouncements about colonization in the Americans, the
States would have been questioned about its intentions when the government formed
an alliance alongside another American territory or country. Although President
Monroe was indecisive when replying to Britain s proposal, for fear Europe would
discover former colonies in South America, (Lancaster) he did not hesitate to begin
the initial draft of his famous message to the Congress. Regardless of Britain s new

The Importance Of The National Park System
Although sites in the National Park System can sometimes be difficult to categorize
due to their diversity, each site is given a designation that attempts to best capture the
nature and uses of site. As determined by Congress in 1970, all units within the
system have equal legal standing. This means that all sites within the National Park
System have equal protection under the law. The National Park System falls under
the purview of the Department of the Interior.
Designations within the National Park System include:
* National Park* National Historical Park* National Recreation Area* National
Parkway
* National Monument* National Memorial* National Seashore* National Trail
* National Preserve* National Battlefield* National Lakeshore* Affiliated Areas
* National Historic Site* National Cemetery* National River* Other Designations
Information on the National Park and National Monument designation are detailed in

The Career Of A Physician
Introduction
It wasn t until recently, a few years ago, that I decided what career I wanted to
pursue. I first started off joining the military right out of high school and after my
fist enlistment of six years did I know that the military career field I was is (Food
Service) wasn t for me. I knew with my own personal experiences that I have
encountered through the military that I enjoyed helping people, and volunteering at
hospitals. I have always loved biology and anatomy, its remarkable what the human
body can accomplish. So when my enlistment was coming to an end I knew I would
take this change to go college using my military benefits. I knew right away I wanted
to do something in the medical career field, but wasn t sure which path to ... Show

very well for my personality as well as my career goals I have for myself. I believe I
can be happy do this career for the rest of my life.
About the Profession
As a physician assistant (PA) one can work in a variety of different settings; hospital,
private practice, government, and educational. I personality would like to reenter
the military with my PA degree and continue to serve the military until I reach
retirement, when than would apply to work for a veteran s hospital. As a PA your
job is to help and care for the sick, I cannot think of a better setting where people
are more deserving of treatment and care then military members. I would like to
help make sure patients are being listened to as well as proper care, I know from
previous experience that not all military healthcare providers take time to listen
and make their patients feel secure due to the high volume of patients and low
number of healthcare workers. But I would make it a point to try my best to
change at my end. I would like to specialize in dermatology, however I am still
open to new areas being that I haven t had much experience in any given specialties
yet. I really like that as a PA you are under the direct supervision of a doctor, and at
anytime they can step in. Most would see this as undermining, yet I see it as

Leg Pain in a 22 Year Old Female Soccer Player
A 22 year old female soccer player has had a 3 month history of deep aching pain in
the antero lateral right leg and on some occasions, bilaterally (1). The pain occurs
within 15 to 20 minutes of her training regime or upon commencing a run. She
reported symptoms of tightness in her anterior leg, and weakness of ankle dorsi
flexors (1). She described that symptoms worsened as the exercise duration was
prolonged. When activity ceased, symptoms were alleviated, though pain would
return if she re engaged in the activity. Upon attempting to continue training, she
developed numbness in the foot. On examination, mild tenderness was noted on
palpation of the antero lateral compartment (1).
This case study presents an individual who is experiencing frequent leg pain upon
participation in physical activity. Leg pain is a common condition experienced by
competitive and recreational athletes. However, the diagnosis of leg pain can be
difficult as there are numerous possible underlying contributors. A thorough
comprehension of human anatomy and biomechanics is essential for a proper
understanding (2). Chronic Exertional Compartment Syndrome is one of the most
common conditions experienced by athletes (1,2). Of a group of 150 athletes who
reported exercise induced pain, 33 % were diagnosed with chronic exertional
compartment syndrome (CECS) (2). Although mostly athletes experience CECS, it is
still prevalent amongst non athletes (3).

What Is Nuclear Explosion Revealed In Will Baker s Grace...
After all the clues he still was not expecting what was about to hit him. While

the fireball and the electromagnetic pulse. Sadly the man is not going to have a

In the story Grace Period there was a man doing yard work outside when he starts

Mccaw Cellular Communications Case Summary
Introduction:
McCaw Cellular Communications is a cellular telephone pioneer in the United States
is faced with a challenging decision regarding the future of the firm. The direction of
the company will depend on whether CEOs of McCaw Cellular Communication and
AT T agree on an appropriate price of the company. In order to capture the value of
McCaw Cellular Communications, three financial valuation models were developed
while taking into account the trends in the industry and potential synergies from the
take over.
Valuation Model #1: Comparable Transactions: As mentioned in the business life

outstanding growth potential. From the period of October 1989 and ... Show more

Calculating the As Is multiple value is only the first in the valuation process. In
order to calculate the appropriate multiple, improvements, synergies and future
options have to be taken into account. The acquisition of McCaw by AT T will
create several hard synergies through cost savings of advertising, lower cost of
debt through refinancing using AT T favorable credit rating and lower SG A
through economies of scale. These hard synergies will increase the As Is multiple
by 1. Moreover, the acquisition of McCaw by AT T will create soft revenue
synergies through geographical expansion of AT T to markets where McCaw is
dominant and vice versa. Also, soft synergies can be capitalized through the cross
selling of AT T s hardware products with the wireless services of McCaw ( Refer to
Exhbit B for Marketing Mix Analysis). Due to their uncertainty, the soft synergy
will only increase the As Is multiple by 0.50. Lastly, Mr. Craig McCaw would
require a premium for giving up control of the company which requires adding 0.25
to the As Is multiple. The final multiple for McCaw Cellular will equal to 11.84+
0.25+1+0.5 = 13.59. It is important to mention that incorporation of future options
was ignored due to the lack of information in the case. The multiple is multiplied by
the forward revenue (1314) in 1993 which yields a value of $17.857 billion.
Valuation Model#3: Discounted Cash Flow:
This model is more complicated compared to the previous two
Mccarthyism In The Salem Witch Trials
The False Accusations of McCarthyism shown in The Salem Witch Trials The hunt
for a scapegoat is the easiest of all hunting expeditions, Dwight D. Eisenhower. You
can distinguish from this that he is trying to relay the message that when you re
pursuing someone to blame, there are many people to cast it on. This concept is
pertinent to the Salem Witch Trials and the McCarthy trials because the supposed
witches and communists were just scapegoats for the fret that the common man had.
In the Witch Trials, there were 19 people hung, guilty of not confessing and naming
names of other people commit witchcraft. Joesph McCarthy of McCarthyism

In Act two, Elizabeth says, But we sure never loved the Devil here. (p. 66). Later
she is discovered guilty of witchcraft and dodges the noose because they found out
she was pregnant. In McCarthyism, this would be someone declining the
accusation, which generally didn t go well for them. This is trialed by, in Act 3,
You must understand, sir, that a person is either with this court or must be counted
against it, there is no road in between. (p. 94). Danforth said this to John Proctor.
Proctor was speaking out against the court, and was later hanged. In the McCarthy
trials, this would mean if you didn t support the trials, then you would be put on the
blacklist. In Act 4, Proctor was confessing being a witch, but he failed to name
names and was still executed. Danforth was very upset that he didn t accuse others
and said, ...you have most certainly seen some person with the Devil... (p. 140) This
provides in these two events, confessing wasn t good enough, you were forced to
name the names of other guilty people. The lines from the play transition into ideas

Notes on Nationalism- A2 Government and Politics
Nationalism
The nature of the nation and the differences between nations and states.
A nation can be defined as a group of people who consider themselves to have
common circumstances at birth. These common circumstances are strong enough for
them to adopt collective goals based on their national identity. Nationalism is
therefore an emotional phenomenon felt by the people.
There are a number of typical circumstances of birth that may give rise to nationhood
including having a single common ancestor, a common historical experience,
common culture, ethnic identity, geographical proximity, religion, attachment to
territory.
A state is a political reality. It either exists or it doesn t. In contrast to the concept of
nation, it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Civic nationalism is much more inclusive as it s the citizenship which joins people,
and citizenship can be achieved by anyone. * Ethnic nationalism: nationhood is
defined by language, religion, customs and traditions. According to ethnic
nationalists, it is not the state that creates the nation but the nation, which creates the
state. The glue that holds people together is not shared political rights, but pre
existing ethnic characteristics. Ethnic nationalism is more exclusive as it believes
that not everyone can become a part of a particular nation state.
The nation state and its alleged benefits
Maintains law and order within the territory
Secures the state against external threats
Develops and maintains useful relations with other states
Regulates the currency, the operation of markets and the economy in general.
Maintains the welfare of its people
Promotes economic and social progress
Protects and improves the physical environment of the country.
Relationship between nationalism and liberalism * Liberal nationalists demand that
every recognisable nation has the right to freedom from subjection to the rule of
other nations and states. * Liberalism demanded that every individual should be free,
thus so should be every individual state. * The freedom of nations and the freedom
of individuals were inextricable linked, and individuals could not be free unless the

Appliance Station must now raise $75 million to modernize the two plants and

Appliance Station would net $75 million after $5 million cost. 2) a bond issue, ten

Questions
What is the risk of issuing bond?
First, debentures means without any security, it s paid back up on company s
earning. Appliance Station needs to get rating for its bond. If the rating is not good
such as BB, then it s not easy to sell the bond and the interest rate will be higher, so
the company might not raise enough money. Second, Appliance station needs to pay
interest for the bond. (AAA rating s interest is the lowest around 1%). If the company

Discrimination In The Greek System
Greek letter organizations are exclusive by nature because they pick their own
members. Yet, there has been a recent increase in discrimination within the Greek
System, especially against race and membership within the LGBTQ+ community. At
the University of Michigan, the Greek System is predominantly white, with
multicultural councils like the NPHC and the MGC having lower numbers of
members than white councils (Cohen Interview). It s important to remember that
African Americans, Latinos, Asian Americans, and other minority groups, excluded
from fraternities at the moment s inception ... created their own Greek Life
organizations (Hechinger 8). In other words, these non white organizations came

Hazing is a method of humiliation performed on new members of fraternities and
occasionally sororities (Morton Interview). Examples include forcing people to drink
alcohol against their will, consume unpalatable or spoiled foods, perform excessive
amounts of strenuous exercises, and many other unsafe activities (DeSantis 171).
This tradition of embarrassing new members affects any group of people with a
hierarchical membership or a structure where you have people who are trying to gain
entry to an organization (Cohen Interview). This unhealthy custom snowballs each
year, meaning sophomore members hazed last year will most likely haze this years
freshmen (Cohen Interview). Hazing can become hazardous and even life threatening

Gruver had to recite the Greek Alphabet from memory; if he messed up, he had to

Review 24 Samba Carnival
About Samba Carnival
It doesn t get much more exciting and sultry than the Samba Carnival outside of
taking all that excitement and sexiness and turning it into a slot game packed with
prizes and bonus games. This is just what Play N Go did when they put together a
game that offers players 5 reels and 15 paylines to enjoy while listening to samba
music and enjoying the carnival atmosphere and the brightly coloured fireworks
lighting up the night sky. The carnival is filled with the beauties of South America
wearing their skimpiest Mardi Gras outfits, with Wild Maracas that multiply all
throughout the night and some bonus bongos that offer up to 150x your bet.
There are plenty of slot games out that promise to put punters in the party mood, but
very few seldom deliver on the promise. Showing that Play N Go is in the spirit of
the summer season, they are letting the reels rock in Samba Carnival, but does this
game have enough within its ranks to have your partying in the street? Read on to

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Mutual Fund
1.1Introduction of financial market:
High return and high risk are correlated to each other and the same can be applied in
financial market. In financial matters, the term market implies the total of purchasers
and vendors and the exchanges between them. A financial market is a market where
the participant s sale and purchase financial securities, commodities and other
negotiable items of value at a pre determined price derived from demand and supply
mechanism.
Figure.1.1: Financial Market Components
The financial markets have basically two major components:

Every investment company appoints a fund manager who invests the money in
different investment opportunities. These could run from shares to debentures to
currency market instruments, contingent on the plan s expressed targets. The income
earned through these investments and the capital appreciation acknowledged by the
plan is shared by its unit holders in extent to the quantity of units claimed by them.
Therefore a Mutual Fund is the most appropriate investment for the investor as it
offers a chance to put resources into an enhanced, professionally managed basket of
securities at a moderately low cost. Mutual fund schemes are offered on the basis of
structure and investment objectives.
a)Structure based schemes:
i)Open Ended Schemes: These schemes do not have a fixed maturity period. Under
this an investor can buy and sell the units at any point of time. The main feature of
this scheme is liquidity which enables the investor to invest and redeem units at any
point of time in the scheme. ii) Close Ended Schemes: The schemes have a fixed
maturity of say 2 to 15 years. One can directly buy the investment in the scheme at the
time of issue and thereafter sell the units of the scheme on the stock exchange where
they are listed. The units of these scheme were redeemed at NAV (Net Asset
Analysis Of Body Like A Back Road
Throughout history, there has always been some form of music; however, the form
and style have changed over time. During the twentieth century, the gap between
classical music and the popular music widened, as people picked more of what
they thought sounded pleasant. One of the popular styles today is country and an
example is Body Like a Back Road by Sam Hunt, which was released in February
2017 as a single from his upcoming album. Body Like a Back Road is a song that
has a complex and changing texture which is created by varied musical elements and
composition throughout the piece. Throughout Body Like a Back Road, the texture
shifts depending on the section and the topic. Texture in musicis defined as the
combination of musical parts to compose the overall feeling and sound of a piece.
The first portion of the song has a texture that is average for the piece, which sets
the overall jovial mood for the whole song. This mood is caused by the overlapping
of instruments and the rhythm. The main melody is played by an electric guitar,
which is then layered with the acoustic guitar. There is also an organ, drums, and
some background chatter which hooks the listener to listen to the song and makes
them want to join whatever else is going on. As the song goes into the first verse,
extra percussion and some bass was added which makes it a more dense texture.
Also, the tune shifts to a more hip hop feel rather than a classic country feeling
which draws in the listener as
The Cold, Silent House
He, who meant everything to my life, was laying helplessly on the floor, shaking
violently like an uncontrollable earthquake. But, I could not do anything about it,
and I did not know what to do. All I did was stand there and watch, and cry, and be
useless. I regret so much what I did not do. During it all, outside snow was gently
falling to the ground while the winter season just began. My eleven year old body
was snuggled against the corner of my couch curled up into a ball like shape. My
five year old dogand I were alone in the cold, silent house before it all happened. No
matter how young you are, staying calm is only way to be useful in a critical situation.
I was curled up on my favorite corner of the couch with Buddy, my dog, on ... Show

His entire body remained still, except his distressings eyes locked in a gaze with
my eyes, as if he was trying to tell me something. I knew something was wrong
because everytime I talked in that high pitched doggy voice to Buddy, he would
alway wags his tail and waver his long, wet tongue back and forth in the air. My
heart beated a tiny bit faster.
Hey Buddy what s wrong baby, I asked him in the same tone of voice hoping for
him to show me some sign that he is okay. His tail remained still and his eyes
remained locked on mine. I could not figure out what was wrong with him.
Suddenly, his eyes started to gently close. My heart quickly dropped to my
stomach like a fast elevator on its way down from the top floor to the lobby. I did
not know what was happening. Was he dying? Was he sleeping? Was he sick?
Trying to find the missing pages to this, I realized I had to do something. I
unwrapped myself from the fuzzy blue polka dotted blanket and laid next to my dog.
I noticed he was shaking a little bit.
Hey Bud, are you cold? I asked him hoping that was it. I took the blanket that I was
just using and put it on him. I needed to call my mom. I could not find a house
phone. I went upstairs hoping it was in parents bed like usual. That was a mistake. I
came down stairs empty handed frustrated with my inconsiderate family for always
misplacing the house phones. I went to check on Buddy. He was in a different spot
on the carpet as he was before.

With the video game industry being the fastest growing sector of the growing
entertainment industry, the industry s revenue has now reached $26 billion in
annual revenue and there is currently no indication of decline in the industry. So, in
order to identify how the revenue is distributed, it s essential to look at the supply

in many aspects of the console business, coming from the actual console sales as

5.3 Business Models
There are several business models contributing to the revenue income for the PS3.
Obviously, sales of the actual console initially generate the biggest revenue. But, as
reported by several news agencies, Sony actually makes a loss on each console
bought by a consumer. [26] As reported by several sources, a PS3 costs between
$725 and $905 to manufacture, but is sold for $599 in the US market. The reason for
the high manufacturing price is the high cost of components such as the Blu Ray
DVD, XDR memory etc. (More on that chapter 8).
To support several streams of revenue there are three business models for
distribution supported by the PS3. Since the console is making a loss per sold unit,
there are other ways for Sony to catch up on the income and make a profit in the
console business through other business models. The business models are:
However, comparing the business models for the PS3 tells us that there are several
possible models for generating revenue and profit for the console. Most notably, the
Internet Gaming via the PlayStation network and the developer licenses are possible
sources of potential profit.

Women s Role In The American Corrections System
The American corrections system has many facets to it as well as many challenges
that each and every individual within its system must learn to cope with. Not
everyone who is in some sector of the corrections system can deal with what
corrections entails because the life that they led outside of the correctionssystem isn t
always the same. This can especially be said for women who find themselves part of
the corrections system simply because of the role that women generally face within
their homes.
Corrections is defined as, the variety of programs, services, facilities, and
organizations responsible for the management of individuals who have been accused
or convicted or criminal offenses (Clear, 2013). This includes corrections officers, ...

corrections system. There were three principles found to be of importance for this
time of prison reform and they were, (1) separation of women prisoners from men,
(2) provision of differential care, and (3) management of women s prisons by
female staff (Clear, 2013). Basically the concern was female prisoners to be house
separately from the male prisoners in a facility ran by female staff.
In state prisons it is estimated that women account for nearly twenty five percent of
the workforce (Clear, 2013). However in the Federal Bureau of Prisons it is estimated
that women only account for approximately thirteenth percent of the officers (Clear,
2013). Out of the total population of prison inmates, only approximately seven
percent are female whereas the population of female jail inmates is approximately
twelve percent.
An issue that is of concern is the safety of female officers when working within a
male prison facility. In 2013, a female officer at the Arizona State Prison Complex in
Winslow was brutally beaten by two inmates to the point of being placed in the
hospital. Officer Benavidez was escorting 50 unrestrained male inmates when two of
them inmates proceeded to brutally attack her. According to a statement from her
boyfriend, the first one hit her and knocked her out. He climbed on top of her and
continued to pound her head. There was another one, and
Fitzgerald Use The Color Gold In The Great Gatsby
The Great Gatsby is considered one of the greatest American novels. This novel is
set in the early 1920 s about a man named Jay Gatsby trying to win the heart of his
long lost love Daisy. Fitzgerald writes everything for a purpose. He is not the kind of
writer that puts random colors, throughout the book just for fun. In The Great Gatsby,
Fitzgerald utilizes the colors of gold and green as symbols with a deeper meaning to
reality. Fitzgerald incorporates many different deep, rich colors. The Great Gatsby,
colors function as symbols to reveal larger themes such as prosperity and hope.
Fitzgerald uses the color gold the most throughout The Great Gatsby to show
richness and prosperity of the 1920 s golden age. For example this is where Nick

this is the only thing he is holding out too because he knows that he will achieve

Gatsby. You always have a green light that burns all night at the end of your dock.

professed his love to daisy in front of Tom. And Gatsby waits outside of Daisy s
house and then the green light is no longer there because all hope is lost now for
Gatsby s dream. This was a platform of what Gatsby was all about and that he had a
strong hope for her that nothing would ever stop him from loving
Modernism In A Soldier s Home
Modernist literature began between 1915 1935, writers mainly wrote fiction this is
because they started to question what the future was going to bring since they were
living through both World War. Modernists wrote their stories in first person which
made their stories seem like a stream of consciousness, irony and satires. This type
of literature was mainly written in English and became well known due to the
increase of globalization, which was more about how the people felt about the
events going on and how the people were affected in other words it spoke from the
inner self of the writer. Many famous writers including Ernest Hemingway, Langston
Hughes, and F. Scott Fitzgerald believed that the increase in new technology was

Reflection On Quantum Leadership
I found this week s modules and reading assignments incredibly helpful and highly
motivating. Numerous concepts struck me as innovative and wise, and I can honestly
say that I anticipate being able to implement the various methods and styles of
effective leadership delineated in the course material. In particular, I am drawn to
Transformational Leadershipas well as the Theory of Quantum Leadership, the latter
being an entirely new concept to me. Introduced in the 1990s, the Theory of Quantum
Leadership posits that effective leaders realize the inevitability and constancy of
change, collaborate with subordinates in the identification and realization of both
goals and opportunities, and empower those around them to be effective and
productive. It is traits such as these that are particularly vital during times of
upheaval, transition, and change. The theory places importance on understanding and
acknowledging the complexities and dynamics of the environment and context, as
this awareness has been found to have a palpable positive effect on productivity,
organization, and more. Indeed, the authors of Leadership Roles and Management

At the beginning of sixth grade there are different struggles for everybody, my
main struggle was technology. I didn t understand Powerschool, or TCSD Live,

figured Canvas would always be hard and I would never understand. In my fifth
grade class, we never used computers, unless we were in computer class. I had been
on Canvas once before sixth grade and didn t understand it in the least bit, I never
thought I would need to use Canvas, (I was wrong.) I didn t know how to use
Powerschool, because I never used it in fifth grade. Also in fifth grade we never

stupid when I realized that I wasn t the only one who didn t understand Canvas.

going to like being behind or accepting the fact that you don t understand
something, but trust me if you can just be patient with the teacher, you will get
there and Canvas will become easier. This worked for me and I hope that this will

can do to make it easier for you are, try not to get panicked if you are behind, I
know this is hard, but I know you can do it. Another thing that helps is to use your
relationships with teachers and friends to help you, it s not hard to ask a friend to
help you, they won t think you are stupid and neither will the

In this, so called, utopia of their own dreams, people temporary keep away from
problems of reality. Virtual Reality technology also does create a utopia to explore,
however, in contrast to imagination the other world is not invented in mind, but is
truly there. June Deery, professor of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy says
whereas in fiction we imagine and empathize, in cyberspace we are supposed to
actually step into the other world. It seems the integration and spreading of Virtual
Reality realizes reveries and at first glance gives the impression that this is leading
to a number of advantages, such as comforts and eases. It would be a lie to deny
this fact. However at the same time the rapid progress of technology may lead to the
fact that man will transform the world into a place where he/she will suffer because
of his/her own inventions.
Up to our days communication between people has already been technologically
modernized and in the future this tendency will probably continue. As Rheingold

Physics Essay
Physics
You can find a law of physics in everything that you do. It does not matter if you are
doing complex scientific experiments, working as a laborer in a field, or enjoying
your favorite pastime, you are involved in putting the laws of physics to work. I will
try to demonstrate this as I discuss the laws of physics that are involved in my
favorite pastime, which is steer wrestling.
The art of steer wrestling is complex and simple all at the same time. To start, let s
define what exactly steer wrestling is. Steer wrestling is a rodeo event that is also
known as bull dogging. This is the event where there are two mounted cowboys that
run along the side of a steer. When they get close to the steer the cowboy on the left
hand ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The next step, as mentioned above is changing the steer s direction. This is done by
using the steer s momentum and his horns. In this process I will discuss the laws and
ideas of torque, centripetal forces, and the idea of center of mass.
As I mentioned in the paragraph above, I will first discuss the collisions involved
in the sport of steer wrestling. To properly discuss the collisions let s talk about he
linear momentum involved in the sport. There are two things that carry
momentum in this sport, one being the bulldogger who is riding the horse, and the
second being the steer that is being bulldogged. According to our physics text book
A World View, it states that linear momentum is defined as, the product of an
objects inertial mass and its velocity. (p. 106). Therefore linear momentum = mass
x velocity. Knowing this equation we can figure out the momentums carried by
both the bulldogger and the steer. For instance if the bulldogger weighed as much
as I do, which is 200 lbs and his horse ran 35 mph, we can figure his momentum
using the formula above. Let s do that exactly, p = 200 lbs x 35 mph. To do this
correctly lets change the lbs into kilograms and the mph into meters per second, 200
lbs = 90.90 kilograms, and 35 mph = 15.65 m/s. Knowing these new figures, we can
now find the momentum of the steer wrestler which would be
Superego In Regarding Henry

superego. Although Henry had the life everyone thinks they want, He realized he
had nothing everyone else had after he got shot. He began to understand that Love
and affection is so much greater than fame, success and money. After figuring his
life out again, he was able to handle things with a more level head. He realized what
a selfish person he was and began to react differently to things. If every person was
given the chance to look at their life from a different perspective, would everyone
be able to see their faults like Henry was able to? The ID is very relevant in the
beginning of the movie. Henry was beyond selfish. He always wanted the best thing

He exhibited both the ID and superego in this scene because he proved himself to
be very selfish walking into the store demanding his needs over others in the store

everything. Henry was from zero to one hundred very quickly in this scene. After
the attack he began to change his ways and morals. Although he did not recognize
his family, He was able to see the love and support they have for him. Henry s
superego really became visible as soon as he woke up. He had a heart and cared
for everyone, He even gave the door man a hug! He devoted his time to his family,
although he was nervous to go home, he decided the one memory of the carpet
while tying his daughter s shoes was enough for him. While recovering, Henry had
time to reflect on himself and his life and realized he hated the person he was
before and wanted to change things. He grew closer to both his daughter and his
wife and ended up quitting his job. In the end, His superego became more of his
natural state. He was able to react more morally with few mistakes here and there
because he was learning everything all over
Evaluating Skin Care Products
Skin care products over the years have made a number of promises all relating to
turning back the hands of time and making people more youthful and beautiful
looking. If there was an actual method of doing such a thing by simply applying
some skin care product, they wouldn t have to make such promises as everybody
would have heard about it.
I m not saying that there is nothing that helps with improving ones skin and how they
look, I m just saying that there is no miraculous product that has been invented as of
yet. There are certain products that can help to eliminate fine lines and wrinkles, and
there are certain products that will help you look better as you age but there is no
one answer that fits everybody s needs the same way.
It is normal for a person s skin to age along with that person and develop a bit of
maturing, the question is when does the line get crossed from aging horribly to aging
gracefully? That is the million dollar question. ... Show more content on

Now, not every product is right for every person, meaning not everyone will react
the same way to a particular product. To further explain, it s like how people react
to having headaches. For some Aspirin is the magic pill, and for others Aspirin
doesn t work but Tylenol does. Very much a similar story when it comes to skin care
products.
My own personal suggestion is that the best starting off point for trying to heal,
repair, restore and replenish skin to a more youthful appearance is to start the quest
off by trying a Vitamin C serum. Vitamin C can do wonders for the skin, and it
should be the first line of defense against any further damage to the skin.
Vitamin C, in order for it to work the best in terms of skin care has to be utilized and
applied in a topical form, such as in a serum. Vitamin C itself is water soluble and the
body will not store it for later

Introduction
Imagine yourself on a farm. Out in the middle of a Michigan field. This isn t a
modern farm with tractors, combines, hay bailers, and trucks to move everything
around. It is small. Very quiet. Just you and a horse. You need that horse to do
everything. You and your family are dependent on that animal to feed, clothe, and
house yourselves. This was the life of a young Henry Ford in the late 1800 s. Henry
really didn t like those animals, or how dependent he was on them. He was certain
that there was a better way to do everything he relied on them so much for. Then, as
fate would have it, he learned about the internal combustion engine. Right about then,
Henry Ford began to shape his vision. (Ford, 2012a)
This paper will describe how he was a visionary leader. How he used transactional

Analysis Of The Poem Of Modern Poetry By Wallace...
Taking a broad view at one of Wallace Stevens s poems shows clues that Stevens
believes in Heraclitus s theory. One poem in particular, Of Modern Poetry, is a good
example of Wallace Stevens work because it is about the subject matter of poetry
(Gallagher https://pfeiffer.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http://search.proquest.com.
pfeiffer.idm.oclc.org/docview/216773018?accountid=13172). In the poem it is
obvious that neither Wallace Stevens or his poems will tell you what they are about
until they have been heavily studied, and this is a major component of the Heraclitus
theory because it is not straight forward and requires that the reader think critically to
uncover the answers (Gallagher https://pfeiffer.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http:/
/search.proquest.com. pfeiffer.idm.oclc.org/docview/216773018?accountid=13172).
The poem Of Modern Poetryalso talks about in twenty eight lines, broken into three
sections by indentation rather than by space breaks or numbers, he covers the state of
poetry in the past; spends the larger portion of the poem on prescriptions for the

This break down of the poem is another huge piece of evidence toward the belief that
Wallace Stevens was a Heraclitian theorist because believes believed in the past and

Isom, 30, a self styled innovator and entrepreneur. Prior to this venture, she had spent
several years in North Carolina promoting a behavior modification clinic.
Isom determined that many people were very concerned about developing good
health habits, yet they seemed unable to break away from their old habits because of
the pressures of day to day living. She reasoned that they might have a chance for
much greater success in a pleasant and socially supportive environment, where good
health habits were fostered. Accordingly, she established Health Cruises, Inc., hired
10 consulting psychologists and health specialists to develop a program, and
chartered a ship. DeForrest Young, a Miami management consultant, became the
chairperson of Health Cruises. Seven of Isom s business associates contributed an
initial capital outlay totaling more than $250,000. Of this amount, $65,000 went for
the initial advertising budget, $10,000 for other administrative expenses, and
$220,000 for the ship rental and crew.

Short Essay About The Tango
The tango is Argentina s national dance. The tango is a dance that defies

midnight and last till four or five in the morning. They would even do them on the
week days. Although many people think the tango is a flamboyant dance, the essence
of the Milonga style is subtle. To dance the tango, you must stay very calm. The tango

St. Lucy s Home For Girls Raised By Wolf Summary
St. Lucy s Home for Girls Raised by Wolves by Karen Russell is an interesting
piece of literature. This story is about girls who act like wolves, they are sent to St.

character) who has to adjust to being human. Claudette develops as the stages

Pan s Labyrinth
The founder of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud, developed a wide variety of
psychoanalytic theories that are often used to analyze a diverse body of literary and
artistic works. An example being, the Family Romance theory. It is an abnormal state
of mind a child enters during the pre pubescent stage. It consists of the child
fantasizing that they are not the biological son or daughter of their parents. This
occurs when a parent fails to reciprocate affection to their child; consequently, urging
them to seek retaliation through imaginary means. The Family Romance theory
explains the cultural phenomenon behind children detaching themselves from their
parents in order to gain independence. It is a psychological concept featured within
the family dynamic of Guillermo del Toro s 2006 film Pan s Labyrinth . Pan s
Labyrinth depicts the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War through the eyes of
Ophelia, an innocent child, and the magical realm she comes across in the woods. In
the film, it is Ophelia s lack of a father figure, rivalry between... Show more content

Yet, Ofelia continues to love her mother unconditionally. However, Carmen s
neglectfulness, similarly to the child in Freud Family Romances, has caused
Ofelia to criticize her mother for disregarding her. As a result, Ofelia decides to
detach herself from her mother. It is a task that each adolescent must do in order to
become an independent being. The fantasies and magical beings Ofelia created
allowed her to mature into an adult. In doing so, Ofelia is also able to save the life
of her younger brother after being relinquished from her mother s parental rule.
Ofelia is able to become her own person because of the many circumstances she was
involved in throughout the film. Had Ofelia not been neglected by her mother
throughout the course of her pregnancy, Ofelia would not have achieved
independence as well as
Launching the Bmw Z3 Roadster
In the mid 1990 s, BMW decided to launch a new vehicle titled the BMW Z3
Roadster, its first car to be manufactured in North America. BMW wanted to
capitalize on the decline of the motorcycle market with a roadster sports car that was
targeted at driver excitement and emotional fantasy for drivers. The Z3 initiative
provided the important opportunity to increase market share and build a stronger
brand connection with Americans. Its success would influence how Americans
related to all BMWproducts moving forward, shaping overall brand strength across
market segments. The Z3 Roadster launch also needed to be done with the context of
BMW s redesigned 5 series and their role as the official international automotive
sponsor of the 1996... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Our recommendation is to use an even combination of traditional and non traditional
marketing in the next phase. BMW should use traditional marketing such as T.V. and
print advertising to continue to promote their quality reputation that the Z3 was
born into. They should use the brand equity the Z3 is building in the U.S. as a
gateway for selling other models to Americans such as the redesigned 5 series. Non
traditional methods should remain a part of the mix to sustain the positive buzz
created in the first phase and compliment their Olympic sponsorship by utilizing the
excitement of the games. An example would be endorsements from popular
Olympians featuring the similar characteristics shared with world class athletes and
the Z3, such as speed and performance. They can also use non traditional methods
to maintain contact with consumers and put a positive spin on the lack of product
availability by running a contest to win a new Z3 when they arrived. In addition, an
increased global vision is needed for BWM to gain popularity worldwide and
increase global market share. The second phase should consider ways that the U.S. Z3
strategy can be incorporated into other markets in the future.
Today, BMW North America is currently looking for a new ad agency and is
focusing on TV and social media to promote new and redesigned vehicles. Their
marketing team reported in February that their budget break down would be 68%
for national TV, 8% for local TV, 15% for

What I Want To Do When You Stand Out To You Essay
Hey guys, so today if you re in Cook s classes you know that we did this awesome
game called Walk the Line. It s questions that you can either agree or disagree to
and explain your reasoning. Well the last day for them was today, and one question
really stood out to me. It was Anyone can succeed if you work hard enough. I totally
agree with this statement because of my own personal experiences and the famous
motivational speaker, Eric Thomas who has inspired me to push to my limits to
become a better me. When you wantto change and become that better person you ve
always strived to be, YOU WILL GO TO THE BRIM OF LIMITS TO GET THERE.
So many people say that even if you do work hard enough you won t succeed. But

Queen Mary Stuart Of Scotland And Queen Elizabeth I Of...
In the renaissance period of history, there was a feud that came about that dominated
Europe. Cousins, Queen Mary Stuart of Scotland and Queen Elizabeth I of England,
formed an unpleasant relationship that ended with execution. The scandalous rivalry
between Mary, Queen of Scots and Queen Elizabeth I had a profound effect on the
politics of their time. Queen Elizabeth I was much more regal than her cousin, Mary
Stuart of Scotland, and ruled her kingdom with poise and sophistication. When
Elizabeth came into power, she had to rebuild the ruins that her half sister, Mary I,
had left of England. The job proved to be difficult, but Elizabeth was successful and
she became well known for her way of ruling with determination (Smith). After her...

Queen Elizabeth spent great amounts to build up the weak and unprepared English
navy so the soldiers could fight (Smith). Family members heavily influenced the
decisions and actions in which either queen took as it was important to account for
their family s opinion, and they used family members to get at each other. The
queens themselves were cousins as Henry VIII was their uncle, so Mary Stuart
had Tudor blood in her (Sharnette 1). After Mary came back to Scotland, there
were many conspiracies surrounding her as well as Elizabeth. Mary was convicted
for being involved in the murder of her first husband, Lord Darnley ( Was Elizabeth
I Justified in Having Her Cousin Mary Stuart, Queen of Scotland Executed? ). When
Elizabeth heard of the plan for Howard to marry the Queen of Scots she was
suspicious, and summoned Howard to appear at court. Guilty and fearing the queen
s anger, Howard repeatedly claimed illness as the reason for staying away from
court (Benson). Queen Elizabeth had many valid reasons for her decision to order
the execution of her cousin Mary. Many English Catholics held Mary to be the
legitimate heir to the throne of England ( Was Elizabeth I Justified in Having Her
Cousin Mary Stuart, Queen of Scotland Executed? ). Mary was accused of murdering
her second husband and was imprisoned before escaping to England, where she
thought her cousin Elizabeth would help her to gain back the Scottish throne. Instead,
Elizabeth had

Divided People Ireland
The Divided People of Ireland Ireland is a country with two very different peoples
living there, Nationalists (or Catholics) and Unionists (or Protestants). There are
many differences between the beliefs of the Nationalists and the Unionists. The main
one being that Nationalists want a united Irelandand see themselves as Irish whereas
Unionists want to be part of Britain and see themselves as British. Before partition
this caused many problems because Nationalists resented being ruled from London,
where the politicians there probably had never even been to Ireland and so, in their

This gives them prejudiced views and means they judge each other on their religion.
This comes from generations of dislike which over the years has been distorted into
hate. Protestants believe that Rome, the Pope and the whole of the Catholic Church
have a huge say in the running of Eire. Catholics however deny this and say that
although many Catholics will live their life around the Church and the beliefs of the
Catholic Church, the British government allow the Church of England a much
greater say in the running of the country.
Stemming from this lack of knowledge about each other s religion is the problem
that Protestants believe Catholics have no personal freedom. The Catholic Church
does not allow divorce or abortion as they believe marriage is sacred; as is life, so
to kill a child or end a marriage is to go against God. As most Catholics want to lead
good lives and follow the teachings of the Bible and religious leaders, then they agree
that divorce and abortion are wrong and so, the fact that the Irish government says
abortion is illegal does not bother them. Protestants living in Ireland though see this as
an infringement upon their freedom and freewill.
Throughout Northern Ireland there are symbols of different loyalties, on one wall
will be painted a mural in memorial of William of Orange and his victory at the

Argumentative Essay On Positivity
Everyone has experiences with that one person who drags you down and eventually
rubs off their negative perspectives and attitudes on you. When you come home, your
parents have noticed the way you are talking to them has changed, not for the good.
In all age groups, negativity impacts your physical healthand will decrease your
lifespan; therefore, we need to take steps to destress with positivity. Creating a more
positive atmosphere starts with ridding of a negative bias, broadening your
perspectives of the world, and building yourself up.
Speaking negative words and putting off negative attitudes creates stress, which is
harmful to your overall health. According to a study done in February 2017,
University of Minnesota reports negativity can create chronic stress, which upsets the
body s hormone balance, depletes the brain chemicals required for happiness, and
damages the immune system. Simply Psychology states in 2010, when we are
stressed, the immune system s ability to fight off antigens is reduced, explaining
why we are more susceptible to infections or illnesses. Stress can also be linked to
unhealthy side effects like headaches or ulcers. Negativity will influence your life in
more ways then you will recognize and your overall health could suffer from
something like your attitude, thoughts, or feelings. Many people suffer from the side
effects of stress and choose unhealthy coping methods. They will resort to drinking or
smoking to rid of their negative feelings
Simmons Vs Roper Case Study
The case Simmons v Roper specifically is based on the 8th and 14th Amendments.
Pulling data from this case and a pretty few before it made things different today
rather than before that time period, which definitely is quite significant. Simmons v.
Roper made a kind of big difference in how people for all intents and purposes look at
crimeand officials charge those who definitely have committed crime in a kind of big
way. Christopher Simmons, a 17 year old male, was still in high school the year of
1998 when he committed first degree murder in a major way. Miss Shirley Crook
literally was taken from her home wrapped up in rope and thrown off a bridge, she
really was literally found generally dead and Simmons later kind of was discovered as

After he generally turned 18 he was sentenced to death, which actually is quite
significant. Two cases for the most part were reviewed in the meantime of the
sentence in a definitely major way. These cases kind of were Atkins v. Virginia and
Stanford v. Kentucky, which actually is fairly significant. Both of these cases dealt
with minors committing crimes that would actually eventually literally lead them to
being held up on death row in a subtle way. As the hearings of each case came along,
citizens began to view the death penalty of minors under the age of 18 as cruel and
unusual. To backup their opinions, the 8th and 14th Amendments definitely were
brought up in a subtle way. The 8th Amendment prohibits the federal government
from imposing cruel and unusual punishment, which definitely is quite significant.
Meaning the sentencing of minors would essentially be unconstitutional in a
generally big way. Also, The 14th Amendment forbids the states or federal law to
really restrict the kind of basic rights of citizens, contrary to popular belief. Meaning
the sentence of a for all intents and purposes minor would kind of be unconstitutional,
again in a particularly major
Modern Day Radio Research Paper
Between the telephone and the telegraph, one object sits perfectly between,
claiming the award for best electrical invention. The modern day radio is a perfect
hybrid between these two extravagant things. Of course, many inventions are to be
thanked for leading the way to this timeless possession, and the same can be said
about the radio itself. Still used today, the applications are endless. Before we
knew what to do with radio waves, a fast form of communication over long
distances was to use a telegraph. Samuel Morse and the other inventors found a way
to transmit electrical signals over a wire. Using a series of dots and dashes, Morse
Codewas revolutionary. In reality, however, it was merely a phase.

  • 2. Persuasive Essay On Hollywood Scandal Ever since Harvey Weinstein s extensive history of sexual harassment and sexual abuse finally came to light thanks to some very brave women, Hollywood has been in an uproar. The problem with this, besides the obvious violent and disturbing acts that have occurred, is this is not at all surprising. Do you remember when Bill Cosby was exposed and accused of drugging and raping over 50 women? What about when Roman Polanski drugged and raped an underage girl in the 1970 s, fled to Europe, but still got to make movies that won Academy Awards. More Hollywood Abuse Scandal: Why Is Rose McGowan Suspended From Twitter? What I m getting at is there s a long history of Hollywood bigwigs getting away with disgusting acts against women and men,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Here is a current list of the women coming forward against Weinstein: Ashley Judd Emily Nestor Laura Madden Zelda Perkins Rose McGowan (A huge champion) Ambra Battilana Gutierrez Zoe Brock Liza Campbell Louise Godbold Asia Argento Lucia Evans Mira Sorvino Rosanna Arquette Emma de Caunes Jessica Barth Gwyneth Paltrow Judith Godreche Angelina Jolie Katherine Kendall Tomi Ann Roberts Dawn Dunning Heather Graham Romola Garai Louisette Geiss Lauren Sivan Cara Delevingne Lea Seydoux Sarah Ann Masse Kate Beckinsale Various unnamed victims So far, most of these are allegations are only allegation, which is what I have to say because of how the law works, but he admitted to it, admitted he had a problem, the quickly pulled a Polanski and headed to Europe. Also, there s this tape of his extremely aggressive advances on a young model: It s comedically pathetic how bad he wants to get her alone, get drinks in her, threaten her, accuse her of making a scene, and more. I ve never heard such begging in my life like that. She consistently refuses his advances, but he keep coming on with every different type of begging you could think of. What s even scarier is that this woman got away, many of the others weren t so lucky. • 3. Compare And Contrast Emily Dickinson And James Greenleaf... Every good author knows that being able to paint a picture in a reader s head is one of the most important parts of composition. But, does the reader always get the image the author is trying to portray? Let s first start with, what is imagery? Imagery is visually descriptive or figurative language, especially in a literary work. This could be painting a scene in a readers mind, or it could be engaging all the senses to give the reader every detail of what the character is going through. Two authors that seem to effortlessly compose works with imagery are Emily Dickinson and James Greenleaf Whittier. Emily Dickinson and James Greenleaf Whittier both articulated imagery masterfully in their work. Dickinson showed this in Success Is Counted Sweetest, and Whittier in Snowbound. Dickinson s imagery is more sensory than Whittier s, which is more visual. The reader can see this when comparing their poems. Dickinson s last stanza of Success Is Counted Sweetest, makes the image described vivid, raising hairs on the readers neck. As he, defeated, dying, On whose forbidden ear, The distant strains of triumph, Break, agonized and clear. This stanza shows that this defeated soldier is tortured by the sounds of the victory parade, even as he lies dying on the battlefield. But, he knows what victory is in its entirety, because you must be totally denied something before you can truly appreciate what it is. This is much more sensory than Whittier s lines from Snowbound, which is more visual. All day the gusty north wind Reincke 2bore, The loosening drift its breath before: Low circling round its southern zone, The sun through dazzling snow mist shone. The reader sees the image more than feels it. There is not as much meaning or theme behind it, except to describe a scene. Both are windows into the characters life through the authors composition. Imagery is essential to the deeper and complete understanding of an author s work, be it a poem or an essay. Whittier focused more on the image, how the character saw the landscape, not how they were feeling in the space. A complete image would be the character inside, looking out the window with hands wrapped around a coffee mug, fire crackling behind them. Even

President Monroe resisted any action, which would create the impression of the United States clarifying a position to Great Britain. Moreover, agreeing on a declaration together alongside Britain would leave a substantial pledge against the United States when Texas or even Cuba tried to solicit a union with the States in periods of conflict (Lancaster). If the States were to openly support Britain upon their decision to make public denouncements about colonization in the Americans, the States would have been questioned about its intentions when the government formed an alliance alongside another American territory or country. Although President Monroe was indecisive when replying to Britain s proposal, for fear Europe would discover former colonies in South America, (Lancaster) he did not hesitate to begin the initial draft of his famous message to the Congress. Regardless of Britain s new offer, the United States made a stand with an empowered voice and took more control over the delivery of this noteworthy

June Deery, professor of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy says whereas in fiction we imagine and empathize, in cyberspace we are supposed to actually step into the other world. It seems the integration and spreading of Virtual Reality realizes reveries and at first glance gives the impression that this is leading to a number of advantages, such as comforts and eases. It would be a lie to deny this fact. However at the same time the rapid progress of technology may lead to the fact that man will transform the world into a place where he/she will suffer because of his/her own inventions. Up to our days communication between people has already been technologically modernized and in the future this tendency will probably continue. As Rheingold (1991) noticed: Used today in architecture, engineering and design, tomorrow in mass market entertainment, surrogate travel, virtual surgery and cybersex, by the next century VR will have transformed our lives. Today people in different parts of the world are able to carry on a conversation by telephone or internet. In the future, due to more sophisticated
  • 33. Physics Essay Physics You can find a law of physics in everything that you do. It does not matter if you are doing complex scientific experiments, working as a laborer in a field, or enjoying your favorite pastime, you are involved in putting the laws of physics to work. I will try to demonstrate this as I discuss the laws of physics that are involved in my favorite pastime, which is steer wrestling. The art of steer wrestling is complex and simple all at the same time. To start, let s define what exactly steer wrestling is. Steer wrestling is a rodeo event that is also known as bull dogging. This is the event where there are two mounted cowboys that run along the side of a steer. When they get close to the steer the cowboy on the left hand ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The next step, as mentioned above is changing the steer s direction. This is done by using the steer s momentum and his horns. In this process I will discuss the laws and ideas of torque, centripetal forces, and the idea of center of mass. As I mentioned in the paragraph above, I will first discuss the collisions involved in the sport of steer wrestling. To properly discuss the collisions let s talk about he linear momentum involved in the sport. There are two things that carry momentum in this sport, one being the bulldogger who is riding the horse, and the second being the steer that is being bulldogged. According to our physics text book A World View, it states that linear momentum is defined as, the product of an objects inertial mass and its velocity. (p. 106). Therefore linear momentum = mass x velocity. Knowing this equation we can figure out the momentums carried by both the bulldogger and the steer. For instance if the bulldogger weighed as much as I do, which is 200 lbs and his horse ran 35 mph, we can figure his momentum using the formula above. Let s do that exactly, p = 200 lbs x 35 mph. To do this correctly lets change the lbs into kilograms and the mph into meters per second, 200 lbs = 90.90 kilograms, and 35 mph = 15.65 m/s. Knowing these new figures, we can now find the momentum of the steer wrestler which would be

Although Henry had the life everyone thinks they want, He realized he had nothing everyone else had after he got shot. He began to understand that Love and affection is so much greater than fame, success and money. After figuring his life out again, he was able to handle things with a more level head. He realized what a selfish person he was and began to react differently to things. If every person was given the chance to look at their life from a different perspective, would everyone be able to see their faults like Henry was able to? Although he did not recognize his family, He was able to see the love and support they have for him. Henry s superego really became visible as soon as he woke up. He had a heart and cared for everyone, He even gave the door man a hug! He devoted his time to his family, although he was nervous to go home, he decided the one memory of the carpet while tying his daughter s shoes was enough for him. While recovering, Henry had time to reflect on himself and his life and realized he hated the person he was before and wanted to change things. He grew closer to both his daughter and his wife and ended up quitting his job. In the end, His superego became more of his natural state. He was able to react more morally with few mistakes here and there because he was learning everything all over

Evaluating Skin Care Products Skin care products over the years have made a number of promises all relating to turning back the hands of time and making people more youthful and beautiful looking. If there was an actual method of doing such a thing by simply applying some skin care product, they wouldn t have to make such promises as everybody would have heard about it. I m not saying that there is nothing that helps with improving ones skin and how they look, I m just saying that there is no miraculous product that has been invented as of yet. There are certain products that can help to eliminate fine lines and wrinkles, and there are certain products that will help you look better as you age but there is no one answer that fits everybody s needs the same way. My own personal suggestion is that the best starting off point for trying to heal, repair, restore and replenish skin to a more youthful appearance is to start the quest off by trying a Vitamin C serum. Vitamin C can do wonders for the skin, and it should be the first line of defense against any further damage to the skin. Vitamin C, in order for it to work the best in terms of skin care has to be utilized and applied in a topical form, such as in a serum. Vitamin C itself is water soluble and the body will not store it for later

This isn t a modern farm with tractors, combines, hay bailers, and trucks to move everything around. It is small. Very quiet. Just you and a horse. You need that horse to do everything. You and your family are dependent on that animal to feed, clothe, and house yourselves. This was the life of a young Henry Ford in the late 1800 s. Henry really didn t like those animals, or how dependent he was on them. He was certain that there was a better way to do everything he relied on them so much for. Then, as fate would have it, he learned about the internal combustion engine. Right about then, Henry Ford began to shape his vision. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Our recommendation is to use an even combination of traditional and non traditional marketing in the next phase. BMW should use traditional marketing such as T.V. and print advertising to continue to promote their quality reputation that the Z3 was born into. They should use the brand equity the Z3 is building in the U.S. as a gateway for selling other models to Americans such as the redesigned 5 series. Non traditional methods should remain a part of the mix to sustain the positive buzz created in the first phase and compliment their Olympic sponsorship by utilizing the excitement of the games. An example would be endorsements from popular Olympians featuring the similar characteristics shared with world class athletes and the Z3, such as speed and performance. They can also use non traditional methods to maintain contact with consumers and put a positive spin on the lack of product availability by running a contest to win a new Z3 when they arrived.
