This document summarizes research on using ePortfolios in a personal learning environment for teacher education in Estonia. An ePortfolio called DiPo was developed and piloted with over 200 teachers. Interviews found that ePortfolios supported personal reflection and social learning through sharing experiences and getting feedback. Users said reflection was improved with a trusting mentor relationship and receiving written feedback. The research aims to understand how to scaffold collaborative knowledge building for novice teachers using ePortfolios.
