The document discusses the REVIVE project and its goal of transferring an innovative technological methodology called iCamp from higher education to vocational education and training (VET). It notes several issues with current VET curriculum and tools, including a lack of autonomy for learners. The iCamp approach aims to move from instructional design to learning environment design and promote personal learning environments. It also discusses implementing iCamp through various trials, tools to support the approach, and findings from case studies.

The Adoption of Technology-Enhanced Learning for Inclusive Education
“If we teach today’s students as we taught yesterday’s, we rob them of tomorrow.”
-John Dewey-
The use of technology-enhanced learning (TEL) tools can bring great potential to enhance both students’ and instructors’ experiential learning, but only if they are appropriately adopted (Baneres et. al., 2015). With the challenges of online teaching, it is crucial for instructors to customise their lessons to holistically cover the learning outcomes while ensuring a deeper level of engagement among diverse learners. In this workshop, participants will be exploring some significant stages of selecting appropriate TEL tools in their lessons.

Developing a sustainable, student centred VLE: the OUNL case - Hermans, H & V...Steven Verjans
The Open University of the Netherlands (OUNL) has adopted the concept of the personal learning and working environment (PLWE) as the future delivery platform of its educational services to students. This concept means that students should be able to shape their own personal virtual (learning) environment, based on individual tool and technology preferences .
To support this concept the OUNL faces the challenge of setting up an architecture and investing in the development of a set of educational services that can be integrated not only in the institutional learning environment, but that can also be merged with personal environments.
In this presentation we describe the first steps of a distance teaching university in its move towards this PLWE concept. This means reconsidering the role and position of the current, more traditional VLE, and developing new educational services that aim at getting students more committed and involved, inspired by the success of current web2.0 technology.

Overview of C-SAP open educational resources projectCSAPOER
This presentation showcases, discusses and reflects upon the work of the C-SAP "Open Educational Resources" project. Our project, "Evaluating the Practice of Opening up Resources for Learning and Teaching in the Social Sciences", was part of a pilot programme (funded by the HEA and JISC), which sought to explore issues around the sharing of educational material from a disciplinary perspective. Whilst exploring, with our academic project partners, the principles and issues around releasing educational material (institutional, contractual, administrative), we have also sought to develop some insights into the processes of sharing practice, and look forward to discussing the findings in this forum.
Facilitating student-led teaching and content creation through technology: Us...RichardM_Walker
User-led design reflects a paradigm shift in pedagogic practice, re-envisioning the role of students as producers rather than consumers of learning. Implicit in this design approach is an acknowledgement that students have the skills and capability to engage in collaborative knowledge creation activities and to develop their learning as producers of content.
Through a presentation of case examples, we report on how user-led principles have been applied to the design of blended learning courses at the University of York (United Kingdom), with learning technology employed to support active learning opportunities for our students. The blended courses each incorporated activities encouraging participants to develop their own learning and teaching resources, engaging them in the mastery of key skills and concepts. We present an engagement model for active learning derived from the case examples, and use this as a stimulus for a broader discussion on effective design approaches to support student-led teaching and content creation activities.
We then go on to discuss the instructional responsibilities associated with the successful delivery of student-led activities within blended courses. Research tells us that instructional support for online learning requires differing strategies to facilitate effective group learning and participant-led activities and can lead to instructors assuming different roles in their online interactions with students. Reflecting on the case studies, we discuss common challenges that instructors may face in the design of student-led activities and present strategies for the effective delivery of student-led teaching and content creation activities, based on a five-stage blended delivery model that has been used to guide academic staff at the University of York.

He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

Editor's Notes
Learning Environments and their construction as well as maintenance is an important part of learning process and desired learning outcomes In many instructional theories learning environment is created by an instructional designer
From the educational perspectuve we concentrated on competence advancement in three areas of challenge, We assumed that competence advancement in the specifi areas of challenge takes place in parallel to domain specific teaching which can be reorganised to make the comptenece advancement possible These areas of challenges are highly interconneted,
From the perspective of the learner we are talking here about PLE – learner can choose the tools by herself and compose an environment according to her own preferences. The envirnment can be easily changed and updated when new, better tools apear or when learning goals or interests change. Learner can use such an environment after leaving the educational institution, In the LMS settigs the systems are normally closed and made available to the students only when they are involved in formal educational process at this institution
Learning Environments and their construction as well as maintenance is an important part of learning process and desired learning outcomes In many instructional theories learning environment is created by an instructional designer – but they plan for an average learner, not for the individual The researchers of iCamp project argue that Learners need to actively adapt their learning environments to their needs, the facilitators should facilitate the process Instructional Design Theories assume that the learning environment should authomatically adapt to learner. iCamp assums that it should be other way round -
Our main goal was to come up with a performance support for practitioners who try to (re)design and (re)organise domain-specific instructional activities to create opportunities for competence advancement in the areas of SDL, collaboration and SN
To validate the concepts three trials were conducted within iCamp project. The first one was focused mainly on student collaboration across borders. Self direction component was added to the second trial and the last trial focused on social networking. The main goal of the trials was to validate how collabor, SDL and SN can be supported with the use of SoSo in collaborative learning settings. Within the trials students were supposed to adance their competenes in these areas of challenges, advance their skills in establishing their PLEs and Distributed learning environments All trials were carried out in the context of formal HE settings were stundents and facilitators were distributed geographically, the trials were also aligned with academic calendars of participating institutions
EMIM is a programme offered by a partnership of several European Univerities. As Tallinn University of Technology is one of the partners of the network we had a chance to run the trial witin this programme. Course structure, objectives, grading and some initial learning resources were introduced within the LMS used by EMIM Universities which is Moodle
The students were required to deploy a subset of the educational tools made suggested for trials – assemble their PLEs - create their personal blog, create account in scuttle (social bookmarking tool Blog – personal presentation, describing and negotiating learning contacts, personal reflection, Scuttle – organisation and sharing of bookmarks, tagging interesting resources
Doodle Supports the process of scheduling the meetings
iLogue -
Stress – starting to learn in an initially unstructured system
A learning situation is represented by an activity, in this case collaborative writing, which consists of some actions. For each of the actions we need a tool to accomplish it,
