Introduction
• Environmental awareness is to
understand the fragility of our
environment and the importance of
its protection.
• Promoting environmental
awareness is an easy way to become
an environmental steward and
participate in creating a brighter
future for our future generation
Why This Project ?
• Lovely Professional University has created the project
‘SATHI’ which recently adopted 10 nearby villages with a
view to transform them into ‘Smart Villages’.
• The protection of key elements of our environment is
important for human health.
Our Perceptions
• Some people are polluting environment
because they are not aware of how
important Environment is for us
• We Think To Promote Environmental
Awareness by taking responsibility of
human aspects
• By doing this awareness program we
make a report about, what people’s
responsibility is towards saving
environment.
• We went to nearby villages
on behalf of Lovely
Professional University with
a view to transform them
into Smart Villages.
• We Went to Chaheru
Village, we talked to the
villagers and took an
Interview on how they can
save natural resources by
using them in smart way.
Our Efforts
• Past vs future scenario
• Paddy crop burning
• Water pollution
• Water Harvesting System
• Sustainable Management
• Global Warming
• Deforestation
• Urbanization
• Importance Of Environment
Discussions:
• We ask them About
environment changes
and its effect on health
From last 20 Years.
• Increase in heart and
skin issues.
• Decrease in Average
life-span.
Small Talk with villagers:
• They told us that Youth
generation don’t want to
do farming they will cut
many trees but will not
try to plant at least one.
• Mostly their aim is to
Settle abroad.
Talk with Senior Citizen :
• About Various Governmental
Schemes to help Villagers.
• Better Way of irrigation – Drip
system or Sprinkle method
• Using of Biogas instead of Solid
Fuel.
• Water Harvesting system.
• Use of organic manure instead
of chemical fertilizer
• Not to use crackers as it
increase air pollution
What We Suggested:
• Scarcity of water
• Unhealthy environment
• Limitation of natural
resources
• Extinction of various flora
and fauna
• Worse climatic condition
• Limited land resources
Future Challenges
What We Observed ?
• We observed that before couple of weeks, some
people they didn’t even tried to save
environment, they did it when Government took
a serious action against them.
• Some of villagers are very much aware about
importance of environment they also told us how
they are helping humanity by saving environment
• They told us how they are using paddy waste as
animal food and in thermal power station to
generate electricity.

Public Reviews
• Some people are giving an Excuse about that why they are
burning paddy waste, they are obliged because of economical
problem.
• Cost of Paddy waste is very much cheaper as compare to their
budget of using as compost fertilizer because it needs time and
space both.
• Using sprinkle method for farming also needs economic effort.
• Some people gives us reason that, Earning from farming is not
enough to fulfill their family needs So, How they can even think of
using these modern method
Problem Faced By Public
• Economical Condition
• Compost fertilizer is effective for short time period so they
are using Artificial Fertilizer
• Saving rain water needs underground cemented tank they
don’t have enough money for that.
• Govt. policies are not available for them
Steps taken By Govt. of India To save
Natural Resource
• Punjab Water Mission
• Sum of R.s 18.24 cr. has been Sanctioned Under National
Adaptation fund on “climatic Punjab”, National bank for
agriculture & rural development.
• KCC(Kissan Credit Card) is provided to farmers by the
central govt.
• Odd-Even System
Conclusion
• We can Save Natural resources by awareness programs.
• Identified practical ways to reduce environmental impacts.
• We introduce people to the principles of environment.
• The harvesters and feeder of Indian population i.e the
farmers has to suffer a lot.
Thank You
