2. • Introduction:
UNO declared 17 SDGs.
There Isn’t a Future Without Environmental Sustainability
Environment Sustainability
Our Environment means ‘Everything that around us’
Sustainability means ‘ avoidance of the depletion of natural
resources in order to maintain an ecological balance.’
Living planet facing many environmental issues by human
activities
Human activities peripherally divided into causes, effects and
mitigation
Environmental Issues are interconnected, that means one issue
accelerate the other
3. Causes for Environmental Issues:
Rapid Population growth
Poverty
Over exploitation of resources
Industrial Revolution
Neoliberal economic policies
Deforestation
Urbanization
Expansion-intensfication of agriculture
Not including the environmental costs of economic goods and
services in their market prices
Trying to manage and simplify nature with too little knowledge
about how it works
5. Statement of Problem:
Environmental issues are disruptions in the usual function of ecosystems
These issues are considered serious when the ecosystem cannot recover in the
present situation, and catastrophic if the ecosystem is projected to certainly
collapse.
Now we know the major issues which are causing damage to the environment. So,
now we can discuss the ways by which we can save our environment. For doing
so we have to take some measures that will help us in fighting environmental
issues.
Moreover, these issues will not only save the environment but also save the life
and ecosystem of the planet.
6. (a) Creating the awareness about environmental
problems among people.
(b) Imparting basic knowledge about the environment
and its allied problems.
(c) Developing an attitude of concern for the
environment.
7. Research Methodolgy:
1.Information gathered from various open educational
resources like books, journals , Magazines, websites, NGO
organisations.
2.Collection & analyse the data from National Institutes
/organizations related to Environment ,Pollution,food &
agriculture Departments.
3.News Paper clippings also.
8. Posible Remedies for Environmental Issues:
Transportation is a significant contributor to carbon emissions, Reduce your
carbon footprint by choosing sustainable transportation options.
Sustainable Transport-Bicycles, electric cars, and public transport reduce
CO2 emissions and lessen traffic congestion.
Renewable Energy-Wind, solar, and hydropower reduce greenhouse gas
emissions and dependence on fossil fuels.
Energy Conservation-Energy-efficient light bulbs and smart thermostats cut
down the carbon footprint and reduce power consumption.
Conserve Water, Reduce Food Waste
Support Local and Sustainable Products:
Engage in Community Initiatives
9. Sustainable Practices
3R’s -Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle: Use cloth bags instead of plastic, reuse containers for
storing things, and recycle materials like paper, glass, and plastic.
Plant more trees and vegetation:Forests and vegetation clean the air, absorb carbon,
and provide biodiversity.
Eco-Friendly Products- Buy products like organic food, household cleaners, and personal care
items that are environmentally friendly
Water Conservation: Conserve water by fixing leaks, taking shorter showers, and using
drought-resistant plants.
10. Innovative Technologies for Environmental Preservation
*Vertical Farming
*Ocean Cleanup
*Carbon Capture and Storage
*Biological treatments through Microbes
i. Sustainable agriculture with modified organisms
ii. Microbial products
iii. Seawage and water treatment
iv. Metagenomics

12. Conclusion:
People, unfortunately, forget that we are a part of nature. We must live in harmony with
nature and take care of it. We need to rethink how we consume natural resources.
People must be aware that the natural world is on the verge of collapse. People must
recognise that they are not the primary users of the Environment and construct
Environmentally suitable homes. We must consider future generations and what will be
left behind after we are gone. People come up with remedies to Environmental Issues.
We recycle trash, develop electric automobiles, reduce air, water, and soil Pollution, and
restore land erosion by planting new trees. But it is not enough; people must drastically
alter their lifestyles until nature takes the last drastic measures.
Saving our planet from these Environmental Issues is the responsibility of every
individual. If preventive measures are not taken then our future generation will have to
face major repercussions. Government is also taking steps to create public awareness.
Every individual should be involved in helping to reduce and control Pollution.
