1. The GCSE science fiction exam will be 1 hour and 30 minutes long on May 24th. Each question is worth 15 marks and students should spend 20 minutes on each. Drawing equipment should be brought for question 4.

Edited Photos
I began by using Auto tone to enhance the color and reduce the bland look of the photograph. I then increased the vibrance to bring out the bright reds and greens. Next, I used the Magnetic lasso tool to separate the rose petals from the background, brightening the rose and removing shadows. I converted the background to black and white to contrast it from the bright rose. Finally, I cropped the image to better follow compositional rules like thirds.

The poster also shows a character in the centre with a very heroic stance who might be a main character in the film. The font of the title is bright, bold and futuristic looking. The tagline just above ‘This is not a game’ plays on the name of the film which This character may play a big part in the film, and as he is wearing an armored suit there may be a battle or war involved. The target audience may broaden due to who is in the film. For example any fans of popular actor Harrison Ford may be drawn in by his appearance. This film would have target audience of mostly young adults and children aged 13 and over because of the space/ action adventure theme. The poster has a serious mood to it. which is shown by how the different characters are shown at the bottom, in a very technical and computerised manner, Which links to the Sci-Fi genre. The bright light shining over the characters shoulder also draws attention to him as a leader of some sort or that he has a big contribution in the movie. The Tagline at the top of the poster is used to give extra promotion to the film by giving it the title of a bestseller. Letting viewers know how successful this film may be and that it is a must watch. The two main focuses of this poster are the title and image. There is less information compared to other film posters as the poster is using different techniques of gaining an audience by using an effective image which shows enough detail to get the audience thinking and wanting more. This may be the hero or main character in the movie. He is looking out into space at what may be a large space ship but is not completely shown on this poster. This draws in the audience as there is a mysterious character and they want to know what he is staring at.
