Austria-Hungary s Assassination
Although many believe the assassination of Austria Hungary s Archduke Franz Ferdinand by a
Bosnian Serb named Gavrilo Princip to be the main catalyst for World War I, in reality, it was actually
an accumulation of many events that led to the start of the Great War. Collectively, these events are
now referred to as the July Crisis; additionally, events not included in the July Crisis also influenced
the beginning of World War I. The war was fought by two opposing Alliances: The Allied Powers,
consisting of the United Kingdom, France, and the Russian Empire at its core because they were the
three countries that formed the Triple Entente (as the war progressed, The Allied Powers gained the
support of Italy, Japan, and the United States); and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In a letter to the Kaiser on the 5th of July 1914, Emperor Fran Joseph stated that the assassination of
his nephew was a direct consequence of the agitation carried on by the Russian and Serbian Pan
Slavists whose sole aim [was] the weakening of the Triple Alliance and the destruction of [his]
Empire. The evidence in the article shows that Austria Hungary is not going to allow this assassination
to go unpunished, because now the entire empire is feeling threatened. After the assassination, Austria
Hungary issued an ultimatum to Serbia, which stated that Austria Hungary wanted Serbia to be
completely responsible for the assassination, even though the killer was of Bosnian descent, not
Serbian. The Serbians were obviously angered by this ultimatum because they took it as an insult to
their country because also in the telegram was a request by the Austria Hungary to allow them to
investigate the murder of the Archduke because they felt as if the Serbians would not do a sufficient
job in performing the investigation. The ultimatum created uneasiness in Austria Hungary and Serbia;
however it also raised concerns in Germany and Russia as well. Evidence of this uneasiness can be
found in The Willy Nicky Telegrams, which was a correspondence between Nicholas II, Emperor of
Russia and Wilhelm II, the German Emperor. In a telegram sent by Wilhelm II to Nicholas II on the
28th of July 2914, Wilhelm states, It is with the gravest concern that I hear of the impression which
the action of Austria against Serbia is creating in your country . The fact that he is expressing grave
concern shows that this ultimatum given to the Serbians was making rulers of other countries
uncomfortable as well. Additionally, according to the Memoirs of Henry Morgenthau who was the US
Ambassador to Constantinople in

What Is My Room Essay
My Room Everyone likes places they can go to, to let be in a safe place. Mine may not be the prettiest,
coolest, or most perfect by any means. For me it works the best when I need breaks from my life and
just relax, this is where I go to. It frees me from all the chaos in my life, and I can just let go of things
that are worrying me or things I don t need to be in my life. My safe place is my room, my go to friend
when I need one, I can always rely on my lovely room. Most rooms fit to people s personality and
what they think is the best for them. I was searching ideas on how to recreate my room, and I finally
found the best theme for me and how it fit my personality. The room contains four walls, that are
joined together, in a rectangle shape. My room is the biggest one in the house, no not because I wanted
this room, but because I shared it with my older sister. No the room is all mine. Two the walls that are
opposite of each other are painted Peppered Pecan which is a brown color, that I love so dearly. The
other two walls are painted just plain white. If dressers could talk they would tell me how much they
love the color they are painted. Distressed, with brown as the base coat, and an off white at the top,
then sanded, to make the old fashion look to them. There knobs are brassy which stands out, from the
off white. Plants just bring a happy vibe to people, which this plant does to me, with its rough stem
and long green leaves, just something about it. Windows are

Victorian Age Comparison Essay
The Victorian Era is a time in history in which societal expectations of men and women were
formidably difficult to meet. Societal expectations made it harder for one to succeed in a relationship,
causing many people of the time to criticize the societal norm. Among these people were authors Jane
Austen and Christina Rossetti, who each wrote a unique piece criticizing these beliefs. The two
authors expressed their opposing views to the time s expectations of male to female relations in their
literature pieces The Goblin Market and Love and Friendship. Christina Rossetti wrote The Goblin
Market: a piece in which the lives of two independent women are depicted to be ruined by loathsome
creatures representative of males and relationships. Similarly, Jane Austen wrote Love and Friendship:
a tale that depicts two females whose lives come to a sudden decline due to the loss of their husbands
and their naive nature towards true love. Within both pieces, Rossetti and Austen expose the hardship
in attaining the highest profound connection in male to female relationships through the barriers of
power relations, social class, and the fantasy of true love.
During the Victorian Era, a stable life was not always easily attainable. A female did not have much
choice in the choosing of her lifelong partner, as Austen exhibits in Laura and Jannetta s cases. Both
females had their marriages arranged by their fathers based upon the future husband s success of
societal norms (D:

The law essentially provided for the registration of trade unions, outlining certain requirements about
their rules, trusteeship, accounts, amalgamation, dissolution and the filing of annual financial

Effect Of Divorce On Children
Over the last couple of decades the rate of marriages that end in divorce has been steadily increasing.
When a marriage ends children are impacted and it s not only emotional and devastating the couples
but this also has a huge effect on the children of all ages involved. Many parents go through a divorce
disaster with little knowledge of the effects that the children may go through. Some of the most
common impacts that divorce has on children include the fact that children tend to start to blame
themselves for the divorce, adjusting in areas of social relationships, there are behavioral issues that
arise, and there often becomes a challenge to balance the feeling of stability between the separate
parents. These are just a few of the most common challenges that children face when presented with
the reality of divorce in the family. When we understand the negative effects in which children are
impacted by divorce, the hope is that couples will devote time and energy toward any opportunities to
savage the marriage.
Caught in the Middle 3
While there are many people who go through divorce these days, there are also many children who
suffer from the impacts of divorce on their mind and emotions. (McConville, D. 2013 p 4) One of the
most common impacts of divorce on children is the element of the child feeling like it is his or her
fault. In the initial stages of divorce it can be very important to prevent resentment toward the other
parent. Parents should know about the

Critique Of The Cadian Ball
During the late 1800s, many new ideas came with the industrial revolution. With these ideas came
thoughts on how to change the way our sociality was working. Writers especially brought out the
opinions of they these radical ideas, by writing and spreading these ideas. At the Cadian Ball fails to
advocate a change in the social system, by mixing races and classes, but at the same time, and
supports the norm of marring someone of your own class, by have all four of the main characters
marry into the same class.
Within the story all the characters speak the same language, giving everyone an equal ground,
showing that everyone has something in common. During the story the narrator tells us, They
belonged to the younger generation, so preferred to speak English. (Chopin 6). This tells us that they
all speak the same language, with shows that they are all similar, but we can also infer that because
they state that they do this because they are younger, that the older generations, did not do this and
strengthened the divide between classes by speaking different languages.
The Cadian Ball advocates a change in the social class by featuring multi class and race couples, but
does not fully support the statement by having the characters marry others of their class. They talked
low, and laughed softly, as lovers do. (6) Alcee and Calixta are stated as lovers, even though this is the
1800s, there is a mixed race couple, but the story doesn t portray this negative. They also show

King Solomon Quotes With Page Numbers

Solomon became to develop. King Solomon was well known for two of his outstanding achievements.
One of his achievements was that he obtained the wisdom that only God had the power to give him,
and the other was the construction of the temple of Israel s religious life. During this passage king
Solomon is showed as a humble man who is also strong, and in search for the knowledge that would
help him become a better king. King Solomon worried about Israel, and making good acts that would
help him give fair judgement. As the passage starts it illustrates how the relationships that Solomon

Although this is how 1 Kings ends, with Solomon turning away from God, the whole book makes its
message across of how Solomon was in the right path when he worshiped no one else but the LORD.
When Solomon started to break Moses laws, the misfortune began to develop in the kingdom.
Solomon worst mistake was that he began to worship other gods, he build temples for them, and
practiced rites. He broke his faith with God and favor the ways of other foreigners over the ones from
Israel. The kingdom split in two, but all this was the effect of Solomon s betrayal. The ending of the
first book of Kings could be considered as an analogy of how our life could fall apart like Israel, if we

Juxtaposition In Picture Bride
Life is not a game that you can wrap around your little finger. You play a role in and everything may
change anytime that you cannot predict it. Yoshiko Uchida s Picture Bride describes the life of a
Japanese woman who is named Hana. She marries Taro who is a Japanese man who lives in America.
One of the important themes of this book is reality does not always match the expectation. In order to
develop this theme, Uchida uses the literary and rhetorical devices of juxtaposition, rhetorical
question, and perspective. Uchida introduces the theme through the usage of juxtaposition. As you can
see, before Hana marries with Taro, she imagines her life in America. Also, Hana have a conversation
about American life with her new friend, Kiku. Kiku says that Hana may need to do the housework for
a white woman. However, Hana cannot accept it because ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Hana sees her daughter go out on a date with a white man, her feelings are very complex. On
page 172, narrator describes, How could she put into words the thoughts that had crossed her mind
after Mary and Joe had gone out. She wanted a son in law with whom she could speak Japanese, with
whom she might share some rice and pick led radish. Most of all, she wants a grandchild with black
hair and a Japanese face, to whom she could teach some Japanese words. This quotation develops the
theme by demonstrating Hana s perspective toward Mary s boyfriend. Although Uchida used the third
person point of view, readers see Hana s perspective because the narrator describes Hana s thinking.
By reading about Hana s thoughts, readers knows that Hana expects Mary to marry a Japanese man
whom she can communicate with. Moreover, she wants her grandchild to be a Japanese. Hana s
English is not good and she worries about the communication. Therefore, she wants Hana marry a
Japanese man. However, the reality is that Mary wants to marry a white man whom Hana cannot

Caribbean Sea Abiotic Factors
The Caribbean Sea in located off the coast of North, Central, and South Americas. This sea spans
about two million, seven hundred and fifty three thousand square kilometers. There are also many
islands found in the midst of the Caribbean Sea. While these islands are a great place for a vacation,
the populations of people on the islands can affect life. Many different factors influence life in the
Caribbean Sea. These factors are divided into two categories; abiotic factors and biotic factors. These
types of factors can influence biodiversity in a certain area. A change in a single population results in a
huge change in an ecosystem that was previously well balanced and diverse. Populations change in
size all as a result of these factors.
Abiotic factors, such as rainfall and temperature, are different from place to place. In the Caribbean,
the abiotic factors vary from water current to water depth, from the amount of sunlight to the oxygen
levels. The Caribbean Sea is large and there are many measuring points throughout the sea, this results
in different conclusions for the same question. Now, that being said, the results recorded in this paper
are strictly and average. The average amount of precipitation in the Caribbean per year is as low as
twenty five centimeters in some parts to as high as nine hundred centimeters in other parts, that just
goes to show how big the Caribbean really is. That being said, the deepest measured part of the

shared primal instincts. The four primary instincts are sexual desire, survival, forming relationships

Good And Evil In The Real World
Within the natural world good and evil simply does not exist. The framing of your reality is based
solely on your perception. Good and evil is the result of that perception. If you distinguish something
as good, than it is. If you distinguish something as evil, than it is. Some swoop in at the last minute to
save the baby stroller rolling into oncoming traffic from its impending doom! However who is the
villain, as far as, the mother who just pushed that baby stroller into oncoming traffic is concerned?
Good and evil is a judgement, a judgement where we consider something to be of high value or not.
Perhaps the mother has decided that her baby is not valuable enough to to outweigh the troubles it
brings. A person makes a judgement based on their own perception; therefore perception of good and
evil depends on the one perceiving it.
The dynamic between a person s perception, and how others perceive the world around them make it
possible for anyone to play the villain.
Obviously, this dynamic between individuals perception of villainy wrecks havoc in ... Show more

group of immigrants that hurt America. People need to separate the groups to realize that there are
immigrants who help America and that they should be allowed to stay in America under certain

Perry feels that if Americans realize the way that women immigrants are viewed then maybe people
will think before they judge. These articles show that a lot of times Americans look at immigrants and
judge them on stereotypes. These authors show that immigrants should not be judged because they
have a different background form American citizens. Secondly, Immigrants that contribute to the
American society often pay taxes and learn to speak the English language often work but are not
treated equally as Native Americans are. Chavez talks about how there is a big difference in the
amount of male immigrants are in the work force compared to the amount of US males in the work

in reality they are paid less weather they are legal or illegal. The difference in the amount that
immigrants make and American born people is astounding illegal immigrants was 36,000 in 2007

show that even though immigrant work more that Native Americans they are paid less because they

Introduction
Enterprise Architecture (EA) is a coherent set of descriptions, covering a regulations oriented, design
oriented and patterns oriented perspective on an enterprise, which provides indicators and controls that
enable the informed governance of the enterprise s evolution and succesd1. In simple terms, an EA is a
conceptual blueprint that defines the structure of an organization in terms of its operation and
interaction among various units within it.
As organizations become larger, operations management become bigger and more cumbersome, hence
the need for an enterprise architecture framework that can describe the underlying infrastructure,
providing the groundwork for the hardware, software, networks and people to work2.
There are a number of enterprise architecture framework in use today with many of them having
similar views and approaches in an attempt to address various needs and concerns of an organization.
Zachman framework for enterprise architecture is one of the major EA framework in use today and is
considered to be one of the pioneers in the ES domain. Zachman EA framework adopts principles of
classical architecture that establish a common vocabulary and set of perspectives for describing

Concept Analysis of Empowerment
Empowerment is a concept we all have heard at one time or another it is utilized in numerous
professions and specialties. Analysis of this concept will further understanding of empowerment for
nursing professionals in areas from research, theory development or practice. Exploring the attributes,
consequences, implications and model cases of empowerment can assist the nursing professional in
utilizing empowerment to its fullest potential. Within the scope of nursing, empowerment can be seen
not purely as how it relates to the client, or the nurse but also how it relates to both the client and the
nurse (Rodwell 1996). The Walker Avant method was used to analyze this concept, as it was the most

Empowerment always includes power, as it is absolutely necessary. In the field of social work,
empowerment involves the partnership model in which power is developed with and among , rather
than power over consumers. (Cox, et Al 2008) Wetzel and Inglehart demonstrated the Human
Empowerment model in which it is demonstrated empowerment is essential to democracy, because it
is only effective if power is vested within the people. Empowerment in nursing stresses that in order
for a nurse to empower their patients, they must also surrender power. (Gibson, 1991) Seen in all three
disciplines, partnership is a process of enabling people to choose to take control over and make
decisions about their lives and critical to empowerment. It is also a process which values all those

The Importance Of Performance At Carnegie Hall
Every musician definitely dreams about one day performing at Carnegie Hall because it is one of the
best concert halls all over world. Since it first built, it keeps providing good shows and performances

years, and despite classical music events, they want to provide more modern musical events to

The Great Gatsby Conflicted Man
The Great Gatsby is the seminal work of F. Scott Fitzgerald; it was published in 1925, squarely in the
roaring 20 s scene that inspired the events of the novel. Fitzgerald died just fifteen years later in 1940
at the age of 44 thinking that he was a failure ( F. Scott Fitzgerald ). The Great Gatsby is set in the
Jazz Age of America, where cultural advances in music, fashion, and social etiquette, combined with
the prohibition of alcohol, culminated in a raucous, extravagant, high spending lifestyle. No one
epitomizes this more than the mysterious Jay Gatsby, whose parties are the talk of New York City.
However, as we discover, this is merely a facade: the real Jay Gatsby is a lovelorn, conflicted man. His
love for Daisy is what drives him, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To the public, he s an elusive, party loving socialite, but as we discover through Nick s eyes, Gatsby is
actually a charming yet reserved man. Ever since he was a dirt poor kid in North Dakota, Gatsby felt
he was destined for something more. He is a self driven man, and while his desire for wealth and
power is innate, it is not the only thing that motivates him. His love for Daisy and desire to win her
back cause him to buy a luxurious mansion on West Egg directly across the bay from Daisy and Tom s
mansion where he throws extravagant parties in the hopes of luring Daisy to one of them. Gatsby s
actual personality runs opposite to how he is perceived by the public, and this dichotomy is important
to the themes of the novel. Nick, the narrator, usually has disdain for wealthy people, holds respect for
Gatsby. As Nick says in his last words to Gatsby, They re a rotten crowd, I shouted across the lawn.
You re worth the whole damn bunch put together. (Fitzgerald 160). We see Gatsby s nature when he
takes the blame for Daisy when she kills Myrtle. Even though she has abandoned him, he maintains

them (italicized) included: ● Water from the middle pond filled to the 600 mL mark of the jar (about

cycle that must have been in the jar for life to survive was the carbon and oxygen cycle. In order for

Hermeneutics Percer
Dr. Leo Percer in his video presentation gave an excellent definition of Hermeneutics. He articulated
that hermeneutics was an art and science of biblical interpretation. My thoughts concur with his, and
in addition, hermeneutics could also be an in depth comprehension of biblical interpretation that
relinquish the apprehension of one s thoughts and focus mainly on how was the text develop through
the intellect of the author. The role of author as stated by Dr. Percer is the Supreme. Nothing can be

The Gypsy As A Dichotomy
Since the arrival of Romani people to the British Isles, the figure of the Gypsy has been controversial
by being an object of both fear and desire. The word Gypsy evokes a series of images of people and
their way of life. For some, Gypsies are synonyms of criminals and fortune tellers, appearing as a
threat for the civilization. For others, they remind a nomadic life in nature exempt from the restrictions
of the settled society.
This dichotomy has categorized the Romani people as the exotic other , possessing, at the same time,
the quality of foreigners and the idiosyncrasy of being autochthonous. As Epstein points out, like the
oriental or the colonized, racially marked subject, the Gypsy was associated with a rhetoric of
primitive desires, lawlessness, mystery (etc.) with freedoms from the repressions, both constraining
and culture building of Western civilization. (3).

Genetic Disorders in Twins Essay
Twin studies have been used to distinguish between genetic and environmental factors for many
disorders in the general population including ectodermal dysplasia, Ellis van Creveld, and

conjoined twins to gain a better understanding of them. Many studies focus on twins because they
have a nearly identical genome, which eliminates environmental factors. In case studies, the
concordance rates in monozygotic twins have supported that certain disorders were caused by genetics

Currently, research as attempted to find the possible cause of twinning, which may allow individuals
the ability to have twins at will. If the cause of twinning was discovered than women may have the
ability to decide if they want to have twins One of the earliest accounts of conjoined twins include the

The Rise Of The Gunpowder Empires
The rise of the west was a time in which European nations became more advanced and had an increase
of power and dominance. Europe became a dominant nation in the 16th Century while two large
Gunpowder empires began to decline. These European nations dominated because they had
technological advancements. Some of which were gunpowder, cannons, and much more. Both the
Ottoman and the Ming Empires rose to the top and then declined after the European nations began to
advance. The European Miracle was when the European nations began to advance in technology, they
expanded, and dominated the world. China was a very advanced civilization during the 16th Century
and rose to power. They had large libraries, conducted trade by using a series of canals. They also had
large cities and used paper money for trade. The Chinese invented the gunpowder and the magnetic

expeditions. After the last Chinese expedition, there was an imperial edict that banned the construction
of ships with more than two masts. Warships were put away and not maintained. The navy was too
costly and the Chinese wanted to spend their money defending their Northern frontiers from the
Mongols. This did not require a large navy. Paul Kennedy stated that in this Restoration atmosphere,

Introduction The behavioral theory of counselling is a type of therapy that bases its foundation on the
belief that it is possible to learn behavior. Counsellors and therapists apply classic conditioning as one
way in which this type of therapy could be implemented and it is derived from the research conducted
by Ivan Pavolov. The theorist evaluated classic condition through an experiment with dogs, whereby
he focused on the impact of a learned response. Based on his study, Pavolov was able to determine

This story depicts how a certain innocent person was condemned and was sentenced to death for a
crime he did but with an innocent motive.
The story goes on around a certain person s life in a ship where he was said to be one of the crew.
Billy as a character depicted in the story is a person whose innocence can not be changed into hatred
for other people.
Though his surrounding is full of people with evil motives, he is still into trusting them with full
innocence.

The distinction between the divine characters of Christ with that of Billy is that, Billy will not
intentionally give up his life or sacrifice himself for other people?s good. On the contrary, Christ
accepted being condemned to death for people in the world?s salvation. Another way in which the
story of Billy could depict the story of Christ is the story when Pontius Pilate tends to wash his hand
to show that he is not responsible for Christ condemnation.
On the other hand in Billy?s story, Captain Vere pushed through the military view of law and
condemned Billy because he was thinking about what his mates would think of him if he will not
punish Billy with what they think would suit the latter for his crime. Both of the character who?s
Pontius and Vere, are playing innocent for an unjust case.
Between innocence and evil, the author depicted Claggart as the evil one, and goodness was depicted
by Billy.
The character of Billy in the story is paralleled to many of the bibles characters and some of those are
Adam which is said to be the first man who is born innocent in the world and was also presented as
having the same figure of Christ.
On the contrary, Claggart was depicted as characterized by evil where he was paralleled to Satan?s
characteristics and figures that motivated and/or influenced Billy to do evil. Billy died simply because

Characteristics Of The Null Hypothesis
Our lab investigated the morphological characteristics of leaves found in the sun and shade on various
species of maple and oak trees around campus. Our null hypothesis was Acer and Quercus acclimate
similarly with regards to SLW (specific leaf weight), size, and sinuosity. Our hypothesis was Quercus
acclimation is greater than Acer SLW, size, and sinuosity. We tested these hypotheses by picking small
sections of a branches from both maple and oak trees. A group was assigned either a maple or an oak
tree, and needed a total of three different trees per group. Once three different trees were chosen,
groups needed three shade leaves and three sun leaves of off each different tree. In total, each group
should then end up with 18 leaves for testing. After collecting the leaves, we ran them through the
LiCor 3100 leaf area meter to identify the area of each leaf. Major results found by the classes mutual
data was each one of our p values were greater than .05. This means that we failed to reject the null
hypothesis. Thus, the lab results do not support our hypothesis that Quercus acclimation is greater than
Acer SLW, size, and sinuosity.

shade leaves look different and why. Both papers suggest that sun leaves have thicker cuticles and are

Cross-Sectional Analysis Paper
At first, it would be easy to assume that it was a cross sectional research because the article said that it
was over a 48 hour period. After reading more into the article, I believe that they used the longitudinal
research design. To begin, a longitudinal study is where someone takes a group of people of the same
age range and studies them over the course of several years or more. All the children tested were
initially monitored prenatally and later on in life at age five, before they started school. For it to have
been considered a cross sectional study, the researchers would have used a variety of people from all
different age ranges in a much shorter timeframe of a few weeks or months.
In the beginning, the research started with 249 children, but later when they did the IQ testing there
was only a total of 150 children and that even included other children from outside the initial study
group. So the question begs, how many of the 150 were from the initial group? Without the actual

Bend It Like Beckham Belonging Analysis
Belonging is often referred to as acceptance and interconnection within social, cultural, historical and

  • 2. Austria-Hungary s Assassination Although many believe the assassination of Austria Hungary s Archduke Franz Ferdinand by a Bosnian Serb named Gavrilo Princip to be the main catalyst for World War I, in reality, it was actually an accumulation of many events that led to the start of the Great War. Collectively, these events are now referred to as the July Crisis; additionally, events not included in the July Crisis also influenced the beginning of World War I. The war was fought by two opposing Alliances: The Allied Powers, consisting of the United Kingdom, France, and the Russian Empire at its core because they were the three countries that formed the Triple Entente (as the war progressed, The Allied Powers gained the support of Italy, Japan, and the United States); and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In a letter to the Kaiser on the 5th of July 1914, Emperor Fran Joseph stated that the assassination of his nephew was a direct consequence of the agitation carried on by the Russian and Serbian Pan Slavists whose sole aim [was] the weakening of the Triple Alliance and the destruction of [his] Empire. The evidence in the article shows that Austria Hungary is not going to allow this assassination to go unpunished, because now the entire empire is feeling threatened. After the assassination, Austria Hungary issued an ultimatum to Serbia, which stated that Austria Hungary wanted Serbia to be completely responsible for the assassination, even though the killer was of Bosnian descent, not Serbian. The Serbians were obviously angered by this ultimatum because they took it as an insult to their country because also in the telegram was a request by the Austria Hungary to allow them to investigate the murder of the Archduke because they felt as if the Serbians would not do a sufficient job in performing the investigation. The ultimatum created uneasiness in Austria Hungary and Serbia; however it also raised concerns in Germany and Russia as well. Evidence of this uneasiness can be found in The Willy Nicky Telegrams, which was a correspondence between Nicholas II, Emperor of Russia and Wilhelm II, the German Emperor. In a telegram sent by Wilhelm II to Nicholas II on the 28th of July 2914, Wilhelm states, It is with the gravest concern that I hear of the impression which the action of Austria against Serbia is creating in your country . The fact that he is expressing grave concern shows that this ultimatum given to the Serbians was making rulers of other countries uncomfortable as well. • 3. What Is My Room Essay My Room Everyone likes places they can go to, to let be in a safe place. Mine may not be the prettiest, coolest, or most perfect by any means. For me it works the best when I need breaks from my life and just relax, this is where I go to. It frees me from all the chaos in my life, and I can just let go of things that are worrying me or things I don t need to be in my life. My safe place is my room, my go to friend when I need one, I can always rely on my lovely room. Most rooms fit to people s personality and what they think is the best for them. I was searching ideas on how to recreate my room, and I finally found the best theme for me and how it fit my personality. The room contains four walls, that are joined together, in a rectangle shape. My room is the biggest one in the house, no not because I wanted this room, but because I shared it with my older sister. No the room is all mine. Two the walls that are opposite of each other are painted Peppered Pecan which is a brown color, that I love so dearly. The other two walls are painted just plain white. If dressers could talk they would tell me how much they love the color they are painted. Distressed, with brown as the base coat, and an off white at the top, then sanded, to make the old fashion look to them. There knobs are brassy which stands out, from the off white. Plants just bring a happy vibe to people, which this plant does to me, with its rough stem and long green leaves, just something about it. Windows are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Victorian Age Comparison Essay The Victorian Era is a time in history in which societal expectations of men and women were formidably difficult to meet. Societal expectations made it harder for one to succeed in a relationship, causing many people of the time to criticize the societal norm. Among these people were authors Jane Austen and Christina Rossetti, who each wrote a unique piece criticizing these beliefs. The two authors expressed their opposing views to the time s expectations of male to female relations in their literature pieces The Goblin Market and Love and Friendship. Christina Rossetti wrote The Goblin Market: a piece in which the lives of two independent women are depicted to be ruined by loathsome creatures representative of males and relationships. Similarly, Jane Austen wrote Love and Friendship: a tale that depicts two females whose lives come to a sudden decline due to the loss of their husbands and their naive nature towards true love. Within both pieces, Rossetti and Austen expose the hardship in attaining the highest profound connection in male to female relationships through the barriers of power relations, social class, and the fantasy of true love. During the Victorian Era, a stable life was not always easily attainable. A female did not have much choice in the choosing of her lifelong partner, as Austen exhibits in Laura and Jannetta s cases. Both females had their marriages arranged by their fathers based upon the future husband s success of societal norms (D: ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

When a marriage ends children are impacted and it s not only emotional and devastating the couples but this also has a huge effect on the children of all ages involved. Many parents go through a divorce disaster with little knowledge of the effects that the children may go through. Some of the most common impacts that divorce has on children include the fact that children tend to start to blame themselves for the divorce, adjusting in areas of social relationships, there are behavioral issues that arise, and there often becomes a challenge to balance the feeling of stability between the separate parents. These are just a few of the most common challenges that children face when presented with the reality of divorce in the family. When we understand the negative effects in which children are impacted by divorce, the hope is that couples will devote time and energy toward any opportunities to savage the marriage. Writers especially brought out the opinions of they these radical ideas, by writing and spreading these ideas. At the Cadian Ball fails to advocate a change in the social system, by mixing races and classes, but at the same time, and supports the norm of marring someone of your own class, by have all four of the main characters marry into the same class. Within the story all the characters speak the same language, giving everyone an equal ground, showing that everyone has something in common. During the story the narrator tells us, They belonged to the younger generation, so preferred to speak English. (Chopin 6). This tells us that they all speak the same language, with shows that they are all similar, but we can also infer that because they state that they do this because they are younger, that the older generations, did not do this and strengthened the divide between classes by speaking different languages. The Cadian Ball advocates a change in the social class by featuring multi class and race couples, but does not fully support the statement by having the characters marry others of their class. They talked low, and laughed softly, as lovers do. (6) Alcee and Calixta are stated as lovers, even though this is the 1800s, there is a mixed race couple, but the story doesn t portray this negative. They also show ... The role of author as stated by Dr. Percer is the Supreme. • 28. The Gypsy As A Dichotomy Since the arrival of Romani people to the British Isles, the figure of the Gypsy has been controversial by being an object of both fear and desire. The word Gypsy evokes a series of images of people and their way of life. For some, Gypsies are synonyms of criminals and fortune tellers, appearing as a threat for the civilization. For others, they remind a nomadic life in nature exempt from the restrictions of the settled society. This dichotomy has categorized the Romani people as the exotic other , possessing, at the same time, the quality of foreigners and the idiosyncrasy of being autochthonous. As Epstein points out, like the oriental or the colonized, racially marked subject, the Gypsy was associated with a rhetoric of primitive desires, lawlessness, mystery (etc.) with freedoms from the repressions, both constraining and culture building of Western civilization. Genetic Disorders in Twins Essay Twin studies have been used to distinguish between genetic and environmental factors for many disorders in the general population including ectodermal dysplasia, Ellis van Creveld, and anencephaly. On the contrary, Christ accepted being condemned to death for people in the world?s salvation. Another way in which the story of Billy could depict the story of Christ is the story when Pontius Pilate tends to wash his hand to show that he is not responsible for Christ condemnation. On the other hand in Billy?s story, Captain Vere pushed through the military view of law and condemned Billy because he was thinking about what his mates would think of him if he will not punish Billy with what they think would suit the latter for his crime. • 37. Characteristics Of The Null Hypothesis Our lab investigated the morphological characteristics of leaves found in the sun and shade on various species of maple and oak trees around campus. Our null hypothesis was Acer and Quercus acclimate similarly with regards to SLW (specific leaf weight), size, and sinuosity. Our hypothesis was Quercus acclimation is greater than Acer SLW, size, and sinuosity. We tested these hypotheses by picking small sections of a branches from both maple and oak trees. A group was assigned either a maple or an oak tree, and needed a total of three different trees per group. Once three different trees were chosen, groups needed three shade leaves and three sun leaves of off each different tree. In total, each group should then end up with 18 leaves for testing. After collecting the leaves, we ran them through the LiCor 3100 leaf area meter to identify the area of each leaf. Major results found by the classes mutual data was each one of our p values were greater than .05. This means that we failed to reject the null hypothesis. Thus, the lab results do not support our hypothesis that Quercus acclimation is greater than Acer SLW, size, and sinuosity. Introduction In articles written by Thomas Jurik and Ulo Niinements and Kalevi Kull they discuss how sun and shade leaves look different and why. Both papers suggest that sun leaves have thicker cuticles and are more deeply lobed. In addition, sun leaves have less surface area to limit the amount of evapotranspiration that occurs in the leaves ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

After reading more into the article, I believe that they used the longitudinal research design. To begin, a longitudinal study is where someone takes a group of people of the same age range and studies them over the course of several years or more. All the children tested were initially monitored prenatally and later on in life at age five, before they started school. For it to have been considered a cross sectional study, the researchers would have used a variety of people from all different age ranges in a much shorter timeframe of a few weeks or months. In the beginning, the research started with 249 children, but later when they did the IQ testing there was only a total of 150 children and that even included other children from outside the initial study group.
