theory states that those with low levels of commitment, attachment, involvement, and beliefs are

areas. This study hypothesizes that suburban areas will be the same as urban areas when it comes

The two building I decided to compare were The Uffizi in Florence and Liverpool s Town Hall.
The Uffizi, built by Alfonso Parigi and Bernardo Buontalenti in 1580 in a pre industrial Florence,
was primarily built to house the offices of thirteen Florentine magistrates and guilds in one place ,
and from this position they would have had authority over the entire Republic of Florence. Whereas
the Town Hall built from 1749 1754, during the industrial revolution, was designed by John

1970 s was my era of middle childhood development. This was still a time of turmoil and racial
inequality. Being a black child gave me few advantages growing up during this time. I attended
decent schools, lived in a middle class neighborhood, and was socially active. I was a nerd, but
not in the best sense of the word. I was smart but I was lazy. School was boring to me. I knew the
work, but I did not want to do the work. This fact was related back to my parents via my teachers
( grades 6th 8th). My nickname was Tony but I was pinned as the Professor by my family. Like I
said, I knew the work I just did not do the work. The nickname made me feel good and bad at the
same time. I liked the acknowledgement that I was being recognized for being smart but I hated
the fact that I was also expected to live up to the nickname. This was also the beginning of a state
of confusion and asserting my independence. Discovering just who I was and in what direction
my life was going. (Erikson, 1968) Today I don t consider myself the same way. I pat myself on
the back when I do a good job, but when I do poorly I kick myself in the butt. The difference now
is I care one way or the other about the outcome. I was brought up in an authoritative environment,
that is to say I did as I was told and did not question why.It is

Intra cultural relations are historically filled with conflict; and to deal with this conflict: Gloria
Anzaldua s concepts of opposing cultures and language barriers, John Locke s Equality theory, and
Kwame Anthony Appiah s global citizenship theory explores the issue and works towards better
relations. According to Anzaldua, people are not of one culture, but in several cases, several

presented. The practical nonlinear generator constrained like VPL and POZ along with tie lines

Nicholas Ray s Bigger Than Life is a story of an American family man who tries to have it all and
fails because of his addiction. In an effort to visually portray this, Ray largely abandons
conventional Cinemascope practices and tends to revert to the paradigms of the Academy ratio.
Rather than using Cinemascope to highlight spectacle, Ray films a small family melodrama.
Instead of splitting the screen into thirds and adjusting the mise en scГЁne to visually fill up the
screen, Ray uses close ups, single person shots, and symmetry. He frequently divides the screen
in two at the center, essentially treating each side as an Academy ratio film. Since Ray focuses
less on clotheslining actors, he is able to bring the audience closer to understand the psychology
of Ed Avery (and physcially closer to him than most Cinemascope films would go). The sequence
towards the end of film is of paramount importance Ray takes the tension, anger, cruelty, and
derangement that has been building throughout the film and raises it to a high enough level that
Ed is willing to kill his own son. To get this across, Ray uses composition to show Ed as isolated,
sinister, and dangerous. Two of the scenes in particular from the sequence deviate from his regular
techniques, as he stages the family in a single frame to highlight the growing distance between them
