Reaching Target Audience
Before HubSpot, Learning Today faced a challenge that many businesses share—
how to effectively reach its target audience. Pitching a product to an industry of
14,000 national school districts, after all, is not easy. “We have gone to
tradeshows over the years, tried all sorts of marketing methods and opportunities
and, quite frankly, have not done very well in that area,” said the company’s CEO,
Dale Baker.

On the content development side, the HubSpot software provided Learning Today
with an easy-to-optimize blogging platform. The company increased its blog
readership to over 20,000 people, directly reaching its target audience.

Learning Today’s other favorite software piece is HubSpot’s mix of marketing
analytics. They use the Sources tool to keep track of different marketing channels
and measure the company’s progress based on multiple traffic streams, including
organic traffic, referrals and social media.

Learning Today also uses HubSpot’s lead nurturing tool to send customized emails
to new leads and facilitate the job of its sales team. As a result of following up with a
select group of leads, the site’s conversion rates have significantly increased.

Learning Today has achieved tremendous progress in attracting new traffic. Organic
traffic alone has doubled in the past six months from 14,765 visits in September to
28,980 in February.
