The SYNERGY Induction to Pedagogy programme was created by project partners, with the aim of helping micro-enterprise owners using the SYNERGY Exchange platform, to engage in peer-to-peer learning opportunities. This training programme comprises six modules and is delivered over 5 hours through a series of video lectures and PowerPoints which have been written, developed and recorded by project partners.
These modules provide micro-enterprise owners with a sound understanding of the basics in relation to e-didactics, quality criteria of peer-learning, evaluation of online learning resources and online learning environments, producing quality learning resources for peers and other knowledge that has helped them to become competent and confident online peer-educators. This module is entitled ‘Designing Learning Resources’ and provides content which relates to learning design models – ADDIE, Kolb and Kemp’s models – and an introduction to the basics of material design and techniques.

- 7. The teacher is no longer the expert in the classroom
- 8. Teachers may not want to change because they only know that they were taught to be the expert in the class
- 9. STUDENTS HAVE THE EXPERTISE ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO TECHNOLOGY
- 10. Teachers have less CPD So they are still trying to figure out things out and still teach to the test
- 11. THAT HAS TO CHANGE
- 12. Teachers will continue to research But they will share content with other teachers; they will not keep content to themselves.
- 13. Collaborative CPD and coaching support will be based on individual teacher need
- 14. Subject teachers will collaborate to redesign instruction that will paced to the learning needs of students; to work through the content at different levels
- 15. Teachers roles will change to be more like a coach Guiding students to find their strengths and weaknesses
- 16. The classroom can be any where, any time
- 17. Learners will drive and own their learning.
- 18. Coaching teachers will facilitate the “Four Cs” in all subjects areas
- 19. Creativity is an important skill but doesn’t work well with computers. Try new approaches to get things done, eg invention and problem solving.
- 20. Creativity is not something that is in your DNA… it can be taught. Look at problems in a new way; brainstorming
- 22. Understanding and communicating with others; sharing thoughts, ideas and questions. COMMUNICATION
- 23. College will represent the real world and all devices will be allowed
- 24. Students will have access to what they need when they need it. . Social media will be allowed so students can use real world tools on campus.
