Bradley Venn-Griffiths edited a film by first renaming film clips to make them easier to organize in the editing process. He then fitted the clips together in Adobe Premier Pro by adding transitions, effects, and background music to help the film flow professionally. Clips were cropped to remove unwanted background noise and music was edited to fit scenes and increase in volume toward the climax. Transitions between scenes and locations were added, and text like credits and titles were included to make the film look polished. Finally, the film was exported to upload and share with the target audience.

2. Renaming Film Clips
I chose to rename all of my clips that I was going to use as it made it easier for me to place the clips
in order when editing. This also made it easier when doing my rough cut analysis as I knew which
order the clips went in.

3. Photo evidence of me editing.
This shows me in the editing stage of the process
using Adobe Premier Pro 2019, so this is happening
once I have all of my clips and I am fitting them
together. I had to make sure all my clips were in the
correct order meaning the fitting together can be
done through adding transitions, special effect and
music in the background of my clips to help the film
flow and look professional.

4. Cropping my clips
Here I am cropping my clips as at
the beginning and end of some of
the clips my actors stopped acting
to early/late meaning they had to
be edited. This means that any
unwanted background noise can be
cropped out.

5. Using music
Here you can see I have imported some
music from Bensound and im editing the
volume of the music dependent on
whether my actors are speaking and if it
fits with the scene. Due to the fact my
film doesn’t have many scenes where
they are talking I have used the music
throughout my whole film as it adds a
background effect and keeps the
audience engaged. As we get to the
climax of the film the music has been
turned up so the target audience know
the film is coming to a close.

6. Transitions
Here I have added transitions to add
to the effect of the scene and to
show the switch in either timescale
or location. This allowed the flow of
the film to be better and this was
done by dragging the transition in
between two shots so it affected
both the shots.

7. Adding text
I then added text to my film to add to
the quality of the film and make it look
professional. I did this through adding
things such as credits to my actors, the
producer name which was myself and
the film title. This meant that my film
had something for the target audience
to remember it by. I have added some
text at the begin ing and some at the
end so my audience knows when the
film is ending.

8. Exporting my film
The final thing to do for my film was to
export it, this allowed my to upload it to
YouTube so my target audience was able
to watch it. Exporting my film also
meant I would be able upload it to ‘Short
of the week’ if I wanted too.
