2. Why I conducted a preliminary
task again.
I created a new preliminary task to show
ownership regarding my editing skills.
I’ve done research into 180 camera angles. This
enables the audience to see the actors face
expression from different angles.
I was able to add soundtrack and remove
unnecessary footage that isn’t needed.
By doing the task again allowed my editing skills to
become stronger.
This preliminary task is better than my previous one
because the camera angles are much better and
the footage runs smoothly and you can
understand the storyline.
3. Adding Soundtrack
Here you can see I’m adding soundtrack to my footage. Soundtrack makes the footage run more
smooth & allows the audience to understand what is going on. It also creates tension in the
atmosphere. By adding non-diegetic sound using final cut pro makes it easier rather than using a
diegetic sound as it may have muffles and wouldn’t be clear.
4. Put clips in order.
Here you can see I’m putting the clips in order, without putting my footage in order, my sequel
wouldn’t make sense. By using final cut pro, I’m able to move my footage around and put it in
order which makes much more easier.
5. Learnt how to use a new tool.
I learnt how to use the range selection tool, which enables you to select all the clips and move
them at the same time. This makes the editing process much easier to do.
6. Effect Used
I learnt how to add the directional effect, which allowed the scenes to overlap each other
smoothly, it also causes the smooth fade to move from one scene to the next.
